As a loyal business customer, everytime my employees were needed anywhere in the area I always had them stay there On my last booking I personally called and the owner answered the phone and took my reservation I have him the credit card info and reserved the rooms

At the time I was quoted the rate per room per night After they checked out I got the text alert what was charged to my card Being significantly higher than the quote I called the hotel to hopefully get the issue corrected The person on duty wouldn’t honor the price that was quoted by the owner I hope they spend the money well cuz they will never ever see me there again nor my employees or the restaurant The hotel has ruined the relationship that was established over years of business I would certainly not recommend that anybody stay and if they do for whatever reason I’m very strongly recommending you do not give them a credit card God only knows what you’ll get billed

I was traveling down to Johnstown for drill and this was one of the only hotels I could find that wasn’t booked I got there and the man had me walk down to the third floor with him to check the room It was dark and grimy, absolutely disgusting

I was told the room use to be storage and it had weird stains on the carpet Not to mention it smelled horrible I ended up driving 43 minutes to a different hotel at 11:30 pm after being there for less than an hour

The room was very clean, and there were so many extra amenities The desk clerks were awesome, kind, and friendly Our breakfast was delicious, and many great choices

Your prices can’t be beaten Stayed at a hotel in Nashville the night before and paid four times the amount and the room was not good at all Comfort Inn will always be my first choice Every Comfort Inn I’ve stayed at has been an awesome experience Your staff goes all out to make you feel like family Thanks again to everyone ❣

Nickea Peachey

I am overall very pleased with our stay We booked a King suite with the jacuzzi tub for the weekend The tub was decent sized

The room was clean, the bed and bedding were comfortable Staff was very nice and let us check in early The WiFi was up to speed The only recommendation I would make is more shelving in the showers to hold your shampoo/conditioner bottles The breakfast area was kind of small and crowded if there were other people trying to get food the same time as you The elevators and sprinklers in the room are a little outdated Other than that, this hotel is very nice and I would recommend it to anyone We will definitely be back!

Trista Mcafee

We were greeted by Mandi when we had checked in Everyone I had came across always had a smile on and very upbeat even with a busy weekend and of course we didn’t have a snow scraper and they let us use theirs

Rooms were very clean, spacious and up to date on everything Breakfast was also great selection of food I would 100% stay here again

This was a great hotel stay! The staff is incredibly helpful and the place is clean and quiet Even though it was going through current updating, I was never bothered by excess noise or issuesBreakfast is amazing

The beds are SO comfortable!!

Kate Altman

The staff was excellent The room was nice, but the without curtains or carpet, it was actually kind of loud Also the hallway/lobby was very loud late at night

Thursday night was ok, but Friday and Saturday nights there were large groups in the dining area and kids running down the halls, both making a lot of noise until 11:30 or 12:00 at night Between that and the renovation work starting at 8:00 am during the week, it made it hard to get any rest

This Hampton has just had it’s interior totally remodeled It is like a new hotel The rooms are very clean and cozy

Beds are comfortable and towels are very soft The breakfast was very very good with lots of options of things to eat Included cheese omelets, diced potatoes with peppers and onions, and maple eckrich type sausage The staff was very friendly and helpful I stay at hotels alot and at different chains This is at the top of the list for best hotel and breakfast Best Hampton I have been in You won’t be dissappointed

Caleb Gladfelter

The beds aren’t the most comfortable and the pillows are just small throw pillows There were noticeable stains on the carpet as well Everything else about the room was decent and expected of a 2 star motel

The continental breakfast was a bit better than I expected All-in-all, not a bad choice for an overnight stay, but far from the best

Qiana Treadwell-Osikoya

I WISH I’d taken pics but I was enjoying myself so much I didn’t even think about it!!! Lol!The location is perfect: VERY easy to find, right off the interstate, across the street from grocery stores, movie theater and restaurants The desk attendant was professional, efficient, kind, accommodating, considerate and extremely helpful She made sure we were aware of all the amenities and things the hotel had to offer, including the free breakfast

Offered late check out, knowing that I was physically exhausted from our long drive (we arrived around 5am) She even offered to help my daughter and I unpack the car and get our luggage up to our suite I wish I’d taken her name so I could leave a proper commendation for her EXCELLENT service! Our rooms were CLEAN, beautifully styled, comfortable and had everything we needed, including a walk-in glass shower, microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker We had a little issue with the plumbing, though HOWEVER, when I called down to the front desk, there was a gentleman sent to the room IMMEDIATELY (within 10-15 minutes of my call!), who took care of the problem with no grumbling or complaining! He even offered to let them know that the flow and water pressure was low/slow so we wouldn’t be blamed or charged for any reason! (Being physically disabled, all of these things are helpful)Bottom line, we had a FANTASTIC time, service was INCREDIBLE, accommodations were IMPECCABLE and we will MOST ASSUREDLY stay at this location when we return! We LOVE Johnstown Sleep Inn!!! 👍🏾👏🏾💜🤗💜👌🏾👍🏾

Timothy Stueve

Daily housekeeping? YES!! When we came back to the room the towels were changed and trash emptied Because we left some things on the bed the bed wasn’t made Asked the front desk the next morning about housekeeping

Sleep Inn corporate policy is for daily housekeeping A sister property next door (Comfort Suites) only does housekeeping on request From now on we’ll try to stay at a Sleep Inn if possible

Amazing breakfast! Relaxing pool area & we loved the patio! If staying in Somerset make this hotel your first choice, you won’t be disappointed

We stayed this weekend while visiting the Flight 93 Memorial We played a little game with our “golden Eggs” and Where’s George Dollars so I hope whoever took them will have some fun with them The ladies at check-in on Saturday night were very accommodating since we didn’t have a reservation

We had a room and were upstairs in less than 10 mins The room was great(although if you want a tub ask for a room with one) – we had a very nice large walk in shower Very clean! All the amenities Breakfast in the morning was very good Lots to pick from Checkout was a breeze If we are ever in the area again this will be our first choice!!

LyndaC

My room was immaculate, clean and fully stocked with amenities , only thing missing were tea bags; just coffee pods were available (but no biggie) Kudos especially to the staff, Rebecca who literally secured the last room in the hotel for me at 1030 pm via the phone, and Richard who took his time at midnight to help me with mapping an alternate route to work around the turnpike construction that had cost me two extra hours of driving earlier that day Fairfield needs to clone these two for their other properties so I can stay in and enjoy the rest of my journey

Having a free hot breakfast to wake up to is also a perk!

We got charged $250 for smoking in the room and we went outside to smoke every single time! I spoke with the general manager, Kathy, and she informed me that the charge would not be removed When I told her I would write a poor review on every social media platform she said “that’s fine” Next, I told her that my friends, family, and myself would never stay at her hotel again

Her response to that was, “if your friends smoke we don’t want them here anyways” Very unprofessional and unkind

Joshua

This was the most disturbing/disgusting place that I have ever stayed in First off they never changed the sheets or washed the comforter There was lipstick, hair and blood on the sheets and pillow cases

worst of all there was male bodily fluids all over the carpet and box spring We tried to use the wirlpool tub and it filled up with crusty yellow debris and body hair like a lot of hair and crust We tried to use the provided coffee pot in the room and it still had a old ,used coffee pod left in it and had mold all over the it, not coffee stained actual mold! The floors were sticky and filthy And last but not least there was 2 bee’s flying around in our bedroom in the middle of winter !?! They had old water lines and a open sewer/drain pipe sticking out of the living room wall behind the fridge which every time you flush the toilet you can smell sewage I’m pretty go with the flow almost white trashy to be honest and I was traumatized by the state of the room

It was comfortable and clean, although had signs of age and use They had a smart TV that I could cast my phone to and watch my shows on The pool was warm and relaxing

We ate at the restaurant Service was nice but slow, even though not many people were being served My fries were overcooked, but the burger was delicious

Lee Silverman

Most staff were willing to listen to concerns, but not one member of staff or management over a weekend stay seemed to have authority to do more than give extra towels Service was very spotty Rooms had bad odor, but our three room party could not be relocated

Promised consideration in room fee, but no one had authority to make the change Hotel restaurant had very nice service and very good dinner, with good selection and tasty, but the breakfast was awful Housekeeping was very vocal about not cleaning rooms, and then did not Elevator got stuck with family in it Management showed no concern

This place was awesome when I stayed two years ago, however, I can’t say the same today 2 years ago, in the midst of the holiday season, I booked a room through the hotels website and had no issues The room was large and clean, and despite there being no breakfast or gym/pool due to Covid, it was a great deal for the price

Now let’s fast forward to this evening I booked a non-refundable reservation through a travel site to save 10% (my first mistake apparently) I get to the hotel to check in and the lady behind the desk asks if I’m from Altoona I tell her yes and she says she can’t give me a room Apparently there’s a policy in place that they don’t rent to people within a 50 mile radius Why, you may ask? I know as well as you do She told me the policy has been in place since at least she started working there 23 years ago, nevermind the fact that I was able to get a room less than 2 years ago with no issues, hassles, or questions asked Okay, now I’d understand if it was a major holiday and they were on the verge of being booked solid, but no, it’s just a regular Friday night, no Curve game in town, no special events in town

Angie Marcks Bemis

I’ve stayed here a number of times over the past two years and almost all have been pleasant experiences Clean comfy beads are always a highlight for meThe bathrooms are a little worn but very clean, and the water pressure and temperature are always great

The free muffins and yogurts at breakfast is portable enough for me to take with me on the next legs of my tripOn one occasion my male companion stayed outside to have a cigarette while I checked in and headed up to our room When he tried to come in and go past, the older woman at the front desk stopped him and then proceeded to call me in the room to make sure I really was expecting someone As a woman who normally travels alone, I really appreciated this gesture and her effort to keep me safe from potential harmMy first visit was during the height of Covid, and I didn’t love that the young woman at the front desk didn’t seem bothered to pull her mask up over her nose But I suppose it was still better than the several men who were hanging around in the lobby maskless and taking turns going out to smoke directly in front of the doors so that the smoke wafted in Luckily I had a room on the second floor that time to the smoke didn’t bother me much after I walked away

I used to stay here all the time when I was younger I stayed there for the first time in 10 years lat evening and was terribly disappointed The room could have used a cleaning, there were no towels when we arrived, no soap in the bathroom, the TV did not function, several outlets didnt work so our phones weren’t charged but the worst was the heat

The wall heater no longer functioned so they provided a portable heater that was not up to the job It was 20 degrees last night and the room was bitter cold the whole I will not come back

Castiel Hess

Used to be a nice place, stayed here before after we got married apparently 10 years sent this place down hill Stayed in room 7, there was no heat, we were given portable heater (that couldn’t possibly be approved by an insurance company) It took the edge of a 20 degree night, but was still too cold to sleep

Mind you we could hear the wind whistling in the walls The TV was not functional, no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands, had to seek out someone to get us towels for the shower

gigglesinpa

I stayed at this hotel several times through out the last 15 yrs, but this will be the very last time i use this hotel, the staff is nice but not very accommodating, i was giving a room that need some cleaningthe rugs needed vacuuming, the table need waxing and on half the outlet worked I also asked if there was a room available with a refrigerator, due to the fact my husband is diabetic and take insulin, i was told the rooms were being saved for the baseball team that was coming in (which not all showed up)

I was given a dish pan which looked dirty and told i can buy ice and put my drinks in that I was there for three day and had to make my own bed, what a disappointment because i really loved that place one time plus the price we paid we could have gone to a Corporate hotel and got better service (but we like to keep it local) next time it won’t ever be Murphy Inni

Our stay at The Fairview Bed and Breakfast was great The hosts are extremely courteous, knowledgeable, responsive and great company The rooms are amazing, each room has its own theme, electronically locked with your own personal code and is tastefully decorated as such

We stayed in the Old World Suite during our trip to a friend’s Birthday And finally the breakfast was delicious and filling, to start we hand a fruit cup followed by our choosing of stuffed french toast with eggs and sausage We finished off the meal with a muffin and coffee Whenever we are in the area again visiting we will most definitely stay at The Fairview Bed and Breakfast

Bob Burkhart

Wow, where do we begin What a great place The rooms are quite large and very clean, the dining room is huge, the grounds are expansive

We stayed in the seaside room The bed was so comfy that we weren’t looking forward to sleeping in our own bed when we got homeThere’s a lot of history here from starting as a boarding school, to being transformed to a nursing home, then apartments and finally after 3 years of renovations the B&B The B&B is very close to downtown and all the great things Ebensburg has to offerAll this being said it’s not the building that makes this such a great place, it’s the owners and their family Rose and Jim are great! Rose prepared our breakfasts with my dietary restrictions in mind all without a second thought Rose and Jim were like our very own personal local guides helping to direct us as to where to go and where not to go They graciously offered their suggestions on various sites to see, how best to get there and when it was best to goWe started out as strangers and left feeling like family Thanks so much for helping to make our 40th wedding anniversary get away a wonderful experience! God’s blessings to you and your family!

Katie Conetta

We stayed here over the summer even though we have family locally The breakfast and service are wonderful! This is family-run and owned and we were treated as family during our stay The rooms were well decorated, comfortable and neat/clean

My oldest son and I stayed for 1 week while my dad extended his stay to 3 weeks and was sorry to leave We absolutely would recommend to anyone and plan to stay here in the future God bless Jim, Rosemary, Melissa and their family
