My wife and I stayed here for a single night after a music festival at the Rose Bowl (maybe a 15min drive from there) This place seems to be an older hotel that’s been recently renovated Bed/room was very clean

Only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars was there was some food and a couple of beers still in the fridge from the last guests and there was a strong scented air cleaner or aerosol Customer service was great Our keys failed to work to get into the room, it was 11:30pm, and the front desk assistant personally walked to the 3rd floor to confirm, and she opened up the room for us with the actual door lock keys Everything in the room seemed to be new The bed was sooooo comfortable and had plenty of pillows My wife says “Honestly, it was the best and most comfortable bed at a hotel stay anywhere!” Room has a Keurig machine with a couple of caffeine and decaf pods with some liquid creamer and non-dairy creamer, sugar, etc I recommend this place, and I’ll definitely stay there again next time I’m in the area

The staff was very friendly and welcoming Timothy, the concierge, was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the building’s history The room was very clean and spacious

It offered a full kitchen with all the necessary pots, pans and utensils to cook meals, should you desire to do so I am 6’2″ so I was very pleased with the king sized bed The the bathroom was clean and offered a rain shower head, which not only uses less water than a conventional, it feels great Despite the building being renovated it was still very welcoming It is a great value for the asking rate I will be coming back to stay here again

Brandy McMahan

I had a fantastic stay at the Canterbury Suites Timothy, at the front desk, was such a great host He told me all about the colorful history of the hotel and the neighborhood around it

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Timothy; he was gracious, friendly, and really just made you feel like a friend It’s been a while since I have been to Hollywood so I was worried about not knowing exactly where the hotel was located in accordance to all the tourist stuff; and I could not have been happier It was literally smack dab in the middle of everything I was able to walk almost everywhere; and if it was a little longer than I felt like walking the metro rail was a few blocks away for easy travel The room I stayed in was huge It was clean and decorated with cute little details that made it feel like old Hollywood I will 100% be coming back and staying here again I also can’t wait to check out their Venice beach location!!!

Ross Sorenson

Overall I can say that I liked this place I get the impression that it used to be an apartment building and has been renovated into a hotel, but in an interesting way The rooms are quite spacious, with floor plans that are unconventional

The beds are nice, large, comfy with more fluffy pillows than you would ever need The furniture is also nice and new Bathroom is stocked with shower and bath products that you want to take home with you Plenty of hand towels, wash clothes and bath towels are already provided when you check in Every room has a kitchen, mine had a full kitchen, not a kitchenette, a full freaking kitchen which I did not useThe stairway and halls leading to the rooms is dark and possibly still the original wood Soundproofing hasn’t been a part of the renovation, but it is forgivableThe rooms are seriously nice When you walk from the dark hallway into the room you’ve rented it is like you have passed through to another dimension There is an obvious investment of thought and design that has been put into the look and feel of the roomsThere is a gate code which you can use to gain access to the common areas so if you have guests you can give them the code and your room number and they can find their way to your roomThis place is unique and pretty awesome I will visit again

Stayed here for a weekend The price for the rooms are great! (Especially with all this inflation, it was hard to find something affordable) The rooms were clean and the office people were polite

There’s also a lot of food and stores near by The area was safe and I didn’t have to worry about my car at night I’d definitely stay here again

Martha Gnaedinger

Last March 2022 was our second time we stayed in this hotel The first time we had a wonderful experience The room was clean and nice, we like the parking situation, room service excellent, the manager was very kind

We decided to comeback and stayed 5 days and it was totally different The room carpet was filthy, and the room looks beat up, the manager or whoever was in the front desk was a very nasty guy He had the guts to yelled me after I requested a clean towels because we stayed in the room one day and missed the room service And we also witnessed the he did started yelling the next day another people who were eating in the parking lot without the guys doing anything wrong I personally talked to the wife and told her the situation and she just smiled and kindly brought us the towels We will think twice to comeback to this place in te future

We stayed here for 5 days and did not have one complaint about the place! It’s a small spot nestled between the mountains in Glendale, and super close to the freeway so very convenient A safe place for family, safe to walk as well The rooms modern and clean

👌🏼 Amazing people in the office, and very helpful and accommodating We will be back when we visit LA! ♥️

I Martinez

I would like to recommend this motel to anyone looking for a place to stay around the area They were incredibly accommodating and friendly! The room was clean and comfy, no complaints about anything about the room Everything in the room worked great and had no problems

It was spacious and exactly what we needed We were there for a weekend getaway and spent it feeling like we made a great choice in staying here The price was very reasonable and the fact that it had a gated parking area for the guests was a plus Would very likely stay here again if we come back to the area

The rooms were large and cleanOur room on the top floor, had a small fridge and microwaveThe bed was comfortable and everything look clean, even after checking closelyOur room was quiet from road and other guest even though we faced the streetOur room even had a small balcony, while no chairs to sit on, it was nice in May to open, turn off the A/C and let the fresh cool afternoon/evening air inThey did have free personal items downstairs if need at the front desk (Razors and such)The pool was clean and cold, not heated, but that didn’t bother usThe breakfast is the normal items you’d see at any motel nowadaysOverall al great place to stay

We loved this hotel! The staff was very welcoming and friendly The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable! We didn’t hear any noise from outside or in the hallway, so it was very peaceful Parking in their garage was $24, but it was well worth it for us in order to have peace of mind that our car would be safe

They took that $24 off of the $50 security deposit, which made things much easier We were refunded the rest of that security deposit within 24 hours of checkout They also have a gift shop in the lobby that stays open pretty late (10:30/11pm depending on the night) with food and other important things that you may have forgotten! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Jennifer Noel

This hotel was clean and the staff/service was excellent Our entire stay was pleasant because the staff at this Hilton was so kind and accommodating They anticipated our needs and made us feel at home

We never had to ask for anything because they were already there to help us The hotel itself is close to restaurants and the nearby mall Self-parking is easy but the valet staff is kind and courteous as well The breakfast buffet our group was offered was consistently fresh and well stocked; unlike your typical continental stale pastries other hotels pass off as a “buffet” If you stay there, know you can count on Javier for anything you might need He’s a very kind, polite person who takes great pride in his work He was the Hilton employee who really made our stay enjoyable and comfortable and not just “another room at any ordinary hotel” We would stay there again because of how welcome he made us feel

Eduardo Tello

It’s a Hilton, but a very old one Staff was great, default for HiltonRoom was old, no shower just a bathtub, and it was super dark

The windows are floor to ceiling and opens like a balcony door, but it has no balcony So be careful because someone can open it and fall from the building It was bizarre to see that But the views were amazingParking is also a bit expensive at $24, but California parking is crazy nowadaysI’d prefer to stay at the Woodland Hills location next times – which is renovated

I don’t normally review anything, but I have to say that I stayed here a year ago and it was great—great service, clean I just went in today and it was so dirty/sketchy, I almost immediately cancelled my reservation There were drops of dried blood in the elevator, there were crumbs on the counter, scuffed floors and walls, and strong smells everywhere

I’m pretty sure that the state is funding low-income housing here It’s super sad It used to be really nice

Captain Jason Lilley

I have no idea how there are 5 stars for this place First off, I booked a week in advance I came to this location since my father was staying here

He got there a few days before me and said to cancel my reservation as this place was unacceptable to him and he moved hotels the next day When I called to cancel a few days prior to coming, they said I I could not cancel since I did an advance reservation When I got there, the place had a weird smell to it The room had no curtain or doors on the closet, just an open track where the doors used to be Found a long black hair in the shower, and not mine The room felt dirty and smelly, with dents in the fridge, cabinets look like they had water damage, and appeared run down for the price you pay here And NO ice machine? I ended up staying on the uncomfortable pull out sofa bed at my fathers hotel and just used the room to shower and shave in the morning Dingy AF!

Adriana Rebold

First, the staff was very friendly and helpful The location is very convenient However, the price of the hotel is very high for what you get,

$36500 per two nights is excessive for what you get A closet that has curtains instead of doors, very old furniture and dark carpets, vanity that is so old is chipping away, shower head that barely works, one little bottle of shapoo, appliances that are all dent and scratch Very disappointed!

my man and me JUST LOVE to get rooms here because we always get the same 1 & it costs us no more then $68 – $70 these owners are very picky about how many people and who will be occupying their room while its being rented out for the day/ night check in is at 3pm & check our is at 11am on the nose! trust, they will be knocking at the door, guaranteed! anyways, i always clean the shower myself because once I saw old soap left in the soap dish thats cemented to the wall

i REALLY LOST IT OVER THAT & AM GLAD I FOUND THAT LIKE THAT BECAUSE I HAVE gained a MAJOR germophic awareness & HABIT OF SANITIZING EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM / BATHROOMEVEN THE DOOR KNOBS WITH 75% ALCOHOL WIPES/AS WELL AS THE REMOTESESP SINCE COVID 19 IS GOING AROUNDI ALSO GAINED AN AWARENESS about how unsanitary that was & basically caught on to how the maid just doesn’t care to clean or SANITIZE properly during covid 19 times ESPECIALLYBUT WHAT do you expect for paying the low price here, if thwir isnt roaches then it’s a lazy maid that keeps the price so low! I wish she did her job properly & correctly & most of all EFFICIENTLY so i wouldn’t have to go around sanitizing everything like a nut when i rent herebut oh well that’s pretty much all i got to say about the islander motel in eagle rock! I love the city of eagle rock, by the way& oh yes, one more thing, these owners will NEVER allow anyone to remain in the room without checking out! thats just the way they run their motel business hereNOBODY stays EVER-EVER-EVER ! the place is clear of all guests between 11am – 3pm , everyday! thsy are also pretty nice people once they get to know youALSO, my man constantly has to put batteries in the tv remote, but not the cable box remotei was mad one time when we asked them a second time for batteries because they were dead twice for us & was only GRANTED new triple as one time then told no the second time it happened That was entirely wrongbut that’s what $70 dollar service is to be expected, i have caught on since i motel hop a lotbut choose to stay here because it’s not roach infested, the sheets are clean & the price is right~☆~AUDREY LYNN FEE~♡~

I absolutely love this little motel came to LA for a weekend visit and these accommodations were just what we needed We had to extend our stay an extra day and the staff was very accommodating and were able to do so

Nice rooms, clean beds great location and love that its only a few rooms so parking was no issue Will definitely re visit on our next trip

Awful experience There are smoking rooms and non smoking rooms Was given a smoking room

The smell, the touch, and the look was disgusting You truly do get what you paid for – $65 The only bright side was free parking but the moment I walked in the room I wanted to leave immediately The staff was nice but the room made it a terrible experience

Me and my wife decided to stay here for our business trip last minute Overall it was a very clean hotel and dog friendly (as we needed) The room was clean upon arrival

no complaints there However no parking we had to valet $22 a day I believe I wouldn’t say that was the bad part as can be expected in LA honestly The noise each night constantly hearing people running around on the top floors doors slamming we honestly wouldn’t have cared had it been decent timing but this went on at late hours of the night after 1am even so that was very unfortunate Either the walls are super thin or just loud people staying there with no common courtesy Whatever the case was it wasn’t pleasant waking up to some lovers being noisy at 8am I was very disappointed We tried to extend our check out time the night before and were told to call the next morning the day of check out That was something that bothered me but I guess that didn’t matter with the wake up call we got for whatever neighbor that got busy that morning Anyway just something to keep in mind when visiting this hotel We also heard the cleaning lady being yelled at for trying to do her job she was so nice so I didn’t think that was necessary maybe just rude people the weekend we were there Me and my wife just didn’t expect all that for what we paid for Maybe the people maybe the area this might be helpful or also give people some insight on having hotel manners

Kyle Witt

Highly recommend this hotel Our family of 5 arrived in Burbank about this 10 pm after a 9 hour travel day Shuttle bus arrived at the airport within 10 min of our call and driver was friendly and courteous

Room was clean, hotel was quiet, and the sofa bed was already made (and pretty comfortable for a sofa bed) No frills but a very cool peasant stay for our family!

Vincent Chiaro

Have stayed at Hampton Inns very frequently, in fact it’s my go-to favorite hotel chain This one missed the mark though Overall the hotel is nice, clean, good breakfast, and nicely designed but a few things were not great:1 – All the 2 queen bed rooms are facing the freeway side of the hotel (or so I’m told when we asked to change)

There is a lot of freeway noise2 – Valet only parking and $20/night parking fee3 – Our room only had 1 partial roll of toilet paper and no “do not disturb sign” Housekeeping tried to enter our room at 9am on the day we were scheduled to check out (at 11am)The location was pretty convenient for going to Universal Studios Breakfast was good as usual, but the freeway noise cost us a decent night’s sleep

There is a $20 fee to park inside which no one in the reviews I read mentioned The elevator does look a little old as well as the hallways but the room was very spacious and bed was comfortable Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept in

AC works great, there’s a fridge that was a little dirty which I didn’t use so it didn’t matter to me Room also had an iron & ironing board, & a microwave! Area was nice and quiet Definitely enjoyed the stay here & would stay again if needed

This “lodge” wants to be a 5 star super high end hotel and the details show it The rooms are impeccably clean and well designed The desk is very friendly

I needed a place to stay close to the rose bowl and I didn’t have high expectations except they already had good reviews I was impressed with the pride of ownership this place has

Glendale hotel was a pleasant experience and the quality of service and rooms was great for the price The staff was exceptional, especially Lola She was very polite, professional and helpful

We arrived earlier than our check in time and we where very exhausted She offered to call us if they can get the rooms cleaned early so we can shower and rest about an hour later she called and updated that our rooms were ready The only complaints I have is that the pillows are not that comfortable and the water pressure is low which makes a shower feel incomplete Overall a great experience and would recommend to others

The hotel is very cozy There’s parking available The man in the office was very helpful and so happy to greet us

He even recommended a few places to visit while our stay with them He was available in case of anything Excellent customer service Now the place itself is very comfy The bed sheets were clean and were not dirty or stained The room has a mini fridge and a microwave that works perfectly The TV has many channels that work so we had many options The restroom was very clean and had hot water making showers very relaxing Now for the location, very good there’s a Ralph’s less than a minute away The gas station was right around the corner There’s fast food restaurants around and food trucks in front of Ralph’s Overall, I was very happy and satisfied with my stay, everything was excellent here

Jovannie

Nice little place to stay for a couple nights Had available Parking (huge plus) included in my stay Room was clean and had everything we needed working

Fridge, Microwave, AC, Shower, and the Ice Machine outside was also working The rooms are not big rooms but if your not planning on staying inside all day you should be fine Plenty of stores including a Ralphs Grocery store right across the street, two gas stations as well as bust stops within walking distance Their is also a park (Carr Park) and Shopping mall (Eagle Rock Plaza) close by Having the Glendale Fwy close by made getting around to destinations easier Would be staying their again when the time comes

Alberto G.

The Glenridge Inn is typical motel, family run , well maintained, very clean and comfortable We have been there four days and are very satisfied Beds are comfortable with a size adequate for two people, space in the room was enough for three people without stepping on each other’s toes

Three is no noise from the street, but if you are on the ground floor you may hear noise from the room above you The room has a microwave, a larger fridge than average for hotels, ironing board and iron There is ample parking in the motel lot, we never had a problem finding a spot, even if the venue was full The location is perfect, very close to freeway 134 and 2, 5 minutes from Pasadena and twenty minutes from downtown LA There is always somebody available at the reception and the location is video surveiled, we had a feeling of being safe The owner is very friendly and helpful We will certainly go back and I definitely recommend it

Great location, decent underground parking Staff was nice and pleasant Room was clean but it didn’t have USB connections to fixtures(lamps) like I am use to at other Hilton locations

Good variety of food just a quick drive or walk away Room service wasn’t availableone person at desk said only lunch and dinner then when I tried to order, they said it wasn’t available Breakfast wasn’t cheap and not worth the cost Better off eating somewhere else nearby I would stay there again for business trips but I might look around for another place for family trips

The room type was incorrect even after confirming the correct type of room twice with the front desk prior to our arrival The room was not what I reserved After I entered the room and discovered the wrong type, I called the front desk, and was advised: “Oh we ran out of those rooms, we have two weddings this weekend

“The bathtub was stopped/plugged/not draining resulting in us showering in high ankle-deep water Disgusting! Reported it immediately the first morning and the engineer that was supposed to come to fix it never didHad to call to request toilet paper as there is no daily cleaning service and there was no additional toilet paper left in bathroomWastebaskets not emptied as requestedRequested a manager call me and this person did notThis was a totally unacceptable experience from a Hilton facility and not of the quality typical for Hilton hotels The only reason I gave 2 points was due to the housekeeping staff that delivered towels and also for “Phillip” at front desk who tried to rectify the tub problem but by then we were checking out Their customer service was 5-star

Nice clean hotel with friendly staffwe stayed for two nights and three days

after checking in we realized our tv in the room didn’t work so we notified the front desk, we were quickly given a different room with a working tv We brought our dog with us on this trip and had plenty of space in the room to accommodate all of us Located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of shop and dining options Door Dash had no problems delivering to the hotel

Incredibly friendly staff, from check in to housekeeping to the shuttle drivers – they were all exceptional Rooms were clean and everything we needed for our 3 night stay Location was perfect for what we wanted to do

It’s worth repeating that the customer service was some of the best we have encountered If you have the chance to eat at Olives Bistro (right next to the hotel) definitely give it a shot – you will not be disappointed The food was incredible Thank you for a great stay!

Our family stayed here on a road trip along the Cali coast, we visited from Colorado We loved our two days and nights at Safari Inn Truly comfortable beds, clean rooms, tiny fridges available, good coffee supplied in the room, very fun pool, a small fitness room with weights and treadmill, laundry room, and free shuttle to and from Universal Studios

Staff was helpful and friendly It is walking distance from some good Thai food, Mexican food, and Starbucks Not too busy and loud of an area however! They add $200 to your initial charge to use at their restaurant but whatever you don’t use falls of at the end We never ate at the bistro, so no reports on how good that is

A trip to the Safari Inn was a great recommendation! The location is perfect, safe down from the studios in Burbank, and clean! As two young women in our 20s we felt that the Safari Inn was perfect! The staff is the kindest hotel staff I have ever had encounters with, and are readily available by call or at the desk The rooms are WAY bigger then expected and are clean! Floors, mirrors, shower, bed, dressers

you name it, it is CLEAN! They have rooms with a full kitchen, yes FULL kitchen The pool and deck area are also great extras to have fun at and enjoy a phone call or some breakfast The parking lot is a tight fit, but it is free to park At checkout they did NOT nickel-and-dime us with incidentals, very honest hotel Right around the corner is a walkable CVS for any missing items forgotten I would recommend this place 100 times!

The people are very nice and friendly On Tuesday there was a mad rush at the breakfast bar, and the GM of the hotel was found cleaning tables and chipping in however he could It was beautiful to see the staff still smiling and being courteous and the guests were also very appreciative of that

Breakfast bar was really good My family kids loved the pastries and omelette!Rooms were really spacious! The couch and work desk with TV was in one room and the other room has the beds and TV So it was perfect when we had to send the kids early to bed and we could hang out on the couch My husband could also work at the desk in the other room peacefully!Pool was good Warm enoughOverall a very pleasant experience and cannot wait to go back !

The staff were super friendly! They called a couple days in advance to give me an option for a room (mountain view vs atrium) I called back and requested a King with a mountain view, which they then upgraded me

Exceptional service like their staff gave before (wow!) and during our stay is a reason why I love being a Hilton member This was my first time staying at an Embassy Suites, and will totally stay here again Highlights: Easy check in, friendly and helpful front desk staff, on-site parking, hot breakfast in the morning (the omelets looked good, but the wait was way too long so we passed), lots of coffee downstairs in the morning (and alternative milks), clean room, close to Pasadena, Burbank airport, and Hollywood; and easy peasy check out Minor things: The underground parking structure is narrow and slightly confusing, and our room could use a fresh coat of paint (we thought the ceiling had a bug, but it was a black line from a marker?) Overall, a solid hotel 100% would stay here again

I understand that there’s a pandemic going on, and that the hospitality industry is suffering from a lack of hiring new employees However, I feel that if these major corporations would step up and do the right thing, and pay the money, a living wage that the employees deserve, there wouldn’t be such a lack of employees in the hotel industry Having said that, this hotel although the rooms are nice and large, the hotel was dirty! And during a time of a pandemic when you’re concerned about germs, it is disturbing to see just how dirty the windows, the glass doors, the elevators, and the buttons, the walls etc

are just full of handprints and fingerprints it’s just filthy! When we arrived at this hotel to check in we received the key to the room, went up to the room and it was dirty, had not been cleaned from the previous guest that had stayed there Went back downstairs to the front desk, told the front desk employee, who said that they would contact housekeeping Upon contacting housekeeping they told us we would have to wait for a clean room because they were short staffed in housekeeping We waited The room appeared to be clean And I did enjoy the layout of the room But the hotel overall in the common areas as previously stated, was just absolutely dirty It is very disappointing that the hotels will not step up and pay the employees a living wage so that they can take care of themselves and their families Parking is conveniently located underground at the hotel, and that was a positive experience The breakfast in the morning that they offer as a free buffet breakfast, was limited, but good CAB
