We’ve stayed at Honor Mansion several times and look forward to returning From the moment you arrive you are well taken care of and the attention to detail is amazing!! When I booked the reservation they asked for any dietary restrictions and everything they gave us was gluten free for my husband

even the afternoon crackers and nighttime cookies The breakfast both mornings was fabulous!! The grounds are lovely and there is so much to do without leaving the mansion This would be a great place for a family reunion, a wedding or a romantic get a way Everything is first class! My brother is opening a B and B in Marshall, CA and I told him he must go stay at Honor Mansion to see how it should be run!

I really cannot say enough about how amazing Honor Mansion is We had a truly spectacular time and I don’t have a single negative thing to say The staff here is truly top notch, and they made our stay really wonderful

The concierge service did most of the work in helping us to plan a wonderful week around Sonoma, and it wouldn’t have been half as good without them This place is worth every penny We’ll definitely be repeat guests in the future!

My wife and I had an AMAZINGLY enjoyable weekend from start to finish at the Honor Mansion From the moment we arrived we were immediately treated like long lost friends We were greeted with a smile and taken to our room where details to the history of the Honor Mansion were given to us with great pride

We looked out the back door to a beautiful patio with private spa The flowers, trees, pool, and room dripped with an “attention to detail” that are rare these days Fresh cookies and wine were waiting for us in the room Though we don’t drink we sure did appreciate the gesture Quiet setting and friendly staff Fresh coffee delivered to our room each morning was a nice way to wake up Breakfast was served in a pleasant room with views of the spacious yard and Koi pond Kudos to the chef! I seriously think the Eggs Benedict was the best I’ve ever had I highly recommend the Honor Mansion with absolutely no reservations what so ever

We were really excited to stay here, since it’s in such a beautiful location Unfortunately, there are plenty of other places that would be a better fit for folks Here are a few of the reasons why you shouldn’t stay here:(1) if you’re just here to stay the night – they will still charge you a $25 destination fee for a wine tasting that happens from 3 pm to 7 pm

No one told us it was happening when we booked – and we still got charged even though we checked in at 8 pm When we brought it up to the concierge after staying the night, he was incredibly rude and couldn’t take the $25 fee off(2) the map/route of the building doesn’t make sense Elevators are in random parts of the building and if you’re differently able, it’s gonna be difficult navigating the area The carpet is everywhere and hard to move luggage on(3) the key card system doesn’t work We had a room but couldn’t get to the bar, stairs, and the breakfast room through the hotel Instead we would have to walk outside to access the main lobby areas to enter – OR wait for another person to open it for you It seemed like other people of color had similar issues with their key cardsReasons why you should stay here:(1) great rooms, great atmosphere, and a small lobby bar that’s great!

S.P. Cason

Fantastic experience The front desk team did a wonderful job with the check in/check out process and always willing to help Room was clean

large and comfortable We loved the location but the freeway was a little loud when outside by the pool Food service is a little lacking on site but the quick bite by the lobby bar were pretty good and ton of local places to eat within easy walk from the hotel My only big issue would be the out dated key system Keys wouldn’t work in a lot of the outside doors and the gate on the back of the property wasn’t secure and nor was the fence that lead out to the public trailOverall really a nice property at a reasonable rate Defiantly will stay there again

I would have given 5 stars for the quality of the room and the kindness of staff However, I was charged $62 for a facility use fee which was never explained before I checked in at any time I called to ask about it and the desk clerk said he would reverse it

A week later and $34 was refunded out of the $62Lastly, I was told I shouldn’t worry about paying for the self-parking by the desk when I checked in The girl actually tossed away my exit ticket for the parking, saying I can just go through when I leave When I checked out I double checked asking again if I should keep a room key to exit with my car, but she assured me it was fine I ended up having to pay with a credit card for parking I would not have minded paying had it just been expected It was frustrating that I had to scramble at the gate to push buttons to be able to exit the lot until I paidThis would be a 5 star Hyatt if they could do away with the facilities fee (or any fee that is not explained BEFORE check in) and there should be consistent rules around parking so as not to confuse guests

No heat in the main house Space heater in room was inadequate Room temperature was likely below 60 degrees — much colder in the breakfast room

Taking a shower was like roulette, alternating between freezing and scalding Breakfast appeared as if it had been warmed — it wasn’t hot Besides the awful conditions, host and hostess seemed aloof — as if there wasn’t really a problem (even though we were the only guests in the main house) Moved us to a different property for our second night, but gave the impression they were doing us a favor

Nadine Manfredi

My stay at Camilla Inn was excellent! The Inn is very pretty and walking distance from everything in the Square Lucy greeted us when we arrived and was a wonderful host She pays attention to the smallest little details to make your stay great

It was so impressive to wake up in the morning and there was a pot of decaf coffee waiting for me with my name on it! Breakfast by the pool was terrific too The lounging by the pool during the day was so relaxing – flowers and hummingbirds everywhere The rooms are really nice too Everything was so fresh and clean The bed was comfortable with soft sheets The bathroom was a nice size too! Very happy with my stay and hope to visit again soon,

Linda Monroe

I couldn’t be happier with our stay at the Camellia Inn The property and home are absolutely lovely and everything was spotless The owners were friendly and helpful, plus wonderful snacks, wine, and a delicious breakfast were all included

The town of Healdsburg was a delight Friendly people, lovely shops and a great park with restaurants, the best ice cream and even some live music to enjoy whilst sipping adult beveragesI can’t think of anything that would have made this trip more delightful except that I wish we had stayed longer!

We have access to the timeshare, so our experience may be different than other guests Rooms were great, we got 2 bedroom with twin Plenty of room for family of 5

Very clean, big bathrooms Great service, friendly concierge Many pools and kiddy pools are great for little ones Super fun recreational area for kids Will come back again!

Angela Vine

Great place to relax and explore the area 2 pool areas, one very large with a kid pool & spa, another a little smaller if you like it more quiet, and 2 more hot tubs around the property Shuffle board, basketball, large grass area for volleyball etc

We have stayed here several times since 2014 It seemed brand new then, but this trip, although still very clean & totally comfy- It is starting to shower show some wear If I hadn’t seen it so new, I doubt I’d have that feedback But, the mattresses are pretty warn in and the carpeting could use replacing (Cleaning is no longer cutting it)Close to wineries, restaurants grocery and the oven We did a tour of some redwoods and the Bodega Bay headlands hike and all were an easy drive Also ventured into San Francisco & loved the SF science academy -WORTH IT and again easy commuteI say this every time we come here- when we look the property is often available for whenever we want to stay and that always surprises me, because it is the perfect spot

Doug Rockey

This is mostly a time share, but also rents out rooms like a hotel Rooms are basically small apartments, with kitchens, bath, living area, 1,2,or,3 bedrooms, balcony or patio Well equipped with all kitchen appliances, dishware, utensils, gas BBQ etc

Has pools, spas, tennis, basketball, and of course, a golf course next door Well maintained and clean Better than average furnishings Nice sheets and towels Will return

This hotel is fantastic I love the update retro decor The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable and loved all the pillows to sink into

1960’s Las Vegas time warp, with a dose of kitschy mixed in That being said this resort atmosphere is not for everyone, especially if you’re looking for a quiet romantic stay When we arrived, there were long lines in the lobby and I felt like I was at a convention

Turned out there were a couple of big events going on that day a memorial service at one end of the building and a loud reunion outside their huge swimming and lounges area We were told the events would end soon, but in reality the reunion party continued on through the night The best part of our stay was at the restaurant Delicious food and service was excellent Somehow it felt separate from all the craziness going on about us A huge pool surrounded by lounge chairs with maximum capacity people sitting on the chairs, as well as splashing in the pool After dinner I asked where the jacuzzi was, and a friendly staff managing towel service directed me past a large Alice in Wonderland gray chair with a flamingo painted on it Unfortunately, the jacuzzi too was at maximum capacity So we opted to head to our room There was no number on the door to our room, which was puzzling to say the least, and we ended up having to walk all the way around the resort to find our way in The room was spartan, like a monk’s cell, and a table but no chairs Bottom line is sadly, this resort was not worth the price we paid

Coco O

The room is not updated 100% They upgraded the bathroom, room partition, bedding linens The doors, wall, baseboard, and carpet were aged

The pool area is nice with 3ft-9th pool Kids enjoyed the pool a lot I waited forever for the server to take my order, but never came Other servers came by and told me a few times that my server will come She never did I ended up going to the bar and ordered coffee to go instead of having a full breakfast No pool towels between 9pm-10pm Pool closes at 10pm so I asked for some towels only to never come Walked back to my room soak and dripping ☹️ I don’t think I’ll be back

Stayed here while taking a trip through the area The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to welcome me the minute I walked in the door The grounds are very well kept, quiet, and peaceful

Rooms were clean and quaint, the mattress was pretty firm though which is the only negative thing I have to say Everything else was great!

Hayden S. Burton-Miller

Rarely do the actual accommodations fair better than the pictures on the website The staff was polite, funny and extremely gracious A really nice continental breakfast, major ups on the breakfast sammies

The pool was small but clean and not over chlorinated Right across the street from a decent little bar, deli and a pot shop My only gripe to the owner is I would invest in some better, quality bed frames, the ones in our cabin were super noisey and kind of unstable

Very mixed stay at this Marriott property Room was nice and overall staff was helpful However, two exchanges left me feeling quite under-valued during this stay

First issue: when calling the front desk to ask for room slippers and a hot water kettle, I was told the hotel doesn’t have these items The front desk then said, “I guess you are used to a full service hotel” For the price and brand, I had assumed this was a full service hotelNote: the front desk did go out and get a kettle (thank you!), but the comment was quite strange and disconcertingSecond issue: I called down to housekeeping to request the room be turned Front desk again responded, “Did you already request a room turn? We have over 100 rooms to do today, so I’ll see if we can get to yours” Again, this is a minimum level of service expected at a hotel Not sure why they thought saying this was okayNote: when we left the room, the housekeeper in the hallway asked very politely if we wanted service That was the kind of experience I was expecting!Otherwise, the cafe was quite nice and location was very convenient I would stay again, but I hope the staff is a little better in communicating

I’ve been coming to California for work a lot more recently, and I decided to try Marriott Mainly because they had a hot tub People at the front desk were so friendly, laid-back, and it was comforting after an eight hour travel day

The burger in the bistro was one of the best burgers I have ever had, and I am a hell of a cook and I’m very impressedI cant wait to stay again!

I stayed in the Santa Nella house for a week during a family vacation, and I’m not sure a better option exists! The wide open kitchen, bathrooms in every bedroom, hot tub, and peaceful sounds of the creek flowing in the front yard brought everything together perfectly The gracious hosts were very accommodating and easy to work withMy group also appreciated all the board games, books, and streaming options for some down time after seeing all the beautiful landscapes throughout the area

Also, a quick 20 minute walk from Korbel Vineyards! If you’re heading to wine country, look no further!

Breakfast is tasty and proprietors glad to prepare gluten free mealsRooms have a strong antique feeling Bathrooms are clean, although a bit small I found the water pressure below average but serviceableThe neighborhood is quite beautiful and outside views are lovelyI had to hunt around the bedroom for outlets for portable devices and the bed while very nice and elevated could have been more firm, but others might enjoy the feelingThe B&B is very close to a number of lovely vineyards and restaurants in the Russian River Valley

Once you get the past the initial Bates Motel vibe (😵‍💫) —-you will realize that why this truly is one of the best kept secret in HealdsburgNothing fancy but it ticks all the necessary boxes——super clean, excellent host (Wanda❤️) and a 10-15 min walk to downtown❤️Dog friendly (no pet fee like other hotels in the area!)🌺highly recommend

Ted Murray

This is our second visit to this little motel and I regret to say I was really disappointed this time We had a great visit a few years ago but for $125 plus tax we should have stayed next door at the chain motel The room we had was TIRED and showing all of its age with no charm

Internet was very dodgy at best You can easily get on the network and the signal is strong but no data through put for some reason We are here in February and the place is empty to it cannot be because the bandwidth is being overloadedI love the owner; she is so friendly and accommodating it almost hurts to write this negative review but facts are facts and I suggest you come here with the expectation that you will be staying in a lovely property with tired accommodationAlso, be aware the hotel is at the very southern end of the main drag and quite close to the highway It is a solid 15 minute walk to the town’s main square so wear comfy shoesthe owner is an avid gardener and the grounds are lovely in the summer which is when we were here last Understandably the winter months will have the grounds looking less luscious which is a real shameWe really hope the owner decides to do some upgrades and fixes the internet Pretty basic stuff really

Kristina Dee

Nice, clean, dog-friendly motel run by a family Hidden gem in Healdsburg especially when you consider the price of other accommodations It’s walking distance (about 10 mins) to the plaza, though with the construction on the main street, it’s a little odd to navigate right now

Continental breakfast is complimentary including some of the most delicious scones ever! The lady who runs this place is very kind, personable and will give out recommendations for restaurants etc if you need them

We loved our stay at boon hotel + spa It’s a little oasis surrounded by nature, and you instantly feel relaxed the moment you walk into the property Great vibes at the pool with the fire pit and hot tub

Our favorite part of the whole stay was Jay, the hotel manager He’s so fun to chat with and made us feel at home We can’t wait to come back!

Stephen

We recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding and had a wonderful time The staff are more than impressive, and I want to shout out to Jay espcially for the exceptionally warm welcome I want to call out the hot tub, as I think this is the best hot tub I have ever used! I most have used it 6 times over the course of the weekend and felt like a Roman Emperor – it is hot hot hot, and I loved it

Great room, really comfy bed, exceptional staff and a great atmosphere Loved my stay here!

Christina Shaw

The hotel experience is 5 stars for us Great location, quiet and clean The self serve honor bar area is a great asset as well to grab a drink or make yourself a cocktail

Something to be aware of is the phone reception is essentially non-existent for ATT (at least in room 12) and while there is WiFi it does not always allow for a call or message to come through Great for the relaxation part but a bit stressful if you need to be reached Can’t forget to mention how great the bikes are for a quick ride to Armstrong Redwoods or into town for dinner or a cocktail! The spa experience was sadly a 3 Many reviews mention how wonderful this experience was so we bit the bullet on price and indulged A little story as to why our rating…one of us did the 90 min body + sole and the other just 90 min therapeutic We got there at our appt time and had to fill out the release forms which takes a few minutes and then by the time we are on the table and the massage therapists are in, it’s close to 1:10 There was some music issues my therapist had to address that he stepped away from the table to deal with which is not a big deal but post massage, now fully dressed and walking out, when I looked at the time it was 2:30 on the dot After spending almost $500 on the two massages I would have hoped to have actually gotten my 90 minutes and not just 75 min The quality of the massage was better for one of us than the other but we both agreed, while it was relaxing, it did not live up to the hype

I’m between 3 and 4 stars here On the upside, it’s a very pretty place, our room was beautiful and having a balcony was a real plus The premises are nice with firepits and outdoor games

Touches like coffee service in the morning and aperitif in the evening are very niceThe downside is that the hotel doesn’t feel well equipped to live up to the hospitality you’d expect from a 4 star hotel and the price For example, we were made to feel bad about asking for a piece of toast at breakfast because the kitchen was busy I had tried to pre-book a massage, going back and forth with online concierge over the course of 2 days only to be told at the end that the room was too small for a massage table On their own, one little thing like this doesn’t matter but it does add up when hospitality falls short several times A lot of the issues we saw seemed to have an easy fix: hire more staff to ensure hospitality can be a priority

We had a lovely stay last weekend The property was glamorous and intimate No kids around was a big plus, and we enjoyed seeing people with their dogs

I loved that there were only a handful of other guests and I felt very covid safe The staff is spectacular We stayed in a spacious Armstrong King room and especially enjoyed the fireplace, jacuzzi tub big enough for 2, and the sumptuous breakfasts included in the room rate Picking a few pears to take home was the cherry on top of a delightful weekend getaway

The Stavrand is like a little villa tucked away among the redwoods Spacious grounds that felt very private and cheery staff It was in the perfect location for us, as we were interested in exploring the Sonoma coast and wine tasting in Russian River / Sebastopol

We started our visit by checking out happy hour, where whiskey and chocolate had been set out I had selected the Armstrong room #33, and it was overall wonderful It could’ve had more seating, but I loved the gas fireplace, the bed was firm and very comfortable, and I appreciated that there was a mini fridge (we traveled with a baby) Note that this room is on the second story, and there are no elevators (which makes sense, but didn’t dawn on me when I booked it)When we first arrived, the dinner menu looked enticing — there was wagyu steak and farfalle, but I had already booked reservations elsewhere Note it is $125/pp We hope to be back perhaps to try itDuring mornings, we headed to their dining hall— it is gorgeous I love the black paneling, rustic lights, and small touches of decor It felt COVID-safe as they spaced us out throughout the space Food-wise, I was a little disappointed since the Stavrand is held out to be a 4-star hotel — if it was 3-star, I’d say the food was fine My lox toast was burnt along the edges, and one of the days, we did not get a meal selection and were served yogurt bowls, with hard-boiled eggs, and croissants as the pastry of choice that morning Having read there is a resident pastry chef, the croissants were nothing to write home about Anyhow, we were always pleasantly placed by a fireplace and enjoyed eating our breakfast soaking in the quietness of the space My husband was also surprised with dark chocolate that we were told was made in-house, so that was a food highlightOverall, we had a positive experience and would recommend the Stavrand to our friends Despite some mixed feelings, it was generally a pleasant stay and we had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday

Very well-kept property Digital check in and digital key were super convenient and easy on the Hilton app Room was clean and bed was super comfortable

Was nervous to hear children next door when I arrived to my room but didn’t heat a peep all night Walls are not paper thin here, as are common in most hotels Breakfast had a decent variety Safe area, brightly lit parking lot Would definitely stay again

Very clean and comfortable hotel with current renovations and nice pool area We paid a ton because of limited availability this weekend in the whole area but we were still happy anyway Really saved driving time for us and the quick complimentary breakfast is a lifesaver with kids

Really appreciate having protein options at breakfast like scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs

St Pauls

Check in was friendly and efficient Room was clean with plentiful towels The A/C unit has a wood frame around it for added space to set your stuff on

The bathroom is large with nice counter-top space and a shelf above the level of the wash basin, so you can easily keep your accessory bags out of any splashed water Bed was comfortable and overnight sleeping was quiet Plenty of charging ports at bedside and on the desk This facility is well worth the money we paid (compared to another Hilton property we stayed at when coming home and traveling thru the Bay Area) Bell carts readily available when we checked in and checked out The breakfast was fabulous however, the only reason I give this property 4 stars is one of the maintenance/housekeeping workers ate her breakfast in the breakfast room along with the patrons and several of the employees came thru the breakfast room to ask this maintenance/housekeeping staff person questions Seemed a bit unprofessional Entry and exit to the freeway was a breeze–nice location

Rooms very clean, great location Asked for a king bed got a queen No wine tasting, no heated pool (which is why we choose the place) as stated on website

We were told to expensive to heat Was not going to write this review until I saw that my credit card overcharged The owner is a sweet guy who does not understand what customer service is It’s a shame because this place could be a goldmine with the right management

Carrie Marcus

Beautiful grounds, rooms have been newly renovated Pool was dirty Got locked out of our room once and couldn’t reach anyone at the front desk to let us back in

There is a black phone by the front desk and they say to call if you have an emergency if no one is there, but no one answered Luckily found a housekeeping staff member who took pity on us Didn’t experience the spa Overall it was good Would probably have rated it a four if we didn’t get locked our without being able to reach anyone

Mary

Experience with this motel was terrible They canceled my booking because I confirmed that I was bringing my service dog They stated to me that the room I was staying in wasn’t dog friendly even though there was nothing in their policy or on the booking that the room I booked wasn’t dog-friendly

When they tried to up charge me $200 to stay in a dog-friendly room, and I pushed back, they then layered on ‘well its actually a 3 night minimum’ so we aren’t going to honor your bookingIn my first conversation, no one mentioned the three night stay It was clearly just a play because I wasn’t going to change rooms and pay the $200Would stay away from this shady establishment

We didn’t stay at the resort, we just ate at the restaurant The service was excellent Staff saw us to a table without any wait

They took our order very quickly Our drinks and food were delivered expeditiously My beer (Racer 5 IPA from Bear Republic Brewing) was delicious The appetizer was delicious, although I don’t remember what they called it All in all, a pleasant way to spend an hour chatting with relatives

Boomer

The Front Room is the best bar/lounge in West County with a special nod to their bartenders Friendly, courteous, professional and they make the best espresso martini you’ve ever had And the fact they have Blind Pig on tap is just a bonus

Did I mention Happy Hour 5 days a week? I would give it a higher rating, but I’m limited to only 5

B ST

So beautiful, everyone is really niceThe restaurant is B U L L S H I TPortions are small, price is through the roof, frozen “country potatoes”

Their restaurant business model is simpleSpend all the money to make it look as nice as possible, charge based on how fancy it looks, and give college kids a microwave to cookSo horrible, but nice people and beautiful location

I’ve lived in the area for almost three years now and only recently found out about the Highland Dell from a neighbor The location is really rustic, and the place is beautiful I’ve never stayed the night so I don’t know what the lodging is like, but I do know that the food is delicious

On Tuesdays, there is a locals special, chef’s choice three course meal for about $20 per person after tax The first time Boyfriend and I went was the week of St Patrick’s Day They served split pea soup, corned beef and cabbage, and I don’t remember what the dessert was because I gobbled it up so fast The second time we went, they served a blue cheese salad, pork schnitzel, and an apple crisp dessert Every time we’ve gone, we’ve been very impressed by the meal and the servers We will definitely keep coming back on Tuesday nights We have yet to try anything on the regular menu

Arielle Ellis

Okay listen I came here totally randomly for work It was the best deal in the area for Tuesday night

This hotel is rad I feel like I’m in a fairytale world out here The rooms are definitely smaller and simpler, but it’s so cute I don’t care You’re right on the river The dinner is decent and you can sit on the patio Special 3 course deal on Tuesdays (lucky me) 11/10 came here on accident 10/10 would come here on purposeEdit: I forgot to add the reception dogs

Clint Griffin

We came here for a weekend getaway I was not able to truly enjoy my stay since I became incredibly sick after eating at a local restaurant the following day Even though I spent most of the time sick and sleeping, I was shown so much care and concern by the lodge manager that I absolutely must give a 5 star review and give a heartfelt thank you

I look forward to going back soon
