Because bed was so comfortable and sheet was so softI did not know Comfort Inn is really good reasonable priced hotel until nowThank you so much for your kindness and welcoming to new guest who is very new to this area It made a great impression on Payson communityThank you again and wish you keep growing your business for the guests who need you🙂

Rooms were Clean accept the Carpet was sticky in places Curtains/Drapes were torn and tattered

Mainly just dated, but GoodNeeds a little TLCStaff was very friendly and politeBreakfast was ok,Coffee was GreatOverall4/5

All of the staff was pleasant and helpful and that’s what helped to give this hotel 3 stars However we booked on line and the room we got was missing amenities that were listed online Also the hot breakfast was the same molded eggs, sausage and waffle everyday and it’s taste was bland

The OJ was very watery The bathroom design is unsanitary because you use the toilet and have touch the door to put to sink to wash your hands They also only offer houseke6every three days so we had to dump our garbage everyday ourselves We will not stay here again

We had the best time here The guy managing the park was so kind to my 5 year old daughter He gave her a drawing of the donkey across the street, Pokey, to take home with her

He brought us over to see any wildlife around because he knew she loved animals The bathrooms were super clean and had great pressure We already booked it again on Labor Day Weekend! 🌲👍🏼😊

HerbnKathyRV

48 sites, 16 on level ground near the office, bathrooms, and main entrance Park is about a mile off SR87 so no road noise except neighbors heading to work in the morning Dark and quiet during the night

Laundry is up the hill a bit but large and we’ll lit Also a small library, a TV, and an RO water dispenser in thereThey accept PPAmerica so it came to $30/nite including tax, service fee, and the $6 daily electric fee FHUps

Syl Flores

From the moment we arrived, was welcomed with friendly staff I’ve had the opportunity to meet the locals like Kim, who is helpful with the area 😊 she introduced us to the neighborhood donkey 🐴named Poky, who loves attention

Owners are really sweet Overall we are both enjoying, our visit As a friendly reminder please no burn this place has seen enough of unfortunate Stay safe 😷

I took my kids up there for the night to escape the heat and enjoy outdoors We stayed in cabin 9 Everyone really loved the rustic feel

The kids loved the porch swing and watching the squirrels run up and down the trees The creek is a short 10 minute walk down the road The kids were able to play in the water, just be careful because some spots are slippery At night it was nice being able to have the windows open to let the cool air in The temperature was in the mid 50’s during the night, no need for air conditioning Easy trip from the valley and so much better than a hotel I will for sure stay again

How happy I was to stumble upon this amazing place! I knew there were cabins in Christopher Creek and after my previous plans didn’t work out, thought maybe there might be a cabin left I got the last one at 3pm on a Saturday- lucky me! Donna greeted me right away with a smile on her face and a let-me-help-you attitude She was fantastic from start to finish

I was immediately placed in a quaint one room cabin with a small kitchen The shower is small so taller people be advised! But it’s a shower in the woods in an awesome cabin with a fireplace so who cares right? Donna offered a Duraflame log for the fire, $4, can’t be beat unless you came prepared which I didn’t She suggested an amazing hike which I enjoyed the next day; a quiet, moderately tracked trail along the creek just 10 minutes away The bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby and enjoyed morning coffee on my porch swing while the sun came up and the bunnies ate grass in the common outdoor BBQ area Lots of bird sightings, singing and just as peaceful as could be For the price, the experience and the hospitality, hands down I will be back to enjoy this gem again! Happy glamping 🙂

The cabins were super cozy We’ve stayed here in the summer with friends and in the winter These cabins are a fantastic escape no matter the season! Management was incredibly kind

They went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of In addition to bringing food with you, there are some great dining options nearby without needing to go back into Payson : Creekside Tavern is just across the street and Jane Grey’s Country BBQ (few min drive)

Kohl’s Ranch was like stepping into a romantic western The resort had a wood cabin feel all nestled beside a soothing babbling creek The property was beautiful, with lots of trees and grass and was very well maintained

I had a great stay here There are walkways along the creek to enjoy where you’ll see all the birds and critters of the area Kinda wish I’d kept this one secret but I love to share Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did If you like BBQ they have Zane Grey’s BBQ house on sight which makes some mean BBQ, they also make pizza (who figured that one) I stayed in their two bedroom cabin which surprised me It’s was spacious and slept 8 comfortably Me and my wife couldn’t decide how to enjoy do much space! Lol We enjoyed the fireplace and sat outside for a chill vibes moment enjoying the moonlight and beers! Happy travels

My husband and I have been the last three years for our anniversary and absolutely love itThe location is nice and tucked away with gorgeous views It’s close enough to town to go for shopping or eating, and also close to some great hikes and areas for viewing the spectacular scenery! We enjoy visiting the Paleo Dig Site and viewpoints along The Rim

We recently did the Woods Canyon Lake trail and fully enjoyed it!!The food at Kohl’s ranch is always delicious and filling And I love the setting of the restaurantThe pool is good size and heated and the hot tub is always great for relaxingThe rooms are good size, but the beds are firm- which is not my personal preferenceWe have always had great experience with the staff and their service and look forward to many more visits!

Joseph Parker

Very nice Lodge in a beautiful location Staff is friendly and efficient Many of their rooms and cabins are time share, so the lodge tends to run more along those lines than a resort hotel

However, they also have hotel services Even the most basic room (studio) has a kitchenette and all the rooms are very nicely appointed It’s probably one of the more expensive lodgings in this area, but deals can be had Better to use for longer stays

Every year around this time, I head up north to get out of the heat for a day or two Haven’t done it for a couple years (pandemic and job loss), but I got back on track this year The hotel room was a nice suite

Clean and well-appointed, and at a very reasonable price mid week The Cedar Ridge restaurant was nice, I had the Cajun catfish for dinner, and chicken fried steak & eggs for breakfast The casino is small, and the smoke smell is so strong I cut my time in there short Unfortunately you have to walk through the casino to get to the restaurant, so that might be a deal-breaker for some folks Perhaps more ventilation is needed Other than that, it was a nice stay

Maggie Dicksen

Our 55+ community took a day bus trip to the Mazatzal Casino and we had a marvelous time! Early bird breakfast of biscuits & gravy, scrambled egg, sausage or bacon for only $399

wow it was delicious!! It’s a small casino but very clean and the slots paid often Super nice folks all over from our hostess to the floor walkers offering assistance The buffet was small but quite tasty Our waitress was very attentive to ensure we had everything needed Smoking is permitted but unless you see someone smoking, you wouldn’t know it The air is exchanged often to remove the smoke Advise taking a light jacket if you chill easily Overall, I highly recommend this delightful casino and will be going back

Zetta Marie

The security attendants were not only rude but overly concerned with the fun you were having I understand no beer is allowed to go to a room but harassing guests and checking their vehicle to make sure your assumption on whether said beer was brought in was a little bit much ( I left it in my truck) The security proceeded to follow us around the casino area the rest of the evening even to the restroom

I payed 416$ for a 2 night stay to get treated like a criminal, also my only vacation I get away from my four children for the year I felt harassed and uncomfortable it was upsetting The casino area is minimal and the machines kept jamming and buttons didn’t work (very old machines) Compared to Casino Arizona and We-ko Pa this was very disappointing as I am from the city area and frequent the other casinos The staff at the bar was also 50/50 on their costumer service The only positive thing I can say is the maids and room check-in staff were delightful people that seemed happy to be there and assist you so shout out to them for making at least moments of the stay nice I will Never stay there again nor will I recommend anyone I know to stay!

Great place to get away from the heat in the valley Cabin was very clean and comes with all the amenities and plenty of space The creek runs right behind the cabin so you can relax from the back patio while listening to the water

No need to leave, our cabin came with a stove, oven, microwave and fridge with plates, cups and utensils If you are looking to recharge the batteries I recommend this place

Annette Minkey

We spent the night here on our honeymoon and had such a wonderful time it was so nice to fall asleep and wake up to the crackling fire and bubbling creek! In the morning, we relaxed in the rocking chairs out on the cabin porch that overlooked the creek while we had our coffee

It was so serene to watch the blue jays, woodpeckers, and squirrels frolic about exactly what we needed! Todd and his wife were great hosts as well! Great little spot!

I am a musician that plays at Landmark As such, I am a frequent flyer I always find the rooms clean and comfortable

The check-in process is quick and easy Everything is spelled out clearly on the website when reserving the rooms Definitely a good value We enjoyed watching the elk that occasionally visit the property and sightings of other wildlife We enjoyed having a warm place to stay when it rains (as it does often during monsoon season) A place to rest in the evening And a place to bathe My wife and I are not young, so having a bed to sleep in and still be able to enjoy the woods is so special to us

I stayed here back when it was Days Inn It is my “go to” hotel when I have gone to Payson The owners are very nice and helped me when I was down on my luck

Not going to describe it all here but I will never forget them and their kindness The room I always requested because it was by the door to the parking lot so I can take my dog for a walk was clean and comfortable Hope to be able to get out there again and check it out since there has been a change to the place Just glad the owners are still the same

Erin DuPree

We really enjoyed our three night stay here Stephanie at the front desk was super helpful and welcoming, and even helped us with early check in (40 minutes early) The hot complimentary breakfast was BOMB

Waffles, eggs, potatoes, juice, muffins, toast you won’t go hungry Indoor pool facility was clean and inviting, the kids had a blast down there Housekeeping was fabulous We could definitely hear our neighbors, but you’re going to hear people in hotels eventually, no matter what We are glad we chose this spot

Pretty nice place

two things I was unhappy abouthave to go through lobby only after 10pm so if you go to your caryou have to walk all the way around the building, enter, then go all the way down to your room Also the rooms are hard floored which leads to an echoing within the roomGood points Very clean and the staff was very friendly Great commentary breakfast as well

This place definitely has a bit of nostalgia

If you were born in the 80s or 90s Took me back to when I was younger and had those family vacations Certain things have been updated It was the least expensive spot for a spur of the moment trip If you’re ok with not having all the extras, I think this place fills the needs for most Inexpensive, comfortable beds, clean, friendly staff and a lot of mom and pop shops nearby

Justin Feld

Staff and owners very friendly To be completely honest, I had low expectations when I arrived But I definitely misjudged the place

They did a good job keeping up on my room and providing me with everything I needed Owners consistently checked up to make sure everything was good Good hotel for the price The place isn’t perfect but they try the best they can and for me that goes a long way

Gale George

The absolutely worst hotel experience Took bedspread off and discovered a large WET, YELLOW PISS CIRCLE They gave us a new rom with no apology or explanation

New room had mold in the bathroom Bathtub chipped and dirty Towels were old and ragged Didn’t take the chance of sleeping with blanket which had a 6 inch rip Patched paint, dirty floors Grounds were not groomed at all Weeds and stickers Toilet was dirty with black in it Exterior doors were left unlocked Anyone could have come in I can’t believe this place is allowed to stay open

The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, fast food and stores! The property and the rooms were maintained everyday, very clean I will be staying here every time I need a room!

Overall, a nice place to stay overnight Room we stay in was clean and decent size, nice big tv and sink/shower warmed up quickLittle changes that would make the stay nicer and comfortable: better insulation so the room be warmer (seemed like the heater didn’t warm the room that well) , comfortable mattress/pillows (but personal preference in this case as partner slept better than I) and there wasn’t enough counter space in the bathroom

We tried this place for the 1st time, rather than staying at our usual place, which i always felt was not worth it We do stay up here quite a bit and needed something newThis place is massive! The rooms here were large and clean

We chose an upper floor, which had a very large balcony with a nice table and chairs; the 1st floor rooms had a nice little patio The showers had great water pressure and hot water There is ample free parking and you can walk across the street to eat at La Sierra,a good Mexican restaurantThe best part tho was dealing with Michelle, who assisted with our reservations and check in She was extremely friendly and helpfulWe will definitely stay here again

RADLIMITED

Michelle who helped us book our rooms at 9pm when we got flooded out of our campsite 45 minutes away was an absolute angel The rooms were so spacious and in beautiful condition We had a group of 10 and she made sure we were all in rooms next to each other

To make it even better, they served a hot breakfast in an adorable diner This hotel should be rated far beyond 2 stars!Thank you so for your warm and inviting energy Michelle 🙂

Chris

Michelle checked us in during a busy time and she handled the line and phones with a beautiful smile and professionally! The room is large and very clean The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is large with the toilet behind a wall from the sink The grounds are well maintained and the pool was a delight with temperatures in the 90’s

Thank you Jodi for reminding us at check out about breakfast and your delightful smile
