Check-in is very friendly Had to keep getting my room key reactivated and front desk took extra measures to check my name for security purposes Witnessed the lady checking in the people in front of me that were being difficult and she remained very professional

Room was clean and got a great 3 nights of sleep after working a Home Show See you again in July!!!

Dan Kmett (DKMB)

Very clean and sanitary, room in good condition and a nice extra of the sleeper sofa with the king bed room Very comfortable bed and a TV that actually works well Decent breakfast offering, though I miss the donuts

All items were pre wrapped and fresh The breakfast area was well kept by a very hard working and friendly woman, Susie Again, very clean and well stocked Would stay here again in a heartbeat, All the staff was very cordial and wore masks Only complaints were that outside road noise was heard from I95 construction and the coffee could have been stronger but it was always available

Rob Eamer

Although the property and room looked nice, there were some serious deficiencies that will prevent us from ever coming back This hotel was our pit stop on our way home from Florida and most of the outlets in our room did not work so we were not able to re-charge some of our devices More importantly, the beds were very firm and uncomfortable so we all had a terrible sleep

Also, only one ice machine in the building worked We will definitely not be back on our next trip

This hotel is designed for longer term stays, but we were only in for a weekend for a family member’s university graduation Nice enough place, but there was a bit of weirdnessWe booked a room for 4 adults

But we only had 3 bath towels and wash cloths I liked the “kitchenette,” with 4 plates, bowls, forks, etc, but there was only 2 chairs Guess you can feed 4, in shifts of 2 But, with the size of the room there wouldn’t have been room for the 2 double beds had there been more chairsI also found it odd there was only 1 small elevator Not really a major problem, but when there were a bunch of people waiting to go up it could take a whileThe beds were mostly comfortable, but noisy Mattresses sounded like the were vinyl covered, so everytime someone rolled over or moved they made noiseAll in all, for the price we paid, it was a positive experience Had we been staying longer the lack of comfortable seating might have become a problem, but we managed to work around it for the weekendI would stay here again, but would probably ask for an upgraded room with bigger beds

Perfect location next to mall The rooms are wonderful sizes very big and wonderful utilities Only problem I’ve had is when the smoke alarm kept going off multiple times in the stay

perfect room other than alarmOnly had one bad room and that’s because whoever stayed before had been smoking crack or something in the room so gave me a headache Other than that all good

LaChinta Daye

My landlord had to put us in the hotel due to my ac being out The room looked clean My son had to sleep on the sofa bed, which did not have no sheets

When we looked under the mattress, it was full of crumbs and other Debris The Mattress did not have a mattress pad and had stains like juice I went down stairs and let the lady at front desk know The manger and the other lady came up stairs clean the bed and put sheets on We had to leave in the middle of the morning 12 something am because the couch had bed bugs My son came and got me I went down stairs again and it was the night shift, and she could not get in touch with the manager or anyone and did not have another room to put us in We ending up leaving that hotel and my son’s clothes were left also Long story short we got the run around about the problem Glad I got video and pictures

Holiday Inn express nearby cancelled our reservation without notifying us ahead of time This is after we drove about 5 hours to attend a wedding in the area Upon arrival at the Holiday Inn, a cleaning lady told us our room was cancelled and they have no rooms available at the time

Fortunately, we were able to get a room at the BEST WESTERN next to it The staff at the BEST WESTERN was extremely helpful and friendly Thank you BEST WESTERN!

Narayanan B

They have excellent staff and a good complementary breakfast (The apple / orange drink machine was broken) Good room Calm environment

I will stay here again for the room and the excellent staff I did not give 5 star because I had expectation of this being a hotel with business room and a computer for a meeting and I was disappointed for taking the meeting from my room For the day I stayed, the computer was broken and was located in the lobby with no business room (two reasons why I consider this a motel)

Johnny Araya

I feel the price for the place a bit high The rooms were ok Not a bad hotel and overall it was clean

Not loud at night Restaurant and gas station next door Beds were comfortable Complementary breakfast was just ok Not a fan of high carb nutrition, so, there was literally nothing I could eat, except for coffee and hard boiled eggs For most folks it should be ok, especially the free waffles Staff was very friendly and kind

the hotel is in a beautiful location and the lobby is sophisticated the indoor pool is in a very interesting place because when you walk in the front door of the hotel you can look down and see the indoor pool it’s beautifully designedthe restaurant is quite nice, really like the ambiance, the bartender is friendly and we ordered a few appetizers that were quite delicious

the rooms are okay not great and the bathroom is super super smallwe were on the 9th floor and the views are spectacular we lucked into a thunderstorm too so it was beautiful to see from that perspective so many mountains!

Grant Benjamin (stobyzantium)

A+ For everyone at the front desk and at the restaurant in this lovely DoubleTree hotel Every employee was kind, friendly, and helpfulB+/A+ For their famous butter-made cookie

The cookie we first got on check-in was good, but dry It wasn’t as fresh as it could have been, and clearly had been under the heat lamp for too long But the next morning when we asked for an extra cookie for the road it was chewy, perfect, and yummyA- For the room, which was overall clean and luxuriousB+ For the food in the restaurant My salmon dinner was tasty My oatmeal in the morning was a bit watery, but the fresh blueberries on top were really goodC- For the coffee Yikes The coffee in the lobby was weak and watery The coffee in the restaurant was strong but had bad flavor The in-room coffee maker coffee was also mediocre DoubleTree needs to upgrade its coffee significantly This was not the quality that an upscale Hilton brand hotel should have Conrad Hilton would be turning over in his grave Some money needs to be spent by Hilton to fix and stop Conrad from spinning aroundA For the landscaping around this hotel, which is really nice

Tiarra Ebony

This an old building but decent for a short stay They have a nice dining area !I was double booked and looked to be charged incorrectly I called this morning to see if I could get a few questions answered

Paula needs customer service training or pulled from the front desk She’s very inhospitable She first proceeded to tell me to contact my bank without even looking to see when I checked outThen when I explain the situation she places me on hold then comes back with an attitude to get my name and reservation information Then she proceeds to tell me everything but what I asked for Which was , did the second reservation get canceled on their end Easy Question

Robert Woods

Very good price for a hotel The included breakfast is better than average and included biscuits & gravy The covered pool is cool to use when it isn’t warm outside and fun for the kids

The staff is super friendly too My only complaint and loss of the star is because housekeeping came by two hours before checkout with a do not disturb on the door Overall, I would stay here again

Brianna Worrell

The front desk representative, Robin, made up for any minor irritations, and nothing was more than minorThe hotel was truly a value for what I spent It was cozy, clean and comfortable

Most of the staff was friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond, especially Robin, on several occasionsThe biggest frustration I had was with whatever air freshener or cleaner they spray in the rooms (musky, woodsy smell) It irritates my head and my allergies which was a nuisance but may not bother all So again, not huge to all but was a problem for me personallyBreakfast was nice, it was hot and tasty with eggs, meat and biscuits with gravy as well as breads and cereals/fruits and the attendant (especially the one on Friday morning – 1/7) was very kind A recommendation for this I would add is that it would have been nice to see variety from day to day (I was there for 3 breakfasts so maybe seeing the biscuits and gravy one day then waffle maker the next, etc would have been nice rather than biscuits and gravy every day) There was always coffee and hot water (for the available tea and cocoa) in the lobby, though it wasn’t always hot – yet this was only minor too since the room had a microwave as did the dining area where you could warm up your water No big deal!A huge kudos to Robin for making me forget any other very minor irritations I may have otherwise left in a review and to the property as a whole for being overall welcoming and a valueYou can tell the property and their staff are working hard to make their guests comfortable during their stayWill definitely stay here again!

We were going to stay one night before moving along on our vacation drive but y’all made it soo hard to want to leave that we booked a second night!I just don’t know where to begin with all of the wonderful things I want to say!Literally, every single time I walked in from being out I said to my husband, “I can NOT BELIEVE how clean and fresh it smells in here!”From the lobby, to the Fitness Center

there was such a pleasant aroma throughout the building! It was so clean and cozy! Surfaces polished and shiny! All furniture in top notch condition and floors, tubs and appliances spotless! 🙌🏻The rooms were bright and spacious, and we were beyond thrilled with the price! The complimentary breakfast was hot and delicious and the staff just as helpful, friendly and accommodating as could possibly be!Even the outer grounds were litter/butt free and quite obviously tended daily! We will be back to Roanoke again soon and I will not even consider staying anywhere else!Thank y’all so very much! What an absolute pleasure!

The hotel staff was amazing during our stay to help with family during a loss of our Grandfather They went out of their way to ensure that everything was good The only thing that we knew was the comfort of the bed

This is a ownership/corporate issue The bed is extremely hard like sleeping on a board with no movement Other than this location is great Very close to food, shopping, sight seeing location’s The staff and cleanliness is awesome If they company fixes the bed issue like other hotels have with firm, plush , pillows top mattresses they will be a 5 star That’s what it takes to lead in life, the extra step

Very well kept hotel We travel a lot after a recent accident we were forced to make hasty accommodations what a pleasant surprise this hotel is very well maintained all staff were very polite welcoming and helpful the gym and pool are well equipped breakfast was well stocked very neat the young lady was very helpful it was a great experience highly recommended

Darshan Mistry

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here in April 2022 We were on the 4th floor and had a highway facing room Unlike what other reviewers have said, the noise didn’t bother us at all

There was no housekeeping (due to the covid hangover, I guess), but the staff was helpful in proving any supplies needed for the room The one thing we were not happy about is breakfast They stopping refilling items up to an hour before the breakfast closing time This is weird since the last hour or so is generally the busiest, especially on weekends And they served these dry omelettes on both days that appeared to be pre-made and frozen

The floor tiles in the room and bathroom need to be replaced not a deal breaker but for the price the floors should be updatedOverall- we had an amazing experience, great location We loved staying here, going out to the balcony and seeing the ocean, fishing pier dolphins etc

Breakfast was beyond expectations – huge selection and very efficient manager and staff running it VA Beach is our vacation spot for 20+ years now stayed at Sandcastle many times and will recommend to anyone!

Binod Gupta

This is a hotel with good location which is near the fishing pier on the boardwalk The breakfast buffet is also good with biscuits, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, bread, fruits, coffee and juice It can get a bit crowded sometimes

Staff at the front desk were courteous and even let us check in early 3 stars due to the size of the room We had a double queen bed which barely fit the room Rooms are very small compared to other hotels that we have stayed We did have a balcony with great view of the boardwalk and ocean Hotel is close to restaurants and shops, a great location There is a small fitness room as well The swimming pool is on the second floor but is very deep for kids It starts at 4 feet to 6 feet My kids were a bit scared to play in the pool There is a kiddie pool which is for very small kids Overall a great hotel but if you don’t mind the small rooms the it can be for you I personally will stay at a hotel with larger rooms

Daryle Abrahams

Just the TicketA last-minute booking at a great price (ton and a half) resulted in finding this gem on the boardwalk, by the pier Breakfast, featuring Americana staples, was stocked sufficiently and there was some fresh fruit tooParking is included and the second floor is ideal for Senior Citizens to gain access to the hotel, sans stairs

Be sure to check in first as you need a hotel key for access from the parking deckAs usual, staffing makes a difference The team, including Christine and Pam were accommodating as were the Ocean’s 14 staff for dinner on the boardwalk itselfSome live music, on a Tuesday night no less, added to what has to be a, for the money, five-star review Bravo BW+ team We will see you again

The outside looks great, the room was great, clean, spacious I was by a nice outdoor pool and got tub Breakfast the next morning was really good and the lady that was taking care of the breakfast was also super friendly!! YOU are reality hiring great people and I will stay there the next time I am working in that area!!

My favorite thing about my stay was the customer service! The gentleman who checked me in was quick and thorough My first key didn’t work, got another and he even came out to the second building to make sure that if it didn’t work, he would take a look and see why The worst part of my stay was that the television was bigger than any other quality inn that I have stayed at

I’m too busy working on my laptop to enjoy it Lol definitely getting a 5 star, plus it was super clean and everything worked well!

CaseyLee

Came up for a few days from Virginia Beach to move my daughter into her dorm at Virginia Tech! Overall our experience was very nice and accommodating for the cost! The staff ladies Ashley at the front desk and Caitlyn who was very sweet as well! I appreciated being so close to restaurants and store and not far from the school! I would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great experience!

Clean, nice amenities, and pretty comfortable over all Staff were hospitable and helpful We had an issue with the toilet when we first got here

It was very slow to flush and the next morning wouldn’t flush Told maintenance that morning and they came and fixed it very promptly Maintenance was friendly and professional Fixed the toilet, let me know that he would be right back to clean up the area where he had worked In a few minutes he was back and after just a few minutes it was all back nice and clean! The bed was a little hard My husband has been working here in Hampton, VA and last time we stayed at the Hyatt Place Hampton Convention Center The bed is really the only thing better there The Hyatt bed was so comfy, it made me go on the search for a new mattress for my own bed at home, lol I still think that I would rather stay here at the Hampton Inn Breakfast was great and there were different options every day They have waffle makers😋 and usually had traditional batter and banana bread batter, yum!

Johnnie Johnson

Great location for this hotel Everything you need in life is within two miles of the hotel The hotel itself is nice and the staff was great

There were issues with entitled customers smoking in their rooms versus the designated outside areas resulting in the fire alarms being set off twice and the fire department showing up twice for nothing Outside of that, the stay was great

First off let me say, My Son passed away this week

so needless to say, it has not been a good week So, I arrived at this Holiday Inn Express after Loading my Son’s belongings and Driving 12 hours from Connecticut I hit traffic and arrived late at 1am Julie at the front desk was a breath of fresh air and she could see that I was upset and very worn out and tired She asked how I was doing I explained my terrible week She was amazing!! She upgraded my room and offered a late checkout to allow me to get some additional rest, which was much needed! This is now my new go to hotel!! And to Juliethanks so much for your Awesome customer service and for going above and beyond!! God Bless you and your family!!! This hotel is A++++ in my book!!

Susan Sommers

This Holiday Inn is being remodeled As you walk in there are stacks of new items piled high There are construction tools laying around the halls

In our room the carpet was old and soiled The upholstered chair was soiled and torn in places Above the room children were jumping and felt as though the ceiling was going to fall inThe continental breakfast was well stocked and the assortment was impressive

Mike White

It was one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in A huge thank you to the cleaning staff! Even though there was construction going on around the building, it was very quiet I wouldn’t have known they were even there had it not been for the signs

Most of the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful I definitely recommend if staying in Fredericksburg

We stop here to and from our destination going to NC because it is our half way point WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED how clean the rooms are They are also very pet friendly and have a huge dog walk area right across from the room

Highly recommend Do not judge from the outside, it is being updated You would never know how great this place really is It is also not far from all of the Natural Bridge attractions

Sarah Schick

Friendly staff, clean hotel, perfect for a quick overnight stay on the road I was a little skeptical (I normally don’t like to stay in places where doors are on the outside) but was pleasantly surprised It looks like the rooms and lobby were redone fairly recently

Everything was great and would totally stay at this particular place again if I needed an overnight stop!

Jacob Bernier

I think when reviewing a Motel 6 you need to keep in mind it is a budget hotel – it’s half the price of alot of other options My room was clean, the shower was hot, and my dog stayed for free Easy check in and check out

That being said, the appliances were definetly dated, microwave looked gross, the lights above the bed did not work The shower water pressure was crazy high which I actually enjoyed but some would notOverall, for under $60 a night, this is a good stay

5 hours for nearly every room to get checked in The staff seemed confused about who had/had not checked in and relied on a spreadsheet THAT WE CREATED in order to keep them organized For a “new/top class” hotel, their technology literacy could really use improvementTwo weeks later, we are dealing with incorrect charges on cards, higher than promised rates, confusion over guests’ names and their room charges, and staff who continue to pass us around and follow up with high-level details instead of taking the time to investigate what went wrong on their end We were considering this space for a wedding venue, but the utter frustration we have faced since has quickly ruled this place outThe hotel directs guests to a $10 / night overnight parking garage that takes forever to get out of The signage to get in and out of this hotel is unclear and there do not appear to be any plans to change it The hotel clearly relies on business travelers and knows itFinally, as of 6/16/22, we were offered the equivalent of one night free as compensation for our troubles We gave them 30 nights worth of business Will never come back nor recommend this place to anyone – wedding, regular stay, anything This has turned me off the Hyatt brand for personal use

The hotel was nothing short of excellent The hospitality was amazing I stayed here for my birthday weekend and the front desk hostess, Catherine was amazing! She paid attention to every detail of my request and made sure that my needs were catered for

I had the King room with a view of the city And it was just gorgeous The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was equally up to par and scrumptious! It’s a gorgeous property that I would definitely revisit anytime I’m in Tysons

The room was fine but it is a ‘pet friendly’ hotel which apparently means you can bring your dog to stay with you, leave it in the room and go out and party all night while it sits in the room alone howling Unbelievable! Good luck sleepingWho knows when the adjoining restaurant opens on a Sunday morning? Nearest place open at 7am for breakfast was Silver Diner a mile away

It was fantastic!

A nice hotel staff polite and friendly check in quick and easyThe location even though your near too Richmond airport it’s still a quieter location there are restaurants that are walkable etcThe room modern spacious wood floors and ceramic in the bathroom I do find in a hotel carpets seem to be overrated

You do have a outside pool which I got there late and didn’t useBreakfast was great full service breakfast with hot food everything you needed they haveAll in all a good all round service look forward on going back

The staff was very polite and helpful which normally would get four stars The location to the venue we attended was greatUnfortunately there was no mention the pool would not be open (which was the main reason our family as well as two other families stayed at this hotel

) Having to explain to grand-children why they can’t use the pool was not something we should have had to deal with The breakfast was also a disappointment The powdered eggs were terrible and the sausage was not too good either The remaining choices were iffy at bestAs for the room, it was nice and clean The water pressure in the shower however was non existent It took three times longer and a considerable amount more water to rinse off than any normal shower should

Great hotel and great staff I stayed at this hotel with my family for three days and it was a great experience The location is excellent with all the restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance

The breakfast has great options and “Dave” runs the breakfast area like his own kitchen Thanks Residence Inn for this great experience! Will definitely be back for future stays!

Good location that is connected to a nice shopping area with a movie theater, Starbucks, multiple restaurants, a tailor, barbershop and more They do not have balcony’s or any individual outdoor spaced for the room, but there is a sitting area outside The pool was broken throughout the entire stay

The room was spacious, the shower head needed some attention

We stayed here for 6 months while our house was being built To be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to it – a very small space with two dogs and lots of neighbors didn’t sound all that great to me I was VERY pleasantly surprised! The amenities here are very good, and the staff works hard to keep them that way

The take-away breakfast was always a welcome way to start the day, and the staff keeps freshly-brewed coffee in the lobby all day The housekeeping staff does a great job keeping the common areas clean, and the hotel management goes above and beyond in making the guests feel welcome The housekeeper assigned to our room was careful to use pet-friendly cleaning products, which was such a nice touch The laundry facility was kept clean, and I never had a problem finding a washer/dryer available when I needed itWe have two dogs, and the adjacent dog park was a fast favorite The park is well-kept, good supplies on hand, and nicely wooded The other amenities, including outdoor grills, fully-stocked in-room kitchen, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, etc, made everything feel as close to home as we could have hoped!I found this to be a reasonably-priced, good-value extended stay around the Aquia Harbor area (and there are several choices), and I heartily recommend this location to everyone!

I’d give this place a 45 stars We only stayed one night but as for the room, I told my wife this is the first time I had no suggestions on how they could make it better

The bed was comfortable The bathroom and sleeping area was clean It was very nice The front desk people were very helpful My only complaint is no hot breakfast They have a grab-n-go which doesn’t work well especially if you get the hot cakes because there are no plates to warm them up on and add syrup If they had a hot breakfast, it would easily be 5 stars

I live locally, off grid, in a travel trailer, while building our home Been doing it for 6 months and occasionally need a break with a full-sized shower with more than 5 minutes of hot water After back-to-back snow storms, my lot is a mud pit

I had a mental break down this morning and booked a hotel room to decompress I looked at all the reviews for local hotels and what sold me on this place was not only their superior reviews, but the comebacks from whoever is responding That person had me rolling, they are hilarious and so well written, I think they should be printed out and hung up around the lobby This is a nice place It’s an extended stay, the rooms are well sized, and it’s very clean The property is a little older, but they have kept up well on maintenance The hotel room is saving me from having an all out breakdown and ending up in the news I appreciate it and thank you for the thoughtful and entertaining responses I always trust somebody that can utilize the English language

The staff was awesome Ms Michelle (Night Shift Desk Manager) stepped in to help us out with reservation and billing issues at the sister hotel

Sister hotel near park had overbooked and moved us to the Comfort Inn The first hotel staff were uncaring and didn’t even provide directions I had to ask for an addressOnce at the Comfort Inn, I was met by Ms Michelle She listened and worked with her General Manager to address the issuesDay Shift Manager was very nice and he checked on us every time he saw usFor families- this is the perfect hotel Very quiet and clean hotel away from the large groups on buses They don’t tolerate out of control guestThe Comfort Inn provided easy access to restaurants in one block (Cracker Barrel, Jose Tequilas Mexican Restaurant) and 10-15 min drive to shopping centers (Marshall’s, etc)Thank you Ms Michelle and Comfort Inn staff for making our 3 day stay so enjoyable after spending all day at the parks As a single parent – we felt safe and welcomed We will be back

We had a great stay here this past weekend! For the price we paid (significantly cheaper than many surrounding hotels), this hotel is beautiful and newly redone The decor was new and the room was clean The beds were also very comfortable

Our room was close to the stairs on the second floor but it was pretty quiet overall which was a pleasant surpriseThe breakfast service was ok, nothing special but it did the job The outdoor pool was very refreshing after a morning of sightseeing! We would definitely stay here again!

Sarah Nock

Room was real nice and very updated The only reason for the 4 stars was the room had an item left in front of the night stand on the floor when we checked in Staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay

The lady that checked us in at night was extremely nice ,she was also working the breakfast the next morning The pool wasn’t always clean out with lots of leaves floating in it The location was perfect for going to area attractions Overall definitely recommend this place
