CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!! While I’m not one to normally leave a bad review, our stay at the vinoy certainly left a lot to be desired especially given the price At first arrival, we noticed that the hotel was under construction which was not previously disclosed to us The construction was loud and the fitness area was unavailable which was not noted by staff or easily seen on the website (if at all even present) when we booked our room

We were greeted by Susan who was both rude and unprofessional two days in a row So why give it three stars instead of 1? Following these experiences, we did speak to Gabriel the manager who worked to smooth things over The historic hotel is absolutely beautiful even under construction and the accommodations (other than the sound) were great The other staff, specifically Ismail, Marcus, Jimmy, and those at the restaurant went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant Because there was only one “bad apple” and construction was going on, we were encouraged to come back which we will consider because of the people who did enhance our experience

I was here for a conference Wonderful hotel in a nice location in St Petersburg The staff is friendly and nice

The rooms are nice There are two sections: the older original and the newer section While I was here (Mar 2022), the older section had a lot of construction happening I heard they’re updating things to go for a 5 star rating so surely the updates will be worth it

I expected a much better experience At a late night checkin, front desk receptionist argued there’s no way I had a room because they were fully booked After checking, she realized that I did and gave me my key without apologizing! The shower drain in my room was clogged

The safe was not working either To top things off, I found a note in my room saying they will be coming in to upgrade the phone system during the day I called the front desk requesting no one should enter my room in my absence They assured me this won’t happen if I leave the “do not disturb” sign on my door When I returned to my room later that day, I found they had entered and upgraded the phone anyway Finally, I went down to the front desk one night asking if there was a vending machine anywhere, but attendant said “no we don’t have one for guests” I walked away confused thinking “do they have one for staff?” Five minutes later I asked another receptionist who nicely pointed me to the vending machine! I’m not sure about the quality of the training here, especially night shift It’s a shame!

Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here I am a Marriott Gold Member and the hotel was very dated The first room I checked into had a dirty toilet seat and an air condition vent that sounded like a JET was taking off

I moved to a second room and at 3 am the SMOKE DETECTOR went off blaring then it happened again at 5 am They replaced the detector the next day I had to ask to be compensated and the front desk Manager Tanya was less than pleasant and not apologetic I was attending a business training at the hotel and there were ants all over the coffee machine and stale bagels and expired soda were served The employees helping out with the training were very friendly and helpful which was a bright side to the trip

Sam Singh

I was there at the beginning of the month in my monthly training at MGE… we got in super late after a 4 hour drive… I was very tiered when we got to the room we noticed it was a bit warm … long story short the AC was broken! Called the front desk and told them… not only did they immediately change our rooms but the brought the key to our door so we did not have to go back to the lobby!! In the middle of the night this was awesome

Schlandra Fall

Me and my family went here on a short vacation This was an experience we will never forget The bed was horribly uncomfortable, the pillows were to soft they did not support our necks my husband and I barley slept due to this issue

The ice maker on the floor was so dirty that I would never ever ever even think about getting ice from there They charged for the WiFi 1295 a day Parking was at a minimum because they are repaving the parking lot The restaurant does not have a kid friendly menu or reseasonable prices The room floors are hardwood so when room service came they should have sweept the floor but all they did was make the bed and put out new towels We decided that we will not stay here again when we go back to Florida

This Hilton was definitely one of the better Hilton properties I’ve stayed at recently Unfortunately, I’ve found that Hilton’s standards have declined DRASTICALLY ever since the onset of COVID-19, but this hotel thankfully has managed to preserve the Hilton standards I once knew and loved The property was impeccably clean

The room was drop dead silent at night and the bed and its linens were excellent I slept like a baby at this hotel My only critique that is NOT a fault of the hotel is that there aren’t many dining options nearby Most restaurants will be a 10-15 minute drive, so if restaurant proximity matters to you as a traveler you may want to consider somewhere else Nonetheless, I’d recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a resort This site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I’m sure! The staff at this location were all wonderful and hotel is beautiful Our Jr suit was very spacious and pretty modern The only thing I recommend is eating out The LuX restaurant is super expensive and tasteless We had a better breakfast at a local Cafe named Cosmos Other than that everything including the pool and the nature trail were beautiful Wish you would modify the pool hours since there is some people that can only go in at night

The resort was perfect for my families spring break trip The staff was friendly and accommodating I was pleasantly surprised by the food being very good with tons of options and shockingly fair prices

They offered so many included activities for the kids including cabanas on the beach for everyone, we never paid for anything other than food and drinks Also, the aquarium at rum fish grill is incredible!! We would definitely come again

Jayla Whitcomb

Stayed for a week at the Breckenridge building for our honeymoon that was gifted to us The room was alright A bit small and being on the 7th floor your AC runs non stop and it never really gets cold inside

The bathroom was SMALL You could barely moved around inside The door barely clears the toilet to open and there’s no fan so it kind of has a musty smell The elevators were also small so fitting a luggage cart in was fun Check in was fast and easy We had the view of the city which wasn’t bad The adult pool is ALWAYS packed, so if you’re wanting to do that get there early and claim your spot Make sure to reserve a cabana on the beach because those are nice If there is an event going on, which seems like there always is, there will be NO parking for people who stay there Once you find a spot, park and don’t move until they clear out The beachfront resort is nice If you’re wanting a bar with a DJ you’ll have to walk down the beach for that But for the most part it was a decent place to stay

B Beck

Older hotel which has been renovated We stayed in the Breckenridge building Small elevators, and few to no bellman to haul your luggage

The rooms are kind of small with older tiny bathrooms, and due to the humidity they never really dry out so they kind of smell You are paying for the beautiful St Pete beachfront property, and paying handsomely for that!

Really loved this place! I am a native Floridian who now lives in the UK and so I loved the Fla decor The staff were extremely helpful and friendly Whilst the accommodation is a little on the small side it is fully equipped and extremely clean and well kept

The beds are comfortable too The bikes are great as is the beach chairs and other equipment available The location is fabulous and the resident cat is charming! We fell in love with him! We will definitely stay again!

Maria Quagenti

This is the place where they have thought of everything you need for a relaxing vacationSmall boutique hotel in Pass-a-grille Quaint & quiet neighborhood, 1 block to Gulf/beach, walking to restaurants & shops, clean, beautiful property & grounds, room #8 has lots of windows, bright & airy, can see a peek at the Gulf from the room, good AC, ceiling fan, kitchen area, fridge, everything needed, hairdryer

Property has a small pool & a great outdoor grill area, lots of beach chairs & toys to borrow, bicycles were in pretty good condition, parking, nice neighborhood to bike around, a couple of kayaks to borrow tooBut the mattress was so so uncomfortable! If it is replaced then true perfection The room is a good size but the bathroom is tiny with no elbow room Good for shorties like meStaff was on site during the day & helpful & friendlyLoved so much and would definitely return here often if the mattress is changed

Salon Kink

I loved this place from the moment we arrived! I went with two friends for a girls weekend we all stayed in one king room with an expandable chair We could’ve used a little more space but we were fine! Bathroom is extremely small but the 3 of us made due

Loved the outdoor kitchen and actually made dinner there 2 out of the 4 nights we stayed I have been trying to get back there since my trip last October with my husband! We are finally booked for our anniversary in September and I cannot wait for him to see how adorable this place is! If you want a big luxurious hotel this is not the place but if you want a quaint, clean, quiet retreat with everything you need to relax and enjoy with friends or family, THIS IS THE PLACE for you!

This hotel is fun, funky, and cool! Rooms are basic but stylish and immaculately clean Lots of great hang out space to meet other guests and staff is friendly and helpful Unbelievable location– easy walking distance or quick Uber to world-class attractions, local restaurants, and shopping

The Tap Room restaurant in The Avalon’s sister property next door has great food and is open early and late for sit down, quick bites, or something from the bar Would absolutely recommend staying here Only suggestion to improve the experience: an in room mini fridge would be really nice and our room could have used a second lamp

Darrin Brooks

What a nice place to stay if you are visiting St Pete the staff welcomed warmly and the room was small but very clean and just what you need

It is an older building that has all charm and a good location to spend time being a tourist in St PeteI would absolutely stay here again when we visit the area They offer wine in the afternoon and they have this great outside porch to just relax and enjoy your wine and spend a few moments in peace

Kenneth Borden

Picture perfect! My husband took me to The Saint for my birthday and it was a fabulous time Our room was clean, smelled great, and looked exactly like the pictures The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and moisturizer

There were 2 water bottles in the fridge They gave us 2 bottles of sparkling wine when we checked in and left a birthday card on our door We spent the afternoon enjoying the breeze and delicious drinks under a cabana by the pool Jenna was super helpful and got us into their restaurant 82 Degrees for dinner The food was great and the atmosphere was fun with live music playing in the background! The beach is only a short walk away and it’s beautiful We took some great pictures and made memories Our regret is that we only stayed 1 night We will definitely be back!

We booked 3 rooms in this property and it was without a doubt the favorite hotel of our road-trip On arrival, we were welcomed by Eddy, who gave us a clear and professional explanation on what the hotel has to offerAll the rooms are spacious and were modern and clean

This was the only hotel we’ve visited since the start of the pandemic in which housekeeping proactively asked if we needed cleaning of our rooms The service was outstanding, free water during our stay and a free sparkling wine on arrival, a lovely location and great food at the restaurant We will definitely recommend this hotel and come again!

Jacquelyn Stasolla

My boyfriend and I booked three nights at the Saint Hotel while visiting St Pete for a wedding What a fantastic choice!! The first night, we realized we had accidentally booked one of the smaller rooms that was conjoined with another room

When we expressed this to the concierge, our room was switched and accommodations were made free of charge This hotel has an awesome restaurant attached that we ate at for dinner, and also has a beautiful and fun outdoor space with a pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, cabanas, corn hole, and plenty of space to hang and enjoy the outside Champagne, water, and espresso provided with our room made the experience even better The room was clean, and decorated beautifully This hotel is unique with lots of character, and the service is unbeatable To top it off, they provide you with free chairs to use on the beach Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a fun stay in St Pete Definitely will stay here again next time we are in the area Jenna, whom we spoke to about the room switch, was absolutely wonderful, accommodating and kind!

Last minute stop for the night with the kiddos Jennifer at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Her customer service is top notch! I haven’t felt this taken care of in a long time She knows everything about this cute gem and will ensure you’re taken care of! We’re super excited to put in our breakfast order and have it brought to our room in the morning! Our room is very clean and the price was good for the area

No complaints I would stay here again on our next adventure Especially if Jennifer is still here!!

D Saykaly

We entered the lobby the smell is horrible! The floors are uneven and covered with carpet The AC leaked on the carpet huge wet spot! Throughout the years the re-painting and remodeling that has been done is subpar I thought it would be cool because it was historical when we got there we realized we had made a huge mistake! The staff was nice! The pool was fantastic! Don’t get a corner room near the intersection or you will not get a good nights rest! Single paned windows

Lastly we really enjoyed watching the drug deals at the Shell gas stationed across the street! At night nobody buys gas they park at the pump Wait for the kid to show up on the bicycle after that cars take off! It was a great source of entertainment Definitely will not be back! Breakfast was a joke!

alekak vega

This is an Old historic hotel, so take it for what it is and appreciate it The rooms are spacious and cozy The staff is so accommodating and on point

The place is well taken care of It is a pet friendly place and I must say it does not smell like dog in the premises In the morning the coffee ran out, and the staff was quick to run out with a small pot while the big pot was brewing so no one had to wait They really care about the property and take pride Housekeeping left extra towels and toiletries folded so cute on the bed on our 2nd day,and I appreciate these details Breakfast delivered to the room was a special treat!!! Simple and tasty!!! I can go on and on

Right from the start, you can tell that they are customer focused! That means a lot these days There’s an old world charm to this place that you don’t get in the corporate hotels The hardwood floors and the vintage decor/large nostalgic murals & canvas prints Bring you back in time

They give out free water bottles to start, then anytime you want them The pub/taproom best foods in Saint Pete, and we tried a lot! It’s an excellent place to stay if you want to walk to some of the best little restaurants or down to the pier The bathroom in our king room was definitely smaller than I would hope for since we stayed for five nights And the view of the parking lot wasn’t that great Wish we could’ve had a balcony room, but those booked too fast The other positives made up for any negatives The outdoor pool, bar & staff were the best! Although it was only in the 70s most of our stay, we always took advantage of the sun, lounge chairs, cabanas, drinks/food and the music at the pool! Very cozy feel even though you’re downtown:) Will definitely be back!!

thomas patterson

Stayed here with the family a few nights Great place in downtown Very close and walkable to the pier, and many other things

The pool was nice I would have liked to take a water bottle to the pool deck for me and my daughter but I guess that isn’t allowed, which i suppose i understand I wouldn’t want bunch of rowdy folks sneaking liquor in either The room was nice and the staff was very helpful

Sandy Foster

I love this place! All of the staff – from front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance

were exceptionally helpful and kind This is a historic hotel, so yes, the rooms are a bit small and dated, but that’s part of the experience If you don’t want that experience, go to the Marriott The hotel is clean and well maintained The pool area is a gem in the middle of the city Hotel is easy walking distance to cafes, museums, waterfront, etc The food and service in the restaurant were great Outside dining in long, covered porch is lovely, albeit, somewhat noisy with street traffic, but again, it’s in the middle of the city

Recently remodeled, the hotel was everything we were hoping it would be, and we had a great experience I would have given it 5 stars except the bathrooms are beyond small, and being 6’4″ my shoulders were touching the glass door and the wall in the shower at the same time, and the hand shower attachment didn’t work Everything else was top notch and perfect for us celebrating our 34 year anniversary of the day I met my wife, Valentines day

Oh yeah, the elevator system was strange, not a big deal, just ahead of its time, my jury is still out on that one, so not a plus or minus 🙂

The staff was friendly and helpful but the cleaning staff need to be fired Every surface starting from the elevator door, tiled floors to the furniture in the rooms have not been wiped in a long time I had to wipe down all the furniture in my room due to the visible finger prints ,dirt and dust

The bed linens appeared clean The rugs were filthy The rooms and furniture are visibly dated and the hotel has an “old” smell to it I would not stay here again We paid $180/night including taxes Not exactly cheap for this level of hotel The breakfast was also not great Pretty bland

The was by far the filthiest place I’ve ever stayed Well

I didn’t stay I left!!! I will NEVER go v to this hotel again I had an asthma attack when I walked in the room The cart was filthy, so filthy i didn’t want to put my clothes on it The outside looked like it never been cleaned ever It STUNK BADLY!!! Then the front desk person had the nerve to charge me for the room even though i couldn’t breathe in this nasty place

I stayed at this hotel before heading to Miami for a cruise, and all I can say is that it’s not really up to par with some other hotels within the regionOne positive aspect of the hotel is that the staff members are quite friendly; especially one of whom who just so happens to be an Atlanta Braves fan (Go Braves!!) Another great aspect of the hotel was its coffee

It didn’t as bad as I thought typical hotel coffee would The rooms themselves also looked quite innocent and clean, including the carpetThe main negatives that I have about the hotel just so happens to be within the bathroom and bed In my room, the bed sheets looked somewhat wrinkled and only had half pillows available The worst of the negative aspects took place in the bathroom, where I found small black hairs (some long hairs, too) inside the bathtub (“Bwaaa!” [Hank Hill])!Overall, this was not my ideal stay at a hotel in Florida; and I had better experiences in my past, especially at a hotel in Kennesaw, GeorgiaTo the staff members who DO see this review, I’m sorry if this sounded a bit harsh, but there are some things that you need to improve on

Wonderful resort for our vacation! Chris at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and friendly The whole staff was very polite and courteous I was pleasantly surprised that every staff member we encountered offered a warm greeting and a smile! Great location, perfect sugar sand beach! The building isn’t new by any means but it’s been remodeled recently enough to appear modern

Clean rooms amazing amenities and access to multiple other resorts each with there own bars, restaurants and unique amenities

Wonderful resort! I’ve stayed here a few times already and it never disappoints Our suite was clean and spacious Beautiful sunset views from the suites! Food at the restaurant and drinks at the bar were great

A bit pricey but overall expected at resorts I love how it’s only a few steps away from Tradewinds, which you have access to and can enjoy the amenities there as well Overall, I love this resort and I’ll always be a returning customer!

(Girls Trip) We checked-in and was given the incorrect room and the lady at the front desk (I won’t say her name) was very nonchalant about the situation even though we showed her our invoice We went through 3 rooms before they got it right The guy who took our luggage to the room was non-responsive to us even though we tipped him $10

We were told that the late check-out fee was $20 a hour after 12 and then told $40 dollars an hour after 11 The manager tried to avoid us at times But after having to go through a bunch of no nonsense conversations we were given the correct room and was not charged anything for the extended check-out time The rooms were supposed to be renovated, but I could not tell I would like to say that a worker by the name of Victor was very very polite to us and showed us a lot of the amenities that were around We will not go to the resort again It was a few other things that went on, that I will not get into on the review (I believe we were being racially profiled) Overall the resort was nice, but the customer service can be much better I gave 2 stars because of the poor customer service,

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any resort This website will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in the area

I’ve been coming here for years If you stay for a few nights you will love it I’m sure!Clean rooms, nice furniture, comfy bed with pillows and chair, amenities were great (the fridge had a small freezer area inside), asked for extra shampoo and conditioner and the staff happily obliged, staff was friendly and helpful All in all, great! The ONLY small negative is that the bed was a tiny bit squeaky, but it wasn’t too bad honestly Would definitely stay again!

This was a nice hotel Beds were comfortable, not as clean as I would like but it was good for a night The people working at the check in desk were slow, and to make it longer they were chatting up other customers

One thing that surprised me was they had no complementary coffee or breakfast Like every Holiday Inn has free breakfast We were close to the airport I almost thought the plane flew up and took us away!!😂😂 Decent stay!! ( please note rooms are very dated)

Location is amazing Right off the beach and a few shorts blocks to historic 8th Street We had a late flight coming in and a late flight leaving

The staff was really good about making sure we were able to get into our hotel room at 2:00 am Our flight out was at 7pm and staff let us keep our luggage there The room had low ceilings and smelled a little damp That said, the location and service were great!

Renee

We stayed 2 nightsit was clean and so cozy! Yes the ceilings on the ground floor are really low but that just adds to the coziness! It’s updated and has everything you need

We bought steaks and grilled them on the grill they have dinner was much better than any restaurant The front desk people are friendly, helpful and very accommodating Nobody bothers you and housekeeping came and offered the vacuum and sweepthey were also amazing and the hot tub is awesomeit’s open all the time so you can get in and soak the day away great for stiff muscles after shelling for 12 plus hours! I loved this place so much I’m going back alone to spend the weekend while my other half is traveling for workit’s safe and you feel secure The beach is a minute across the streetthere’s no condos or touristy places anywhere near you They have free bikes to usebut if you can bring your owndo itI was not able to find one of theirs that I could comfortably ridebringing my own this time! I hate to give out a secret but I have toothis place is amazing And then there is Baxter the cat who likes to visithe was such a sweet cathe was like the host he visited us and then moved on! I hope to see him again! Thank you Sabal PalmsI can barely wait to get there again this weekend!!!

The owner needs to spend more money on cleaning and maintaining this place for the price they charge They moved us the first night to another room because of poor cleanliness Hair, roaches, dirt and grime, and stains on towels and linen were present in both of the rooms we stayed in

Also, the water went out for hours and then the sink stopped working The ceiling in the bathroom is also caving in The only positive is the location You can get more for your money elsewhere in Pass-a-grille Disappointing

The staff was phenomenal! From front desk to the housekeepers to valet… they most definitely kept me coming back! The bar and the food was excellent as wellThat being said, I understand it is an older boutique hotel but if you are sensitive to sounds, this will be a bother You can hear everything above you and outside your door very easily, even as simply as someone moving around above you walking or people walking past your room

Not a lot sound of sound proofing and kept me up, it almost felt like apartment style livingHotel staff is very great but structurally, needs improvements & kept me up at night

The building is older, the elevator is slow and the rooms aren’t perfect but it’s heritage architecture, and I liked my time at The Exchange a lot, enjoying two different stays so far ~ including New Years The staff are a huge plus (front desk staff are awesome, including Latorra) and the location is great if you’re into downtown nightlife or a walk by the water I stayed with my dog Leroy and there was no stress, with lots for him and I to do nearby

The small menu has a vegan option for me (Hummus Sandwich, very good), Leroy went crazy for the baked (not fried) chicken wings and Jordan makes a mean drink at the stylish bar There’s some work to do, sure, but I’m super happy I found The Exchange; it’s reasonably priced, clean and fun, fun fun

T

My family and I had a fantastic time staying here The architecture was beautiful and the location was perfect—within walking distance to all of our events, near a lot of great restaurants, and close to the shore The staff was extremely accommodating and professional, helping us out whenever we asked, always kind and courteous

Valet was friendly, helpful, and funny I didn’t catch the name, but the two guys who rotated while we were there were wonderful
