I became a Covid ICU Travel Nurse at the beginning of the pandemic I gave up my home I left my children & granddaughters

I have worked in multiple states, And, I have lived in hotels for the past 2 1/2 years I have been here for 11 months I will be here another 7 months Finally, I have a place to stay where I don’t feel desperately homesick This hotel… and this amazing staff have repeatedly gone above and beyond to make me feel as “at home” as possible Sure, things aren’t always perfect (I do NOT miss being responsible for my own home maintenance) While routine maintenance is clearly a top priority, things break, things need repaired Here, things get done quickly They get done correctly The property is extremely clean and well maintained The free laundry & workout equipment are clean & well maintained The convenience store is clean & well stocked (although the company recently switched to Pepsi products) The staff is AMAZING! My dogs love it here The people who stay here are respectful, and clean Everything is convenient (restaurants/shopping/freeway/airport) I have never felt disrespected here I have never felt unsafe here For the unplanned direction my 25+ year nursing career took, I would not be able to continue to do the work I do if it weren’t for this hotel, and the incredible people who have been such a blessing in my life!

100$ deposit that they hold that has to be on credit card or debit, can’t be cash Sort of a hassle but not bad Rooms weren’t the best , and had a weird pickle smell but had a rather large desk and laz e boy recliner

Nice size rooms Didn’t like the window to our room being facing the road Overall it I’ve been better places for the price Right down the street , the la Quinta or extended stay is just as good if not , a lot, better for the same price or cheaper

Stayed here twice now It’s an inexpensive stay in a good, functional room Everything was clean, service at the front desk is 24 hours, and there are some interesting undocumented features with the rooms

All in all, if I cross the nation again at this latitude, this will be my destination for lodging

shelby stansell

As soon as I walked in the office door I was never more happy with a motel then this place The front desk is awesome, the room is just what a trucker needs AND the free drink made my long day PERFECT! I don’t travel this way very often but I will definitely remember this place and stay here as much as I can!! Also there’s a BBQ joint next door that I have heard nothing but good about

Always a nice hotel, but this time we planned a staycation with heavy pool time and we were surprised to see so little poolside furniture available Large gaps across the pool deck made lounges a rare commodityThe pool is very popular with guests so I can imagine we weren’t the only ones who were disappointed

Only one table umbrella for the whole pool area was also a missHope to see some improvement We’d love to come back

We reserved a DELUXE Double room that was so small we (2 small woman) had to put one of our suitcases on the refrigerator in order to walk around the room We chose this hotel because the weather was snowy/windy and cold and the Website indicated a restaurant, Beau Grill, in the Hotel WELL! The Beau Grill is NOT OPEN 7 days a week and was CLOSED on Monday so we had to travel out in bad weather to get Dinner!! I would NOT recommend this Hotel if you are expecting a HILTON Hotel experience

it was closer to Hotel 6

The hotel itself was nice, but I was upset that almost all the electric vehicle parking spots were occupied by ICE vehicles This was one of the main reasons why I picked this hotel, to charge during the night, and luckily I was able to take the last spot In the future I’d like to see better monitoring of these electric vehicle spots for EV’s, rather than internal combustion engine vehicles, and an increased number of J-1772 chargers potentially in the back corner of the hotel to avoid ICE vehicles parking in them

Such a neat house to stay, great getaway for a pleasant date night! The craftsmanship of the house is stunning, very clean rooms with comfy beds! Hailey the host was such a nice person to deal with booking the room The one mishap that we had wasn’t the fault of the house, room, or Hailey however she did handle that mishap right away if I could I would rate this place with 10 star rating, very pleased with our stay!

Lori Lovell

Thoughtfully furnished, Evelyn’s room provided everything we needed for a refreshing stay The sheets were incredibly soft, antique furniture beautiful, and the jet tub a pleasant surprise The room overlooks a private garden with a small pond

Very cleanBreakfast was wonderful, too – I’m still talking about the bacon-mushroom quiche days later We will definitely be back – thanks Hayley!

Was booking as a surprise for my husband I made reservations online This would be our first time at a B&B

I called n left a message as I had questions No response I tried a week later and still no one answered I emailed to cancel my reservation since no one called me back(I didn’t want to get there and not have a place to stay) I explained my experience Got a quick response “no problem, your reservation has been cancelled “ no apology, nothing! Clean and pleasant as any Hampton Inn usually is Very nice and friendly staffConvenient to the highway and lots of good places to eat

Breakfast was good as was a dip in the poolMy room was tight, especially for one with two queen beds in it, but I was on my own so it was good Room 101, while convenient, the constant sound of the elevator equipment immediately the other side of the wall was not fun Maybe a discount offer for this room would be appropriate I tuned it out but any light sleepers would not be pleased I was assigned this room through the app, my reservation made months ago An upgrade was available for another $40, that’s not coolIn summation, tight but clean and tidy room and a great staff made for a nice weekend I slept well and felt comfortable and safe herethank you to HI Middleburg Heights

Dawn Swan

We loved the vibe/decor of this location and its proximity to Cleveland Hopkins Int’l Airport Front Desk attendants were very warm, personable and helpful Our room was nice, and we appreciated all the amenities, but the mirror over the desk clearly hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived, a towel was backwards, a tile over the shower needs replaced, no bags in the trash cans seems unsanitary, one of the lamps was unplugged & we had no full-length mirror

Still, we recognize these are pretty minor, and our stay was comfortably restful

Pam

Mom and I were in Ohio to celebrate the Life of my Uncle, and Mom’s Brother We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Cleveland Airport/Middleburg Heights The Staff is exceptional

Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I have started staying at B&Bs instead of hotels when traveling, and this one was definitely one of our favorites The room was decorated beautifully and very clean The snacks and drinks available were convenient, and most of all, the breakfasts were delicious

Catherine and Kevin were so friendly; they were fantastic hosts! We were visiting my husband’s home town and next visit, I hope we’re able to stay here again

Leah Black

This bed and breakfast is fantastic! Beautifully decorated throughout, the cleanest rooms, and incredible hosts! They were extremely accommodating of my late and ever changing arrival time since I was driving across the country Fabulous allergy-friendly homemade breakfast with coffee and juice in the morning at a time of my choosing Comfortable, luxurious beds, very clean, well-appointed bathroom with a large shower

I had everything I needed and more, all while my Tesla charged overnight on the property I will definitely be back! A true 5-star experience

Brittany Cornelius

My husband and I celebrated his birthday weekend at Riverside Gables last month and it was just the peaceful getaway we needed as new parents The room was sparkling clean, the service was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious The house was filled with quaint charm and our candle lit breakfast table set for two had such a romantic feel

We loved strolling down the road to Mikes Bar and Grill for some good food and drinks and then enjoyed a very quiet night We hope to visit again soon!

We enjoyed staying here The suite room was clean and good for kids The bathroom could be cleaner

One of the reason that we have chosen this hotel is the free breakfast We understand due to the Covid, they prepare to go box However, when you don’t eat ham because of religious reason, you should respect it and find a solution for it The first day they gave us cheese and egg sandwiches They were very kind However, the last day the front desk girl says they give whatever in the bag which could be ham or cheese It was not kind and it is not what it is supposed to be if you offer free breakfast or you could give what people ask when you are willing to spare time to get egg and cheese sandwiches Big thanks to the front desk guy to quite her and went to the kitchen and grab what we were asking It is sad to feel for us and for our kids in this way if you cannot eat something else other than egg and cheese sandwiches due to the religious reasons I don’t want my kids to feel bad because of their choice of religions Overall it was good

Pet friendly rooms are disgusting I was traveling with my cats so was given a pet friendly room Upon entry the entire place smelled of animal urine

You could see stains on the floor as well where pets have used the carpet as their toilet The area most saturated with animal urine was in front of the bathroom which my cat ended up rolling in I had to bathe him afterwards he smelled so awful of urine from head to toe Even just walking on the carpet barefooted, my feet felt really gross Aside from that nastiness, the beds did not have any fitted sheets however they were comfortable The TV worked great, the shower/hot water worked great, and the amenities were nice The AC worked very well The front desk staff were very friendly as well I was just really disappointed in the cleanliness of the pet friendly rooms We pay an extra deposit for cleaning, you would think the rooms would’ve been in better condition They honestly need to rip up all of the carpets from those rooms to avoid animals having accidents on their floors and retaining all of the smells I’m only giving two stars because the room cleanliness really threw me off It just felt gross knowing that I had to put my things in that room, potentially coming out smelling like animal urine I am very grateful to the friendly staff upfront, but these rooms need more attention

Melissa R. Kosovich

I stayed by myself the night before my wedding, and my husband stayed with me that night Everyone congratulated us without us mentioning we’d just gotten married I think it was because I had mentioned it when I originally booked the room almost a year before

Everyone was super friendly, and kind I accidentally left my Fitbit in the room, and the process to reclaim it was very smooth Setting up a block of rooms for our guests was pretty easy too Would stay here again

When checking in, the front desk was having some major issues with making room keys because of a system malfunction They had to walk us up to our room to open doors for me Even the digital keys would not work

However, the staff was on it! Everybody pitched in, including the shuttle driver to get people in and out to rooms, fitness room, etc… I must have used them to open my door about 5 times but they did so with a smile and apologizing every time Phenomenal job in a bad situationThe rooms are clean but they should work on some finishing touches like the grout in the shower which were cracking and moldyHowever, due to the outstanding service, I give them a 5

NO EV CHARGING STATION!!! So upset We picked this hotel because we could charge our car overnight There are so many other hotels we would have stayed in with a charger

We had to drive 10 minutes back the way we just came, waste 20 minutes just sitting there instead of eating dinner, & drive 10 minutes back Great way to spend a Friday night We were told by the ladies at the front desk that they had told management about this and it’s still on the website If we had less than 10 miles on our car this would have been a really big issue

Autumn Snyder

Only reason I give it 4 stars is the pool is wicked tiny I mean small My daughter and I had to leave because a large group came in and there wasn’t anywhere to swim by ourselves, or even talk

The group that came in was only 8 people but the echo from them was enough to drive out anyone who would’ve been in the pool area If it would’ve only been me on my recent trip, 5 stars all around I don’t usually use the pool I’ll be back for sure!

Beautiful setting and lovely little hotel The best little motel I have stayed in of its type Quiet, out of the way of rumbling trucks

Like stepping back in time and staying at grandma’s well cared for tidy room, comfortable beds, clean and lovedWill stay here again and again

Connie Vincenzini

Clean, decent motel and family-run We would definitely stay here again The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was not noisy and worked perfectly

The ceiling fan kept the air circulating which was a plus The staff was very friendly and kind The TV is run on ROKU and was at first intimidating, but the staff helped us figure it out and it also worked perfectly Great experience all the way around

I was in town for the semi-annual Buckeye Firearms Association Youth Shoot weekend as a Rifle Coach/Instructor Since I live in NW Ohio, commuting was out of the question I had stayed in a “chain” hotel the previous time, and found it atrocious

I chose Bakers based upon reviews and the website I was not disappointed!! The building is an older building, which means thicker walls and less noise Check in was quick and easy The room was small and no frills such as coffee, shampoo, etc However, I’m not an advocate of the hotel soaps and shampoos so that was not an issue, and there was coffee in the office area It was comfortable, clean and quiet The room was made up for the next night – something that the chains seem to think is an option I am in the area twice a year, and will stay at Bakers when ever I’m in the Zanesville area

I picked this location because it had the most reasonable rates for staying with a dog Other hotels in the Cleveland suburbs charge huge (and non-refundable) fees for bringing a dog with you, and this was by far the best deal we found It turned out our dog stayed with a dog sitter and did not travel with us after all, but even still – this was a great nightly rate

This hotel is not a 5-star affair by any stretch, so let’s be real – but I was actually very pleasantly surprised Yes, the hallways still do have a lingering smell that you can tell people once smoked there a lot, but even with my super sensitivity to cigarette smoke, it wasn’t bad enough that I reacted to it Our room smelled completely fresh and the door shut out the cigarette smell completely Our room was very clean, the linens were clean and fresh, and the bed was free of any little unwelcome guests (checking for them is the first thing we do in any hotel) The bathroom was a little tight (small shower plus a toilet, sliding door, nothing fancy) but perfectly doable The sink was outside the toilet/shower area, which in reading reviews seems to bother some folks, but we’re perfectly fine with that We had a mini fridge and microwave in our room, so that was great too I wouldn’t say the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in at a hotel (kind of woke up stiff and sore) but it wasn’t unbearable We didn’t wake up early enough to get down for breakfast, so I can’t tell you what that was like, but I do like that check-out time was 11 so that gave us time to sleep in a bit and then get ready There’s ample parking as well, and we were able to park right outside our room windowI would definitely stay there again the next time we’re in town

Carmen Pferschy

From the very start the staff was friendly over the phone with scheduling our stay here for the night I love that they are pet friendly too To preface this review, I am a very fussy sleeper, but the beds here in my opinion are pleasantly comfortable (: I didn’t have to roll around much at all! We appreciated the value here at this Quality Inn

With a little more curb appeal and some minor updates this place would be even more of a gem Overall this location felt clean and pretty well managed

) In the cafe area fruit, coffee, and cookies are available all day!!! The continental breakfast was a great selection, friendly staff Really no complaints 😊I highly recommend coming here!

The hotel is beautiful inside and out The decor is modern We stayed in an accessible room

The room was large and comfortable The location is perfect for exploring Holmes county If you are looking for an hotel near chain restaurants, this is not the place for you However, if you are looking for a hotel for a quiet relaxing experience after a long day of exploring Amish country, I would recommend this hotel

The hotel itself was nice, I loved the room For the most part, it was clean and the breakfast was good The reason I am giving the hotel two stars is because I suspect theft after requesting room service from the hotel

I had a piece of jewelry tucked away before room service and after packing the jewelry box and bringing it back home we unpack it and a pair of earrings were gone from it I wouldn’t be so mad if they weren’t my grandmothers who had passed last year and the ones I wore in my wedding They were not worn or taken out the rest of the trip so who else would have taken them out? Just be mindful when staying here about your belongs and who enters your room!

Rooms seemed visibly clean at first, until we started noticing cup stains on counters, someone else’s hair on the nightstand, dirty counters behind ice bucket and coffee machine Hot tub was visibly filthy with smelly, musty water Scent used in hotel smelt clean at first, but started to make me feel sick after a few days

Could use some hot items on breakfast menu for the price Pool was fine, as well as fitness center Beds seemed clean and comfortable There was a small bug crawling on my son’s pillow – not sure if it was a bed bug or not No bites TV is in bad position in relation to beds Our daughter slammed her finger in the sliding bathroom door – has no stopper and slides very fast if not familiar with that kind of door like our daughter Staff pleasant Housekeeping friendly and accommodating

We found the hotel was clean, the room was spacious, and the staff was friendly Look at the pictures closely because the one bedroom is a studio room with a bathroom It’s not like Residence Inn or other Marriott properties where one bedroom is actually one bedroom

The only separation between a couch and bed is a desk with a tall backing On this basis, the room with two queen beds could be listed as a two bedroom
