#615!!!In all the years that we have rented properties at the beach we have always had little or no contact with the owner This owner was very active and attentive and made it easy to get in and get out The Condo is very nice, the kitchen is well equipped, the furniture clean and comfortable

Easy beach access Nice walking distance to the village area where there are fun bars, restaurants and groceriesA ‘can’t miss’ place!

Oliver Warne

This was a great place to stay for a Beach vacationThe building is directly on the waterfront, and our room had a view of the beachThere is an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, an outdoor lazy river, and two hot tubs

You also have access to the beach directly from the pool area The pool area also has a bar that serves food, beer, cocktails The condos have a kitchen, covered parking in a safe garage, and patiosThe beach here is so perfect! Soft sand, warm water, and big fun waves! This is in North Myrtle Beach which is much quieter and cleaner than regular Myrtle beach The hotel is within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops including some that you can walk to along the beach

Very nice room, great space, very good view of the golf course They were not too pushy on the condo presentation, but they will try of course Very nice people at check-in

The only issue to mention is that if you are sensitive to noise you likely will hear the walking of anyone above if you are not on the top floor This surprised us and was a bit annoying after a while Not the fault of those above us either The floors just transmit a lot of noise The walls are slightly better but not great either

The room was not very clean, all appliances and kitchenette were available My child’s feet were dirty from walking in the room for a while The balcony is small

Both bathtubs were dirty There was old popcorn lying around on the floorA few steps from the beach Great!BUT watch out if you complain about noisy movies in the pool area playing at around 11 pm, the front desk suddenly loses the remote control over the volume You can hear this movie from the moon Why??? There were 2 people in the pool watching it They decided to please those two people and annoy the majority of the clientele We have one year old and I was afraid the whole time he will be woken up I thought this was supposed to be a family friendly place Also, why aren’t there blackout blinds in all rooms? What if one of the guests wants to get a good nap? Also, outdoor pools are kind of gross Kiddie pool had garbage in it Literally garbage It was so gross My complaint also refers to customers Guys remove your garbage, be respectful to a place where you stay Let’s not be pigs The indoor pool was okayIt is absolutely ridiculous when staff take complaints personally You need to separate your personal and professional life I am NOT calling to complain about your personality, I am complaining about the noise that doesn’t let my family go to bed early and get some freaking rest This is supposed to be a vacation I don’t recommend it to anyone who wants to deal with staff and management who simply don’t understand the simple principles of getting a good night’s sleep for their GUESTS!!!Disappointed for a highly rated hotel

Really loved everything about the Prince Resort My sisters and I took a weekend 2 might 3 day stay in N Myrtle Beach We had fresh seafood dinner at a nearby restaurant and a Dolphin boat tour

I would recommend the Prince Resort to everyone There was a private wedding on the beach that I could see from my suite The private reception in the restaurant wasn’t inconvenient for us because the food at the dock bar was awesome I will definitely return 💯❤️❤️

A.N. W

Room was amazing, service was excellent Loved that you could text the staff with questions The only minor complaint is the parking deck

It’s so extremely narrow and half the levels were missing mirrors or they were dirty so you couldn’t see around well Plus you had to go up to level 3 because the first two levels were for city parking Other than that, we had a fantastic time! Convenient to attractions

Brittany Dietz

Very nice location as far as being right there on the pier and near a lot of nice restaurants and shops Our room had a stale/unpleasant smell that airing out even didn’t seem to fix Looks like small updates have been made here and there for the rooms but still a mix of newer and dated

Loved the giant soaking tub Not our favorite stay but worth considering again

I was looking for somewhere to stay but I wasn’t paying the high prices I found online so I decided to wait until I got on the beach before getting a hotel Several other places I called did not answer All I needed was a clean place to lay my head for 4 days, 3 nights

He accommodated me even though it meant switching rooms after the 2nd night I was okay with thatThe outside is a little dated but the rooms were really nice, had a kitchen and a few pots and silverware I needed to cook a meal The hotel is right across from the beach and has a nice size pool All I like to do is float so it worked for me The owner was extremely accommodating and even called to let me check in early since he knew I had been driving all night The price I paid was less than 2 days at other hotels If I ever come to this area again, he would be the first person I calledSide note: I hope whoever stayed in room 1 the week through August 8 sees this You should be ashamed of yourself! That is a vast understatement I saw the room as they were cleaning it and having to throw everything away A week’s worth of food all over the bed, open cans of dog food with forks in it and smoking Disgusting doesn’t even begin to describe how you left that room I’m sure he lost money cleaning up the horrific mess you made

Rooms were great, spacious and cleanThe kitchen was nice but no as well stocked as others we have visited Twin beds in the second bedroom would have been nice for grandson and granddaughter, but was able to use sofa bed

Plenty of linens and washer/ dryer were great Location was very convenient to all the activities and restaurants

Erin Crissman

We have been staying at Westwinds since the building opened over 30 years ago They keep the rooms and furnishings in good condition They offer great activities for adults (Wine/Margarita hour) and kids crafts and activities

We love the Water Fitness class in the morning The staff is always very friendly and offered us great restaurant suggestions! The best part is the beach here is relatively uncrowded compared to other areas with large high rise hotels This is off the beaten path but still just a couple of miles from Barefoot Landing Always look forward to our week here!

Bennie Dowty

The resort is generally nice But it parking is impossible with the current constructionI see the reply from Westwinds but no way to reply

You state if there is anything else we can do for you What you can do is “Unblock” some of the spots held from the construction crew – You have a parking issue created by the construction

We are currently here for 2 weeks, we have been staying for a few years now, absolutely love housekeeping, these ladies rock I see them coming in each morning singing and smiling Just a great well rounded staff

It’s a pleasure seeing them each morning and the mood is set for the day Very upbeat and give you the feeling they are happy to be here I have to admit I was nervous about our stay when I heard the property has sold, and at check in was a little ruff, but texting and emailing fixed the issues almost instantly We have 5 other rooms with family coming in next week We enjoy the family feeling of this place please please don’t change thatrooms are clean and always well stocked with everything you need Conveniently located to everything and we are on the beach Welcome to the new owners and wishing you much success

Ashley H

Me and my family have stayed here many times over the years and enjoyed our stay every time I wish I could go again sometime soon! Its right near groceries, ice cream place, souvenirs, and a lovely bookshop down the road I hope is still there now Its such a nice time! The pool was very clean and we watched Dolphins from the balcony in the morning

The only somewhat negative anything we’ve had happen was one year the previous family before us soaked the carpet in the front of the room, i assume after swimming Not really much to be done but wait for it to dry so we didnt say anything at the time I always wear sandals in motels/hotels anyway If memory serves me correctly I think one year we were accidentally given a smoking room instead of non smoking one year and I believe we were given a different room upon telling them Ive never had any big problems Its always been a good time! I wish I was there now haha

Chris Mcpeck

It use to be a great place to stay But we book a room back in may at bike week We have stayed there over 7 yrs

It was the best cheap place to stay in the beach Needed work But what place didn’t now that Tracy sold it You have to book on line They say they can’t find are booking And now want over $550 for 3 days this is just worng We never payed over that much unless we stayed for a week They will lose so much bissness if these prices keep like this Am done with this place It’s not the Ritz motel It’s a mom And pop motel good luck

We checked out early Our first room smelled horrible and there was a piece of gauze on the floor when we walked in The front desk helped us change rooms

Our second room smelled fine and could have been really nice but it just wasn’t well taken care of The bathroom grout was dirty in over 80% of the bathroom, shower, and entryway There was dry rot or decay along the baseboards In the shower, the sealant along the glass door either had excessive dirt build up or mold The sink handles had weird stains It could have been wonderful but it’s just not well cleaned or cared for

Tina Phillips

My family really enjoyed our vacation at this hotel We had to reserve this place on the spare moment Andre Grate and all staff we had encountered were pleasant! The breakfast was delicious and the lady who had made preparations for breakfast was such an amazing woman

We had used the laundry facility and it was clean and affordable Thank you Hampton!

A big thanks to Janice who is the overnight staff that graciously accommodated me during a crisis of being stranded in a town at 3AM I couldn’t get my flight changed and had no where to go I was able to sleep comfortably, clear my head and sit on the balcony and gain some peace watching the ocean

I traveled from Florida to Little River, SC with my elderly parents and THREE small dogs which is no easy feat The hotel was perfect! The property was in a great location, it was clean and very inviting The room was spacious and comfortable

The shower entry with the glass door was extremely narrow (great for skinny folk) and we only wish we had the balcony to enjoy the view but we had a pet room so it didn’t work out Breakfast was great, no pancakes or waffles though, which oddly is what I always want when I travel but so much other good stuff to choose from All of the staff were friendly and helpful Bianca at the front desk really stood out for me She was a gem! She is definitely an asset to the company Bianca made us feel very welcome and always greeted us when we came in We had some key issues a lot and it was always handles with a smile Again, EVERYONE was awesome but she was a star and a treat to see each evening

Darlene Donnelly

I would have given a four to this place if I didn’t understand the difficulty of getting good help My first morning, I had no towels or washcloths The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable

The pillows were like small clouds I had to overlook that towel mistake The breakfast the first morning was substandard for Holiday Inn Express They were out of milk, bagels and some other thing The attendant was attentive and the view was spectacular Breakfast was wonderful yesterday I know that getting consistency can be difficult when no shipments arrive The young ladies who worked in the morning need training on customer service I speak to everyone They not only didn’t want to make eye contact, they didn’t smile once One laughed on the phone when I told her I got out of the shower and had no towel It wasn’t funny at 6:30am and still isn’t The main reason I still gave a five star rating is Ashley Cooper She worked the evenings I stayed She was helpful, engaging, pleasant and I appreciated her kind demeanor She represents Holiday Inn’s belief in providing excellent customer service She never fell short

Beverly Mullen

We stayed 4 nights in a pet friendly room with our kids and our small dog – beds were comfy, showers were hot, location was 20-30 minutes from all the busyness of North Myrtle Beach/Myrtle Beach, hot free breakfast, friendly staff, nice view of the harbor The reason for 4/5 stars is because upon entering our room after check-in, there was a strong sour milk smell near the fridge/microwave area We let the guy at check-in know about it and he was able to give us a deodorizing spray to use

We only noticed the smell upon entering and exiting the room, if it would have been in the area with the beds we definitely would have requested getting another room, but with us having a dog we knew it would probably be difficult as there are only so many pet friendly rooms At check-out I did let the lady know of the issue so housekeeping could move the fridge/microwave to figure out where it was coming from so the next guest doesn’t have the same issue Although I wasn’t expecting any compensation, she did give us credit and we are grateful for her listening to our concerns Overall, we did enjoy our stay and would stay again if we ever come back to the area!

My family has stayed here twice before and we really enjoyed it Last year I had my 2 small children and elderly mother with me and it was perfect for everyone She loved being able to watch us at the pool from the balcony and the kids loved all of the pool options

Staff was friendly and accommodating Room was very nice and clean We are looking forward to staying again 2 more times this spring! 🙂

Melanie, Kim, and Kathy made my stay here so worth it! The whole staff made me feel so safe and everyone that works here is amazing! Excellent service and gorgeous views on the beach I highly recommend staying here, not only for the beauty, but the friendliness from the staff! Absolutely nicest staff I have ever met in my entire life! Highly recommend staying here with friends and family 🙂

Concierge talking a million miles an hour to get you to watch a sales pitch presentation is off putting when I just wanted to ask a questionOtherwise a nice stay Friendly staff

Good value for money if you use the facilities (gym/pool/lazy river/hot tub/cocktail lounge) which we did Decent breakfast buffet, not the best I’ve ever had but not bad, and a good selection of fresh fruit which was great The beach is easily accessible, clean and beautiful

Very disappointed in this place Used Capital Resort Club points (a very large amount of points, I might add) and did not check into the type of room that was promised No king bed, no ocean front unit, and no full kitchen

This was after calling twice to verify accommodations Expressed my concerns to front desk – no satisfaction Called Capital Guess what their response was They asked if I talked with the front desk to correct things? Don’t know whether to blame Capital or Seaside Resort, but someone pulled a fast one on us Very upsetting to a 70+ year old couple that feels like we’ve been taken advantage of Won’t be back!

Let me start off positive, your front desk people were excellent, polite and helpful The bathroom in 1904 was good That’s it

The room smelled of fried food, neighbor on the left had many kids making a lot of noise up until 11:30pm with room door opening and slamming closed Neighbor on right must be an owner because the dog barked constantly We have stayed at Bay Watch 5 times and this was definitely the last Facility needs a serious upgrade Could not in good conscience recommend to anyoneKim Allen

We arrive on a Sunday morning After a 4 hour drive they manage to “finish cleaning early” We walk in the room floors are still wet and it is hot in the room

We change the temperature for hopes it would feel better and it did We all leave the room and continue on our day Mind you it is 8 of us in a 2 bedroom room On the first night I wake up to a bed bug on the couch next to me full of blood since we killed it We report it and they say they must wait for a manager The manager calls hours later and says we have a bug guy coming to investigate He says if he finds another one we will go from there Needless to say he find another bed bug on the back of the chair so I walk with him to the front desk At the front desk the lady doesn’t act shocked she asks if it is enough to lock the room and the man says no it is a negative room when we have the proof of both dead bugs We were never able to speak to a manager the entire stay we were there But the lady offered us either a smaller room or half a nights payment back Mind you we payed 500+ dollars a night for 4 nights and get 200 back for catching bed bugs So I ask her again is there anything better we can do and she then says no, if we find another bed bug we will be asked to leave Our ac leaked water on the floors, and the hallways and elevators reeked of trash no matter where you were Overall the stay was not worth the 500 dollars a night when my family could’ve stayed at a motel 6 and drove to the beach everyday

Great place to stay Not too far from the Myrtle Beach strip/boardwalk; but far enough to avoid major traffic and backlog The hotel was very clean and comfortable

The pool area is well kept, and the private beach is wonderful as well, with minimal crowding and plenty of space We stayed July 4th week and there was definitely some trouble getting checked in due to how busy they were with minimal carts for luggage, but overall nothing too crazyThe one downfall is the responsiveness of hotel staff at night We had an AC problem on our last night and there was no one available to help Being northerners, we’re not used to the intense humidity, so it was a struggle to overlook the broken AC But staff were very apologetic when hearing about it upon check outOverall, great experience and would stay again

Everyone was so nice and welcoming Room was perfect, small but we honestly didn’t need a lot of space because it was just me and my husband Right on the beach with a beautiful view

The restaurant attached had good drinks At first a couple of the bartenders seemed standoffish but weren’t at all! Started talking and all of them were amazing! Food was also amazing Definitely believe this will be our to go spot next year

Too many bad reviews for a solid hotel on the beachMy fiance and I had booked this hotel in May 2020 (during peak covid) for travel during the summer We went in July 2020

We had booked a ocean front room, and it was the best decision in the entire world We arrived around 5 pm, and since it was evening by the time we got there, we decided to just hang out and sit on the balcony and just enjoy the ocean waves Amazing We sat there for 2 solid hours just listening to the calm soundsAs soon as we entered the room though, we decided to wipe everything down with Clorox wipes we had brought from our home We wiped down EVERYTHING from the door handles to the balcony chairs down to the tv remote It’s better to be extra safe than not at all The beds were comfortable, and even though the bathroom was tiny, it was manageable The views were great and the distance to the beach was awesome The hotel could use a little renovation, but still I would definitely recommend!

I read over several of the reviews at this hotel There were just as many good reviews as well as bad That’s when I decided I would see for myself

My room was very clean The bed slept very well and the linen was clean There were plenty of towels and wash cloths in the bathroom We even had a balcony view of the beach I didn’t look for the confederate flag that everyone posted about and frankly didn’t care Whatever you believe morally is up to you As long as you treat people with respect that’s all that matters 💯 The only complaint is the guests upstairs at 4 in the morning making noise But it was quickly handled Great food and great stay!!!!!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel The location was amazing Perfect distance from the beach

Perfect location to restaurants and shops The employees were all very friendly! The pool was not clean during our stay and really needed some work We didn’t see anyone swim cause of how green it was The ice machines were all broken except on the fifth floor so hopefully they can get the other ones working The rooms were very clean The breakfast was great Loved the grab and go breakfast sandwiches so you could get in quick and out Overall a great stay and we will be back Hopefully they can work out a few things Staff was amazing!

Is there a way to give negative stars for this hotel? To start with my room was awful The ceiling was covered in mold spots The room smelled so strong of Clorox/ammonia that after just a couple of hours I started to not be able to breathe, my eyes started itching and watering, and I got a horrible headache

I had to leave in the middle of the night and find a new hotel A couple of days later when I called to ask about getting a refund, the woman I spoke to refused to let me speak to the General Manager, even though I had been given his card and was told by a different employee to speak to him She lied and told me that she was the Front Desk Manager (confirmed by the GM when I finally spoke to him later) She hung up on me twice and interrupted me over and over again and wouldn’t let me speak I have never in my life dealt with someone so rude This woman was by far the worst person I have ever dealt with, customer service wise If this was the last hotel on Earth, I’d gladly sleep outside first purely based on her attitude alone

After being in the room for an hour, I killed two roaches Picked up the room telephone to call front desk, it didn’t even work Used my personal phone to call the front desk, asked if the hotel had any bug spray because I don’t want to take roaches home with me and of course they didn’t

Front desk said it wasn’t roaches, it was water bugs from all the rain…… So, you’re well aware of bugs being in rooms after rain but you don’t have any spray on hand? Oh Okay I know the difference between a water bug and a roach and it was roaches!!! Front desk staff said “well I don’t have any other rooms to put you in but I can let you leave” I never asked for another room and I’m also well aware of my ability to leave any time I get ready and would’ve gladly done so in the event my kids weren’t already sound asleep Will NEVER stay here again
