AVOID AT ALL COSTSI had a reservation at the Maui Banyan for two nights this month At 330am on the first night of my stay the fire alarm/carbon monoxide alarm started going off and I woke up to feel myself tight chested and dizzy When I turned on the bedside light, I woke up to find two cockroaches on my bed and later I found three more in the kitchen

It probably should have been a warning sign that when I walked in my unit there was a sign saying the 5 dates for scheduled bug extermination in August alone After calling the after hours line, the security and the front desk, this hotel is still holding me liable for both night of the stay and has been utterly unresponsive and uncaring to the unsanitary and unsafe conditions of their hotel Avoid this location, despite the pretty pictures, and find yourself a safe and clean spot elsewhere with a management company that cares about your concerns

I have been coming here for years If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t regret itMy husband and I, stayed here yesterday last minute due to having to leave our honeymoon with an emergency at home Very accommodating hotel Offered shuttle service from the airport Had the best service from the gentleman that worked the bar/restaurant area inside the hotel Very clean hotel and rooms Would absolutely stay again

Belinda Ma

This hotel has an excellent location near the airport (especially if you have an early flight the next day), the rooms are clean, comfortable and well-priced and it is also super-convenient to all of the shopping and food trucks in Kahului However, the best reason to stay here is the excellent customer service The staff and management is efficient, accommodating and very professional

They helped me with a big scheduling/technical error and handled it in the most professional and respectful manner I will definitely stay here again and customer services like this is why I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy customer!!!

Very welcoming, super clean hotel Was nice to stay there for 2 nights before our resort time began Bed very comfortable and shower amenities have a good smell

Only uncomfortable thing was the couch but those are typical of Courtyard’s and therefore has nothing to do with the comfort of this hotel I recommend this hotelI

This was a nice way to enjoy MauiThe room was clean and well stocked with everything you would need for a vacation The bed was comfortable! Our view was amazing and we were a short walk to the beach

This was our first trip to Maui and this place was made it a memorable, comfortable stay!Mahalo

J S

We stayed and b105 and the apartment was very comfortable and spacious The only downfall for us is having to pay for air conditioning and there was no TV in the bedroom The pool and hot tub was just steps away and really great

Plenty of tables chairs and loungers This was a staycation for us family of four Highly recommend this place to any families

Stephanie Fisher

We stayed four nights in a top floor corner unit of building D Pros: kitchen and baths were updated, w/d in until, great view from lanai, and restrooms right next to the pool Cons: there wasn’t an extra set of sheets, the bed in the master wasn’t exactly comfortable, and check-in wasn’t until 4pm but the office closed at 3pm

Bottom line, I would stay here again

What a lovely place to stay!!We had a wonderful time at the Pineapple Inn Mark and Steve were great hosts and took care of everything The room was quiet clean and comfortable

We loved the pool, hottub and puttinggreen The grounds were beautiful and serene We especially enjoyed sitting on the lanai and watching the birds and little lizards as we ate breakfast

Marissa Hapeman

The Pineapple Inn is simply the best place I’ve ever stayed The room (and entire property) was so clean, comfortable, relaxing, and inviting – and the beautiful location in Kihei goes without saying! The fridge stocked with local snacks was especially thoughtful and delicious as well Our only regret was that we didn’t stay there longer! If you’re on the fence about staying at the Pineapple Inn, DO IT! I can’t recommend it highly enough, and can’t wait to go back again someday

Lindsay Yellin

We adored Pineapple Inn The property is absolutely stunning and our individual room was spacious and comfortable With only 4 rooms you almost always feel as if you have the place to yourself

The Inn has a gorgeous pool and top-of-the-line hot tub Made for great evening swims under the stars after a full day exploring the island We thought the bed was very comfortable, the beach equipment you could borrow in great condition and the snacks/kitchen wear perfect for the few days we were there Lastly, the location was really nice Great proximity to Wailea beaches and restaurants and was on a really beautiful residential street There is a busy street behind the property, you do hear the cars but this didn’t bother us and was overshadowed by the incredible lush gardens and paradise atmosphere Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet and affordable Maui accommodation

Absolutely horrible place Go somewhere elseAs others have said, no staff on site after 5pm, which is annoying, but not even close to the reason this place is awful

Food? None Drinks? None Convenience store listed on their site? Nope, closed permanently Restaurant? Nope, closed permanently Ice machine, no vending machines, noThe nearest restaurant/food is over a mile away I had to go to Days Inn next door multiple times just to buy some waterOne of the elevators (of two) was under repair, so people frequently had to wait up to three full trips before they could ride it to their rooms (housekeeping would also use it with their carts, preventing many people from getting in the small elevator) Not sure what housekeeping was doing all the time though, since they only clean rooms every 3 daysOn our last day, they put a sign up in the lobby, announcing they were doing renovations on the room immediately above ours THAT DAY So my 1yo baby is woken up from their nap by the sounds of electric saws and grinding and hammering Not exactly a relaxing time

Brian Tutterow

We stayed in the hotel rooms Nice, relatively inexpensive rooms Clean, no frills and partial ocean views are fantastic from upper floors

Wind can howl a bit on 8th floor but dies down after dark Location is great with beaches to the south and a nature trail to the north Saw several turtles in the waters below the rooms and one on land along the trail

Kevin Ta

Friendly staff and security, plenty of parking and extremely close to the beach I sympathize with staff as they seem to be doing the best they can with limited staffingNoticed there was a bobby pin on our bed, cockroach by our sofa and a dirty comforter

Resort photos are not accurateLeft a voice message for new linens which have been unanswered Front desk closes at 5:30pm Resort falling short of what we expected for $700+ a night

What a wonderfully understated vacation condominium! After reading prior reviews I was concerned

But there was absolutely no need to be!! From the cleanliness, to the nicely kept grounds and amenities, everything was above what I was expecting We traded in a week from our timeshare for our 10 year anniversary I felt this resort was a nice in-between for us as a couple, and we would definitely bring our family back as well The location was phenomenal! We appreciated being pretty centrally located to most everything we wanted and needed

ralph holiman

We stayed here eight days for a wedding I don’t have any complaints about this place The grounds are immaculate and landscaped beautifully

(I would sit out on our deck drinking my coffee and watching them meticulously clean the grills out in the courtyard every morning, from the people who used them to grill the night before) We arrived at 11:30 at night and they had someone waiting there ready to go show us to our room The parking situation is great and you are really close to your rooms Lots of elevators to get to the upper floors My wife is handicapped and got around everywhere with no problems at all The only weird thing was all the air conditioners are on a 4-Hour timer so we would have to wake up in the middle of the night to cut them back on but that was really the only negative thing I can think to say about the entire resort during our stay there You are right on the ocean, and a beautiful beach There were sea turtles sleeping on the beach just a little ways away It will definitely be the place we go when we come back

Dawn Blanchette

Easy check in and strongly recommend going through the site rather than a third party site It will save you money!! Rooms are nice and the room I was in had everything I would need for the beach

Ice chest chairs, towels, even sand toys for the kids There is a ceiling fan and ac in both bedroom and livingroom but I feel if there were more than just myself staying an additional oscillating fan would be needed I could walk straight out to the beach from my room which was great to sneak out to watch the sunrise or sunset Overall i loved my room and my stay!! Strongly recommend!!!

This was a pretty good place to stay for our Maui vacation The room that we had wasn’t too special Much like a normal hotel room

We just had a sink, mini fridge, and microwave, but I know the suites had a full kitchen It was affordable and the grounds were really nice It’s also just across from the beach so we did plenty of walking there Really nice we didn’t have to drive to it all the time The pools are also nice, but nothing too special

Cocacola Bear12 (Gabriel agnew)

Outstanding location, everything is nearby and the beach is directly across the street Lots of food nearby, shops, desert’s, board and scuba rentals, everything you’d want The building is really nice, the open air is extremely cool

The hot tub and the pool are nice (especially at night) and you can meet a lot of cool people The hotel has absolute beautiful views and it was a really clean room All the normal things of a hotel room are there, just wish they had more beds of some sort AC works nice, there’s a TV and a PlayStation with it nice employees, a place to grill and barbecue, kitchen, and while this isn’t the fanciest hotel, this is Hawaii and you shouldn’t be here all the time It has everything you need and is pretty nice a 10/10 in my book, I could literally live in there

Cindy Best

Beautiful condo, well decorated and pretty well stocked We had to buy laundry soap for the washer, batteries for the air conditioner and no garbage bags were supplied either But there were so many other anemities that made up for all that

Our second time in Kihei, first at Maui banyan much better 😀 👍 Would stay here again definitely

My first impression as we walked in the door was of the condo being exceptionally sharp and clean We were very happy with everything about the condo, including the furnishings, kitchen items and appliances We loved the view from the lanai, overlooking the pool and a partial view of the ocean

It’s actually much more comfortable later in the day not facing directly west It was very comfortable sitting on the lanai for about the first half of the day The last half of the day the winds were quite strong, but they calmed some as the week went on (the weather was affected a bit by hurricane Darby when we were there) There are many amenities Also very important was the elevator, since we were on the 2nd floor We have stayed in many different condos in Hawaii, and have had to haul luggage up stairs about 70% of those stays

Jean Web

Had such a great time at Maui Schooner! We had the 2 bedroom suit It is big, well designed and well maintained Beds are Huge and very comfortable

The Balcony is the best part of the entire staying We ended up eating nearly all meals there It faces partially the Garden and partially the ocean The bird chirping in the morning and beautiful tropical garden were such a tranquil experience… the suit is well equipped with nearly everything a family with kids need, even beach towels and beach chairs… highly recommended…

Penny Fleming

I regard myself as spoiled I have never stayed in a “timeshare or condo” This place was really nice Wonderful pillows, soft sheets, and really nice towels

They provide beach chairs, coolers, and fluffy beach towels The plates and cooking utensils were nice and the knives were sharp We had a two-bedroom on the ground floor and we were able to walk out and take our Mai Tais and our meals and just walk to the beach and enjoy The kitchen was great to cook in Outdoor tables to watch the sunset Thank you for providing a great place to have a 10-day vacation at a very very reasonable price Loved the BBQs at the pool We never and I have to say, went out to dinner A few stops at the local grocery store and Costco and we were set for the entire stay Thank you and I hope to be back soon

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel They compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! You’re welcome :)! This place is one of my favorites in this area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you definitely won’t be disappointedWe had a fantastic time staying here and would definitely recommend it to others The staff was friendly, check-in/out was easy, the resort was extremely well kept, and the rooms were clean and modernLocation wise you can’t beat it for the price – you’re a few minutes to a grocery store, minutes away from a few dinner restaurants, and a 5-minute walk down to the water and beach boardwalkOne piece of constructive feedback would be to change up the breakfast options, cater better to vegetarian/plant-based diets, and serve fresh fruit, which is plentiful in Hawaii!

Solid hotel and no real complaints The Wailea area is very nice and convenient to travel around Maui The best part of the stay was the room as the 1 bedroom suite was spacious and felt like a true apartment

The breakfast was average at best with limited options but that may likely be due to COVID restrictions The staff was friendly and nice While the facilities and amenities are clearly below the 4 and 5 star hotels in the Wailea area, this is a good place to stay if you want to travel Maui and primarily use the hotel to sleep and recharge

A very popular hotel here in Wailea The rooms are spacious I like the concept as it comes with a full kitchen and you can save a lot of money between the complimentary breakfast each morning and buying your own food

They have grills available if you choose to use them The location is a little distant from the beach but makes up for it with a nice pool and a shuttle that will take you to the nearest beach I recommend this hotel

We had a great time 2 bed, 2 baths fit our needs just great The staff was helpful and prompt when needed

The pool was serviced daily and clean The ocean is across the busy street and better in the morning for a dip Afternoons it gets windy and more fierce The sandy beach is not wide and the surf encroaches quite high Isana restaurant on the property was great too It is north of the main business area of Kihei so you have to drive, sidewalks are here and there

I arrived at Maui Beach Vacation Club very late (10:30PM) Front office was closed An employee was waiting for me at the front office door and retrieved my keys from a safe

He guided me to my parking spot and my room He helped me carry my luggage But most surprisingly, he refused to take any gratuity! He said it is his job I was shocked to hear this in US, where every service in travel industry expects extra tip beyond advertised priceThe room is very clean and affordable They don’t charge exorbitant “cleaning fee” like many other condo rentals

Great spot in Kihei, comfortable, quaint, and provided everything we needed The recent renovation to the entire property really nailed it and made our stay stress-free The pool was beautiful and provided the necessary refresh from long days in the sun

No A/C in any rooms but we didn’t find it necessary with the ocean breeze and ceiling fans that kept things cool at night
