I stayed here for 6 months The manager and his family treated me great The manager did not tolerate problems at this hotel and every night he was out checking

He told me that people are on the road and want to rest not listen to a bunch of drunks in the room next door So, he made it a great place to stay I did not have any trouble with any of the appliances and we always had plenty of hot water The maids were great and always gave me extra towels I will stay in this hotel again and I am planning on going back and working in San Antonio Great service and great people

Harvey Gutierrez

My stay at Hometown suite was an impressive but yet very comfortable stay The rooms were spotless, clean everything Honestly I could have had a horrible night

I had locked myself outside my room in the middle of the night without a shirt and it was freezing I was very impressed with how fast the lady in the front office was aware of my situation She quickly opened the door to let me in She gave me some warm coffee and a fresh towel for the cold She was fast to get my information so that I could get a copy of my key I believe her name was Yvonne if I’m not mistaken I stayed the whole weekend for my job so I got to see her a few times there I believe she works at night This hotel has very friendly staff, but Yvonne was sure a true professional and a respectful female as far as I know Any establishment would be super lucky to have a person like her working for them Congratulations Hometown Studios and Owners for having such a professional and excellent employee, but most importantly such a special type of person that she showed to be Thank you for everything So I’ll give you 1 star I’m joking

Just Fun

Horrible experience Booked hotel 3 days ahead and reservation we’re still not the system My bed was full of stains on the bed

Night employee closed the door on us before 11 pm The hotel wants to charge for everything, even if you just lost your key to the room They don’t provide anything The smart tv aren’t even smart The room was being under maintenance and still rented like that to us OVERALL A SCAM!!!!!!

PROS:+ Hotel & room look fresh and newly renovated+ Staff was overall friendly and helpful+ Mina (I think that was his name) at the Front Desk was wonderful at asking how the stay was He was professional, classy, and approachable I was amazed how unafraid he was to ask how the stay was 1-10

Hotel workers need to ask this more often! He deserves a raise :)CONS:- Corner suite can be a bit noisy from the Bart, didn’t bother me but can bother light sleepers- Location isn’t exactly walking distance from any restaurants, bars, or groceries- Must pay for parking

Tiara Littleton

Thank you, Mina, for the outstanding customer service from the time I arrived to the time I checked out The hotel was spotless, parking is a little unnecessarily priced, but there is street parking, the continental breakfast was on par, especially for an athlete like myself I like the various options they have available! I definitely look forward to staying here every time I come to the Bay

Tim Riener

This place is just on the outskirts of downtown Walnut Creek But it is also very close to BART All of which means it’s a good place to stay and easy to get to

As Marriotts go it’s about par for the course in terms of cost and quality The parking situation is a little bit dicey, and may have to rely on valet parking Still, on the whole would call this place a good value for the money

First i would like to say that i really don’t understand why anyone could write a bad review on this Hotel From start, the valet were very friendly and ready to assist us in getting my daughter and i situated One person that really stood out was Tony the valet, he immediately took control of making us feel like we made the right hotel choice

He grabbed our belongings from our SUV and helped us to our room on the way he gave us good information, places to visit and eat he made sure to assure us that we could call him at anytime, if we needed help with anything The room was extremely clean, the beds very comfortable we were amazed at the quality for the reasonable price my daughter and I enjoyed the 19th floor balcony at night the view was beautiful, watching the River glistening and the music was wonderful If Google had 10 stars for review, i would still ask for more stars, this place was amazing and i recommend it to anyone looking for a nice comfortable place to relax Hilton Palacio del Rio you have made new customers Customer service reflects on management and training Thank you for caring for your customers

Cindi Rogers

We enjoyed 3 nights at Hilton Palacio with our family The hotel was not super modern, but very clean and tastefully decorated Everything worked perfectly in the room

Plenty of towels, blankets, and every other thing All of the staff was so helpful! The Bellman, Israel was delightful and he showed us how to use the fancy elevator system right away! It’s brilliant once you know what to do! The desk clerk was so informative and helpful as well We had breakfast at the Riverside Cafe downstairs The food was great and the server(s) were efficient and polite as well I see some folks complained about the noise, but after spending some time on the Riverwalk, let me add that the same noise is everywhere! The loud vehicles reverberate throughout the downtown area and it seems as though there is nothing one can do about that I travel with earplugs to muffle that kind of sound wherever I go The hotel sounds were very quiet Delightful stay and we would stay here again!

Nayely Banuelos

First off you have to try they’re restaurant downstairs! Amazing food ! Anyways When you stay at this beautiful hotel you definitely pay for what you get ! It’s very clean and has a modern and old fashion vibe to it the location is great and the view is just a bonus Very professional and welcoming staff

Very clean rooms The outdoor pool was definitely one of my favorites it’s on a higher but not too high roof top that overlooks the beautiful night life of the San Antonio city ! You have to check it out! 10/10 recommended

Hotel overall was nice and clean Our room was definitely in need of updating and remodeling The outlets ruined our phone charger, the bath tub had a large water stain in it, and overall you could tell the room was in need of repairs

The bed was comfortable, and it was great for over night on our road trip with our cats, but I wouldn’t stay here again if I was in the area

C. A.

Giving this stay 2 stars and it’s really disappointing because we have really enjoyed most of our stays at La Quintas This one however is need of some attention The kitchen areas (we ended up staying in 2 rooms) were very worn and older

Our room was clean otherwise so we didn’t fret it was like no big deal we used our points for this stay The issue came during the evening when one of us walked into the restroom to several bugs (not sure what they were) crawling around on the floor and the more we looked around the more we seen as the lights were being turned on and for us this is a deal breaker!! We quickly moved our things to the car and called down to the lobby The staff was super friendly and apologetic and very quick to get us another room on a lot higher of a floor We still left our things in the car but at 1am moving rooms was the best option at that point We know these things happen and in warmer climates especially, we’re not unreasonable but there was so many we couldn’t have been the 1st complaint the room was clearly neglected and should not have been booked The photos are of the 1st room with the issue We will be attempting to get our points back and will definitely not be staying at this La Quinta in the future I would like to emphasize that this could have been a much worse situation if the staff wasn’t so willing and eager to try to make adjustments

Veronica Torres

The lobby was nice, the breakfast was descent but the room was dingy and dirty There were stains on the walls and the couch The restroom was dated and dingy

The ice machine had mold on it Overall the place just felt nasty and dated Even the exterior was dirty looking The staff were very kind, polite and helpful They’re basically the only plus side

This is a very clean hotel The beds were clean and comfy It had a decent breakfast and the staff was very polite and helpful

I would give 5 stars of not fit the issues with the key cards They didn’t work half of the time Other than that, this is probably the 2nd best hotel at which we have stayed The best was brand new, so it’s really not comparable If I ever have a need to come back to San Antonio w will stay here again

Bobbie Brumley

Rooms are clean, ac worked great Bathrooms nice and neat Very few cosmetic things that

Okie use some updating, but everything still looks nice and spaciousBreakfast was fine, pool is small and it’s difficult to even enjoy because other guests were letting their kids go crazy and front desk can only do so much Location needs more around food wise and shops or target it but that’s not the hotels issue Still was a nice stay for me and the kids Definitely will continue to be a guest for next time Thanks!

Alan Marrero

This place is a mixed bag of feelings Concierge was super friendly and helpful Our room had food from previous guests in the fridge

Beds were done nicely but everything else was kind of overlooked Overall it’s an old place and just in our room three cockroaches were running around in multiple locations When we arrived the AC unit was off which created a smell and a whole lot of humidity The bathroom is full of mold, corrosion and dust Towels were provided but no soap, we had to go back to the front desk This is a convenient location to stay in in our case it was just an overnight so it worked out Rooms were quiet and AC after a while it did it’s job and room was cool

So far I’ve been here one hour on a four night stay and already regretting being hereI’ve had to park my own vehicleI’ve had to bring my own bags up to my room

The bottle of wine I preordered to be in the room was not there One they overlooked this, second they blamed me for not selecting a certain brand after they finally found my request (later I discovered that there’s only one choice of this type of wine offered here)I’m use to staying in places that this isn’t ever a issue or concern I usually tip out a $100 before I get to my room If there’s a question they call and ask like the wine Not just ignore the special request all togetherStaff have been friendly and the food has been good This is nice at a restaurant but with the previous mentioned issues they fall short of a claimed 4 star hotelStart at the bottom here I guess, everything will be a bonus from here on outUpdate; The hotel did send a complimentary bottle of wine with a nice card The wife was happy about the wine and I appreciated the thought and effort of the card Thus a star addedWhat was not mentioned was that our suite overlooking the beautiful courtyard was subject to hosting events I had to keep the blinds and windows closed for any privacy which is not what I wanted in sunny California, and did nothing for the noise These events were held a little late and early in my opinion to not bother guests 9:30 or so at night before guests left and staff had things cleaned up The doors to the courtyard were located at the wall of our bed So a lot of banging doors between guests and staff leaving while trying to get ready for sleep Thus no additional starsConclusion; 2 1/2 stars, place has potential, food was very good consistently, unsure if we’ll stay again and take the risk

Kerrin Mitchell

We have been blown away by the hospitality, services, and property (pool/spa, yes!) at Lafayette Park A complete joy to stay here Every member of the front desk staff, in particular, showed our family authentic care and kindness

We took advantage of the area, walking distance to downtown Lafayette and that adorable Headlands Brewery — and the Lafayette Reservoir too! Thank you to Lafayette Park for everything!

Sihomara Graves

This review is for our interaction with Lafayette Park which ultimately led to our inability to stay there As parents to an infant and four year old, we were very much looking forward to a night away Unfortunately, we mistakenly booked for the day of booking rather than the following weekend when we planned on staying

We realized our error a few hours later and immediately called Lafayette refused to work with us We assured them we would be booking again for the correct date to no avail So now we are out almost $300 which will cost us our ability to get away at all We are very saddened that their staunch devotion to their corporate rules won out over common sense and decency Book with caution

Night desk help was very helpful and friendly, morning team seemed to be bothered by us checking out Especially the gentleman that kept coming out from the back office! Stayed both before we flew out and when we returned We had the same experience both times

Hotel is being renovated (really needed!,) so some rooms are nicer than others Great water pressure and lots of hot water! Could be the morning staff deals with construction complaints more than night crews and thus the grumpiness First night was on the first floor, Window locks didn’t work Was a little worried since the hotel has a giant security fence around the perimeter No maintenance staff for the evening so we used what was there to secure it Slept better on the plane the next day LOL! Very convenient to the airport and understand hotel is being renovated I am sure it will be back to what is was in no time

Southwest Airlines screwed 56 of its customers and put most of us up in this hotel The hotel was fast, efficient, and had two people working the front desk once we finally got to the hotel They had a small free shuttle to and from the airport and given there were so many of us rescheduled to fly out at 6am the next morning, provided uber rides to ensure that their guests arrived back at the airport on time, early the next morning

They provided us with comfy beds, a hot shower, and had a quick grab-and-go breakfast ready with hot coffee Kudos to the two PM workers and especially the night shift front desk staff member who worked his tail off to ensure a smooth morningThank you for making our unanticipated stay a little more bearable

Jacqueline Villaver

We checked in around 5:30 pm on Sunday May 8, and found out that the shampoo, shower gel and coffee condiments (sugar, cream, etc) were not refilled We asked the front desk for refills but unfortunately, the housekeeping was gone for the day

However she was kind enough to give us a shampoo in a plastic cup I haven’t experienced this on other Holiday Inn Express locations The breakfast was good but that’s about it I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this hotel when we visit Oakland again

Perfect location if you are travelling through Oakland Literally 3 minutes to the airport We stayed in a Pure Wellness room and the air purification was amazing

You could literally smell the clean Not a fragrance clean, simply clean air Beds amazing and super comfy and crisp yet soft but again super clean Let’s talk staff Top notch bend over backwards to help you the entire time If they were on the elevator before you they stop and push buttons for you Simply all were just treasures Kudos The food at the bistro restaurant was super good We all enjoyed it so much We’ll done Marriott

Forte Art

Wonderful place to stay It’s got a 24-hr gym and an outdoor swimming pool Both indoor and outdoor lounging areas have comfortable furniture

The hotel is fairly secured with access gate People can still climb over the fence (6ft high?) I gave it a 4-star because there wasn’t a full restaurant inside and it’s expensive Fortunately there was lots of restaurants nearby Also the rear entrance door slam shut really loud; they should adjust it Also my room’s bathroom door couldn’t be closed fully; something was wedging it Otherwise, everything was clean and comfortable

Katherine Pacpaco

Location is by the airport so convenient for early or late flights and if you just want to stay by the airport I was upgraded to a PURE wellness room so appreciated the upgrade There’s an air filter and the carpet and furnishings are supposed to be cleaned better than a normal room

I slept fine, bed comfy and air purifier not too loud but no that quiet either Other than that it’s good typical Courtyard room Room was clean and not too noisy being that it’s by the airportBeing that there is increased crime rates in the Bay Area at least the hotel recognized this and I saw a security guard both outside and inside the hotel For a traveler this may be off putting but in my eyes better safe than sorry

Friendly room service and breakfast teamNice breakfast selection, good pool and basketball courtThe front desk was not professional at all, we stayed there 2 weeks, didn’t get a nice room, didn’t get an upgrade promised, didn’t get a room changed that was promised

they never checked the pool area which got out of control 3 times during out stay

JJ

Rooms stink, bad Staff will not accommodate you when you request to move because, “smell isn’t a good reason for a move or refund We’ll spray it

” Internet is horrible, only works half the time, neighbors pound on your door, whole having a domestic incident, and staff does not care I spend 11 months a year on the road, never staying at a Hyatt again

Matthias Silver

First off

when you pull in, there are no signs to direct you to the front desk, so if you pull in after the doors are locked it is hard to find it Second, when I asked the security guard in the parking lot where the office was he responded “No” That’s all, just no then finally, I find the front desk and ask about a room, to which I got no response, just a glaze-eyed stare from the seemingly stoned desk clerk if you have to ask no, I will not return

Hotel is looking pretty shabby Paint on doors is chipped and wood is damaged Carpet is damaged

There is no one at the check in desk; you have to ring for help Staff was very friendly and helpful There4 was no handicapped room available but I was put on the ground floor Breakfast was minimal I tried it the first day but skipped the second except to grab fruit

R theige

I reserved 2 queen beds, but was told on checkin that no 2 bed rooms were available, that they were “oversold” Whats the point of getting a reservation? Instead, the (polite) desk rep offered a king and sofa bed (terrible, thin mattress, un even, springs felt

) This was the unsatisfactory accommodation for an 80+ year old woman (my mom) and I (retired) I also found the torn carpet at the room entry and the mildewed, poorly applied silicon caulk in the bath room, and other things s representative of the quality of LaQuinta over all

Danny Lopez

Room air conditioning or heating was not working in my room 125, the bathroom faucet needs to be replaced asap does not work correctly, very loud service workers in hall way most of the night I maybe slept 5 hours all night!I reported the thermostat issue to lady when checking out and she basically dismissed the issue I work a lot in the area and typically stay in another hotel so bottom line

Will not be staying here again

Great little room at a great distance from downtown Felt pretty secure here It’s a small hotel with about 20 rooms and 2 floors, so it’s really small

Non the less they have covered and uncovered parking It’s pretty clean, I did see 2 small insects inside the restroom which is what stopped It from being a 5 star review The front desk gentlemen does need to be a little more friendly, he was not rude but not welcoming neither

Cheryl Schifferdecker

The owner is so very nice and friendly The hotel is clean! Slept great The area looks intimidating but we felt secure – parking available at the hotel with no charge

We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Very close to all of our bucket list of attractions I was positive our bedding was clean and fresh Soft clean blankets

We arrived with a small group taking 8 rooms for 3 nights We were expecting just the run of the mill motel, but were very pleasantly surprised with a big step up Everything about the spotless rooms, from construction materials to furniture and furnishings was of excellent quality

There was even, to my amazement and enjoyment, a nice reproduction of a Fernando Botero painting on our wall Staff were pleasant and helpful Property is only a mile from downtown in an area undergoing obvious redevelopment, but certainly safe enough to walk in now If we get a chance to come to San Antonio again, this is certainly where we will stay

We couldn’t really hear him because he was mumbling, we politely asked if he could repeat and he yelled at us Not okay Wanted to say something but I was too exhausted from being at the hospital with my new bornBreakfast was OK Was very little choicesOther than that beds were comfortable Bathroom was beautiful And it was clean

We were greeted immediately upon arrival The room was very clean! We were impressed with the breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, muffins, fruit, French toast sticks, make your own waffles, milk & juices Everything from the breakfast bar was hot, stayed fully stocked & tasted really good, I wish I had taken pictures cause the possibilities were endless

The coffee bar which also stayed fully stocked consisted of light & dark roast available along with hot chocolate, choice of either raw sugar or white sugar along with sugar substitutes, and a few different creamers for your choosing The front desk clerk Richard was a joy to be around, he was friendly our entire stay & helpful with places to eat in the area The pool was somewhat small but enjoyable indoors in a climate controlled environment The parking lot is pretty lit up at night & has cameras so it was pretty safe & secure Chuck E Cheese happens to be right next door if the kids get stir crazy in the hotel All of the staff at this hotel are doing a wonderful job! If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would! We will be back to stay again!

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands! John was great getting me checked in despite some technical difficulties on my end, he got everything squared away quickly and was friendly/patient with me The room was clean and everything I expected for a Hampton Inn stay The following morning, I had to leave before breakfast hours but Pam made sure I had something quick on the go so I’d be ready for a long work day! Both John and Pam went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and seemed genuinely invested in making sure I had a good experience during my 3 day stay

I wish every hotel stay could be this memorable!

They took care of me Had a room right by the side door to leave which was perfect

However, the entrance from that same side door that utilizes the key card did not work, so I had to walk through the lobby and all the way down the hallway to get back to my room even though it was literally right by the stairwell Just get that side entrance door working properly and it would have been a great experience

Best place Safest I’ve been to in San Antonio Clean

Worth the money Quiet Great full breakfast It’s my go to every time I visit San Antonio here forward Don’t let the area discourage you I was leery at first but don’t regret my stay I’ve registered for rooms in way better areas and the hotels were shady and crime infested This place was worth every penny

Honest review:Completed my stay this weekend 4 issues that were concerningUnfortunately the smell of smoke resonates through the whole hotel that is smoke free

Seems to be seamed into the walls and carpetA/C unit is very loud, turns on and off throughout the night Not the best for sleepBreakfast was absolutely horrendous, we had to buy food next door Eggs were from the powder, biscuits were hardI would’ve left a higher review but for lack of professionalism from staff Had dinner delivered without a forkI had kindly asked the the front desk for a plastic fork around 5pm I was told , sorry no we close at 9AM Nothing I can doI left it alone, since I’m not that kind of guest, but we ended up going next door again to get a forkI do understand if I was asking for breakfast but I just really wanted a fork to finish my meal There was roughly 9 guests in the entire hotel, the silverware probably within 15 feet of reception area I would’ve appreciated an effort to attempt to please a guestSometimes it’s the small things that ruin an experienceUnfortunately I will never stay at a best western again do to this experience

They made extra charges on our creditcard without any invoice, without prior information and without questioning, totally illegal

I wrote them to claim but nothing, so now I have a claim with booking com help and also I made legal steps with our lawyer Be carefully with this hotel! Also the breakfast was terrible, disgusting the place not bad, but seems the direction board of the hotel are terrible

This hotel was decently priced with a pool , ice machine , laundry room and gym The breakfast menu was decent! The staff was polite and accommodating I will say the rooms had an odd smell to them and you have to order room service beforehand

We requested extra towels and our room to be cleaned and no one showed up but the front office people were able to hand us our towels and also mentioned the pool closed at 10 instead of 8pm I did not have any problems or a rude experience at this hotel! It also has an HEB where you can buy snacks and refill gas just across it!

Sydney Wheat

The room was spacious and seemed cool but upon further inspection we found dirty diapers in the trash can, right next to the bed, that began to sink up the air Secondly, there was hair inside the shower and old towels that had been left on the ground My guess is the only thing anyone bothered doing was tucking the bed back in before our arrival

Rating my stay and this hotel a 2 because my friends and I decided to take a star away for each atrocity we had to push to the side or pick up that had been left behind

Can’t explain how great San Antonio was from the area to my hotel to dining to all of it! This hotel was so much better then I expected it was big and clean! Everyone was friendly and helpful! Victor was probably one of the best valets I’ve encountered it was nice to see him each day of our stay Pleasant young man I would come back to this hotel great experience

Tim Solomonov

The staff is pretty helpful and very friendly, lobby is beautiful and expansive The breakfast (buffet style) is very average I never noticed any unpleasant smells which is a rare for a hotel, so they manage that pretty well

The room was missing some important things specifically for me, for example that is tissues and more shower soap ect The bathroom door in the room I stayed at was very strange, it’s a double door that you open with two of your hands, it does not close properly and has a massive 1-inch gap, and unfortunately has no lock at allAlso the shower in the room I stayed at is very old and the shower head has low pressure to it, and the directions of the water jets are not straight so you have a pretty hard time doing your business in there The water barely goes down the drain at a very slow rate, so as you are showering you’re standing in a pool, and the pool grows exponentially

J Kerbo

For the money this La Quinta is quite a gem Rooms were clean and slept well Everything was within easy walking distance

The breakfast was fantastic just make sure you get there early due to it filling up quickly My only gripe was that they charge you an extra $28 to park but from what I gathered that’s normal for hotels I this area
