Easily accommodated our big group with short notice It’s close enough to the church which is good Complimentary breakfast was included which had enough variety for everyone

The suite was large and clean They are also wheel chair accessible A down sides was that, the hair dryer kept shorting out and some of the others in the others rooms were not even working Overall though we had a good experience

I wanted to self-checkin with a digital key I had to go to the front desk for them to see my ID The man at the front desk that helped me was very nice

When I tried to use the digital key to open exterior doors, it did not work, and I had to walk to the front to get inThe room was a little out dated but not bad Turned on the TV and there was a line through the TV so it was hard to watch Woke up in the middle of the night to pee and a roach was in the bathroomIn the morning, I told the staff at the front desk about the TV They stared at me, waited a few seconds, then said “I’m sorry” I said you probably want to write it down so I don’t get charged or so you can put a new one in the room They said, “Oh, that’s a good idea” I then told them about the roach Same thing they looked at me for a few seconds then said “I’m sorry” Basically they did not care nor were they going to do anything about thisWish I could say it was a 42 star experience but it was not Would not stay here again

Attendant Told us they had no rooms, then chased us when we were getting in the car ready to leave & said the owner told him there was 1 room available but at a higher price than we had seen online My wife told him No, that he was playing games & trying to charge people a higher price by saying they were booked upFunny because there were not many cars parked at motel

😁So we said Goodbye, Adios!

We had a few “snags” here but a lot of the amenities made up for it I suppose The first “snag” was the first room that was given to us, one of the two beds had obviously not been made up it looked like someone just woke up from it, obviously not clean! So immediately I requested another room which I was given right away! The rooms were a bit small and the bedding old fashioned, nothing like what is pictured and as advertised onlineThe beds were comfortable tho and the breakfast was really great

The pool area looked really inviting but it was cold outdoors Free parking is a plus too The lobby was bright and decorated nicely The price was good so if I had to I’d stay here again

Wonderful stay!! I had to come to weslaco for 2 weeks of management training at buffalo wild wings The company picked the hotel ahead of time There were several hotels closer to where I worked but I was so pleased with the room and the staff especially Alex(at the front desk) , I didn’t mind the drive

And after a 12 hour shift of training in a busy restaurant, I really appreciated the huge comfortable bed I would highly recommend Comfort Inn in Donna Texas to everyone And if I ever have to go out of town again, I hope they have a Comfort Inn because I don’t wanna stay anywhere else

Vicki Klamm

The room is worn, stained and dirty The bathroom had black mold around the tub, grab bars and tile The curtains were torn to shreds; the lampshades were broken and bases rusty

Asked to have the bathroom cleaned, but didn’t do it I asked for rags, a brush and bleach to clean it myself They never appeared with the supplies The foot of the mattress is higher than the head! You can only reach hotel staff on duty by phone Your complaints will fall on deaf ears They just don’t careLast stay here

This is the worst Comfort suites I’ve ever stayed in I normally love them, but man have they gone down hill after Covid Very noisy and bright light shines around the curtains all night

We hardly sept The hot breakfast used to have make your own waffles, sausage patties, little folded eggs with cheese, boiled eggs, a selection of pasteries, yogurt etc This one has the absolutely worse tasting microwave egg things I’ve ever tasted, a few muffins and coffee that might as well be hot water, no yogurt, no waffles, a few green bananas and apples The TV in our room is old and we couldn’t even cast from our phones to it The coffee given in the room was some weird brand that had no flavor either and looked like it had been there for years Some of the lights aren’t working in our room and the air conditioner doesn’t seem to keep the room at the set temp I like it cold in my room and set it at 66 and it definitely is not getting that cool and keeps going off The bed is comfy and it’s clean, but other than that it sucks I think they are using the Covid crisis as an exuse to skimp on the food etc Texas has been open and past the masks for a while now and I see no reason to use Covid for an exuse anymore We’ve had hardly any fatalities in a while and the cases have plumeted since Texas re-opened completely We will never stay at this Comfort Suites again and may think twice about staying in them in other areas We travel a lot and have stayed in other hotels that still have a decent breakfast and ammenities I am very disappointed

Beware of room 126 suite, with the volume on the TV you must get up out of bed and try to find the right button to turn it up The A/C was loud, the bed has full size pillows on a king bed, and they only give you two towels that is only enough for one girl If you want to stay at a Hampton go to Weslaco down the road

The only reason it got 2 stars is because the bed is comfortable

I don’t know how they got a 4 star rating other than they must have a lot of employes trying to keep there jobs I reserved a king with a sofa on the first floor We had to move to the second floor to get one

This motel has no elevator and we are both in our seventies with bad knees This motel also has a roach problem and I killed several during our 5 day stay The cable tv did not work and they had nothing for breakfast The only good thing I can say about this motel is the internet worked well

Everything was fine and dandy until I needed some new sheets I requested for my room to be turned down on my last night of my stay I was told by the front desk “we will clean and turn down rooms should you stay four or more nights

Also, we do not clean rooms after 3pm” So I asked myself “they will change your sheets every four days only? Gross!” I then asked the receptionist Jada “can I at least get some sheets left in front of my door?” She says “let me put on hold” She left me on hold for over five minutes I hung up and left because I wanted to continue enjoying my day I return to my room hours later and there are new sheets on the bed Keep in mind this mattress had multiple yellow stains of which none were mine and I have taken photos Also, be aware that I stripped out the bed and pillows myself I was in hopes that they would at least put them on, nope they were just left there The sheets which were taken off and put in a pile along with the dirty towels were not taken from the floor in front of the bed I’m not gonna lie, I kicked him out into the hallway in front of my door in once again a neat pile Hopefully the cleaning service will pick them up Please let it be know the cleaning service was still working my floor much after 1500, in fact they are still working the floor and it is 1841 Simple unfulfilled request is how you ruin customer service My stay went from a 5 Star to a ZERO Star

Christine Meece

The rooms were ridiculous the bed uncomfortable the spigot in the shower was literally coming out of the wall you had to turn on the water all the way to the hot to get semi hot water which had absolutely no pressure the drain plug didn’t work in the bathtub but the heater and air conditioner worked The customer service was the only thing that was good and it was a gentleman that helped me because of my situation and he was very personable and I appreciate him I forgot his name and the location of the motel I guess is it right in the middle of everything you can get anything you need in the vicinity I hope this helps anyone

Rain Storm

The rooms in the hotel were furnished and painted nicely, however my bathtub had a leak in it which flooded the room and had to be moved to a new room The main issues were with the type of guests staying at the hotel at the time and the way hotel front desk staff handle issues I went to the pool with my daughter and an hour later a couple began heavily making out for 5+ minutes in the pool while their friends, 6 of their kids (7-10), as while as my daughter (6) watched in disgust while I had to explain to my daughter that they are behaving extremely bad and disgusting

Thankfully only the couple left to their room however they came back within the hour and began making out again I had to leave with my daughter to avoid her watching something so inappropriate I notified the front desk who only asked them to go to their rooms instead of being removed from the hotel Pretty horrible experience and will not return for fear of other disgusting guests

Very nice and affordable place to stay I will def be booking this location again It’s right off the freeway with restaurants, gas stations and even groceries and a pharmacy all within 1/4 mile

The area is very upscale and safe The pool gets cleaned daily and the staff is so very nice Breakfast options were plentiful and they had a staff of 2-3 every morning restocking and cleaning the breakfast area (Make sure to tip them! There’s a tip jar) They even have a bar in the back in it’s own building and parking lot you can go and grab a drink and some finger foods at night I think they close at 2am We really enjoyed our stay here Make sure to also tip your room service!

Fernando Fong

The front desk lady couldn’t even find my reservation even when I had a confirmation number and an email she said that I reserved through a third party (Tripcom) and the reservation was under my mother’s name and I was the one who made it and pay for it The carpet of the room was so dirty, and the toilet was not even working right, I had to flush it like five times to make it to work

When I requested another room she gave me the keys of another room and they were not even working So I had to go back and forth like three times to change keys and none were working The lady was not helping at all and she had a bad attitude she made me wait for long time in the lobby At this point I didn’t want to stay in that hotel anymore because I was with my mother, she is 61 and she needs a special service so I requested cancellation of the room and a refund she said that I reserved it through a third party(Tripcom) and she couldn’t do anything because she didn’t know what I had pay for So she denied a refund I had to call the corporation office to solve the problem and she acted like she was talking to her manager When I requested to talk to her manager she said she was talking to her boyfriend Obviously I got upset and I just asked to respect my rights as a customer, because I had already paid She didn’t care that I had my mother with me and she kicked me out the hotel with my sick mother and she called the police on me like I was a criminal Also I had to pay a $50 deposit She said she was going to give me the money back As today , I only got the refund from Tripcom, and that was because I had to call them to complain Also I recorded a video of the keys not working so you can see that I’m not lying As today, I’m still waiting for the refund of the $50 deposit that I had paid Please take action about this poor customer service and help me get my $50 back that I paid (deposit) because I didn’t even stay in the hotel Thank you Fernando

Christina Eilers

A bit more affordable than surrounding hotels, depending when you make your reservation Very close to the hospital my sister was staying, within walking distance There’s a bus or trolley stop in the side street but not aware of hours of operation

There are restaurants nearby, a medium size shopping mall Very conveniently located Staff at breakfast very helpful, food’s good!

Nice hotel with so much potential When I first walked in and saw the layout I was amazed Rooms were clean and sanitized

Front desk staff were friendly and professional Parking can be a little tight, so use the parking structure next to the hotel The restaurant inside the hotel has a small menu for the evening crowd, however the service is extremely lacking I would like to give Crystal a big shout out of gratitude for guest first service attitude Thanks Crystal

Mother’s day brunch

My husband and I went to the Christmas buffet back in 2017 It was delicious with plenty of food! When the buffet re-opened after covid, we brought 2 other couples to your Mothers day brunch on 5/8/22 We were so disappointed Not only was the food supply low in the dishes, it wasn’t the quality we had had in the past All main dishes were only a quarter way full Our waitress, although friendly and trying to be helpful, you could tell they were seriously understaffed The desert table was sloppy and ran out of different items without being refilled Your famous cookies were delicious although for a 2 pm seating, we had to wait till 3:30 for them to be served We had to wait over a half hour for the bacon and sausage to be refilled and even then, it was rubbery Sad experience for $3995 per person Never again

Valerie Gulsby

Service was really amazing, some of the nicest staff I’ve ever engaged with I loved all the Amenities Bar, Restaurant etc Hotel however does need a lot of upgrades

Outside of the pool smelled fishy and near the bar it smelled like a backed up Sewage line most of the elevators were out and stain’s on the carpet was a little unpleasant Overall because of the such great service I give it a thumbs up

Sunken Shipwreck

My wife and I stayed here in June of 2021 for a funeral Spacious clean rooms, with a modern touch on the insideLots of tile

Hotel needs to hire more staff, but that would increase prices I prefer low price, so you just have to be patientThe water taste like it has lots of iron or rust But that might be the local water supply in Donna ? Travellers should always filter any tap-water that they drink, so that is not the motels faultIf you are lucky, you can see your car through the peep-hole in the doorNice picnic area out backI will stay here on all my future trips to south TexasShowerhead needs to be upgraded

It was horrible the room was out of date it smelled gross there were stains on the furniture and on the walls The water for the shower didn’t feel right the ceiling fan looked like it was gonna fall on me the refrigerator was stained on the inside the AC didn’t even work it was hot in the room it didn’t feel safe staying there the only good thing was the tv and the pool

Lucky&Barbie Ramos

Very rude lady in the front Went to stay because there was an outage, turns out that their lights went out too! We had only been at the motel for 4 hrs in when the lights went out

Went to the front to ask for our $ back since it had only been a few hrs We told the lady “can we have our $ back , we have kids & a new born ,we want to go to a different hotel” she had the audacity to say “I don’t care if you have kids that’s not my fault if you want to call the cops go ahead” then closed the window!!To top it all off I had seen a rat running across the room right before the lights went off 🤮 don’t recommend at all!

I booked a last minute stay through Expedia and quickly figured out that I accidentally booked a hotel 3 hours away which was obviously my fault I called the hotel, no answerShortly after booking, I arrived at the hotel I THOUGHT I had booked, and tried to switch the booking to that location, which was denied, even though they had vacancy

Once I was declined, I called Expedia in an attempt to get at least some part of my money back, as I had no intention of paying for a second room After waiting 2 days, this request was deniedI will never be booking at Super 8 again, and from the looks of the hotel I saw, they probably did me a favor by avoiding bed bugs Although the mistake was clearly mine, I called promptly (within ten minutes) to cancel the booking in hopes that they would understand the accident Bad business practice in my opinion

Good location Comfortable room Very helpful staff

Our only dislike was that this hotel cleans rooms only every 3 days and when we got service on the third day, all they did was drop off fresh towels; would have liked the bed remade, bathroom cleaned, and wastebaskets emptied In fairness, the hotel staff was very willing to provide towels and supplies upon request

Our first room did not have hot water however second room is almost worst as there is black mold on the walls Luckily the windows open here but even with that said mold is just unacceptable Staff is great breakfast was amazing! Wish I could haven’t given five stars because the people actually working here do a wonderful job

Maybe the one star will get the owners attention and they’ll put some money into fixing the issues

When arriving to my room we noticed there was old blood on the curtains I called down to the front desk to inform them and was told their were no more rooms so I would have to deal with it After un packing and trying to settle in I then noticed there was no remote so I contacted the front desk and was told they had no remotes because someone was stealing

So never received a remote Being that there was nothing to do I decided to just go to bed and when I then pulled the blanket back there was old blood on the comforter I then called the front desk again and all I was asked was did I want another blanket Very unsanitary Luckily we had to beds so I just took the comforter off the other bed I tried to call again and ask for the manger to let them know what was going on and got nowhere with them either I was just told he was unaware of the situation Not a good stay at all!
