My family and I decided to go upstate for a trip and chose this hotel because it’s website stated that it was pet friendly I booked our stay in advance and wrote that I’ll be having my dog with me (and accepted the pet fee) I got to the hotel and they told me that dogs weren’t allowed

The lady at the front desk said that even though the website says that dogs are allowed, they aren’t She just apologized and told me that they can refund me all my money but there was nothing else to do I was so shocked Until I said that I don’t know what to do then because I had come upstate with my family and we had no where else to go, she just expected me to take the news and leave She was then kind enough to tell me that there was a hotel 20 minutes away that allowed pets and to hurry up and go before that hotel was booked up I left immediately of course but I think that if the Hilton made a mistake, they should have accommodated us better We ended up paying significantly more for a hotel room and were rushing around and stressing because this hotel lied about their pet policy They could have followed up with my reservation and told me that pets weren’t allowed anytime before I checked in, but instead I found out everything while I was at the counter and my family was in the car I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all

Rooms are spacious, have a fridge and an American coffee maker No water cooker Had a room with two queen beds

Every thing worked, heating/AC was a bit noisy, some bathroom fixtures a bit worn Had included breakfast in the room rate, quality a bit disappointing, the fruit salad was overripe, mentioned this to the restaurant staff, they promised to renew the bowl but 30 minutes later this had not yet happened Other food quality was good

Room standards were unacceptable I was traveling with my mother to visit family The first room we were put in had blood and dirt on the beds

The customer service was great, we got put in another room but this room was almost as bad There were horrible stains on every inch of carpet, brown stains on 2/3 of the towels, ants EVERYWHERE in the bathroom, and when the shower turned on the toilet was shooting water out of the bowl and all over the seat and floor But I guess I will take the second room over the bloody bed room I saw the sticker in the mirror in the bathroom with the Hilton Clean Stay Information and it’s obvious that the cleaning staff do not follow that whatsoever

We had a short stay, but loved the spacious King room! Everything was very clean and they did a great job on updating an older building The breakfast was well prepared Parking is a bit difficult, but if you can find a space in the parking garage it’s perfect! The hotel is right across from a gorgeous little park

Customer service was wonderful too Overall, a great experience, and we’ll definitely stay here again in the future

We had traveled back to the Stamford area for an illustrious Wedding Our stay with Hampton Inn and Suites was wonderful! The rooms were comfortable and clean! The Housekeeping Department cleaned our room ‘daily’ and even took the time to leave a delightful ‘gift bag’ for us during our stay! 🛍 We could not be more ‘Elated’ by their thoughtful gesture 😊The only thing I would recommend is perhaps upgrading their rooms to include a better exhaust system for improved ventilation and maybe including ‘Dressers’ in the rooms for the repeated Traveler

Otherwise, the staff and service was great! 👍Thank-you Hampton Inn for your exceptional hospitality! We will definitely be back! 🙂

David Olson

Pretty decent hotel but for the price I might try another place next time Location was close to a lot of downtown dining and staff was extremely friendly and helpful The coffee in the lobby was unfortunately terrible

I’m usually not picky about coffee but I couldn’t drink this stuff because it was so bitter The parking garage also feels a bit neglected Garbage laying around and what appear to be long term parking

Celebrated my birthday with a stay at the Abbey Inn and Spa We arrived at the Spa for a wonderful couples massage The Spa was clean, welcoming and the services were fantastic

Everyone was friendly, helpful and warm Johnny took us under his wing to show us around, give us the history and he rang the Abbey bell for my birthday – made me feel so special The Apropos Restaurant food was amazing – roasted bone marrow with escargot (!!!), pistachio crusted lamb rack with pickled cherries (!!!!) Giselle at the bar and Johnnie as our server were fun, helpful and kind Thank you for a magical birthday celebration! PS did I mention the incredible Hudson River views and the beautiful spiritual energy all around?

We found this venue while searching for historical spaces for our Sunday brunch wedding local to us in Westchester NY The overhaul of the location was beautifully done and expertly refreshed without the team losing any of the charm or sacred historical relevance of the buildingFrom the onset, Gina Bonacci was highly responsive and accommodating to our questions and requests

Her attention to detail and thoroughness in planning out the day and surrounding timeline was highly appreciated She was very mindful of planning objectives and tracking everything of any significance Negotiations and contracts were easy to navigate and simple to understandOn the day prior to and of our Wedding, Gina served as the coordinator, timekeeper and utility player She was responsive and on top of everything we needed The entire staff was a pleasure to work with and accommodating Everyone from the hotel desk staff and cleaning team, servers, bartenders, valet and line cooks were all professional and courteousAnna and I could not recommend the venue or the team there more The day was beautiful, simple and elegant just as we were looking for The rooms were clean and well maintained and the food and drinks were fresh, tasty and well preparedWe look forward to anniversary meals, spa days and future events at the venue

The hotel staff were pleasant enough and the grounds are lovely My husband and I have a few hiccups that were pretty inexcusable though This is mostly related to the spa

The spa staff are very disorganized and were confused when we arrived for our schedule appts Not a great start to a $360 massage The massage therapists were Tony and another man Although nice, both my husband and I agreed that our very expensive massages were basically an hour of heavy petting It was pretty much the worst massage I have ever had No pressure whatsoever, despite indicating nicely that they could use more pressure It seems they were both tired and didn’t want to expend any energy Ok I understand, but then we shouldn’t be charged over $420 (with the ‘suggested’ yet heavily implied gratuity by the front desk staff) for the worst massages we ever had I had to book a massage with my therapist in Manhattan just to feel satisfied Awful — do better or reduce your rates to $50 at best

Our overall experience in this hotel was average ‘good’ Nothing really stood out as exemplary but almost everything was as expected They did not have any rooms available as of the 3pm check-in and we had to wait till about 3:35

The only real negative was that the desk chair was very loose and felt ready to break We didn’t use it Also, the TV should be a little bigger than the 32″ or so size that was in the room

Totally unimpressed I don’t count pennies when paying for delicious food, but I hate being charged premium prices for mediocre food That’s what we received at this restaurant on Easter Sunday

Based on this experience I wouldn’t revisit this restaurantOur food was cold The steaks were not cooked the way we ordered it It was almost like the chef did not know the different among well done, medium, medium well, or rare temperatures The eggs were obviously from a box and arrived cold as ice We weren’t served the potatoes that were supposed to accompany or steak and eggs dishSome people salmon which I was told was also cold and rather bland Our desserts were served with the ice cream completely melted into a puddle in the plate and the coffee arrived cold We waited almost 30 minutes to place an order for fresh drinksFor an occasion brunch charging a premium rate I really would look at some other options There are so many places to eat who knows what they charge but maybe you’ll get something tasty You won’t get that at Kittle House’s Easter Brunch Buyer beware

András Szuromi

Excellent food, good service, outstanding recommendations and attitude! Well done! This place is very American and very traditional Lobster bisque is a must have The best I have ever had

Duck breast is outstanding Prepared with care the wild rice and the flavoring of the garnish very unique The sauce of the venison loin together with the slow steamed vegetables give a very special experience Varlhona chocolate gift is also a must have Puff pastry with hot dark chocolate filling inside together with whipped cream and strawberry on the side If you come to New York do not miss this upstate gem They are also serving Sunday Brunch The house also operates as a hotel in a unique place surrounded by nature Very nice garden where you can also book tables

Paul Chez Sanchez

Absolutely fantastic restaurant The food was amazing, I had the Pork Shank and the meat just fell off the bone The restaurant setting was very nice and well stated

The staff could not have been better They were right there with everything we could want, but NOT hovering or intrusive at all Our main waiter Lenny was so nice and accommodating, we we’re having a b-day party for my Aunt, Lenny was great in taking our family pics for us Also, when I go to bars & restaurants, I am always hesitant to ask if they have any single malt scotch, and maybe they’ll have a 12yr Glenlivet or Macallan, this place had at least 25 different single malts from all areas of Scotland & excellent distillery’s across the board And the prices were not anywhere near what I expected Worth every penny 1000% recommend for any special event

We booked a night for March 12 We modified the reservation on my account to March 26-28 We still got charged for a no show

We called every day for 3 days asking for manager help and no response We called customer service and they said we should be able to cancel the reservation if the hotel agrees And she refuses to agree She lied to my husband stating she already talked to me which she never did Her name is Kelly We filed a formal complaint with customer service She has nothing but rude and inconsiderate to us We tried to do everything right to cancel and modify with enough time It was not our fault with the error in billing She refused to reason with us and help us

Not your average Red Roof Inn For starters, this was the absolute “BEST” Red Roof Inn I ever stayed in The staff was extremely nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful

The room was very clean The bed was comfortable The hotel offers coffee, tea & juice A to go bag is available for breakfast which has a muffin, bottle of water and granola bars The location was ideal Near the highway, shopping and restaurants Security is very good as far as needing your electronic key card to enter through side doors and your room I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to others The view from the front of the hotel is beautiful too (facing a lake) I travel a lot and if more Red Roof Inn’s we’re like this one, I’d stay with them more often A++

I’ve only spent one night, so far it serves my needs well It is clean and appears well kept It is hands down a major improvement over the Newburgh hotel and conference center

My bags were not moved across the room by roaches In fact I’ve not seen any thing crawling in the room Towels appear to be rather small but, I bring my own washcloths and towels It’s just oogies me out using someone else’s towels and washclothsOverall this Red Roof inn is leaps and bounds better than any Red Roof inn I’ve ever stayed at And you have anything you would need as far as food or groceries within a half mile This is a hidden gem!

David Jaeger

The hotel itself is clean and well managed The GM is very mindful and does their job well Dogs were also allowed at the hotel the last time I was there in June 2022

The rooms are nice and there is a lot of parking There isn’t a lot to do nearby but there are plenty of fast food spots nearby, a Walmart, and if you want a good meal there is a diner immediately in front of the hotel called Ikaros Diner that has great food and desserts

As a traveling team for the National Guard and the United States Army, we have all been exposed to several tiers of hotel amenities, professional staff, and concierge services at different establishments across the East Coast However, in the past 18 years very few hotels stand out, let alone are highlighted by seasoned hotel customers like us This Hotel is at the top of our list, hands down! We were first greeted by the most professional staff in the state of New York

Silvia and Sandy Took charge immediately over our questions, queries for tourist attractions, and local resources They satisfied any information quandary we had and swiftly solved every issue that could have been a quality detractor 5 star service all around! Not to be out done, Peter, one of the night auditors, was super attentive, detail oriented, and displayed a sincere desire to please us in every wayThis hotel along with everyone employed there, to include all the housekeeping staff members, janitorial custodians, and especially the most warming and welcoming kitchen attendees we have ever had the pleasure of meeting They took the time to show us exactly how to exploit every Inch of the continental breakfast offerings, snacks, and 24 hour coffee bar Ms Laurie greeted every one of our 10 military instructors with a smile and a loving attitude that reminded us of home Ms Laurie’s positive attitude brightened our day and made us look forward to coming back to the hotel at night, which is a credit to the general manager Ms Christina who obviously handpicked every staff member of this hotel, directly from New York’s “most hospitable employees” list, if that was a thing! Words cannot describe how happy this stay was for our team and how the employees went out of their way to make sure every detail of our trip was a memorable one Highly recommend a stay here for a night or a month! This is the place

margaret chambers

A perfect place to stay for a week or two We checked in after a few weeks of travel and have been through a number of hotels, and this one was so far the most welcoming and comfortable we’ve been in Sylvia at the front desk was wonderful and took care of everything we needed, and the chairs and beds are much cushier than the stiff plastic and understuffed mattresses we’ve been dealing with in the past

It’s also a good distance from the main road, meaning it’s nice and quiet Would stay again

Noreen Lyons

Location nice, rooms clean and average HOWEVER a LOT of noise travels in hallway and thru connecting door

kept me up half the night Rooms need to be better insulated and put those people that travel together in the adjoining rooms, then they can deal w each others noise I had to wear earplugs to tune out the neighbors TVI would stay again and beg for a room AWAY FROM OTHERS AND NOT accept an adjoining room ever

The staff was really nice It was clean The cleaning crew was there every morning

Our room was clean and well stocked If you want to enjoy the pool go early in the morning We were there for 2 nights and the pool was full of kids splashing from the afternoon until it closed at 11pm The room had an ironing board, iron, hair dryer, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker

James Holloman

Hotel was dirty, there was a water leak from the lobby ceiling which was collected in dirty mop buckets during our entire 5 day stay The gym was unkempt and equipment was not in working order The rooms had stains on our bed sheets upon check in and the staff allowed children to run through the hallways after quiet hours

The hotel has said they will do nothing in regards to compensation On our last day the water to our rooms were cut off without warning due to repairs being done on their water lines When expressing that we would now have to travel to the airport without being able to clean or use facilities we were told it’s our checkout day therefore it shouldn’t matter to us First bad experience at a Hilton property

Cherrine Blanco

My husband and I booked this hotel last minute for a nice couples relaxing weekend When we walked in the hotel appeared clean and bright After checking in we headed up to our room assigned (306) and boy were we surprised

The room was stuffy and extremely hot We turned the AC and stepped out to dinner in hopes to cool the room down and get rid of the smell that was in the room once we got back After spending a night out on the town we came back to a still hot gross room I went to call the front desk with the phone in the room however, the phone was not working We had to go back downstairs to the front desk to let the staff know in which he said sometimes that happens and gave us instructions on how to possibly ‘fix’ the issue HE offered to come up to the room himself to check out the problem After coming upstairs to check the problem he then offered us a different room down the hall which was sooooo much better We did leave a day early due to the conditions and what we experienced I wouldn’t recommend hereNEGATIVES: The hotel has 1 elevator, they do offer breakfast which we did not partake in, the bathroom in the room was so tiny, the shower curtain was gross even in the new room, there is absolutely no room to move around the bathroom, the shower heads are disgusting, the pool area we opted not to use because it looked gross, the parking lot filled up really quickly we had to park slightly off the property, we also noticed that a lot of the times we would leave and come back there wasn’t a front desk person therePOSITIVES: A LOT of eateries within the area and in walking distance, off I84, a mall about 15 minutes away, gas station next door, offered k pods in the room, the tv in the room pulls out and turns

A hidden gem! The MTK hotel ( formerly Holiday Inn) was a perfect place for my business trip Not knowing the area well, the hotel offered everything I needed The restaurant was wonderful

Make sure to see Ed in the restaurant! He will make sure you don’t go hungry And will ensure he sets your ordered meal aside should you have to arrive late Just call ahead The hotel is very clean and well appointed The room was very comfortable and quiet Will have my staff use this hotel when traveling in the region

Brenda deGraw

It was expensive The food was awful for the cost I was disturbed by being stuck with vehicle breakdown and they brought us there closest to Meineke garage

I had two children No room service No continental breakfast past 9amSnacks were outrageous Yet they did give me milk for the little guy A very expensive trip to see my daughter in prison It was a disaster

Briana Post

Hotel MTK has fake pictures up with a description of “renovated” when it in fact has not been The manager says he begs corporate to take down the fake pictures and they refuse When you open the door you’re hit in the face with 50 year old cigarette must and mold smell

The lights are so dim you can’t see a thing inside The curtains don’t close The 50 year old wall unit struggles to spit out musty air but it’s still hot and muggy in the room The TV is an original flatscreen and can’t handle the way cable looks know so it hurts your eyes to look at it It sounds like people are inside your room when they walk by Doors slamming all night and early morning Want a migraine in the morning? This place is for youThey apologized the next morning and offered to refund me the night (I booked 4 nights) but instead they never checked me out and charged me $70575 for one horrible night

Overlook is a perfect example of why we love B & B visits It is a comfortable, clean, and interesting spot The views of the Hudson, the pool and patio, and the outdoor dining space are great

The indoor common areas are spacious and welcoming The breakfast each morning was delicious But we expect all those things when staying at a B & BWhat makes Overlook on the Hudson special are the people Kim and her parents are kind, hard working and efficient tending to all the details They put their hearts into making sure all are having a relaxing and memorable timeNow, if they can only ensure that Army beats Navy…

We stayed at this beautiful home for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed it The room we stayed in was lovely- it had a view of the river and a great shower – and the outdoor space is fabulous it was truly relaxing to sit outside drinking a glass of wine and taking in the fabulous view

Kim was a very gracious host She shared her memories of growing up in the house with us, but also afforded us our privacy Breakfast was ample and delicious, served elegantly at one of the outdoor tablesI enthusiastically recommend staying here if you have any reason to be in the area

Bonnie Rovics

Wonderful B & B !! The view is fantastic! So to begin with a wow and then layer on the rest Beautiful decor, comfort and class, the bed was very comfortable, medium firm pillow top, really nice linens The pool was warm and we could have spent hours there! The room was beautiful and comfortable with minor issues However, our stay here started off poorly when we attempted to check in and the front desk staff told us our room wasn’t ready and walked away before saying anything further while we waited (check in was at 4pm, we arrived at 4:15) Another issue we ran into was that the next morning we went down for breakfast about 9:25am

We grabbed food and not thirty seconds after we sat down, staff began breaking down the breakfast set up before it seemed all guests were able to get food My partner was hoping to grab a bagel, but she was not able to Additionally, the single most important reason that I selected this hotel was that it had a hot tub However, staff chose to clean the hot tub not before 10am when the pool opened, but at 10am so it was unable to be used before we had to check out Much of the stay felt cheap and as if amenities were limited due to it being a weekday However, we paid for our stay and expected access to the amenities Will probably not stay here ever again

The rooms were comfortable My sheets had a couple of stains on them and the rooms are on the smaller side The front desk was not very clear when I asked for directions so I had to navigate a bit off the path before finding my destination

The complementary breakfast was okay, but not a lot of vegetarian or vegan options Walmart is across the street so that is a plus for buying things that you may need There are fast food restaurants that surround the hotel as well as a wine store and a shopping center

The hotel is decent, the technology and space is old, no toaster in the kitchen & the gym & pool are small The problem however is how RUDE the staff is- especially the manager of the hotel, CathyWe were on a long term stay for work (a period of 9 months but we had to cut it short & leave after 3 months) because of the micro-aggressions particularly towards me, a person of color

At breakfast while I waited in the lobby, a member of the staff came up and said “are you waiting for someone?” and I told her I was waiting for my husband & she said, “can’t you wait in your room?” I was shocked I asked her if it wasn’t okay for me to be there & she said “No, it’s okay But I have to vacuum here” WOW And this person greeted those around me with a ‘hello’ & ‘good morning!’ A few smaller things were said but I decided not to pay attention to itBut this incident below forced us to leave: my husband and I walked into the banquet hall on a quiet Sunday evening – it was open & not in use We were filming a quick video about soccer & couldn’t find a good spot anywhere else & it was raining outside A minute into the video & the front desk person walked in & asked us to “get out” He said it was a paid space and we could not use it without permission We immediately apologized, we had no idea but also having lived there three months they knew us and we thought they would communicate more politely We asked the staff member why he was being so rude when we had no trouble admitting our fault and he said “I was told that you are creating a nuisance and that was a miscommunication That’s why I came in hot” And he didn’t apologize, only justified his rudeness We left it at thatThe next day we were sent emails from the management stating that it was brought to their attention “that a situation happened in our event space” So I went to the manager’s office hoping that she could hear our side of the story because there seemed to be some miscommunication When I told her that I found the staff member and the email rude she said “YOU DON’T THINK WHAT YOU DID WAS RUDE? YOU USED A SPACE WITHOUT PERMISSION I’VE WORKED HERE LONG ENOUGH AND I CONSIDER THIS MY HOUSE YOU DON’T THINK IT’S RUDE TO WALK INTO SOMEONE’S HOUSE AND USE A SPACE YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO?”… I mean… Just… wowThe difference between a ‘mistake’ vs ‘rudeness’ seemed to elude her I understand supporting your staff but as a manager you want to placate both parties? Also, this is not her house I pay to be there And if you’re the “host” then you don’t ask your guests to “get out” So I didn’t think there was a point in talking any further and told her, “I guess then it’s better we leave” to which she replied “YES, I DON’T THINK THIS WAS A GOOD FIT”I cried As a person of color that stung deeply -the choice of words She said we weren’t a good fit because we used an open, unused banquet hall space for less than 60 seconds? And when she saw me cry she passed a box of tissues- no apologyThe Hyatt desperately needs to train their staff in basic hospitality and while humanity and decency cannot be taught, a training in RACE RELATIONS might help to some effortI will never come back I will never recommend anyone to itIf you have to stay here, it’s understandable Some of the staff members are kinder- Lauren, Judy, Jackie- stick with them You’ll be in good handsIf you’re expecting good service and kindness, I’d suggest you go to the residence inn or other hotels nearby They are MUCH BETTER and definitely won’t make you feel like you dont “fit in their space”

I cannot express enough how much I loved staying at Bear Mountain Inn! My boyfriend and I planned a last minute trip here and from before we even booked the trip, Bear Mountain Inn was extremely helpful and accommodating Commuting from the city can be confusing and they were very helpful with instructions (if you’re planning on coming from NYC, use Coach USA! Drops you off right in front of the hotel) They also were kind enough to give us early check-in since our bus dropped us off so early! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was so clean and cozy

The resort itself has plenty to offer and is incredibly beautiful We did not go to the restaurant, but the front desk was kind enough to give us a list of places that deliver to the hotel which was so helpful Check-out is 11am, but our bus was not arriving until 5pm The front desk was beyond kind enough to let us leave our bags in the lobby so we could enjoy a few more hours of the resort I never write Google reviews, but I had to for the Inn Thank you Bear Mountain Inn for such an amazing experience!!!

We stayed in room 304 Room was extremely clean, bathroom slightly outdated and worn, bed was comfy and room larger than expected Extremely helpful and friendly

Rather hard to sleep with air conditioner requiring major updating AC unit in room was very noisy, extremely cold when on then when off room got rather warm Hotel was pleasant inside, would recommend to stay during week as opposed to weekend to avoid large dirty crowds of people blasting music and leaving trash all over lake picnic area…that was disappointing and sad to see

We had a wonderful lunch at this inn We were greeted and led to a perfect table by the open door

allowing the beautiful breeze and view to join our table, which added to the start of a perfect dining experience The staff was amazingly attentive, the food made to perfection, and our waitress, Debra , could not have done anything more to make our experience more delightful She was pleasant, emphatic about the menu, and very attentive to all of our requests and questions We even let the manager know that his staff were just wonderfulhe too was delightful and happy to hear about our experience Do not go to Cold Spring without having lunch or dinner at Hudson House and Inn !

We recently stayed here and we highly recommend it First, we were treated well by Tami, who booked our reservation, and even gave me her cell number if I needed anything; then we were taken very good care of by Mike He was amazing

If I could have packed him in my suitcase and brought him home, I would have He makes everything easier He made our stay very nice with his attention to detail and helpful waysThe location, historical value, clean rooms, delicious food, and excellent customer service make this place a great choice the next time you visit Cold Spring

We had the pleasure of hosting our son & future DIL’s rehearsal dinner for 35 here last Saturday night Working with Craig planning this went smoothly – I am VERY particular & have hosted numerous events for our 3 kids & family- but he was response & kept up & executed all I needed

We didn’t get a chance to thank Chef John in person but have to say, being foodies, we & our guests were beyond pleased Everything was great & they even packed up 2 complete dinners for my sister & hubby as their flight was delayed so they joined at the hotel & enjoyed everything immensely! Several of our guests needed alternatives to my planned menu & were accommodated with delicious meals, not just something thrown together! We could not have asked for better service from Judy & Amanda & bartender Tammy (Mike Too)- They get it! The restaurant is a short walk to the water & the “kids” took pictures at the gazebo there between courses We wish Hudson House was closer to home so we will just have to enjoy the lovely ride up there again soon
