I cannot express enough how great my two years were at this park All the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and care about the well-being of their guests and their park The park was secure, clean, and organized and there were never any issue

They really take the time to get to know their guests and help them out when it’s needed

This is our First time traveling to Texas We are in the area because our daughter moved hereOn our way in on 191 we get into killeen and we are like what kind of park is here

Well let me tell you it is a great park The owners are super helpful and friendly the park is quite and gated The sites are concrete with plenty of room between spots One critique would be, It would be nice to have a Dog park area that is fencedHowever there is a really nice park out the back gate it is a great place to walk your dogs or let them play in the river I can’t say enough good things about this place

This campsite has been an excellent choice for our family of 6 We moved our camper here about 1 month before we moved into it No one messed with our stuff before we move in or after

The managers and staff are friendly and easy to talk with The kids enjoy riding bikes in the neighborhood with all the other kids or swimming in the pool Our fur baby gets to socialize with other dogs at the dog park The on site laundromat makes getting laundry done easy You can wash a load of clothes and lounge at the pool while they cycle throughThis location has had a positive impact on our experience RV living The community makes it feel homey

Joana Gonzalez

Been here since mid January and it’s been GREAT ever since A peaceful place to stay The managers JESSICA and HER HUSBAND are very sweet and friendly along with the staff

I love how a lot of neighbors are involved in the community, it makes you feel welcomed and at home! Would recommend staying here It has all the amenities you can think of!

The RV park is a work I’m progress Not a luxury rv resort as described but may be in 2-3 years Office, pool, showers and laundry facilities are brand new and very nice

Staff has been very friendly during all encounters There is currently not a fishing pond as described, corn hole games, dog washing area or grass at any sites The sites have dirt or mud depending on weather and there is no irrigationin plsce to grow grass The dog park is very overgrown with no grass to be seen Sites are small and some premium sites only have 1 parking space Premium may mean you get trees Hopefully in the future it will be as described on the website

The staff went above and beyond after the original hotel we wanted canceled our reservations for my birthday at the last minute We called the Inn on the creek and explained our dilemma and not only did they set us up with a beautiful private bungalow but gave us a little bottle of prosecco They were very good about communicating with us and gave a number to text if we needed anything

The breakfasts were amazing and delivered to our door We had several deer visit our backyard We are definitely looking forward to coming back If you go check out the restaurant Alexander’s Amazing food and wonderful service

Sid Frost

We’ve stayed here several times before and have always enjoyed it We missed the hot breakfast they served before Covid But even the cold breakfast was quite tasty as well as filling

Dinner at the Inn was excellent I had the lamb shank and my wife had the pork chops Mine came with mashed potatoes, carrots and zucchini The meat was so tender I didn’t need a knife The town is small We walked everywhere

Leah Brink

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this lovely inn!!! My fiancé and I, (who had come to Salado for a little overnight getaway in order to celebrate our engagement) had a terrible experience with another local inn We called the Inn on the Creek at Salado and they were able to book us in a gorgeous room in a quiet location at the last minute The room and grounds are BEAUTIFUL and peacful, and the staff was SO amazing and accommodating for our last minute booking

They not only made us feel very welcome, but also went out of their way to make sure what had begun as a not so great getaway turned out to be the lovely and romantic weekend we had hoped for!! Thanks so much Inn on the Creek!!! Your place is the ONLY place we will book on our future trips to Salado!!

My coworker and I stayed here for the night on the 14th of may 2022 everything about the hotel was great clean beds clean rooms good breakfast The reason I am only rating this as a two star rating is because my coworker ran into a problem with the lady who was working the night shift she wouldn’t believe him when he said he had a room already and she called the cops on him all because he’s black I found this very racist and very disrespectful he had even already been in the room I had thought very good of the place until this incident occurred but now… I will never stay at this hotel again I’m very disgusted with how this lady handled things and very disappointed in this company for allowing a woman like this to deal with customers on a daily bases

Let me preface this by saying I used to be the GM of a hotel group in Denver, CO myself There is no excuse for the way me and my coworkers were treated during our stayStaff was incredibly mean and dismissive

Only friendly faces were Hector and the cleaning ladies despite that they don’t tidy the rooms at all for entire staysDogs barking and shedding everywhere, as well as cigarette smell in the halls Washers and dryers were never working The GM is very rude I’m not sure how her staff can put up with her because she inserted herself several times as we were gathered in the common areas Seems she is always out for smoke breaks I never felt comfortable in the common areas in the mornings/mid-day when this GM was on shift The night staff was relatively friendly and accommodatingIt seems there is a superiority complex with the head lady and she needs to be checkedI don’t recommend staying here My room stunk like pipes and sewage for the two weeks we were here as well We gave this hotel a crazy amount of business, probably the most they’ve had all year yet we’re treated terribly There was religious racism involved for several coworkers and in 2022 this is unacceptable The Super 8 would’ve been a much nicer stay!

Leslie Lee

Well I really can’t review my stay because literally 10 minutes from pulling in to check into the hotel they called and said they were “over booked” and cancelled my reservation We had just driven 3 hours to get there and was driving to pull in the hotel when they let me know we had no room No explanation as to what happened or any prior notification so that I could plan something else for our stay

I have travelled lots of places for many years and NEVER had this happen before Best Western will never get my business And bless Courtyard by Marriott for stepping in and taking care of us

Evan Lueras

On behalf of myself and my family we are very disturbed with the experience we had at Best Western in Killeen I don’t ever take the time to write reviews but this was absolutely intolerable The people at the front desk told me “you complain too much” when I asked them for a new room key

The reason I needed a new room key was because the first one they gave me randomly stopped working On top of that, one of the younger hotel workers cat called my wife saying “Which room do you stay in I’ll be over there later” Unreal Not my fault for having an absolute dime of a wife who is the loving mother of my kids Show some respect Best Western will go out of business by the end of the year at this rate Never dealing with them or recommending them to anyone ever again Bye!!!!!

+ = impeccably clean room Older rooms so plenty of space Great water pressure, and hot water

Housekeeping took great care of the room every day – many hotels are foregoing this service Good breakfast Microwave, coffee and small fridge in room Good location for getting to/from Ft Hood Adequate work out room Adequate pool Great staff CLEAN hotel-= minuses, location (nothing within walking distance, fenced off from nearby hotels with sports bar) Older rooms, so in need of renovation, but not yet Older TVs, so not smart TVs, so can’t use your streaming accounts Internet adequate, but on the slow side Breakfast menu could use some healthy items – no fresh fruit availableSo for a business traveler, no real negatives to speak of

Stacey Mapp

I was very particular when searching for a hotel that didn’t allow pets, offered full breakfast that was reasonably priced and high stars – Fairfield, THANK YOU!! The service was AMAZING! My desk representative made my check in seamless after a 12hour drive and my arrival time was off by an hour Room was clean, bed soft, pillows fluffed, bathroom spotless (I was looking intentionally) This is the experience I was looking for

Fairfield thank you for your transparency on your website as your customers will receive what’s advertised

The room was clean But there was a little musty odor in the air It was 100 degrees our whole visit, and the ac struggled to keep the temperature in the low 70’s in our room

But, with a very low relative humidity It was comfortable The staff was very courteous to us, and helped with any questions or concerns we had I am in the middle of discussing some billing issues with Marriott, however, because our rate was $30 more per night than our rate shown on our reservation from a month ago And there was an unexplained random $80 charge on our final bill The breakfast is so so, but the mixed drinks at their bar are expensive and taste horrible Top shelf liquor mixed with old and generic mixers My margarita tasted like a dead mans foot smells Though the bartender was extremely nice

Tonya Henry

This location is easy to spot from Hwy 190/I-14 It sits adjacent to the Killeen Mall and in the same lot as Panera Bread The suites are kind of small in the living room so if you have more than two people in there, it will be tight for sitting room

The bedroom is a nice size though It is actually picturesque in the foyer The bar was not open The pool area is nice also There is a laundry facility and small gym area as well

Robbie Rodriguez (AR Autoworks)

Location is good Able to jump back on the highway to get goingThe little bistro inside is good for just kicking back after a day of traveling

This location does NOT have free breakfast

The staff from the front desk to house keeping are super nice Suites/rooms are roomy, stocked and clean If there is a issue they will work to resolve it

Location is great, easy access to highway, stores (HEB around the corner) as well as places to grab a bite to eatI have stayed at some of the places near here and it’s just not the same atmosphereI travel to Killeen once a month for work, and this is my preferred location

Jeff Gunter

Wow Where to start? I travel a lot for work and always stay at Marriott I’m Platinum Elite (not that status matters to Marriott), but I’d expect them to at least make an effort

This hotel was gross There were roaches in the room and in the breakfast area I asked for my room to be cleaned every other day and the front desk said they’d take care of it It wasn’t cleaned once in a 12 night stay I’d be hard pressed to find a hotel in America that cares less about it’s customers Stay somewhere else if you value cleanliness and comfort

Richard Montoya

If you’re deciding between TownPlace, Fairfield, or the Residence, do not hesitate on choosing the Residence Inn I have tried all three hotels (back-to-back) and the Residence is a significant upgrade – room, bed, and breakfastIn second place, Fairfield

Beds were “meh,” but the breakfast was very goodIn third place, TownPlace The bed was terrible It was thin and firm, to the point you can feel the pocketed coils If you sleep with a partner, you can expect to feel every movement they make Also, the A/C was loud and not very efficient(This same review will be posted on all three Marriott hotels)

As you’ll see in MANY reviews, the staff here are OUTSTANDING! If I was to run a hotel these are the people I would want to be running my daily operations They are kind, and eager to be helpful! The value here us great and the hot breakfast every morning is always nice to have The cinnamon rolls are too good yo pass up

Sure the elevator isn’t lightning fast but there’s only 3 floors so really it’s a moot point The outside pool area is such a fantastic place to hang out with your morning coffee or evening beer Downtown is just a 2 minute drive away and only a few minutes to any of the larger neighboring towns This central location is great for those wanting to explore different towns and activities Again the staff will be happy to tell you what’s going on in the area They truly are the reason this place is a 5 star!

De Mann

Wonderful experience! I stayed here for a month while working in town and it was such a pleasant time The GM Jessica was exemplary and her staff was attentive and kind Being as particular as I am, they served my request with professionalism and kindness

The rooms are spacious and clean It was a joy every morning or evening to greet them as I left/returned to/from work The complementary breakfast was good with some of the best coffee preparedThough there isn’t anything nearby within walking distance, one of the perks staying there is seeing the deer roam on the grounds in the early morning or at dusk Holiday Inn has up’d their game over the years and the Solado location and it’s staff represents the chain with quality service Thank you Jessica and the staff, the CL team will miss you

This place is what I assume Austin is was like before their big boom A really cool vibe in the rooms, pool and a nice bar by the pool Beautiful trees and landscaping

The pool was lovely and the area is super cute The staff seemed nice, but you could tell they were stressed and understaffed (very common right now) They say they can do breakfast but 1) it’s very limited with just tacos and basic coffee and 2) they said they’d take 1-15 hours to arrive, so I’d recommend a cute cafe nearby Dinner was nice though! Check in was at 3, but my room wasn’t ready until 3:30 (another sign they’re understaffed) Rooms were clean and had a very cool vibe Loved the patio I will definitely be back

Rachel Hanses

This place feels like a step back in time The pool is amazing, the rooms are adorable and the pool bar lounge area is brand new The new owners have done so many cool things

The negative reviews are knit picky of a small business doing their best The service, the amenities and the grounds are gorgeous We loved it so much that we’re pool members now

Denise Martin

This hotel is so unique, we wish we could have stayed longer The beds were super comfortable! The road noise was not bad at all (as we’ve read in other reviews regarding this property) We tried the restaurant, the food was delicious and the service was great

We can’t wait to go back to this property for a longer stay We give it a thumbs up
