Patrick Lang

Very convenient location for access to downtown and a few great, very close-by restaurants and barsHowever, agree with others on horrendous service Front desk staff are frankly combative and seemed to take pleasure in denying reservations

A weird culture of trying to make the travel experience as miserable as possible Had to ultimately contact third party booking site, who then got in touch directly with hotel, to get pre-paid booking honored Quite an ordeal One day, the staff also failed to alert guests of adjoining road closures until the day of, when parked cars became inaccessible for several hours Manager completely unapologetic regarding all of thisRooms are good, price is fair for area, safe neighborhoodBottom line: do not recommend, will not stay again

Suzie Jacob

Location is great, walking distance from restaurants and bars The room was fine, pretty standard Service however was terrible: checking in was an ordeal, with bad attitude from the receptionist

Room service is only provided if specifically requested We were also not informed of a road closure, with signs posted on elevators the day of – for a closure starting at 10am and lasting the whole morning! Had to figure out myself where to temporarily relocate the car, as the receptionist seemed very unconcerned and didn’t provide any help Would not recommend

Really enjoyed staying at the State House Inn The building is really charming as is the decor! There are reviews that talk about needing updates and I don’t agree The building is a historic building and from everything I saw was very well maintained

Our room was clean and we had everything we needed We stayed in the Queen Mary room and enjoyed it The bed was comfy and loved the soft robes provided in the roomOur check-in was easy and the lady working was very accommodating as our flights arrived way before the normal check-in time They worked hard to get the rooms prepared ahead of normal check-inWe plan on returning to explore Annapolis more and will be staying at this location again

Heather Enriquez

The room was clean and the staff incredibly friendly I’m docking a star for two reasons: we stayed in the room overlooking the main drag, and it was pretty noisy, and there were definitely a few things in the room that need some attention The Jacuzzi tub didn’t work, and other minor repairs would have definitely improved the experience

Generally, the room was clean and comfortable

Loren Watts

The State House Inn was just what my husband and I were looking for Its location made it perfect for walking to all of the local shops and restaurants The room had a great view of the State House and a view of Main Street

The staff was very friendly and made sure that all of our needs were metWhen we visited, it was in the mid to high 90s the whole time so we were thankful for the very reliable airconditioning unit that our room had The location made it easy to explore downtown and then return to our room for a break and to cool offThe only issue we ran into was the shower temperature It would change from hot to cold and then to warm again on its own I did keep in mind that it is a small house with several rooms and other guests showering so it could just be a timing issue of when everyone is showering However, we came to see Annapolis and not waste time showering so it worked out 🙂

I was disappointed because I requested a ground floor 2 bedroom suite over two weeks ago, because I had my 101 year old aunt with me I had to get a 2 bedroom suite upstairs and that meat my 101 year old aunt had to climb all 15 + steps She did it but it was bit much for her

They offered me two studios on the first floor to separate us but I told her noAfter I took the suite upstairs my vacation went wellThis place is very nice, just wished they were more accommodating for older adults especially if you requested the accommodations ahead of timeBreakfast was delicious Room was great, beds were very comfortable

Positives: The studio suite was very spacious with a comfortable sofa, large working table, and nice dining area It is well equipped with cooking utensils and a nice kitchen You can cook comfortably if you want

The room is large enough for a group of four Even though the breakfast options are limited, you can take your food to your room to eat later Brown envelopes and foil wraps provided make it easy to do soNegatives: The toilet was clogged, when I called to report it and I was asked to come and pick a plunger from the front desk to fix it myself! How awful Housekeeping is not everyday The towels and bedsheet are rough and old It would have been better if the sheets were ironed There was a thick cobweb by the entrance of the studio suit I stayed in Cleaning is not properly done Breakfast options limited

My second stay at Flag House Inn was another great success I had such a wonderful experience for a short weekend stay that I booked a follow-up visit one week later Marty and Carmel work closely with their guests to assure all your needs are met

Breakfasts are special as they put extra effort into preparing something different and memorable each morning Of course, if you don’t want one of their fancy breakfast preparations, they will make something specific to your needs or taste (I opted for their special preparations each time and it was fantastic Marty explains to everyone how he prepared it and what inspired him – oftentimes he obtained the recipe through his own domestic and international travel experiences) The Flag House is situated in a quiet location on the street away from busy, noisy corner locations and intersections I’ve stayed at other Annapolis inns located on corners where noise from cars and pedestrian foot traffic can interrupt your sleep There are no such problems at Flag House where you will slumber comfortably Another great aspect of Flag House Inn is their Guest Parking You have an assigned parking space for the duration of your stay with ample space for your SUV or mini-van Flag House has a lot of space on-site, so all guests with cars have easy in, easy out parking benefits at no extra charge

Lindo C-M

Our stay at the Flag House Inn B&B was perfect for our anniversary Marty and Carmel were excellent hosts who were very helpful when it came to both accommodations and concierge information about sights to see Marty took the time to show us all the hotspots on a local map and even went as far as to book us a VIP table at a local restaurant on the water to celebrate our anniversary

Room was bright and comfortable, with modern amenities The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure with consistent temperatures Having a reading library bookshelf was a nice touch for reading a book while relaxingThe home itself was very quaint and located close to public transportation and the Naval Academy grounds It also had a nice front porch to sit and enjoy cool summer evenings The breakfast area was nice, bright and comfortable for meals while meeting the other guests The breakfasts were very good and unique, perfect for starting the day exploring the local areaParking was tight for our SUV but adequate; given the location we did not need to use our vehicle the entire weekend We were able to utilize water taxis and walking around to see most sitesWe are already planning our next visit to this perfect B&B for exploring all that Annapolis has to offer

EJ Ghahreman

The Host, Marty and Carmel, are warm, inviting, accommodating, and helpful Our room was well appointed, beautiful, comfortable, and clean I am already excited to stay there again with my family

Our teenagers felt comfortable, happy, and independent Circumstances beyond our Hosts control made our trip eventful but they were extra accommodating and understanding The location of the Inn is excellent and easily walkable to charming Annapolis sites The Flag House Inn is an excellent establishment

First off the app allowed me the option to quickly check in and checkout I loved the digital key feature on the app which allowed me to unlock the room door The hotel lobby was clean, the staff was friendly and the rooms were very nice

The room had hanging curtains that allowed you the option to divide the room The room had a kitchen with a standard size refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, large microwave, dishes and utensils You could even request a hot plate burner at the front desk if you wanted to cook I will definitely stay at the Home2 Suites by Hilton again

Kevin Monaghan

We cancelled a stay at another area location and chose this one instead The rooms are clean and comfortable and we experienced the front desk staff to be friendly and engaging Joy, in particular, is a true blessing and went above and beyond what could be reasonably expected at check-in to resolve a separate issue for us

She is terrific Travelling with a pet for the first time, we found this easy and convenient and the hotel is remarkably quiet, given it’s pet friendly policy Will definitely be back

Luke K

Amazing hotel with a great staff! The breakfast bar was always well stocked Rooms were spotless The rooms are well thought out – all of them have a fridge, microwave, and dishwasher

Our stay at The Annapolis Inn was a delight Getting to know its owners, Joe and Alex, was the high point of our Annapolis experience In addition to their gracious hospitality throughout our stay, we appreciated the Inn’s elegant surroundings

A tasty breakfast each morning, accompanied by lively conversation, created lasting memories The personal attention by the owners to the needs of their guests, and the Inn’s perfect location, enabled us to experience the best this charming seaport town has to offer, despite our mere two-night stay Lastly, the hosts are Academy Sponsors for selected midshipmen Encountering these future naval leaders in a home environment was an unexpected treat We look forward to many return visits for all the above reasons

I booked a surprise weekend for hubby and I to get away The Inn at Horn Point is on a quiet residential street with parking right in front of the Inn It was beautifully decorated in general but more so for Christmas

The Owners, Cory and Carol were knowledgeable about area restaurants, attractions and made reservations for us The Inn is within walking distance to everything and was a welcome change instead of having to drive We really enjoyed the down time Breakfast was great and they accommodated my vegan dietary restrictions and allergies The Sequoia room was nice especially with the fireplace Thanks Cory and Carol for a great weekend

Diane Pizzano

The Inn at Horn Point was a fabulous experience for us Cory provided excellent personalized service including dinner recommendations and advice about the local area, customized breakfast service, and other useful information The Inn is an intimate setting in a quiet residential area with free parking

The inn is within a 5 minute walk to water views and restaurants, and the commercial area of downtown Annapolis is about a 10-12 minute walk

My room has not disappointed I reserved a room with a jacuzzi in it and the room is very roomy with a comfortable sofa and a nice little area with a fridge and microwave The disappointing part is the lack of cutlery and dishware

There are paper plates and plastic utensils which is better than all of the suites I have stayed in for the past 2 yearsMy favorite aspect is the very large walk in closet I absolutely love thisCost is very reasonable for a room as clean and spacious as this one I would definitely stay here again!

Carolyn Lilly

This was my 1st time staying here I was attending a concert, didn’t want to drive on due to late hour

Beautiful hotel, awesome suite w/ very comfortable beds I slept like a baby😂Love the living & kitchen area Due to the late hour, we couldn’t be seated in a restaurant We had to do take out, so the kitchen area was very helpful Next morning before check out the complementary breakfast was very good 😋

The check in process is very quick and efficient Once I realized that I forgot to request wheelchair accessible room for my mother, they quickly change the room for us and meet us at the door to swap keys The room is clean, the A/C is not too loud, and the water pressure is great

The only downside is that the TV is rather small compared to other Hilton hotels imo

Jane Horton

Posting a review just to sing the praises of the lady who was working in the breakfast area on Saturday 4th June Didn’t get her name but she had long black and green hair And she was possibly the best person we have ever encountered working in the hospitality industry

She was super polite, nothing was too much trouble Such a nice person

Lauren

This was a last minute booking for the holiday weekend but overall this is not a hotel I’d recommend in the area Closer to 2 stars They left a completely untrained person at the front desk ALONE for check-in during Memorial Day weekend

She wasn’t comfortable enough to get the rooms in Line out the door Certainly couldn’t figure out late check in Room smelled like cigarettes and the toilet stopped worked several times The next day we called several times to request late checkout and no one at hotel picked up When I went and found the manager, Kristy, and asked for late checkout was told no I Asked if we could pay an additional fee for the extra hour Was told that she’d call the police and have us forcibly removed? What kind of reaction or customer service is this? Spend a little extra and stay at a different property

It’s a decent and affordable hotel, not the caliber that would be my first preference however Rooms were clean, staff was professional Ashanti was exceptional! Our couches had stains, no big deal

They accommodated us when our AC unit was broken Continental breakfast, beautiful lobby Why three stars? Called our last night to simply request if it was possible for a late checkout Carl, the night attendant responds, “No” and after a brief silence says “no, no, no we are already booked, no” as though I was being scolded and he was aggravated about receiving the same request from other guests Poor customer service and soft skills When I was asked to sign a contract at check-in promising no parties and loud music and given a parking permit stating take all valuables out the car, that told me all I needed to know about the environment, the people that stay there and what staff has to deal with Nevertheless, that doesn’t exonerate staff from treating guests like second class nuances Do better Carl

Michelle

Long but thorough!…Staff: EXCELLENT WonderfulCustomer Service Honestly best staff experience I’ve ever had…and I’ve stayed at lots of hotels, some very high end

They go above and beyond, even for my kids! So friendly!Breakfast: FABULOUS spread Had sausage, was only lacking bacon 😂 tons of choices and on the go options too Not skimping with generics, either EGGS MADE WITH CHEESE…Need I say more?!Room: No complaints about cleanliness; AC DEF WORKS! 😉 Housekeeping is nice, helpful and efficient when needed Comfy bed and pillows! And of course, the suite factor with a sectioned off living space + kitchenette is clutchPool & hot tub: Fine, does the trick Could use more seating and keeping up with stock of available “pooltowels” on a shelving unit, but that’s ok Can get loud, but that’s to be expected if an indoor poolFree (soft) chocolate chip cookies at the front desk, GOOD COFFEE always hot and available, easy parking… what else can I say?PS “The Green Turtle Bar & Grill” is an easy, short walk and fantastic food! Menu and food quality much better than any typical sports bar!

Deborah Sanchez

So my family and I needed a 2 night stay the price was more than I’d like but it was a weekend so 340 is about average The room was accommodating but there were plenty of noticeable stains on the mattresses and sheets

There is a complimentary breakfast but the Waffles were all burnt and stuck together in the plastic The milk was going bad because it was being held at a warmer temp than it should’ve been There was visible mold in the bathroom and due to lack of staff, we couldn’t get an extra blanket or pillow until the morning Our room had a pullout sofa with no dressings Not the worst hotel experience but Def could use some improvements The staff that was there was pleasant at check in and during the interim The manager did make a point to come up to check the toilet which wasn’t flushing so that was a plus I’d come back for the sake of convenience

Perfect wedding venue! We were able to host a fantastic wedding weekend at the newly renovated Kent Manor Resort! The staff helped us plan a very special wedding … even though we were working long distance through a pandemic! We were able to have family and the wedding party stay at the manor, to host several events, and to enjoy the bucolic setting! Guests commented on the beautiful manor, and loved the newly constructed Farmstead! Staff were friendly and accommodating, easily ironing out any wrinkles that popped up! The bridal party enjoyed a fantastic lunch and the reception menu was stellar! The chef delivered delicious food, as expected! Our special event couldn’t have been any lovelier!R

This is a beautiful house with friendly staff! My husband and I were looking for a nice place to relax and getaway We loved going into town which has some great shops and restaurants Recommend eating at Amalfi for great Italian cuisine and wine

We also enjoyed the kayaks and poolThings we didn’t enjoy were being right next to the exterior door Every time the door opens it’s loud and wakes you up (people were coming in/out till 12:00am) There were also extremely loud guests from a wedding that weekend that were yelling/laughing down the hallway all hours of the night I did not sleep well the 2 nights we were here If you are on the 1st floor you can hear guests above you walking around and talkingGreat house and staff just inconsiderate guests

Today was a year I planned my wedding here, what a experience, I cried the day of my wedding no one deserves that for what is supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, I chose this place because I had a dream about my wedding in front of the water but it was a nightmare in the end, my ceremony got moved to a tent they use a day before were you could see all the chairs and tables that were used for a previous event And the worst part is that they didn’t contact me for this changeCommunication was bad, The only time it was good is when they wanted their money

Wedding coordination gave me more stress asking for everything in the last minuteIt was a year ago and I hope they have improved their service and if you are planing your wedding there record everything just in case when they say they have everything handled and at the end they’re just winging it it’s not worth it Last but not least the flies are horrible everything got covered in flies like a horror film

We absolutely loved our stay in the king room with a balcony! From initially checking in, where the front desk associate (Nick) was incredibly kind and gave us detailed recommendations and walking directions for various activities and food, to the room itself, we were incredibly pleased The decor made the hotel room feel so fun, and our bed was very comfortable Plus, the balcony was spacious and felt quite private

Location was easily walkable to all of Annapolis, even with our baby! Definitely worth the slightly higher expense than a standard hotel We will be back!

An absolutely perfect place to stay New, clean, roomy and beautifully designed, with amazing attention to detail – crab wallpaper, room keys styled as students’ cards, etc very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff

Convenient parking (both valet and self-parking available) Nice gym and cafe on the property Walking distance to everything downtown Could not have been happier with our choice!

I hate to write bad reviews, but when I’m paying $500/night for a hotel, I expect some level of cleanliness Unfortunately, that was not the case during my stay The room was dark and dirty

The lobby and restaurant had cockroaches crawling around My party had to call out the roaches to the front desk multiple times before they did anything about it The hotel decor is super cute, but if you look closely, it’s a filthy hotel I’d rather stay at a best western for a fraction of the cost Needless to say, I will never be staying here ever againUpdate: the hotel did reach out after I posted this review Kudos to them on that part However, when the manager accused me of lying about seeing cockroaches in the lobby, instead of just checking with the front desk person on duty that night (or security footage), it’s really not a good look Sorry for telling the truth about my stay, but it happened… good riddance

Very nice establishment! Customer service is spot on Everyone was friendly The staff & management was very accommodating to my disabled son who relocated back to the area to take care of his health and this made him feel so welcomed that it encouraged him to want to be more social and do physical activities that he hadn’t done since he came out of rehab over a year ago

The beds are comfortable, the room was spacious Although we weren’t fortunate enough to get one of the handicap accessible rooms, it still allowed plenty of room for a wheelchair to be wheeled around in and in and out of the doors that were wide enough

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend Not clean at all The only thing we enjoyed was the pool

Our first room had hair in the linen I was told housekeeping was gone for the evening So they switched our room The manager Dexter gave us 5,000 points and a Marriott membershipAfter taking down all the party decorations and packing we moved into our new room Just to encounter the same problem and worse Not only was there hair in the bed But the sink was clogged The pull out couch where I had planned on sleeping was severely stained The carpet had white spots as wellI made the front desk aware and even emailed pictures and videos Yes I booked through a third party Everyone made it clear by reminding me repeatedly However, that’s no excuse to treat a expecting mom with three other little children present I did not sleep well With four people cramped up in a king size bed Completely unacceptable!

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay The hotel was very clean and looked new We were greeted by Aesha

Her customer service was exceptional She was very friendly and honored our early check in request Our room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated Parking is convenient We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future

Aiden Parman

Nice rooms for the price, great location to downtown Keep in mind there is much more rooms then there are parking spaces; they also let anyone park in it So if you plan on going anywhere after 3pm, you need to walk

The parking garage is very difficult to maneuver when full There is a parking garage a few blocks away, it is also half the price then parking at the hotel

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Best Western Annapolis Upon arrival, the motel appeared to be pretty old from the architecture, and was set back along the highway and busy main street, but was very well maintained and absolutely spotless! We were also very happy that you could barley hear the road noise, and we were on the end of the 2 story building closest to the highway Upon check in, we were provided with a welcome bag that included a breakfast bar, bag of chips, bag of popcorn, and bottle of water

Toiletries, as well as a coffee maker and coffee, ironing board, refrigerator and microwave was available in our room The front desk staff were quick to resolve the one minor issue we had The check in and breakfast area were absolutely spotless, and the breakfast area staff was very attentive as well, on both days we were there Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, turkey patties, bacon, omelets, oatmeal, cereals, bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, milk, mixed fruit, fresh fruit, and juices Overall, the entire motel looks as though it was entirely remodeled, including the pool area, right down to the flooring The location of the motel sits back from the main road where a lot of shopping and restaurants are located and has easy access to the downtown historic Annapolis (about a 15 minute drive) and the surrounding area Would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again if the need arises

Kendra Bruner

I would have rated higher The beds were comfortable and it was clean HOWEVER, at 5:30 am there was a ringing alarm coming from the room next door

We called the front desk, they said they would figure it out An hour went by so we went for breakfast, when we asked the front desk he said he was, “too busy” to handle it at 6:30 in the morning The high pitch ringing never stopped Extremely disappointed in the customer service and hospitality

Mary Habana

A man walking around with knife in his hand at 10-11 pm at people outside looking but nothing is done the man was clearly staring at my sister a few times again no one call the police and actually says don’t call the police, I go tell front desk to move my room closer to my husband room so I feel a bit more safer front desk said no with a attitude and did not care about the man walking all through the parking lot with a knifeBut yet everyone called the cops for kids playing in pool because everyone said it was to much noise, NOT KIDS RRIENDLY PLACE OR SAFE PLACE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE

Not the biggest room, but a very charming hotel, right where you want to be in Annapolis! Steps away from shops and restaurants, with a lovely veranda to enjoy watching your surroundings We found our room to be charming, and appointed with period furnishings Unusual for most hotel rooms, we had three windows with nice views! Our room was a bit small for today’s standards, but we were more interested in charm and atmosphere

We truly enjoyed our stay!

Gabby Hirst

We expected a charming historic, musky, small room in a great location Maryland Inn delivered on those points but added a few features, not in a positive wayUpon checking in, we waited 30 minutes for the valet

When we stepped into the room (1301), we thought our eyes were playing tricks on us The middle on the room was concave by about 3 inches; this was quite strange We put a full water bottle on one side of the room, and watched it roll to the center Looking up wasn’t much better, with severe stress cracks in the ceiling (above the bed) So noticeable, it had us worried about the structural integrity of our room and the room above us My husband went to take off his shoes, looked down at the floor, to find a long needle (like a garmet or sewing needle) about 2-3 inches long along with a paper clip Wouldn’t have bothered me except the room itself had clearly not been cleaned well Dust caked on the TV unit and bathroom shelves The bathroom had the remnants of a towel bar, the ends were still mounted to the wall but no bar present as if it had been ripped or fell off at some point We checked in late so we stayed the night Next day, we called the front desk for our car and explained the room was unacceptable and that we would need to check out Front desk gentleman said we would be refunded and that he was unaware of the state of the room We left, and were still charged for both nights I waited a few days to see if they would credit us the one night After not seeing the credit, I reached out to their reservations team for support I have now tried on 3 occasions to contact then with absolutely no response Now I am disputing the claim on my cardIt’s extremely unfortunate how their staff has chosen to handle this event One small unlikable experience, easily corrected with an apology and a credit Instead, a customer is being ignored and disrespected

Overall, the hotel was fine but below standard for what I expect from a Marriott The pool is still closed “due to COVID” There is no indication of this anywhere and the lights in the pool house are on, resulting in very disappointed children

Our air conditioning did not work and our room did not lock There were also ants in our room and our shower head dripped nonstop Breakfast was great with a ton of variety and apart from the ants, the room was super clean and the beds were comfy

Matthew Peregoy

Booked a room here before an early flight Good location near Arundel Mills Mall and Live Casino but only 12 min from long term parking They have a shuttle if needed

They upgraded our room, which was nice; however, we requested feather-free through their website when booking and had feather pillows in the room, not foam We even asked at the desk at check in and they said the room would have both feather and non feather pillows It did not

O. Reua

Nice hotel and has a short commute to grocery stories like Walmart and Giant Very close to the Arundel Mills if you want to go a do some shopping and 13 minutes away from base The casino is nearby as well as many restaurants and fast food places if you are hungry

The staff is friendly and are prompt if you have an issue with anything They offer free laundry with detergent at an expense unless you bring your own I came here before the previous hotel I stayed in that was dirty and had mold I am recommending this to others!
