Well I don’t know where to start Came in from out of town to just get awayWe called customer service to go to the Hilton on Mission Valley by the mall and as we drove to the location given it was mission valley stadium and did not match the pictures

As we checked in the front desk told us immediately if we switched hotels we still will be charged for three days because we needed to give 24 hours Mind you the reservation was made the same day Not understanding why a simple switch could not be made as we noticed a whole homeless camp in the back parking lot Called customer or corporate line to ask if we could switch and the customer service agent said why did we choose this hotel and not what we wanted as we explained to her we are from out of town and did not know we would of been deceived After telling us she needed to hear the tape to see if we made the mistake or the employee made the mistake Agent was rude and only listened to provide a response and not one of a customer service agent When asked if we could speak to her manager she replied she doesn’t have a manager as we called the top leave of service for Hilton and she was the boss My reply everyone answers to someone and she said she was the top and will send us an investigation As we were on the phone my husband noticed Hilton deducted 202200 from his credit card This was mentioned to top level phone agent and her reply was that wasn’t her concern as she is only focusing if we made the mistake of choosing the wrong hotel We immediately called front desk to make them aware and a male staff member hung up after being confronted about that amount and we called back and a female staff member acknowledged she was aware and they are working on it and it will be refunded in 24 hours 2 days later money was not returned and we were quoted 59400 There were no light bulbs in two of the lamps and a light bulb missing on one of mini reading lamps We don’t smoke and it reeked of stale cigarettes There was dried blood on the sheets Also we had to call the front desk to ask for new wash clothes and clean sheets as no one bothered to clean our room Tomorrow is our check out 4/21/2922 just in case there is a lie to justify the stealing of 2 grand Very disappointed in how this makes the Hilton name to become tarnished

I am giving 4 stars because the good outweighs the badNear many restaurants and stores The only disabled parking spot they have is large

Extremely helpful staff, especially midnight clerk and GM Good food at the restaurant Putting restaurant tab on hotel bill was extremely convenient Nice selection in the store Clean in the common areas and rooms Nice amenities in rooms and lobby The pool was beautiful and the workout room was excellent and very well equipped The guest safes were convenient and a lifesaverHuge homeless camp behind hotel, so tons of foot traffic through the driveway Delivery trucks block driveway throughout the day No coffee available after 10am No lunch at restaurantLots of small things broken in the rooms, but manager took the problems seriously and repairs were made promptly Minor issue with one of the elevators, and the ice machine on the 2nd floor is broken, loud and leakingWe would definitely stay again due to the staff’s commitment to our comfort, convenience, and security

San Xiong

This is the worst Hilton in San Diego, CA The way they took the angle of the hotel looks clean and big but once we arrived, the area is a dump, squash between Jack in the Box like this hotel was in the back alley

in which it is On the outside parking in the rear, you will see homeless encampment It is not safe and be aware that the camera inside the garage only have one view take and make sure you park once you enter the garageif you go further to where you are heading out, there is no camera in which that the camera angle only the entrance and not the other side The elevator and the hallway to any floors smell and has no air condition No complimentary breakfast in which they will charge you $2100 per person We told the front desk, we do not want serviceand they come anyway This place only looks good in the front main entrance to check in but the room are terriblepower outlet do not work, no fan vent in the restroom, and trust methey will try to charge you extra fees Parking is $1500 a night but you see other encampment RV park inside and they did not even care We only put friend family pet in the room for a min of 30 minutes and were charge $7500 for a service fee Stay away from this place and rent the one by the waterfront Other customer that slept during those days we stay said their bathroom was clogged and none of the maintenance did not care We have pay a premium during our stay in July of 2022and it was the worst stay At least have a security on duty patrolling the parking Have extra hotel luggage cart We have ask many time and they said they do not have it, in which we found out they only have 3 cart throughout the hotel in which we were lucking that one of the customer gave it to us down in the basement parking I would not come back to this placeI have seen many customer just walk across the alley to other restaurant to buy breakfast every morning It is a sad location and they need to disclose it online so everyone should be aware of booking it Be aware, check Google map 3d and you will thank me! Going back to lower end of other hotel that offer better service, complimentary, and care about customer spending these nights there

Templet

Beautiful lobby, great theme, and presumably very fun parties Unfortunately the rooms (at least the one we stayed in) are at most adequate Scant hot water in the showers, no soundproofing (which is especially bad when the rooms overlook common spaces and there are parties held), and when we arrived the toilet was clogged

The staff were immensely nice, but we also had to ask three times to get someone to come in with a plunger Overall, it was a cheap enough option and it wasn’t unsafe at all but it also wasn’t an ideal room to stay in

Katie Spencer

Unfortunately the other reviews claiming the rooms do not match what is portrayed on their website is accurate (at least for our short stay) the hotel lobby and pool area are very cute and the staff is incredible but once you leave the retro lobby it starts to go downhill quick The hallways have stains on their walls and carpet The two rooms we saw were decorated with beige stained walls, stained and smelly brown carpet and old sticky furniture

the walls are paper thin, the bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned and the rooms themselves had never been dusted The frustration is the price point of this hotel is way too high for the quality of the rooms My guess is the rooms by the pools are nicer The hotel was very helpful and nice enough to confirm a full refund for our three night stay The two stars is solely based on how nice the staff is and communication was seamless

Beth B

Definitely a BIG NO The rooms are dirty and in need of a great deal of maintenance Walls are dirty, shower as well

The drapes on the window were ripped The art on the wall, frames were damaged The towels need to be gathered up and thrown away The mattress was old and wore out I made the mistake of walking barefoot in the room once, the bottom of my feet were completely black I tried to use the pool, the tiles were slimy Apparently they charge $20 a day for the public to use the pool So at any given time there are a ton of loud people and kids in the pool Definitely not as described when you book it I would have rather spent more money to have an enjoyable stay anywhere else I made the mistake of booking this place based on the description and should have done my homework and read the reviews

My family and I had a great stay here From the minute we pulled up the valet came out and helped us unload our luggage Check in was easy and we stayed in an absolutely gorgeous suite on the sixth floor

The hotel is in a historic building and it was nice to see the history of the building as you walk around The only thing I did not really like is how they try to rope you into a timeshare presentation Granted if you attended the presentation, which we did, they waived the valet fees and gave you a seven day stay in any of their hotels Aside from that everything was fantastic I would definitely stay here again

We booked a room on their website, and wrote on the comments section we were bringing a service dog to be polite While we were on our way to check in, the hotel called and let us know we were not welcome there, and that they would be canceling our room They do not allow service dogs, even though we offered proof that he is fully trained

The owner tried to explain thay they believe he is a true service dog, but that it doesnt matter, they do not allow them The owner apologized We were originally charged but they refunded it same day, before they called us

Nomad Skateboarding

One of the most welcoming hostels I’ve been in 🙂Bathrooms and kitchens are easily accessible Good amount of space for guests

Inside separate smoking room Great prices/value Free breakfast (I didn’t see what either time I started, but others seemed happy!) Stores, transportation, and University district right outsideThe staff were all very good Kayla and Aubrey were exceptional! (Full transparency, these were the only two I really spoke with, so the rest of the staff are most likely cool as well 😎)I would recommend this to anyone looking for a short or long-term stay in San Diego

Demetrius Rowe

From the time I checked in the staff was great Audrey along with the other nice young lady Kayla their customer service was very awesome! No attitudes and they always had a smile and was extremely helpful the days I encountered these lovely people The kitchen was spacious and the rooms were clean If there were or if any issues they looked into it right away and they did their job with greatness

Though things has happened to me I can say my experience was great and I appreciate them for allowing a great place like this to be around which allow people to come together and socialize

Elijah Mccord

I give this place 2 stars because I met some great people there and the manager cares about the place That said, housekeeping is pretty much non-existent The rooms are tiny and never get deep cleaned beyond the beds being turned over

Nor do the bathrooms, which are often out of toilet paper and soap The toilets get clogged constantly at which point the stalls are taped shut and left with a terrible smell that festers because of poor ventilation The fridges in the common areas are never cleaned, and the pantry area has a terrible mold problem that completely ruined multiple of my food items in which they were stored The overall issue is cleanliness I don’t wish to throw the staff under the bus because they are largely great people, but the truth is there’s a serious lack of maintenance that left me feeling pretty undervalued as a paying customer My opinions seemed to be shared by several of the other guests with whom I spoke about the issues It’s an ok option considering the price, but the infrastructure and work ethic of the staff needs some improvement

These guys went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable I was there with my daughters and we loved the beach vibes Immaculate and beautiful suite with everything we needed

We loved and used the complementary surfboards and bikes and appreciated the tips on where to go We loved the spa-like atmosphere of the hot tub and fire pit-very relaxing The owners personally reached out to us to ensure we had a great experience Check-in and out were smooth and convenient We will definitely be back Thank you for an unforgettable senior trip for my girls!

Candus Suppelsa

We loved our stay at this hotel! The location is perfect for walking to coffee, restaurants and the beach The vibe in the room is beautiful- a retro feel – minimalist yet has everything you need – super clean and cozy Love the sitting area directly outside the room

The owner was great and made sure we had everything we needed Would love to come back!

Paul Matz

If you are looking for a get away that reflective of the southern California Surf community, the Green Room in Ocean Side is the perfect place It is a renovated hotel on Carlsbad Blvd (aka the South Coastal Highway) located with lots of other cool businesses There’s a great natural food grocery store across the street, and many restaurants and cafes within 2 blocks

The hotel rooms are very cool – modern and very functional – with new appliances and furniture Very comfy Breakfast if a continental/American version: really dominant coffee and donuts from a neighboring cafe is out early by the fire pit and hot tub, where you can hang out chatting with other guests There are cruiser bikes and surf boards on hand to borrow The shore is a few block walk, with multiple access points for surfers to get into the water The beach and Ocean Side Pier is a bit further off – an easy bike ride The town streets avail lots of interesting people watching as you explore The area where the Green Room is is quite different from the area around the Pier, and has a much more down to earth and casual feel, very relaxing Definitely worth a weekend visit!

A very nice timeshare to stay at The rooms are spacious and the fact it includes amenities such as an outdoor pool and grills and there’s even a balcony area for your room makes it very comfortable A full kitchen area with a sizeable table to eat or work at makes it a plus

The staff are polite and professional They are following current Covid guidelines Recommended

Derek Galenti

Staff was slow or non-existent to bring any item to the room The facility needs repairs and there is obvious settling to the structure I noticed there was sewer leaks at plumbing lines in the garage level below

Hallways and doorways on the 4 floor had major settling and felt like a cruise ship when walking through (sway and vibrations) I won’t go back for safety concerns It only got 2 stars for its proximity to locations I would feel better if a structural engineer reviewed it first

My Very First Experience with WorldMark😊I was very Pleased! My stay was amazing! It was quiet, breakfast was delicious! Every single staff from the front desk to the kitchen had amazing customer service I booked through Bookingcom however there was an issue with the dates where it didn’t show in the system correctly

The employees was able to cancel the reservation and book directly through the hotel itself resulting in a cheaper rate than booking!! Location is great if you have a car, food and shopping centers are about a mile away

Steph Pres

We have stayed here several times in the past and have always had a great experience Breakfast is always fresh and hot (this last stay the pancake machine was broken but we understand things happen) We would like to give a shout out to Rogelio R at the front desk

He went above and beyond to help us with a pizza delivery we had an issue with It had nothing to do with the hotel andhe could have easily looked the other way but he stepped up to help us and it was appreciated Front desk employees are always super nice and the room are always clean

Okay

The day I was there a water line broke that morning I arrived around 1:30pm and was told about the situation and was offered a full refund Or I could stay and the water would possibly be fixed later that evening Unfortunately another pipe broke and I stayed one night and left The hotel discounted my 1st night stay and refunded me the rest I understand that things happened and my 3 star rating is not a reflection of what happened or the staff The rating is for the room itself, the bed was very uncomfortable The staff was fabulous very friendly and very accommodating One more thing, the seafood restaurant next door has a parking lot right next to the hotel Signs are posted no overnight parking and restaurant parking only

Looking for a decently priced place to stay that is conveniently located by the freeway to get you to downtown San Diego in less than 10 minutes? Well look no further! We noted in reviews that this motel had been recently renovated and we decided to take a chance on the Rambler given the overall vibe and price! It was impressive! The beds are comfy, the shower are nice, and the size of the rooms is goodStaff was kind and welcoming especially with us checking in so late! Parking was easy as wellI know folks bring up the noise level, I honestly wasn’t bothered by it at all and our room was facing the freeway

We do live in the city so maybe that helped? The only downside is the no fridge or microwave With being tourists we would come home with food and forget we didn’t have it to warm/coolOverall though, this place is a strong contender of places to stay in the San Diego area!

Nathan

This place has a great nostalgic 70s feel Remodeled hotel and rooms Very clean and in a good location

They have a great bistro on site in their lobby area and you get 50% off anything you order when you stay there Happy to be able to have my smoothies in the morning Close to a hiking/biking trail to enjoy beautiful views on runs/workouts The pool area has a nice fire pit and corn hole game you can play I like the way the pool area lights up at nightOnly downside to this hotel is that there’s no microwave or refrigerator in the room And the curtains don’t fully block the light in the morning from the sun The bed was pretty comfortable, not the best but also not the worst

Marion Ashly Jones

I have been traveling to San Diego a lot this year and I always stay at the Rambler The rooms are cute, clean, and affordable I appreciate that the trolley runs nearby as well

The staff is always friendly and accommodating I love the cafe as well and guests get half off When I’m back home I find myself craving the food! Thank you to the staff for creating a great guest experience every time I visit

My family of four and I were pleased with our stay here, located right by Mainstreet Walking around and finding a great place to eat and shop nearby was excellent The police station is the building’s neighbor, so it felt secure to walk at night

The staff is amicable! The pool was always at a warm temperature, and we enjoyed that while out on a night swim Beautiful Patio next to the pool as well

Natalia Jeanie

Love this place The staff are always extremely polite, courteous and more than helpful I wish the house keeping staff spoke a lock of English bc it’s really frustrating when they’re the only ones available and they have absolutely no idea what it is that you’re asking for or needing

The communication barrier is a huge road block and very unfortunate other than that very clean, great breakfast and free parking!

Phenomenal experience! Everyone from the staff to the guests has a warm, friendly, inviting energy Add that to the excellent location and abundance of art, and you’ve got quite the vibe This will definitely be the go-to spot for future travels

Objectively, the kitchen is set-up nicely so you don’t feel cramped even when it’s full The rooms are neat and clean, and the bathroom/shower facilities are accessible and ample The location is great for public transit on the rails or buses Perfect for going out only a few blocks from downtown Gaslamp, but able to come back to a more peaceful night sleep Just an easy, comfortable stay overall Best in San Diego

places to sit and relax throughout the property Pool was nice with plenty of chairs, towels and was very clean Front desk staff including the manager were extremely accommodating to me and very professional I arrived very early in the morning and didn’t expect to be able to check in, but just asked to be able to check in whenever they had something available They were so accommodating and actually found a room within the hour around 10am Awesome!! Great thing is this Marriott had the Elite lounge open and well stocked drinks and snacks Complementary breakfast daily as well Nice touch was a seltzer bar in the lounge with coffee and tea machine as well Only negative here is the rooms have hardwood floors that are not kept clean Not sure if they don’t have the correct vacuum cleaners or what, but the floors had other people’s hair all over the place It was pretty gross actually and my socks were covered with debris from the floor Walls had blood splattered on themas well Low pile rugs are a better option and easier to vacuum using the upright vacuum they use Anyway, I would still recommend this hotel, but just beware that you must wear slippers or setting on your feet at all times in the room unless you want other people’s hair on your feet!

We stayed here for the first time last weekend and we were very pleasantly surprised how much we loved it The rooms were clean and great The staff was super friendly! While we ate breakfast there, a couple of the staff members really stood out

We were greeted by Dee and we watched as she chatted and made sure all the guests were happy and enjoying their meals Our server was JC and he was excellent Let’s not forget the front desk either They were all super helpful Especially Anna! We will be coming back very soon!!!

Our stay was good and could have been better for 5 starsHere are few things that can be improved:- no room service done even after requesting a day in advance It was done later after when we came back and had to call front desk multiple times- after room service was done, coffee supplies were not refilled- used glasses were not replaced- trash from the bin was not removed- no chairs in the balcony- lastly not a deal breaker but a hot tub around the pool was missing

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel! My only complaint is that breakfast was not provided and there was no easy way to order food there The rooms were updated and clean The parking lot was easily accessible

WE were close to all the locations we wanted to visit We felt safe and cared for My family especially loved the pool and the hot tub I loved that there were laundry facilities on site to do your own laundry (bring your own quarters) The gym was very up to date and open 24 hours Highly recommend this hotel We moved from a hotel that did not suit our needs and they got us in at a reasonable rate!

Not the typical standard of what I’m used to for Marriott It still looked under renovation on some floors The hotel rep said there would be carts for my luggage outside which there were none

I asked for extra pillows and received no extra My family and I tried taking showers but the shower would not drain properly and flooded the shower floor The shower door seal did not have a good seal and it leaked onto the bathroom floor I stopped it and spoke to the rep/possibly the manager at checkout to inform her She offered me a worthy discount on my room for my family bot being able to use the shower I received my bill only to see she refunded $117 for the troubles While the stay wasn’t horrible, the service was This isn’t a location I would recommend

We were thankful to have found a safe place to stay very close to an event we went to That being said, we didn’t like the way our room was setup It felt dark and had an odd long carpeted hallway entrance

And the bedroom wasn’t completely private, it had a sliding door but there was an opening in the wall that you couldn’t close or cover There wasn’t a hair dryer in the room and it took about an hour to get one after we asked (while my hair was wet) I didn’t love the price per night or that you had to pay for parking, but my least favorite was the $20 “buffet breakfast” that was nothing more than most continental breakfasts we could get for free at other hotels

This hotel was one of the best Holiday Inn hotels I have stayed at Very clean and new looking considering that it has been over 5 years since it was built I was toldI tried to get in touch with the front desk about checking in early

I thought I was contacting the hotel directly since their number was on the website Ended up with reservations and told them I needed to talk with them about an early check-in since I was an Elite Rewards member The phone went to a constant not in service signalEnded up driving to the hotel to check in early and mentioned the troubles with the phone and the desk agent said there was no issue even though I said that was not true She tried defending it still Any way, she she allow me to check-in earlyOne thing that is misleading is no pricing on any of the food and beverages that are available for purchase Price markers should be displayed on the shelves below the items or a menu displayed on the wall next to them I could have saved myself a trip to the convenience store Most hotels charge more than usual, but I found this to be reasonable after having to ask on the prices and suggesting they list their pricesBreakfast was very good with many options and was offered for a 4 hour time frameLoved the pillows on the bed but the bed itself was a bit too firm for me

One of the BEST hotels ever!!! And I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels recently moving cross country Everything was smooth and relaxing from start to finish The front desk employee was so friendly and helpful

The room was exceptionally clean; the bathroom made me feel like I was at a spa and the bed was sooo comfy The room and entire hotel appeared newly updated But that outdoor area??? The best!! Complete with a large heated pool, sofas and a fire pit, and I myself loved relaxing in the large hot tubI can’t wait to come back and stay here again!!
