This is a great hotel, ideal for a family stay The staff are awesome, so friendly and accommodating The lounge is ideal for a group gathering to eat or play a game, etc

The pool area is a kids dream, with two very cool twisting slides Rooms are nice with new, comfortable beds Close walking proximity to two restaurants and a grocery store

Cristie Farmer

I was super impressed with this hotel The staff were very friendly upon check-in and throughout We took our kids with the sole purpose of using the pool and waterslides

The staff got us set up right away You can use them for 2 hours at a time, but if they aren’t busy you can stay longer Really, 2 hours is plenty before needing a break We took a dinner break and came back that evening The pool is very large and the hot tub was nice ALL of us loved the water slides The hotel is in a nice location It was clean and well kept No issues with anything in our room Breakfast was great and the lady in the kitchen was very nice We will definitely be back!

Jessie Griffin

I have stayed in multiple hotels/motels, in multiple states The ladies and gentlemen at the Bermuda Run Hampton make by far the most hospitable and friendly stay I have ever had! The pool is fun, the breakfast is fantastic, but the people that made our stays what they have been, just does it for us💜 have stayed on 2 different occasions, and the second was even better than the first, which was wonderful, and why we returned!

The service is impeccable! My family had an unforeseen event at our home which resulted in us having to stay at this hotel for a few days The staff genuinely care for the guests and are very accommodating and helpful The room was CLEAN, spacious enough for our family, large refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes and utensils included, microwave, toaster, etc

The variety offered at breakfast (free) ensures there is something for everyone! My family felt very safe and comfortable here The indoor pool is clean and updated although a tad too cold Highly recommend staying here! Thank you to the amazing front desk and housekeeping staff for making a terrible situation for my family better by just being kind! 🙂

This place is AMAZING! We are currently staying here for 5 nights and I am so impressed with the hotel and its staff! It seems to be a newer hotel and it’s very clean Every single staff member we have encountered has been so pleasant and helpful and nice! They really know about customer service! We stayed at this hotel for one night, as a place to rest our heads before we continue to our destination It was very quick check in, and our room was clean and fresh The beds were comfortable, and so was the trundle bed

The layout was good, with enough power outlets to plug in whatever we needed We had absolutely zero problems with our stay, other than that the breakfast area was crowded in the morning I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a nice and clean place to stay

Linda

Room smelled like smoke, bathrooms shower had mold on the wall and shower curtainThe lady at the breakfast room was petting one of the customers dog while the dog was walking on the table and eating off of the persons plate and the breakfast lady didn’t say anything to her about the dog on the table NASTY!! The worker DID NOT wash her hands after touching the dog

NASTY!! and continued to handel the food NASTY!!I gave a generous 2 stars for the beds because they were comfortable

MARK MANCHETTE

The price was actually fair, and the front desk staff was courteousHOWEVER, the first room I was put in, the air conditioning had a major problem, as it sounded like a crop duster was landing in the room It was VERY loud, on high, medium, and low speeds! That was room 210

SO, I ask the staff for another room And they changed me to room 219…which was FAR worse, because the room was HOT! Unbearably hot! No matter how the thermostat was set, it only blew out HOT air The on duty staff tried to shake it off as it’s winter, the system is set up for heating YEAH RIGHT! I didn’t buy that BS I ASKED for another room So…Room 220! The room was QUITE COMFORTABLE! The room was cooler, the way I like it and need it, so I can sleep The system was very quiet! No crashing crop duster sounds No rip-roaring Hellish temperatures!Bed is very comfortable No noises Slept GREAT!Would I recommend this hotel? Yes I would, just be sure to test the air/heat system immediately after checking in It was very clean and very quiet, and I slept like a brick

Erin Jean

I liked that we were placed at the end of the hall The room was okay, minus the blood on the curtains and the coffee splatter on the wall I was seeing all these photos of breakfast on past reviews

I was so excited for a delicious breakfast, only to be given a bag that had water, 2 granola bars and a fruit cup However, the staff has been nice and the location was good

Vicki DeMeyer

We reserved room 220 on June 24th and there was sticky soda that had run down around the mirror, inside the lampshade and on the wall above microwave Disgusting!Went to breakfast at 8:30 (breakfast was available until 9:30) and all they had left were bran muffins and plain bagels We were informed that the “fresh fruit” was already gone? Needless to say, we didn’t eat any breakfast

Went to breakfast elsewhereAnd…the orange “juice” wasn’t real orange juice The least you could do is charge me less for the room I don’t believe your website stated continental breakfast consisted of muffins, plain bagels and “juice”

I reserved a room for my husband for two nights as a quiet getaway from a rather noisy and hectic recent home life The hotel itself was fine and my husband was comfortable in his room for the first night However, this morning, he was treated to two straight hours of constant banging as some kind of construction was happening

His sleep was disrupted and we were given no indication at all that there would be construction during his stay, so close to his room The entire point of this stay was rest and quiet, and my husband is now further from relaxed and replenished than ever When he told the front desk that this wasn’t working and would have to leave early, they told him he wouldn’t be charged the second night (the very least they could do since he wasn’t taking up the room space) I feel like I completely wasted my money and my poor husband is so frustrated that he won’t even consider trying this again somewhere else I’m disappointed in Marriott for not letting us know that there would be construction, which would have been fine if he wasn’t at the hotel during the day, but he was and we would have made other arrangements if we had known To be clear, the construction is not the issue at all Construction HAS to happen to maintain the space But they should have told us when I spoke to them directly before my husband arrived so we could have factored that into our plans I feel like it was just a blatant money grab and this is the second major disappointment I’ve had with a Marriott in the last two years, which is upsetting as I have been a long time customer

Janine Crawford

I was here on business and only needed 3 night On the last day I lost my car keys They help me look everywhere for them

They finally found them for me in the bistro They saved me just over $1400!! The staff also wished me luck on my interview and sincerely congratulated when I got the job By staff, I mean everyone from the front desk, house keeping and maintenence!! If I could give them 10 stars I definitely would!!

D. T.

I am a Marriott Ambassador (Lifetime Titanium Elite) level guest and I highly recommend that you stay away from this hotel I stay in Marriott Hotels over 200 nights a year and understand that things do not always go as planned but I can report that it is not very often that I say the hotel management DOES NOT care about the guests Over 2000 nights in Marriott hotels around the world and this is in the top 5 worst stays I have experienced

Overall decent value for price Inspect bed linens and towels, during my stay I was able to see dirt on the curtains, bed linen and towels In addition, the air conditioner was set on 69 upon arrival in the room however its so humid that it’s not cold

Turning the air down to 63 was a small relief There wew signs downstairs regarding eating in rooms but none inside the room itself that I noticed The gym was great Breakfast was really enjoyable because I love the automated pancake maker in addition to the choices that were staples and those they switched out daily

Teron Sloan

Rooms were nice The only complaint I have is bathroom supplies need to be replaced daily and I was staying two days but I had to get my keys reactivated on the second day So I had to make a extra trip to the front desk when I was ready to get to my room

The breakfast was very good and the attendant Swift was SUPPER He kept everything filled and fresh I really do not know how he was doing everything he was doing Best Western plus needs to do whatever they can to keep him

My experience with this hotel was horrible I thought it was convenient to choose this hotel because I have a family member across the street at Forsyth Medical Center Upon entering this hotel, I noticed the cleaning was poor and the up keeping of the hotel is poor

The elevators looked disgusting Looks like the elevator doors needed shining and the floor mopped The carpets looked disgusting There is a big red stain in the hallway of the second floor When I entered my room, the sink was dirty There was soap residue on the faucets It wasn’t even shiny The toilet paper in the bathroom was used The bath tub drain was broken and the tub was brown A few minutes after that, roaches were seen in the room The roaches were coming from the clock and dresser I was disgusted I contacted the lady at the front desk, and she let me switch rooms I could barely sleep because I thought I would see more roaches Another thing I thought was very inconvenient was that I had to go to the third floor just to get ice I was wondering how come ice can’t be on the floor you’re on? Also, the walls are so thin, it’s like I could hear EVERYTHING I do not plan ever coming to this hotel again

I’ve had better from Marriott The room was a basic hotel room but decorating was nice The noise from the traffic on the street below was terrible! It was so loud I couldn’t sleep the 2 nights I was here

You could hear it over and above the air conditioner! I was so glad to get home just so I could get some sleep! The front desk staff was not helpful at all, not compared to other Marriott hotels I stay at The kiosk for drinks/food options for guests was minimal compared to other Marriott hotels Alittle disappointed The only bright spot was the breakfast in the morning Great choices Next time I will look into my options àlittle closer Picture was the view from my window

I recommend this location August 4, 2022 We just completed a 6 night stay at the The Fairfield Inn & Suites at 125 S Main st, Winston-Salem, NC The property is nice

My stay was overall enjoyable Breakfast is included which held a decent selection of items of which I chose Chobani Yogurts, Bananas, Oranges, Bagel and a mix of Pumpkin Seeds, Walnuts and Craisins fro The Oatmeal area There were other options like scones, prepared microwaveable sandwiches and boiled eggs weekdays The weekends added Waffles you put in the Waffle iron and prepare yourself Coffee and ice water is readily available all the time 99% of the staff I encountered was welcoming, professional and polite excepting one person I shall not name, she literally grimaced at me whenever we spoke or was in my presence while I was speaking The room has a mini-fridge, microwave and Television with free HBO and Showtime Our room had two double beds The people I had most interactions with that were great are Tanya and Tom – Front Desk, Corey – Bartender, Virginia and Theresa – Housekeeping And of course Omar, I’m not sure what department There is a beautiful fireplace outside The check-in area has clearance of 12 feet and 5 inches Free parking for guests across the street in a garage

R C

The room had a very strong smell of urineThe beds were very old, lumpy and sank in 6-7 inches making it hard to roll overThe carpet was old and filthy, turning our feet black

There was mold in the corners of the tub/showerI made my reservations using points So when I checked in they said they would be holding a $20 incidental fee When I left the hotel the next morning I asked for a receipt which showed no charges Two days later there were five charges, a $10, $20, $20, $20 and a $40 I called the hotel and spoke with a manager Laura S, probably the rudest person I have ever come across She talked over me, argued, raised her voice and got belligerent and hung up on me Such a terrible experience, so bad they I am canceling my Bonvoy membership and card

We hosted our wedding at the Brookstown Inn and had the best experience we could have asked for Loved working with the staff every step of the way Everything was such a smooth process from the “big picture” stuff to the small details and timeline considerations I wouldn’t have been able to think of on my own

Every staff member was delightful to work with We received so many compliments from our wedding guests on the venue and the overall hospitality The rooms are spacious and beautiful and it felt like we were staying in a little resort 10/10 would recommend a wedding at the Brookstown or just a stay

JM Sanderson

I was looking for a weekend getaway for the family and this was just the place What a beautiful historic structure! They really put a lot of attention into making the place welcoming and presentable Parking is free

It is an old structure so there will be some oddities here and there, and some things may not work as well as they should If you bring this up with the management they will address it for you The location is wonderful Highly recommended!

Debra Hollifield

My two grown daughters and I stayed here for a family get away in July 2022 I loved the living history at the hotel So much to learn about the mill and the people who worked in it

Staying here was a very unique experience The hotel is beautiful and charming We chose to stay on 4th floor where the rooms are more authentic to the cotton mill Did we have a paranormal experience? I woke in middle of the night to a noise In the wall I have no explanation for The outside patio is lovely Brookstown Inn has a ballroom too that’s makes this an excellent place for wedding and events The free homemade hot breakfast bar was a huge treat I also loved the hotel has plenty of free parking This hotel could be a romantic getaway, girls night out or family trip All the employees were very friendly and helpful If you get bored with the same old cookie cutter chain hotels Brookstown Inn is for you

Great location, but no parking They have valet until midnight The hotel is very nice

The bar when you walk in is gorgeous! The room we had, had a view The hotel vibe is eclectic with vibrant colors The room was clean, hard wood floors, on the smaller size for the price but it was very nice We didn’t have a dog, but they are a dog friendly hotel, with treats in the lobby for your fur babies I would stay there again

Maria Holbein

Eclectic vibe with natural wood accents against polished concrete and muted blues, golds, and greens Housekeeping seemed to be inconsistent in service but very pleasant to meet in the hall The fifth floor had some good views and they are Super Dog Friendly! Our guy enjoyed burying the treat the valet gave him in his bed in our room

Since I wanted pampering the Housekeeping service threw me but I could have called the hotel to rectify itSir Winston Restaurant is on site, tasty but small portion, nice presentation and pricier than my everyday but that was the point of trying it I may try staying there again and I would definitely eat their oysters roc-a-fella again

Emily Langford

Amanda was the sweetest!!!She was super accommodating and remembered us by name! It’s hard to find quality hotels that allow dogs and this was far beyond our expectationsZaire was also very sweet and easy to talk toThanks for the hospitality! We will be visiting again! ❤️

We stayed in two different Comfort hotels on our trip This was the second one and it, by far, exceeded my expectations The room was beautifully cleaned, had a beautiful nice sized bathroom, and the double queen room had a sofa, desk, and plenty of lighting options

The windows were up/down style which was nice to be able to get fresh air, unlike some hotels without that option The beds were comfortable as well! Highly recommend this hotel and if I need to stay in the area again, I would definitely pick this hotel again

Shelly Baker

After reading many reviews of hotels in the area I was worried Thankfully this hotel was exceptionally clean Check in was quick and the woman at the desk was very friendly

The lobby and parking lot were nicely maintained Our children used the outdoor pool it was clean and offered a lot of seating We stayed in the two king bed suite it had a lot of space and was super clean and nicely decorated Our room was 318 at the end of the hall it had blackout curtains and was very quiet all night The continental breakfast was basic cereal, oatmeal, muffins, eggs, sausage gravy biscuits and fruit The coffee was surprisingly good The breakfast area was stocked and kept clean by a very friendly woman with a smile on her face Overall my family and I would definitely stay here again

Mary Martin

We arrived a little after 8pm after having a terrible experience with the hotel that shares a parking lot with this oneThe front desk clerk was friendly and courteous Checkin process was quick and hassle free; the rooms were clean and tidy

The double queen room we were in also had a pull out sofa which was perfect for our familyThis hotel was very inexpensive compared to some other higher end hotels in the area, but they pack a lot of quality into their prices Has everything you need for a quick weekend trip to visit friends or family and get some shopping done close by at the mallGreat value, will stay here again next time we are in town

Room was not clean on arrival Was in town on business for the High Point Furniture show A layer of dust was on both headboards in my room

The room also had less than pleasing odor The bathroom had hair on the towels, wall, and on the facetI told management and they quickly sent someone to “clean” The headboards were dusted and I asked for the sheets to be changed as dust would have gotten on the sheets (I have no idea if this was actually done) A light once over was not done on the bathroom The towels with hair on it, still there The hair on the wall, the same as when I took the photo The only thing handled was the hair on the facetHow did management respond you might ask I was given free breakfast for myself and a colleague for my first morning I’m not trying to pull a fast one and get freebies but unacceptable On the second morning I tested the front desk agent who originally sent up cleaning staff to see if he’d do the right thing and give me complimentary breakfast Not surprisingly he gave me this dazed look and said no it was only one comp I said OK and ordered It’s not about the money it’s about the principal of thingsSILVER LINING: I want to make it known and clear that the wait staff was absolutely delightful and kind I wish the rest of my stay was as good as the two women who waited on me Coffee was always full and they were as sweet as can beI will say this truthfully I NEVER write reviews and I am disgusted with myself for doing so but I can’t believe how poor the service was First time for everything right

Giving 2 because many of the staffers very nice; other wise would be one! Hotel is in a good location so that helps but… my room was very dusty, beds sinking in the middle This entire hotel is dirty

Because we didn’t request housekeeping ( we checked in after a 9 hour road trip) they refused to clean the room I notified Noah, what when entering our room, it was very dusty, his response was , “well did you call down to the front desk?”, no apology, nothing I said no we were quite tired after a 9 hour drive and needed to eat and restBecause we didn’t ask for the room to be cleaned the first day we got there it wasn’t clean until the second day and he said well you should’ve seen the stickers on the mirrors and I said I didn’t see the stickers and at check in somebody should’ve said to us would you like the room cleaned for your stay; so unless you’re gonna give me a discount on the nights that I don’t request the cleaning then guess what you should be cleaning my room; it should not be on the customer it should be on the hotelIn the elevator there’s a big sign about how they want to make it right for you if it’s not right I can tell you with 100% certainty know what made no effort to make it right and just actually blamed us for not complaining that the room was dusty and not asking for it to be cleanedThe next time I have to be in the area I will stay at the Marriott this hotel needs to be updated the elevators are dirty they have a funny smell to them everything here looks dated and ugly the pool water looks gross I would never go in that pool and the coffee in the front is always old and coldIn addition it says it’s a smoke free hotel but in the areas outside the hotel the seating area is provided by the hotel is all cigarette butts all over the floor and everywhere nobody bothers to clean it up the furniture outside is really disgustingI cant be bothered to tell the manager, after reading the other reviews, clearly, noone here caresThis should be a motel 6 not a hilton

Stephanie Landry

No Spa!? Staff was pleasant, common areas and rooms were clean Apparently the hot tub was taken out of service TWO YEARS ago but no one has bothered to update their site listing The front desk clerk snickered when I asked

I chose this over other properties BECAUSE OF the spa (for my Mom to relax in) knowing this wouldn’t be a hotel full of kids Very disappointed and will NOT be returning

The room had a great setup for my laptop and work needs, the Refridge came in handy for snacks and leftovers and the bathroom was spacious Best of all, the staff was so accommodating- far more so than other places I’ve stayed in recent months And when I made the huge mistake of leaving my wallet on the counter after I paid my bill, Landon reached out to me and Kirby quickly Fed Exed it to me They virtually saved my life because everything, including cash and my vaccination card, was in it What a relief to receive it intact today at my home in Massachusetts! Thank you for a wonderful stay Next time I’ll keep a tighter grip on my wallet

We were greeted by staff with a very nice surprise The room was clean and everything worked efficiently The only down side was the breakfast

By the previous reviews I was expecting a wonderful breakfast Please don’t get me wrong, it was nice clean and accommodating but just not what I was lead to believe We ended up going out for breakfast It would have been fine for me but my hubby is very picky and needed more selection

Matt Meany, General Manager and the entire staff were excellent – friendly, helpful and professional We thoroughly enjoyed our stay The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and tidy as was the rest of the hotel

I booked our stay in advance for the Paul McCartney show at Truist Field – which was walking distance (a bonus!) – without a hitch Considering the influx of guests, Mr Meany – not a blue one : ) and the staff handled the situation with aplomb Thank you all for a pleasant stay

The staff here were wonderful, very very helpful with all of our issues and were accommodating to all of them in a very timely manner My only complaint is the cleanliness of the hotel overall I went in my first room and not only was it not finished being cleaned, but it also was a room that had been evidently smoked in

They then moved us to another room which was also clearly smoked in and it was not cleaned and the bathroom had toothpaste stains on the mirror and mold in the shower The third room they moved us to was better, though it still wasn’t good There was dry (what appeared to be) vomit on the wall next to the bed and there were dead bugs in the bathroom Then the second night the restaurant in the hotel had music playing so loud that the base of it could be heard outside of the hotel in our car and in the hallways The overall cleanliness of the hotel was lackluster Definitely would not stay again

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel Upon arrival I noticed that our bed was dirty I called for linen

The gentleman immediately came and bought us clean sheets I changed the bed and put the kids down I also noticed that our bathroom sink had an extreme amount of hair in it Since I’m not one that usually complains I rinsed the hair down the sink No problem Next morning I get ready to bathe our kids and noticed the tub was brown and had hair in it I took a hand towel and soap and began to clean Needless to say, it was pretty evident at that point that our room hadn’t been cleaned My husband was like let’s just go and take baths at home Upon check out I expressed our concerns with front desk and he apologized and stated he would have Darryl contact me first thing in the morning Well Darryl never contacted me and he is the GM for that hotel I reached out to Darryl and expressed my concerns Darryl apologized and stated he would call me right back because he needed to review our account to see how to return our points that we used for a free night stay Darryl has yet to return my phone call and he has been ignoring Marriott Customer service After almost a month of going back and forth with Marriott we were finally refunded our free nightThe pictures that I have included is of our bed I didn’t get pics of the tub

The cons of this hotel is customer service: the rooftop bar was closed and we were told to leave when we went up to look at the view, there was a bartender downstairs that was helpful and nice but complained a lot about their life and didn’t know how to make a Manhattan and didn’t have cherries which is kinda a staple so we shelled out 12 bucks for mix drinks The night time staff told us they didn’t have milk which we needed for our infants, the morning coffee attendant was more than helpful and told us they should have given us a glass of it they just don’t sell bottles – also a tip for management get milk and some other more basic items in your little convenience shop No room cleaning which I expected due to Covid but they never offered towels and I had to ask three times before we got them and we had to take our own trash out

The hotel room was nice, the couch in the room surprisingly comfortable and had android tv which was a plus The patio with the fire pit also nice, and was totally fenced in so we didn’t have to worry about our kiddos wandering around All in all it’s a wonderful location and comfy rooms but leaves much to be desired

The hotel was great I selected the hotel because of the price and close proximity to everything I needed access too while conducting business in Winston-Salem When I first walked into the lobby of the hotel the ambiance was so nice the decor was absolutely beautiful

I couldn’t wait to take pics The hotel was very clean I am that person that always travel with cleaning supplies and this was even before COVID I spray and wipe down everything and when I tell you there wasn’t a piece of hair on the bathroom floor, the bed linen was clean not a spot I threw away a lot of pretty clean Lysol wipes I liked it so much I booked a room for the following week to attend private services for my loved one The experience was absolutely great, the staff was wonderful I have no complaints I would definitely use this establishment on my next visit Thank you to the GM and the front desk clerks for everything

I had a great experience at Double Tree hotel The staff was friendly, prompt, and courteous They have a business center with Mac and a PC for all types of guests

They have bar and a well stocked snack cabinet The room was very clean, modern, and comfortable I liked that the heat was on before I entered the room I only stayed the night and it was just for a place to sleep so i didn’t explore much I would definitely recommend and try to stay there again if I’m in the area So far it’s been the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Winston Salem and I saw that they were pet friendly too!

Did note some stains in bathroom tub area but overall other areas of the room were clean This hotel had lots of amenities We were too busy with a wedding we were attending to take advantage of the bar and dining as well as the pool area

I noted the bar closed at nine pm on a Friday night I thought that was a bit early However, the room was very comfortable The doors are extremely heavy though/hard to push and hold open Front desk staff and cleaning staff were all friendly I did enjoy the digital key and using the app to check in and out

3/19/22 Stayed at the silo suite for my wife’s birthday Beautiful estate and room Didn’t go five stars and it will sound super petty

But for the lofty price, one of the few additional amenities, of which their afternoon cookies were included, was MIA We arrived at 4 to check in and: one you have to go get them yourself Two they were apparently out of the batter to make them the day we stayed Like how do you offer something at 600+$ a night and then not have it Otherwise it was a cool place to stay for a night Again If you have two things to offer at that rate Put it in the room for your customers on arrival Also, free water bottle or two would have been nice Simple things Paid less and got more at Fearrington house

Excellent experience and amazing staff – Neil and Katie were so helpful and friendly! They graciously accommodated our requests, and directed us to some quality food and entertainment options in the area We stayed in the Piedmont, which felt very 1980s cocaine-fueled yuppie yacht paradise as far as decor went, but the bed was very comfortable We loved the patio/deck and wondered what was up with the large rock structure – we were told it’s supposed to be a waterfall but there was no water! All in all, we’d definitely come back, though we’d probably select a different room next time
