Overall, the place is in good condition and clean, but our room had two issues One, the bathroom door would not shut The bathroom vent does not work and the moisture from the bathroom warped the door

Also, the TV in the main room didn’t work The front desk was very unhelpful Their response was something like, we can’t fix it, so what do you want us to do? The tv was an issue for my son and the bathroom was a frustration for everyone

This was a half way point for our trip The check in lady was nice Breakfast was good

Didn’t use the pool or fitness centerOur main problem was the roomThe walls were very dirty as well as the carpet The beds were hard to sleep on The headboards were stained really bad In the shower there was a used shampoo and bar of soap The sink wouldn’t drainNot impressed, won’t stay again

This is our halfway point on our travel every year And it’s a great hotel These were just minor issues for this room

All other times it has been superb The bathtub was creaky and did not feel supported The bathroom door was not fully assembled at the handle And the toilet never shut off so is constantly running Other than that the service was great and we got a good night’s sleep

I used the Hilton Honors app to book 2 rooms Since we were arriving after 10pm I did the digital check in with the room choices and digital keys

One room went smoothly My hubs and my room however, not so much We unlocked our assigned room with the digital key but it had been rented out to another party Fortunately they were understanding and not in a compromising situation Come to find out the hotel had switched their original room to my room so they could be closer to their kids I went to the front desk and no apology or reason why they changed my room or that I walked into a room of complete strangers Or that I now was going to be on another floor from my kids, ironically The room was fine People were noisy above us until about 2am Shower water had a weird smell Almost sewerish Probably won’t stay here again or use digital keys There are too many hotels right off i-55

We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2022 on a family trip It was very clean and well-maintained! The staff are friendly, the hotel is well-run, and it was a good value overall The breakfast is good, the pool is warm, and they provide individual toiletries and daily room cleaning

The hotel is a convenient location to downtown Jackson and I-55, with several restaurants in walking distance

Got there really late, around midnight Clerk was super friendly Room was clean, beds comfortable

Someone started vacuuming at 7 am outside our room Super excited to wake up to that Went downstairs to eat, the breakfast was amazing but the lady cleaning and serving was so rude and grouchy She was throwing chairs around We spoke to her twice and she wouldnt aknowledge us

I visit MS every other month and I stay at this hotel because of the cleanliness of the hotel but mainly the staff The GM “Jessica” is second to none On my first stay at the hotel is when I met the GM

It was a Saturday morning my family and I went down to have breakfast, she was our waitress She was the only waitress but she was fast, friendly, and held a smile the entire meal despite being the only server there After the meal, I made sure to thank her for all she had done In doing so, I asked her how long she had been serving and she said……”well ma’am today is my 1st day as I am filling in due the short staff I am actually the GM” I could not believe it From that stay on I have and will always stay at the Holiday Inn Pearl Because I know if the GM is willing to take off her dress clothes and serve food to the guest, I know I’ll always be taken care of when I stay Since then on two of my stays she has been there serving food with the same smile and same wonderful attitude❤️

Due to a situation beyond our control, we had to change our Friday reservation to the next day, Saturday (spring break weekend) We had to contact the hotel directly Brenda was our guardian angel and was able to make the change

As always, I experienced this hotel’s entire staff does what ever is necessary for their guests to feel welcome We were so pleased and and look forward choosing this Holiday Inn again I will drive extra miles just to stay there

The housekeeping staff were very sweet The shuttle driver was great The bartender was just top notch

Amazing service from this groupThe front desk staff, however, were cold unfriendly, unwelcoming and dismissive My final hotel bill was incorrect, even though I repeatedly pointed this out before I checked out I was just ignored One of the mistakes has been corrected, but not the other one I’m not hopeful it will beI had to catch a shuttle at 3am to catch my flight No one was at the front desk so I went to sit outside by the shuttle When the women came out from a back room she came at me like I was a vagrant, would not give me a receipt for my checkout, and was flat out rudeThe location is handy to the airport, and it’s nice to have the shuttle, but the front staff needs hospitality training badly

Dmarcus White

My stay at the Hyatt was awesome The receptionist Mr George Jones was very polite, helpful and informative

He educated us on all the perks that the hotel had to offer He even recommended nearby restaurants I was traveling to Mississippi on business and Mr Jones made me feel right at home The hotel was very clean My room was clean and easily accessible Great hotel Great staff GREAT JOB Mr George Jones IV

Alfred Harding

Front desk gal checking me in was friendly She also smiled which is a plus these days Aloha!Bed is super comfortable! Many hotels forget this is the point

I got a great nights sleepWould have liked a room with a better view than AC fans though (I don’t have Hyatt status) I know they had better rooms as the Hyatt App tried to upsell me At least the room seemed to have great sound proofing as I didn’t hear the fans outsideThe property seems new but previous guests have banged up the furniture in my assigned room That’s a shame (Furniture pens are your friend and make a big difference in perception)I would stay again (Maybe in a better room the next time please)

This is definitely not the traditional Embassy Suites that I have become accustomed to! The rooms were not clean, they did not have enough towels, furniture was miss matched in the room, some of the cleaning staff was very unprofessional, front desk clerk (Muriel) had a nice-nasty attitude both times I interacted with her I was working with the senior sales person while planning the Family Reunion, he was on vacation during our time there and never bothered to give me a contact person in his absence (I found out he was out by his out of office notice) When I finally found out “her” name, I never saw her or heard from her the entire weekend

The problems we had were not addressed I can say much more but I’ll just sum it up and say this is NOT the best hotel to stay at!! 1 1/2-Stars at best Don’t be fooled by the nice lobby, like we were When we booked the hotel we were told we could not see the room because of the Covid/Cleaning policy (which I could respect)… That’s a complete joke! They have signs on the mirror in the bathroom saying they were Lysol cleaned… Did not smell one scent of Lysol and my first room had mold all around the air condition vent, elevators weren’t cleaned, no vacuuming of the hotel carpet (I looked at the same piece of paper on the floor for 2 days) My air conditioner went out the last night! One of my family member’s air condition went out the first night…One good thing was the F & B staff: Maxine and Ms Willie were very kind and accommodating The salmon was a little over cooked but dinner was decent I definitely would NEVER stay here again!!!

I’d like to update this review The hotel was very responsive and reached out to me to make it better I respect that and wanted to give them credit

This hotel has barely earned 1 star The weekend I stayed they didn’t have the staff to manage the load of guest and large family groups they hosted One or both elevators were broken the 3 nights we stayed The stairs all had forced exits to freezing temperatures The workout room never had water and not all the equipment was functioning The ceiling fan had gaps around it and the ceiling had damage This a new hotel It’s not going to get better The water in the pool as lime green the morning I checked out I could never attempt to get In because it was over crowded the whole time I was there The staff ignores you and is not offering house keeping except if you request If you request they are not there yet and they have you come to the front desk for towels were they ignore you and have extended small talk with other guests not even acknowledge your existence I believe they care from their response to my previous review and it will get better or this was just a blurb

Had a great experience here I had never been to this part of Jackson before, but it is such a nice area The rooms were clean and spacious, and the pool/gym were spotless

Upon checking in around 6pm, they had vegetables, fruit, and some crackers out, as well as a fountain soda machine for use The breakfast service was wonderful, and the employees were friendly I loved the oatmeal station with fruit preserves to put on top There was also a made-to-order omelette station Staff came to clear my dishes out of the way during eating I highly recommend this place for great service and a very comfortable stay!

Skip to main contentWe have stayed in many boutique hotels in our travels and this one is one of the best!Honestly, if you are traveling through Mississippi this is the hotel to stay inFirst of all, we want to give a big shout out to the following team members:Princeton – A great person; he made us feel welcome from the first time we talked to him on the phone He greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel welcome, almost like he was inviting us into his home

He delivered needed items to our room without hesitation and we saw him around the hotel doing whatever needed to be done with a smile on his faceChrista – Bar Assistant did a great job with serving and checking up on us even under extremely busy conditions Very accommodating with a smileChristy Lee – Bartender – Very professional and accommodating under very busy conditionsTop notch employees!!!The grounds were beautiful with an interior garden, modern furnishings, large banquet room for gatherings, lovely rooms all with an intimate feel, and great rooftop bar open on Thurs, Fri, Sat with nightly local musiciansThe stay included a delicious full breakfast with lovely pastries, biscuits, gravy, fruits, meats and eggs Wow!!!We want to thank you for making us feel so welcome and will definitely be back when we are in MississippiDate of stay: April 2022The rooms facing the garden with balconies are lovely

Overall the stay was good It’s a nice old building with a pretty courtyard and a perfect location for walking to the historic sites and museums of downtown Jackson The rooms are spacious, well-decorated, and comfortable

However, the service is somewhat rough around the edgesThe good news is that these shortcomings are correctableFirst of all, there is no housekeeping unless your request it This is unacceptable, especially at a hotel that wants to be “boutique” and more on the upscale side Daily housekeeping should be expected and automatic I found myself having to call and ask for clean towels then waiting for them to be brought to meSecond, if you are going to ask guests to select a time for their breakfast in the dining room, then you should have their breakfast ready on time I and other guests had a 7 AM “appointment” yet had to sit there for a good while waiting on the breakfast to be brought in Fortunately at least there was coffee readyThird, one of the big selling points of this hotel is the rooftop bar and the views from it However, the rooftop only accessible Thursday, Friday, and Saturday One cannot even enter the area at all except on those days This area was off limits even though the weather was beautiful and I would’ve loved to have just enjoyed the viewFinally, cleanup is needed in the courtyard There were leaves clogging the fountain, which was pretty otherwise

Brad Robertson

I stayed for two nights in May 2022 What a great experience Extremely friendly check in process and the gentleman at the front desk even offered to give me a ride to the train station when I was departing

Very comfortable room and lovely courtyard for breakfast/reading A one minute walk from the civil rights museum and near downtown makes this an exceptional place to stay for a brief visit to this very interesting city

I recently stayed at the Homewood Suites and my experience was spectacular! From the moment I walked into the lobby I was greeted by very friendly and welcoming front desk staff The property is very clean and well kept In addition, they seem to do a very good job of making sure all guests feel safe with taking proper covid protocols

This was a huge plus for me! I liked the way they limit the number of guests in the pool at one time This is just another measure of safety The rooms are very spacious, cleaned to perfection, and well stocked with towels and personal hygiene products The breakfast staff is very welcoming and work diligently to make sure the food stations are replenished accordingly In addition, they have gloves readily available for guests to use when serving themselves The hotel is located on a very bustling street that has great food options within walking distance In addition, it is also in walking distance to the Jackson State University stadium should you come in town for a game There is also several really great museums and historical attractions nearby Overall, I highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again when I visit Jackson, Mississippi

Beds were not made when we arrived nearly 45-min after check-in And since we were having a late lunch we had to eat in a room that look like it had been used by the previous patron(s) with no soap left, so I literally had to walk to the other room to grab a new bar of soap So the staff were cleaning the rooms and we asked them if they could please come back in about half an hour after we were done and they agreed

However one of the staff was smoking right outside of our room, which was a nuisance since this was a non-smoking facility in the smoke was easily entering our room under the door so my friend stuffed a few pillows under the door to block the smoke and it actually helped We also were a little surprised when one of the staff members was wearing a t-shirt and jeans whereas the other one was wearing a uniform We thought it might have been one of the hotel guests who was just being very nice perhaps and helping out Other than that it was also disappointing that the lobby closed around 8:00 or 8:30 pm Perhaps this could be due to potential crime rate in the area or the demographics of the hotel, yet it’s also unfortunate for guests who would like to retire to the lobby temporarily to perhaps have tea and relax Lastly the same employee who look like a very courteous guest helping the staff also happened to be by the bottom of the staircase smoking as well as listening to explicit music and singing out loud There’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing this but when you approach this as a guest it does make things a bit awkward and off-putting What employees do on their free time is perfectly within their right, but it would be better to perhaps do this in an employee lounge somewhere where it’s not infringing on the space/comfort of a guest

If you’re searching for an overpriced straight down nasty disgusting motel that claim to be an hotel look no further!Rust,Mold, stains on walls and floors, Dirty towels that smell like weed! When approached the management about all this issues RPatel answered “why you making a big deal about it”I seriously can’t believe this place is open for business!

Eric moser

The hotel had the potential to satisfy me for an overnight stay on my travels across country, but unfortunately they did not succeed Hotel staff is wasting the owners money Coffee was overpowering, juice tasted like pure syrup, and floor cleaner left a sticky residue on the tile in the bathroom & vanity area

The pungent floor cleaner had a very strong odor and kept me up for a while Besides that the room was clean but needed some updating, and the building looked ok

It was a quiet, comfortable, and affordable place to stay Breakfast was suitable, but nothing special Unfortunately, the pancake machine didn’t work for 2 days of our stay

However, the other food was of good quality This was a wonderful establishment because they had great customer service (Terrell) with a lovely front desk crew As for cleanliness, I’ll give the lovely ladies 35 stars No complaints, but I didn’t allow them re-entry into our room until after 3 days Basically, I recommend this place

Ms  Charlotte takes great care in her food, dining area  She is enthusiastic about her food service

She greets everyone with a smile and a good morning and the morning I was there she was pushing the hash brown potatoes  They were real good The food bar has a wide selection of food that would satisfy any person young and old from cold cereal to biscuits and gravy, fruit,  Cinnamon rolls, bagels also juice, coffee, hot tea  It certainly is a good start to the day See the pictures

Richard & Angela Miller

Nice big room and comfortable bed AC/heat worked great If you leave the fan on it’s just enough white noise to drown out small noises from next-door or the hall

Refrigerator has a small freezer section which can be helpful Fairly long bench area for laying out suitcases and hooks above USB charging ports at the desk Shower had decent pressure and easy to adjust hot water Not a big hotel, but the one elevator can get busy and you have to wait Stay on a low floor so that stairs are an option Breakfast was good, but there could’ve been more choices Plenty of eggs, sausage, and biscuits with white gravy Their signature cinnamon rolls are always yummy But the pancake machine was out of service for some reason, no fruit, and cereal but no milk Overall very nice hotel and I would stay here again

Good staff, nice people but dirty room You could tell they skimp on cleaning and room prep little dish soap in kitchen was used with crusty dried soap around cap no sponge

Had to go to front desk to ask for bedding for sofa couch Sofa bed mattress was badly stained Room felt less than clean One elevator not working so it was a minor inconvenience staying on the fourth floor Breakfast was ok Got biscuits, etc Waffle maker but batter dispenser did not work Overall a less than Hilton experience but as I said the staff were nice

We stayed at several Home2 Suites on this trip The Pearl location was a very positive experience The front desk team members were kind but also fun to chat with

The only down rating is just that they seem to be short people With a positive attitude and kind word those front desk folks were doing absolutely everything Breakfast, laundry, room requests, etc Hopefully they can hire some additional support staff and things will be even better!

Despite some minor things about the rooms, the experience was good! Staff were friendly, the pool was small but clean, and the breakfast was good In our room, the drawers had collapsed in at the back so we couldn’t use them, but I never use them anyway so it didn’t bother me too much The shower controls were SUPER sensitive so to avoid super hot water was a delicate operation

And we found an open packet of chips from a previous guest under the bed But other than that, it was good I would stay there again

This hotel is average at best It’s like a ghost town this weekend I’ve seen about 20 people in a 24 hour period

A few couples that checked in before yesterday have left The hotel smells like mildew As soon as I walked in the room and opened the closet door, a huge dying bug was there The toilet rocks When you sit on it, it feels like you are going to fall in When you use the phone in the room, the person you call can’t hear you I feel that is a hazard There is a Tornado warning in effect We are making sure our phones are fully charged I tried switching rooms, but was told that she has to wait on manager to approve That’s weird That was at 7 this morning As of 2:30 pm, I still haven’t heard anything I’m not a priority I guess that I will wait on the guy that works in the evening He was very pleasant and nice The breakfast is cool Housekeeping knocks on your door to pick up used towels They will not make the beds, but will leave you clean towels I like the parking You need to use your room key to park on the lot I would say that is the best part of this place I will not stay here again, though

Usually pretty nice spot Just make sure you ask for your ID back before you head to your room The last time I checked in here, the young guy that checked me in took quite awhile to get me a room key asked for my ID and never gave it back to me

Sure I definitely share responsibility for my own ID but when your so tired you can barely walk straight sometimes you just want to get in your room to settle down That’s exactly what happened Luckily I was able to remember that it was there where I last pulled it out So the hotel confirmed it was there But how annoying

Convenient location, clean, and a friendly receptionist to boot We were pleasantly surprised that this affordable room wasn’t terribly outdated and in a safe, quiet area Having the kitchenette was a big perk

We did notice that the basic plates, glasses and cutlery had lots of pieces missing (it would have been tough to serve any kind of meal), but the fridge and microwave were appreciated and came in handy for our late-night arrival and takeout pizza Comfortable bed and good variety of pillows We had trouble with the thermostat (never did figure out if either the wall or the stand-alone unit actually controlled anything), and woke up throughout the night sweating It was even hotter in the hallways, so bring light lounging/sleeping clothes The temperature was approx 50 degrees outside and, although it said it was 68 in our room, it was stiflingly hot Close to plenty of food options and quick access to the highway Overall quite pleased, and for the price, would definitely stay again

Flew into Jackson wanting to stay near the airport Chose Candlewood and wasdisappointed The grease on the cabinets was very visible and not cleaned

The shower caddy fell off the wall with no shower gel in the dispenser hurting my hand The white doors showed visible dirtiness I had to clean the room just to in in there The microwave handle was broken There was a dead roach on the floor then the next day there was a live roach on the his back on the floor I went looking for an outlet and looked behind the nightstand and it was nasty garbage and food Very unsatisfying I will stay next door at the holiday inn express from now on The only positive thing is the towels were nice and white
