Stayed two nights here in different rooms The beds are very comfortable and great There’s no microwave oven in the room

Kinda odd for this day and time The staff don’t stay at the reception desk and you have to wait One of the staff members argued with me over an extra bag of tea and wanted to charge me Two people in the room and one tea? Come on guy seriously pick your battles Over all I would stay here again it’s a nice place

Our Great Adventures

Hyatt is always our go to when we need a hotel Its high standards of cleanliness have always been consistent My husband also needs a good area to work and Hyatts always have plenty of space to accomodate

Usually, I take lots of pictures but we were all exhausted from a long day and ready to relax Our room was exactly what we expected- clean, with plenty of space We ordered off the menu shortly after arriving The prices were good for the convenience and the food came out quickly(burgers, fries and pizza) There were no complaints The next morning my crew was excited to see what they had for breakfast This is always a fun part of staying in a hotel for my kids It was a nice variety and it was being refilled and maintained well The lobby was also a well lit and inviting area to enjoy a conversation, wait on transportation or just sit with a cup of coffee Bottom line: I would recommend staying here

By the grace of God they had a availability after we had the worst experience at another local hotelIt was packed due to a traveling baseball & softball organization, but they still made it feel like home! We are headed back to Tennessee from Ludington & had the WORST experience at another nearby hotel As soon as we arrived it was apparent the rooms were much CLEANER and that’s all I needed for my family and I

The rooms were amazing, the showers were hot, the app was easy and fool proof—and the staff… the staff was AMAZING and made me feel at home!I give these guys FIVE STARS!

The hotel was very busy but the staff coped well Rooms are reasonably priced The breakfast was good , may have needed some more supplies given the number of people staying

The staff were great and very apologetic for running out of some food items Lots of parking available great location and convenient to walk to stores and restaurants

On July 19th, 2022, I checked into this hotel at 11:30pm for a reservation I had made a few weeks priorAfter I was given a room key, I entered my room and there was another guest asleep inside the room The staff had given my reserved room to another guest and given me a key to that room

I returned to the front desk, the staff apologized, and gave me a different room with 2 queen beds (even though I had reserved a single king bed) and $50 off the total room billThis is a reminder to always use the secondary deadbolt lock when in your room – you never know who they will give a key to

Eric Boal

Our visit was a disaster Carpet was stained, and the toilet was running slow so we informed the front desk Said they would note it on the file about the toilet and carpet, they would call about the toilet to have someone fix it

Later call back to have the toilet fixed and no one showed requested linens for the pullout, no one showed, requested towels no one showed Zero to room service The pool didn’t smell like chemicals and the water level was down, had a garden hose coming from the chemical room going into the pool Asked the front desk and they said it was fine to use When checking out after my family was using the pool for two days, a notice the pool was down for maintenance was posted in the elevator now I have a prescription for antibiotics and steroids for a severe ear infection Also my children and I have found bug bites on our legs, hmmm also noticed a bedbug encasement was on 1 of 3 beds in our room Then they say the carpet and toilet are our fault and keep our deposit Horror show

Fresh, “homey” full breakfast! For a family of four, we were thrilled with the morning delights The staff team shows great hospitality Kudos to the kitchen team!!!! Rooms- again, clean, inviting, spacious suite Beyond the franchise/chain-kind of hotel

If we ever come back to visit Wisconsin, no doubt/ I will reserve here! Grateful

Ira Thor

I was passing through South Bend on a road trip with my son and wow, what a find this was! I’m sure it is super busy during the school year but on a summer weekend, it was perfect Pleasant surprise to have a suite and be able to stretch out Quiet, very competitively priced, and safe

Got a good night’s sleep Breakfast was a little lighter than expected and they were out of most food 30 minutes prior to the end of breakfast; that’s my only critique Otherwise, I would stay here again

ralph caldin

Aside from the great location the staff here was very professional 3 professional and helpful The room was big and clean Although and had a small TV

I really enjoyed their selection for breakfast Would definitely come back here againSpecial thanks to aurora

The rooms were very nice I love the layout of the rooms also LOVE the brand of shampoos/conditioner (drybar) they smell so good There was a wall that maybe needed a little cleaning in the room but other than that it was great! Also, the bartender Libby was awesome

She made me this grapefruit drink that was amazing She recommended several places to check out and we enjoyed the bar we actually returned later for drinks and a bite to wrap up our evening

Dani Maeda

It was good BUT

I was disappointed in the pool area It was a mess and really gross There was a film across the pool and a bunch of hair and lint floating in itThe elevators were a bit scary/Shakey One was out of order and the others were ricketyNo complimentary breakfast It costs $3 for cold cereal and you can buy sandwiches and cappuccino I’ve had better breakfast options at smaller hotelsThe comedy club in the basement was nice Good entertainment The area was awkward though They need a better layout for them Felt very cramped in there Like we were stuffed in a back room they forgot aboutThe gym space was very nice! Even though I never use hotel gyms, this one I would! They had a really great area and options for the equipmentOverall, we enjoyed our stay If you are going for the pool, I would call ahead to make sure it is even in order and just plan to spend extra on breakfast in the morning

Dmitriy Y

Convenient location for downtown South Bend Our first room had a broken air conditioner, but luckily they were able to move us to another room The rooms are generally clean, with some stains on shower curtains, etc

The lobby is nice, but in need of updates Skip the complimentary coffee in the lobby as it tastes like the grounds were reused many times over Overall, a decent price for the experience The best thing it has going for it is a prime location

The service was good at this hotel but the facilities need work The bathroom is extremely outdated The shower head is unmanageable and just sprays everywhere

The tv wouldn’t change channels The hairdryer was from the 1980s Everything else about the room is your standard courtyardThis bistro is pretty bare bones and wasn’t open for dinner/drinks like many I’ve been toThis place gets the job done but it won’t be an excellent courtyard stay like you may be expecting

Mike Daniels

Front desk person just going through the motions at check in Shower was awful Never got very hot

Shower knob kept breaking off The shower head just kind of sprayed water all over the place TV remote kept losing connection If I pressed anything but channel up or down, I had to turn the TV off and on again I expect better from Courtyard

Maria Masha

Don’t book at this hotel I would give zero stars if I couldOverpriced for the service and accommodation you get

Rooms are stinky, bathrooms are super outdated Cleanliness is questionable and besides sope there is nothing else you get like in other hotelsThere is no complementary breakfast For a 3-star hotel this is a shame!

Shocked at how this location charged over $250 for one night’s stay! Shocked at how the breakfast had no milk, no bagels, NO FRUIT, cereal was nearly out, but breakfast lady (very nice) was working VERY FAST, but needed help No one was there to help her thoughAlso Shocked at the lack of product in our bathroom (no shampoo or conditioner in the shower, lotion bottle and hand soap bar at sink was about the size of a large marble)

Only 2 towels in bathroom as well, and there was 4 of us For $250, this is OUTRAGEOUS! We have been staying at Holiday Inn Express exclusively and never have we spent SO MUCH for one night and had such a negative experience I think it’s time to find another chain that is cheaper, that has better service across their brand (chain) There is little consistency with this brand as most of the are great (and MUCH cheaper), but this was the worst in the last 7 years 1 star for the nice bed, clean linens and clean room though

Tiffany Rupp

Stayed in South Bend to visit a friend before continuing our journey This hotel was close to their house so that we could visit longer Overall, it’s tour pretty typical holiday Inn express

I’ve never been happy with the breakfast they provide but it’s decent enough The room was okay The bath needed to be cleaned better and the smoke detector flashed really bright very often The pool is small but a good temp for a quick swim

Renee Johnson (Boo)

First time using this site Clean enough and nice staff Could not find AC controls at first and our room was freezing cold

Had request late check out and was told that was fine But next morning we were asked to leave the room before our late check out We were told nothing on room info stating late check outHad to sit in the lobby for 2 hours to wait for our daughters who had an appointment that morning Hence, the late check out

Outstanding new hotel with a great happy hour when it is up and running The rooms are super nice and include a fridge and microwave The gym has a great selection of equipment but no filtered water machine

The breakfast was delicious The potatoes were done perfectly It’s a little inconvenient that the breakfast starts at 7:30 and not earlier for people trying to hit the road early The beds are very comfortable It was frustrating they didn’t have the happy hour running one of the nights I would still highly recommend staying here if you are in the area

Nina Awad Becklund

We had a canceled flight and were desperate for a room We went to Brandon, the manager of Embassy Suites, and he was so caring and helped us out tremendously He is truly an outstanding asset, and we will be back because of him along with Cynthia

I believe her name was at the 530 happy hour She went out of her way and was so kind, professional, and a joy to speak with These two employees really made a rough night into an enjoyable one Thank you both! Rooms are clean, the hotel is great, and has a great bar and excellent breakfast The entire staff was great!!!

Erin Combs

Hotel feels a bit upscale Service is friendly, efficient, and informative Breakfast and an evening refreshment reception are included

Rooms are clean and spacious Located right on Notre Dame campus There’s a restaurant on site as well Note: They don’t do room service (although there’s a button on the phone for it) You’ll have to order carry out and grab it yourself but that’s not a big deal

Clean and updated rooms! White linens so you can tell if they are in good shape A lot of light colors in general so you can tell they keep everything clean Nicely outfitted and clean bathroom again done light colors

Pump shampoo, body wash and conditioner in the shower Everything smelled ok unlike a lot of hotels They are also dog friendly with a $75 pet fee The only disappointment is they charge $6 for what looks to be a very poor quality Continental breakfast The hot breakfast buffet is $1500 per person For what you pay for the room you should get a free Continental Continental breakfast That is our only complaint about the hotel and service

Joe Haupt

The positive elements of our stay were helpful staff members combined with a large and clean room The only drawback was that we booked a handicapped-accessible room and found that not to be the case The room featured a walk-in shower with a grab-bar; however, there were no other accessibility features

There was no seat in the shower and no grab-bars in the bathroom area including around the low-mounted toilet

Jay Mercier

This Hilton Garden Inn is one of the nicest in the chain They offer daily breakfast, nightly dinner with a well stocked bar and ample free parking And although the hotel is located about a 15-minute drive from the South Bend (SBN) airport, they offer free shuttle service to and from the airport

Lastly, all the staff were friendly and helpful

Upon arrival I parked at what I thought was the front of the building, but when I walked in there was just a long hallway Called the front desk from the parking lot to find out where I should park, and staff took forever to answer the phone When someone finally did answer she literally sounded like she just woke up

It was weirdThe desk was not manned when I walked in, but eventually someone came out from a back room, blowing her nose as she was walking up to the desk… It was kinda gross, but she was friendlyMy room was clean, AC worked well, beds were clean and comfortable My only real complaint about the room is that the TV remote only worked about half the time There was a microwave and fridge, but the fridge did not include a freezer compartmentThe pool was gross The water itself seemed relatively clean, but the floors and walls certainly weren’tCheck out was easy

Stayed Fri 6/24-Sat 6/25 Hampton Inn and SuitesGreat service, friendly staff Beds were very firm, so comfortable for me but my husband found a bit too firm The facility was very clean and well kept from what we saw (only there from 11pm to 8am)

Continental breakfast had many options: individual cereals, bagels, wafel makers, premade/reheated cheese omlets, sliced keilbasa, pancakes, muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, tea Pool was closed due to covid restrictions (not a complaint, just a note) Masks were provided if you wanted one, but not required Sanitizer was readily available We saw only one luggage trolley while we were there Luckily we were able to use it, but I imagine it could be frustrating if you are visiting on a weekend/higher traffic time We would definitely stay here again if we travel this way

Mary Jackson

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! Terrible front desk employees We recently booked a block of hotel rooms for my wedding and had the worst experience going thru that process Rude and unhelpful to the guests I invited to reserve rooms

The lack of customer service while speaking on the phone with the employees was a jumbled, nerve racking mess! Only makes sense that they were just as awful in person They didn’t even put us in the room we requested for the bride and groom I will never stay here again and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone

Redline Transportation –

Clean and spacious rooms The building itself however is ready to collapse I was assigned to a room on the 3rd floor

This is not the floor you take children to! Immediately upon entering I thought I was in one of those specialty built houses on an angle The floor had at least a 6″ drop from one wall to the other It was evident the floor system was damaged and ready to collapse into the lower levels I felt as though I needed to put a block of wood under one shoe just to keep level as I walked through the large room Bed was of average comfort level for a hotel so that was good I guess It too was sloped with the floor so I slept with my feet to the headboard so I wasn’t sleeping with my head on a decline I was worried I the building wouldn’t make it through the night but to my surprise, it didn’t come crashing down in the night (thank goodness there was no snow on the roof) I live a little on the edge but within an acceptable safety level For that reason, I didn’t use the bathtub as I was concerned the added weight of water to the room would send me on an express trip to the 1st floor Definately something thrill seekers should try I think t was room 310

Angela Park

Overall 2 star Good location right by the airport and is ideal as a last minute option (meaning there are late comers and early risers you can hear coming in and out) Room felt mildewy with half eaten food still in the fridge and poor water pressure in the shower

The bed was also uncomfortable and the air conditioner/heater was very loud This place does have a pool, a 24 hour fitness center, and offers breakfast Service was friendly and cordial both on the phone and in person

Britni Gettinger

You cannot tell me these rooms were cleaned There was a pint of vodka left in the fridge and an earring on the bed It took the front desk person 10 minutes to greet me even after ringing the bell twice and it was not even a late night check in

Still trying to figure out where all the good reviews came from; I don’t even see much hope for this place

Good hotel overall a bit on the average side, TV is small in the rooms, elevator is very small to go to the next floor, some other customers have their dogs in that small breakfast area Breakfast was good but the bacon was undercooked omelets were tough Compared to other Best Western hotels with a little bit below their average

People were nice though they help they respond and it was clean I would stay there again

eaglewing13

Generally good hotel where everything seemed to work about as expected Beds were comfortable, and unlike the last place with the same brand, things like the toilet and keys actually worked They were having a lot of system problems when trying to check in but they seemed to be gone by check out two days later so it was likely temporary

Breakfast was average at best Still just barely gets a 4 instead of a 3 because of the good room and price

Becky Outten

Upon checking in at 10:00pm (very tired) the staff were absolutely amazing & friendly! We had a horrible time at a super 8 at the beginning of our trip and coming here was a breath of fresh air going from horrible staff to amazing staff here really makes a big difference! We so much appreciated the huge options for breakfast My dad had a waffle with everything on it so he was happy Very clean rooms and friendly staff all the way around

I would definitely stay here again the only problems were the key card didn’t work for the far door to come back in but they explained that to us And the hot tub spa was down But those aren’t major issues ♥️

We just stayed here for 3 nights with our hockey team & had a fantastic visit The staff was very friendly & always helpful Great first impression from the minute they greeted us

The room was a mix between updated & old but spotless & well maintained I really don’t care of the bed side table is brand new or from the 90s, as long as it is clean & functional It was Loved the giant tub but wished the shower head was a foot higher At 5’7″ it was almost too low for me Pullout bed was literally the most comfortable pullout I’ve ever seen Very new Plenty of towels for the shower & pool They provided shampoo, soap & lotion No conditioner But I pack my own anyway The lobby was very comfortable We spent quite a bit of time there with the other parents & players Good pool area with plenty of seating Nice breakfast bar but I wish it has more variety from day to day Fresh scrambled eggs made in a skillet not poured out of a bag & baked in the oven, bacon, sausage or ham, pancakes, waffles, cereal & some pastries Except for the meat, it was the same buffet for 3 days But much better than some other places we stayed this season The hotel decor is dated, but I think that has a lot to do with nostalgia for ND And I don’t care as long as it’s clean Everything that mattered was great & we will happily go back to this hotel

Jill Sweet

Tammy and all the staff were AMAZING! They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and checked on us often-from front desk to maintenence Our kids couldn’t wait to see Tammy when we returned from our excursions each day Breakfast was fabulous, too

The only thing that could be better is if the jacuzzi was in the room with the pool We WILL be back!

The Mishawaka location is great because you’re near shopping and dining spots We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was nice in sizeDecently furnished

Nice pool areaThe furniture could use an updateThey offer breakfast and they offer a decent variety of food and it’s constantly being refilled, which is a plusThe front desk and housekeepers teams where kind and professionalThe kitchen supervisor was very rude! He questioned me on meal tickets for my 4 and 5 yr old grand daughters who eat like baby birds and literally ate less than a full plate of food between the 3 of them;meanwhile there were unsupervised teenagers that were messing over large quantities off food and wiping out eveythingPlease keep in mind my husband provided the meal tickets prior to us even getting food The supervisor didn’t check with his staff he just made a vast assumptionJust a friendly note:KIDS 5 AND UNDER SHOULD EAT FREE!!
