The room was nice, I had a few issues one I did report to the front desk that it sounded like a stampede above me I was on the 3rd floor I asked if I could be moved & I was told that they were sold out The bed was beyond HARD and the pillows were SOFT no firmness at all

The bathroom door did not stay open it would slam very loudly The shower was not clean it had a bug in it I stay at Holiday Inn often, I’m a rewards member, I was hoping to be compensated with points since I couldn’t move to another room after I notified the front desk of the noise The location was great, away from the loud interstate Also I asked Hope if they had a cup for used pens and she said No I found that to be weird with the pandemic going on, why not separate the used pens from the clean pens Nothing was there to sanitize anything

Shannon Healy

Staying at the Holiday inn and suites is like staying at a home away from home The staff is very professional and Courteous That are always smiling and greeting you

Mrs Emily is very warm and welcoming when you walk in But what I really like is she knows a lot of her guests by name It makes you feel like a part of a huge extended family They go above and beyond the call of duty at this hotel

Aaron Williams

Stayed there one night Don’t be alarmed by the area (it’s right off the main highway and you’ll pass some motels on your way in) The hotel sits way back off the road down a long drive and the parking lot is very well lit

The rooms were very clean and nice The front desk and cleaning staff were superb Didn’t try the bar or restaurant, but they looked nice as well I would definitely stay there again

Booked this places because pictures look very nice but when we arrived in the room the floors were sticky and there was hair on the sink I did not stay there and was told I wouldn’t be charged I have been calling and sending emails for past 2 weeks to get my card refunded

Was left on hold for 20 minutes and when I called back 2 times after they didn’t even answer the phone I booked through bookingcom and would not recommend this hotel to anyone

T McB

The hotel is clean and quiet The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming and the free continental breakfast consisted of a waffle station (with all the toppings), eggs, pastries, cereals, coffee and juices The room was clean and had a barn door that covered either the closet or the bathroom, a refrigerator and in-room thermostat for AC / heat

the linens were clean and soft, and many USB ports to charge items Check out is at 11am, we asked for an additional hour and it was granted no questions asked

Tyrone Biggums

Stayed there earlier in the weekDesk staff and most of the house keepers were super friendly They get 5 stars

However this one snotty lady (Tasha I think?) was a big part of the 1 star Asked her a question and was completely ignored Also the GM Dawn needs talked to as well as getting an exterminator to get them rats out of that nest on her head Rooms and most of the staff are great, just a few bad apples

This is one of the best La Quinta properties that I have stayed in the last 10 years since I have been using the hotel chain The property seems new or recently refurbished Every corner of the property is shining

The staff and manager are extremely hands on and responsive to any issues or concerns Totally worth the tariff And the cherry on top is the excellent breakfast that they offer It is not just a coffee/ juice / cereal breakfast but many more options I hope the staff keeps up their attention to detail and the management supports them

Martina Magoya

The young lady who helped me on Saturday (2/26/22 around 4pm) afternoon was excellent She was under staff had a lot of check ins The hotel was over book

she had to go n clean room Front desk was busy I feel the morning people didn’t make sure that rooms was ready for afternoon Was given a room and it look like the people decided to stay another night for free Morning workers drop the ball for the afternoon shift N left her alone to deal with the mishaps

KRP

My husband and I traveled from Texas to the La Quinta Inn Broussard We got in around 9:30 pm

When we got to our room, the light was on, the bed was unmade, and there were towels on the bathroom floor When we went back downstairs, the nice lady at the front desk was apologetic and told us she’d call her general manager and have everything rectified as soon as possible They found us a room shortly and up we went While the bed was made and we had fresh towels, the room hadn’t been cleaned It hadn’t been vacuumed, the sink and shower were dirty, and that toilet! There were feces remnants in the bowl and urine down the front of the toilet and under the seat We were tired and didn’t want to do another room change which would likely mean a hotel change because this was the last “clean” room I called the front desk The nice lady who helped us earlier was very apologetic I told her it was unacceptable, and she told me she’d leave a note for her GM When we checked out the next morning, I asked to speak to the GM While she was apologetic and explained they’re short staffed, it was clear she had bigger fish to fry I thought this whole experience deserved a rate reduction Get it together, La Quinta! I’m guessing we aren’t the only people who’ve experienced this issue No paying customer wants to clean the feces and urine of someone they don’t know It was disgusting!PS Thank you to the accommodating lady at the front desk I’m sorry I don’t know your name

My husband and I stayed here in the master suite for our honeymoon The room was neat and clean when we arrived, with a VERY comfortable bed and a tub big enough for us to share We got the homemade croissants for breakfast and they were absolutely delicious

The staff was helpful and professional, always offering us serviceThe hotel is within walking distance of a bar, ice cream place, restaurant, and more There is a pool but we didn’t try it Overall wonderful stay, and would definitely stay again

The service there is amazing Everyone was friendly especially Tiffany She checked me in with ease despite a few small “funny issues” we ran into but took care of me

I was greeted everytime I was seen by staff and no one was afraid to conversation When I return “home” I will definitely book again The rooms were clean and ready to go Great place to sleep

Annette Garcia

If you want to pay $100 a night for a crack hotel room go for it! This hotel is a joke! As soon as we entered the room on their first floor, the horrible stench of mold hit me right in the face The carpet was sticky all over and felt gross The bed was uncomfortable, worse than a crack hotel bed

The sheets are nice but you can feel the plywood your sleeping on underneath the thin mattress The restroom looked like the crevices have never been cleaned, the shower head had gunk buildup, the bath tub had paint chipping off all over, the rails had hard water stains all over This entire room was gross and old The pool had hair all over it like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while What made the stay worse, their staff starting knocking on my door to leave since 10:30am when checkout is 12pm One man even let himself into the room after knocking once at 11:50am after telling him I was on my way out leaving This is probably the worst stay I’ve ever had Will avoid this place from now on I truly trusted since it’s a holiday inn wouldn’t have to worry about but this place is definitely not up to par or hotel standards

Stephen Harlow

The room had a weird smell when we first walked in The fridge was also not plugged in and did not smell good eitherThe AC would wait a little too long to turn on, so it would start to get warm before it finally would kick on

Bed was fine

I was there in 2017 and I loved this hotel!!! It had a kitchenette which I’d never heard of or seen in a hotelThe room had a bedroom and also a living room which affords a lot of privacy for anyone lodging thereThe hotel grounds was very serene too

The breakfast was great tooI look forward to visiting soonest

Misty Thompson

I never write reviews but this was one of the most miserable stays we’ve ever experienced The air never got below 78! I know it’s hot outside but that’s no reason for the air to not work right The pool was murky and the keys kept deactivating

Got locked out of the building several times For $170 I expected more out of the stay

Angel Serigne

Far from the interstate The free breakfast had little variety – eggs, yogurt, oatmeal or grits, bagels which could be toasted and bread which could not, coffee, and juice When an employee was there, they were usually on their phone and did not interact with guests

For the Wednesday happy hour, there was wine, cheese and soup The cheese was good Service was the same as breakfast

Great hotel & location ! The moment you walk into the lobby, you’ll be hit with the nice ambience & extremely friendly/helpful staff members, fortunately the entire hotel matched my first impressionThe rooms are so clean & everything’s so nice smelling The 2-Queen room is quite large with a nice large seating area, huge TV, desk & a big bathroom

They include a real high-power blow dryer, as well ! The bathtub/shower are a good size too, not what I typically see in hotels It was a great hotel & the price makes it even more attractive I will say that the beds were a bit firm, but not uncomfortable We enjoyed our stay & will stay at this hotel again, when we’re in town

Eric Biagas

Four stars – only because they are undergoing renovations The room was nice, seemingly well maintained, and very quiet The staff was friendly enough and the in-house bar was perfect for a few drinks before bed

The lighting in the sitting areas seems to be a bit off (too cool and in conflict with the tone seen in the adjacent lobby), but the spaces provided ample seating

Victor Nguyen

It was sad they had one chef working one night Our waiter gave me the wrong order and forgot my salad I didn’t complain because I understand things happen

They didn’t have a laundry like other hotels Wifi is always annoying to connect to Smartwater was $6, but at the gas station it was $219 They had no prices at the concession so I wouldn’t know how much it was I don’t like the doors that hide the refrigerator, it was like opening two doors to get to the refrigerator

We used to love coming here, but we have a small dog less than 4lbsshe is fully trained and a service animal

Since the new company took over, this company is charging $15000 for a non-refundable fee per pet, Per room That is entirely too much most hotels in Lafayette are 2000 to 5000 refundable at end of stayHowever, if you don’t have a pet,the staff here are super friendly, very professional, they treat everyone like fmlyThe house keepers all love their job, They really clean the rooms extremely good The beds are super comfy The breakfast is really really good The pool is always cleanThe maintenance man is always available and on top of his jobhe is very niceand works greatThis hotel is following all guidelines for covid

Robbie Mason

Very disappointed that this hotel has roaches The ceiling has water damage and spots and the carpet isn’t vacuumed daily The ice buckets were dirty

The couch has stains The appliances were not wiped down, things were sticky My room had one rag and dry towel Breakfast was fine despite the rude attendant who laughed at the people and made jokes about wanting to put the food up early and was standing in the back on her phone She was staring as I was getting breakfast as if she was tired of waiting Sad because when I moved to Louisiana I came here and loved my stay Seems the hotel is going down hill Now I worry about waking up to bugs when I have my daughter with me Can’t spleen in peace with these things going on

wanda

After a bad experience w Hilton (advertised pool) & they were actually redoing pool area for more business space As fast as we got there w a 4 yr old expecting a pool

We left and got out $$ back We found your hotel w a pool and hot tub! Our experience and stay was AMAZING! Even had a very nice breakfast before heading home! Thank you from my family to yours

This was not a good place It was clean enough but not great The TV only got one channel and was never resolved although we asked multiple times

The only reason it gets 2 stars is it had a working fridge and passable furniture The entire hotel but especially our room needs deep cleaning, (including behind the bathroom door) and major updating

Nicke K

Stayed here a week on a work trip Wish I booked a different hotel At least the price was good

Positives: Cold AC, comfy bed, decent staff, car and room were not tampered with, no bugsNegatives: Broken elevator, thin walls, moldy bathroom ceiling/showerhead/tub, broken bathroom fan, fabrics / furniture in the room were dirty, children screaming and running down the halls, parents screaming at said kids in the rooms (all of which you can hear between the walls)If you plan to stay here, bring something to kill mold and hope your room is clean and your neighbors aren’t annoying Otherwise, decent enough

Fantastic location close to the airport and the heart of Lafayette The property is well kept and is in great shape My room however, was not

You can start to see it showing its age, with cracks forming in the walls, chipped furniture, and an embarrassingly chipped bathtub The water pressure in the shower was great, but the flaking laminate of the bathtub really was the low point How they had this room open for guests with something in this condition in a respectable property like this one is beyond meOtherwise, staff is friendly and courteous The free breakfast had quite a few new selections such as Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and fruit cups, a welcome sight after one too many powdered eggsThe parking lot itself is well lit, but is kind of set back from Kaliste Saloom, so it may be hard to find, not to mention the sign for the place seems to be missing and it shares an albeit awkward driveway with the Best Western next doorWill I stay here again? Probably, but it won’t be my first choice again, as there are other options nearby

Kenny M

Clean and friendly! Very friendly staff and the room even came with popcorn Id stay here again passing through on I-10 Bathtub was a bit weathered but overall a nice place

Edit: The provided breakfast was also very good Main plate included bacon, eggs, and French toast Cereal and plenty of sides available

Warm greeting upon entering plus warm cookies so you can’t lose! Room was very spacious and bed was quite comfortable I travel weekly for work and I slept straight through in this bed The rooms are a little dated but nice

The only thing that bothered me was the crooked install of the bathroom sink and the dust accumulation on the bathroom vent Housekeeping never cleans those things so it’s not shocking Would definitely stay here again!

Christine Charles-Pauuvale

We had the a room with the River View and it was really exciting for the kids! Throughout the day we seen boats passing and might have even seen a alligator! Our room was very clean, cracks and corners were tidy and bathroom was perfect Only down side, they do not offer free breakfast LOL but overall the hotel is well kept, the staff was extra friendly and it is in a good location I will be back again!

Our stay was great at this hotel We were greeted by Keira at the front desk She had the most positive attitude and really made our stay more enjoyable

The front desk was very nice and the beds were comfortable I have stayed here before but since then this hotel has gone down The hotel is very expensive for the area and service

The walls are extremely dirty and the elevator doors are nasty I could barely eat my food for looking at the walls I have never seen dirty walls like this even at cheaper hotels From the time you get off the elevator it’s nothing but nasty stains on the walls You can tell they do not wipe anything off I was shocked since we are living with Covid and Monkey Pox Before your stay I would advise buying some wipes and cleaning before you touch anything Breakfast was from 6am to 8am How ridiculous!! I went down there at 8:15am looking for coffee and was told I would have to use the pot in the room because the kitchen was closed I asked for sugar because you only get 2 tiny packs She told me I couldn’t get any sugar ask the front desk I’m a travel agent and I will never stay here again nor will I ever have any of my clients stay here Advice for management Take some of the money people are paying for those expensive rooms and invest in some cleaning products

Tom O’Connor

Front desk staff was very nice and personable Room was clean but the carpet or AC smells of mold and dampness it’s over powering The reason we booked this hotel was for the pool which was very similar to the swamps we toured earlier in the day

The water was green and cloudy with green algae covering the walls, steps and ladder There were dozens of large water bugs swimming in the pool and in the corners of the pool there were super cute water bug nurseries with 100’s of little babies I only give 2 stars because the front desk attendant was so nice Otherwise it would be a 1 star Stay else where

Pierce Nolen

Although the hotel seems to be the most updated place, the little dirty town of Abbeville has, don’t let that fool you Housekeeping isn’t even doing the most basic things, such as wiping the spilled and sprayed stuff on the walls right behind the headboards and walls in the most noticeable places The faucet in the bathroom is crusted and spotty, mold buildup around the floor in front of the tub, and what I’m sure is a huge gross booger on the light socket in the bathroom

If cleanliness isn’t your focus and you need to stay in Abbeville, it’s your best option The staff was friendly, and they do offer free breakfast, which was a plus for the three teenage boys playing a baseball tournament Food on these trips gets expensive

The outer appearance looks great The surrounding area has plenty of places to eat The staff was polite and accommodating

Lobby nice and has modern decor My stay was only for one night while passing through LafayetteNow the problem with the hotel the inside of the rooms look clean but have ants and roaches Small roaches were in the bathroom Some fell out of my towel after I used it to dry off Elevator wreaks of urine

Wonderful Courtyard in a great area of Lafayette within walking distance of many stores and restaurants Great staff, clean rooms A complete opposite property of the horrible TownPlace Suites across the street

Don’t stay at the TownPlace unless you like a cold breakfast and ride staff who is usually outside smoking cigs rather than paying attention to the hotel needs

The air conditioning in my first room did not work Walked into the room (in June) to see it at 77 degrees I had a work function to attend, so I turned it down and left thinking that it would be cool when I returned

Came back at around 11pm to a 78 degree room They moved me to a new room at midnightThe hotel is in a good location but the parking lot was full of people partying, so it was loud The pool was maybe 10×12 and fully covered by an overhang This is probably why I could not find photos of itThere was no hand soap in either of the rooms I was in and the room I moved into was also out of body washThe kitchen sink in the second room did not drain At allI left 2 clothing items in the room (I know exactly where I left them) and called 2 days after checking out to see if I could get my items back They apparently cannot find the 2 items I clearly left behindOverall, it was a pretty poor experience

Rooms are a little squeezed Not much space for a suite Especially the one I got with 2 beds

The sink is gross and filthyThe shower head fell off as I took a shower The lady at check in wasn’t friendly, I had an early checkin approved but she wanted to make me wait till 3pm or 12pm Thank God I remembered the lady who approved my early check in (Thanks Bree 🙂 you’re a life saver ) I work nights, so a nice quiet dark room would be ideal There were loud noises coming from the room above mine And the blinds leave a space under, so light comes in to the room It’s not really darkOther than all the, everything else was just okay

Stay somewhere else The hotel itself is fairly new However it it very poorly managed

The front desk employees need some serious customer service training You have to ask for extra towels and bedding because they don’t provide enough for the number of people in your room The elevators are slow Despite numerous attempts we could never connect to the wi-fi The breakfast “buffet” is a complete joke! And forget trying to communicate with the cleaning staff None of them speak English The “pool” is the size of a hot tub

Probably the best hotel experience that we’ve had in quite some time Everyone working at the hotel were courteous and helpful The rooms were really nice and comfy

The dining area was nice and clean My wife especially loved the fruit toppings for her yogurt All of the food that I ate was tasted good One thing I liked was the pet run was right out back Splendid stay

Worth the drive off the interstate to be in a nice safe area We were thrilled to find a higher end area! Everything about the hotel was great but the room (404) had an awful, moist smell The AC pumps out the smell and it reminded us of when you steam clean a room but don’t air it out and it has that wet bacteria smell

The rooms were clean, staff was very nice and overall a great choice especially if you ever accidentally stayed on the north side like we have

From start to finish our experience was great The hotel staff was so courteous and helpful This is one of the best experiences our party has ever had with hotel staff

The young lady who worked the night shift of the front desk on 6/10 was extremely kind! Isaiah at the breakfast the next morning was great Our room was clean (for a hotel room) We didn’t have conditioner in our shower but they had little bottles at the front desk The headboard tops could use a nice dusting but overall I was impressed by the cleanliness We would recommend and stay again My only complaint is that there were young people in the hall until like 1am slamming doors, talking loud, and running/stomping That is kind of “the risk” you take at a hotel though lol after all you are kind of having a sleepover with hundreds of other people

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful! Things were great until I woke up to a bug crawling on the pillow! Also, we were told checkout is “before noon,” but our key cards stopped working at 10:30 am as we were loading up the car and before we’d formally checked out

Housekeeping tried to come in at 9 am which woke us up However, it was helpful that housekeeping was around as they had to let us back in our room to retrieve the remainder of our belongings Everything else was great!

Decent size rooms, everything was clean, the staff was super friendly They had a decent breakfast No bar but they have a few drinks in a cooler for purchase

Pool was kinda small but okGet some car chargers and this place would be on our list of places to stay in the future

Really nice staff at reception Quick serviceI understand conserving energy, but A/C in “away” mode, made first few minutes back musky and uncomfortable

A/C picked up quick though 1st world problems I supposeProperty is currently getting a face-lift Temp entry to deal with, but will be beautiful in no time I’d recommend

Alert!!!! This hotel is under renovation The exterior is horrible and looks nothing like the picture You cant use the front entrance bc of water leaks and construction equipment

The rennovated rooms look like a college dorm room with a 32 inch TV and no pictures on the walls The bed does not even have a headboard They have leaks in the ceiling, and air purifiers everywhere I am probably inhaling black mold as i type You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig Oink 🐷!

We ended up checking out and finding another hotel for the night The hallway and room smelled musty like mildew A dehumidifier was running in the hallway so there might have been some kind of water leak somewhere

We were afraid to stay in a place that smelled like thatBesides the smell, we had paid extra for a balcony room Our balcony looked out over the front entrance that was under construction There was no way we were going to sit on s balcony watching the construction workers and listening to the sounds of hammering and banging
