You get what you pay for in an expensive town Bed was comfortable and clean, shower fixtures were loose in the wall but function good, could barley hear the neighbors The basic hotel amenities, nothing fancy, good breakfast, staff is very helpful

Only really negative thing I could say would be that the carpet is absolutely disgusting, it looks clean enough but I took a shower and was only walking around in the room barefoot packing up then when I went to put my sandals on the bottom of my feet were black please do a deep carpet wash or get new flooring Otherwise I had a great stay

Zeljko Dakic

Great place with really big rooms I was pleasantly surprised with rooms They had two queen beds in one with separate with bed of our own

I really enjoyed staying there, we were just passing by so we didn’t stay for longer but it was really nice and wished other places had amenities like thisStaff was really good and attentive and any time I am passing here, I will make a point to stop here Public pool with hot water is not that far and this is really nice place to stay

Ariannah Perry

The 2 stars were for the kind Front Desk Staff and the location Overall the property was quiet and comfortable However, I never felt comfortable or clean in the rooms

NO stars for:*first room I checked into, incredibly dirty Bathtub not scrubbed, stains on walls, dust, sink not clean, carpet not vacuumed and when I came back from dinner after check in, the room reeked of pot smoke*second room I checked into seemed in better condition but found a long hair inside folded hand towels and hair on one of the beds Carpet was also not vacuumed and the bathroom fan was very dirty At least the tub and sink were clean in the second room! The hotel was old and I wasn’t expecting a 5 star Ritz Carlton However, I do expect rooms to be clean This stay was a disappointment and I would not choose to stay here again

Lady at the front desk is so helpful and friendly Laundry was great Parking for oversized vehicles is amazing

Only downfall is that the hot tub is barely warm and only runs for 5 minutesVery clean and satisfactory over all One of the nicer La Quintas that I have been to

Sophie Wood

Stayed here on a cross country drive It was much nicer than the La Quinta we stayed at in Nevada, and the front desk staff were super professional and nice My grievance is with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the beds

When we got to the room we started to have allergies; it was clear there was light colored cat hair all over the bed frames We took some Benadryl and tried our best to get to sleep Of the three pillows on the bed, two were covered with an unbelievable amount of (human?) brown hair, as if a very hairy man had been sleeping on them for a month I found many additional hairs on the sheets as well Thankfully the third pillow was clean and I was able to pick off some of the hairs on the bed and get some sleepI guess I could have asked for the bed to be remade but we were exhausted from driving all day and didn’t notice until just before we went to go to sleep

Great location right off the Colorado River Fishing access right from your room if you stay in the rooms on the South side of hotel Dog friendly with lots of room to walk your pets

Rooms were decent We stayed in a suite on the third floor It had a jetted tube right in the living room with a separate bedroom Several of the lights didn’t work in the rooms and there were no USB ports available Also the hair dryer didn’t work So it could use a few upgrades Amenities like the pool and workout room where basic and nothing spectacular We went to breakfast at 9 am (it’s served from 6:30-9:30) and they were out of food and the cook said she wasn’t making more but we could eat cereal Otherwise we enjoyed our stay It’s definitely nicer than other Holiday inns we’ve stayed at in bigger cities

Eden Weiss

South Colorado is a little slice of heaven in this place was great It was very clean and everything worked 100% I opted for a room on the back side of the hotel on the third floor with the balcony that overlooked the Colorado River it was quite enjoyable to watch the stars while having a cocktail on the balcony

I would stay here againWent to a great restaurant close by by the name of miners claim it was excellent

Kristen Holland

We were visiting a Cousin in Rifle Colorado and all the reviews were not very good about the hotels in the area so we decided to try this one in Silt and we hit the jackpot!!! No complaints here, kind and friendly staff clean and desirable rooms, we have an Amazing view of the Colorado River from our room We will definitely come back here even if its a few miles out of Rifle it’s well worth the extra trip

We were on vacation for the weekend and we really enjoyed staying here The location is close to Glenwood Springs and it’s also really close to the freeway which is convenient We were able to check in on the Hilton app the day before and pick our room, it was nice having the digital key on our phone

The rooms were very nice and clean The bed was very comfortable We also enjoyed the breakfast We will definitely stay here again

David Hancock

This is a lovely Hampton and easy to access from 70 There are a lot of easy to walk to restaurants for when you’ve been driving all day and really don’t want to drive to get food Also you can’t walk (on an accessible sidewalk) to downtown Rifle — about two miles each way — for even more choices and to see the town

Getting back on 70 was also easy The staff knows the area and have good food recommendations And the staff are also, without exception, friendly Breakfast was good, the same fare as all Hamptons, and kept stocked and hot

Tabitha Summey

Good-We were able to check in using the Hilton ap on the phone and didn’t even have to go to the front desk Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean It was within walking distance of food and stores

Close to I70Bad-Breakfast was kinda crazy They ran out of food , and no one was around to ask anything It was very messy in the breakfast areaOther-Parking was ok, it wasn’t to noisy Views were amazing

First we wanted to start out by thanking and praising Sammie who was at the front desk We accidentally left the lights on inside of our car overnight and she let us use her personal jumper cables to jump our carThe hotel was fairly clean and smelled nice

The beds were firm but not uncomfortable Grand Vista provided the normal amenities except for continental breakfast They wanted to charge $12 per person They also charged a $10 parking fee The hotel was the most affordable in the area, but they seemed to nickel and dime you to death That’s the only reason for the 4 stars Other than that we enjoyed our stay

Crystal Copeland

We stayed here from Wednesday-Sunday of last week This place is so nice Our room was very nice and clean

The pool and hot tub were great after a day of riding the motorcycle They have a nice menu selection for dinners you can order All of the staff were super friendly and helpful We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others

Jennifer Salazar

I had my whole family come into town for graduation and from the very beginning it was a disaster They advertise that the pool and breakfast is available It is not!!! My family went to the front desk to ask about it and they said that the pool was being changed from chlorine to salt water

Fine, put something on the website stating that the pool is not available so that families can make a choice based off of that I had family with small children that were looking forward to swimming in the pool Breakfast was also stated on the website as being available and it was not When they went down to ask about it they said it was not available and, “It is what it is” They were also supposed to get adjoining rooms so that they could help out with the kids That also did not happen There was no AC in one room and lights that did not work in another room We had some family checking out on a Sunday and some family checking out on Monday The family that checked out on Sunday complained about all the screw ups and they gave her a very small refund Sammy (front desk person) stated that she checked out and also checked out another family member who was staying another night (there were 4 total rooms) So they packed up my families stuff and put it in a trash bag (forgot chargers in the room) Sammy then argued with my family and talked over us about how she was right and we were wrong She then stated that the person who checked out earlier was rude Sammy just told the mother and sisters of this person that there family member was rude Sammy lied about giving the person who checked out two receipts (she only got one) She was trying to cover up her mistake of checking out the wrong family members There was also a gentlemen there who also worked there listening in He proceeded to go up to the room they were in to tell housekeeping about what happened So when family went up to get the things the staff forgot to throw in the trash bag they overheard them talking “trash” about them Sammy also decided to use her perfected customer service skills to kindly hand over my families belongings by kicking there belongings out the door of the front desk area and then slam the door behind them How can there be no manager on staff ever to handle customer complaints and leave incompetent staff with no manager training to deal with it in there absence? One of the tell tale signs of someone not telling the truth is the constant talking over of someone Sammy consistently did that Her customer skills needs significant improvement and so does that whole staff!!! I have never seen this kind of behavior ever!!! No wonder the parking lot was empty!!! Do NOT come here if you enjoy AC, a lighted room, pool, breakfast, kindness, and a guarantee that someone else won’t be able to check you out of your own room

I think I’d give it 34 starsI had fun staying the night here

a warm, kind of dreamy place I like the lights that are all along the outside of the motelbut it’s not somewhere I’d stay more than one night, or again actually, even at this price mostly because of the bedsheets and pillowcases they were too itchy, or starchy I may have sensitive skin, but this was particularly rough beddingoh the uh blanket? was some strange synthetic fabric too thin & a lot of static the night wasn’t too cold, though, so it was alright maybe they bring out thicker blankets for winterin general, not much different from my other motel experiences better than other times, thanks to my choice in company I enjoyed the specific imperfections, like the incorrectly labeled shower temperatures and the cracks in the lampshade

Sadie Hood

Though this hotel is older in it’s age it was quite a pleasant trip/experience The price was really good The Hotel employees were very pleasant and helpful in directing me and my family to town amenities/food

Room was clean and decent sized They are pet and kid friendly (I know sad you have to add that), nice variety at the breakfast area, and we were able to get a nice, peaceful night’s rest both nights that we stayed

Therese Brosmer

Was ok Had a little bit of damage when we moved in Staff was incompetent

The young girl said that out cat was cool to stay as well Even said she’d work with me Then turns around after a month and lied to her manager about what she said She told her manager we had a dog Apparently pet friendly is only select friendly Both the employee knew we were there with a cat Then decided to kick us out after paying weekly 2 days before the due date for a month We heard cops, dogs, and destruction of other tenants as we were quiet and left absolutely no damage Completely uncool and rude!

This surprisingly a nice little place Next to to the highway, so noise can be an issue if that bothers you Staff is nice and we’re helpful when checking is in

Had two rooms and they got us as close together as they could Ice machine works which is always a bonus to me Only about 5 minutes from the Hot Springs pool and 4 minutes to the Adventure Park There’s dining places along the road, but downtown is only 5 minutes away, so you’re close to some nice eateriesIt’s no Hilton, but for the price it’s very nice A good place to stay if just getting away for a coupledays with the family

Cynthia London

During our 7 day motorcycle trip throughout the state of Colorado this was the best Motel! The room was very clean and updated, the shower had super sonic water pressure 😃 the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows, our room had a kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker and a sink) The property was meticulously maintained and not scary (like some of the places we stayed) there were 2 chairs and a side table right outside of each room – great for relaxing outdoors Laundry is $1

50 for wash and $150 for dry The office staff kindly provided me with change and a Pod and dryer sheet for a dollar! This motel is truly family owned and operated with pride I was greeted by 3 sons and the dad and each encounter was respectful, courteous and with personality You can tell that these boys have been raised rightIf you’re ever in the Glenwood Springs/Carbondale/Hanging Lake area book a room at this little gem!

Nick Carita

LOVE IT HERE! It’s a VERY affordable price, the rooms are well maintained and designed, and the front office is VERY responsive The owner is SO approachable and friendly We talked for about 20 minutes as I was checking in

Any time I come out here to work with my clients, I will be sure to stay here!

Rooms and bed were clean and comfortable Check in quick Hotel has a playground for the kids along with a dog area to walk your pet

Location good with easy access on and off hwy Hot and cold included breakfast was great So why 3 stars?? We had a long drive and booked for the hot tub and swimming pool They were out of order Room above us had children that were running and jumping on the floor Bathtub leaked Toilet had to be flushed a number of times For the expensive price they charged, it would have been better to sleep in my car

Evan Fleming

Front desk staff was friendlyBreakfast was surprisingly very goodCold & hot options available

Hot options included waffles, eggs, corned beef hashCold options included cereal, donuts, yogurtWe booked the hotel knowing we would have a short 1 night stayWe have 3 children under 10 We really were expecting & hoping to swim in the pool However, right after checking in we were walking to the elevator & I noticed a sign on a door at the end of the hall I walked down to it & read that the pool was closed I asked the front desk if they had an arrangement with a nearby hotel to allow guests to swim There are at least 2 other hotels within 1/2 mile I was told this was not an option, with nothing else offeredI contacted the agency I booked our room through & did receive a discount It was too late for anything else I did contact another nearby hotel & they had an available room, but I was not able to rebook our room with themOverall, cleanliness was so-soBreakfast was goodStaff was friendly, but not overly helpfulIt would be good if they told guests while booking or at check in

Rachel Large

We got three rooms, in one room the microwave was very filthy and disgusting and no trash bag in the can The second room was missing the room book, and the ice tub was not clean and sticky The third on was so nosiy from them having to move fridge’s in and out down the hall

The mattresses were comfortable but the pillows we very small, like throw pillows And the pool/hit tub we’re closed to maintenance which they did not indicate at the time of booking

Compared to some of the other Comfort Inn and Suites we’ve stayed, this one is by far the best Pretty little walkway alongside the river in the back The mountain across the river is simply gorgeous

There’s a deck outside the pool area with a grill which I thought was cool We reserved a room with a jacuzzi tub and it was so relaxing Might be my new favorite anniversary hotel We’ll definitely be staying here again!

Lacey Brakey

Shelia at the front desk was the best front office hotel receptionist She was friendly, outgoing and overall made us feel welcomed! This made us definitely want to come back to the hotel when we are in Glenwood The hotel itself is older but functional and a good location

The pool and hot tub definitely need some renovations I would mainly come back for the customer service and location but there are several other hotels in this location as well

180pika

I always enjoy staying at this hotel Big reason, right on the Colorado River I always get a room with River view

Nice walkway behind the hotel, if you continue east across the road, it continues on the south side of the river Nice breakfast Some noise in hotel as they are updating rooms I felt safe there The photo is right behind the hotel

This is a quite campground tucked away in a canyon along Elk Creek about 4 miles from I -70 It was purchased by the new owners in the spring of 2022 They are in the process of updating everything

They have completed new water and electricity service and sewer hookups to the sites The laundry facility is closed at the present time as it is being renovated The camp store is not up and running yet I was told Star Link WiFi should be available to every campsite throughout the park by August The owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful!

My family and I stayed here for a night on our way back from Vegas The gentleman at the front desk was super sweet and welcoming Pricing for two rooms wasn’t bad either

The pool area was a very nice size, and if I had to nitpick to find something wrong, then I guess maybe the hot tub is a bit on the small side The rooms were a pretty good size, although some parts could have been cleaned a bit more well Overall, a 4/5 in my book It was a great stay, and the views from here are great!

Jordan Masterson

Parachute is a great little town and I’ve stayed at all 3 hotels in town over time This place is ranked #2 in my opinion (Candlewood is #1 and the Grand Vista is #3)The bedroom and bathroom were a little dated but still very clean

It has a fridge and a microwave One downside to the room is it did smell a little like old cigarettes The beds are really comfortable but the pillows are too smallThe $10 a night parking kinda sucks, but the price here compared to price of the other 2 hotels in town makes up for itMy suggestion to people coming here, bring your own pillow and some air freshener and this place is perfect

Bailey Walters

Grand river hotel it’s self was a good stay We wanted to take a trip up to Glenn wood but wanted somewhere cheaper to stay it’s about 30 minutes away from Glenn wood The only issues we had is our fire alarm went off from shower steam, the pillows are extremely small bring your own, the room keys kept deactivating

Outside of the hotel there is not too many stores so don’t forget anything they don’t have shampoo or lotion or anything really in the hotel it’s self

The pillows are a bit rough but the bed was comfortable and clean Although there is a train track near, it is a very quiet and it is a welcoming small town Our only issue was the AC being very loud! But we were so tired that once we fell asleep, we totally blocked out the sound

It was ok for the price, only real issue was that the AC in our room didn’t work properly We were just glad it was a cool night and that we didn’t need the room during the heat of the day The bed was comfortable, (though I hate the small pillows a lot of hotels have started using)

We did find a hotel of frozen milk in the fridge 🤔 As we were only staying one night we didn’t say anything to the staff Hope they notice the bad AC before anyone else stays in that room during a hot day

It’s after midnight! My lovely neighbor upstairs with her kids woke me up at 11 and have been going on making noise all night long! I Called the management twice they said they will call and take care of it But it’s not working! It sounds like banging noise upstairs!! Apart from the neighbors animal noise, I think the thin walls in this hotel does not help either! I paid $200 for this?? I will need a refund for this horrible experience 😢Edit: just found out this stain on the sheets!! That’s just the icing on the cake!
