Great location, amazing manager, and very friendly staff combine to make this pretty friendly hotel a wonderful place to stay in Columbus! Though it is near the airport, it is not a noisy location The doors to the rooms do not slam, which is an incredibly valuable feature in a hotel We also noted, that though we were on the ground floor, we did not hear the people above us

Having our own kitchen area, including a full size fridge, was very convenientWe had a reservation at a budget hotel at the North part of the city, but upon seeing the room there, my husband decided we needed to find a better place to sleep This was it!If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely choose this hotel

Pretty straight to the point hotel Needed a cheap lovers getaway and a lot of places were already booked up solid, snagged a room for $163 on a friday after taxes and fees (was listed as like $121 or something I don’t remember)Super clean, very sanitary and covid conscious

There were other amenities that we didn’t take advantage of like gym and laundry Queen bed was comfortable, bathroom was huge, variable shower head, handicapped bars Had a full kitchen including electric stove top

Stayed for 1 night and was disappointed Would not reccomend this location Our room floor was dirty and shower/bathroom still had hair in it

The pillows and blankets sucked There was no information in the room about the hotel/ surrounding area No pen/ notepad in the room Disappointed in the breakfast – there was no hot eggs or meat/ potatoes offered At 10 am sharp breakfast was shut down and the curtain was rudely pulled over somebody still getting their food at the breakfast bar Will not be staying here again

Dave Bartholomew

Stayed for a family visit Not who this location serves Business travelers I assume

So location to family is great, but I’ll happily drive further the next time in townI’ve stayed at this chain 3 other times, twice at the location by Polaris I will say the Polaris location was 5 star great Hot prepared breakfast, nice rooms, fully stocked amenities and great friendly staff Cannot be said for the new Albany locationSo, staff was so so Did the job at check in but so could a robot Didn’t feel very welcomed The next morning not one staff person greater me The room, for being a newer hotel looks worn Chipped cabinets, torn mattress cover and smelled The bathroom door has a latch, but no hole to latch it It’s a pocket door and hung at an angle that it will not stay closed Not just a crack, but opens all the way Maybe fine if traveling alone, but not so with others Shower doors the same They will not stay closed Hung on an angle again Breakfast was usual and it’s good However, this is the only location I’ve been to that makes you cook it all yourself No warming pans, not hot anything Grab it cold, put in microwave yourself Waffle is self cook as to be expectedNo shower gel in dispenser in shower Only decaf coffee in roomWorst part is this location cost close to 100 bucks a night more than Polaris location I’m fine paying the price, but expect better productI’ll be staying at Polaris location next time

Sabrina Maiorana

Not the cleanest On the first night we stayed we opened the microwave to find a bowl of rice someone had cooked previously just rotting in the microwave inside of an ice bucket Shower wasn’t cleaned, looked to be urine, was told it was the soap dispenser leaking but wasn’t anywhere underneath where the soap dispenser is located

Bathroom sink did not drain Bed was surprisingly comfortable Breakfast was ok If you’re worried about cleanliness I don’t recommend

Customer Service is lacking Just a tip: maybe try smiling at your guests? That’s kind of CS 101 We chose this hotel because we needed to stay with our cats while we showed our house and they are pet friendly

We left a night early as we scheduled showings earlier in the day on our last night and they didn’t inquire as to why we were leaving early (if we were unhappy with the room etc) Breakfast sucks, but we expected that Our room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable It was fairly quiet, as well

Ranell Prioleau

The hotel is nice however they have bed bugs I am not one to do a review but the way the hotel handled it was unacceptable I woke up to something crawling on my pillow at almost 5am, so I was able to capture it and I proceed to the bathroom with bug in my hand

Get to the bathroom kill it and a lot of blood is on the tissue I get my phone to do a Google search on what kind of big is this and it came back as a bed bug This was new to me because I have never seen one before So I call the front desk to notify them of what just happened He told me to call back around 7am when the manager gets in (He did try to find me another room but they were booked) no problem I just sat in the chair at the desk until later So I proceed to the desk later that morning when the manager arrives and I say “Good morning , I wanted to just report that there are bed bugs in room I am in” he proceeds to tell me “No they are not we check all of our mattresses and flip them over” 🤔😡 So now you are calling me a lair? At this point I was over it because I only came to be courtesy to let you know what I found at your hotel So now you want to say I am a lair that is a problem to me because I have no reason to lie I am a Diamond member and I always stay at Hilton hotels So I proceed to show him the picture of the bug and now he says oh maybe it is a one but we check all of our begs Not once did he apologize for calling me a lair So now I have red welts on my face and arm that itch like crazy So if you stay be safe and careful!

Nykemah Cannon

To start off the room was nice there were just stains on one of the desk and the toilet seat & bathroom door was broken We were expecting to at least sit at the pool but the chlorine was so strong (and if you don’t know that means that the water is extremely dirty) I couldn’t even stand in there for 5 minutes with out my eyes burning and my head starting to hurt But overall our stay was amazing and employees were very welcoming

Beautiful hotel! Neat, clean, and spacious Staff was kind and helpful The extra fee for the breakfast buffet is absolutely worth paying! The made-to-order omelets were delicious! They also had scrambled eggs, meats, waffles/pancakes, breads/bagels/muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, milk, and coffee

If you don’t want to use valet, there are plenty of parking spaces (they also have a parking deck) Perfect location! Close to everything

I stayed at this hotel for 12 days! It overall would’ve been decent, except for the front desk staff, well one in particular, I think her name was Brenda During one of the many evenings I stayed, there was a party in the “Presidential Suite” across the hall from me I called the front desk to have them come up to address it

I was told by this person, they would call the room I assumed this hotel would have security and they would send them up to the room After another 30 min of no change, I called again and got the same person She told me she would call again, then, also said, she knew who was in that room Almost implying it was a friend or coworker I asked if it would be better if I called the police She told e I wasn’t allowed to call the police Yes NOT ALLOWED!! She told me if I did I would be kicked out along with the people making all the noise I asked to speak to the manager and she put me on an endless hold, so I hung up Immediately after that, the noise stopped This morning, the electricity went out I got the same person when I called down to ask about it She said it was out for everyone and hung up on me No apology, nothing Horrible Horrible customer service Run don’t walk to one of the other many hotels in that area!!!

We stayed here one night and chose it because it was walking distance to Easton Town Center The room was immaculate The hotel lobby was gorgeous

Front desk was helpful and also friendly! The pool was also perfect We didn’t work out in the fitness center, but I did regret not bringing my workout clothes when I saw it When we come back to Columbus, we will definitely stay here again!

I reserved a room with a single king bed over the phone for ~$200 When I arrived at the hotel they not only didn’t have the room I reserved available (they put me in a room with 2 smaller beds), but they charged me ~$300 The room doesn’t even have a microwave

I stayed in a different local hotel the night before for $100 which had a microwave I have stayed at better Motel 6s for $50 I will never stay at this hotel and most likely any Hampton Inn ever again

Sybil Brown

Feelig frustrated that we had power outages on the hottest day of the year, I made a reservation and made my way to Hampton Inn New Albany, OH It was evident that the front desk personnel was slammed with the sudden check-ins, but they were VERY professional

and kind Even those there at checkout were nice Nice hotel, very clean, comfortable I would definitely stay again in that situation, or even for a STAY-CATION!

Amanda Bennett

It was comfortable and the staff was friendlyI was disappointed by the size of the pool and the room wasn’t cleaned behind the dressers I was kinda grossed out when I looked back there

and the fridge froze everythingI just feel like it’s overpriced, but it’s not a bad place to stay

This hotel was easily accessible from the expressway and close to everything we needed Our room was fairly clean apart from a few spots on the carpet here and there The garbage cans had no liners in them and housekeeping only cleans on request

We were told to leave garbage outside of our door during the day and someone would pick it up The room is decent sized and has a separate living area from the bedroom which I loved Pool and workout room were nice and breakfast was tasty and hot, just a little crowded My only real complaint would be check in I checked in late like 1030 11 pm Guests were crowding the check in desks just hanging out and talking I stood around for 15 or so minutes before an employee acknowledged me for check in Also, elevators There are 2 sets of 2 elevators but every day we were there only 1 of the 2 elevators was working on both sets

Patti Morgan

We were lucky to get a room on short notice on a Saturday afternoon The room was large and clean, and the fold out couch was perfect for the kidsThe trash cans in the room did not have liners, and the tub was slow at draining

There was plenty of soap available, and the hair products were much appreciatedThe breakfast spread was amazing Lots of cereal, fruit, and fresh cooked foodAll elevators were functioning, halls were clean, everything well in order in the lobby and lounge

Tom Flanigan

I stay at a lot of Hilton hotels Our stay was good but not great I’ve noticed Embassy Suites hotels are ran similarly

Overall, the stay was decent The room was a good size room for my family and the hotel was nice enough for our quick trip over memorial day weekend But we were missing a few things in the room we had to call and let the front desk know Missing tv remote and they had a fake phone in the bedroom The pool wasn’t heated and the staff weren’t that friendly Front desk personnel were nice At breakfast, the staff begins breaking down breakfast before 10am and actually shut the doors on people still getting food and coffee The bar staff at dinner weren’t outgoing and friendly but did their jobs Food was good but would like to be able to get coffee after 10am

First let me say, the staff was great Very friendly and accommodating and trying to work with what they have at the front deskThe rooms however

whoa Dirty carpets, stained throughout and the fitness center was a dingy dark room The halls of the hotels had lights flickering, thought it was HalloweenThe cleaning staff never came to switch out dirty towels (front desk helped us) and we had to empty our own trash cans on a 3 day stayThis hotel needs a serious deep cleaning and fixing up

Jeremy Rippel

We recently stayed here and had bed bugs When we told the front desk, nothing was done Left a review on hotels

com and got a email from the manager Manager just said “we do monthly cleanings and have pest control come in, please reconsider us” I absolutely will not reconsider this hotel, and don’t recommend this hotel The only reason why I’m not giving it a 1 star is because the hotel did seem to be recently renovated

This is a great property The hotel is new and very modern The bed is very nice and comfortable

The hotel room is very spacious and modern Nicole at the front desk is amazing She took the time to get to know me I would come back to this property and time And you probably need to give Nicole a raise She is going to be instrumental in the success of your hotel They don’t have a free breakfast but I guess no one is perfect

OMG! PROBABLY THE BEST BED in the northern parts of Columbus Aloft is a modern boutique hotel great for stays in the area, and certainly the only place I’ll return to this side of 270 Room was open plan, tiled shower, whole room blackout shades for that sleeping in action… No hot breakfast but your within sniffing distance of a double-double from Tim Horton’s

Highly recommended! And perfect pillows!

jcd830

They charged me $200for my room when their price is listed at 115$ online The desk staff was very rude and a guest tried even tried to clue her in that she was being rude and she said told him that I didn’t mind I did

I was checking in after a long and arduous journey and she stopped in the middle of that process to care for another guest that came to the counter after I did So yes, I did mind The room was dirty, there was even a dusty M and M under the bed as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a long while There were stains on the blinds, and I don’t mean permanent stains, these were like some unknown dried up material that could have been cleaned off if any sort of attention to detail had been paid to the issue The blinds don’t close all the way so much light leaks through making it very hard to fall asleep They moved my room but the next room had the same issue of the blind not closing properly over the window with the AC unit The rooms are very noisy and were built with no thought given to the acoustical properties of the construction materials Every door slam in the hallway can be heard in the room all of the activities can be heard in the next room, room across the hall and upstairs Altogether an awful experience and since every conversation can be heard I know for sure there was a couple trying to buy some percocet from some guy they saw in the hallway This place deserves negative stars I travel extensively for work, and stay in many hotels so I know very well this room was not worth the $200they decided to charge when they saw me walk in, exhausted from my travels I hope this review helps others, stay elsewhere

Wonderful Granville Getaway! We have stayed in a lot of B&Bs over the years, and the Welsh Hills Inn is easily one of the finest experiences we have had Beginning with Wrigley’s friendly welcome at our car, the hospitality never stopped The aura of comfort was first evident in the beautiful common areas and grounds and extended into our luxurious room

Jeff’s breakfasts were amazing, and he and Bobbi truly made us feel at home in their gorgeous inn We will definitely return whenever we want a relaxing getaway not too far from home

Aubren Davis

We had the best time here at The Welsh Hills Inn and will definitely be back Bobbie and Jeff were great to work with to accommodate everything we wanted They were so sweet and kind and always available if you ever needed anything

They also have two sweet dogs that we just adored and they both greeted us immediately This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience and it exceeded all of our expectations and more As our last weekend before we welcome a new baby we wanted to just go somewhere relax and unwind and spend time together and this place let us do just that It didn’t even feel like we were close to Columbus or even in Ohio for that matter The hills/views were amazing, how quiet and peaceful it was made it even better to just sit and relax on the porch Definitely is a paradise away from home The food was excellent, breakfast was great, our little candlelight dinner was everything and more, and we had a bonfire the last night we were there and it was so nice and relaxing The massage therapist was also great and I left relaxed From the house, our room, the food, views, and the hospitality it was a 10/10 visit and we will be back

Erin Robinson

I booked this getaway so my family and I could all relax and enjoy spending some quality time with one another Our trip definitely did not disappoint!!! We started each morning off with an amazing breakfast, that is as beautiful as it is delicious We also decided to treat ourselves to a candlelight dinner one night

We had the NY Strip, baked potato and corn on the cob Our steaks were HUGE, and cooked to perfection! We all agreed that it was the best dinner we had ever had Jeff & Bobbi serve a menu that is out of this world! It’s worth staying just for the food! We enjoyed our lazy days floating in the pool, playing games, talking, laughing, napping and sitting around a fire at night I chose to treat myself to a hot stone massage one afternoon and it too was fabulous Jeff, Bobbi and of course Wrigley & Ellie ensured that my family and I had such a wonderful time They really do go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect with your stay They work tirelessly so you are pleased with your experience here at The Welsh Inn It’s a one of a kind, relaxing vacation Nothing else even compares

I selected this rating because the hotel was in an expensive area and I expected the hotel to be in much better shape than it was I arrived and got on the elevator only for there to be multiple chunks taken out of the floor This would be a huge risk for someone with a wheelchair or walker

I got off the elevator and you could smell that the carpet has a permanent unpleasant odor Then I get to my room and the curtain was broken going diagonal across the window and a metal piece that was supposed to be mounted to the wall was on the floor and the screws laying beside it I went to the front desk and the girl was adamant about putting me in a different room so I got put across the hall The second room I was put into also needed a work order because the bathroom sink didn’t drain It was an inconvenience to have to use the shower for my hand washing and dental hygiene The morning receptionist asked how my stay was and I told her staying at a Hampton inn in Easton Columbus I expected the hotel to be in better shape for what I payed and that my second room had a non draining sink She said ohh I will put a work order in and have a nice day I payed too much money to stay in such a run down hotel

I really appreciated the location of this hotel, it was so close to shopping I got a room upgrade which I absolutely appreciated The room was huge! The bed was great as well

I didn’t care for the bathroom set up, with the vanity area being outside of the actual bathroom My only issue was the noise I think my neighboring room played music until the late hours and the front desk option didn’t work on the phone But all in all, I would stay here again

Overall, my stay was good for the price I paid The rooms are nice enough, thought they are a bit on the small side and dated There were a few pieces of cereal along the baseboards and the entertainment center that had been missed by housekeeping and the lighting wasn’t the greatest in the room, but the beds were comfortable

The bathroom was fairly clean but, again, dated Not long after check in we received a call from the front desk asking if we were satisfied with our room, so customer service seemed great Breakfast was from 6-9 On Monday the breakfast was good, but on Tuesday it was cold, hard, and not everything was in stock Monday evening I sat in the lobby and noticed leftover bits of food on one of the couches and under a decorative pillow Something was wrong with the elevator buttons, so on any of the upper floors we had to press the going up button even if we were going down Based on another review, this has been a problem for a while now
