The motel is conveniently located in downtown Walla Walla close to many restaurants and tasting rooms Ashleigh was very friendly and responsive via texts During our stay, the rate was quite pricey for the size and room amenities

While I love the contemporary aesthetic (and intent), the rooms lacked a proper closet, adequate clothing storage and nightstands It may be okay for a night or two, but not practical for 5 nights Also, I would recommend requesting rooms that do not back to E Rose St as the road traffic is quite audible The a/c worked well which is a necessity during summer The lobby offers complimentary coffee/tea in the morning which is nice The covered parking area was also nice to keep ourdark vehicle cool Walla Walla is a great town!

This is always the hotel of choice for my partner and I in the Walla Walla area Updated rooms, kind and considerate staff, central location, and super comfortable beds always! Some rooms are larger than others due to the previous main building being a Red Lion, but it does not compromise quality One downside in the Micro Queen rooms is there is no fridge, but honestly, when visiting I mostly only eat out as I assume most other visitors will as well since the hotel is so close to many places to eat

Pet-friendly rooms options are a plus Also generally affordable for the quality of the hotel and the areaI HIGHLY recommend The FINCH to any WW visitors, or even locals wanting a nice stay

Jonathan

We have stayed at The Finch multiple times The cleanliness and service has always been very good and staff friendly Rooms have always been comfortable and clean

My wife won’t stop raving about the bed and sheets We have also stayed at the Whitman on several occasions and although it has the historic context and is very nicely appointed, I find The Finch with nearly as good location to downtown and overall a better value

We stayed for a weekend in late July and just loved it It was a hot weekend (low 90’s) but grounds are a beautifully landscaped garden with a spring-fed creek that was shady and comfortable in the late-afternoon/evening when we needed a rest after a day of wineIn the hot weather the rooms were well air conditioned with nice linens for a good night sleep

Honestly, the room was nicer and larger than I expected from the photosBreakfasts on the deck were amazing with fresh herbs picked from the garden and the friendly Inn-kitty was always available for a head-scratch or to hang out on your lap while you’re reading a book in the Adirondack chairs by the fire So nice

We stayed at Inn at Blackberry Creek for my birthday/wine tasting weekend From the moment we pulled in, we could see all the charm this place has to offer The grounds are beautiful with several little spaces to relax

Check in was quick and easy Barb ran through the things we needed to know then we off to settle in We stayed in the Van Gough room We were so comfortable and relaxed that we ended up ordering food in so we could enjoy the space Breakfast was nice, lots of options personalized for youThe bed/ bedding/pillows are still on my mind! Very cozy for this ‘sheet snob’We would stay again!

We can’t sing enough praises for our stay at the Fat Duck Inn Tim and Kim are so friendly and welcoming They really do go above and beyond to make you feel at home

The food was absolutely delicious! Their garden is beautiful and it was a treat being able to eat breakfast out there We stayed in the Loon room and the bed was very comfortable with a nice variety of pillows There was plenty of water pressure in the shower which is a luxury compared to what we have back home! If you are on the fence between renting a hotel room downtown or staying here, just do yourself a favor and stay here It’s still walkable to downtown and you won’t regret it

My wife and I have stayed at many B&B’s before but none of them have compared to the Fat Duck Inn! Tim and Kim are awesome host! They made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived They are warm and friendly people who truly go the extra mile to make your stay with them something extra special The food is spectacular and the company even better

You will not be disappointed if you have the pleasure to stay at their Inn Five plus stars to both of them Looking forward to returning and stay with them again!

Penny and the Maxwell house created the perfect atmosphere to make you feel home, make you feel welcomed, and make you want to come back! The decor makes for the setting, a landmark which is captured the timeframe perfectly Everything from the communication, greeting, manicured landscaping and decorating adds to the unique feeling that brings you “home”We stayed in the Rose Room and it was spacious, comfortable, private, and relaxing

Of course our main focus was the incredible wine tasting of Walla Walla but we quickly realized we were also there for some incredible breakfast!!!We were lucky enough to book for spring release weekend and made connections that will last us a lifetime Hours of conversation, excellent wine, fantastic stories of parenting, schooling, family, wine, travel, and even camping ;)The house is set near the Whitman College Campus which blooms beautiful dogwoods and boasts architecture brilliance Downtown is within walking distance and offers; dinners, shopping, wines and more wines If you get lucky enough to book a room at the Maxwell House consider it a blessing and be prepared to book your next trip back as soon as you can!

Andrew Bryan

We stayed in the New York room which is located up a beautiful wooden staircase Despite our late arrival, our lovely hostess, Penny, ensured we had an easy check-in and even left us chocolate chip cookies! Our room had a separate living area that had plenty of space to lay out our luggage and our wine purchases! The bedroom was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable For breakfast, Penny cooked a wonderful home-cooked meal that usually involved a sweet and savory dish

Parking was very easy, but we usually walked the 15-20 minutes to Walla Walla Main street as it is shaded and very nice By far, the daily fresh chocolate chip cookies were the best! We cannot wait to stay again and highly recommend!

Karen Hayes

We stayed at the Inn the night of September 13, 2016 and it was a great experience Penny, the owner/host was very hospitable and prepared a delicious breakfast for us The house is lovely and historic, being built in 1904 and restored about 11 years ago by Penny and her husband

It is also well located, next to Whitman College and a few minutes walk to Main Street, downtown Walla Walla You will really enjoy staying here!!

Great place, not too far out of the town of Walla Walla We stayed in the Chicken Coop and loved it It was the first week in May 2021 so COVID rules still in place in town and on property; this was not a bother though as the grounds are spacious

The accommodations were spot on in every regard There’s a good supply of cooking equipment in the Chicken Coop, enough I was able to make a shrimp Alfredo one evening Overall the grounds are quiet and fascinating We enjoyed walking around looking at the grape vines (just sprouting leaves) and laying in the hammock down by the small stream behind and just down the hill behind the property We also attended the private wine tasting and enjoyed the company of ‘the host’ who answered all of my questions about the wine and the wine making process Admittedly I was a bit disappointed in the town of Walla Walla as I was expecting it to be a bit more upscale Don’t get me wrong, it was a pleasant place with all the bits and pieces of a regional hub/city/town, I was just expecting it to be a bit more higher end than it was TON of wine tasting rooms in town Walla Walla is an easy walking town If there was one downside to the Inn, I’d say it was that the earliest breakfast (delivered to your room) was 8:30am which is late in the day for us but this is minor

We stayed at the Inn at Abeja last week for two nights for a birthday celebration One word to describe our experience: DREAMYWe booked the Carriage House Suite, which has two bedrooms, each with a king size bed and their own private bathroom, a living room, a kitchen and an outdoor patio

It was gorgeous, well appointed, with great bath amenities, very clean and super comfortable The Inn also offered a delicious complimentary breakfast delivered to our room every morning (they catered to my dietary restrictions), outdoor games, a glass of wine upon arrival and a complimentary wine tasting of Abeja’s wineThe surroundings were gorgeous and peaceful, and the staff went above and beyond in every way (such nice people!) What else can you ask for? Would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a magical stay in Walla Walla We’ll definitely return!

Abeja provides you a world class experience with your stay Their suites and farm house are one of kind with their finishes and decor You can tell their staff loves working there by the level of service that they provide

I was fascinated by the views from anywhere on the entire property Last but not least, their wine is top notch, I love their Cab and Syrah

Just wrapped up another great stay at Blue Valley RV Park As usual the facilities were extremely clean and the staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating We were in town for a golf tournament and were allowed a very late check out for an extremely cheap amount

I see quite a few reviews complaining about the “rules” that are posted and in the contractUnfortunately some people need “rules” Those rules are why it remains to be a great place to stay while visiting Walla WallaCan’t wait to get back!

Yorkiemom4052

Very clean park with a nice lodge that has all the usual amenities However, the restrooms are unavailable due to lack of help Somewhat of a snarky sign posted saying so

The laundry room is extremely clean and all the machines worked Two dollars each for wash and dryThe speed in and out of the park is closely monitored The guy next to us got an email within a few minutes of coming back to his rig that said he was going over the posted speed He didn’t look like he was but they must watch every vehicle in and outMy biggest complaint is the sardine-style parking they have for the sites Our slide outs or awning hit the trees on both sides You park your truck or toad next to the rig, which is fine, but you’re right on top of each other There are smallish bushes or trees between sites but they do nothing to shield the neighbors We were so close to the trailer next to us we could hear them talking in their trailer Their kids were noisy until they finally went to bed around 1 amThe other issue is the location You’re right in the middle of a busy industrial – run down area Along the fence can get really bad with trucks coming and going The streets to get to the CG are horrible, some of the worst I’ve seen It seemed to be noisy up to about midnightcars revving their engines, some kind of industrial plant, just noiseIf this kind of stuff doesn’t bother you, go for it It’s close to loads of wineries, restaurants and parksReply to park: I don’t care to get into a pi$$ing match with you but I write honest reviews and include the good and not so good Based on your responses to other reviews on a couple of campground sites you might want to grow a thicker skin or utiilize some of the feedback you receive

A little spendy for 2 queens in an older motel, but was very clean and decorated cute Appliances (refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot) were rickety, but clean and working We paid 130$ for the night, but I’ve stayed in comparable places several times for 90 and under

But overall it was nice clean quiet and the front desk personell were friendly and helpful

The best I can say is that this place was fine Clean rooms, everything looks new and updated Unfortunately, the Wifi did not work while I was there for my three day stay

Also I discovered there is no way to get coffee after 9am without leaving the hotel There is no complimentary coffee so it must be purchased in their dining room which closes at 9am(sometimes earlier if they feel like it) The dining room also closes early sometimes if they feel like it so if you are hungry for dinner be certain to put your order in at least 30 minutes before the posted closing time or expect to have it made clear to you that their kitchen is closing and it is a bother for them to make you anything

Liz Carr

Staff was cordialSuite was sub par The furniture looked like it should be in an alley waiting to be picked on trash day

The bedroom was nice and bathroom was nicely appointedOrdered breakfast the next morning the staff said, “I don’t know if we have any bread” They did but the avocado toast was supposed to include an egg but it was notDisappointed

I have been on business trip in Walla Walla off and on for one month now and am likely to stay for 2 or more months I have no desire to change to any hotel closer to workMarriott in Walla Walla has great front desk staff, I pretty much have met all of them by now

They are friendly, professionally, warm and responsiveThe grilled chicken salad, the Mediterranean bowel and the meatball in the Bistro were all very good I am very comfortable here, will likely to stay for months to come

This hotel is rich with history and is elegantly dated The original architecture that has been preserved is mesmerizing! I stayed in a 1 bed king and slept well The room had nice amenities; I enjoyed the smell of the soap

The breakfast that comes with the room was impressive, I thought it was a nice touch to be able to sit in the restaurant and then have a buffet style breakfast I appreciated the free shuttle (to/from the airport) service and thought every person was very kind The location is also wonderful; easy to walk to all types of places! I also loved that they had someone playing piano, such a nice touchThey only downside to me was the lack of available plugs in the conference room; I needed to charge my laptop during my meeting

Missy Padilla Runyon

We stayed two nights in the conference wing, which is the newer section They are nicely appointed rooms, and I love what they’ve done for sustainability They have dispensers instead of individual bottles for soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion; the room coffee is local, and the coffee maker has a metal carafe; room cleaning is by request

We originally had a mobility accessible room, which had a very large bathroom and a walk-in shower I really wanted a bathtub, and they were able to make the switch for me (thanks!) It’s in the heart of Walla Walla, and within walking distance of many, many tasting rooms, cute shops, and restaurants We will def stay here again

Ursula Garcia

The Marcus Whitman has beautiful classic bones and the feeling of a grand old hotel, but it’s just a little tired in places The decor is elegant and dark, there’s a nice fireplace in the public lounge, but elaborate flower arrangements in the lounges are fake, the rooms are a bit sparse, and the amenities are lacking (no room service or working vending machines) Our very pricy “junior business suite” turned out to be a ground floor room overlooking the parking lot at the end of a long hallway containing the workout room

It was nothing special – just a bigger room with two uncomfortable armchairs The bathroom does merit a good note – wonderful towels and soaps and lotions, and the bed was comfortable enough Complimentary breakfast is a good perk, and it’s a typical decent American hotel breakfast, but nothing fresh or fancy The staff were gracious and professional, but overall I think some basic modernization of decor and amenities would make this better value for the price

Our family of four stayed in the Holiday Inn Express during the nights of Monday, Feb 7, 2022, and Tuesday, Feb 8, 2022 We were really satisfied with our stay

Upon walking into the hotel, the lobby is inviting with a nice fire place Our room was pretty standard but had a pretty large refrigerator and a comfortable bed My wife was disappointed that our bathroom didn’t have a bath tub to wash our two young children but we managed with the shower Speaking of the shower, it is spacious and you have different options with the water pressure but the way it is set up is a little awkwardThe breakfast is awesome Many different choices from pancakes to cinnamon rolls to biscuits & gravy to cereal to oatmeal to breakfast meat and so much more We used the pool and hot tub as it was a big hit with our children The gym is extremely small with just some cardio equipment and dumbbells Each night we returned to the hotel we got cookies for the whole family from the hotel front desk (you will see them laid out on the front desk but you need to ask for one)We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend the Holiday Inn Express to other travelers visiting Walla Walla

Wandering Family Adventurer

Real doors and light switches

restoring my faith that IHG knows what travelers need The room was basic but nice and cleanThe biggest advantage of this Holiday Inn Express over those I have visited recently in the Seattle area is that the bathroom doors are real doors and not rolling barn doors Also there is a real light switch instead of the automatic ones that wake everyone in the room up if anyone has to get up in the nightOverall, it was a nice place to stay, and the included hot breakfast is always a nice money saver

My newly disabled adult son stayed with his family while figuring out how to get moved into a first floor accessable apartment They paid for 2 nights On the first morning, housekeeping unlocked the door and entered without knocking, even with the do not disturb sign on the door

Hotel staff didn’t even offer an apology My son asked for a refund and they left Within minutes of me getting there to help them, they received a call accusing them of stealing pillows from the room, and their card was charged As the person transporting them, I would have seen extra pillows in my car – there were none This was a malicious charge, and this hotel should be ashamed of their actions Definitely do not recommend staying here!
