This was the absolute worst stay ever first house keeping went through my personal belongings and took things and then the general manager there won’t reach out or contact anyone they only listen to what there staff says and that it’s I have called multiple times no response or no answer The noise in the hotel was absolutely horrible through the night kids running and screaming all times through the night my own son that is 10 was up all night from the house

The kids running around during breakfast touching everything and running into everything The general manager doesn’t reach out or care about guest concerns Do not waste your time here

The hotel was comfortable and well kept Breakfast was OK and as a free perk was ok but could be better The staff put up with our baseball team all weekend and we tried to be aware of other guests

The suite bathrooms could be nicer and bigger The toilet was about 8 inches from the vanity and the door cleared the bowl by 2 inches There is a lot of space in the suites and remodeling the bathrooms to take a bit of space from the room is certainly doable

Ryan Blumenthal

The room was comfortable and the sheets and blankets were clean The shower takes a long time for it to get warm which was a bit annoying as we don’t always have a ton of time Breakfast was your average hotel breakfast nothing special or poor

The pool was nice for the bball team Overall not to bad but there are nicer ones in that same area

K Klapkowski

The folks here were so accommodating and kind! We had lost our reservation at another hotel and we were looking for another room on the spot and the lady at the front desk was able to find us a room at the last minute Thank you thank you!The room was clean and the pool was nice!

This hotel is in a great location in Fells point I’ve stayed here in the past and had a great experience, but this time I was really disappointed with the housekeeping We checked in and our bathroom walls were covered in light brown liquid

I asked the front desk to have it cleaned and the person cleaning still missed spots of this brown liquid on the wall I noticed at bedtime our sheets were stained The next day housekeeping didn’t show up at all The front desk was supposed to send towels up, but that didn’t happen either Overall, the front desk staff was very nice, and I think the hotel is cool and in a great location I hope the housekeeping issue is addressed because it definitely negatively impacted our stay

Austin McAfee

Very cute hotel Good location if you choose to go out earlier in the eveningOnly complaint is that the hotel is still living in the past

A simple example is that the TV doesn’t even have a guide You literally have to scroll through channels like it’s the 80’s This may have been sufficient in the past, but it’s 2022 for God’s sake Most other hotels are offering free streaming services, but I can’t even get a guide for basic cable here You only realize the conveniences of most places after another place lacks themAdapt to the times please

John Hollis

Marisa and Jack were exceptional, made me feel right at home and were super friendly and personable Rooms were very clean and I enjoyed the historical significance of the hotel and the look of everything too The lobby transports you back to a simpler time and everything looks fantastic

The GM Jonathan has done a mighty fine job Also got to meet Mary, the controller, what a down to earth and majestic person, so polite and informative I’ll definitely recommend AFI to all I know visiting Charm City

Stayed at this hotel for one night and will never again First off, the hotel is going through a modernization and I understand problems with arise When I checked in I was giving room 339, a room on the far end of the hotel that seemed to be updated

Once in the room my son took a shower and when done told me the hot water was going in and out I didn’t think much of it until about a half hour later in the elevator a gentleman over hear me and my son conversation and asked what room we were in He had the exact same room the night before and had to be moved because of hot water issues I went to the front desk told them the situation and was told that they would get me a new room Eventually got a room across the hall, room 340, checked the hot water it seemed to be working The next morning wake up turn on the water to take a shower, no hot water I let the water run a good 5 minutes, still nothing I went down to the front desk informed the lady working everything that had transpired and she was very apologetic She offered me rewards points for a future stay or a discount room rate Since I was not a rewards member I opted for the discount rate She apologized again and told me an updated invoice would be sent to me via email I thanked her for her help and went on with my day Rest of the day went by, no new invoice That evening I get an email from the manager also apologizing for my stay At that time I checked my credit card to see if I was issued a refund/discount for my stay To my surprise was I not given a refund or discount for my stay I was actually charged $25 more than the original email invoice I was sent I then sent a reply email to manager asking to address the problems I have mention above Three days later, still no reply back from the manager but they were nice enough the charge me my original room rate Bottom line if you are in that area and looking for a hotel go somewhere else If I can make just one person who read this review change their mind about stay there I did my job!

Amber Guyer

This was a decent place for a quick overnight stay They are being remodeled, so things are not at their finest, but getting there We got a large room with 2 queen beds and a trundle under the couch

It was just the 4 of us so it was more than enough room They had fresh coffee, fruit infused water and cookies near check-in when we arrived late in the evening There’s a Cracker Barrel just a few minutes walk away, plus other places within a few minutes drive They had a decent breakfast available the next morning, cereal, muffins, fresh fruit and even prepackaged Jimmy Dean bacon or sausage sandwiches, plus coffee and juices The TV was being weird and we couldn’t get the volume to down we didn’t use it much

A very nice hotel for extended stays and short trips I was here for a couple weeks and the room was very spacious and well laid out Light switches took a minute to figure out and the bed side lights were a little brighter than expected

The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming and made it a point to greet me whenever our paths crossed The amenities included a well stocked breakfast every morning, featuring fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, warm biscuits, hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit, juices, toast, and lots of coffee! The hotel also features an exercise center with treadmills, stationary bikes, an elliptical machine(I believe), and a free weight rack with some benches There was always cleaning and sanitizing supplies on hand as well This is a wonderful hotel offset right beside the 695 entrance and just off one of the main roads through Towson, so access to comings and goings are very simple I thoroughly recommend this Holiday Inn Express if you’re stopping or staying in the Towson/Northern Baltimore area

Kenyon Bajus

Clean and comfortable Didn’t bother using the WiFi, gym or pool Free breakfast had lots of options

Eggs could have been better Front desk staff was friendly and pleasant Booked adjoining rooms, but they weren’t available upon arrival Close to the city with free parking seemed like a better option than staying in the city and dealing with parking garages Overall fine stay

We were in this area for youth sports and picked this hotel mostly based on proximity to Cedar Lane Park Our stay couldn’t have been better The staff was attentive and efficient, our room was clean and comfortable, the common areas, pool, breezeways, etc were clean and well maintained

The breakfast was standard fare for hotels of this type and had plenty to offer Overall, this hotel was clearly well managed and operated by dedicated and motivated people Will be back when I’m in this area again, would highly recommend

John Hoesch

Our first time staying here, and everything about this place is a notch above the rest, EXCEPT ONE THING, THE PILLOWS ARE TERRIBLE! They’re too soft and flat, and there’s no support for your neck From the front desk to the decor, and the rooms We got the King Suite, and it’s really nice! There’s a small kitchenette with a 2 burner electric stove, microwave, full size fridge, and complimentary snacks and soft drinks and water

A nice sofa in the sitting area with a swivel flat screen TV sitting on a chest of drawers, across from a desk and office chair with a charging station on the desk Then a king size bed with night stands on either side, also with charging stations The bathroom is large with a very roomy walk in shower The closet is right next to the bathroomThis is one of the best hotels we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in! The furniture is in excellent, like brand new condition

We parked in the back of the hotel because it was closer to our room and my vehicle has damage to 2 of the 3 doors from someone trying to break into it The rooms were not clean and did not feel secure The lock on the interior of our door to stop people from coming in was wiggling off

The access panel in the shower was falling open and we had multiple bugs in the bathrooms Room smelled like bleach and the ac unit sucked There were coffee stirrers and stains under our night stand and none of us used the coffee so they were from a prior guest There wasn’t enough toilet paper or towels in the room We got a double queen room and I don’t recommend it for a family stay (2 adults 1 toddler) We booked this room over others in the area because of the dining for breakfast as we have a picky eater child and when we got there we found out it was $5 a person for buffet style instead and it was not good at all and didn’t offer any of the items our child would eat which was disappointing We ended up eating out the rest of the trip due to this which was not what we anticipated for convenience and expenses I booked this through our Costco membership and got charged an extra $42 dollars at the hotel plus the $50 incidental deposit which completely voided the point of us staying there for the discounted rate The only reason this earned 2 stars was the staff, who were very nice for our interactions with them I don’t recommend staying here however for the other reasons listed

D

Clean, modern rooms and friendly, attentive staff I love Holiday Inn hotels because they have the most comfortable mattresses and pillows, it’s like sleeping on a cloud There’s a bar/restaurant in the lobby for when you don’t feel like going out and also plenty of restaurants and stores across the street in the plaza for when you do (ShopRite, Subway, McDonald’s)

There’s a Burger King and gas station just outside the front door of the hotel and a Walmart less than 8 minutes away This hotel is also just off I95 and only about a half hour from Downtown Baltimore We opted to stay here because it was more affordable than staying directly in Baltimore We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area

King Anthony C

I had a lengthy stay here for business rooms were clean and great housekeepingThe breakfast buffet however, only consisted of cooked eggs and bacon i for one do not prefer pork charging customers 5$ only providing the bare minimum is unacceptable I have been to other establishments under IHG who provided better quality and range of breakfast for my stays

I have been here a total of 4 days and I can tell you this place is the best by far in Baltimore! The staff is absolutely amazing! From the amazing front desk staff being very attentive to the amazing breakfast attendants The food every morning has been absolutely amazing! She is such a sweet lady that is working in the breakfast area The hotel everywhere you go smells so fresh! They really have chosen 5 star employees that actually like working here

I will definitely book again when in the area!

Shanah Bell

The hotel room itself was nice, spacious and clean However, the front desk staff was horrible With the exception of Tasha, who was here the morning we checked out only, everyone else at the front desk was rude, short, and extremely dismissive

I asked questions a few times since we don’t know the area and didn’t know where to fill up our water bottles Each time I was given an answer of “I don’t know” and told to wait prior to that because the front desk personnel was either on their cell phone talking to a friend or playing a gameI’ve worked in the hotel industry for years and have never seen this kind of behavior repeatedly As a customer, I expect for the person in interacting with at the front desk to greet me, be friendly and helpful If your don’t like speaking or interacting with customers, then a customer facing job isn’t what you should be doingThe breakfast was once of the worst we’ve encountered also It was sad, lacking and not full most of the time A couple of our kids went to the gas station in the same parking lot to get breakfast bowls insteadOverall, while the rooms were nice and they were pet friendly, I can’t say we’d ever come back or recommend this particular hotel

Kay K

I can’t say enough about the staff at this hotel I’ve never stayed anywhere with such friendly, accommodating people Everyone at this hotel is just the nicest person you would want to meet

And the breakfast is outstanding I was there to support a family member in a Johns Hopkins hospital – actually she moved between 2 hospitals during my week-long stay – so the location was perfect for me, but might be out of the way for some They have special rates for customers associated with Johns Hopkins, so book through them They also have a free shuttle to the hospitals on week days My room was quiet, sunny, and well appointed It was clean when I arrived Rooms are only cleaned between bookings

The Staff needs a class on customer service skills to professionally send a message on policy I wouldn’t stay here again I understand they deal with loud people all the time being close to the stadium

Friday at 9pm we just arrived and were told like 5 year old men and women to go to our room to finish watching the NCAA tourney as we ate our pizza That was way out of line They shut the TV off and took the remote away with 5 minutes left in the game They proceeded to call the police of which nothing came of that except the police said they were told there was a brawl going on It was evident that didn’t happen Their house rules we were told is no one is allowed in the common area at 9pm of which we weren’t told that while booking for if I was, I would not have stayed here At first they said children could t be unaccompanied anywhere in the hotel and then expanded it to adults also We then found a sign that read 10pm common area closure hidden and the guard verbally told us 11pm We were allowed to stay outside by the pool area the remainder of the evening which we did I knew when I walked in to check in, the way the lobby clerk greeted me very unwelcomingand treated me this was going to be less than a pleasant stay So much for $423 for 2 nights stay When I checked out today, I didn’t even receive a thanks for your business or come again Don’t worry, I won’t

Briar Ledge

The staff at the Hampton Inn Aberdeen really made a stressful extended stay feel like home Our stress was quickly relieved at the front desk the moment we arrived Anastasia and Melody went above and beyond in making sure everything was as comfortable as possible

Anastasia even stayed beyond her shift and greeted us daily with a friendly smile and wave She’s a treasure The next morning I was impressed again by Sabrina who chatted with me while she manned the breakfast nook Once again, someone made me feel less alone I honestly can’t say enough about the helpful and kind staff

Tracy DiLorenzo

Customer service and front desk was HORRIBLE on Friday night 3/25 One girl was Anastasia and the other did not have a nametag on and said I did not need her name when I asked We were literally kicked out of the lobby on a Friday night at 9:00 when we were just sitting having pizza watching the March Madness games

Front desk staff told everyone they had to go to their rooms at 9:00 even though the sign said lobby area was open till 10:00 and we asked the time when booking and told 10:00 One parent asked why they had to go to their room at 9:00, they were just watching the game and eating pizza and was told “Cause I said it was closing” He explained they wanted to watch the last two minutes of the NCAA game and she turned the TV off with two minutes to go and said “Go watch it in your room” Then a security guard came over and was extremely rude, told everyone to leave now and then called the police for no reason at all No one was being loud or rude except the staff It was the worst customer I have ever seen at a hotel and we travel a ton There are a ton of hotels in that area and will never stay there again I then asked for an extra box of tissues for our room and the two people at the front desk didn’t say a word, went and got a box of tissues and just handed it to be staring me down Never said a word, no have a good night, no sure let me get it for you, no thank you, not a single word I could not believe how rude they were for no reason Another parent did online check in with digital key and that did not work when they checked in so he came down to the front desk He was informed by one of the same girls that the digital key didn’t work and it was his fault he didn’t check in at the front desk instead of going right to his room, even though the email said they did not need to stop at the front desk The issue was not that the digital key wasn’t working, it was the fact that the front desk staff again was extremely rude They should not be in the hotel business if they don’t want to deal with customers I will tell everyone I know going to Aberdeen for a baseball tournament to not stay at the Hampton Inn There are plenty of hotels in that area that can accommodate teams that likely have better customer service

My husband and I had a wonderful one night stay at the Manor We were greeted warmly by one of the inn managers who was friendly and helpful giving us a tour and offering to make us dinner reservations if we didn’t already have them The weather was cold and windy but inside was warm and comfortable

The Manor is beautifully decorated with such a Downton Abbey feel Please note that it was impeccably clean! (Always important but especially during these times) We stayed in the Marmaduke room which is large, bright and comfortable with beautiful views of the bay and sunset Breakfast in the morning was all delicious (try the homemade granola) We would love to come back again in the warmer months to take advantage of the beautiful grounds and all they have to offer, however staying in with our in room burning fireplace lit was the perfect cozy romantic night we were looking for (Highly recommend fireplace season) Thank you for providing exceptional hospitality and a wonderful stay

John Sonnett

The Great Oak Manor is wonderful place to step out of your daily life and slow things down It was the ideal place for my wife and I to escape and reconnect The location is perfect, quiet and serene, surrounded by water and nature

And the innkeepers couldn’t have been more gracious, they made us feel like we had stayed there many times before Our room was lovely, clean, and comfortable We look forward to returning!

David Freese

Our experience at Great Oak Manor was exceptional While the weather was dreary, The warmth of the staff and Manor well made up for the rain The Manor itself was beautiful! The cleanliness and attention to detail and hospitality was unsurpassed to any B&B we had ever enjoyed

Breakfast was delicious and the special touches that are around every corner, make this experience one the most special We will be back and we expect that family and friends will make the trip…it’s well worth it! This place has the feel of going back in time…If you are an “old soul”-young or old- this place Is for you On our next visit, we will schedule dinner 3 days in advance If dinner is anything like breakfast, I have know doubt, it will be exceptionalDave and Laurie Freese, Salisbury, MD

Wandered in here looking for a place to eat and have a few drinks Great atmosphere, attentive staff, and amazing food My wife had the fried chicken sliders and cheese popovers which were awesome

I had the baby gem wedge to try something different I don’t usually enjoy blue cheese dressing but this was top notch!Really good food, decent drink selections, and excellent cocktails Would definitely recommend

Terrell Singleton

This place is on a stretch of great brunch places but did not have a bottomless mimosa option and though pricey the crab cake sandwich was good I bought a round of drinks to keep the peace about the pricing vs the generous gratuity already on the checkOur waitress was not as attentive as many of the places in the strip

It was mostly noticeable because we didn’t have bottomless mimosas to occupy us but had to keep re-ordering drinks one at a time a wait for the bartender to make the roundSomeone heard us talking and told us that dinner pricing vs portion is more reasonable…I guess come after 3 n u won’t leave hungry

Tracy Belaski

I’ve always enjoyed Waterfront, but I’m not convinced that the new ownership under Atlas is for the better The entire menu has been overhauled- gone are the days of solid, reasonably priced bar food and drinks The menu is also significantly limited

We ordered the spinach dip, which came with a measly serving of bread and a small bowl of potato chips – the potato chips seemed like an odd choice I also ordered the crab cake, which could have been good if it hadn’t been burnt to oblivion This cake was not a little over toasted – it was clearly burnt and should not have left the kitchen, especially considering it wasn’t a cheap entree in the first place Crab meat is expensive and they ruined it Under other circumstances I would have sent it back, but the service was slow for our entire visit and I was too hungry to wait around for new food I had to ask for a glass of water on 3 separate occasions before I finally got one There were 2 bartenders on duty: one who was experienced but was too busy gossiping with another employee most of the night, and one who clearly had no idea what he was doing and had very little experience dealing with a busy and fast paced environment I don’t think I’ll be coming back except for the few occasions that my friend’s band plays there, and I’ll definitely be dining somewhere else beforehand

When checking out at 4am I waited over 15 minutes because no one was at the front desk for me to checkout I finally called the hotel & a young man popped up from behind a desk in a room with a glass window directly behind the front counter I had awakened him, he looked startled

I asked were you sleep that whole time, I’ve been yelling hello for over 15 minutes & it took the phone to awaken you? He apologized & checked me out Other than that the hotel is beautiful, & the other staff were very helpful & friendly

Hands down the best hotels i stayed in a while On the road trip down to south, my family didn’t drive far enough to our expected destination and left with no hotel at 1am All hotels i called were fully booked

Front desk staff offered us one room with no show when we arrived at 2am He offered that huge suite room at the regular room price and extended our checkout to later time to allow us to rest! Room was huge, clean and well maintained Location is just off of 95 making our trip more convenient A huge shout out to Paul, who was the manager at the floor when we arrived Thank you for accommodating us!

After my semi truck had broken down my manager reserved multiple nights here I’ve done plenty of traveling and stayed in many hotels but the operating manager Paul made the hotel feel amazing In the morning there was a complimentary breakfast that was ever rotating in new items each day

The gym was extremely clean and had all the gear one would need The staff are friendly and accommodating If you need a night or multiple nights to stay choose this hotel The money is well worth it here

The hotel is not only physically in excellent condition, but more importantly the staff are extremely kind and friendly In particular, a gentleman named (I believe), Mr Patel, was exceptionally pleasant to deal with

They cook their own cookies – and it is extremely rare for a Hampton Inn to even have cookies near the coffee to begin with As someone who stays in about 110 hotels a year, I recommend this place It is not often that I take the time to review a hotel

The front desk employees are very welcoming and friendly I like this location because it sits back off the busy streets It’s somewhat secluded and it’s very quiet

Cleaning standards are above average The foyer is beautiful with ample seating areas There’s an outdoor patio area with bistro style tables and chairs, to include umbrellas The water temperature in the room, the over-sized shower head a pressure made for a perfect shower

James P

The staff was not accommodating, nor friendly Very hostile individuals working the front desk It’s a shame, because it’s a beautiful hotel and the room was fantastic

But as for “service”? The employees are absolutely atrocious I don’t understand why asking for towels is an issue You work in a HOTEL, find another job if you don’t want to serve your guests Absolutely disgusting attitudesDon’t let the name and location fool you, because the employees are bitter and angry for seemingly no reason This hotel needs proper management ASAP

adela botiquin

The attention in a very poor hotel, they don’t clean the rooms There are no soaps There are no clean towels

They don’t take the garbage out of the room There are no glasses to make a coffee If you ask them for water, they want to charge you and I’m here for 5 days with the same towels, incredible!! So much money and you have to take out your trash yourself I no recommend To stay here !!
