Great staff and location Nice decorRooms need better lighting in bathroom, it’s too dim Would be nice to have a microwave on the room to reheat coffee, that’s just a personal preference

The sitting area could use a mirror as well Last time ate at the restaurant food was great Last night, not so much and server needs to be on it better Had to go up to her while she was chatting with hostess The place was pretty empty Also found the A/C lacking I love the location but they need to up their game for the prices the charge

Valerie Tucciarone

Had a great stay! All the staff from the restaurant/bar to the front desk and housekeeping were fantasticWould’ve liked to see some more options on-site for dining but there were plenty of places nearby to eat so it was all goodThe rooms were great! Lighting was a little strange as the nightstand lighting couldn’t be turned on without the overhead lights

The hallways looked like they could use a little love but that’s really nitpicking as I had an amazing stayWould DEF stay again!

My husband and I reserved a hotel room for Valentine’s Day We were excited to have some time to ourselves There was an option on the website that included breakfast and parking in addition to the room

It cost more money but we wanted to make it easy so we paid the additional fee The price came to 28238 with tax The hotel lobby was nice and we did eat in the restaurant downstairs which was excellent It was refreshing to see a hotel use local businesses to serve food and coffee Our room however was messy and there was a huge crack with a hole in the ceiling above our shower The bed was comfortable and my husband and I both slept well The next morning my husband went downstairs to get our breakfast and was told that we did not pay for breakfast and there was no such deal they provided He came back to the room frustrated so I called and spoke with a manager who said no we did not pay for breakfast or parking I told her I had the email proving we did pay for the additional services After clacking away at her keys she then stated that yes we had paid for breakfast and parking My husband went back downstairs and ordered our breakfast which was even better than our dinner the night before The food at least was delicious When we went to check out I asked the hotel clerk specifically if my card had been charged anything additional He assured me it had not, checked us out and emailed a copy of my receipt Imagine my surprise when I looked at the receipt and the total was 33038 ( they had charged us again for breakfast and parking) even after they said no additional charges I went back inside and showed them my email that proved parking and breakfast were included and had been paid for They refunded the 4800 and sent me a new receipt that totaled 28238 Tonight I was checking my credit card statement and guess what, I had 2 charges from hotel indigo One for 4800 and one for 33038 They did refund the 4800 charge but the room charge was still 33038 and should have been 28238 Basically they charged us for breakfast and parking 3 times I have disputed this charge with my credit card company and wanted to write a review that we would never be staying at this hotel again They were dishonest from the start, I say this because when we checked in I told the clerk that we had a package deal including parking and breakfast, he just kind of nodded but never gave us the vouchers to get the additional services If we had not checked our bill and credit card statement we would have been charged multiple times for something we already paid for I feel like this is a scam, charge your guest and if you get caught say sorry but if you don’t get caught then you’ve made extra money If you stay at this hotel eye your bill closely for additional charges including your statement several days later I bet they are making a killing by double and triple charging their guests

The hotel lobby and rooms are modern, clean, and in good repair The beds and duvet were quite comfortable The front desk staff was pleasant

The digital key in the Hilton app on my phone worked well The breakfast is as described online: fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice assortment, hot and cold cereals, toast, bagels, muffins and danish, make your own waffles, hot eggs, breakfast meat and potatoes All were tasty and fresh We weren’t able to try the pool as it was posted as out of service The only issues we had were that the in-room fridge did not work When we called to report it, we were told someone would come up to look at it 6 hours later, and nothing had been done so we had to call again This ended up being late at night when we returned to our room, so it delayed everyone from showering and getting to bed After the second call, someone did arrive to see to the problem and get us a working fridge The other issue was that there was only a partial roll of toilet tissue in place, which ran out quickly, and there was no extra stocked in the room (Thank heavens for tissues!) We had to call to request one extra roll of paper so it would be ready before the next person in our group needed it That is certainly a standard item that should be stocked in a room

Decent experience but not outstanding They closed down the breakfast area early even though guests were coming in to the area trying to grab something Room was clean enough but flooring needed some attention

Pool definitely needed a cleaning We travel a lot and and stay only at Hilton since we are diamond status I would not stay at this location again

Kiplynn Jordan

This hotel was the worst! The first room showed that the sheets had not been changed and it smelled like mildew Then we were moved to a second then a third room Both smelled terrible of mildew

It was such a terrible experience that I would have rather slept in my car I do not recommend this hotel at all It needs to be torn down My skin is still itching from the exposure of mildew

Very very disappointing I asked then to clean the shower and let them know how disappointed I was in the rooms cleanliness I came back from work the same day and still the same

I even called to remind them to please make sure it gets cleaned Then the guy at the counter when I mentioned it to him said “well you’ll just have to wait till tomorrow” After I checked out and got one hour down the road I called the hotel and asked them if they would put my brand-new $300 shoes up for me until I came back the following week They told me they did not find any shoes in the room And I know exactly where I left them This place will steal from you when you are not looking A bunch of thievesI will never stay at this place again Matter fact I may cancel my Hilton honors account because of this Nobody wants to shower in a nasty shower and I expected better customer service Will def not be coming back to this hotel

We were guest at the Hampton Inn from Thursday, June 16 through June 19 We arrived just after 10 PM on the 16th so we really couldn’t see the facilities When we woke up that morning headed down to the continental breakfast and realize that the hotel was under some type of renovation

While I check in we were not informed that the pool was out of order or told that they were running low on towels and hygiene essentials etc because of previous experiences in different hotels we always bring our own stuff and this time we were glad we had it The breakfast was cold almost looked like it was reheated and there was barely an option for guest with different food allergies The beds are extremely uncomfortable and feel very old like they have never been replaced In our room we had a king size bed and in the middle of the The mattress was a huge bump that easily told us that this bed had not been replaced for many years The pull out couch was just as bad or even worse of a condition When we decided to open it for out child we noticed that the head rest and back has never been clean or dusted The mattress inside the pull out couch was old and would not be appropriate for anyone over the age of five to sleep on because you could feel the springs and the material was just old We asked about getting a pillow for our child and they told us we already had 4 pillows that would be sufficient Let’s not talk about the co dictions of the pillows They were absolutely horrible and the size was probably for toddlers The next day We inquired about the conference room in order to have a team bonding dinner and once again we were told it was under renovation and cannot be utilized The second day I went back and I asked about laundry services and at this time all I was being instructed to do was to cross over to their sister hotel home woods suites Needless to say We are extremely dissatisfied We should have been informed of the conditions of the hotel especially having no pool access when the temperatures were extremely high and when you travel with children that’s the one thing they look forward too When I addressed the manager Cassandra of course she blamed it on the IT department for not updating the website Still she didn’t want to talk about my concerns and said the best she Could do was to talk to the sister hotel next door and for us to be allowed to use their Amenities I can truly say that this will be the last time that we will stay at this hotel for any future travels in that area which we will be doing a lot during the next year

I can’t say enough about this hotel! I just had a c-section 3 days ago and my baby got moved to Tallahassee hospital in the nicu so we got this hotel to be close to her, they seen me walking in and immediately asked if I was okay I told them what was going on and they got me a room close as possible so I wouldn’t have to walk far and gave me one with a handicapped shower so I could get in and out easier, they checked on me and were just so so sweet Please please stay at this hotel! The rooms were really pretty too and roomy and very clean! Great breakfast and lots of complimentary snacks and even meals for you to purchase that aren’t too pricey! They have definitely made my life in this hard time a little easier!

Busy place, staff was nice but seemed to have a hard time keeping facilities cleaned up after guest on common areas My one complaint way that every time I went to the fitness room there were three to five unsupervised children (minors) in the fitness room running amok It was very hard to get a workout done with kids acting the fool and misusing equipment

Breakfast was great

DM V

Stayed here to attend a funeral service The place was very clean outside and inside Front desk very friendly and informative

Room was very clean but had nasty musty smell due to carpet being soaked, we put the ac on dry and the next morning carpet was dry Owners may want to consider removing the carpet everywhere, it may save them lots of money from mold, the pool is very popular but sadly guests don’t care for drying themselves before entering getting carpet wet all over the place and making the rooms unhealthy

I wish that I had more photos to post Our overnight business trip began with the exceptional check in service we received from the front desk team Next, we headed up to happy hour where the bar tender and one of the hotel managers greeted us to make sure all was well

The exceptional service continued as we dined at Shula’s where are server made excellent recommendations and didn’t skip a beat She The following morning, I witnessed something rare During my treadmill run, I noticed a manager (the suit was a give away) carrying towels into the fitness center, he proceeded to fold the towels and replenish the bottled water for guests I typically see house keeping taking care of these duties I am a firm believer that exceptional business operations & execution starts at the top I can’t remember the last time I had a customer service experience where there entire team upheld the same 5 star standard This will be my company’s hotel of choice during each Tallahassee trip

The hotel needs some attention to detail; it was not up to a DoubleTree standard and not a good value for the room rate The hotel had a number of flaws that could be easily fixed with touch-up paint or cleaning The parking deck was difficult to navigate

On the positive side, there were plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance, and the hotel staff was very gracious I am likely to stay at another hotel in the future

Jovanna Figueroa

I loved this hotel! The design in black and white with a mix of modern and vintage style mixed beautifully It immediately reminds you of Alice in Wonderland The customer service was THE BEST! From when we arrived the front desk employee was incredibly sweet and friendly

The room we took unfortunately had an AC that wouldn’t go past 76° so we called the front desk and they sent a gentleman up in less than 5 mins They changed our room quickly and the gentleman was so polite and professional The rooftop bar also had great service I highly recommend this hotel

EatNails

Absolutely horrible experience We rented, in advance, a room with 2 beds The room we got had one bed, along with a ‘sorry that’s all we have’

The air conditioner in the room sounded like a washing machine, all night The pillows were flat like pancakesThe room adjoining room was filled with teenagers, who repeatedly tried to come through the connecting door, and figured they might as well partyThere is absolutely nothing around this hotel within walking distance Obviously that isn’t the fault of the hotel, but you should be prepared to drive if you want anything at all Even the sole vending machine in the hotel is ancient, only taking quarters So come prepared, or get nothing

I made a reservation for my daughters graduation from 4-28 to 4-30 and my reservations states that I had until 4-26-22 to cancel but, the hotel decided to charge my for the whole hotel stay because they said it graduation weekend and they want the money before you even arrive to the hotel Rachel the hotel manager was very rude, and said if she gave me a refund she will have to cancel the reservation Wait, my reservation said I will not be charged until I check in!

Hotels want to take advantage of people because of graduation, if it wasn’t for these events they will not survive in this little town

Cleanliness is definitely lacking here From dog hair on the sheets and the floor, human hair on the towels and bathtub, walls and mirrors not wiped down, stains on sheets

There was also a spider on my bed There was no availability elsewhere and after working and travelling all day, I didn’t request a different room (which I doubt would be better or available anyways as they were booked online) The carpets need cleaned and this bed needed replaced as you can see it has sunken in on the left side (viewing) The rooms and ceilings are not sound proofed at all, you can hear everything The front desk staff were great at check-in though Edit, I didn’t stay here more than a few hours, I tried But the dog hair caused an allergic reaction for me, so I left and ended up sleeping in my car at a rest area The front desk (different than check-in) stated, “well we are pet friendly” Pet friendly does not mean, we have an excuse not to clean the rooms, to include the sheets that had dog hair too In fact, not only does this tell me you hardly vacuum your floors, but you don’t shampoo the carpets which should be done after every pet stay The fact that I didn’t get refunded, is infuriating and I am going to contact IHG about it

This place is the second best hotel I have ever stayed in The parking is plentiful, the hotel is clean, the humidity is low, beds are comfortable, the bathroom is really nice and the shower is great The breakfast is the best I’ve had

So many choices there is no way someone can’t find something they like The reason why it’s the second best is because the top choice had fruit infused water in the lobby and this hotel only has plain, chilled water (still good though) 10/10 would definitely recommend

Angela Thompson

Great place!!Very conscious of health & safetyI had no hot water on my last 24 hours and had to plunge my own toilet when a child overloaded it with paper And that is why I rated lower than I usually would

And side note: Fairfield/ Marriott, PLEASE change your powdered eggs and gross sausage patties for breakfast!! Try it & you’ll agree

The check in was slow and frustrating

the charge machine kept charging my card but reportedly kept declining Had me worried that so far from homeThe staff was super friendly and very helpfulThe room was not as clean as I expect from Marriott

The rooms are absolutely disgusting The showers are caked up with dirt trapped under bath mats that were probably there in 1994 When I first arrived I checked into a room with no remote

I was informed to get a remote I would need to change rooms Then I pull back the covers to find black hairs and stains all in the bedding We managed to find a way to put our own blankets on top of the others because we were so tired after coming in late Early the next morning I realized that the bathroom floor was covered with urine and who knows what else When I went downstairs a nasty girl Olivia treated me horribly in front of the other guests and said if I’d stayed another night she might switch me rooms but because I’m only here today there’s nothing she can do about it The resolution I received was “I’ll tell the housekeeper to do a better job next time” I called corporate and made reference to the IHG clean promise After an hour of haggling the nice customer service agent was finally able to get the manager to go down by 25% on the $150 rate that I had just paid Then I went to the lobby to get coffee which was also disgusting and overheard another guest telling the manager the same thing about how his sheets were stained and his room was nasty and no one would help him I jumped in to share his frustration after watching the assistant manager stand there with a blank look on his face for 30 minutes while this customer asked him what he was going to do about the situation That customer was actually lucky to get $50 back on his ridiculous stay This hotel should not be allowed to carry the Holiday Inn brand BUYER BEWARE!!!!

There were two handles to turn the shower on and one of them was so poorly installed it felt like it was gonna fall out of the wall Wallpaper was bubbling, peeling, and stained The AC didn’t work properly and was very humid in the room Everything felt damp, the sheets, the blankets and the carpet Stuff was just broken, the TV stand was cracked with the metal base exposed in several spots, the toilet paper roll holder was so loose and separating from the wall There was missing tile base boards in the bathroom A lot of little things It was difficult to sleep well

The hotel lobby is lovely but it ends when you go to your room Our shower was not clean – my husband found globs of hair not just one strand The furniture was dirty and the bed was not comfortable

Walls were thin like others mentioned On the positive side, the staff was very accommodating and friendly The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast nothing special

Ugh! I wish I had read these reviews before I booked We were staying in Tallahassee and needed a hotel that accepted pets As an Honors member, I just booked it

My experience was as other reviewers had mentioned The room didn’t feel clean The shower had muck in it, the front of the dishwasher was dirty, the room had a funky smell Items in the room were damaged, the carpet was coming up, the window treatment was tornBased upon my experience and other reviews – it makes you wonder what the $75 “pet cleaning fee” goes towardI agree with others the walls are so thin you can hear everything in your roomOn the positive, the staff was friendly, the room was large, and the hotel is in a good location

Just got back from the Hyatt House Tallahassee Capitol- University and it was the best hotel experience I have had in Tallahassee in my 15+ years of traveling in town The staff- everyone, is exceptional The rooms were very clean and had great amenities

The gym and pool were amazing The location was awesome The bar was awesome- the two bartenders who helped us all (a large group)- thank you! I left and ended up leaving a few items and everyone I have spoken to has been beyond helpful in getting back to me This is now my choice hotel when I go back Thank you ALL!

Place is beautiful! Well done! The 2 ladies who cook breakfast are freaking amazing! They wanted to know about our day and if we enjoyed our stay and they felt like genuine nice people who cared about us True southern hospitality Rooms were clean and tidy

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because, we didn’t arrive until 1130 PM on 2/4/2022 You have to ring the doorbell to get in that late The girl that was working that night was passed out in the lobby A guest heard us and let us in, I had to ask the woman to give us our room She was obviously bothered I needed a room key to a room I already booked and paid for She was rude, short, and didn’t like the fact that I woke her up from her nap

hotel is very clean, cute, and in a great location the arts district is perfect to walk around and find delicious food the pool was the perfect size and the PERFECT temperature- could have stayed just on the grounds and around the neighborhood for my whole weekend! I had originally booked through a third party agency and had a slight snafu at check in when adding an additional night, however everyone I interacted with at the desk was very pleasant and helped me get exactly what I needed

I will definitely stay here again!

Booked hotel last min, got in pretty late Check in was a breeze Lobby was clean

Room was very nice Clean, comfortable and pretty spacious Bathroom was updated, the barn door with glass was cute but you could still the silhouette of person and the light at night could bother a light sleeper Did not participate in breakfast but check out easy and employees were very friendly

By far the best breakfast out of any spring hill suites we have been to Also the workout area had cardio equipment AND weights with benches The pool area was well maintained and a good size

This is one of the best Spring Hill suites we have stayed at!! The front desk even have some dog treats for our pup! So many shopping and eating options within walking distance as well (You can see most of them from the parking lot) If we are ever back in the area, we will be staying here!

We started staying here right after it opened on our trips to visit family and friends due to its central location on the north side of Tallahassee However, the quality of the rooms and overall hotel continues to decrease The carpet in the hallways is stained and dirty, tile in the bathroom needed a good scrubbing, the reading light by the bed didn’t work, the phone didn’t work and we lost internet streaming capability

Staff was informed of the non working items Their response: 1 reading light requires complete new part as the light is a single unit – no bulb or spare unit available; 2 phones were out in half of the hotel and phone company notified (3 days with no room phone); and streaming service typically goes out during rain storms and staff has no idea cause or how to fix issue Well folks, this is Florida and it rains most ever afternoon during the summer One would think management would have found a solution to the intermittent outage but no!This will be our last stay at this hotel A shame as its location was excellent but at today’s prices one expects a functioning hotel of this quality to provide all advertised amenities and services

The location is superb The place still looks good Just a great sleep, comfortable beds

I did notice some smokers residual evidence The tub had cigarette burns, and I notified management of this They assured me they take pleasure in holding smokers responsible If you smoke go outside, or find you a hotel you can smoke, no excuses Good job Sleep Inn and Suites Tallahassee crew

I stayed here for 2 nights recently and overall, for the price, I was happy with my visitThe staff was all very friendly and helpful The room was nice, clean, and odor free

The hallways do have an odd odor to them as others have posted They use air fresheners to cover it up, but it’s there My room didn’t have hot water the one day The breakfast included is cereal or a microwave breakfast burrito, as long as you’re good with that, you’ve got food

Enjoyed our stay here Staff was nice and helpful The room was surprisingly pleasant and beds were comfortable

Pillows were a tad weird – smaller and square Good shower and bathroom Breakfast was less than desirable – need more options and better quality Coffee was awful Hotel could use some updating and brightening, but we did like our stay Pool was excellent Gym was good for a hotel You can walk to Waffle House and Walmart and the nearby Seafood restaurant was good

An older property with minimal lighting in the smallish parking lot No air conditioning in the common areas! The hallways registered 86 degrees & the one, slow, elevator had to be in the 90’s in the evening The room’s a/c was loud & ineffective

An 80 degree room for $140 is unacceptable The smell of pot smoke was strong in the hallway The treadmill was broken Breakfast was pretty good & the staff very courteous I will add, in response to the hotel’s comments: My review was not meant as a “slam” on the hotel but merely as guidance to others who like us have to make a lodging choice while driving the backroads of America Our visit was on June 21st, 2022, day 2 of 14 on the road My temperature readings were from your own digital thermostats located near the elevator Have a great day
