The hotel was great for the price It was a cozy and clean room, and it seems secure Water in the shower heats up nice and fast

Bed was comfy Bring your own towels because theirs are fairly small And you also need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and blow dryer The area seems a little sketchy but the hotel is very safe I definitely recommend the parlor motel It was a nice stay and at a great price

Joe Hiskes

A nice motel in a not so nice neighborhood While, the outside not impress terribly, the rooms are very clean and well maintained The staff are super friendly and helpful as well

Parking lot is nice and gives some sense of security that the surroundings lack Despite being a motel, its actually better than many LA hotels Ive stayed at

Lisa is an amazing employee Her and Felicia make everything so easy! However the owner has a huge problem with families staying here and does not like it when you bring your pets with you Even if you pay the pet deposit and clean up after them

The owner owns all of the hotels in the Mojave, ca area All of my animals are service animals for my children

Tom Weber

I spent just one night here but management gave me a great corner suite which was clean & nice! The hotel was well-maintained, excellent staff, & daily breakfastI definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotels dedicated smoking section is the interior patio section where the pool is located The employees sit on the bench and smoke on the bench at the entrance I’m very sensitive to cigarette smoke and I have a newborn

When I asked them if they could move, the pointed out this was there designated areaThey were following policy but still something that forced us to leave Be advised if you have similar concerns

Stayed here with family to go to Universal Studios for a night and ended up staying for 3! They were flexible with check in and accommodating to store luggage when needed The rooms were clean and spacious Stayed in a queen bed and then a king bed room and they were great

They had a mini fridge and microwave It has great surrounding food places and walking distance to a small shopping area

My wife and I chose the El Royale Hotel in Studio City because of its proximity to Universal Studios We stayed for 3 nights and were upgraded to a King Suite upon arrival to our surprise The hotel owner was gracious; professional; concerned about our stay; and very accommodating to our needs

We were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of our room and enjoyed our stay immensely I would highly recommend staying at this establishment for a romantic getaway weekend for two, or for a trip to the Hollywood Studios It is close to great restaurants and all of the major Hollywood attractions The neighborhood is clean and feels safe Thank you for a great stay in Los Angeles

Mikayla V

My boyfriend and I’s first time staying here this past weekend and we loved it! We loved the gate that closes at night as we had a rental car, and it was a 10 minute walk to Universal Studios! Saved on so much gas There’s an awesome burger place near by, only 5 minute walk, and a delicious Waffle House ask a 5 minute walk away from this location The flowers are beautiful outside and the updated shower was nice on the inside as well

The check in was quick and the hosts gave up a walking map to Universal Studios They were very welcoming and friendly We will definitely be staying again!!

Long story short, we travel quite a bit – tried differ Hotels – usually we stay in 3-4 stars hotels, previous 3 hotels left us blank… Decided not to use hotels and that is what we did for the last years – Last night because of our friends we decided to give it one last chance The team serving this Best Western did a fantastic job, to “heal” our “wounds” from our past experiences

From the moment we got in Jasper met us with a smile and provided the most amazing service for us he “walked that extra mile” with us, was super nice and helpful The morning team was also friendly Can’t not leave Emma from the caffe without a compliment – will tell you that you do not get that kind of service in most of the restaurants, totally unexpected she was very kind and helpful – she was looking for the needs of all people there creating that graceful environment with her attitude and smile Last but not least important – the rooms were clean / smelled fresh and the food was better than we expected Thank you team for being awesome! And thank you management for finding and keeping those treasures

I would give this hotel a negative 5 if I could We checked inn approximately 9:55pm It took 20 minutes to make a keys, than we got up to the room & the key didn’t work, than I went back down stairs & key finally worked

We entered the room where the AC was turned off for couple days and temperature outside is 95 degrees at night We started the AC & it’s now been 15 hours and the room is still burning hot and the AC only works a little I went downstairs to get full refund & leave and she called the hotel manager whom said she would not refund us to leave, because we went in the room for 1 hour We have been sweating & suffering in the room for over an hour and its unbearable All we want is a place to sleep for the night Don’t come to this hotel it is a totally not in good shape and they are unbelievably not willing to accommodate We have 2 kids and 2 senior citizens my parents whom are suffering Stay away, This hotel is a waste of time & miserable

This place is great if you just need a place to lay your head and move on The rooms were clean and the staff was super nice and accommodating, but if you are staying here to attend an event or have any reason to get ready or put on makeup ( ladies) it’s almost impossible The lighting in the rooms is terrible! I really struggled trying to get myself put together for a wedding I was in and it made my entire experience very stressful

The layout of the rooms was odd too with the bathroom being segmented into 2 rooms

Priti Vaydande

The front desk is very insensitive and rudeI will not recommend this place at allI stayed for 2days in super 8 wid my husband and a toddler

The day of checkout my toddler was not keeping well and I called in for and extended checkout and was ready for the fee as well the front desk guy was very rude and said we cudnt stay even 5mins longer In the room, even a 5star hotel gives a extended check-out on request I dont know why did he refused inspite of telling him about my toddlers health RUBBISH attitude of the front desk guy with the long hair who was busy knitting, and didn’t care about our concern

This place is great Family owned Charlie the owner and his wife are great people always have a smile on their face and treat everyone as if the were family and their son nick is the same The put their hearts blood sweat and tears into making this place one you want to stay at

They have put alot of work into making it a nicer and more modern hotel as well Its one of my first choices when I travel to Mojave, but you have to be quick because of the peace and quiet they offer here they book up fast and it happens often (its been a long time since I’ve seen an empty parking lot) Its also trucker friendly with a big dirt lot to one side and the truck stop behind it

Guss Holguin

I’ve been coming to this little lodge for years I’ve just made my first visit in two years My own routine was the only reason I was away so long

I was thrilled to see that nothing has changed The rates are excellent Especially by the week It’s the perfect spot for workmen who need temporary extended lodging Rooms are all you could ask for Impeccably clean, spacious, comfortable Plenty of eating places and a major food store in walking distance Quiet and serene And most of all, the fine, fine people, a family, that operates the motelI’ll be a patron for as long as I need them And they will always be first on my list

One of the best Best Westerns I’ve stayed at in a long time Easy secured parking right off the street ($10) Impeccable service from everyone encountered

Room was clean and comfortable Location is convenient Very covid aware, enforcing the rules Continental breakfast was adequate enough I definitely would not hesitate staying again

Haeyoon Park

Pros:-Proximity to Korean restaurants or groceries-Complimentary breakfast (coffee, yogurt, oatmeal, waffles,etc)-beds were okayCons:-Staff were not rude, but not very attentive or friendly, either-the A/C smelled so moldy & I hated the fact that we had to keep that thing running, as the musty smell from the filthy carpet got even worse when the room was humid-Soundproof? Very little

-Extremely limited parking They recommended 2 options for this, street parking overnight (in Ktown? no thanks) or paid parking lot 2 blocks away ($25/night)

MisticTea Ranger

It was strangest experience Being told that the reservation was payed for, but it was and had to pay a 2nd time Had to close the closet door and whoever we left the room

We came back to the closet doors way open We don’t know who was trying to get into our stuff Eventually we also wanted our rooms to be cleaned for the 2nd day Nothing was cleanedIt was left how it was Very poor and suspicious serviceI don’t think we’ll come back because it was the most horrifying experience to ever feel like away from home and not feel safe at all

The room is big Had 2 beds a table with 2 chairs and a chair and ottoman With all the furniture the room didn’t tell cluttered

Beds and pillows are comfy Plenty of lighting The air conditioner works great!Bathroom is spaciousThe only problem was the carpet is super dar I kept losing my stuff, the bathroom needs serious updates I have arthritis in both knees and the toilet is so low I was afraid I couldn’t get back up The shower took forever to get hot and then to keep it one temp was a challenge I did love the dispenser in shower with shampoo, conditioner,& bath gel Nice touch! All in all quiet, clean comfortable room

Christopher Lewis

Best western used to be a good stay for a reasonable price Not anymore Showed up and they would not let my wife check in until I arrived, we are moving and driving separate cars

15 minutes on the phone with her/them and they made me FaceTime with them and show an ID over FaceTime all while she was dealing with a 9 month old When she got into the room the AC didn’t work They were quick to fix within 10 minutes There was no hot water so we had to take cold showers and could not bath the baby There was so much noise from other people and the trains that I got about 4 hours of sleep For $130 a night, plus a $25 pet fee, so $155 a night it was not better than a motel 6 that would have cost $60 a night I’m not sure I will visit another Best Western if I have a choicePlace was clean and breakfast was good Honestly I should have put her on the room when I made the reservation so that one might be on me, to be fair

Parry S

This place is great! Clean large rooms with lots of amenities! Accommodations for animals, free breakfast, pool, and friendly staff Also lots of parking for cars with trailers! They made my day, because of an unexpected breakdown in one of our convoy vehicles Would definitely stay here again, if ever passing through! Keep up the good work DesertWinds!

This was a nice hotel in a place that’s “out there” for a Los Angeles inhabitant I stayed in a hole in the wall place in Mojave once before so I was surprised to find this dog friendly, real hotel in the area The rates were reasonable, the dog fee very reasonable compared to many I’ve paid and the included hot breakfast was adequate

They have a pool and exercise room but I don’t know any details about them The room was spacious and comfortable The mattress was firm and the room was clean There were a lot of channels on the TV, including the HBO channels I would give them a 5 if they installed some sort of air filtration system in the hallways which smelled of smoke Our room was OK but the hallway stank If I stay in Mojave again, I’ll be booking a room here (with a caveat to be far from the smoke smelling area)

Nick Dunford

I was terrified All of the online reviews said the pool was closed or that smoking would be an issue or there were issues with their room My father insisted that it was a good place so against my wishes we brought 2 of my kids including one with terrible asthma

It was the best hotel we stayed in on our trip from BC to Palm Springs by far! The breakfast was decent, the room was great and they let us have free reign of the pool I loved our stay here They really seem to be doing some major beneficial renovations to the property

Deborah Emarine

Exceptionally nice hotel and affordable Clean and comfortable, staff is friendly Only complaint was the pool and whirlepool did not have the heater on, as it is so hot during the day, but cool at night so it would have been nice to sit in a warm whirlpool

Roomy, comfortable and quite
