LIGHTHOUSE INN address: 9140 Gulf Shore Dr, Naples, FL 34108 We stayed in this Run-Down Property 08/06 – 08/08 2022 Upon arriving at 2:30pm there’s NOBODY to greet you, in the small office, on the outside was a paper stuck to the window with my last name , saying go to room 2 , door is opened, check in later

so we went to room 2 , as we are trying to put our bags inside , I hear a constant knock at the door , surprise a gentleman called Roberto, wanted me to go pay immediately for the room, I’ve been at property for 5 minutes, Roberto charged my card for the two nights in advance The Room has only a Window a/c in the main room, which does NOT cool the entire room “ DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY”We were not informed that there was construction on the main adjacent roads, directly on the parking lot, every time we left or arrived , we got our shoes & sandals FULL OF MUD… Finally On our check date , at 8:00am , a crew started using a powerful blower , outside our window blowing grass He’d just mowed, All Over our beach chairs and towels I went to the small office , IT WAS CLOSED OF COURSE” so I had to figure out who was in charge in the property “ ROBERTO & AMY “ Roberto was nowhere to be found , so I asked Amy , she was pushing taking trash out, “ SHE WAS IN CHARGE” of the property , REMEMBER ITS MONDAY MORNING, I ask her for an additional HOUR for checking out, Amy Replied “ Sorry “ room is already booked… really?? It’s All a lie We hurried , checked out and went for breakfast, passed by this RUN DOWN PROPERTY and the parking lot , is completely empty… So Amy denied an extra hour for checking out, after we were awakened by the air blower crew…… OUR CAR WAS SO DIRTY FROM THE CONSTRUCTION IN THE PARKING LOT, our car carpet had mud from our shoes … PLEASE FELLOW TRAVELERS “ DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY “

Anastasia G (Ananaska)

It’s a very simple yet elegant motel It’s only 2 minutes away from the beach Guests’ parking is available free of charge, no need to book in advance

Swimming pool on the premises, fast Internet Rooms are very clean and big They also have a pier with wonderful view and a restaurant with a terrace And it’s the cheapest decent optionWhat I didn’t like was that air-conditioner was really really loud You can’t sleep at night with this thing on and you can’t either without it because it’s too hot I also spotted a couple of cockroaches Otherwise it’s ok

The room was even better then pictured and promised We were in room 5 The decor was so cozy

I now want my own LED fireplace Parking is limited, but luckily they’re quick to respond to text messages, so we were able to secure parking nearby via the manager The bed was a cozy king and linens were comfortable Finding two welcome flavored seltzers and coffee with sugar and creamer was a nice touch The Continental was unexpected but appreciated The water side of the place was so relaxing, we spent time relaxing there and socializing with other guests And Prime steakhouse in the corner was another gem! Close to shops and restaurants, as well as the water We’ll definitely be back!

Bonita Springs has been on my getaway list for awhile and I finally checked it off Let me start by saying, I will be back and I will want to stay here again I was skimming through hotels on google that checked certain boxes within my price point and when I saw this place it felt like a perfect match

Lets be clear, this is not going to be the perfect place for everyone Pulling up, the outside kind of makes me think of a well managed motel, if I had only seen the front before I booked, i may have said “nah” but I know I would regret that decision now The breakfast is nothing fancy, pastries, bananas, oranges, protein/granola bars, yogurt, some juice and coffee, but it gets the job done, if you want something more the griddle was free most mornings and could be used to make a mean breakfast if you were so inclined The kayaks and paddle boards are nothing fancy, but they work and we enjoyed them One of the 4 bikes had a flat when we went to use them, we let the housekeeper know on Saturday and they had it fixed and back in circulation Tuesday morning We were in room 2 (there are only 9 rooms and they all seemed pretty consistently filled while we were there) which was perfect for 2 people that are sharing a bed The kitchenette had good size fridge A little portable cooktop, a microwave, a blender, basic dishes, cooking utensils, a drying rack for after you wash everything and even a couple barstools that I don’t think we ever used bur were a great touch Is everything maintained perfectly? No, the place definitely has some DIY vibes going on but it was clean, comfy and there were no bugs in the room, plus the DIY thing is kinda charming sometimes in its own way even if it isn’t the pristine picture some people may want The plunge pool/hot tub was also great and we spent a couple afternoons out there with some frozen drinks we prepped in the room It can be set to one temperature and it takes awhile to adjust so don’t go expecting always a hot tub or to always be a refreshing cool temperature, anyone can change the settings at any time, which is both a blessing and a curse imo The thing that impressed me the most was all the little miscellaneous perks that I wasn’t really expecting Beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers you can take and use for the day (availability limited), bug spray, sunscreen and aloe laid out on the deck for anyone to grab and use, waterproof phone pouches hung up next to the kayaks and more that I’m probably forgetting The staff that I had the pleasure of dealing with were all very friendly and helpful I don’t know if I’ve ever been to the same hotel twice as an adult, I like trying new places, but I’d have a hard time coming back to Bonita and not booking here again after the experience I had Thank you for a great stay!

Very dissapointing!Walking into the hotel the doors, carpet and walls all need refreshing, they look dirty Parking seemed fineThe kitchen/sitting/office room was a fair size, thugh not large by any stretch

The bedroom was smallThe furniture was not comfortable and did not show a lot of wear In the evening, the room was very dark and requires new and brighter lights, not a place you want to spend time The TV did not workThe overall value was very poor $200 a night would be pushing it, certainly not worth $400 a nightNot a good experience

MELISSA Fisher

Awful!!!!! I can’t believe Marriott puts their name on this place! The room was disgusting! White stuff (milk?) on the chair and cupboard doors, wet/black ripped carpets, ants, dented fridge!! The list goes on and on Unclean and unsanitary! They are covering up mold with febreeze, you can smell it! The breakfast was subpar! Same lack luster items every day, leftovers are used for the next days breakfast Even the waffles were terrible

Pre made of course! Offered a new room but we couldn’t see it first?! The staff didn’t care They just shrugged it off and took no responsibility or ownership COVID ruined this place!!

1) I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and only 1 of the 2 elevators “worked”, after waiting over 7 minutes for it to come I reported it to the front desk but it was clearly a well known issue that, apparently, management is not in a rush to fix I was told by other guests, as they were leaving, that they have had the same issue during their stay

2) The hallways to the room smells bad, the rooms are small and you will be woken up to the sweet sound of construction going on3) If you go to theirs restaurant be ready to know what you want to order, as soon as you are handed out the menu, because you will not see you waiter for a good while, specially on weekends4) After being out all day, on Sunday, we wanted to stay in for the night and relax, ordered some food to go and got ready to watch the Super Bowl but “oh surprised!” the Hotel blocked ESPN in the rooms so all the guests will come down to their very crowded restaurant (keep in mind that I have a lung condition and that’s what I have been trying to avoid, this was my first vacation since the pandemic started and was being very careful of places I went) what a disappointment!!!5) The day before check out I asked at the front desk if there was anything I needed to do before the morning and the young guy told me I had to come down and hand them the room keys, which I have never heard of but whatever Came down at 6:00 am, waited for 15+ minutes, calling for someone, and no one ever showed up Called them once I got home just to find out that this was not necessaryBig waste of money, DO NOT recommend it to anyone, very disappointedThe customers are clearly not a priority at this Hotel!!!

Front desk and housekeeping crews were very attentive and friendly Room was ready for us even though we arrived earlier than the designated check in time Facility was slightly dated but was very well maintained

The facility had a nice bar and restaurant area to sit out by the harbor They offered complimentary beach chairs and towels helping us to travel light Would most definitely stay here again!

Great boutique inn Small quaint rooms with an old school vibe that’s charming Clean

Perfect location Staff was excellent and very accommodating Nick and Michelle both went out of their way to make the stay pleasant and I loved every minute of my stay My first 2 days in the area were spent north at a major chain and I wish I’d found this sooner! I will be back

Family hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are large enough but the finishing level is low Cleaning is done on Tuesdays and Fridays, which unfortunately is not sufficient to keep the rooms clean extra cleaning was no problem so that was fine

The grounds around the hotel are open so there are often outsiders walking around to take advantage of what the hotel has to offer All in all a fine stay

Tonya Bolton Photography

I would probably give it a 35 if I could but I don’t think its a 4I stayed in a standard double room for seven nights

If not for having to pay in full up front/non-refundable, I would have likely changed hotelsFirst of all, the staff was excellent The front desk was a joy to be around They were very nice and helpful when I needed them to be The rooms were clean It is because of this that I wish I could rank it higher but here is why I cannot:The air conditioner was on when we arrived but the room felt wet and smelled strongly of chlorine I attributed this to being by the pool The beds were average We didn’t have achy hips or backs after sleeping on them but they aren’t terribly special The pillows were worthless They are labeled on the cases as Firm and Soft but they should be labeled Flat and Flatter They were awful I wound up using my memory foam airport neck pillow at night That is how bad they wereThe bathroom was TINY Barely enough room to get in to close the door The TV doesn’t have many channels and it is not a smart tv nor a large one Watch out for those $20 on-demand movies We must’ve clicked on one without knowing because it showed up on our bill after we left I called and they refunded it to me because they could see that I didn’t actually watch itParking is not great if you are on the inside of the hotel with a pool view My husband has a hard time walking sometimes and we had quite a far walk from the car to the room The hotel is within walking distance to iHop and Olive Garden but we still drove for my husbandWalls are thin and the room is lit up at night So, if you need quiet and darkness, do not forget your earplugs and sleep mask There was no way to keep the light out of the room The only option for white noise is the A/C which is usually fine for us but this unit was very loud and random It always sounded like someone was trying to get in our room at night but it was just the A/C knockingThis hotel is on the edge of the nice part of Naples so if you like the better part of town, go elsewhere We will not stay here again

Stephanie Gertsch

Generally very disappointing Staff at the reception was unfriendly, we felt unwelcome even on arrival Rooms were relatively clean but very damp

There is an envelope in the room for tipping the cleaning staff, however we never received room service as well as new towels The card for the room rarely worked, had to exchange the cards again and again at the reception where we were told that we should not have the cards on the cell phone because of the magnet, which we actually had not done from the beginningThe facility with pool was nicely done, unfortunately we could not really use it because a huge family had besieged from morning to night the whole pool area and probably did everything that would not be allowed such as eating in the pool, loud music, etc Was very unpleasant and no one did anything about itWe were there for 2 nights, had it not been a weekend and had we not paid in advance we would have left earlier

Fantastic deals on staying here if you’re looking for a perfect location in downtown Naples We walked to and from the pier for sunset it was so close Rooms are nice for this older condominium

Went to the Dock restaurant for dinner! Delicious! And the breakfast in the hotel at the Cove Inn Coffee Shoppe is classic and wonderful! Staff was also very friendly and accommodating!

jim giuliano

Good location, and the breakfast restaurant attached to the building has very good food and service Two other decent restaurants nearby, but if you”re healthy and reasonably fit, you can walk into town for more options Also, there’s a free shuttle (you tip the driver) from the Cove’s lot to most downtown areas and Tin City

The rooms are individually owned condos managed by the onsite staff As a result, you’ll get some variation in decor and amenities — some better, some worse For instance, we traveled with friends Their room had a safe for valuables and ours didn’t Overall, however, the basic layout is the same: bedroom with sliders and view of the marina; kitchenette with stove top, microwave, small fridge, and sink; small but serviceable bathroom Good for families with small children There are deluxe rooms with large balconies but we didn’t see themI’d stay there again

George Calleja

I was very impressed with this Hotel The room was beautiful (321) with a great view to the bay The room had a mini kitchen with microwave, fridge and wine cooler

Everything was nice and clean Looks like it was recently remodeled Very close to 5th street where you can walk the entire strip The front desk personnel was friendly and informative The last think left to remodel was the elevator as it was pretty old looking Other than that, everything was great and I even proposed to my fiance on the balcony It was beautiful Will definitely consider staying there again

My stay was okay I arrived at midnight and they were ready to receive me Check in was fast

The room was okay and clean There was no breakfast, just coffee at the lobby and a vending machineThe location is convenient, as it is on one of the main avenues (Davis Boulevard) near Tamiami TrailThe pool is small I’d recommend this hotel more for a business kind of trip

Karen French

The hotel is VERY dated! Anything you need you track down yourself (towels,Tiolet paper, etc) There is NEVER anyone at the front desk Breakfast was awful

If you don’t get down there first thing you don’t get much of anything Only stock so much and don’t refill The first night had coffee creamer The next three nights none Was told they were out! Beds are like sleeping on a piece of plywood (not comfortable at all) Will never stay here again!

Emily Hagstrom

I never write reviews, but we booked this hotel based on seeing enough positive reviews And wow, did we instantly regret it The place is FILTHY

Our kids took their shoes off in our room, and 5 minutes later their little feet were coated in dirt There was garbage left behind beside the fridge and microwave, and the shower barely worked nor did the water drain If I’m spending $300+ for a hotel room, I’d at least like the garbage to be taken away and the floors to be clean I hope it isn’t always this way

If I could I would give this place no stars Absolutely no service here You are on your own

I have travelled the world and I can say this is the worst hotel experience I have hadI have stayed in Southeast Asia in places that cost $30 US per night that offer better hospitality than this hotel Please spend your money at another hotel You will not be pleased with your stay here You are better off at a Red Roof Inn Very low end stay

Maria Rodriguez

Have stayed here for years and hotel is nice , well -located for 5th Ave walking and clean Unfortunately, front desk has an employee ( maybe Nancy is her name ) in her 50-60 s who has horrible people skills and rude It’s slow season as the parking lot was not full all weekend and she refused to let us checkout just 1 hour later at 12

Hotel management should not allow this person to alienate any customer , and esp those that follow rules

I’m only giving it 3 stars because the front desk manager was nice and the 70s feel was pretty cool Otherwise this place is in need of some serious updating I don’t think a single thing in the rooms have been replaced since the 70s

Breakfast choices were terrible However, a really nice dining area Definitely a great old country club feel if they would just take advantage of that

Crystal Gil

Great quality for price we paid Outside looks a bit scary but it’s very nice inside People at front desk are very nice

Housekeeping is nice as well Comfortable & quiet it’s on a huge golf course There is a bar outside that plays loud music but once you close your patio door, you couldn’t hear anything After staying one night at a Super 8 in Ft Meyers that had roaches, this place made my stay in Florida very very much more enjoyable I would definitely stay here again!

Elegant Weddings By Mrs Marlo

While the staff themselves are very nice, the rooms are horrible Musty smell in the room and entire hallway area Ac didn’t work in our room and we had to move

We have been staying here twice a year for about 5 years and we have seen it decline drastically Dated rooms and old decor Pillows the size of decorative sofa pillows I’m sorry to say we will not be back It’s to expensive for the actual quality of the place Should be a $80 a night place

Amazing hotel, pools, nice sized hot tubs Staff was top notch, room was awesome Could see the pool from the balcony, but had enough trees that it still had privacy

High end Italian restaurant attached, but I didn’t try it Didn’t come with the proper attire, but the poolside bar/restaurant next door was great More things to do around you than you can do, 10 minutes from the beach And the beach is gorgeous, my 11 year old didn’t want to leave Hell, neither did I 😂😥👍👍👍👍

The shower was greatThe room was just right for us (2 adults and 2 little ones) but you could hear other room’s water running and hair dryersCheck-in (the employee was polite but not friendly) and out (Angie was super friendly) were fastBreakfast was ok (no scrambled eggs nor bacon on a Sunday?) I think the place is fine for one or two nights but other than that I think I would try to find another place Everything was clean in the rooms but the air conditioner is very loud within the rooms The breakfast is also not that good and they don’t have so much options

I wouldn’t stay their a second time The good thing is it is near to Naples and Marco Island and your very fast on the highway

It was fine, checked in normally, and then the front desk decided to call me multiple times at 3 am to “verify the name on my credit card” That was it I told them my name, which was obviously the name on the room as well, and they said “thanks, have a good rest of your morning” LOL! Then of course my heart was racing from the phone calls jolting me awake, that I wasn’t able to go back to sleep at all till I had to leave to continue my 7-day long work trip at 7 am

Paid $120+ for less than a half of a nights sleep, at a place where you literally only pay to sleep

We enjoyed the spacious 2 bedroom/2bath condo It was a very nice home away from home Having a full kitchen, 2 livingrooms, and enclosed balcony over looking the golf course was great

The master bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom as 2 single beds The single beds were very small for adults but we made it work For our party of 3 adults, it was almost perfect We also had a washer/dryer too We stayed in unit 324 The location was great because its close to both Naples and Marco Island We plan to come again in the near future

Update: If I could give zero stars I would, waited on a so called Manager-Samantha to respond to our plight since she was not available on the day of the incident-July 4th, imagine they had to one in charge on a holiday to assist guests…we arrived home and I called her the next day, she showed no compassion or empathy for us, never apologized and seemed to be more concerned about my REVIEWS, when I asked her if she was aware of our situation, she responded by saying, she was, she couldn’t miss all my reviews I posted, I told her I was prompted to by the extreme dangerous situation we were faced with and we had no assistance from their office and at the time I wrote how I felt from my heart and the circumstances surrounding us, I explained everything that happened to her and Samantha said she would look into it

She called my son on the following day, which is today and said there was nothing she could do, she mentioned my REVIEWS AGAIN…CASE WAS CLOSEDWe paid a lot of money to stay at Green Links, this whole situation was very deplorable, I’m very upset and disheartened at the same time that no action was taken, black families like ours should be treated better and be respected!!I hope this will prompt the Owners, Managers and Staff to make the necessary changes and training

I paid over $400 for 2 nights in the 1 bedroom suiteAs others have said, I have no idea why this has such a high rating My vacation wasn’t ruined because of it, but I definitely feel like I overpaid

I selected the suite because it was advertised with a kitchenette, balcony and small living space with a couch and tvIn hindsight, the only reason to select the suite is if you’ll be there for an extended stayPros:The staff is very polite and welcomingFree parkingQuietLocationCons:It is very outdated Don’t let the photos fool you It may have looked fancy at some point, but it doesn’t nowThe “kitchenette” has a 20 year old microwave and mini fridge As well as a small sink It did not come with the stove top shown in photos The breakfast table and chairs was nice thoughThe king size bed was incredibly firm and the pillows were smaller than an average twinThe complimentary breakfast bar was a couple fold out tables in the lobbyThe balcony isn’t actually large enough to sit out onOnly one set of towels per personIndividually, these aren’t terrible But this was supposed to be a fun getaway with a few luxuries we don’t normally have at homeUnfortunately, we did not get that experience here either

When we initially booked our trip, we were a bit skeptical about getting such a nice room for such a reasonable rate However, once we got there, all of our concerns were eliminated The suite we got was more like a small apartment and gave us plenty of personal space

They were renovating the entire hotel but I can honestly say that our trip was not affected in any way No loud construction or any construction debris The staff was very friendly and helpful When traveling in Naples, we will definitely book with them again!!!

I really didn’t get to see all the reviews that the hotel got lately I decided to go back because of previous stays, hotel is under construction, pictures shown are not the real deal No sitting breakfast, just grab and go

Pool looks dirty and outdated, couldn’t even use it No room service during your stay, you need to leave your garbage out and towels to be picked up not replaced, for that you need to ask front desk Staff wise, front desk just give you the info needed, no more than that Cleaning crew, you hardly see anyone around I decided to leave a day prior, really felt disappointed for what you pay is not worth it The way this hotel is presented is not how it is

First time I stayed here and am VERY impressed Was upgraded to a king suite just by asking (no additional fee) Room was very comfortable and quiet even though we were in the first floor near the elevator

The breakfast every morning was what you expected but the staff made it exceptional Beautiful heated pool overlooking a lake Beds were firm and very comfy Close to everything Would definitely stay again!

This hotel was perfect for what we needed The front desk staff was friendly and informative The room was clean, which is important to me

I didn’t really hear roadway noise, so I slept good There is hot coffee or hot water available in the front lobby There is also a restaurant nearby that you can walk to, but we didn’t have a chance to try it There are other great restaurants you can drive to that are minutes away Many are first come first serve, so get there a half hour earlyThe elevators do take forever, especially if you’re in a hurry I wish there was a sign to indicate how close or where the staircase was, so I can go that route if I wanted to I couldn’t immediately find it The beds are slightly on the firmer side, if that’s what you like Other than that, there are no other issues or complaints that I had for this hotel
