Not impressed for the price point They have construction on going, no pool, no weight room but that did not effect our stay The room was overpriced in my opinion

The AC/Heater had no wall mounted thermostat, so I was half expecting Tom Bodett to jump out and turn the light on for us The water was not hot enough for a decent shower I did not stand in the shower and waste time, but it was barely luke warm bordering on cold by the 2 minute mark That did however wake me up Breakfast is always expected to be iffy, but the selection was sparce For over a buck fifty we expected a little more At least the waffles, maybe my expectations are too high The bed was firm and that is ok for some, and I am not dinging them for that When I requested an extra blanket from the front desk, the customer service worker looked at me like I had two heads I am fairly certain they were as shocked that I asked, as I was that they do not but give you one, when asked Hell, most of the hotels have them in the rooms either a closet or dresser drawer The room was clean, the staff was nice, and it was quite for the most part Again, the cost for what is offered is my main complaint

At check-in I was greeted warmly and it was a fast and easy experience The room was clean and the bed was comfortable The pool was 86 degrees and 3-5 ft which was perfect to relax in

The breakfast was better than typical so I highly recommend starting here The attendant working the food area was extraordinary and she deserves high praise

karen fridley

The staff is extremely polite and professional We found the room clean The indoor pool exceeded our expectationsThe breakfast is not the usual breakfast, they have a variety of food to select from

We will definitely stay there again

Gregg Robinson

Our room was very dated The carpeting in the middle of the living area floor was thread bare The air-conditioner was so noisy that it woke us up every time the compresser started

Sounded like a bad bearing The valve in the bath tub that starts the shower was so crusty was hard water residue, that it was hard to use We’ll never use this hotel again The staff were friendly and helpful

Staff was great upon entrance and exit, very accommodating The room was extremely clean, new & updated The temperature in the room was easy to control and worked great

The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and soft The breakfast was wonderful Nice looking pool, though I didn’t go inSome things that weren’t ideal but didn’t affect how many stars I felt I should give due to overall experience:The fitness center is a tiny box of a room with little equipmentThe guests were all assigned rooms very close to each other so you could hear guest talking, doors closing, and alarms/wake up calls going off early in the morning through the wallsOverall my stay was very comfortable

Georgiana Mejia-Klem

Great experience overall! Kim, the general manager, was super helpful and went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional She upgraded our room due to the larger group size, recommended nearby restaurants and activities to do plus helped us enlist in the IHG rewards system The breakfast exceeded our expectations too

The only reason why we aren’t giving our stay a 5 star experience is because during our 3 day trip, our room wasn’t cleaned even when we requested this Fresh towels and trash takeout was provided every day Overall, it was a nice stay! Thank you Kim and the dinning team 🙂

Really bad experience all around We booked this hotel for a wedding weekend and spent thousands of dollars here Got to the hotel at 5pm and the room was not ready and had to wait in my car the night before my wedding for half an hour for them to get a room ready for me

The woman at the front desk and a manager that was there at the time did try to help and speed things along which I appreciatedThe hotel recommended a suite to get ready in the day of and the photos shown at booking did not look anything like the rooms we were given and were really small and crampedWe booked a conference room to use as a hospitality room from 11pm to 2am after our wedding ended but were told the night before our wedding that we could no longer use the room for that time They instead referred us to the hotel next door (which was actually really nice and the bartender there was really kind and helpful)Our entire wedding party was supposed to have a late checkout the day after the wedding but we were greeted with an angry and rude phone call from someone named Ashley at 11:15 saying we needed to leave and that our late checkout was no longer being honored Even after explaining to her that we booked a block for a wedding and had a 1pm checkout, she was still incredibly rude and insinuated that we were lying We spoke with other members of the bridal party as we were leaving that had even called the night before to make sure they still had a late checkout that were told yes, but they were also called and later told they no longer had a late checkoutIf you are thinking of using this hotel for a wedding block, definitely look elsewhere This was such an unorganized experience and caused us so much unneeded stress

I took my grandkids to the football hall of fame and stayed at the Hampton The staff was incredibly kind and helpful Gloria at the front desk booked us the perfect spacious room

She also hooked us up with reduced price tickets to the hall of fame Dani who takes care of the complimentary breakfast area was so kind telling my grandkids what they could expect on their hall of fame visit and got them so excited Also she did a wonderful job keeping the buffet full Very very happy

Kellie Ashcraft

We had an excellent experience with the hotel! It was our first hotel stay with our 12 week-old puppy, and the staff accommodated our having a room on the first floor to get outside easily with our pup The breakfast was comprehensive and delicious, and the staff were extraordinarily warm and supportive of us and our pup! We recommend this hotel highly!

Marla Reed

They staff were great! Room was very clean Breakfast each morning was nice, there was a nice variety of choices Our only negative, the pillows were very small at least for adults but the were fine for sitting up against the headboard

For what we paid, this hotel was excellent Clean, nice, and the continental breakfast was what I would have expected pre COVID Plus, being pet friendly was a great bonus since we were traveling with 2 dogs

It really was the little things, like that their clean up stations outside weee actually stocked with bags, unlike so many places I’ve been!

Joe

Very nice place and friendly staff Didn’t get the chance to check them out but they have a lot of onsite amenities which look easily enjoyable Literally only bad thing is they don’t have sat/premium cable

Basic local all you get I’m not much of a TV person so I got just a few channels I actually watch(which are premium channels through most providers)

Tracie Saunders

Beautiful, bright, and warm lobby The bar and breakfast area was neat and clean Our room was immaculate

Very roomy but the water pressure was very low and the tub didn’t drain very well We’d stand in about an inch of waterThey had a nice spread for breakfast There was eggs, bacon, cereal, waffles, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, boiled eggs They provided juices, coffee, milk, and water and tea Unfortunately there was only 1 poor girl trying to keep everything full while also tending the desk It was busy in the breakfast area so the food kept needing refilled and we had to wait But she worked very hard! They were kind enough to let us keep our luggage there after checkout We had a basketball tournament nearby to attend and we had caught a ride with friends to it So they allowed us to store our luggage there We will definitely return and use this place again when we have to return to townOne last thing, their pool and exercise room are both open and clean!

Staff was friendly Pool was honestly gross We booked this place to let our kiddos swim for spring break and there was hair all in the pool

It looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time There was also clumps of hair around the pool on the floorOur room had a pull out couch and came with no sheets or blankets for it None on it and nothing in the closet in the room The room only came with two bath towels so we had to ask for more- not a huge deal, but inconvenient nonetheless The end tables, lamps, and TV stands were all so dusty- again, looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in awhile The toilet paper roll was stamped with like a seal but the amount of paper on the roll was about 4 squares- why not put a brand new roll on when its that low?Just a lot of things that were extremely disappointing- we won’t be back Susan at the front desk was wonderful

Laurie Appelbaum

We stayed at the Cambria from July 13th -16th The staff at this hotel is one of the best I have ever come across and I traveled 20 years prior to retiring! Very professional and very nice Our room was very clean and the location was good

Two things that I feel the hotel could do to improve: The mattress on the bed was very old It was saggy and very soft It was the kind of mattress that sags in the middle when you roll over The furniture in the room is due for an update It was well worn

Abby barnard

I had to stay here for work It was horrible The photos shows a chair in my room, absolutely disgusting

There was dried blood (I assume) on the door walls in the bathroom My room was super hot without giving me the option to turn the air on In the photo you see I had it on 65 but felt like 72 That was the lowest it would go My blow dryer was broken and I ended up almost being late for work waiting for a new one The breakfast that they charge $10 for has half of what normally is free at any other hotel This hotel is close to my work office and was booked for me, but not a clean or well working place at all

I normally enjoy the Hampton Inns The room was nice and clean The problem was part of a wedding party was partying until at least 3am

We eventually fell asleep from sheer exhaustionThe hotel staff attempted to stop them but they were blown off Given the alcohol and marijuana (it was that strong we could smell it in the hall) they should have contacted the police to put an end to this party I had kids with me!Found out at breakfast we were not the only guests that were affected We were given a room rate refund but still, the next day was ruined with all of us being tired and groggy

Always a nice hotel, but this time we planned a staycation with heavy pool time and we were surprised to see so little poolside furniture available Large gaps across the pool deck made lounges a rare commodityThe pool is very popular with guests so I can imagine we weren’t the only ones who were disappointed

Only one table umbrella for the whole pool area was also a missHope to see some improvement We’d love to come back

DC ROWE

We reserved a DELUXE Double room that was so small we (2 small woman) had to put one of our suitcases on the refrigerator in order to walk around the room We chose this hotel because the weather was snowy/windy and cold and the Website indicated a restaurant, Beau Grill, in the Hotel WELL! The Beau Grill is NOT OPEN 7 days a week and was CLOSED on Monday so we had to travel out in bad weather to get Dinner!! I would NOT recommend this Hotel if you are expecting a HILTON Hotel experience

it was closer to Hotel 6

Frank

The hotel itself was nice, but I was upset that almost all the electric vehicle parking spots were occupied by ICE vehicles This was one of the main reasons why I picked this hotel, to charge during the night, and luckily I was able to take the last spot In the future I’d like to see better monitoring of these electric vehicle spots for EV’s, rather than internal combustion engine vehicles, and an increased number of J-1772 chargers potentially in the back corner of the hotel to avoid ICE vehicles parking in them

No real complaints about this hotel I was surprised by the comfortable beds and how friendly the staff were The pool area and outside patio were exceptionally nice

Especially on summer nights The rooms were clean There is is the lack of housecleaning and blaming it on Covid and they will give you extra towels at the front desk The gym is something to be desired – the elliptical and bike made a horrible noise Leaving you only with the treadmill So there may be a waitOther than that it’s a nice facility

Amy DeKeyser

If you want a peaceful night’s sleep don’t stay here because the Bar and Restaurant next door will keep you up after midnight Even calling the front desk, they tell you it stops by11pm but it’s 11:50pm and it’s still too loud with a base The police department will tell you that the bar and restaurant may be exempt from the noise ordinance

and the music goes on til midnight Mold in the shower as wellFront desk claims they don’t have a room to switch us to on the other side of the hotel This is highly ridiculous!!!

Roy Murphy

Okay you say the water is city water that’s fine So I don’t know why the water smelled bad Go to that room and run the hot water in the sink And It will smell bad I feel my having to skip a shower my last night there because of the smelly water made my room not worth the high price I paid to stay there are all paying almost 200 dollars per night

This rate is not a cheap motel price and we should not have had this unusual problem but we’re did for sure even causing us to skip taking a shower out last night there in August 6 2022

I WOULDN’T GIVE THIS PLACE ONE STAR ZERO TO BE EXACT! Currently staying here and this has been my worst stay ever If I could upload pictures I would of how disgusting the bedsheets and pillows are

Had to notify the hotel of how bad the room was from our cell phone because the phone in the room does not work! When he came to our room he informed us that he would not sleep like that either and how he was unable to remove the nasty mattress case off the bed because he had no more I would not recommend this place to stay to anyone and if I wasn’t here for my son’s football game (here as a group) I WOULD BE GONE!!! To have travelled a long way and to not be comfortable is not a peace of mind I also reached out to guest relations of choice hotels and was told because we are here there is nothing they can do on top of the rooms being sold out Stains I mean huge stains not on one bed but on both beds in the room Huge stains on the pillows We had to literally remove the sheets and casing ourselves and I’m still uncomfortable and most of all annoyed by the lack of help and a solution Although the front desk guy wasn’t rude, the only thing he offered was to place a clean sheet over the nasty one and blamed housekeeping DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

James WFreedom

It was an ok stay The room was kind of small, the bathroom was, odd They were understaffed

The breakfast was just not great – the eggs tasted more like water than eggs The sausage was decent It was kind of messy Just over all an ok experience but not great, especially for the costGenerally I’m a fan of comfort inn just not this time

Brad Thurau

Too expensive for the condition of the rooms and the experience we had The rooms are in desperate need of maintenance Paint peeling, doors are splintered, and showers are sub standard

There was no customer service here except the great lady staffing the breakfast bar Twice I went to the front desk to get some issues resolved and twice the front desk was vacant

I was waiting to write a review because I have never had to write a review about a hotel living in one

for a month So I won’t do pros or cons Everyone is pretty nice there is some judgment but that’s life I am currently being kicked out My kids and I due to complaints from I assume other whiter or lighter guest My kids run from strangers because they don’t trust them Due to what we have been through To think I used to have a 3 bedroom double wide Now this is my realityour reality An I’m a nurse it is hard on everyone right now Kindness though only goes so far it seems Do you have anyone? Such a small question Yet a huge one when your trying to get stable again I am leaving this hotel with a great deal of questions A great deal of frustrationSo about the rooms Rooms are clean they do a great job breakfast is pretty great My room that we have been in 417 has water stains on the ceiling but nothing ever leaked This is not a bad place to stay Expensive but not a bad place to stay just becareful that not everyone who smiles in your face is your actual friend or on your side Should have known that though right?

We had a great time here, per usual It was our 4th trip and first since it transitioned management The park is expansive, plenty for families to do even on rainy days

My kids loved the gem mining and putt-putt I was impressed by the waterside staff and very responsive lifeguards during a very busy weekendWe were shocked to see that the entirety of the weekend though the shared bathrooms were seemingly completely unattended by staff Items left in showers from morning to night, filthy floors, wet toilet paper & other things on the floors This persisted all weekend The bathrooms are high traffic and really need more attention throughout the day We will still be back, but hoping that this improves!

Kendra Brickley

This is the 1st time I had ever been here My friend invited me and my 5 year old daughter to come and I was skeptical at first because I didn’t know if they’d have much for my daughter to do since she doesn’t know how to swim yet

but after spending the day thereI was pleasantly surprised! They have gem mining, mini golf, jumping pillows, canoeing/kayaking, bouncy houses, lots of inflatables, a splash pad (which my daughter LOVED) and of course they have the lake and a swimming pool and an awesome gift shop and lots of other cool stuff! And while in the lake, children are required to wear a life vest (the life jackets are provided free of cost) We all had a blast and willl definitely come again! Great place for the family and kids of all ages!

S L

We had a great time at the water park The space is huge and has lots of fun activities for your family Several things for the big kids and a smaller slide, swim area and splash pad for your little ones

The bounce pillow was fun Mini golf was fun The volleyball and basketball courts looked fun They have an awesome store for just about anything you might need or forget Today they had live music for the majority of the day They have a lower food place to grab food/ ice cream and an upper deck for the adults They have plenty of bathrooms Overall we had a nice time This place requires and offers life jackets

The rooms are a little small but they are awesome The staff is great and very friendly and helpful The restaurant has a very nice menu which I am happy since I didn’t have to drive anywhere the day closed confit egg rolls were good

And I enjoyed the Unami salmon The only bad thing is that service was too fast and rushed Would like to see them to slow down My main course came out about 5 minutes after I got my egg rollsThe hotel room is very nice bed is very comfortable

I didn’t even get to stay here because it’s their “policy” that the owner of the card used has to be present when checking in My boyfriend bought me a room while I’m here alone for an AA conference Not only was this extremely inconvenient (had to cancel his reservation/lots of other hotels completely booked), the manager lady who I dealt with was very rude and unprofessional

She was rude to the employee there that was clearly brand new, and rude to me Room was overpriced anyways Guess I’ll never get the experience!

Finally! A nice, modern hotel in downtown! No more staying out in Fairlawn/Montrose among all the strip malls Way overdue in downtown AkronThe hotel is clean, comfortable, and designed well while incorporating the history of the landmark building

Staff were also great – typical of the Marriott experience

Fairly good location and very close to belden village if you are there for shopping or for the airport or the Hall of fame Lot of road construction going on north of there which makes it not as convenient for events in Akron or cleveland Room was very clean

Bed comfortable Water pressure very good Microwave and refrigerator Adequate TV with channel selections Good toiletries and towels Breakfast was just average with the usual eggs sausage some yogurt Could have used a little more fruit and non packaged bakery items The biggest complaint is the room temperature When the AC was running things were pretty cold but when it stopped they seemed to get warm in a hurry A little quieter than most hotels of this ilk I would definitely stay there again

As a Marriot Bonvoy Member, I am not super impressed with this hotel We arrived at 11:30pm and there were noises all over the place We could hear all of our neighbors and didn’t get to sleep until about 4am

And then right at 6am, they started packing and all you heard was the banging of drawersOn top of this, the water flow was super slow and there was only super hot or ice cold Not much for a shower And our room thermostat was broken, so we slept in a tundra until it magically started working around 7amFood was alright except the hard boiled eggs turned out to be bad unfortunatelyI do want to mention though that the service was super nice and they did try to fix the issues, but they could not fix the noisey neighbors and that is really no fault of theirsPlease be cautious when staying Bring noise cancelling headphones and your own food

Excellent room! We stayed in a king suite with a kitchen The room was spacious with a separate living room, full size fridge, small stove, and plenty of counter space Everything was very clean, our room was quiet

Laundry room was clean and convenient The market had a good selection of essentials and food Nice breakfast too The staff was friendly and helpful The only troubles we had were wifi that didn’t work at all during our stay, and our key cards had to be reactivated at the front desk daily This was really inconvenient when we parked in the back and were locked outside in the rain

Stayed overnight while on the road with our family We had a small issue with our room that was immediately fixed, but more importantly, exceptional customer service! You can tell that the staff here are happy and work together with respect and care for each other that extends to every guest We were welcomed like family and had a wonderful visit before getting back on the road!

I travel for business all over the and I had to mention that this particular hotel is amazing- The rooms are great, staff is wonderful even down to the General Manger- I needed a quiet place to do some last minute work before flying out the next day and the General Manager heard me talking to the Front Desk and came out to let me use their Meeting Room Sometimes people get overlooked and Business’s don’t get the recognition they should I will be back in town next month and this will definitely be my choice for accommodations

Thank you Again!!
