This hotel is clean and affordable Provides complementary breakfast and cocktail hour with 3 free cocktails/adult beverages and dinner!! Food at dinner is not restaurant quality but definitely adequate if you’re trying to save money The staff are so pleasant from beginning to end of the stay

The man at the front desk was friendly and funny as well as the lady serving cocktails at dinner We will stay at Drury brands again!

Ashley

We were attending a concert at the Cynthia Woods Amphitheater so the location was great The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean Breakfast and evening reception were pretty good and offered everything pictured

Ice machines were on floors 1, 4, & 6 and with only two elevators the wait was long at times but otherwise everything was great

Brittney Humphries

Hot tub wasn’t working and that was my main reasoning for booking a room The solution from the front desk was I could cancel but why would I do that if I was told “if you cancel you’ll still be charged the full price” I found dirty towels in my bathroom

The lobby area is much nicer than the actual room Honestly, it’s a let down compared to the pictures shown online The rooms are tiny and so are the bathrooms

We had a fantastic stay here! Hotel was upscale, was in a safe area, and impeccably cleanThe hotel is right on the river walk and a 5 minute walk to the mall on well maintained sidewalks Restaurant and Starbucks downstairs for convenience

Loved the little details like a makeup mirror and recycling bins in the rooms! Blackout curtains were great, and there was plenty of room to lounge

Kalysta Gutierrez

The Waterway Marriott is such a pristine and accommodating hotel! The overnight staff were so kind and helpful The amenities are abundant; I enjoyed the treadmills in the gym area a lot The single king bed rooms are SO pretty and the halls were nice and quiet through the night (I had arrived pretty late and was thoroughly pleased with this aspect)

One really awesome stand-out point was that the front desk had fliers ready at check in with so much helpful information on it, including the times that hotel renovations could be heard I highly recommend taking advantage of the mobile Marriott Bonvoy member benefits and choosing this hotel as a place to stay!

Great place to stay at while visiting The Woodlands Staff were friendly The morning breakfast and coffee were a nice thing to wake up to

The lobby had computers, lounge chairs, fresh fruit water and fruit The only thing that could improve is the room service Our beds weren’t made out of the 5 nights we stood here I’m not sure if that’s a Hyatt or Texas thing It’s minor, but every hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the beds were always made Overall, we had a great experience and would consider staying here again next time we’re in town

Rooms are not cheap But an extra $28 for valet parking is excessive Should be free

No menu in room for restaurant inside hotel Nice pool Nice room Awesome location, less than 5 minute walk to concert venue This was why we stayed here Many good eateries walking distance from hotel Will definitely stay here for next concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion

Very Outdated!! My room was very outdated and looked like it was pieced together The shower had four or five different style tile, the window thing was caulked like my 9 year old would’ve done it The carpet in the room was old and looked matted

This place is overpriced for the condition of the room One of the only benefits to staying at the Hyatt centric in the woodlands is the location The room was clean and the employees are the the best with what they have to work with

This was my first time booking a “fancy” hotel I used Booking com (they were wonderful) in early May for my husbands birthday and a concert in mid August

It was, overall, a terrible experience Since this was something I’d never done before (other than the occasional rooms from “lower class” places for hurricane evacuations and such) I read, and re-read everything I was sent I was informed of a pre-hold on my card, then the charge would be made It also says in the confirmation paperwork, that the $405, already paid, was the only thing that would be due at my arrival time, no mention of any other holds, or we would have prepared, only showing the credit card and my drivers license for security purposes We drove over 2 hours, after both my husband and I had been working all day, on a rainy night to arrive When we arrived, around 11 pm, (we had made arrangements for a later check in), we were asked for a security deposit Now, normally this wouldn’t have been a big deal, but as we had recently been through an emergency medical situation, the credit card used for booking was past its limit, and since I’d read everything to be prepared, and had been assured I’d incur no other fees upon arrival… I did not bring another credit card, and they would not accept my cash for my deposit… even though I was able to show where, in their own confirmations, I was told I’d already been charged the total amount They would not accommodate us They need to update their information Or let people know there’s a dress code, and if you “look poor” (or, in our case are “poor”) because my husband was still in his grease stained work clothes and boots, I have blue hair, was wearing pajamas and slippers and had been up since 3 am for my own job Overall, feel like this would fall under some type of false advertisement Their guidelines should be updated I won’t attempt another stay here or any Hyatt related establishments, because I feel upon walking in we were deemed “too poor” for this establishmentThey have finally agreed to a FULL refund since we had actually shown up and attempted our stay It does not make me feel better We’ve been married over 10 years and have 4 children, it’s often hard to arrange a weekend alone for ourselves, and having been as prepared as I could with the information given- I feel they absolutely ruined our vacation, and it was their fault for not having their own policies stated

This hotel is absolutely amazing It’s one of the best Marriotts I have stayed at! My dad is an Elite member, so we were able to use their breakfast area The food was absolutely amazing

They have a Starbucks coffee maker! The room we stayed in was super clean The pool area is beautiful, and it’s super cool because it’s got a little waterfall on the end that you can look over The restaurant in the hotel had amazing service, and super good food The Red Snapper tacos were amazing! Definitely a worthwhile stay! Thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

Ron Woodrich

No complaints about this hotel at all Check in process was painless, room was clean with no surprises Fitness center was much better then expected

Multiple treadmills, peloton bikes, multiple free weights, weight machines, and moreDid not try the pool but looked nice Restaurant in the hotel had a great menu and several folks I was traveling with enjoyed it

Tavia Mack

This hotel was Ah-mazing! The staff was very polite, the ambiance was delightful and the grounds itself was impeccable I really enjoyed my stay here, it was definitely worth the money Although we didn’t get the lake view from our room, it was still pleasurable to walk the grounds

The only con is that the bed wasn’t as comfortable for my back as I liked but sddi g some pillows made it better Thus is one of those hotels where what you see is what you get when viewing rooms online Great place to stay I will be back!

Loved the hotel

Good staff, great room and the breakfast was good Some of guest weren’t good A lady actually looked at me weird and asked if I worked there and she was very rude but the same morning, I heard a staff person ask a lady who was on crunches,, if she needed help putting her luggages in her car I thought it was very nice, because he wasn’t a concierge but he was super nice I will be back and I hope others will book as well It’s like taking a vacation when your really not on vacation!!

Vincent Ray

Great clean nice looking room and service, impressive! However when I woke up to get ready I quickly discovered that I had zero hot water! I let it run for 20 min in hopes it was just slow to heat up but NO! I had to shower in room temp water! Terrible and cold 🥶 I will write this place off permanently When I told the front desk the reaction told me this wasn’t the first time it’s happened

Such a miserable experience

Lesley

Overall the hotel is nice…my complaint is how our frustration has been handled We have stayed at pet friendly hotels before with no issue but this trip we are next to a large pitbull that won’t stop barking After checking in I asked the front desk and they essentially blew me off and said you are at a pet friendly hotel

No offer to move us rooms, speak with the owner of the dog to stop barking, etc When we passed the owner with the dog we could hardly get down the hall because she said the dog would jump all over us and with a 3 year old daughter that doesn’t exactly scream friendly dog At 11pm when the dog was still barking the front desk was rude and finally said they would move us – which we weren’t going to do that late Not sure why they couldn’t have offered this when we checked in Very disappointed in how they have handled our simple complaint and now sleep deprived Would not recommend

I have stayed at many Marriott hotels This particular location was worst Night clerk told me after I confirmed pool was in service

He said it was and I asked what time it would be open next am 10am ! That’s pretty late if you like to get your exercise in with swimming some laps and a great stress reliever! Come morning the pool was closed, the wifi was terrible kept disconnecting my video conference call I asked for assistance after I left my room with wifi problem The gentleman that was working around in am said after I showed him in phone was connected and then shut down I asked if there was a place with better reception or use bonvoy conference wifi, said it shouldn’t matter So I missed first 45 min of conference call until I sat by computer area and checked in conf call for 14 minutes!!!!Terrible stay here

I can’t say enough about this hotel The location is within walking distance of a restaurant strip! The view is so serene and beautiful! The Manager on Sunday was absolutely 💯 fabulous He made sure that our stay was great and willing to help anyway possible

Everyone there from the front to the resturant was fabulous The breakfast was fantastic and we also enjoyed the 2 complimentary alcoholic beverages we received at the evening reception, as well as a few light snacks The infinity pool was very nice and the rooms were extremely nice with a large bedroom, separated living area, and bathroom and we had a walk around balcony 😀 Our experience at The Embassy in Woodland for Father’s Day, was an excellent, pleasant, & serene stay! We loved it and will be back!

Perfect for a last minute staycation with my family If you book and check-in via the app like I did, still go to the front desk to get your key (you’ll need it for the parking garage) and you happy hour card The entire staff I encountered including the front desk associates , bartenders and servers were all very knowledgeable and friendly

The breakfast was delicious The drinks and appetizers at happy hour were great also I will definitely book this location again

T

Nice, clean and spacious hotel Check in was fast and easy Our room was comfortable and roomy

Everything worked as it should Water pressure is light, but I’m ok with saving water The thermostat ran very cold, but it’s Houston so I’m not going to complain Breakfast was pretty good Lots of decent options, though their eggs were a bit on the over-processed side The location is very good with groceries and restaurants nearby I reserve 5 stars for the high-end hotels, but I had a nice experience and would have no problem staying here again

The hotel is beautiful! Rooms are really nice and clean The breakfast was delicious Staff is super friendly

The only issue is where the hotel is located, during our stay our vehicle was broken into and about $1000 worth of items were stolen The hotel doesn’t have cameras which makes it a little harder to file a police report Our window was completely shattered and leather seats are now all ripped up from the glass

Faun McNeil

I stayed there for 3 nights while in town for my grandfathers funeral I had issues with my room every night The second room had same issues as well

I was told manager would reach out to me and that hasn’t happened yet I’ve called twice everyday since with no answer or response Corporate said hotel called me which I replied I will provide phone records from AT&T to show that’s not true I also have videos of issues to prove they weren’t able to provide me with the amnesties being sold and paid for I’m getting the run around and feel like I’m not important enough to help

Ryan Murry

The service was excellent From the moment we entered, the staff made my 85 year old mother and me feel like family Eric and William worked to make sure the handicapped accessible room was what we needed

Chef Jake greeted us every time we walked in through the door She set the tone for making each person feel welcome We will use this specific hotel because of the staff Well done

Anita Davis

First we got here at 3:45pm a couple days ago and the room wasn’t ready, it hadn’t been cleaned even though I had already checked in at 9 am in the app Requested a digital key which I haven’t gotten yet The manager at the front said the room wasn’t ready and that they could look for us another room, so I asked if there was one close to the other one because my kids were in the room right across from us, she said nothing close by

So I said well then I need the room I’m supposed to get cleaned Waited awhile and she said it was clean We get up here and of course it’s not clean, just has the beds made There’s no towels, and there is even food in the fridge from the guests before us Gross! So I said okay, I’ll deal with this tomorrow Today I asked for our room to be cleaned and specifically mentioned the leftover food in the fridge Get back tonight and the only thing done is the beds are made The fridge still has the food from the other guests, the floor isn’t vacuumed, no clean towels, and not a single surface has been wiped off Like they literally only made the bed And bonus there’s a huge cockroach in the bathroom on the ceiling I’m so unhappy with this room and the service, or lack thereof, we’ve received I won’t bother saying anything else to the manager, as she’s had a horrible attitude from the beginning This is not at all what you’d expect from a Hilton By far the worst hotel we’ve been to I’m not sure why the owner hasn’t done something about how bad the hotel is Like there’s plenty of bad reviews on here, I should’ve read them before we booked Disgraceful

The bar is run by Miss Avis who is FABULOUS! Francesca was also a sweetie! The bartenders Sam & Molly are so cool Come in and let them make you a drink or 2 and enjoy! A+ service all around! Not only were the rooms and property as a whole beautifully maintained, but every person I had any enter action with were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and eager to help with directions and suggestions Had a great time, wonderful dinner at the property and the breakfast buffet was bountiful and very well preparedOne thing, please put pens and paper in the rooms again

I had fraudulent charges on a credit card (not on the motel property) and after contacting the carrier, I needed to take notes to solve the issue and there was no paper or pens Very inconvenient to have to go through the process a second time in order to take notes

This is a very nice hotel with great amenities The restaurants have really good food and a wide selection The rooms are very modern and nice with lots of room to spread out

The location of the hotel is wonderful since there are multiple restaurants within walking distance For an Ambassador Elite member the staff, especially Kevin, made me feel right at home I’m definitely staying here again

Peter Hatchell

There is no barrier between the shower and the bathroom at large; consequently, showers inundate the ENTIRE bathroom with water Additionally, the lights in the rooms are annoying They are overly modern, hard to operate, and worst of all, automatically shut off WHILE YOU ARE USING THEM

This hotel is very nice but aspects of it push modernity to the point that they are wildly inconvenient to use I am so glad that I only have to deal with these things for two nights Any more would be maddeningBeds are nice Gym is nice Everything is crazy overpriced thoughOh and you cannot access the stairs? What are we supposed to do in the event of a fire? What if I don’t want to go on a crowded elevator during a pandemic? This is not conducive to good health, safety, or a pleasant hotel experience Very unpleasant I would much rather use stairs than an elevator at any given point The stairs are what knock this down from a three star to a two star review

Andrew T

Honestly, the best treatment I have ever received from a Marriott property This hotel is not just amazingly clean and modern, but every single employee I interacted with was incredible I stayed at this hotel years back when it first opened and it was wonderful then

They have not lost their touch This is rated a 4-Star hotel, but 5-Star treatment Rooms are immaculate, beautiful hotel, hallways nice and clean, bathrooms are perfect, views are amazing and the location is the best around

Room is big and very clean From check into check out everything is easy and the staff are extremely pleasant! If you have a request they will do everything they can to make sure that it is taken care of Has a great bar area with outside seating on a nice evening and I have to say that my favorite bartender pretty much of all time is Chase he is an excellent people person and dotes on his customers and makes sure that they are taken care of he has great conversation skills and knows everybody by name 😊 I highly recommended this hotel

It is my company‘s first choice when traveling for business

When we arrived in our top floor suite the room was filthy, mildew and hair all over the shower! The toilet seat was not attached to the toilet ( which was absolutely disgusting )Dirty silverware in the dishwasher and the sink!I was appalled!!!This was a HYATT!!!When I called downstairs to say we could not use the toilet and how filthy the room was, they told me they would try to get to it but there is a toilet downstairs! No one came to fix a toilet or clean the room for two days! It was absolutely disgusting! After calling downstairs at least 10 times going downstairs showing them pictures of the bathroom and telling them that I cannot use the toilet because there’s no toilet seat on there finally a manager called me and told me he would send someone up the next day Our third day in the hotel!!!He offered me a bottle of wine thinking OK yes that’s great a bottle of wine is going to take care of all of this! Absolutely disgusting!!!BTW I don’t know when the last time the pool had been cleaned but there was no way I was getting into that pool!!!

Timothy Ramer

The sound proofing in the hotel is extremely good! During check in there was some kind of sports tournament happening and I can’t tell you how loud it was in the lobby(which was directly below our room), but the clerk and myself had to raise our voices quite high to hear each other The kids stayed in the lobby for hours after I checked in After taking the elevator to the 2nd floor, it was quite and even so in our room

The fresh fruit options for breakfast were a huge plus!

Pros: swimming pool and splash pad was great to get car ride jitters out of my young kids Breakfast was good, typical hot hotel breakfast Rooms were clean and newCons: the water in the rooms tasted horrible

The smell in the swimming area water had the same smell (and I assume taste) as the water coming from the faucet in the room No other water unless you want to pay We had to leave our room at midnight to dig water bottles out of our hot carThe rooms were narrow and the bathrooms had no locks (again kids) or a good area to hang wet swimsuits up It almost seemed that their attempt to look sleek and new made them lose basic amenities that make sense

I had the pleasure of staying here while on business a few weeks back (Feb 2022) and really enjoyed my stay The staff was really friendly and the hotel was quite nice There’s a lot of restaurants in the surrounding area and a mall not too far away if that’s what you’re looking for

Give them a try if you’re in the areaAlmost forgot, one last thing, the bag that was given to me at check-in because of my status was quite nice also Nice touch!!

We are Marriot Bonvoy members, and travel extensively every year This particular hotel was fabulous- especially being more budget minded Friendly staff and an immaculate hotel with great service

Full bar, (and the most amazing bartender named Jackie! She made our stay so pleasant and made my grandson feel so special With a great pool and splash pad- you can’t go wrong staying here and kids will LOVE it! Better than some full service Marriott’s we’ve been to This will be the ONLY hotel we stay at when we come to visit our family in this area!
