DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEYIf I could give lower than 1 star I absolutely would This hotel does not deserve to have Wyndham in the title Got in in the middle of night for a 3 day reservation

Got our room Unloaded car Looked around Loaded car back up and drove to Madera for a much better and clean hotel This hotel had stains on everything! Every piece of bedding, floors, and even lampshades There were used paper towels under the supposed desk All the furnishings must have been original to hotel with how terrible they were There were so many scratches and so much dirt it was not even funny The bathroom didn’t even have a shower curtain The toilet tank was broken and I don’t even want to guess what was all over the wall behind the door The mirror even had duck tape holding it together At least I think they tried to blend that in There was so much dirt on floors and behind nightstands so don’t bother trying to find an electric outlet Fridge definitely wasn’t even turned on I was afraid to even take my shoes off much less stay there it was so filthy

FALSE ADVERTISEMENTHad made reservations for this hotel; 1 because of the price & 2 because the pool says that it is open “year round” apparently that is untrue because when i called the hotel to ask if the pool was open, they replied “no”

We wanted to go a day early so our kids could enjoy the “year round” pool with the hot weather Chowchilla is supposed to have this weekend but ended up canceling & choosing a hotel without a pool but with much better reviews

Zach Pobanz

This was the hotel time forgot Pool was smaller than pictured, though we didn’t use it The wall socket behind the beat up night stand was falling out of the wall

The tub had obvious ring around the tub and was probably the original bath tub from when the hotel was built, 20+ years ago Paint was peeling off the ceiling and walls I wish I would have spent the extra 80 bucks and stayed at the holiday Inn across the street On Saturday morning when I got up and went downstairs for the advertised and touted continental breakfast it did not exist The beds were like sleeping on bedrock and the pillows were more like half pillows, they looked and felt like throw pillows from a couch False advertising all around, this is not some place I would recommend at all

Easily 5 stars for the campground Spacious sites, quiet, very well maintained and an excellent staff of rangersTwo problems though: 1) Eastman Lake is almost gone

The drought has taken a tremendous toll on it And (2) Rattlesnakes There are A LOT of them! Beware!

We love it here! It’s been beautiful, cool mornings pretty hot this time of year but not until 2:30pm And they usually last till about 6:30 so it’s not too bad There’s been a lot of beautiful wildlife some wild turkeys cottontails, lots of hawks and lizards even a raccoon can hear the coyotes at night and there’s some tadpoles in the water near the rocksWe’re enjoying a spot that has full hookups for our travel trailer, our children are enjoying the playground

the showers I’ve been really nice the water pressure and the temperature have been great The current hosts have been exceptional and answering all of our questions and helping us to enjoy our time here We originally only booked a couple of days but liked it so much when we got here that we extended our stay another 4 daysIt will definitely be coming back again, hopefully we’ll have an opportunity to check out the area in the winter time the hosts told us that it’s gorgeous!

I stayed here with about a month ago and I think it is a decent place I had no expectations and was glad that the price was not high The stay was comfortable and quick

There was breakfast as they detailed There are great and friendly staff there Despite a few insects I saw in the restroom, I felt safe and okay staying here for a weekend It was a money-saving stay and nothing extensive to notify future guests about I would return under the conditions that I again wanted to save money and know that I will not utilize many feature/functions My stay with family here for the weekend was to merely have a place to return to after my commencement A plus is the variety of food options nearby and in close proximity from convenience food to restaurant next door to fast food places across the street It was a good experience and a decent stay

penguin squad

We were told to check out as they had accepted a reservation for the room we were staying in We weren’t ready to check out and weren’t even notified in advance How inconsiderate of a business that meant to be lodging to put families in that situation

I told them I don’t have transportation to relocate They said I could have 2 extra hours yet once 11 am came they constantly knocked on the door Basically they absolutely did not care about customers health, safety or well being or personal property It really seems like certain motels are purposely playing games like this forcing people to leave behind their property They should at the least store your belongings till you can pick them up if they decide to rent out the room your renting Very unprofessional Your renting a space to live in and store your belongings temporarily but there is supposed be a sense of security that your belongings are secure Instead your told you have 2 hours to relocate with no transportation and you and your kids get to go through your stuff deciding what you can carry and what your gonna have to throw away Then your sent walking on 100° day walking with your bags

Nicole E

The rooms are decent if you get one of their nice ones Though they have rooms that are for Internet reservations only so they match the pictures They reserved our room off to someone else while we were renting it which is unprofessional of a lodging service provider

I told them I wasn’t able to relocate with no notice and no transportation They did say I could have 2 extra hours to pack up then proceeded to knock on the door at the regular time anyway They should of offered transportation or to store guests property in that kind of situation

This hotel is nice Our room was clean and pretty comfortable The staff was very friendly and helpful

The breakfast is a full hot breakfast (as of July 2022) and with a good selection I overall recommend staying here, and the only reason I rated it 4 instead of 5 is because it’s just good and not exceptional If i could rate it 45, i would

Daniel Cone

Was told upon arrival at first that our reservation wasn’t able to be found, then was told our form of payment wouldn’t be accepted Day 2, we received exceptional service from Patrick and again our 3rd day He went above and beyond to give us a stress free stay

Breakfast was good and several options plus continuous cleaning of breakfast area while guests were coming and going Parking was easy and plenty, beds were average comfort The TV had issues several days as well which is worth noting Close to many businesses and food options though plus main roads nearby

Jan Bevilacqua

Comfort Suites River Park was exactly what I needed in a hotel: value, cleanliness, and comfort The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was so comfortable I had the most restful sleep Great location, 3 minutes away from the reason I needed to be in town, 5 minutes away from River Park shopping district, directly next door to a Costco

I can’t vouch for rooms facing the street, but I had a room facing the back parking lot and it was very quiet, which was nice Good value compared to prices of other hotels in the city, and the King Suite was the same price as the regular King Room at the time I booked The free breakfast had something for everyone: made-to-order waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, etc Coffee was offered both during breakfast and in the lobby all day If you’re traveling for work and connectivity is a priority, there were plenty of power outlets in the room, the wi-fi was strong and consistent, and the King Suite had adequate work space I would definitely stay here again

Excellent place Staff and rooms were awesome The little bar in lobby has great service and a nice little place to sit and get out of the room

The only thing that keeps this from 5 stars is the Pool It is an excellent pool and very cleanhowever, they add straight hose water in the morning making the pool very cold in the morning Perhaps they could do that at night after the hot daythen is has a chance to equalize for the morning swimmers

Mrs. Medina

This is a very nice looking hotel There’s plenty of space and our bathroom was huge It looks like they had a bar downstairs, plenty of lounging area, a pool, printing station, laundry, vending machine, ice machine and a gym

There’s free breakfast with nice choices They had fruit, yogurt, bread, muffins, waffle maker, bacon, eggs, coffee, tea, juices, milk, cereal and maybe more that I’m forgetting The only issue I had at all was that the bathroom door was very large and mostly glass Even though it was a rippled glass you could still see the general shape and colors of people while they’re undressing, dressing or even using the toilet lol I didn’t want my older kids seeing me through the glass

DArcy Demianoff-Thompson

Absolutely loved this facility I am mobility challenged The bathroom was, hands down, the best one ever

The personnel are kind, helpful, and resourceful I had my dog with me and the personnel were loving and adorning towards her It made life so much easier I didn’t feel like I had to worry about anything during my stay And the breakfast options were super I wish I could have written down names to recognize the personnel’s accomplishments Suffice it to say- I had a great experience

Excellent place to stay, very clean inside and out (as it should be) beds very comfortable, no unpleasant smells, actually room smelled nice, parking lot with enough space to park our truck, pool was clean and nice, ( not to mention people leaves trash because some individuals are not polite to pick it up) but it was nice to swim around 😀, the bathroom in the room was in excellent condition, with big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash to take a shower, I’ll keep staying in this hotel in the future for sure I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE ENJOY YOUR STAY

!!!

Melissa McCann

I booked two nights here for $450 because Holiday Inn is usually pretty nice and the options in Chowchilla aren’t great I pulled out the hide a bed and there were bugs and crumbs I didn’t even pull it all the way out and could clearly see they were bed bugs

I understand things like this happen so I packed up all our stuff and let the front desk know(politely) We were in the room maybe an hour The girl at the desk was nice and said she would let her manager know and kept apologizing I called today and spoke with the manager,Kayla, who told me she personally checked the room and there were no bedbugs and my pictures were too blurry They will not refund me Not even one night She said there is nobody above her except corporate and they won’t speak to customers I am so upset and disappointed in the lack of customer service I’m not seeking a freebie I wasn’t even offered a different room My kids and I literally slept on the floor of our empty house because I didn’t want to get bedbugs in our stuff I understand that they don’t care about me or my business but as a single mom $450 is a lot of money in these times I will be contacting corporate, BBB, and the health department as well If you do decide to stay here make sure you video tape everything because my pictures weren’t good enough

Kevin Cumiskey

Check in was fantastic Front desk made the stay great Would of been more stars if not for some setbacks

Bathroom door was shut when we arrived in room-upon opening-smell of death 💀💀 came out Rotten pipes possibly Could hear water leak inside walls when other shower was running Damage to bathroom was extensive No water pressure And to boot random bugs would appear in the bathroom Room otherwise was clean Rate was a little out of whack for area but it was Easter weekend

Narrow and uncomfortable rooms Difficult to walk around room with 2-3 people Shower with below average water pressure

Impossible to have a cool shower because you have to turn water to hot in order to get the meager pressure that it producesIce machine only on bottom floor Water dispenser empty, not refilled Elevator is hot, hot, hot!Below par breakfast, skip and go buy a decent mealI will not stay again

chris ferguson

I usually don’t complain since the price is under 100$ per night with breakfast but the first day the elevator stopped working / stuck while we were in it ( staff knew about it ) and the keys didn’t work to our room twice

had to go up / down 3 floors each time there was a problem also if you don’t have them clean your room and need new towels, you have to deliver them to the laundry basket downstairs and exchange them with verification of each towelAnd today breakfast closed at 9 am not 9:30 as posted and front staff was in disbelief as well New name is Below Quality Inn !!

Very nice hotel for a Holiday Inn express Room was clean and smelled good Hotel has a beautiful lobby and office space

Breakfast was available, at opening the orange juice was empty, apple juice ran out and they at less than one bowl of oatmeal The person whom was making breakfast set up said they were out of everything, but looked as if he was just running late Check in was a littleslow but I think the young lady was new and being trained I would recommend staying here if in town Madera does not have many nice hotels but this one was an exception ( now if they could just get the Breakfast worked out)

This is my go to when I go to Merced Property very clean along with the entire room The smell when I walked into room 136 was amazing

Smelt of bleach and cleanliness 😊 Being a business owner of a housekeeping business this is a must when I stay away from home The only con I had was the bed was very firm Other then that it was a amazing place to spend my weekend especially for the price 😁 Will return when I’m in Merced again The customer service was on point as well

Karen

We arrived after 11pm and they did not have overnight service, therefore, a family member had to pick up the keys Also, once we arrived there was no parking to be found I know this Travelodge is older but there is a difference between old and filthy

As you can see from the pictures, the floors were not cleaned and there was hair and dirt from previous guestsThe cabinets and walls were also stained/dirty After driving for 10 hours, this is not what I expected Unfortunately, I was disappointed especially for paying almost $500 for two nights

Michael Reber

I reserved a room with a king bed but given a room with 2 doubles Manager was rude Told me to only sleep in one bed and I could not have visitors

I told him I was not a smoker and I was in town on business by my self but he kept repeating that I could not smoke or have people in my room The heater in the room did not work very well I stayed three nights and there was no room service I would not stay here again

The rooms were nice but the upstairs neighbors were crazy loudI would have given this 5 stars based on the breakfast because it was amazing for a hotel I just wish I’d have got the top floor that I originally chose in the app then was told when I got there that they only had 1st and 2nd floor

Lovely clean room, location is close to the freeway and train tracks so it can be a little noisy for light sleepers Really nice staff and also offers breakfast My main issue is that I was looking for a hotel with a heated pool

I called them around 11:30am and verified with a guy over the phone I then booked my room a couple of minutes later for 2 nights When I arrived and got settled in, I went down to the pool and was told it wasn’t heated This hotel was a little more expensive than another one I usually stay at but I didn’t mind because of the pool so I was really upset I ended up checking out early Other than that, I did have a good nights sleep

Laura Richter

The sheets were so soft The room was enormous Very quiet

Slept very wellHad to get off the freeway, cut thru town and get back on the freeway in the opposite direction to get to the required exit So that was weird but it was immediately visible from the freeway which was excellent and reassuring after the oddball directions to get there

Catalina in the front lobby was super amazing, she was very professional and had excellent customer service! The rooms were clean however have a funky smell sort, carpet is super dirtyBreakfast is from 6:30AM-9:30AMWe were getting the last of our breakfast at 9:31 and the housekeepers started shutting everything down I had the worst experience ever, the skinny Hispanic blonde kicked us out(front desk attendant)

She said it was now closed and we had to go eat in our room There was another couple whom had already turned in their key and they told them to go eat in the lobby From other experiences I had never been asked to leave, normally they let you stay a few extra minutes It was because the housekeepers wanted to sit down and eat In my opinion the front desk attendant was rude and very sarcastic She made me not want to stay there again They should hire more friendly people, the housekeepers didn’t earn their tip Hope you have a better experience:/Replying: I was not bothered by your hard working staff, they just weren’t friendly Hey but be realistic your front staff gets paid better than them You think we don’t know that they’re underpaid They probably don’t even get paid $16 an hour! I’ve asked around and had a chance to speak to other hotel staff If you really value them you should pay them more!

Megan Cortright

Motel charged me twice And then lied about how many days it would be to be refunded The room smelt like moldy wet floor and the bed was highly uncomfortable as one side seem to be very worn or you had to lay at an angle to feel like your not slipping off one side and couch smelt horrible

The maids do an ok service but I was disappointed overall by the carpet smell in the room with the hot tub They need to have the carpet replaced or at least the housekeeping needs to be better kept

Overall a good place to stayPros: The room was perfectly clean Good value for the price

Shower was decent Pretty pictures on the walls, and the crown molding around the ceiling was fancier than the rest of the room!Cons: It’s near the railroad tracks and freeway so the outside sounds are a little loud, and the climate control unit in the room was noisy The bed was a little dished out in the middle but not horrible

Great motel for the price! The room was clean, spacious and contemporary feeling Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room, plus one pot’s worth of coffee provided Shower had piping hot water with good pressure

Bed was comfy and the blankets and linens felt better than expected at such a cheap placeThe only downsides were that the towels were kind of dingy, and it’s right off the freeway so it was kind of noisy But I sleep with earplugs anyway, so it didn’t matter I would definitely stay here again!

Booked through Hotelscom Very misleading score of 7

6 stars Was told no charge until I arrived? however, when I did arrive, they told me they had charged my card for one of the two rooms, one of the two nights oh well, whatever, right? wrong at first glance room was fairly decent, until I noticed small clusters of tiny spiders in corners on bathroom counter Ok, cleaned them outmoving on Took a shower the first night and discovered they don’t mop the laminate wood floors, because when I walked from the bathroom to the bed, all of a sudden my party white feet were BLACK with who knows how many years worth of dirt! But, that’s not the worst part My husband had been itching like crazy since we for into the room(he had laid on the bed after our 3 hour drive) and my backside and back of thighs felt like I was being bitten (as I sat in one of their uncomfortable chairs at the desk to work) Brushed it off as just being tired from traveling and went to bed Woke up to horrible red raised bites and blood spots all over the sheets Yep Bed Bugs Promptly showered and dressed and bagged anything that would have touched cushioned surfaces, grabbed our kids from the other room, and left Horrible

Jo Nobody

The room looked wonderful Nice Location was there for a total of 3 dayswell on my 2nd nighti broke out in hives was itching basically going crazy on the 3 day i couldnt take it no more so i sought medical attentionturns out i had the worst attack of bedbugs the doctor has ever seen never again i went back to the hotel And tried to speak with management and guess what i found out the fairbridge has theworst customer service ever

We had a nice clean room, it was clean and safe environment, very comfortable, exactly what we were expecting just what we were looking for after a long tiring drive We been all over the states and had horrible experiences, but the customer service here that Valerie gave us was the best Overall she was very nice, friendly, full of love she wanted to satisfy us to our needs

Definitely would recommend and stay here again 💯🙏❤️

I felt welcome the moment I walked into the hotel The front desk assistant (Vallie, varie, or Valerie, i am not sure exactly), was amazing She made me feel safe, and gave me a room near where I could park

The breakfast was also good, I likes the biscuit and graveyIt is right off the highway so, I didn’t lose much time
