The hotel itself is decent The aesthetics are cool however when you walk in it instantly reeks of high school boy locker room It’s as if someone was nervously trying to cover up body odor with the smell of cheap perfume

Pillows had coffee stains from previous stays And there were stains on the duvet Now as far as the front desk I can honestly say they’re just about useless I called down to the front desk to have paper and pen sent and received nothing And then when I extend my stay I am locked out of my room at six in the morning to only be told by Timothy the front desk boy that he can’t find my reservation and that he will not help me if I continue to be rude and that he is new I was however more than direct to what I needed to be done All in all this hotel fell extremely short for the price that was paid Oh and don’t even waste your time at the hotels restaurant You’re better off going to McDonald’s

Jesse Courchaine

Beautiful modern hotel with a comfortable bed and quiet room Decently priced for the area Overnight parking is charged $10 even though it’s in the same free lot as Cheesecake Factory

Cleaning service woke us up at 9AM, there wasn’t a do-not-disturb sign we could put on the door and wanted to sleep in There is a mini-fridge but no microwave There is soda, water and snacks for sale at the front desk but they are not refrigerated Overall, we would stay here again, just a few minor issues!

Vincent Gaines

The Renaissance hotel is beautifully finished The lobby is nice Rooms are modern and tastefully furnished

The prove is high for this area, but less than many other big city hotels This is a Marriot member hotel so all the usual Marriott peeks are here I had a fine suite on the 5th floor Quiet, king bed room with living and dining space My room faces the east so I saw a lovely sunrise several days

My room was cleaned ONCE during my whole 16 night stay, even though I asked for cleaning service 4 times Even when they cleaned my room, it was only partly cleaned

Front desk didn’t seem interested helping me with my problem Every time I asked for cleaning, they said they would do in the next day, but never did The only time my room was cleaned was when I personally asked the housekeeping staff to do it Would not recommend this hotel for long stays Some of the staff in the front desk was very blunt and not niceBesides that, food & service in the restaurant is really good

Alicia Reed

Hotel fitness room and pool area were nice ( didn’t get a chance to use them) The hotel and room was very outdated Our first day was busy so we didn’t have a chance to do anything in the hotel except for sleep

However, around 2 am I woke up itchy with bites on my arm Turn on the light to see multiple bedbugs crawling in the bed Safe to say second night was canceled and I was forced to find a room somewhere else since I was traveling with children They’re traumatized

Brad Nagel

I seldom write reviews but felt it was important to get this one out there regarding my stay last nightRooms are very outdated and my dinner in the restaurant was awful The bed was stiff as a board

The chicken breast on my sandwich was about as thick as a paper towel and the bun was not fresh When you think of a Hilton this is not up to Hilton standardsThe front desk gentleman was wonderful and so was my waitress in the restaurant

This is simply one of the best Hilton properties I have stayed at The staff here simply goes above and beyond Huge recognition needs to be known by corporate about how kind phenomenal human beings Heather, Jose, and the afternoon front desk worker who was working on Thursday 1/6

She was just equally about as genuine and a awesome human being Each guest room is impeccably clean and I can’t speak higher of the gym and hot tub facilities which are superior to most This is just an all around amazing experience in Milwaukee Thanks Heather, Jose, and staff!

We were a large group of family and friends in town for my daughter’s wedding The hotel is a historical property that has been beautifully restored, taking advantage of some lovely architectural details The rooms are interesting, clean and well maintained

The location is great The front desk, housekeeping and breakfast staff are knowledgeable and friendly Worth every penny! Thank you!

Mike St John

Friendly and helpful staff Rooms were clean and bright Always enjoy having a full sized fridge and kitchenette space

Friendly staff delivering great service from everyone The hotel is beautiful and so clean Nice bed which delivered one of the best nights sleep

I especially loved the bathroom and shower Just beautiful We were given two tickets for two drinks each for happy hours Didn’t realized we would be served a full course dinner doing this time Food was excellent! Breakfast was a full course with pancakes and potatoes All of this is included in your stay We stayed for two nights and enjoyed been in the thick of all of the happenings Great hotel and great location Go Milwaukee, I’m truly in love with your city!

Laura Hoff

I stayed here while looking for apartments in Milwaukee and had an excellent experience Every staff member I encountered was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about their guests having a good time The free breakfasts and manager’s special every day helped make my trip stress-free

The general manager and his assistant manager both deserve raises for the excellent service The general manager, Chris, actively helped me find apartments and even went out of his way to offer me a discounted room to stay in while I wait for my apartment to get ready for move-in Plus, the downtown location made walking around the city easy and convenient

Amanda Zima

This was a great place to stay on our trip to Milwaukee! The hotel staff were beyond friendly, breakfast and kickback dinner were good and plentiful The 3 complimentary cocktails were an added bonus! Hotel and room were very clean and the bed was very comfortable The only suggestion I would have is the check in was confusing at first

The parking garage says there is access to the hotel by the skywalk but if you are first arriving, you need to actually go out and onto the first floor first Wish there was a sign or they listed that on the website Overall, this is a great hotel and I would definitely stay again

The employees at the hotel were all friendly and helpful from my first to last day That usually sets the tone for what I should expect from a business The area is in the reformed warehouse district

It is close enough by car to visit the Third Ward where most of the crowd was If you’re walking, plan a 15 minute trek The double queen room was spacious and the beds were comfy The decor fits the theme of the hotel The bathroom has an overhead rain shower I wish the detachable shower head had an adjustable feature instead of having to remove it for use There’s a restaurant with upscale food, casual bar and an outdoor eating space Room service was not offered when I visited I was disappointed this wasn’t mentioned on the website My theory is staffing shortages like most in the hospitality industry, but still a courtesy to inform guests would’ve been nice It was cool to see all the motorcycles out front from other guests Surprisingly it was limited noise and relatively quiet Lastly, the common areas of the hotel were cleaned and maintained

Nicole Duffy

My husband and I got married on April 16, 2022 at The Ivy House in Walker’s Point We needed a hotel for the weekend, for ourselves and guests The Iron Horse was nearby our venue and exactly what we were looking for to fit the overall theme of our wedding

Our experience with them started out a bit rocky, but turned out to be amazing! We struggled with our back and forth communications with the first person in charge of our room block Halfway through, we were assigned someone else (Amanda) who was extremely helpful and easy to work withWe had quite a large block at the Iron Horse, and Amanda made us feel confident in our stay The Iron Horse definitely lives up to the hype! The beauty of this hotel is obvious the second you step inside the lobby The rooms are gorgeous, especially our suite with the incredible view! We enjoyed hanging out at the bar, and plenty of our guests ate breakfast at the restaurant in the lobby A lot of our guests were hesitant about staying here because of the price, but ultimately said it was worth it Everyone enjoyed their stay and had such positive remarks about the building, and staff Thank you for a lovely weekend, Iron Horse!

Lead Sled

Amazing experience We’ve stayed at allot of hotels and this has been one of the coolest The location, downtown by the river, the decor was just super cool

Its motorcycle garage type themed The rooms were set up so well with a rain shower, minibar, fridge, microwave Service was on point also Valet service was nice, a bit humorous because the cars are parked 20 feet from the drop op point but room service for breakfast is great food, 5 star although it was crazy expensive 20 bucks a person atleastoh oh, I forgot the outdoor seating and lounge area We hung out there at night after the restaurant was closed Great spot to chill and talk Have a drink maybe ;)Overall we had a great time at the hotel, we will love going back

Although my stays are comped, I do feel the rooms could be cleaner, vacuuming everywhere and shampooing the carpets more often would be welcome Sometimes the room was spotless but the tables were not wiped off The biggest issues for me is that it would be nice if they could monitor guest smoking marijuana in the rooms and hallways

If there was a microwave in each room, that would be amazing Overall I enjoy my stay and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating

Sara Bella

The hotel was very nice Our room was large, cleaned, and well kept The bed was soft with 4 nice pillows

The bathroom was cleaned and fully stocked The casino had many fun games, we enjoyed our time on multiple machines Very disappointed when the restaurant closed 2 hours earlier and the bars on the casino floor where under staffed

Alice Cartwright

My friend and I stopped by yesterday and got some lunch to go but it was a good experience but I don’t gamble but there was a lots of people playing the colts that seemed to be enjoying themselves and having a good timeThe food was delicious and I enjoyed it tooThe place is clean and the workers are kind and friendly and I like thatSo if you like to gamble it ‘s the place to check ✔️ out or if you just want to get something to eat the food is good

I was there for a business trip for a week As far as style it’s a very trendy and contemporary place The location isn’t bad either

I have two major complaints First, I reserved a handicap room with a seat in the shower After my morning shower, the floor was flooded everyday Enough not to be able to mop up with a towel Occasionally it would seep under the bathroom wall and into the main room by the door I went down to the front desk and spoke to whom I presume to be the manager He told me that there isn’t adequate pitch so it won’t drain properly I’m not hard to please since none of my property got wet but it does mean there will be long-term damage to their property as it leaks into their walls and carpet, which it did This will inevitably lead to a nasty mold problem and water damage is really expensive Actually, by the time I left, I think it smelled bad since the carpet by the door was routinely wet Since they don’t seem intent on fixing it, I think the public has the right to know before they reserve a room Management was very polite about it and even bought me breakfast one morning but that doesn’t change the fact that there’s a structural problem they haven’t addressed Second, this is the first hotel I’ve ever been to where there wasn’t a restaurant or continental breakfast It’s designed like a Starbucks “Grab and Go” but it’s not my cup of tea Would I stay again? It wasn’t a nightmare but if I had a choice, absolutely not Next time I’m just going to tell my employer to pick some place else

Sidney Condos

Well I’m not even 4 hours into it and they failed to mention that they are valet only, which is an additional charge of $20 daily or $30 over night (gotta love hidden fees!) Also I came with a three year old and based my hotel choice off of the travel wisconsins website seeing as this was “top 6 family friendly hotels in Milwaukee” but doesn’t care to explain that you have to reserve time frames to actually use their pool which of course lead my 3 year old to threw a massive tantrum in the lobby because it took me going all the way downstairs about to go to the pool for them to tell me I’m just hoping she stays awake to make it to this pool time seeing as that’s the whole reason I picked this place for the night & will not have the time too during the rest of my time here

Welcome to Milwaukee I guess? Really really frustrated by the lack of communication Overall clean hotel, amazing super kind staff, great location, only downfall is the lack of communication when it came to their parking & pool policy Whiles the hour reserved pool time was really really nice, I’d want to know that you’d have to reserve a time ahead of time

Javier A. Fernández

I decided to take Memorial Day weekend for my family and me to explore Milwaukee While the arrival was very easy with digital check-in and the available staff, this was the easiest part of the tripDay 1 – we had no garbage can in the room

There was a dark red stain near the bed I assumed it was part of the design (it wasn’t) Later that evening as we pulled the sheets back, we realized that the red stain was seeping through from the mattress to the sheets and it looked like someone either spilled or ejected something onto the mattress and floor I mentioned it to the front desk and though they offered a different room if available-i decided to settle for the sheet change and clean up (I SHOULD HAVE MOVED)Day 2-After a great day exploring District 3 and the riverwalk-we settled in for the evening and ordered food from one of the nearby restaurants As we were in the room I noticed something n the sink basin ANTS There were several and as soon as I saw that I pulled our sheets back to discover a few on the mattress I called the front desk and was told that there was no one to address the situation but they would note it on the log????!!! Luckily I was able to dispose of the few visible ones but sleep was out of the questionCheckout-No note from the previous night When I informed the guest service person about the situation she stated “it makes sense, you are on a lower floor, so ants” WHAT??No manager contacted me There was no reaction The location is great My recommendationSTAY ELSEWHERE

This hotel is a modest 6 story with no good views The rooms are nice inside and appear to have been refreshed recently I like the layout with 2 queen beds and a good sized desk

The shower and toilet are have a door with the sink outside so 2 can get ready at one time This is a mid level hotel so not as luxurious as many Marriott hotels are The front desk person was efficient and got me checked in within moments He seemed experienced and knows the layout of the hotel enough to answer questions about the rooms No suites were available this week

Morgan Stewart

The hotel itself was really nice and clean The staff was great and very professional We arrived early, but they were able to get us checked into a room quickly

The original room they put us in had an issue, but they promptly switched us to another room with no hassle at all I would love to have left a five star review, but unfortunately our night time/sleep experience was pretty terrible We woke up around midnight to really loud music, shouting, doors constantly opening and closing (not quietly), etc It was like we got a room within a block of rooms reserved for a party Ended up calling the front desk as it was definitely the room right next door and wasn’t seeming to wind down, they said they’d take care of it Laid awake hearing this and not able to sleep until at least 1:30-2 and the staff never seemed to address it That made for a far less than desirable experience and has me up in the air if I’d return

Marie Nilson

This was a typical experience at a Marriott Courtyard so if you’ve stayed there before this location is on par for what to expect However, I have to say the staff here are wonderful! Kind and extremely accommodating from small requests like a vase for flowers to a big request like when our room reeked of mold Location was perfect for us being ~10 minutes walking distance from the conference center

Great market hall next door with lots of food options

The amenities were good but I can’t recommend anyone stay here especially if you’re going to park on premises Multiple cars were broken into, eventually including our own, night after night during my stay Looks like this has been happening for months if not longer, and yet there are still not enough security measures being taken to deter whoever keeps doing this

Zero cameras in the north lot, which is full of broken glass Also, even though the staff were aware that multiple car windows were smashed and a thunderstorm was expected, no one thought to contact us or to put anything over our window, so we found it in the morning and now we’ve got water damage too The waffles at breakfast were pretty good though

Meg Bray

We agree, stay AWAY! We went to the Brewers game& came back to a parking lot of full of vehicles with their windows broken out (at least 5) that we saw driving through to turn around & park somewhere else I’m pregnant & was a bit worried about what was going on We went to the front desk to report it & the front desk said they were aware

We went up to our floor & found rooms of people that were packing up & leaving They were there since Thursday & this was the second time they experienced the break ins They also told us that some of their vehicles were stolen earlier too! Nope, all of our group (8 people) packed up & checked out Being in my 3rd trimester we were not going to risk having our brand new truck stolen or broken into!!! The front desk was unhelpful & cold when we asked about a refund for rooms we never even got to use We simply got a business card for the manager maybe with all this going on the manager should be there at night to help the staff very disappointed on how the situations were treated Especially for those that experienced it more than once! I didn’t even hear a simple “sorry” to anyone involved

Andrew B

I have been staying here on a regular basis for over a year, and while the hotel is nice, the neighborhood is not I have had not one, but two vehicles broken into and windows shattered this week, and this morning there was about 15 trucks broken into And despite being told by Milwaukee police they need to address their lack of security cameras in their parking lot, they refuse to do anything about it

Nice hotel, but I wouldn’t trust leaving your car here This apparently happens all the time

Fabulous hotel First time staying here, retro styled, newly remodeled, very comfortable room Stayed in a premier king room

Location is very quiet and safe A bit of a walk to restaurants and bars, but worth it since the hotel is just plain cool Was pleased that it had such a nice mother with everything you would need, including a gas stove and large refrigerator We’ll definitely stay here again

Christina Aro

Very cute hotel with comfy studio apartment-type rooms The kitchen includes all of the supplies you would need to cook a meal There is a grocery store across the street as well, so it would be easy to pick up the food supplies needed

Parking is provided for an extra fee The hotel still uses old fashioned keys rather than swipe cards, in case that is an issue for anyone (we did not find it problematic) There is also a great cafe in the hotel that had very tasty food and coffee Note that some units are actual apartments with full-time residents–again, this was not an issue for us, just something we did not know prior to checking inHotel is also in a safe and convenient location It is maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the lakefront and the art museum, and we walked to Summerfest in about 20-30 minutes

Angela Galitski

Retro hotel in an ideal location You can walk to the river Walk in under 10min There is no a/c but you are able to open windows onto a courtyard with a nice breeze and has a ceiling fan

Very quiet location with a comfy bed to recover from a long drive from California Service is great and good is amazing! Be sure to order ahead and take back to your room that is equipped with a kitchen!

I liked the place A lot of what other negative reviewers state is true: super small bathrooms, old furniture and patch jobs here and there But who cares

The beds were super comfy, shower was nice and hot, TV was nice It’s a good hotel despite its age The rooms are reasonably priced and ALL the staff were incredibly nice and helpful If you want a gigantic bathroom and the newest furniture possible then stay at a $400 a night hotel The only reason I docked it 2 stars is they have what would normally be a complimentary breakfast bar at hotelsit was $18 freaking…COME ON HYATT!!!

Debbie Matheny

The hotel is decent Our room was a king size room with a ‘city view’ The view was of construction

No big deal! The location to our venue was within walking distance The real issue was the fact that the hotel charged my credit card $41869 and states they only charged me $34891 (with a reimbursement of $50 for incidentals) leaving my total bill at $29891 after the reimbursement My Visa bill still shows a charge of $41869 Customer service was absolutely no help at all just wanting to speak with my bank I definitely do NOT recommend this hotel 🥲

Jennifer Bird

I booked this hotel as the ratings were better then another hotel in the area I myself work in a hotel so I was disappointed in the hyatt and its cleanliness The parking garage elevator and stairs were disgusting, the hotel elevators were also disgusting

I couldn’t believe that there was no mattress protector or bottom sheet on the bed as well The room was a good size and clean but the carpet looks like it needs to be cleaned Bathroom was small and the shower head and bathtub faucet sprayed every which way but down The front desk was great though Super nice even though they could see I was in a not so great mood I’m sorry but I’ve paid way less for nicer hotels that have things included so why I paid this much for a room and then having to pay $24 for overnight parking when there is no breakfast or pool was crazy to me I will not stay here again

The hotel itself is dated and slightly worn, however, the room was very clean We came in contact with many staff members, and they were all so friendly I, specifically, want to recognize Sharon who was working the front desk area

Sharon was efficient, professional and congenial Marriott is extremely fortunate to have Sharon as an employee What a fabulous first impression!

We have been staying here through my daughters college years at UWM and this was our final stay due to graduation If my daughter did not graduate we would definitely look elsewhere for a hotel room We were early and arrived at noon, we were told by the shorter heavy set woman check in is at 3

She told us she would check how long before our room would be ready 10 minutes later she comes back, ignores the fact we are sitting there waiting and goes to back only to come out with a plate of food and sits in lobby eating while watching tv Then 3 other employees come to lobby to converse and buy snacks (yes, everyone needs a break i agree) but these were all cleaning people The cleaning manager asked them if they had work to do? Slowly dispersing I think they went back to work Also 1 lady worker stood at front counter the hole time we were there We checked in at 3 Cleaning manager said he cleaned room himself which took 1 hour 15 minutes after he said give him 20-25 minutes Oh did I mention, the desk clerk went back for food 2 more times for herself That evening there was a tall slender woman behind the desk What a joy compared to the cranky one in the morning I think she needs to look elsewhere for employment since she definitely shouldn’t be the face of Marriott

Most of the staff are extremely rude The rooms are not cleaned There’s dirty dishes in the kitchen and mold in the shower

I’ve had multiple things stolen from and no help from the staff besides a vague email weeks ago from the manager They won’t clean your room until you ask multiple times Even then, all they’ll do is take the trash out and give you new towels

Currently staying at the facility and there’s ants on the night stand and in the bed Requested to cancel the second night and was denied because we used a third party So I then ask if someone could atleast clean the room and was told maintenance has to physically see the ants

My best advise is to not stay at this hotel it’s infested I’ve just wasted money but I would rather waste them be ate up by bugs

EVERYONE at the front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, management, etc was kind and helpful They went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable, welcome, and appreciated

During a 30 year career of excessive business travel at nearly every type of hotel, I can say that the service at this hotel has met and even exceeded the service at 5-star hotelsLocation is great if you like shopping, parks, and trails Hotel is also pet-friendly

Meko “Eyecandy” Lynette

The room appears clean but I’m tall so I can see the top of the microwave and refrigerator hasn’t been wiped in 6 months

soooo much dust and food crumbs but I Lysol wipes every surface anyway but I had a great stay pool is open but small And no hot tub😳😳😳😡 shopping is here next door walking distance food next door Breakfast here will hold you over but no waffles no bacon no pancakes but they do have sausage eggs potatoes Cereal bagels muffins toast coffee juice Overall good experience

The room and location is great We requested cleaning service 2 days into our 4 day stay and NEVER received our room cleaned We requested housekeeping again the next day only to return to an uncleaned room

We checked out, but not before reporting this issue to management This location appears to have alot of temporary long-term residency, kids in the hallway late at night and families at the daily breakfast

We hosted our wedding here, and we loved working with Marco from the Sheraton North Shore! Jon got us started on our wedding planning, and Marco jumped onboard soon after to take over He was always responsive to emails and calls, helped us figure out details we didn’t even know to think about, and made our weekend absolutely beautiful Even the day of, Marco was with us, communicating with our vendors and officiant to make everything so smooth

The hotel was undergoing renovations while we were there, but that did not distract from our day at all Our guests loved having the ease of staying at the same place all the festivities were happening All the staff at the hotel were accommodating and kind, we really couldn’t have asked for a better experience

Latasha Davis

The location was great The room was nice and clean There was a lot of remodeling during our stay, so noise was prevalent

There wasn’t a pool, picnic area, or any place for families to gather to eat outside food You could only eat in the dining area if you purchased their food Other than that All was well! I would stay at this hotel again!

One of the worse “hotels” I’ve ever stayed in It’s more so like a motel than anything I came into town for a few hours to visit a friend who had a recent death in the family, got a room close to their home for $299 on my American Express card

The place, the room, the whole thing is not even worth $100 I don’t even know where to begin The chair in the room was torn apart The bathroom door doesn’t slide and it’s old The AC unit in the room is old The tub wouldn’t drain properly They shouldn’t list this hotel

I stayed on February 5th The comfortable bed was the only good part and the staff was nice to me personally However, right at check-in, there were some other customers that were upset because they were told the pool would be open and it wasn’t

I didn’t care because I wasn’t going to use it but the way the manager on duty handled it was pretty rough to watch She told them it wasn’t her that gave that information and just said “So do you just want to cancel your reservation?” No apology, no attempt to help them find a different hotel in the area She could probably tell that I was taken back so she was nice to me but I am surprised that she is a manager The next morning, the breakfast set-up was hands down the most nasty breakfast I’ve ever seen in a hotel Pancake maker was broken (other customers said it’s been broken for a few days), fridge was empty, juice dispenser was empty, food spilled every where, and all there was left was cold eggs and cold, greasy sausages I took one bite, spit it out and went to a diner down the street Yuck The manager that morning was nice and apologized but makes me wonder why that area was so neglected Will not be back

The hotel itself was very nice Would have been one of the best ones we have ever stayed at IF they would have cleaned after the previous clientsThe beds were phenomenal! Not your typical stiff and uncomfortable hotel bed

When we checked into the hotel, we noticed an odor that was musty in nature We thought it was the cleaning solution We got ready for our concert and left for the night When we returned around 2am, the smell was noticeably worse Unfortunately due to time, we just turned on the air, opened the windows, and the bathroom fan to make it bearable In the morning, we noticed there were wet spots and obvious signs of dog feces around the room We took pictures and showed the front desk manager immediately She stated she would talk to her manager and get back to us regarding our stay It has been over 3 months and we still haven’t heard from the hotel and was charge full price on our room Will not be staying there!!!

this was the best hotel stay we’ve had in a long time from walking inside, walking through the halls, and entering the room the entire hotel smelled and looked clean our room was super modern and bright with a big window

you get a light filtering shade and a room darkening shade that you can put up or down the TV is a big high quality flat screen on the wall and the bed was extremely comfy soft sheets and didn’t smell like bleach or really anything at all the huge walk in shower was amazing as well and even the complimentary soap left us smelling good and very soft i would love to stay here again when it comes to the location, you’re about 15 mins from Milwaukee we went to a show at The Rave and it was a convenient drive you kind of feel secluded from the city but still very close to attractions
