Words could almost not describe the experience that I had while staying at The Cochrane House Luxury Historic Inn Everything was first class, from the time that I walked in the door The house was immaculate, the layout of the house was well thought out and must I mention the art…
thats being showcased? The art gives you a Motown vibe and it lets you know for certain that you are chilling not only in luxury, but in the Motor City The 2 owners (sisters) took the time to give us a complete history of the Inn, which left our entire group motivated and proud to see young women embrace the spirit of what makes our city so GREAT! We will definitely be back

The morning and after noon staff were amazing Polite, professional and very nice! The major problem was the common area’s we’re filthy! It looks like the carpet throughout is the original Even if it gets vacuumed you won’t see a difference
It’s just unkempt I never saw a cleaning crew and I was there except for appointment most of the time I’m comparing this to Comfort Inn’s I’ve stayed at in other states Time to UPDATE

We stayed here March 5-7 2022 It was very busy Lots of children running around throughout the halls being loud and unsupervised
It see to definitely be a Family oriented hotel It very large similar to a convention centerThe hotel was not very clean inside or outside It was well lit in the parking areas Not a place I’d want to return to

We recently stayed several nights at the hotel and did not have a good experience The toilet in the room didn’t work the second night We had noticed it was sluggish the first evening but thought it was a conservative water toilet
We reported it to the gal at the desk who was rude even though we were not She didn’t provide a plunger or contact a manager Also refused to give us a different room After three conversations my husband and father ran to get a plunger after 9:00 in the evening and fix it themselves When we did check out the following day, we also had to report a tub that would no longer drain after taking a shower Upon leaving, we could tell the room had not been cleaned for some time, evidenced by heavy dust and debris on the floor I actually dusted the dresser as I assume they are still struggling with staffing They did reimburse us for the plunger but nothing more The gal that checked us out was much nicer than the check in girl I would not recommend staying here at all

Arrived for a family reunion on Friday after a 12 hr drive The staff here really make this place worth the money!! The stains on the furniture was a little off putting The breakfast didn’t sit well on my stomach
It was nice that they let the pool stay open a little later for the children My concern was hearing the screaming and yelling could be heard in my room two floors up

The customer service was great, the valet treated the car great, the bellhops were polite and informative, and the food/bar service workers got stuff quickly I like ordering drinks from the machines, it’s really convenient! I had a fun time gambling, and even won a little bit of money This is also the best place ever for people watching, I love interacting with all different kinds of folks here
Hoping to come back when I can spend more time in the casino

Just checked out from a one night stay here and really enjoyed it We were in town for wrestling state finals and just needed a place to sleep for the night with 2 young kids The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable
We asked for a pack and play and they delivered it to our room right away The service at the front desk and during breakfast was great The breakfast was in the restaurant attached to the hotel and had spacious seating with good options to choose from Was just missing a meat option like bacon or sausage Overall a cute, quaint, family friendly hotel!
Therri Payne
Stayed 3 nights here while in town for my mom’s birthday The room was spacious and clean for the most part with a nice flat screen TV The dark blue trim around the bottom of the bed had “mystery” stains on it
The king size bed was very comfy with flat pillows (FYI If you like a firm pillow, I suggest you bring your own) The air conditioner made a loud shrieking noise each time it cycled off The bathroom was clean and stocked with lots of towels One of the metal plates that secured the shower curtain to the wall fell off We reported it to the front desk who had maintenance come up to fix it right away while we were out but they left the tub dirty We paid a little extra to have a microwave and mini fridge in the room which was nice for drinks and snacks The carpet in the elevator needed to be cleaned There was a dirty, mildew smell each time we had to use it A few new baggage carts would be nice The ones available for use were wobbly and hard to steerWe didn’t get to try the on-site restaurant or use the pool The location of this hotel is great with easy access to the highways, restaurants, and shopping close byThe housekeeping staff was friendly It was pretty quiet at night with the occasional people talking in the hallway Checking in and out was fairly quick and simple Even with the few issues we had during our visit we would stay at this hotel again I found the rate of the room to be reasonable for the amenities If you have AAA you can get a discount
Bianca Breaux
This hotel reminded me of traveling as kid It’s fairly dated but there’s nostalgia in it Staff were friendly and helpful
The pool area is big with plenty of seating The hot tub is a decent size also but there’s not a ton of seating in itThe rooms were fine The pillows small The doors have doorbells so that’s funThe ‘oversized’ queen room gives you a nice amount of space compared to the normal queen We gave the kids the oversized room so they had space to spread outLocation was great for hanging out in the Dearborn area and getting to downtown Detroit was quickWill be staying again when traveling as a family4/5 because of the cigarette smell It’s just part of the building

This will be my go-to lodging for Little Caesar’s Arena events! Beautiful inn – main floor, hallways, and guest rooms The rooms are spacious and well-appointed The entire mansion has the feel of luxury lodging
The staff is friendly and helpful The location cannot be beat Just one block from LCA Parking (paid) is right out the back door There was no water glass in the room, but this was probably an oversight Communication could have been better, but the overall experience made up for this
Jonathan Fuhrman
Stayed here because it was the closest hotel to Little Caesars Arena for the Dua Lipa concert Not only was it convenient but as somebody who loves antiques and vintage homes, it was over the top fabulous to stay in In addition to the spacious room and bathroom, there are three seating areas on the main floor that guests can use
Just a very lovely place with great staff Highly recommend!
Thais Ziroldo
I had the worst experience with this place and unfortunately the staff was also not accepting of our complaints as other reviews mentioned The room was disgustingly dirty Dirt everywhere, stains on the sheets, ripped towels and comforter, the blinds of the main window which faces the street wouldn’t shut and there was nothing we could do about it, room temperature cannot be adjusted and it was insanely hot in the rooms, etc
the list goes on and on… there was so much dirt everywhere, pills from previous guests on the couch, rose petals on the floor, etc I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I had such a horrible experience that I literally checked out early after not even 24hrs there and checked in somewhere else I have no idea how this place has good reviews or is considered 4 star hotel Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever been in my life

Giving a five star despite what happened in the very beginning My stay was booked as a king but arrived to a queen double bed Verified my booking and sure enough it was a king booked
I called down to request a change and got a different room but the bed sheet had not been changed Bed fixed accordingly but not sure if the crew have been advised that the room had been checked out So I spoke with Brittany (night auditor)and she took care of everything without hesitation So grateful for her My stay was great And my room matched my Hilton status Thanks again Brittany…Walking distance to great food and drink 499 a night for parking if you want to park inside the lot with a gate entrance People parked next to it for free Up to you I had been out on company time-so they cover it Also be sure to ask for a pet free room as this hotel is pet friendly

Pleasant stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton We booked this hotel to visit Henry Ford Museum and a few more places nearby We were so glad we booked this hotel; it was very close to all the popular restaurants and attractions
Parking (you pay for it per day btw) was very convenient instead of a road-side parking Staff always had a smile on their face and never say no to our requests They kept everything clean and sanitized Overall, a clean and comfy place for you/your families to stayComplimentary Breakfast was a bit boring with very limited choices You would stop enjoying after a day (or two) I am sure kids would love it
Andrew G
So clear that whomever is at top management treats the employees well because every single employee from the front desk to the housekeeping crew had positive attitudes, were genuinely helpful and exhibited great work ethic Shout out to Rhonda – you stock and run a breakfast buffet like no other —shout out to Alexis, thank you for your special touches, recommendations and professional and warm demeanor

I must admit I was concerned if to cancel my reservation reading the bad reviews some 2 months ago, just before my tripHowever, I found this hotel very good, fulfilling all my expectations of a one night stayFree parking, decent and clean property, even cleaner and better than some other HIEs I’ve been
Spacious room with good bedding Average American breakfastPool was fair size, very good for a morning swim All that for a reasonable price of around 100$ for our family of 3
Antoinette Denson
I would never book this hotel again! Upon check in the room wasn’t properly cleaned I received a call from the General manager asking how can I make this right? After working my midnight shift I returned and extended my stay so that my children could swim Great right?! No! At 11:30a we requested clean towels to be told we can’t get any and it’ll be a long while to wait on fresh towels
I don’t understand how you charge 166-174 a night but there are no clean towels available I immediately chose to check out and take my childhood home where they can properly wash the chlorine from their bodies Never again!
Adele Carnahan
What a pleasure it was to stay here! Very welcoming from the moment you walk through the door All employees genuinely want to be there and make sure the guests have the best experience Very clean and comfortable rooms
The mattress was particularly comfortable! We came to celebrate 50th class reunion and husband’s birthday Very good location

lovely decor, Friendly staff, and clean room I enjoyed my time here and will be back soonOne complaint would be the $50 liability payment that they don’t tell you about u til you get there
Otherwise I loved my whirlpool suite
Mark David
The rooms were incredibly clean and service was friendly The pool was clean and hot tub well maintained The hotel gym has everything you’d need for a basic work out including free weights and elliptical/treadmill
The only negative marks are how small the bathroom was and that you have to request access to the pool from management and their response was extremely delayed
Andre’Ia “LilMaMaDrea87”
I’m going to need you to do better with your cleaning protocols I slept in a dirty room There was a dry washcloth hanging on the shower rod from the previous guest
Therefore my room was not thoroughly clean I wonder what else was dirty in the room? Not happy Will not stay here again Will not recommend I dont understand how you have 4 stars I see why the rate is so low per night

We reserved a block of rooms for my husband’s 50th birthday Janet Woods, Director of Sales, was phenomenal! She helped me ever step of the way with my planning needs She was always quick to respond, courteous, and professional
I’d definitely recommend this propertyI gave four stars instead of five due to the kids hockey tournament that stayed at the property They were loud but no reflection of how the property hosted my group
Melissa Galindo
Other than them trying to charge our training class a deposit which was already paid for by our company! But overall their rooms were extravagant and their breakfast was really goodI also enjoyed their swimming pool and laundry, weight roomsAll were great!👍Only thing is housekeeping never went to service our rooms for our 2 nights stay which I found strange

With my career, I stay at many hotels for a month or longer As of last March, with everything going on, it became hard to expect exceptional service With my stay so far, I have been very satisfied
I did not expect to be this pleased with my stay here at the townplace suites They are doing a wonderful job with a clean hotel in these less then perfect times

This is a very nice and clean hotel We enjoyed using the pool except when 3 kids were left alone in the pool and the mother was laying in the sauna until I said something to her Other than that we had a pleasant stay
The rooms were nice and clean We loved the jacuzzi tubs The lady at the front was nice and helpful The breakfast was a little bit of a let down though, not too much to choose from

You could tell it was recently constructed, though, because of some stickers on the shelving hardware We weren’t a fan of the rainfall shower, partly because of the style but also because it somehow leaked all over the bathroom floorThe in-room jacuzzi definitely made up for it; it was definitely the highlight of the room The TV swiveled out so we could watch from the living room space or the bed The little zen garden was a nice touch tooThe nightstand drawer started to fall apart when we opened it, but we didn’t use it anyway So there were a few small kinks they still need to smooth out, but overall we were extremely satisfied and would love to come again some day

I was visiting some friends who are members of the Detroit Club and they insisted on going there for dinner and drinks What a wonderful suggestion and a pleasant surprise We were a large and diverse group so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the staff went out of their way to accomodate us
The building is magnificent and the atmosphere was very relaxing and inviting After a lovely meal, we finished the evening off with cigars at the the cigar bar I highly recommend The Detroit Club to anyone passing through or living in Detroit!

We LOVED staying here The gentleman at the check-in counter went above and beyond We checked in late after a concert
Local restaurants were closed He had us order from a restaurant that stayed open late, he drove to the restaurant and picked up our order and brought it back to the hotel for us (at 1 am!) Then he extended a late check-out for us The historic atmosphere was gorgeous Hope to be able to stay here again!

I have stayed in worse places, but this was the worst Marriott property I have every stayed atWe paid way to much for what we received I would not pay more than $100 a night where I paid more than twice that
I would not recommend this place to a friend The smell of weed was strong, inside the hallways and outside the buildings Neighbor had two dogs that barked The room was not clean Feet were sticking to the floor, upholstery was ripped, carpet and beds were stained The hotel is located very close to run down and abandoned buildings and a good amount of sirens which did not make us feel safe Me, wife and kids did not get much sleep that night The positives: The people we interacted with were polite and nice We checked for bugs and did not find any actively crawling around and my car was still there in the morning Marriott customer service said there was nothing they could do to help us with our situation which was disappointing

I truly enjoyed my stay inside the room but there was a Marijuana smell in the hallwayHowever, my room was clean but I did have to ask for different sheets they looked dusty not dirtyIt is a mini stove in the room so I did cook
Overall it was a 3 Location was ideal for traffic

The good: we had a 2 bdrm suite (which are rare)! Full kitchen (fridge, stove, coffee maker dishwasher and microwave) living area, separate sink area from shower and hot breakfast with variety including meat and eggs Off the highway
Room was clean, bed comfortable Great service Priced well! The bad: location is off highway but surrounding neighborhood is sketchy (not the place to go jogging) Gas stations close-by are a def no (off-brand, panhandling, etc)The ugly: Bring your own food/snacks The Walmart nearby is disgusting Pool is small and outside Its was the fourth weekend so the pool crowd was a bit rowdy and crowded Ppl smoke outside and near the pool (fyi Cannabis is legal)Overall a good stay for 2 days to visit family

I booked a room here for 2 nights as a small getaway for my birthday It was so quiet and just
amazing! If you’re a mom + wife, y’all know what I mean! The hotel and room were clean, the bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable, water pressure was okay, fridge/microwave & TV all worked well (back was missing on the remote 🤷🏽♀️) I was impressed with the breakfast because a lot of places do not have very many non-pork options on their menu They had a fancy waffle station too! There was a variety of breakfast options to choose from and the juice options were good too; it wasn’t that weak and nasty, cheap stuff some places offer Made me wish I didn’t sleep in my first morning and got it two days in a row!Checking in and out from within the app and having a digital key are great bonuses I didn’t have too much interaction with the staff, except for when my room needed to be switched (cord for the blinds was broken in my first room, so I asked to be moved to a different room) Her vibe was so-so, nothing exceptional All in all, I would definitely stay here again and I recommend this location I hope to check out the pool and other amenities next time!

Good location close to The Henry Ford Museum and highway Nice, clean hotel Friendly helpful staff
Good breakfast and the woman who oversaw the breakfast was very helpful, asking everyone if they were finding what they needed and always busy cleaning and stocking Room was nice except for poor lighting Light on ceiling when you first walk in didn’t work Light on desk only pointed down and low, not helpful for tasks or adding more Light to room Fridge very small and didn’t hold much or taller bottlesOverall it was a nice stay and I would recommend it
Brandi J
Bed was comfy Front desk gentleman was very funny and great to interact with upon check-in Did thank me for being a honors member and provided me with the member check in snack bag
When my digital key did not work I had the privilege of working with another women who apologized and thank me again for being a Hilton honors member and worked very quickly to resolve the issueThe room on other hand, needs a major update and repair I couldn’t find the remote and upon looking under the bed found the remote, along with a water bottle cap, price tag for new clothing, among a few other items of garbage You could tell the ceiling had been replaced from water damage The seams were splitting and you could see brown water marks on the ceiling It was a big square right above the TV (room 423) The bath tub could use a deep cleaning as it had a few black marks (maybe mold) along the seams The bed was super comfortable, the AC was great, my room faced the train and it was very sound proofed from hearing the train I never heard itA few things to improve on and this would have been a great stay

Awesome place to stay Staff is so friendly and helpful Clean rooms, lobby, gym area, breakfast area
Loved the kitchen with a full size refrigerator and everything you need I brought a electric fry pan and we had all of our meals in the room Saved us a lot on eating out Was worth every penny Will seek out Home2 locations for further stays
Jewel Beji
I really enjoyed the front desk staff, breakfast, my room and the amenities! However, being on night shift, my colleagues and I had a big issue with housekeeping banging the doors in the mornings when they’re cleaning and going in and out of the rooms using a door stopper (not all of them do that though) And on my day off, I was waiting for housekeeping to do my room and one of them reported that I refused cleaning when I didn’t even have a DND sign on my door or anything The rest of features of the hotel really saved my rating and outlook
Overall, thank you all for being so welcoming to our team and going above and beyond for us!
