What’s better than an extra large parking spot right in front of your motel room door? They had a great continental breakfast just shy of a sit-down restaurantStaff was friendly, rooms were very clean with refrigerator, microwave, and closetIt’s obvious the place is well maintained by and cared for

Outdoor pool and a Big Field to run your dog are a plusWill definitely be back

My first hostel hotel experience and it was surprisingly pleasant! The rooftop was beautiful and cold The lobby was comfy and warm The drinks were all amazing

I tried different local wines, had some tea, and grabbed a cup of coffee the morning before my departure It was all short, sweet, and comfortable I’ll be visiting Portland more and hope to get a room there again Definitely 10/10

Niusha Tajvidi

I would go back and visit Portland just to stay at this hotel! The staff here are beyond incredible Upon arrival I had a lot of anxiety as I was a first time solo traveller and everyone there made me feel so safe Everyone there genuinely cares about you and your safety

The hotel offers an escort system if you feel unsafe at a location and you can even text the staff at anytime which was super helpful I stayed at a single room which meant I had to share a bathroom and I had some reservations about it before visiting but it exceeded all my expectations! The room and bathroom was honestly cleaner than at any hotel I have stayed at The cafe/restaurant in the lobby had amazing food (I had a chocolate chip cookie from there every single day because honestly it was the best) There’s also amazing views from the beautiful rooftop patio I VERY HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Gosh what a unique hostel/hotel I loved staying here They have a big, coed hostel room with comfortable, ship-berthing-inspired bunks

They have privacy curtains which I loved The hotel also has private rooms but I didn’t stay in oneI loved the common cafe area The hours are long and there are always people taking advantage of the spaceThe only thing I can say negatively about this was the location being swamped by homeless people I have compassion for them but there’s a lot of unaddressed mental health issues and it made me feel unsafe leaving at night The doors to the cafe/hotel required being buzzed in or using your room key so that was coolOverall, I would stay here again This is the nicest hostel I’ve been in

We stayed at this hotel recently (1-3 Dec 2021)while in town for a funeral I was unfamiliar with the name AVID, but trusted my cousin who helped us to book the hotel We were very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and simplicity of the facility

It offered everything a person would want and expect from a hotel Clean rooms, comfortable beds, decent quick breakfast with fresh fruits and juices Oh and coffee available 24 hrs a day or night😊 Just expect a very simplified clean, comfortable place to rest I would definitely recommend this hotel for the above reasons plus the prices were also reasonableThere was a very kind gentleman at the front desk that made our stay extra special I cannot recall his name but I believe he may have been gay He was so good to all the guests I observed him going above and beyond to assist people to make their stay more pleasant He was off one day while we were there and we really missed his pleasant morning greetings I hope he’ll be there if we ever get to back to OKC

I am traveling across the country with my Mom, this is the 2 out of 3 Hampton Inn’s we stayed at and this was the best Very Accessible, and Pet friendly Their handicap accessible room for my Mom was top notch, had a walk in shower and flip down seat

Perfect, plus the rooms were super clean and smelled great! The people were also very friendly and helpful Breakfast was great I would definitely stay there again!

Kaitlin Goodwin

The pull out sofa was dirty, the pool was out of service with no comparable suggestions (since we booked this hotel specifically to bring our kids to the kid friendly pool) the electricity was flickering in and off, our van was keyed in the parking lot and nothing was done about it Just overall not a good experience We will not be staying at this hotel again

Hands down one of the best experiences I have had! This little boutique hotel has very cozy rooms – with all of the comforts of home The jetted tub was a major reason we chose this hotel and it was beyond worth it to unwind for a night away from the stress at home! The room was spotless, and they even left a personalized card and bottle of wine with our breakfast voucher This place is lovely, and we will definitely be booking again

Linda The Boo

The Orenco is a gem! Located on a quiet and charming street, yet also has easy access to highway 26 A short morning walk to a wonderful bakery and restaurants only a block away My room was cozy, comfortable and spotlessly clean

The owners are kind and attentive The room had all of the amenities that I needed You don’t want to stay in a big hotel, when you can stay at the Orenco! I’d definitely stay there again Thank you Margie and Richard!

Julie Diebolt Price

Reminiscent of historic brownstones in New York City, The Orenco offers short or extended-stay lodgings in an upscale, quiet, and safe neighborhoodOur room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom included toiletries with bathrobes, and kitchenette was fully equippedMany great dining options are within a short walk and it’s also close to the Tri-Met station

I was exploring Hillsboro, which is not far from home This is a perfect place to stay if you are in the area for business or pleasure

During our stay we enjoyed friendly staff and clean rooms However the lack of an elevator and being placed on the 3rd floor was not my idea of a vacation Especially when the entire purpose of our trip was shopping

Breakfast was okay However the lack of fresh fruit and liquid coffee creamer seem to reflect on cutbacks due to the increasing cost of groceries Maid service was reliable The quality of bath towels and very slim pickings of hotel toiletries also reflect a cheaper quality of the hotel All in all, ok

Brian

This is a basic hotel, and if cost is your primary driver for a nights hotel stay, then you’ll get what you pay for You may actually feel like you got your money’s worth, I’m not suggesting it’s more costly than it should be, it’s a basic hotel that meets simple needs The beds were comfortable, the room felt mostly clean (beds and toilet yes, appliances that had been sitting, no)

The bathroom had signs of water damage in several places, as it common in hotels in this classWhat I didn’t like was their pet policy We had two rooms for multiple nights and both rooms had multiple nights with several pets above us moving around, jumping, and barking at times, throughout each night We slept poorly those nights So if you have a pet, you’ll have nothing to complain about If you do not have pets and go to a hotel to sleep, ensure you stay on the top floor

We were so excited to stay here but it was overrun by sports teams, kids and people from conferencesWe stayed Saturday night and paid $300/night (after taxes/fees) for a very chaotic stay This is a smaller embassy suites location but is newer and has some nice touches

Parking is an additional $10 We had to move rooms because the first one wasn’t clean The pool was packed with 10+ kids and even if you were to go for a drink at the bar there was nowhere to sit with kids running around the lobby Also, screaming kids running up and down the hallways outside our room was not enjoyable We mentioned this to the front desk and they offered only a sorry and nothing more We booked through Hilton and are members but we were quite disappointed nothing was done to make up for our stay and lack of available amenitiesAll of the staff were wonderful! The breakfast here is really good with a lot of variety They also have a guest reception with some light snacks (veggies and chips) and beverages (5:30-7pm) Beds were very comfortable and most rooms only have showers(no bath tubs)

One of the best Best Western I’ve stayed in The hotel is very clean and the staffs are friendly The beds are comfortable and bathrooms are clean

We booked the two bed-room suite and was very happy with the layout and how spacious everything was Free coffee in the front lobby is a winI would definitely stay here again when I’m back in town There was free breakfast but due to lack of staff, we received McDonald’s voucher for breakfast Can’t say I can have that for 5 days straight 😏

Mariah West

Absolutely the worst stay! Very upset with how we were treated in dealing with our reservation!I was quoted one thing over the phone and sent and email and paid a different price than quote When my family tried to check in they were told they couldn’t find the reservationWe left for the day and asked for our room to be cleaned and it was not

They advertise breakfast which is also not trueOver all this was a waste of money and truly put a huge frustration on our tripIf you’re looking for a place to stay that cares They simply do notAdvise to anyone looking Don’t waste your time or money here It’s absolutely unnerving how rude they are!

Molly Anderson

I had a wonderful stay Ireland and Amy were so kind and knowledgeable of the area and they both made this stay excellent! The room was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and clean – keep up the great work! I will definitely be staying here if I’m back in the area!

When arriving front desk receptionist was very friendly, efficient and informative Room was nice and clean We did have a light that was out in our room and they were quick to get it replaced

The breakfast was very good and had plenty of variety for everyone Hotel is also close to many places to shop if you needed something I would definitely stay again in the future

Hope Anderson

We pulled in at about midnight last night, just needing to crash since we had been driving for about 13 hours The receptionist, Valerie, was very helpful and polite The room was comfortable and clean

There was a good selection for the continental breakfast However, when we went to put our things in the car in the morning, we found that our rooftop luggage bag had been sliced open (it had double locks on it) and stuff had been stolen I am only giving 3 stars because the parking lot, while well lit, is not monitored and there are quite a few homeless roaming the area And there were guys getting drunk in the parking lot

David Riley

I have added this location to my list of Hotel locations to avoid in the future Requested Ground floor but got 3rd floor The shower barely had enough water pressure to take a underwhelming shower

It wasn’t the shoes head as even at the tub spout there was very little water flow The elevator was also pretty nasty and looked as if it had not been cleaned recently Other than this the hotel and room was about average for the chain I stay at this chain over 100 nights a year and little things like this make me think about changing to another chain

20-21 March 2022 stayAwesome value for my 15000 pointsGreat staff from counter to cleaning to breakfast

Loved the room with queen beds, fridge, microwave, TV, power portsNice showerDidn’t have time but pool and hot tub looked great!Love the business center computer and printer so I could print some important documentsYummy breakfast!I’ll be back!

Lisa Nelson

The water pressure in the shower was excellent (probably the best of any hotel I’ve ever stayed), and the towels were surprisingly soft Variety of breakfast options (including donuts, breakfast sandwiches, sealed Danishes), and there is a drive-through Starbucks not too far away We didn’t get to try the 24-hour pool or hot tub, but appreciate that was an option

The location is an industrial area, which wasn’t bad But it’s right by a train railway, so the noise of the trains woke us up a few times (bring your earplugs)

Rachelle Donovan

Don’t let this hotels 2 star rating fool you! This is our family’s 2nd stay at this hotel in a few years and we highly recommend! Great prices, pr9mpt and great service, lots of choices for complimentary breakfast, convenience store across the parking lot for any other needs, clean rooms, 24 hour pool and love the location Feels a little like a hidden gem!

Nice place to stretch out and stay if you find yourself in the Portland area We got two days for a very reasonable price and were very pleased with the value Shoot, we probably put them in the red for our stay for all we eat at the scrumptious continental breakfast

Pool hours were a bit confusing and I think I ended up with about a dozen key cards after the previous eleven failing at one point or anotherof course this very well could have been operator error Super convenient having Target within tripping distance of the back door and they even offered complementary drinks for happy hour with our purchase My high compliments to the staff and management of this fine establishment

Kimberly Stewart

The hotel was a madhouse Kids were running all around the hotel doing whatever they wanted and there was no hotel staff around to keep things under control Kids pressed every button to stop the elevator on every floor so you had no choice but to ride it out or take the stairs

There was tape on the carpet, tape on the ceiling Cleanliness was questionableCheap precooked food was served for breakfast and the buffet was not restocked as it should have been The staff seemed to be more concerned with closing and shutting down than making sure guests were happyEvening reception was a joke Bagged chips and cheese? Insulting The line for drinks didn’t seem to move Stood in line 30 minutes and still never received my drinksThe bed was hard as a brick and linen had holes in itRequested a room cleaning and the front desk clerk told me I needed to request it the night before despite never telling me that during check inWe had to change rooms because someone left their dog in the hotel room and it barked for hoursNever staying here again

Michelle H

Avoid booking here if you have other optionsThere were multiple bus loads full of young people in the hotel who decided to stay up well past “quiet hours” to have a huge pizza party with music, singing and yelling within the central common area This was going on when we checked in around 8pm but didn’t stop

I called the front desk at 9pm and asked when the quiet hours would be enforced I was told by the front desk manager that security was “handling” the situation and it would be quiet soon for the 9pm quiet hours curfew Unfortunately, that never happened The noise actually grew louder as the crowd grew more raucous I kept calling the front desk when there was no hint of it calming down at 10:30pm, but no one bothered to pick up the phone at that point My call, and likely many others from angry and distressed guests (many who are parents of young kids like us), was sent to hold I actually considered calling the police to assist the incompetent staff to control the crowd, but decided Portland Police probably had more urgent issues to addressI understand that it can be hard to control rowdy and inconsiderate guests, but it appears that there were no attempts made to try In fact, according to the reviews, this is a common occurrence in this locationI never would have booked a stay in this location had I known the inferior quality control and complete lack of decorum and consideration for the other guestsI emailed the general manager and he (promptly) offered his “deepest regret and apology” I don’t want an apology I want to get what I paid for…a pleasant and comfortable hotel experience with my family

We choose to stay with Hampton Inn for the cleanliness many of their locations have, but were terribly disappointed with Hillsboro The place has an awful stench the moment we walked into the side door and up the stairs It was chemical and overwhelming

Our first room was revolting It was tiny and smeared with food (or possibly something else) all over the bathroom door Visible food chunks on the table All the corners of the floors rimmed with filthy, dingy little bathtub You could tell everything needed a deep cleanThe clerk gave us another room that was larger and cleaner, but not by much There was thick mold behind the sink faucet and hairs from a previous guest’s shave The end tables, bathroom counter, and bath tub/shower appear to be leftovers from another hotel chain, at least 30 years old They are in poor repair and not consistent with other Hampton properties The carpet had long loose threads hanging from the point where it meets the tile, clearly a poor install job The entire hotel is just old, dark, and dingey Add to that the right roar of the freeway all night and you’re probably gonna be happier taking your $200 elsewhereWe decided to opt out of breakfast over concern that their food is likely handled as poorly as the rest of the property Don’t stay at this Hampton It’s more like a Ramada

My husband & I both have trouble walking I ask for a room next to an entrance That didn’t happen & it was extremely hard for us to get our stuff to our room

The room had very old linens & bed coverings I was using a wash cloth to shower & my fingernails kept ripping the wash cloth The beds were very hard They advertised rooms at $55 We were charged $77 Do not recommend this hotel & will never stay there again

Cathy Robert

Such a nice late-evening find to get a good rest The building is not new but it’s plain they strive for cleanliness and the staff were very kind Our room was spacious, the bed was good and the pillows comfy

There was also a fridge and microwave, with vending and ice not far away We were surprised to find a continental breakfast that even had some hot choices in the morning! (We also noticed in the office they also had pet rooms available) We paid $69 for a king room and have paid more than double that in 4-star hotels for unclean, noisy rooms We will be back, as it’s on our way to visit our son

Sam Downey

We have stayed here more than once, since it is at a location we can drive comfortably from home We were sorry to hear that ownership has changed, but are hoping that quality stays high Our only issue had to do with closing the breakfast area early, even though we were sitting there trying to enjoy our meal

I guess it isn’t big deal, but we felt very rushed, and unwelcome Our next stay, three days later on our return trip, we didn’t bother to even go to the breakfast room, because of that unwelcome feeling

The personnel that I encountered was helpful and polite They were also approachableFirst thing walking into the hallway was a chemical smell, but I assumed it was because of the renovations that were going on

The hotel room was ok The bed was fine, it was clean and that was no problemThe bathroom was a little different story The tub needed some extra love, it was a bit used down A coat of paint or a new tub would be amazing And better toilet paper 😅The noise level, our room was in a corner, so I assumed we would have little to no noise However the person next to us decided to hit the walls or desks at random times and it was annoying There was no noise cancellation and I felt like I couldn’t even talk because the person would hear the conversation

Someone took an old trashed out hotel slapped a poorly done coat of paint, new carpet and a Best Western logo on it Pictures speak for itself Absolute possible lowest level of care exhibited at every single level

From the moment you drive in past the unkept landscaping which makes it hard to distinguish where the nearby homeless camp ends and hotel starts Closet door was missing so they just put one in the middle hoping no one would notice In room phone doesn’t work so you have to go down to the main lobby to talk to them Room electrical outlets and switches had a completely random medley of all three of the possible color combinationsPictures speak for themselvesBed was clean and as expected so sleep was fine

Stayed here on Saturday June 4th We came down to Eugene from WA for my best freinds funeral unfortunately It is my birthday weekend so my wife wanted to salvage what she could of it and booked us a room here

When we arrived we were greeted by Morgan with so much warmth and kindness My wife had mentioned it was my birthday and they put out some decorations and a card and upgraded our roomA lot hotel claim to be dog friendly but act put out Not here! We had dog beds and toys sent up and Morgan even came out from behind front desk and greeted our ancient dog personallyEvery other staff member was also extremely kind and helpful I would also like to note that the rose festival was going on and they were extremely busy and still had the best customer service we have received at a hotel in PortlandThank you!

Stayed at the hotel Deluxe for a night with some girlfriends We were able to get early check-in Our room was fantastic

Easy Uber rides to Keller Auditorium where we saw Hamilton After the show, we got back to the hotel and had a drink at the Driftwood, I chose to have the bartender make me a drink of his choiceI’m not a drinker, so when I got my cocktail, it was a surprise how much I enjoyed said cocktail After drinks, we ended up walking a few blocks to the Melting Pot, had a fantastic dinner and was easily able to Uber back to the hotel We woke up the next morning and had breakfast downstairs at Gracie’sgreat staff, delicious food, convenient location, we just took the elevator down We were able to go back to our and relax before our very easy check-outAll in all, such a fabulous stay at a beautiful hotel Great atmosphere The front desk was helpful and inviting Looking forward to booking another girls night when we go to another show at Kellers

I was travelingSo, I called in to reserve a room I was told the price and the time I am supposed to check out

I traveled for 30 minutes in the middle of night to get there to find out it was all lie The price went up, the check out went down Is it a simple misunderstanding? Or a way to take advantage? Such a big hotel and The hotel might be good hotel to stay but in terms of hospitality, might not be the best choice

After years of recommending friends and family from out of town stay here I regret to say I had a terrible experience trying to get a room here after having an emergency at my home that required me to get a room for the night this last Friday I arrived with my mother after seeing the vacancy sign was on, we went in asked for a room, my mother was attempting to pay since I’m currently unemployed and after some confusion about which one of us needed to show our Id for the room we were told that they were only accepting reservations We went out outside and since I still had the website up showing available rooms we booked a reservation, my mom input her payment information and because it was a same day reservation the room was charged

We went back inside with the confirmation number to try and check in and a man came out asked if we had just been told my his wife that we couldn’t get a room and I confirmed that she told us we needed a reservation so I had obtained one online I was legitimately confused by all of this because the vacancy sign was on My mother attempted to get confirmation that she wouldn’t be charged for the room and he told her that she needed to contact her credit card company and that he wouldn’t be renting a room to us and that he “didn’t know what we were trying to pull” I have no idea what happened but I can honestly say I have literally never been refused service at a motel with or without a reservation with a vacancy sign on and never treated this rudely I will never have anyone I know stay here ever again and I sincerely hope they just shut off their vacancy sign if they are gonna be that disturbed by women looking for a room

It’s an older motel, but very clean At first musty smelling Air it out and it was fine

Comfortable bed Clean bathroomDid not like shampoo in a pouch Very difficult to tear open so had to use my teeth Hm shampoo in my mouth So if the owner do read this, not to happy with thatThe train waiting stop is across the street, so very easy access to the citySome restaurants walking distanceOverall not a bad stay for one night

I’d give 5 stars everything’s great except parking and occasional thin walls between the split rooms for sure even in an midsized suv had to fold in our mirrors an squeeze out of car but besides that fair pricing an nice staff comfortable beds for the price if we ever stay in Portland for a day or weekend will stay there again without hesitation for sure

I stayed for 9 nights and loved it The beds are amazing- not as good as my bed at home, but definitely better than your standard extended stay hotel bed The breakfast in the morning was delicious

They typically have something different every day that incorporates either fresh fruit or veggies They seemed to have some sort of happy hour in the lobby occasionally? I’m not sure because when I checked in there was no communication about amenities or any guest events Despite that, I would definitely stay here again

The Element Beaverton is a good solid hotel that is run well We stayed there twice in the last couple of weeks and were impressed I am a Marriott Titanium for Life, so I know the Marriott product, and I am a New Yorker, so I have no issue saying how it is

The rooms were fine OK they could have been larger, but they were fine The free breakfast was good Coffee was easy to come by at all hours And the place was spotless in the entry area, the elevators, corridors, and the roomsI want to recognize one employee, Jasmine She works the front desk as well as in the breakfast area Jasmine was exceptionally helpful, consistently smiling, always working to make sure her customers were happy and feeling welcome She clearly is an asset to the Element and represents the brand wellWe are staying there again in a few days and looking forward to our stay

We are locals who came to beat the heat The indoor swimming pool was lovely and meant we could comfortable swim without being outside in the 100+ heatThe room was spacious and well stocked

We could sign into our streaming services on the TV to watch a movieThe AC worked like a charmThe complimentary breakfast is phenomenal Everything from gluten free bagels to a yogurt bar and pancakes and eggs made on demandEveryone was so kind and courteous Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay outside of the bustle of the city but just a short drive away from it

Stayed in one of the Whirlpool Suites because we simply wanted to treat ourselves The jets were only partially functional and it definitely ended up being just a bathtub When I spoke to the front staff about this issue they told me that they would have the maintenance look at it

This would have been fine if I intended on staying for more than one night but I was only passing throughThe disposables for the coffee maker (napkins/stirrers etc) we’re not replaced between guests I know this because 3 of the four were opened and missing items from the lot This is unacceptable as it makes me wonder what else was not properly observed/cleaned/replaced before we entered the roomWhen the AC cut on throughout the night, it would do so with a loud BANG which would startle us awake each time I tried shutting the door between us and the AC, but it still sounded very loud everytime it turned on It int annoy me at first, but the third time I woke up in the middle of the nightit really made me second guess my choices in selecting a hotelThese are small gripes, but I feel as though when I explained the situation about the tub, and the picked through disposable items, it wasn’t really acknowledge All in all, it wasn’t terrible, but It definitely wasn’t a suite experienceMy recommendation Check EVERYTHING before you agree to stay in the room, even if it’s a suite

Normally I am a fan of these hotels but this time was pretty sad The wheelchair accessibility is sort of true if the front spots are available but if you have to park on the side, you are a far cry from the nearest ramp Our hotel room had one empty side of toilet paper and one the was ripped in the middle and had to be unraveled quite a bit to be usable

The placement of the toilet paper is also too far away for short arms and a double hit on accessibility as you need to stand or even balance to reach I tried to let the front desk know we were almost out of toilet paper and it rang in perpetuity for many minutes until I hung up No call back Also, the tv doesn’t work it just says “no signal” And lastly, you can have breakfast if you want to pay $12 I can’t comment on the quality because I’m not paying $12 when I can go get breakfast almost anywhere for less

PAULA HAYNES

I was forced to leave one star which is not deserved Terrible stay We arrived and our room wasn’t ready

We were one of many who were left to wait hours for a room Had to keep checking with the front desk and finally after we all argued with the management to get us something we got a room The rooms smelled of mildew and they only offered a later check out which was no good to us Don’t stay there because they are rude to their guests and don’t make your stay a pleasurable experience
