Room was pretty gross when I first entered I was already super tired though, and I always pack some Clorox wipes with me when I travel Cleaned the heck out of everything– was in a room with 2 queen beds and carefully looked over them to pick the one that had cleaner sheets/ pillows etc

Staff was all very nice I know the room not being that clean had more to do with the lack of house-keeping staff– they need to hire more house-keeping staff or give them better equipment You can’t expect rooms to be clean if you don’t give staff the proper equipment and support I didn’t complain to the desk because I wasn’t sure if a different room would’ve been any cleaner honestly Disappointed Do better People are paying higher prices, hoping the accommodations will be clean and safe

great location! near plenty of dining options , grocery and shoppingHotel was clean and well kept lobby was always pleasant

even with an entire baseball team being noisy management did a remarkable job at allowing us to move freely and our boys to have a little fun on propertyroom was a bit small tough to maneuver through our stay but overall was satisfactorywould def recommend this location for anyone needing to stay in Battle Creek

We were having issues at our own home and needed a place for a few days The people at the front desk were very helpful by getting as a room right away and was able to have a suite It had a refrigerator and microwave with a sofa and walk in shower

They have a small restaurant but the food was great The room was spotless Everything was just wonderful Thank you to all of you

I am not high maint, so when rude front desk lady said “NO REFUNDS” 4x during brief check in period, I told myself I could do anything for 1 day I was wrong Blanket on bed had wear holes from being so old, new cuts, and cig burns

1 nasty thin pillow, everything covered in thick dust Shampoo was half gone from previous ppl Towels had huge bare patches, but the worst was the bathroom floor and toilet were both about to cave in Literally Sat on top of bed till I got another hotel *NO REFUND* Pool is also filled in, btw

I stayed for one hour before deciding to leave due to the facility being unsafe, unclean, and unprofessionalFirst, when I got to my room, the door was not closed/locked, because the lock was broken When I initially checked in, receptionist was on her personal cell phone having a conversation about wiring money to a friend — when I called her to ask for a different room with a working lock, she was no where to be found

The operator/front desk line was busy and no one was at the front desk at allSecond, there were no towels in my room Not a single towel I called the receptionist multiple times to tell them about the lock but also for towels I called for half an hour when she finally answered, she failed to address the door lock problem but did say she would send down towels I waited for about half an hour before calling again She apologized and sent some down immediately The young women who delivered the towels was with a BAREFOOT wearing only a skimpy bathing suit cover up and handed me two towels which were not folded; it was as though she picked up some towels off of the floor and brought them to meThird, there were a lot of loud people loitering between the front of the hotel to the lobby of the hotel and then into the halls of the hotel; it seemed to be the same group of 6-8 people There was a parked car which was turned on in front of the entrance of the hotel with people just hanging in it from the moment I arrived to the moment I left These same loud 6-8 people were just going from smoking outside to hanging in the lobby to loudly talking in the halls where the rooms are; this is quite annoying when your hotel room door won’t lock I felt unsafeAdditionally, the elevator was brokenI called Baymont’s customer service immediately to see if I could just cancel my reservation so I could leave They did file a complaint but told me that there was no guarantee that I could get a refund I left the hotel and booked a room at the Marriott a few miles awayWhen I arrived to the Marriott, I realized that I didn’t have my ID – the receptionist at the Baymont forgot to hand me back my ID when I checked in – probably because she was busy making a personal phone call during the entirety of my check-in processTL; DR: Hotel room door wouldn’t lock, no towels in room when I got there, couldn’t find the receptionist to rectify either problem, loud people loitering in the front of the hotel and from within the halls of the hotel, broken elevator, and barefooted hotel staff

Checked in to the wrong room I paid more to have a king size bed and they gave me a double They did change it after I got into my email and proved I reserved a King

The bed felt like a pile of springs with fabric lying over it The pillows were horrible The room smelled bad and was dirty The tub backed up on us when we took our showers The breakfast was not edible The hotel itself was dirty and run down I reserved last minute and and I thought it was a classy place from the pictures on the website but it’s in a very run down area I would not stay here again or encourage anyone else to

I wish I could give this hotel a zero Do not stay here We are 2 days into a 5 day stay and the hotel is disgusting

The floors are gross and sticky, bathroom is stained and gross, shower curtain is ripped apart The are stains on the wall the look like feces We came back after spending the day at the beach and there were NO TOWELS in our room We went down to ask for towels and they said they don’t have any and we would have to wait until 10pm to receive any The breakfast is sad and you may as well plan on eating out because you will not want to eat what they have I am just praying at this point we don’t bring bed bugs home Do not stay here Please don’t bring your kids!!

I’m at breakfast right now annoyed that i don’t have a good view of the big screen tv because the staff are using that table to watch TV while they do laundry All other tables in the dining area are positioned in corners or behind columns There’s a smaller TV that is viewable in that area, but it’s not turned on and the audio would compete with the larger one anyway

Rant over My bed was exceedingly comfortable When the jet lag is gone I’m sure I’ll sleep like a baby Looking forward to using pool and fitness room this evening

The room was spacious, but a bit dated The beds were comfortable and we had no problem falling asleep Plenty of pillows that were top grade

Construction in the area made it difficult to get to the hotel, but the location is well suited for the Kalamazoo areaAs we travel, we often find many hotels have staffing issues The Residence Inn is no exception, and is minimally staffed We had no need for service during our stay

Christine Byington

Worse night in years at a hotel Started with not clean bathroom – pee on front of toilet, hair and toothpaste in sink I cleaned it

Then had to get creative to block outside hall light that shined into room because there are no room darkening curtains or blinds in kitchen window Had to call front desk at 11pm to quiet kids running in front of doorway area Then at 2am more shouts, doors slamming etc – called again to be informed it was a large family that checked into the unit above us At 4am called again because it was still a party above us When mentioned at desk, they just said so sorry, and my requested call from manager who isn’t on duty at all on party weekends never came My first warning should have been release that I had to sign saying I would get charged $250 if I party on site, and then the need to walk me to my room to check and make sure it wasn’t smelly from cigarette smoke

Doug Jones

Feels and smells dirty It is old I’m not sure how Marriott has approved this location

2 bedroom units at every other Residence Inn have 2 real bedrooms plus a living room – these units have one room with a bedroom and kitchen, then doors with windows in them for the 2nd bedroom – it is not a a true 2 bedroom like any other Residence Inn Why is it referred to as a “penthouse” on the website???????

We stayed over Easter weekend The room had no smoke detector We had two kids 3 years and 6 months old

A working one is a safety precaution They wouldn’t move us to a room with one The first night the front desk lady was very sweet They advertise a pool and was told it’s closed due to maintenance Only reason we booked there The hallways were dark and freezing There was trash on the stairs and hallways Housekeepers making fun at guests Very unprofessional They won’t answer email or phone calls to handle this situation We called the 800 number They got the front desk to answer and it was finally the manager She was very unprofessional and asked why we didn’t tell her anything upon check out on Sunday How were we suppose to know she was the manager when nothing distinguished this She just looked like any other front desk person She then proceeded to hang up Was not very impressed and won’t ever come back If I could I’d rate it a 0

Shelly Mareno

Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else We stayed here for our sons baseball tournament We considered moving to the Courtyard but it was booked up

This hotel needs some serious updating The hallways are dark and the pool was closed Seems like it’s been closed for a long time according to the other reviews Only 2 towels in the bathroom, we were given pool towels when asked for more Breakfast wasn’t too bad, typical hotel food The employees at the front desk were nice and helpful

Shannon Ernat

My husband, daughter and I stayed here this weekend with my daughters softball team I felt like the hotel is definitely due for some updating and the breakfast options weren’t great but there was a big positive about the hotel and made the stay worth the while Her name is Alysa

She was AMAZING!!!!!! She was running the front desk, housekeeping and any other thing that needed to be done Since Covid I realize it’s hard to get staff so she was the only one there She was running her butt off, working so hard and she did it all with a smile on her face She was so friendly and helpful I hope this hotel realizes what a great employee they have in her

Only staying a single night, had all of my stuff unloaded and unpacked Manager says that he would change me rooms Not hung other than that I ran a 22 room motel alone and didn’t have all this When a customer come pained about their room, I had to refund them and change their room if a room request was made This place is discussting compared to the standards I had upheld Don’t come here regardless of the cheaper price Find some place else

Room was very comfortable and clean Breakfast in the morning was fantastic Close to the casino and multiple other entertainment options and restaurant options

Definitely a steal for what we paid We had some last minute travel complications and the front desk attendant was very accommodating and arranged a late check out for us to our relief Excellent experience all around Thanks for an amazing stay

William Wilson

The hotel was clean, and the room was large, but the neighborhood isn’t the best, and their were unsavory people near byTheir was someone sleeping on the lobby couch, in the morning, and their were always people near the lobby door smokingI felt safe in the room, but as soon as I stepped out the lobby door, I did not feel safe

I won’t stay there again, and that’s too bad, because the hotel is really nice for the price

Abby Watkins

Three stars was for the pool and hot tub, the rest was not the best

Front desk staff at check in was friendly and courteous Check in was easy and we made it to our room without issue We stayed two nights We were in the area for a gymnastics meet The hotel is older and needs some tlc Our room was clean but clearly older which didn’t bother us However, the worst part of our room was the smell It was clear this section of the hotel used to be smoking (not now) and had a lingering, permanent order We had to buy a bottle of Febreze at a local store The pool and hot tub are the best part of this hotel Kids and adults equally loved this area Pool was warm and hot tub was hot Breakfast the first morning was a disappointment Kids were hungry so we went downstairs at 9am and barely anything was left or restocked My son got the last of the milk for a bowl of cereal and the rest of our family ended up ordering out at a local restaurant so we had something to eat too When traveling in this area, we won’t be using this hotel again

What a great place to sleep when you are staying in Battle Creek or just passing through, as I was This hotel is set in a quiet, beautiful and wooded neighbourhood just off the Interstate It is clean! The staff is very friendly and helpful with answers to all of my questions

It is an easy and quick drive into downtown Battle Creek And there are several gas stations in the area

angus nebraska

Good location However, they apparantly can’t afford to have enough towels to service the rooms Twice we were left a note

out of towels check with front desk this evening Not what you’d expect from a Fairfield Inn Housekeeping a bit lazy, come on you can empty trash but you cant put a trash bag back in the can, just leave them laying near You can do better and should be doing better

Check out my pictures Austin is the front desk manager he is absolutely amazing! The service was great I was there on business so I only stayed one night the room I gave four stars because the tub didn’t go down very fast I always love the Holiday Inn brand They represent it well at this location

The gym was pretty good there was a television also the treadmill has a television attached but you have to attach your headphones so I synced up the channels on the treadmill and the TV and used the volume from the TV Which was strangely positioned in the far right corner of the room while all the machines are facing straight forward Lol Handicap accessible the pool looks nice I didn’t utilize that The elevator works properly, breakfast was good, the rest of the staff seemed friendly as well Very quiet, good location I would recommend it and if I’m ever in the area I would stop again

Michael Hendrickson

The bed was great and the pillows were perfect just wished there were 3 pillows per person but it was a good stay Also just a tiny suggestion for breakfast if you could get that special k with the strawberries instead of those plain flakes it would make a huge difference to me and Raisin Bran crunch instead of the regular I think other people would agree that those are better

Angel Risner

Upon arrival everything was nice, staff was friendly and the kids had fun in the pool When it was time to settle into our suite I pulled out the couch for our kids and my youngest pulled out a vape and a beer cap underneath the cushion before I pulled out the bed I went to the front desk and was only offered 20 dollars off my room for the “inconvenience”

The front desk signed me up for their rewards program and said he gave me points which I never received After returning to the room and trying to utilize the rest of our suite, we discovered our second TV didn’t work After trying to troubleshoot it myself hoping to avoid going back to the front desk, I had no luck I went down and spoke to Kaitlyn, she was as helpful as she could be in that situation and informed me what time management would be in in the morning We tried to get rest but I still made two trips to the front desk once at 3 and another at 5 to politely ask the room above us to quite down They were so loud they rattled the things in our room I waited until 7:30 and spoke to Farrah who was very helpful and informed me that the GM would be in at 8 We ate breakfast while we waited, which was very good I approached the desk a little after 8 and waited for the GM to figure out her computer system She then came back and told me that 20 dollars was all they could do and was very snotty She tried to tell me there was no reason why I shouldn’t have gotten any sleep because it was an older gentleman above me Which was definitely far from the case She argued with me and I have never in my life seen such poor customer service She had no intentions of making it right We checked out early at 8:30 I will never stay at this location again I don’t recommend staying here Unclean rooms and the worst customer service
