I’ve been staying here temporarily after I relocated to the area and David who does the breakfast well he’s awesome ! It’s like being in an actual restaurant It’s kept spotless and his has a great personality and treats you like he’s known you a lifetime He really goes above and beyond for me

I have NEVER stayed in a hotel where someone really puts in so much help and kindness Hes always working to make your stay better

Trixie Mac

The hotels appearance is appealing, the staff was pleasant & helpful The area is plentiful with restaurants, shopping etcWe stayed 3 days total, booking was easy through the hotels website, FYI if you want a better rate book online it is cheaper than booking at the hotel

The hotel was very clean, although the bathroom mirror was dirty & there was popcorn butter in the microwave (not bad but it was there in a cleaned room) the only thing I could point out to housekeeping is clean the glass on the pictures they were dirty Other than that it was a very pleasant stay

Jen

I checked out of the hotel 2 days early and instead of being refunded they charged my card The manager, Sharad, tried to tell me it didn’t charge my card when it clearly did Then he told me it was an authorization charge

After letting him know I wanted a refund asap he finally done it Although it took about 20 minutes Clearly trying to rip people offEvery night I had been going down to the front desk to get towels since we were there for 5 days On the 4th night the clerk informed me that towels had to be brought down before she could give me anymore Even tho I stood right behind a women who was given towels and told to put her old towels out by the door to be picked up by the maids in the morningThe pool was dirty The bathroom floor was dirty The elevator smelled like a dog The breakfast wasn’t good Only cereal, waffles & bagels

I loved this hotel! It was super clean and the staff was friendly and helpful The hotel was so beautiful! It even had a fire pit downstairs They offered a complimentary breakfast as well

Parking was annoying because it was packed and hard to find a park Also, there was no smoking rooms Aside from that, this hotel was amazing and a good price I will definitely be staying again!!

Noah Chauvin

Excellent service! I booked a reservation through a third party vendor and they botched it Tyshion was super helpful in working with the third party to get us the correct rooms on a sold out night His patience and understanding were top notch and I thank him greatly

I’m traveling with older family and young children, glad we stayed The rooms were clean and comfortable!

Shannon Carney

Above and beyond helpful I was traveling alone for work and broke a wheel on my suitcase My husband sent me new wheels but didn’t have the right tools to replace the wheels

The front desk put me in contact with the chief engineer at the hotel and he brought his tools and replaced my wheels!! Such a life saver!! Great experience and excellent customer service at this Courtyard Highly recommend

Jennifer Melles

Made a reservation for a room for a certain room type Noted in the confirmation that I can’t change or modify the reservation after a given date On the date of check-in, I see that the hotel has modified my reservation for a room type I did not choose or agree to pay

No notification at all So, I can’t modify or cancel since it’s after the give time-frame Now it’s the date of the reservation and I have no other options Horrible customer experience let alone unethical business practices

Wow Renovations going on and the place is a wreck Yet, their still charging full rates! Front desk staff obviously don’t want to be there

Requested turnover service – wasn’t done Multiple stains in room Pool and fitness area closed due to COVID (yeah right) Breakfast closes at 9 Due to this experience, we have chosen to not stay in a holiday inn express again because we simply can’t trust the brand any longer

My stay here this last week was decent, not amazing but not horrible The positive: beds were comfortable, A/C worked well, good internet, free parking, close to the highway, great price, quiet at night The negative: the cherry air fresheners they have every 2 steps you take in the hallways smell horrible and gave me headaches

Luckily the smell didn’t waft into the room Nothing was necessarily dirty but I just didn’t feel very clean during my stay here Felt like maybe a step up from a motel but with interior entrances There is no elevator and I saw staff propping open the key card entry doors on a few occasions which made me feel less than safe The thing I disliked the most on my visit was that when checking in my room number was said out loud I thought the hospitality industry recognized at this point that this jeopardized the safely of their customers and stopped doing that, I didn’t think I would have to ask them to not do that Luckily no one else was in the lobby but it would be great practice for them to stop doing that The rooms themselves were a bit jarring because the ceilings look like an office, the wall behind the bed has a mural trying to make it feel modern, but all of the amenities were outdated I don’t know, maybe I’m just splitting hairs at this point Overall this hotel did the job for me but I wouldn’t stay again

Emily Shoup

I stayed here for a weekend for wedding and really enjoyed my stay!! The king sized bed was super comfy and the room was very clean The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful I went to the gym as well and it was super clean

Didn’t get up early enough for the breakfast so can’t judge that but would definitely stay there again! 🙂

Jaimy Shanker

This was our second stay at this hotel (once on the way to Florida and once on the way home) We arrived late and Kayla checked us in She was wonderful and so welcoming

The rooms were very clean and we had no issues with noise throughout When we came down for breakfast we met the owner who was very kind to our family We would definitely recommend stopping by at this gem (The pool is being renovated so it is currently unavailable, but that was not at all a factor in our booking)

Stayed there on a wedding trip This hotel was absolutely fabulous! The rooms we had were very nice Beds were very comfy, the rooms were spacious, the pool was exceptionally well kept

The complimentary breakfast was outstanding But the best part was the friendly and exceptionally helpful staff Special mention to Tom, Lisa, and Justin These folks know how to make you feel comfortable, and quite literally “at home”! If I’m EVER in the Charlotte area again, this hotel will be my first choice as a place to stay I cannot recommend them highly enough! Well done, folks!!!

Jillana Goodchild

Exceptional front desk service from each person I came across but ESPECIALLY Gerald Warren who made each customer feel like an old friend and a special guest He went out of his way to accommodate each person’s requests and they all had smiles on their faces when they talked with him Gerald alone is a reason to stay here, let alone the spacious rooms and super comfy beds

The mini-fridge and microwave in the room were also welcome amenities

Before I decided to book a room at this Best Western, I checked out the ratings and reviews of several other hotels near this one They were mostly in the 3_ range or lower for various reasons including cockroaches, dirty bed sheets, rank musty room odor, etc

When I walked up to the front desk at Best Western, Dana was very cordial, courteous, and professional She checked me in without a hitch and even took the time to strike up a friendly conversation, which made me feel very welcomedWhen I walked to my room, I discovered that my room door was right next to the exit door (to the stairwell) on the second floor I thought this might be a problem with noise of people coming in and out and the door slamming shut I opened the door and let it close and it was very quiet, so I was relieved that that would not be a problem When I walked into my room, it smelled fresh…there was no stale or musty odor The room was brilliant and looked like it had recently been remodeled Everything was up-to-date and sparkling clean! The heat and AC worked well, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very well put together The maid service kept my room tidy each day and refreshed the towels, etc My two night stay could not have been better!

Mila Kukacka

Nice and clean hotel, we spent only 1 night but it was very pleasant stay All new upgraded and clean, hot breakfast, shower worked wellNice, pleasant and helpful staff, When we checked out in the morning, Monique was very pleasant and cheerfulThe only thing I was not too happy about was the noise from the highway, next time we will have to ask for quiet room( that’s why only 4 stars)

Hillary Attar

Nice rooms very clean and staff were very helpful My only criticism would be that the extra blanket they brought us for the pull out couch bed was super itchy and uncomfortable, and they didn’t have any pillows available so we had to use 2 from our bed to give our kids, leaving us with 1 very flat and lumpy pillow each Still though, I would definitely stay again!

The location is perfect You are close to plenty of food, shopping etc So close you can walk to food if you want

The staff very friendly Breakfast staff helpful and kind, understanding those of us who need to get back on the roadThe rooms need work Shower had a constant drip, could be cleaned much better Entire room needs upkeep They were clean but rundown But if rooms are not upgraded soon they are going to not be worth the moneyHotel amenities are nice Common areas are clean

Terrible management- Much better accommodations in the areaThe manager, Bonnie is truly a nasty person and a poor representative of this southern hotel (her rudeness is mentioned in other reviews, and staff agree) There are MANY other nice hotels in the area (cheaper or near the same price) and I highly recommend avoiding this oneBy phone, Patrick quoted $109 for a Thurs and Fri , told me the total of $246, which I booked because it worked for my tight-ish budget

When I arrived, was told Fri was actually $159 Kind ladies at the desk attempted to correct the error but had to get the manager, who came out with an immediate bad attitude It just got uglier from there Telling her (not yelling) that she has poor customer service skills sent her over the edge Long story short- I stayed at the hotel next door and it was fantastic! It TRUly was Honestly, I am not a complainer (or a karen) This manager is miserable and best to be avoided

Bonnie Bergeron

When we first booked it she failed to tell is that the pool was not working it was dirty green chairs in it old floaties in it green algae the bathroom doors were all scratched up like a dog had scratched them all the microwave was dirty the curtains were dirty one roll of toilet paper if we wasn’t so tired from the drive we would have never stayed there Never again a big note on our list

I was very impressed I showed up with no reservation (I always do this to myself) half expecting to hear “Sorry, we’re actually booked for the whole weekend” And that’s exactly what happened

But, when I explained I just needed one night for my family due to our long trip they were able to help us Location is great: just off the highway with plenty of restaurants in the area, although there’s a great bistro in the lobby if you’re sick of driving (like me)

Holly Wheeler

Had 2 rooms 4 nights with teenage boys for a local basketball tournament I have worked in client experience industry 25 years and can easily spot individuals that capture the essence of delivering superior service Keonna was not only helpful and friendly but welcoming greeting each guest with a smile

She made sure we were well taken care of Will book here again next time we are in townClean rooms and facilities

The staff was super friendly, very polite! Nice lobby, bar abs Starbucks coffee Also on site washer and dryer

but Upon check in my card was double charged, which was addressed by the front desk clerk none the less an inconvenience Second the shower all though very big had mildew in the bottom and we killed what looked like a cockroach in the closet But due to a very busy volleyball weekend we could not change rooms Not my best room experience at a Marriot if in the area again probably would find other accommodation

I have been staying here for years If you decide to stay here you definitely will love it I’m sure!We have been several times in this hotel for my son’s soccer tournamentsThe rooms are big and cleanThe reception is always friendly and smilingThe happy hour is great too, good appetizers and drinksI would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it!

We really felt comfortable at this hotel It was tucked in a beautiful neighborhood, very put together lobby, and breakfast was enough to get us through We stayed in a king suite and that was plenty room for 3 kids and two adults

The pullout bed was doable for the kids and they offer pack and plays for littles for $10 The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is because there was a floss left on the floor, the air filter really needed to be changed, and you could hear the people upstairs at night Otherwise, I felt safe and taken care of here They also have a 5:30 snack and drink time but we didn’t get to check that out

Kathie Mcfadden

From what i understand Drury Inn&Suites all do this free breakfast not what you not even close some places that say free this breakfast was everything you could ask for hot or cold It does stop there in the evening they have a snack this isnt a snack its a full meal from soup to entreeEverything to make a meal over by 7 but if you have kids its perfect and you get 2 adult drinks per night

The gym was clean the pool inside outside a little small but great for kidsAll interactions with staff was met with a smile no matter what time Day or nightI also saw some dogs to All in All its a place to be

Here now and was supposed to be staying next weekend Canceling and will never book this location on our frequent trips to the area Found whole Oreos on the floor, candy behind pillow on chair, TV won’t turn off (had to unplug it), bathroom surfaces are sticky, shower dirty, table dirty, scratched up pans, dishes not put away, stained coffee pot

Old, dirty, unprofessional staff to top it off No manger on site Stay elsewhere!!! We are not picky travelers, and travel often, but this is not anywhere near Marriott standards! So disappointing!

Tatiana K

The front desk staff during the day was the worst I’ve ever come across Literally not even a smile upon arrival, not from anyone including the manager The food was unpalatable

The reservation system online doesn’t sync with the reservation system in this hotel I was forced to leave and go to a Hilton The only polite front office staff was the gentleman who works in the evening He’s the only reason the hotel received 2 stars

Ciara Williams

Overall the hotel is fairly new and in a good quiet area The cleanliness could be better If the shower isn’t cleaned often, it will deteriorate over time

This was my first time using the bonvoy marriott app and the keyless option took a while to update There’s an option to put in service request which can be confusing because you have to go get the items you are requesting Other than that, my stay was decent I carry shower shoes (flip flops) because hotel shower/tubs aren’t always sanitized Someone had a key to my husband’s and I room while we were sleeping I woke up because I heard them trying to get in I called down stairs and the manager apologized, and that was it

The food was GREAT however, I had to move rooms twice The first room had scratched and scrapped furniture with big chunks missing There was a noticeable hole cut in the ceiling of the shower with some weird panel situation

The walls had what looked like food and stains Just a yucky room The second room wasn’t AS BAD, but the shower is nasty with grime, rust, and parts of the rubber to keep the water in ripped up which is really a tripping hazard I will be returning to the front desk in hopes they will exchange the room and maybe the third time is a charm The beds are comfortable that’s so far the only pro I have for the room Again hopefully I will be able to exchange for a third time

Harpey Family

Great stay for our family of 4 and the dog Staff is amazing, they addressed problems we had immediately Special thank you to Taylor and Shelby for their patience and kindness

We enjoyed the pool and the gym We had a keurig coffee machine Unfortunately we couldn’t rely on the fridge as temperature was fluctuating too much and we had to throw away our food We will be back

Dajah Eubanks

This past weekend, myself and three of my good friends visited this location and began our stay for a girls weekend One of the friends from the group booked our room with the Sonesta Hotel and told us that she’d chosen a “nice” hotel Although there were in fact some “nice” aspects of our stay including the staff who were extremely friendly and the lobby which was huge and comfortable, there were also some not so nice aspects of it as well

Upon entering our hotel room, we found that there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom Also, we’d purchased drinks at the gas station nearby and of course wanted to refrigerate them overnight However, we were hesitant as the mini fridge still had someone’s drink they’d purchased from McDonalds still sitting there We were quite skeptical of sleeping in the beds as we felt that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned When we notified the people at the front desk of this negligence, they were, again, super friendly and even offered to get us another room But, there were four of us who’d overpacked and it was too much of a hassle to move all of our belongings we’d just finished unpacking We had explained to the hotel staff that it was too much of an inconvenience for us to up and move somewhere else, which they were understanding of So, we just toughed in out in the current roomEven then, no one ever offered to give us a discount or at least compensate us a day for the lack of cleanliness Some other things I noticed about the building itself (specifically the outside) is that it doesn’t look as glamorous in person as it does in the pictures In fact, the building was in desperate need of a good pressure washing And, the chairs sitting outside of several of the rooms looked as though they hadn’t been sat in in ages Also, the temperature in our room remained on 65 the entire weekend we were there Yet, the the room felt like no air was circulating at all In fact, despite how potentially dangerous it can be, we actually had to prop our door open one night because it was so hot Overall the staff made the experience a comfortable one with their kindness, I wish I’d been assured that the room had been thoroughly cleaned, especially with us still being in the middle of a pandemic Also, I wish more effort was put into making the outside of the building look more welcoming

A lot of people like to leave negative reviews, but I want to focus on what this location did right They have amazingly friendly staff who made me and my daughter feel welcome I was pleased to find out that pets are indeed allowed, which means the next time I travel I may bring my furbaby with me

The location is family friendly They have a fire pit and grills outside to cook on But if you want to dine in, they have a stove, full size refrigerator and will supply pots and pans, utensils, and seasonings The beds are so plush and comfortable, I slept soundly So grateful to get to stay at this location when I visited Rock Hill I will definitely return

The Service was very poor and the rooms were horrible Can you say Motel 6! After traveling 8 hours, I arrive to a smelly and Stinky room The toilets and the tubes were nasty

The toilet seats were yellow with the ceramic coming off of them The bottom of the tubes where horrible When you turned the shower on the pipes pushed water out and wet the whole bathroom There were rust on the walls and the smell of mildew and urine filled the hallways I arrived at 8 am and reported the condition of the room They offered to move me or come clean it I elected to move The manager asked if I could give her until noon When noon came around, I called the front desk and she said she would send someone They did not do a good job! At all! The manager was rude and disrespectful I left the hotel She never checked me in probably and she found my credit card number and charged be for a room , I never stayed at She charged my card without permission I never gave her permission to charge my card She lied and said she waited for me to come down and she did not I would not let my pet snake stay here The breakfast was horrible the pool smelled like swamp water You would have been better off sleeping in an alley

Traditionally select Marriott properties This one is a disappointment- actually it’s a dump Old, hallways smell, rooms leave a lot to be desired – small and not what I’d consider clean enough

Dishes still in the dishwasher No contact with any staff Picked as it was dog friendly Wish I’d read all the reviews before booking Choose the Hampton Inn that’s right next door – same price – and reviews are better

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Rock Hill on our way to South Carolina The hotel staff were super friendly and the rooms were very clean The air conditioning was functioning perfectly which is one of the most important things for me

It was also a very quiet hotel and had an awesome looking outdoor pool area which we didn’t use The free breakfast was pretty awesome! Tons of choices for every taste Thanks for a great stay!
