My 2 friends and I were visiting Lake Geneva for a girls weekend getaway We were looking for an affordable option right outside of the tourist area, but we are extremely particular about hotels We decided to go with this hotel based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! Very modern hotel, everything was very neat, clean, and well maintained, and the rooms were very clean and spacious! Free hot continental breakfast is served every morning hot and fresh! No complaints at all about the friendly staff

We noticed Travis, one of the hotel staff members who worked the morning shift during our stay, in particular We were impressed attentive and hospitable he was, he went above and beyond each day to make sure that everything in the cafe/diner area was always hot and fresh and replenished as needed and that the area, including the tables, were always clean! We will be coming back and recommending to family and friends!

Very convenient location for Belfey Theater and Dancing Horses Theater Room was clean Breakfast was fantastic

The only reason for the 4 stars was because we could not connect to our Amazon Prime account to watch a movie We had stayed at the Holiday Inn in Milwaukee the night before and there was an option and were clear, easy to follow directions for this right on the screen We called the front desk and they were not sure if there was an option to do this with our phone as the one in Milwaukee had I suggest you call them and offer this option for your guests Other than that it was a nice stay Also wish you had a hot tub!

Chris Parent

After a terrible experience at a place, (Comfort Inn) It was like night and day The Holiday Inn Express in Elkhorn Wisconsin saved the trip! Across the board AMAZING! From the room to the Staff, nothing but praise, especially to Jamie, Who We booked Our stay with at the front desk

Thanks for all Your help and We would recommend this one to Anyone Who is visiting Geneva Lake for Their Vacation stay 😊

What a delightful resort!! The condo room my sister, niece and I shared for the weekend was homey and very comfortable The bed was so comfortable and had soft, warm bedding We enjoyed the pool and hot tub

It was very conveniently located There are some great restaurants close by and it is maybe 15 min from Lake GenevaIt was so pleasant to have a private patio to ourselves! The only complaints we could find were that the parking lot is rather small so it is very hard to find a parking spot, even though we had a handicapped placard Also, my sister was unimpressed by the coffee available for the roomsBut the staff were great! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful The facilities are great and we will definitely be back!!

Amanda Ryman

We had a magical time at the resort! Our condo was adorably decorated, the staff was so friendly, the location was good, and the lake was beautiful The pools (both indoor and outdoor) were perfect for our family I highly recommend this resort

The value was great and it was so nice to have a kitchen and living room to spread out while we were visiting our favorite lake area

Michael Stephanidis

We had a very nice stay here Rooms were good size with a full fridge and griddle Plates and silverware were lacking

We had room on the far side from the lake, but balcony was nice Great view from the outdoor pool There is Cornhole outside near the water also Indoor pool and spa are nice to have for a rainy day Arcade needs to be updated

Cheap Family friendly Our room needed the vents in the air conditioner cleaned in order to get it cold in there

Only two of the 5 or 6 lights worked The shelving next to the beds were very dusty, but otherwise the room was very clean The room always seemed damp – our wet suits and towels would not dry overnight The pool is tiny – and I mean tiny Big enough for 4 or 5 people to get wet It truly is a 10-minute walk from the downtown area, and there is a bakery called Poppy right next to it that looks amazing, and a really neat miniature golf directly across the street The location is minites away from everything The staff are friendly, too If you’re looking for a fast cheap get away, this is perfect If you’re looking for luxury, not the place

Lake Geneva Lodge is amazing I have been going here for 7 years now and it gets better each year The owners are so friendly and accommodating they even gave us a welcome goody bag this year They also gave us coupons to do a boat tour

The new updates are stunning The rooms are so clean the grounds are beautiful the pool is great I always feel so welcome and safe there so cozy I can’t say enough about LGL!!! Love it can’t wait until next year!!

The room was clean, breakfast was good, and staff were nice I booked my room online for a lower price total of $249 When I went to check in they had a computer problem accessing my reservation

I showed them my email with pricing and was told a price would be matched When I checked out I looked to see what was billed to my card $140 1st night $180 2nd night I talked with host about it and said it would be lowered to $305 after about 3 days I said that is not the price that was agreed upon He said he couldn’t change price and Manger would call me No phone call and it’s been a week Would I stay there again? Yes If I had to but I would definitely make sure on pricing upfront

Nyesha Qaasim

Great location to see all Lake Geneva has to offer We had two adjoining rooms, and it was perfect for our family of five We spent every afternoon at the indoor pool

The staff is very friendly and helpful The trolley drivers were very kind to my kids

Kerry Krivoshein

Layout of room was strange

bedroom in front and kitchen and nook in back The roads that wind their way through this vast complex are not labeled well at all, which made it hard to find your way around Even a major road that goes in and out of the complex didn’t have a street sign Registration and visitor areas was great The employees were courteous and helpful

Donald Self

We booked through our Hilton Grand Vacations exchange and felt the property was top notch! We were blessed with a full kitchen with lovely modern appliances, washer and dryer, full bath and walk in shower as well as a wonderful garden tub that fits two Double sink in makeup area as well as in a seperate bathroom Very comfortable king bed and lovely updated furniture

Immaculate! Lovely modern furniture We had a beautiful balcony on the golfcourse with a sliding door off of our bedroom as well as a door to the patio off the livingroom A fireplace as wellThis was one of the older buildings but was wonderfully renovatedThe consLandscaping infront of building very overgrown with tall weeds and the elevater and concrete outside in the walkways very dirty and needed cleaning Walls were thin with the connecting room conversation easily heard, thank goodness they were not in their room muchEven with the couple cons i would not hesitate to stay again Highly recommend this place and cant wait to go back!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here This was our first time in Lake Geneva and we will be coming back! We liked the location, it was walking distance to downtown There were a variety of eateries to choose from

I wish we would have enjoyed our balcony but there were too many mosquitoes due to the heat and rain Overall, a great experience!

San d

The hotel is very nicely located right opposite the lake, and there are rooms with balcony facing the lake The view from the balcony is beautiful The hotel does not have any breakfast or restaurant but there are places around the hotel for that

It is just about a few minutes walk from the heart of downtown Parking is convenient with both around the hotel and underground

Melonie P

A nice, clean, all suite property Great location by the water Walking distance to restaurants and shops

Loved the underground parking option We booked ahead for a couples massage, it was great! Problems with the tv’s we couldn’t get completely worked out Parkview rooms give you a view of the parking lot and a little park grassy area, pay an extra $60 per night for a lake view Loved the hot jacuzzi and pool! Petite exercise room Website states bath robes are included, we had to ask for them The next day cleaning crew came in and took them, didn’t replace, so I had to ask for them again Large refrigerator (+freezer area) with nice glass and dish wares selection All-in-all, it was a nice place though not as fancy as I expected due to the price we paid

My friend and I stayed last weekend for a birthday girls weekend and the location was perfect! It was within walking distance to everything We had a balcony that overlooked the creek and the lake and it was so nice The rooms were perfect with an in-suite kitchen and separate room for the bed

The staff was very nice We also loved the 24 hr coffee bar in the lobby and the soup! They have attention to detail that makes your stay special! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Andrew Pierson

TLDR: Take the owners advice, make a reservation with big business and don’t support small businesses (or at least this one)After reading some other reviews I’m glad to find out I’m not the only person who had to deal with a bad “owner” experience Due to covid exposure and not wanting to spread a viral infection around to other guests or people, we could not make our reservation and I knew finding out the week of would require a conversation with customer support as I did read the policy that states 14+ day cancellations only

I did not expect nor really want to cancel my visit but to re-arrange it to work for another date I figured it was worth a shot and if it’s not possible so be it I however was not ready for the phone call from a “owner” regarding my reservationWhat started as just a question ended with a supposed owner getting angry and frustrated at me for made up reasons they decided to conjure up This person obviously cared very little about customers and more about the money This was validated when they took pretty much the entire conversation as me personally attacking them On top of this I was told that I should support big businesses over small ones if I wanted to have coverage/insurance for a reservationThey literally told me not to support them even though they also stated how if they did this kind of cancellation for everything they would have to close and they had no availability to move or re-arrange my stayAgain I was not speaking to customer service because I thought I deserved a refund but more because I wanted to verify there was nothing they could do for me as it doesn’t hurt to ask the question and I mainly would’ve wanted to move it over cancel it This review is solely based on a return phone call I received from the owner and her handling of situation and how poorly of a job she did

Willow Jergensen

I don’t know how we have never heard of this hotel before we stayed here! This will be me and my husband’s get away spot from now on if we need a get away for the weekend First off the lobby is very cozy and super friendly They had fresh baked cookies and water for us when we walked in

When we walked into our room it was AH-MAZING! A goodie bag waiting for us with more cookies, water bottles, lotion, and chips They had the towels on the bed in a cute folded heart and the bathroom was huge! They also have a swimming pool and hot tub, we didn’t have enough time to use it though (Next time) And unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures but just take my word, this is the best spot in LG It’s located downtown, you can walk everywhere from there and leave your car in the parking garage that’s free for guests 10 stars from me!

My husband and I stayed at The Baker House for our honeymoon July 10-14 We spent 4 nights and 5 days in the Versailles Suite When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly and accommodating hostess

Our bags were carried upstairs for us and when we opened the door, the room was beautifully prepared with dimmed lights, rose petals on the floor and bed, champagne on ice, chocolate covered strawberries, and red roses in a vase on the nightstand The Suite is perfectly decorated to fit the Gilded Age theme (as is the entire Baker House) to really give off that Lake Geneva feeling we were looking for Beautiful and elegant chandeliers, silver cast iron trays and dishes, along with the drapery, wallpaper, and intricate carved fireplace mantle Personal amenities included comfortable plush robes, a large king size bed, and a one of kind shower with two heads and six side jets Each morning we were served breakfast in bed Our breakfast included hot coffee, warm croissants, and fresh fruit daily Outside of the Baker house is a beautiful garden with cabanas and gas fire tables for use by the guests Our view of the lake provided easy access to the beach, shops, and eateries With our VIP parking, we never had to worry about getting a close spot! We would recommend The Baker House 10 out of 10 times to anyone wanting a romantic get away With so many more beautiful rooms, we’re excited to come back in the future for another stay!

Linda H.

My daughter surprised me for my birthday with brunch at the Baker House We got there a half hour before our reservation and were given the option to be seated right away We started off with the bottomless mimosas, which were merely okay, so we each only had one

I ate small portions of the following: eggs with vegetables (delicious), egg benedict with mushrooms, spinach and tomato, french toast, yogurt with fruit and granola, side salad, prime rib, chicken fettuccine, and finished my meal with coffee and cheesecake To my delight, we were allowed to tour the first floor, though I wish we could’ve seen the upstairs and basement as well Price was $35 per plate but it is higher priced if you go on a holiday

Anton Grahame

We stayed for three nights for our anniversary The staff was all incredibly helpful and friendly, and the room was incredible! We also ate dinner in the restaurant on our last night, and it was the best steak I have ever had The drinks were also wonderful, and our waiter was absolutely phenomenal with recommendations, conversation, and service

Ary Alvarez

The place is lovely We had the Luxury Lakefront King Loft It was so spacious and beautifully laid out

The jacuzzi tub was placed upstairs with a fireplace that we loved They do serve their breakfast in a bag which unfortunately is loaded with sugar I think better options needed for people who can’t consume food with added sugar The issues we had with the room were the candles needed new batteries, dirty stain down the middle off a chair, the sliding door to the shower either got stuck and wouldn’t open or it came off the track But the worst was the water smelled like metal So I could not enjoy a shower, brush my teeth, or the jacuzzi I’m sure these things will get fixed But next time we will find a B&B that serves breakfast with the same price that we paid for

Shannon Richardson

This was my second time staying here The first time was in February When we got there the pool was closed! I asked about it and they said it was supposed to be fixed that weekend

That never happened I thought it was very unprofessional to not let the people know before they arrived The ice machine was not working for majority of our stay The hotel is a bit run down, but it is clean They have the most comfortable beds and bedding The views are just amazing! I learned they have new owners I’m hoping they are going to make things right and fix these issues I also hope they will open the restaurant and serve a true breakfast for being a bed and breakfast

Emily Collins

The air old conditioner is not working It’s 85 degrees out today and our room was very uncomfortable when we checked in at 6:30 We thought that we could let it run and then maybe it would get colder but when we got back to the room it was still hot

The lobby is closed at 8 so we can’t do anything about it I’m also 8 months pregnant so it’s very hard for me to get a good nights rest when it’s this hot in the room The water temperature is either too hot or too cold, the pressure is weak, there’s chipped paint and holes on the wall that need touched up I was really hoping to like this place when we pulled up because of the view…but the room is subpar for the price I feel like we need to get the room discounted Also the pool has a tarp on it and I was looking forward to swimming and we couldn’t do that The pictures on there website are very slim for some reason as well I was just really hoping for more especially because we came here for a baby moon

Should have know when we walked into the lobby and saw the Christmas decorations still up, in June I think that might be the last time the place was cleaned floors dirty, comforter stained, live Turtle tank behind the front desk even needed cleaned

They hadn’t bothered to turn on the A/C in preparation for our stay, so when I did, I wish I hadn’t It smelled very musty too much to write here so called Wyndham, who seemed concerned but asked us to resolve it with the management Still waiting for a call 3 weeks later I feel like at least Wyndham should have stood behind this

I mean, it’s a pretty normal comfort inn Friendly staffOur room had damp carpets for some reason and smelled like what we could best describe as “wheat”

The outlet by the bed didn’t work The extraction fan in the bathroom didn’t work eitherEverything was clean, just needs some issues fixedAnd the pool was a very nice temperature, but it seems the ventilation was on the fritz because it was so humid in there !!!!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at The pool had a lot of chlorine but that’s to be expected The free breakfast was the BEST free breakfast of any hotel I’ve been too! They had omelets with toppings, waffles

large and mini size, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, 4 different cereals, toast, 3 different kinds of juice, milk, bagels and cream cheese, mini muffins, fresh fruit, Danish and cinnamon rolls individually packaged and I’m sure I’m forgetting something! Something for everyone! Our 2 queen bed suite had a couch with a pull out bed as well and we only paid like $130 a night We will definitely be back!

OK, so I’ve never been here as a customer, but I’ve visited here over the years as a vendor (band member) The staff are always great to work with They’re always so nice and helpful

The food they cater at events is always good It’s just a great resort vibe to be here They have this big new party boat that they rent out Our band played on it for a party this week as it drove around the lake Super fun and unique experience!

Daniel Secedi

Beautiful waterfront views throughout the entire resort We enjoyed a 3-day weekend in the winter with plenty of indoor walking around the large loop of buildings connected with hallways The indoor pool is great, especially if you have kids

The hot tub is a nice addition There is also a spa Although the Frontier restaurant was closed, the Lookout Bar was an adequate substitute along with the café They have a wide variety of different sizes and types of rooms in the various lodges

Sarah Halloway

I stayed here with my family as a nice getaway It was fine enough The decor was nice, the arcade was tiny and the air hockey table took so

e of our money without giving us a puck to play with The pool and hot tub were fine too Nothing terrible happened and things were clean Just a little pricey for what was available, in my opinion

I gave the hotel a 3 star due to the service of the people at the desk The hotel itself was nice, clean and very close to walking downtown Lake Geneva and the beach Our room was clean and we enjoyed the balcony overlooking the lake

The service however was not good! The front desk could not check us in early at all They could not let us check out later since we didn’t get to check in early Then when I said I was going to leave a negative review all of a sudden they were able to let us check out at 1 instead of 11 So we basically check in at 4pm out by 11am not much of a stay for the price We decided to go to another place The lady in the parking lot showing people were to park was the only staff that was actually nice and helpful We wouldn’t stay again just due to the service

Scott Cheek

Highly recommend the Lake View rooms The view is fun to see the lake, sunset and sunrise, along with general relaxing on the balcony We keep choosing Harbor Shores when we visit Lake Geneva and always enjoy our stay

Room is always clean and bed is comfy The staff at the desk is friendly and can provide suggestions and recommendations for the areaAlso, when staying at Harbor Shores, you get a 10% discount at Gino’s East Pizza on the first floor
