Very helpful staff, quickly resolved issue with room door Front desk daytime and night very friendly I read multiple reviews but I was concerned especially with special needs adults

I couldn’t have been more wrong, breakfast was excellent I would Definitely stay and recommend this location Great service makes up for any small details in my opinion

Mya Johnson

The lady at the desk Nicky is horrible Shes nasty and rude and very unaccommodating Then to top things off we were coming down the hall and heard her and the other front desk lady talking about a guest and their situation

If this is customer service I don’t want it! Breakfast is basic for the price they charge you The manager says he will correct certain things from the looks of previous reviews but nothing has changed! The staff is good aside from Nicky I’d say get rid of her and your team is stronger She makes me never want to book there again with the way she laughs on the phone all day and stares at you with disgust in her face that’s very apparent The hotel will definitely be reported to the BBB no doubt They have black mold growing in the showers and spiders and ants coming through the windows in the rooms It’s unacceptable

Nicholas Wright

Absolutely amazing desk staff friendly service The bathtubs are huge my 6’3 350 lbs friend fit just fine The only complaint I have is how they are doing breakfast it was 10$ for a buffet style

The charge per item is overly priced for what the quality of food is Other then that little minute flaw will absolutely stay again when in ATL

Nice Hotel overall! Hot Breakfast with plenty of selection Room was cleanish however there was room for improvement, Several Spots that could have used more dusting but other than that not too bad Would have been nice to have a microwave in my room instead of having to walk all the way down to the lobby just to use the microwave

Other than that though everything was great, Pool was nice and warm and staff were very friendly and were very helpful and accommodating to my needs Would stay again!

Luciana Smalls

The staff is friendly and helpful The TV worked for two nights and then stopped working A staff from the front desk attempted to correct the issue earlier in the day; however, when I called the front desk later in the evening, the only option offered was to change the room which was after 8 PM at night

I did not want to pack up and move to the other room I understand there is no maintenance person on site I appreciate the free breakfast; however, the food was cold both morning The hotel is located in a beautiful area and nearby there are shopping stores and restaurants It is located close to the city My family enjoyed the pool The bed was comfortable On my way to check out, there was no one there I dropped the card off and left I was disappointed overall with my experience

Julianne X

It’s not the staffs fault that this hotel needs some updating! The carpet had a lot of stains, the furniture chipping, doors also very worn along the bottom One other issue was the absence of front desk staff at times and no one answering the phone promptly, until I called three times and just let it ring until someone answered! That was on Fri May 6 in the early afternoon This was not the weekend if one wanted to relax quietly

There was reportedly a large birthday party Plenty of noise, talking, cussing, children running up and down the hall very late in the night And all the talking and carrying on from the floor beneath me was bothersome My next door neighbor must have been partially deaf because the sounds from his TV we’re very loud, as if the walls are paper thin I choose this location thinking it was going to be quiet and relaxing NOT!! Anyhow, despite my complaints, I’m giving the hotel 4 and 5 stars On any other weekend, it might have been a perfect stay!!

This is a beautiful hotel in a very nice location My wife and I enjoy spending time here and being able to walk and explore the area The rooms are modern and have plenty of plugs for our electronics

The staff are excellent and we felt very comfortable and safe during our stay I would highly recommend this hotel The area around the hotel provides great shopping and dining to explore

Patricia Stewart

Top rate hotel It is in a good location but very difficult to find as it is at the end of the street located in a nice shopping area complete with department stores, boutiques, restaurants and a movie theater! The rooms are nice and airy with lush robes with the hotel name I love the nice flat screen tv encased in a nice picture frame

The small refrigerator has a bottle opener on the side of it The beds are very comfortable and the bedding is nice and lush The rooms are well appointed indeed

D E Mullis

The Hotel at Avalon is a beautiful vibrant facility with flexible event space Really wonderful, attentive staff who seemed to enjoy their work They were very intentional about creating an engaging atmosphere in the lobby

Well done!Avalon is a walk up town center area with a very nice collection of retail, restaurants, & movie theater all just steps away from the hotel Some might be comforted to know there is a full Starbucks onsite and I highly recommend trying the South City Kitchen, also located in the hotel

I’d rate this hotel 5 stars but the pool area had hardly any tables and chairs for the guests One of the only two tables was broken (glass top cracked and unsafe) For the amount of sports teams staying, they could use a few more washers and dryers

(Only 2 of each)The staff was very friendly and accommodating and always had a smile They were available to help with whatever was neededLocation was perfect Close to restaurants, towns, and entertainment area Very clean Safe well lit locationWe would definitely stay here again

Mia Callum

The stay was good We both enjoyed the room The only thing that was an issue was your night audit agent and your PM agent as well

There was no communication prior to when I arrived with my dog What is the purpose of calling the hotel to INFORMED you that I have a animal with me if you are going to harass me about it when I get there? Also, the shower water was not hot The sink water is hotter than the shower Be detailed with your notes

Oscar Gil

I got off work and drove for 7 hours straight to Atlanta for a business trip I called the hotel saying that we were going to arrive way after the usual check-in times and once we get there they told us that our reservation was gone and that if we had arrived 20 min before, everything would have been fine The bottom line is that ended paying twice for the room

I have a business and when there’s any issues with our customers we always go the extra mile to make them happy So this is clearly how you not treat your clients, the recepcionist wasn’t willing to go the extra mile and help us Of course, we didn’t tell him anything, we just paid for it as we were tired of our trip and all we wanted was going to sleepDefinitely this is the first and last time staying at this hotel

The hotel was very clean That is one of the great things about this stay The location was a little strange as it was behind a gas station but once you figured out how to get there it was really easy to get in and out of

The staff was friendly, but not as security-minded We never felt unsafe, it was just weird that they didn’t ask for any verification when we said we had lost our keys In this post covid travel world be aware that the rooms are not cleaned or serviced during your time unless you request it That was perfectly fine for us but to do something to be aware of is you travel

Marilee Lukefahr

My husband and I stayed here for three nights during a multi state road trip We enjoyed our stay – the room was clean and quiet and spacious We enjoyed talking with Willie at the front desk when we had a moment – what a friendly and great person! Took advantage of the guest laundry and that was convenient to pay by credit card instead of quarters

My only complaint is that the eggs at breakfast were a little runny and on the cold side But everything else was great!

Sabrina F Salters

This is amazing no attention to detail when it comes to cleaning I have by myself wipes and wipe down the bathroom light switch It was disgusting so I decided to wipe down everything else in the room also in the corner of the shower not cleaning in that area and you can see it it’s disgusting

As far as service service was excellent Willie Hood was the person at the front desk and his customer service was absolutely wonderful He made me feel so at home and so welcome He made my stay much much better

Room is quite and bed is good That is about it Room is worn and feels dirty

Couch has stains and cigarette burns Curtains are torn Thrash on stairs for two days Needs improve attention to details and cleaning Actually had a “freshly laundered and folded” wash cloth that was covered with hair (yuck) We will not be back Also terminated out stay two days early I can’t recommend this hotel

Mate king

I was in Atlanta with my family I want to start off by saying that what makes this hotel feel worth it is the housekeepers that treated me and my family Julieta was a wonderful human soul that went above and beyond for my needs and treated us like true family

I could never get customer service to that standard any longer or in other hotels Man! Such a passionate soul and a great human being The breakfast was decent I think the lady was named Maria who cleans and preps the cafeteria She was wonderful too We love them Thank you for such a great experience Hopefully, my family and I are able to come back here

Mery Velazquez

Only reason why I’m giving it a 4 is because the hotel isn’t so strict on the no smoking policy They would know that the guests were smoking Marijuana and cigarettes in their rooms but do nothing about it I brought kids with me and the room across from me was smoking, out room immediately stunk up as if we were the ones smoking

It was ridiculous Great have no respect for the rules

Bathroom had not been fully cleaned as used toiletries from previous guest were still in the bathroom Asked for pillows and blanket for the bed in the fold out couch for our kids and was told that they had none available Breakfast isn’t included ($8 per person)

Walls are super thin so we could hear every time the person next to us opened their blinds and when the kids baseball team came thundering down the hall every night Someone pulled the fire alarm in the middle of the night for a few seconds The very small pool looked pretty gross

Kristofer Meyers

I would not recommend this hotel and this was our experience The hotel ran out of clean bath towels and only offered pool towels They only had $1

00 i Quarters to offer towards the laundry room They had an event or events going on until well past midnight during our stay with the music so loud, we could hear and feel it in our rooms Someone set the fire alarm off at midnight and woke all of our kids up They have one ice machine which is in the “second building” on the 3rd floor They have one microwave in the hotel which is in the dining area only There were two creepy cars in the parking lot that had the windows broken out and a bunch of junk in them If you have children, I would look elsewhere to stay

I want to thank MsMonique for her efforts and patience to soothe myself and my husband during our stay she kept it real with us and never cracked While staying at any hotel you basically get what you pay for nothing will ever be perfect and one person never has control over everything it’s the team that keeps things afloat so I appreciate you for your team efforts although you were working alone that night we witnessed her work a full 24 shift at the front desk also Mr

Jonathan is awesome as well I appreciate you for accommodating myself and my husband during our stay and you guys truly did your best because we are picky as heck when you have to pinch and squeeze you need your moneys worth so thank y’all for accommodating our needs during our stay blessed!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This hotel is disgusting

the staff may be nice However, the rooms are nasty with dirty walls, dirty floors, paint peeling off the walls, dirty base boards, roaches were in the refrigerator some were dead and some aliveI put the fridge outside and the bugs continued to come out of the fridge I called the office to bring another one which never happened There was no hot water at all in the bathtub Though the sink had hot water Requested for the maintenance person to fix it He refused to fix it The office offered to put us in another room but for whatbefore checking in I looked at three different rooms and the one I chose was the decent looking one at that moment I called the office personnel to inform them of every detail I have just stated about and nothing was done about the cleanliness of this room I was disgusted with the hotel rooms Again, Do Not Stay here!

I stayed at this hotel twice, 1 month and 3 month respectively while working on my degree The monthly booking option and rate has been extremely helpfull at that specific time and without that it could have been just “without comment” The management team is professional, available

I admired the professionalism, energy, work ethic demonstrated by Monique, with small child and new bornI felt safe at the location and had no issue The people live their lives and don’t bother at all I have learned a lot just by observing and could see so much gentle humanity behind difficulties

We checked in late and Ruben was so nice and very helpful! The room was very clean, which was most important to me Our room was on the bottom floor beside the exit and people were coming in and out at all hours of the night and the door slammed every time The pumps for the shampoo and conditioner in the shower didn’t work

Breakfast was pretty good!Overall, it was a decent place to stay for the night if you are passing through

Erica

I was in town under not so great circumstances and had a few issues with rooms after checking in after 3am Keke at the front desk was very nice and patient and got me in a decent room for the night She even left a note for the manager, which made it easy to explain the next morning

Michelle took accountability for the hotel and took good care of us for the duration of our stay Nope, no credits needed All it took was a friendly face who understood the situation, apologized, and fixed it right away The ENTIRE staff was friendly and seems to enjoy their job! It gave me a little comfort when I needed it the most!

Sonal

The rooms were spacious, but no house cleaning done for the 4 days that we were there The breakfast was good But the lady cleaning and restocking the items was very upset about the number of people that were having breakfast

Multiple teams had booked that hotel for a 4 day tournament There was a time, she even lashed out on the kids Something that is not hospitality If the staff doesn’t like soo many people booked and having breakfast, then they should not entertain booking it Would never plan on going back there

We drove 7 hours to Atlanta to be treated poorly We checked in at 2pm, we didn’t even go into the room We went to get something to eat and we returned to the hotel 4-5 hours later

We were in the room for less than 30 minutes, my mother had to Lysol the entire room The shower was filthy and black, the couch was full of stains, the bed and sheets were yellow and stained The toilet did not flush, you had to press it down 4 times and the shower sounded like it was going to explode The backdoor was broken for security purposes We went to advise the manager and he and his wife were disrespectful and refused to refund our money due to these poor conditions They insisted we stayed for 4 hours which was never true, we checked in and went to get food We asked them to pull the security cameras if they actually worked since they had so much assurance They refused to pull the cameras to prove we never stayed in the room for 4 hours We ended up leaving and having to find another hotel after driving 7 hours We stayed at the Aloft Marriot right up the road I highly recommend the Marriot over this disgraceful placeNEVER STAY HERE!

We had an incredible stay at this hotel! We’re Hilton diamond members so we always try and stay in a Hilton, and the staff at this hotel were one of the best we’ve ever had We were traveling for a wedding with a 1 month old baby and the staff went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable and provide us with whatever we needed! Sekena at the front desk was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful!! She was such a warm face every day when we got back to the hotel and I knew she would always help with whatever we needed Anna at the breakfast restaurant was amazing as well! She recognized us every morning and was so quick with our coffee and drinks

She was so kind and such a hard worker, she made our breakfast experience excellent every morning!! These two women definitely deserve recognition for their hard work!

Adam Taylor

The only downside is that you have to request a mini fridge and a microwave Housekeeping removes them due to COVID Could clean them and put them back, but I get why they don’t

Ice machine on my floor was brokenAside from that, the staff is wonderful! They helped me a lot From booking through checkout, it was a pleasant experience The rooms are comfortable The beds are great to sleep in The shower and sink get warm quicklyIt’s one of the more expensive hotels in the area, but you get what you pay for

Olivia Battle

My family and I had a wonderful stay here Upon arrival, I checked in and saw my name on a large whiteboard propped up on the desk announcing that I was the “Guest of the day!” It was the cutest surprise, and I got to spin the wheel for a prize I won a complimentary breakfast! The staff was excellent and accommodating

The breakfast buffet was wonderful each morning and the staff was very attentive There was a large pool and gym on the property that I did not use but looked well kept I will say that the hotel rooms are dated but clean I really enjoyed my stay

This is a very nice hotel, and the rooms were clean and comfortable We had a problem with there not being enough towels available at the pool even though we had requested towels before we went down there We had to use hand towels from the gym area next to the pool

Also, just be aware that the breakfast buffet is not free I was surprised when I was handed a $13 bill It’s a really good hotel breakfast, better than other hotel breakfasts, and has a great variety, but it’s not free It is $13 per person Thankfully, though, kids do eat free Bring your own towels for the pool and calculate the cost of breakfast into your stay

If I could do 0 stars I would Stayed here a couple of weeks ago for my sons basketball tournament Air conditioner only halfway worked, or didn’t work at all

We were on the top floor and the only accommodation that they were willing to give me was to not charge me for my second night if I left If I stayed, they still would charge me full price and gave me one super dusty fan to cool my king suite that had 2 rooms The manager, Mr Lee, kept just saying he apologized I asked if he could go get a portable AC and he said there were no stores that sold that in the area Meanwhile there was a Home Depot 3 minutes away I’m also a Hilton Honors member and expected so much better

Andrei Kapitonov

I’d suggest to avoid this hotel The room was very dated, weared and it had strong smell This price is on par with far better options – don’t be confused! There was only one functional elevator out of two, and it was always a wait before you get where you need

I’ve seen lots of standard hotels, and this one is definitely below median

What a find! You’d never know from the secluded surroundings that you’re close to everything that you could possibly need Close to 400, the mall, a ton of great restaurants, and much more The staff and pool were great, my only beef is that you have to tell them, and remind them, if you want your room cleaned

Room cleaning is only done on Monday’s and Thursday’s To be fair, almost all lodgings have this policy now And if you need more towels and other things, they are more than happy to hook you up at the front desk The fair prices and full kitchen make up for any shortcomings Very nice, will stay there again! Check out the pictures to see the surroundings

Kay T.

There was a problem with the sink and garbage disposal in our suite and it caused a terrible stench from the moment we entered My boyfriend drank the tap water and got sick We believe it was connected to the garbage disposal issue

Also, there were no spoons in the suite, and they hadn’t come to clean our room in awhile We had to hunt them down to get towels and washcloths The place was dirty upon our arrival; dirty dishes, etc The room key didn’t work on several occasions Very disappointing

Great locationThe breakfast is delicious with sausage links, home style potatoes, scrambled eggs, and moreThe fitness room was good

There is no laundry facility on-site with the closest one being about 10-12 minutes awayThe three stars are because it seems a little rundown It is nice, but there are little details that let you know that this hotel is old including nicks, scratches, and dents on the walls and door sills The lights in our living room space didn’t work, so someone just came in and unplugged them and said he’ll get to them later It has been two days, and he hasn’t been back yetThe bathroom light doesn’t turn on immediately; there is a delayThe elevators are slow One of them tells you you’re on floor 2, but it’s really floor 1 Floor 3 is really floor 4While the housekeeping staff are working on your hallway, they yell to each other and play musicThe a/c’s thermometer was not right in our room I had to turn it to 65 degrees for it to turn onAll in all, these are minor things, but when added up, it feels a little less than what I expect from the Hyatt brand

the edge

I’ve stayed at this location several times when I’ve come into town for work and the service has always been top notch I believe the gentleman’s name is Jamal who works at the front desk and he’s always an absolute pleasure to deal with My last morning there I also dealt with a woman and I believe her name was Jackie as she was newer with the company, and she was also fantastic so good job on the hirings, it’s people like these two that make ones stay that much better

I have stayed at this particular Country Inn as well as in other states and was always very satisfied with my stays However, this time I had a rather unpleasant stay, and I would not stay at this one againThat said, the staff was very pleasant and helpful

But the hotel itself was rather tired and threadbare, the carpets were stained, and everything generally looked like it was just getting by and not being well maintained, cleaned, or kept up to dateIn particular, my first room smelled so bad of urine and mildew odor that I requested a room change The second room had a slight mildew smell as well, but it was not bad enough to be worth asking to change rooms again The air conditioners in both rooms had mold spots on the airflow fins and likely inside them as well The sheets and towels had stains on them, and the bathroom floor was so sticky when walking on it that I spent time washing it until I didn’t stick to it any moreMy other complaint was the continental breakfast It was truly pathetic – just some white bread and bagels, sugary dry cereal, and hard boiled eggsThe price and location were reasonable, and it wasn’t abysmal, but as I said, I wouldn’t stay there again myself

Check in was smooth They were nice up until they swiped my card I got charged for the night stay plus a $50 deposit

I questioned the guy at the front desk about it and he was very smug hardly explaining the charge saying it’s in case you break something Okay We got the whirlpool room The tub is in the bathroom itself Not very relaxing or romantic sitting in a whirlpool while staring at the toilet I’ve stayed at different country inn and suites with whirlpools and the tub is in the bed area Anyway I just asked for an extra sheet so I could cover up the toilet Worst part is when we came back after eating dinner there was no parking in the front so we parked in the back Not well lit at all We walked through the back door where the lock that you use your key card on didn’t work I asked the front desk about it and again very smug He didn’t care that it didn’t work Anyone can walk in without being seen Through the night we heard all kinds of activity in the halls Breakfast was the most minimal continental breakfast I’ve ever seen Bread for toasting, bagels and cereal I’m writing this review a week later and I’m still waiting on my deposit to come back I would seek other options if I were you

I’m giving this location a 2 stars and that’s purely for the hospitality of the employees we came in contact with That’s where anything good stopsI am seriously questioning all the ‘new and updated’ reviews

The room we stayed in was not updated at all The carpet up the stairs was torn, stained, and gross Everywhere I looked needed to be shampooed or vacuumed When we walked in to our room we were immediately hit with the stench of mildew and even running the a/c at 60 all day long it still was overpowering Only one of our key cards worked – but even that one stopped at 9pm the night before check out! The pool absolutely made me sick to my stomach It was so cloudy you could NOT see clearly the bottom of the pool and someone dislodged one of the inside pool lights and (still electrically attached inside the pool) draped it outside on the ground outside of itI will definitely never be back to this location

I’m a diamond member who travels often and when I travel, I prefer to stay in Hilton or Best Western usually every other week but this is my first time at this location and I’ve just decided, it will be my very last after I check out tomorrow I will be reporting their staff worker to corporate especially after I receive my usual survey after checkout The room is fine and also clean but heir front desk worker, Esther, has a nasty attitude that completely made me uncomfortable

She has no place in hospitality What a bitter and mean lady is She refused to let me in the hotel tonight since the lobby automatic sliding door was locked So all other entrances are locked after 9pm, so I had to enter through the front Any hotel I’ve been in with a locked entrance typically usually has a card reader for guests, for after-hours security She asked me my room number and I told her, while I also flashed my room key in the card paper sleeve in my hand She proceeded to dig up my “file” and walked uo to the front where I was and decided that I didn’t “look enough like” my license picture that they took a copy of Her exact words were, “this don’t look like you” She stood on the other side of the door pretty much saying expressing that I am not the same person and refused to open it I had to stand there basically begging and pleading for her to let me into the hotel and that she was basically keeping me locked out without access to my room and my belongings Not to mention, my teenager was in the room alone while I ran to the car to get her pain relief medication due to toothache-inducing braces pain She rolled her eyes then sucked her teeth and finally opened the sliding doors No apology or anything Just ghetto and classless Is this how you treat your customers? I’m definitely escalating this matter This is beneath BW standards for sure
