Sadly this hotel did not meet expectations Upon arrival my family and I became aware that we were next to a strip club The lobby was highly scented, which I liked but people with sensitivities surely would not

We came to understand why there was cologne everywhere when we got to the room The first room we were offered had a horrible wet musty smell I refused to stay in there The front desk staff was very nice, helpful and understanding offering us another room That room had a portable dehumidifier in it Clearly this hotel has water damage that is not being fixed I booked through a 3rd party and notified them and the front desk I would not be staying here and was informed by both the third party and the front desk that a refund would be issued when the manager, Juan, was back on property on Monday Juan gave the 3rd party the run around and made it very difficult to connect with him I then called personally No response Finally after much persistence on my end, that I just wanted a refund due to the fact we did not actually stay on the premises, it was resolved But NOT in a professional, timely manner Very disappointed

I wish I could give this zero stars for the property itself and the manager Juan The staff is incredibly friendly so I feel bad for them but this hotel suffers from a moisture issue which is causing mold and mildew, and an unpleasant smell in the lobby and rooms To combat this, management is pumping in large amounts of perfume to mask the odor which initially is quite pleasant but becomes overpowering in a few minutes and caused us headaches

Rooms were full of mold in any crevace areas and had portable dehumidifers which was alarming to say the least Just don’t stay here, it’s in a terrible part of town anyway

mark malanowski

Stayed overnight with my loved one The room was clean but the lights flickered all night The ac was not working well and left the room completely damp feeling

The shower had no inside curtain The elevator felt like it would give out everytime someone came in The sound of it was really bad and loud Woke up to a homicide next door gun shots being heard at 5:30am definitely will not be back

Overnight stay 5/21/22 Because of long drive got to hotel early 11am , check in wasn’t until 3pm Told clerk would have to sit in lobby until we could get in room

Within 30 minutes Clerk advised room was readyChancey did excellent job in helping us out Overall hotel is under renovations and room was across from two rooms they were renovating Workers did not quit until 6/7pm Heard all the banging, dropping of toolsetc until quitting time Breakfast was very good and breakfast host Hasina was very friendly and professional Not to bad of a stay would probably stay there again

Airport shuttle which is great Not sure if the driver speaks English, he never said a word except “thank you” when I tipped him 🙂 Breakfast is good and the morning host was quite pleasant

The bed sleeps well and the room is spacious Only thing bothered me was housekeeping knocking on my door before check-out 10:57, I had already called to let them know I was taking advantage of my membership and checking out late 20 minutes later another knock I strongly suggest leave a tip for housekeeping, they deserve it I appreciated leaving my luggage while the shuttle took me to the car rental It was most kind of him to suggest it, not knowing I would have a walk Of course I tipped himMost likely I will visit this location again

Beware of the cancellation policy If your flight is canceled, they don’t care You will lose your deposit, one night’s stay, or reward points

Do not book this hotel until the very last minuteWhen our flight was canceled, we needed to change two other hotel nights, a tour, and a rental car All were past the cancellation deadline This is the only place that refused Therefore when I rebook this trip, I will not be staying here and I will happily rebook with all of the others Great housekeeping staff at this hotel—I was here for a week last summer Never again, unless I’m literally in the parking lot ready to check in

These have been challenging times over the past two years when unfortunately we were not able to travel We were grateful to have the opportunity to stay with you again Your hotel was superb! All of your staff were incredible! The front desk staff were very kind and patient under some very demanding circumstances

Every area of the hotel was exceptionally clean and Anna and the cleaning staff were really amazing and helpful We plan to come to Florida next December and also in 2023 We hope to see you again at that time

Patricia Previtera

Great location Easy to get on and off the interstate Beds were very comfortable and had extra pillows which was nice

Rooms have many built in storage features, besides being spacious Breakfast had a nice variety This hotel was very clean! I noticed that the staff in the dining area made it a point to greet people Very good value and one of the nicest Hampton’s I have stayed at

Me Myself And I

Our stay was great with the exception of some of our encounters with the front desk They can stand to be a little more friendly and welcoming The front desk crew changed often and we did have some great encounters with a few and I would be remiss to leave that part out

Outside of that the stay was great Just needs a little tweaking with customer service skills with some of the staffThe grounds were well kept, breakfast was good just missing whipped cream and bacon…lol I would recommend this hotel

This location is excellent Bar none excellent I got a last minute booking to avoid staying at a disaster of another hotel in town

Staff has been pleasant at every single opportunity, the reception managed to find a slightly cheaper rate for me without having to ask, breakfast was well spread with plenty of options, and Hasina was incredibly on point She was eager to attend to every guests’ needs, but more importantly, she respected when a guest asked to self serve and be left to his own devices You often see staff who are so eager to do right that they end up ignoring guests’ needs in the process, so it was excellent to see Hasina hear, recognize, and respond accurately by giving that one guest a wide berth and continuing to provide care to every other guest in the room She has definitely been a highlight of my brief stay

This is not a staff issue This is a management issue Teach your staff how to greet people

Offer the amenities you purport to offer Add more than four seats at the pool Quit trying to make money by saving on cleaning staff Those are all management decisions Don’t blame your staff if you don’t empower them Seems like a big case of cheap and micro managing

Joshua Cartlidge

Rooms were basic Had a stove but didn’t offer or have an pans/cups/anything in the room or have any availablePlaces were close by which is good

Most people I saw working there and spoke too acted like they didn’t want to be there

Families be aware, safety is a concern here For weeks, a group of men stayed here and everyday they drink alcohol and leave beer cans and bottles everywhere around and in the property Some of these men verbally harassed me while they were drunk and my partner reported it to the hotel staff

Nothing got done, the men still get drunk in the parking lot or pool, leave their alcoholic drinks behind, and harass women If the hotel cared about its guests and/or reputation, it would have kicked these people out by now There are families with children that come here, these types of guests should not be permitted

First time staying at this particular hotel I loved it Even though it was 12 miles away from the convention center, I didn’t mind the drive because it is a world better than the hotels right by the convention center

I loved the location Staff was very nice and eager to assist with whatever you needed Exactly what you would expect from a Marriott property I will stay there again and hopefully Plantation Walk will be open Very nice!

I have stayed over 1,000 nights at a Marriott branded Hotel This Hotel is significantly below average compared to other Sheratons I stayed atLet me first start with a positives

The guy in the club lounge was super curious, responsive and wanted to help Excellent service mire commonly found in Asia or Latin America that the United States The lobby gets lots of natural light and it appears was remodeled not too long ago It’s got your standard breakfast area, a little bar and some conference rooms There’s a fountain outside and there’s plenty of parkingThe reason why I’m getting this two stars is because the rooms are just very old and kind of dirty For example, there is scum in mildew all over the bathroom Another example of the coffee table was scratched up Except for the mattress, it felt more like a old courtyard Marriott than a Sheraton The room is large as you would expect in a suite but again in bad need of updating The drapery seem like it came from the 1990s The shampoo and soap they give you is from big bottles of fixed to the shower wall There’s some hygiene risk there given I’m sure they don’t replace the whole bottle after every guestI have included photos so you can judge for yourselfThe AC unit was loud and didn’t respond to the thermostat very well I think I might have caught a head cold or something after two nights

Maggie Lou

Did a weekend staycation, this hotel is located in the heart of the upcoming area of Plantation Walk For that reason, make sure you get a parking pass because they do ticket cars There is security patrolling the area on a cart

Just a reminder parking isn’t free The staff were really nice and helpful The Sheraton Suites appears to be renovated from the outside and lobby area There are places were upgrades can occur such as the pool and hot tub area The room was nice but it has it quirks like turning the switch down to turn on the light, the noise the sink makes, the struggle opening the closet, and the movement of the refrigerator when you opened it They have a dining area where they serve breakfast, Starbucks, and a small bar Aside for a sign saying they have a breakfast buffet, if you don’t inquire about its most hush-hush There were not many people eating meals when I pass by in the morning or evening If there was a menu available in the room or during check-in, I’m sure they would have more people The hotel was reasonably priced but certain days the price fluctuates tremendously especially weekends and holidays

YuckNo hot chocolate Not even the single packetsDefinitely a work location (not near any attractions)Its lakeside, nice looking outsideDid not visit weight room or pool but they have both

Happy Girl

The room looked nice However, there were dozens of small black bugs by the sink and coffee machine We asked to move to another room

The second room on another floor had the same issue The third room we got moved to still had the bugs but less of them They were also at the front desk I’m dissatisfied with this location due to the bugs and now I don’t feel comfortable eating the breakfast there since there are bugs on that floor too Not a good experience

Jennifer AMADOR

The hotel is a very nice place, the rooms are huge This is a pet friendly hotel they need to tell guests they are staying in a pet friendly floor or room

I had to ask if there were animals in the room as I am allergic to pet hair and dander I was wheezing and coughing the whole visit, I literally went through a whole inhaler I just feel they should notify guests or ask if they are ok staying in a room that has had animals stay

The bathroom tub is very dirty looking The shower curtain smelled like mildew The room smelled like mildew as well

The shower liner was super short I guess I got what I paid for I did not say anything to the front desk, I was so tired from my travel and I didn’t want to deal with it The breakfast was not good the boiled eggs was super over cooked to the point it was rubbery And the yogurt I got was expired (I did call and notify the front desk) The front desk and kitchen clerks are all very nice and professional This hotel just doesn’t match the people working her

Dusty Ashford

Not the best Not the worst The beds were not very comfortable

Felt like I was spring in a trampoline Our tub dripped all night and anything you needed in the way of towels or pillows you have to get yourself And oddly enough there were 3 towels and no wash rags In a lighter note, it smells great in the lobby, the breakfast is decent, and the ride to the airport is very convenient

Dee Michelle

Nice basic rooms Clean! Free hot breakfast and parking is a plus Location is ok

Not much to do in walking distance but a few ordinary fast food spots This is the 1st Fairfield Inn I’ve personally visited that doesn’t offer microwaves in the rooms Only in “Suites” which I can’t understand and is a major inconvenience for me I don’t appreciate having to go to the lobby to warm food The should at least offer 1 microwave per floor preferably near ice machine area or brought up by request since budget doesn’t allow one for each room I choose this location as a last resort due to the microwave issue

Best local Broward hotel I have been at so far I had a room on the 5th floor which had a great view of the Hard Rock Guitar hotel in Hollywood, the Miami Dolphins Stadium and the downtown Hollywood buildings etc in the distance

The room featured a large window, microwave, small refrigerator which was great as many higher end hotels don’t always offer microwave and refrigerator As an added bonus, free breakfast was included dailyAs some have mentioned, there is an occasional odor mainly when outside due to a sewer plant down the street but did not impact my stay Will definitely be returning Highly recommended

Nice property, rooms were really bigThe breakfast its free and good enought! Our room was accesible and the o ly inconvenience was the bathroom get’s really soak with a small showerNice stay

Hotel is old Bed was very uncomfortable Lumpy and too soft

Pillows were lumpy and so thin they offered no support AC wasn’t working well Room temperature was just below 80, even hallway was cooler This was one of the worst Hampton Inns I’ve stayed inStaff was friendly but poor room quality couldn’t be overcome I would not recommend

Morgan m

One of the best Hampton Inn I have stayed at Down on business, manager helped me with tweaking my last minute reservations Breakfast was better than quite a few other Hamptons I’ve stayed at

Every location will be different for sure, but cleanliness, accommodating, and flexibility wise they are doing it rightWill definitely stay here again next time I am in town

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Our rooms were clean The shuttle service was great! Mr James was helpful and even gave us great suggestions to visit while in the area

Mr Mario and Ms Brittany had excellent customer service We were very impressed with the free breakfast and the social hour Mr Tom gave us a pleasant ride to the airport after we checked out! Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed here before and it was great so we booked with them again A Big Regret!! The room had a strong urine scent as if it was strictly a restroom for pets We had to keep asking for towels because the room wasn’t being cleaned

All blacks was placed on one floor (level 4 to be exact) It was easy to notice because I literally stay by the front desk to scan papers for work I could go on and on but the icing on the cake is my family leaving that dump with a rash on our skin Oh and they billed us twice, yet still haven’t received our funds back

I booked a room nearby 9 months ago, the day of I was told they were unable to accommodate my dog and I I arrived at the Staybridge Suites in desperate need of a two week stay The gentleman working the front desk was extremely understanding and helpful in making this work for us

I knew it was a stretch but he was able to find a suite for a reasonable price(considering I was desperate and needed it that night) I’m so glad the other hotel didn’t work out The rooms at the this hotel were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was AMAZING They went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting South Florida I later found out the gentleman who helped me was actually the Assistant General Manager, Mr Lowe’s customer service was superb!
