Mark and Cameron (and Calvin) were wonderful hosts We were in the area to pick up a cabinet we purchased As we didn’t want to leave it in the car overnight, Mark offered to store it in the B&B and helped me move it

The house is beautiful (ask Mark about the mural) and the bed firm I can see why they receive consistent “5” ratings

John Carmack

I worked in the area for ~ 15 years and would be there for 2-4 nights per trip twice a month I would always stay at Estillville

Mark and Cameron are wonderful and kind hosts and always accommodating While I no longer work in the area, I remain in touch with them because they are such nice people If coming to the area for work or pleasure this is the place to stay

Sam Dilley

If you’re looking for a comfortable bed and breakfast with all the amenities but want the small town charm, look no further! Mark, Cameron, and their son are truly lovely and so accommodating The breakfasts each morning were phenomenal and were paired with fun conversations to start the day If we needed anything, they were just a message away

The location is 15-20 minutes from many major cities and outdoor activities, it’s in just the right spot The bed and breakfast itself is decorated with neat antiques but don’t let that fool you- it has all the modern amenities you want such as wifi and Netflix It was the perfect getaway from home while still feeling at home! If you’re ever in the area, make sure you stay at the Estillville Bed & Breakfast!

Here for a softball tournament The hotel was the host hotel but they were not very host like Broken elevator, out of towels at the pool, add a $250 fee if your kids our load during quiet time

Parking lot wasn’t the best The in house restaurant was understaffed and not many options Wayne the bar tender was amazing nice and polite Needed help running the restaurant and bar The lady running breakfast buffet came in on her day off was amazing also she had to cook and stock the buffet on top of cleaning the tables The hotel really drop the ball on this However they had so many front desk people maybe one or two of them could of help out in the restaurant or at least kept up with the towel and house keeping Our room never seen a house keeper we was in it for almost a week Trash was over filling so we went got a large bag to dump the trash in The room need so serious cleaning Found broken glass and other trash beside the bed and under the chair cushion The bed wasn’t level or very comfortable The remote work half the time The bathroom paint was cracking and falling down The bathroom was designed for kids not adults The counter was at way below waist and the toilet felt like you where sitting on the floor I’m 5ft10 so I felt like a giant in there The room doors don’t close alway until you pull them shut and check to make sure they close The little market they had on site was low or out of stuff

Autumn S

The entryway was very nice and the staff seemed friendly The parking lot was a little weird and seemed small for how large the place was The rooms were not as nice and the entrance and “garden view” apparently just means access to the pool

It would be convenient had I brought my bathing suit, but few plants were in sightWent to check out breakfast but it was going to be like $12 for a standard buffet unless you pre-purchased meal tickets with your stay (which wasn’t offered when I booked) so we decided to eat elsewhere Stay wasn’t bad but I think we’ll stay at the Holiday Inn Express like we usually do next time, at least we always know exactly what to expect like breakfast

Lorie Young

We stayed here for 4 very long days and I would not recommend this place to anyoneDo not let the lobby deceive you It is beautiful, updated, and very clean but that is not the case for the rest of the hotel

There are two elevators in the hotel and only one worked the whole time we were there The buttons inside and outside the elevator were filthy, the hand sanitizer stations near the elevators were empty for all 4 days, we couldn’t tell what was on the floor… was it pizza sauce or blood? And the one working elevator, was very slowThe room we were given was right next to the elevators All night long, we heard the elevator going up and down, stopping at each floor and would bang really loud every time it would stopThe rooms have not been updated The bed was uncomfortable There was mold in the shower, and the bathroom sink didn’t drain It’s like everything was designed for shorter people If you over 5’5” good luckAnd finally, there is a restaurant in the hotel but it is only open during breakfast and dinner, and that is if the cook shows up The breakfast is not free, you actually need to add that to your reservation if you want it included Spend your hard earned money at a different establishment

The campus itself is beautiful Obviously well maintained and, given the traffic, people clearly enjoy it The public areas were beautiful – lobby and pool were fantastic

We very much enjoyed the pool and hot tub The bar had great ambiance However, our room left much to be desired It was so small and very outdated Super tiny Wouldn’t recommend if traveling with children The linen on our bed had extreme pilling, which I found to be tacky for this type of accommodations The room was very dark, also adding to the sense of being outdated The staff was not particularly friendly or welcoming, which is never great Glad we gave it a shot, but we won’t be returning

Russell Miles

Very much enjoyed courtyard and bar/grill We are local so did not have a room Drank and ate in courtyard by the bar/grill

Main restaurant was closed on a Sunday so it was very quiet and peaceful Bar opened at 4 and food available at 5 Had a couple good craft draft beers from bar Wife had a local Gypsy Circus cider which she loves Shrimp and Grits was good Wife’s BLT probably best we’ve ever had Service at the bar was excellent A bit more expensive than usual haunts but was well worth it for good food and drink in the comfortable, peaceful courtyard Will make this a regular after hiking Bays Mountain, etc

William Heath

It’s very expensive and they charge for wifi and breakfast And the a/c barely worked in my room Not worth it for what you have to pay

I’ve stayed in nicer hotels that are cheaper for the money The Hampton inn in Johnson city was a lot cheaper and the rooms were way nicer and they even had a nice couch to sit on almost like a den area and nicer bathrooms And they offered a breakfast that was complimentary It wasn’t greatest breakfast ever But they offered a decent variety

The staff at the office was so great at check in I booked this room after I went to a hotel down the road that was absolutely disgusting I told the front desk about my experience and he ensured that I was in a clean room

The fact he went out of the way to personally check for me (the cleanliness of the room) is a sign of honesty and a good hotel I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Bristol for a few nights Great service and great people here

Steve Caswell

My wife and I have stayed here more than once when we are in that area We may have to go out that way one more time and more than likely will choose this place to stay for a night There were two full size beds in the rooms but we would really prefer one king size bed

They are a nice motel but they are not five star I will say the beds are very comfortable and I had a good night sleep there

Jose Ortega

The staff was super friendly and so check in was quick The room was clean and overall the whole place was quiet It seems that Red Roof INN places are hit and miss but this one was hit all the way

parking was pretty easy to get There is a lot pf places near by to get something to eat which is always great After being on the road all day, this was just what I needed

Still not fully servicing rooms, no matter how long you stay Requested service halfway through our stay and was told they couldn’t Room wasn’t cheap, but “hot breakfast” was honestly a joke- packaged breakfast sandwiches and packaged waffles

The bananas were as green as a bell pepper Housekeeping couldn’t even be bothered to run a vacuum or make a bed Insane that the price increases, as the level of service decreases; we didn’t get the services that are normally included, but didn’t get a discount on the price, either Bathroom floor tiles weren’t sealed properly and rocked when you walked on them, grout pieces came out throughout our stay, but we had to live with it because we couldn’t get our room serviced Even the towels that were replaced (after we put the used towels out in the hall) weren’t replaced properly; wrong # of washcloths, no bath mat, no hand towels Indoor pool is tiny and COLD Definitely not up to Marriott standards Christina, who checked us in was extremely helpful, though

BE AWARE! DO NOT LEAVE ANY PERSONAL ITEMS!!!! I stayed here about 1 month ago for my birthday The bathroom was dirty and had hair all over the floor After checking out I realized I left my shirt and charger in the room

My husband called and asked if anyone turned in my items to lost and found and the front desk rep advised my husband that she located my shirt and charger in the lost and found She said she would mail it to our residence in North Carolina It’s been almost 1 month and I still haven’t received my items I have been calling the hotel multiple times a week for the past 2 weeks trying to figure out what happened to my items and always getting the runaround, they will lookinto it and call me back I have requested to speak with a manager multiple times and have never been successful with speaking to one One of the front desk representative’s, Casey, has been extremely rude and has the worst customer service I have experienced at a Hilton hotel!! She refused to transfer me to a manager multiple times and even lied saying she was the manager She never attempted to help me figure out what happened to my items and had a horrible attitude She hung up the phone on me several times and refused to let me know what hours the manages work so I can call during that time None of this makes any sense and all I wanted was to get an explanation about what happened to my items No tracking number was provided and nobody calls me back to give me an answer!! I can’t help but to think someone stole there stole my items and that’s why they wont let me speak to a manger to get answers! Please BE CAREFUL staying at this hotel WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I didn’t expect this from a Hilton hotel!

Heard about this hotel from a girl that swore up and down they had an AMAZING breakfast with this biscuit covered in all that is holy down south Now that I went to see for myself, I swear I would hire that breakfast staff full time if I won the lotto tomorrow 😍 We stopped in Johnson City on a very long road trip and everything about the stay was great Brand new hotel, great friendly staff, and unlike other hotels that hand you an apple and granola bar, they have something home cooked for breakfast along with all the regular staples

We were very happy with the stay

Ajimon Thomas

One of the most nicest hotels Ive stayed at in a while No complaints at all We stayed there for 1 night only

Plenty of parking Our room was super big for some reason, we might have booked an accessible one by mistake Nevertheless, it had a king bed and also a pull out couch Very spacious The first thing you see when you enter your room is a welcome sign with your name on, as the tv wallpaper The room also came with utensils and other stuff, more than you will need The bathroom was neat and thr shower pressure was so good The breakfast opens at 7 am and it was really nice So many options to eat and drink The hotel also has a pool and gym although we never used it We also got some cute tips from the reception and the staff was really helpful Definitely going back to this place if we ever get a chance

First time staying here At check in Jeff was very nice and friendly Fast check in and he explained everything and the fees they hold at check in and I got them back one day after checkout

They do serve a breakfast here but we didn’t get up in time for it The hotel was very clean and the rooms are nice The indoor pool was nice and heated Great location with great views right off of I-26 with stores and restaurants close by

Kendra Bryan

Edit: after letting the front desk know about the AC not working in our room, they apologized and said that there are no batteries for the thermostat They aren’t sure why it would say low battery when it’s hardwired into the wall with full electricity, and that was after I showed her the video of what it saidShe said she would put in a work order

No compensation or incentive for the 2 nights of sleeping in 75+ temps She was nice tho and did say sorry

Zadi Sunset

If you are not more than 50 miles away from this hotel company policy denies you a room Company policy says to not give rooms to locals This is a lie because I’ve stayed at a comfort inn in Jonesboro TN and I live in Johnson City

If you are trying to get away from home for the night and don’t live 50 plus miles away do not try and stay here Otherwise you are just wasting your time and gas

We stayed here while doing training for a job We loved it We had a room with two queen size beds

The beds were very comfortable, but small to me There was a small size refrigerator with a mini size freezer compartment It is sufficient enough, but if you’re going to be staying a while you may have to get things to eat every few days Of course there is a microwave that you can utilize for warming food or whatever you may need it for The bathroom and shower were very clean and stocked, but if you need anything that you don’t have you can go to the front desk and ask for a complimentary item Overall our stay was very pleasant and the breakfast was beyond awesome Their breakfast actually had hot and cold dishes as well as the normal which includes cereals, waffles, muffins, breads, several kinds of milk, yogurt, etc If you’re not interested in their options, there are several other restaurants in the vicinity If you’re looking for comfort at a home away from home this location should be your go to We enjoyed our stay here We hope that you can as well
