Heya Howdy

I had a horrible experience just trying to book a room for this weekend My son is graduating from boot camp and my ex-husband and I wanted to get separate rooms in the same hotel so the kids could go back and forth from room to room I booked a 2 night stay on their website, and got an email verifying so

4 days after booking my room I called to check on something and was told my reservation could not be located The hotel could not even find my info using my confirmation number After 3 different people and 30 minutes of wait time, I was told my reservation was cancelled the same day I booked it No answer as to why or by whom I didn’t cancel it The hotels system obviously had made a mistake or error Without trying to help me or offer any customer service whatsoever, I was told the hotel was now fully booked and I had to look elsewhere Even tho I still had my email showing when and what I had previously booked! How sad they didn’t even offer any help at all! Luckily I was able to find a room at another hotel close by My ex-husband said they had also messed up his reservation but he was able to fix it in time Please be VERY careful of booking on line with them If you do take that chance please follow up after doing so I will not be booking with them again as I’ve seen how they handle their own customer service issues

We came here because my son was graduating from The Navy Boot Camp which was 15 minutes away The rooms were very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful I came a second time to visit about a month later and had arrived early

My room was not ready yet so they offered me an upgraded room so I can get in a room instead of waiting in the lobby for a few hours I was very happily surprised and very comfortable There are stores and restaurants literally across the street so that was pretty handy too Very nice place and Devan at the desk was very helpful and friendly I highly recommend!! Plus great complimentary breakfast spread in the morning

This is by far the best quality inn motels I have ever stayed in! I have been to two other quality inn motels and they were horrible! This hotel has clean rooms, clean bathrooms and the beds were comfortable! The ONLY small complaint I have is the water pressure but other than that the temperature was phenomenal! When I went to check out I fixed myself a decaf coffee but they were out and they made me a fresh pot, beyond happy with my stay I definitely recommend this hotel! I don’t know if they have a laundry room or not but I do know they don’t have an elevator which is not a big deal since there are only two floors I will be staying here again! The mini fridge and microwave they have are also updated and big Love love love this place!

Stayed at this location due to its proximity to the Renaissance Faire I had booked online, informed the property I was bringing my service dog, and requested 4 extra pillows in my room (I am disabled) The pillows were not in the room

When I arrived to check in, the young man tries to charge me a pet service fee (against the company’s policy, and against ADA) I informed him you can not charge for service animals, to which he told me I still needed to sign the pet-fee paperwork agreeing to the service charge I annotated on the bottom of the paper that the animal was a service animal When the front desk gentleman saw what I had written, he told me “oh, I’m sorry You were supposed to sign the electronic version of the form instead” That form didn’t have anywhere to add in “service animal”, it just auto fills in your initials on all their pet fee agreementsOur room: the sheets had black fuzz all over them, one of the pillows had red dot stains that look like blood drops The room also smelled so strongly like mildew, it took almost 3 hours of running the AC to make it tolerableThe pool/hot tub: holy chlorine batman I think maybe a chemical test needs to run on the pool and hot tub after we were done swimming, we were so itchy from the residual chlorine left on our skin It felt like being stung by ants Even after 2 showers, it was still pretty badThe only redeeming quality this hotel has is: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! It is right in the parking lot of Gurnee Mills

I am disabled and have a service dog to help with my pain I 1st went to Rodeway Inn on Green Bay Road and the desk person refused follow the ADA law for service animals even though my dog had her service tagSo I went to Comfort Inn & Suites because their price was one of the lowest in the area

Dakota was the person on night duty He was very kind & polite, a complete opposite of the other hotel He had no problem accepting my service dog & de had a 1st floor room close to the front so I didn’t have to walk farI was surprised at how nice the room was It appeared to have been updated not too long ago The furniture was all in excellent shape, had a fridge & microwave The hotel is in a busy area next to the tollway but there way no noise inside the room from all the trafficAnd the best thing about the room was the bed! It was so comfortable I usually have a difficult time sleeping at hotels because of my back pain It the bed here was excellentOver all my stay was wonderful, better than I expectedI would highly recommend Comfort Inn & Suites & I will stay there again

I cannot say enough great things about this place My house had a carbon monoxide issue in the middle of the night that required us to vacate Not only did this hotel take us at 3 AM but they set up the pack n play in my room for my 1 year old daughter so I could get her back to sleep quickly

Loved the room- perfect for traveling with kids (separate door for after the baby went to sleep) AND our dog! Thank you so much for keeping us safe!

Bradley Stratz

Nice little place away from home Only issue that I had Told the service desk that I will have a late checkout

As I work nights and sleep through the day While I was sleeping I put the “do not disturb” sign up on the outside door As well as locked both the door handle and door stopper on the pillar The house keeping consistently ignored the sign and tried multiple times to get into my room while I was sleepingi was not able to get a good sleep They need to train their staff or communicate with their staff appropriately

Doesn’t even deserve the star nor my hard earned money My whole entire stay was nothing but harassment and disgust by management Never once we my room cleaned by housekeeping even when I asked them for it but still never did it the once a wk that they told me I needed to request for

I had to change my own lines and towels and kitchen stuff I also had to wash the stuff because I wasn’t always given the stuff Tried to get my money back from the bank they said I had to go through them Their customer service line isn’t helpful either They didn’t need to talk to management about my claim and they could’ve given me back my money because of the disrespect and disgusting service that I received there I feel bad for the front desk ladies that they have to deal with horrible managers They should never had gotten my money I should’ve gone and stayed at Extended Stay where they have bigger rooms and better kitchens and better service

Extremely friendly staff, especially Becka walking distance to CTCA but they also provide shuttle services every 20 minutes If you are a light sleeper make sure you ask for the parking side room not the street side

Most rooms air conditioner doesn’t meet the standards of someone from Texas 🙂 The water pressure could be a bit better but overall very pleasant experience There are only three handicap spots sharing with several other businesses so expect to either be dropped off by someone caring for you or plan to walk a pretty great distance

Anthony Street

Great location Good restaurants near by Coffee shop on site

Rooms were clean and comfortable It was quiet Good view Price was a little high in relation to accommodations, but not extremely high They also offer a chill meeting room Good for business or romantic travel But if travelling alone I would select a different hotel

GM Brian offered amazing customer service, but unfortunately that was the only decent service this location offers Odd smell in hallways and room, dirty floor in room, paper thin walls (I could literally hear the TV and conversation of the guests in the room next to mine), side door entrance card reader didn’t work so door was left unlocked which was concerning from a safety stand point Appreciated Brian’s attitude, but the hotel itself was just sad

Unfortunately, I am unable to recommend this hotel My favorite band was in the next town over playing their last show ever, so I booked a room here for the night At check-in, I was informed that they were actually overbooked and my room wasn’t available

I really didn’t even know this was possible, as this has never happened to me This put me in an extremely frustrating and difficult situation, as I was from out-of-town and all nearby hotels were either fully booked or had very inflated rates The woman at the front desk, Lupe, was very kind and apologetic and did give me a refund and a certificate for a free night, but this situation completely derailed and almost ruined my plans for the evening

Hampton Inn McHenry offered a friendly check-in There was a real door on the bathroom! Yay!! This was the only one of our entire 10 day road trip involving several Hampton Inn stays We were so happy for the privacy

If Hilton would consider using real hinged bathroom doors again, we would appreciate the change There was no hot tub as in the pool pictures online It’s spot was filled with concrete The hotel seemed newly redone, and the immediate area seemed nice Mostly it was surrounded by farmland but is within less than an hour of downtown Chicago

Not only did the hotel over charge my credit card SEVEN times they laughed about doing it Jacquline charged it when I checked in, Steven charged it on the way out When we were standing in line everyone else was getting print outs of their folios (receipts)

When it was mine and my fiancés turn, we checked out and Steven said the printer “broke” and he’ll work on it It broke conveniently when it was our turn to check out because Steven was well aware of what happened He said not to worry and he’ll email us a copy of our folio He did, and the receipt said we should’ve only been charged twice, half on debit half credit For a total of $37962 and that was fine I was expecting that However, on our ride home to Tennessee I noticed my credit card was charged 5 times and my debit was charged 4 times Each charge was for $18981 I called because my bank was sending me emails notifying me of fraud on my accounts I called and spoke with Jacquline and she essentially said that it wasn’t her problem, laughed and hung up I called back and spoke to the GM, he said he was terribly sorry, released the funds immediately and profusely apologized I called back when I saw 3 more pending charges on my credit card for $18981 and again spoke to Jacquline who then transferred me to Steven Steven said I have to deal with the bank because the payment wasn’t approved, the funds were released and he had to collect payment in order to check me out If payment wasn’t collected, why was I refunded money that I was overcharged? That was a lie because my card was never once declined, money kept being withdrawn My total should have only been $37962, but the total between my two cards was $1,32867 The payment was approved MULTIPLE times and they thought it was FUNNY to keep charging my cards I had to report it all as fraud, be sent a new card and go back and fourth with the bank about why this is happening Not only did over charge my card multiple times, they laughed about and continued to authorize it until I had to report it all as fraud because apparently charging someone’s card for hundreds of dollars is absolutely hilarious according to Jacquline I also requested housekeeping service on my second day, which I never received I had to, at midnight, make my own bed because the housekeepers didn’t My fridge also went out while I was there The engineering/maintenance department was the best part of the stay They were prompt and quick to fix that issue I will never stay at another Hilton property let alone a hole in the wall joint like this one I’ll be staying exclusively with Marriott after this HORRIBLE experience This is my first and LAST time ever staying at a Hilton property Avoid this property like the plaque I could get better service at a Motel 6 than this placeAlso the room was gross The window blind had stains all over it The bathroom vanity was held together with drywall screws There was hair all in the shower from the previous guest

Pros first: all employees were super nice, a joy to speak with, and very helpful Breakfast was basic, but good Good space in the room, and cool that they had hand sanitizer with the soap and lotion!Cons: there was a strong perfume/fragrance smell when we first entered the room, not sure if they use scented cleaners, but my mom is sensitive to smells and it was almost even giving me a headache and I’m not usually bothered by stuff like that

Other thing was one of our keys stopped working on the room door, and we overheard other people on 3 separate occasions (and we were only there overnight) working with the front desk staff to resolve key issues (not working at a side entrance or room door)Overall it was a fine experience, and I would stay there again if I was going to the area

Karis Haygood

There was a wait to check in which is understandable When I tried to check in the employee stated I had no reservation although I not only had a reservation but the room was fully paid for Once he finally found it things went smoother

The room was not the best but was comfortable We were awaken in the middle of the night by the hotels fire alarm and we could not find out any information on what was going on We could not contact the front desk for anything because the phone in the room did not work at all Check out was just as tedious as check in After waiting over 15 minutes for a staff member to come to the desk I finally used a phone in the lobby to call the front desk The employee answered and just told me to leave the keys on the counter The hotel is also going through some type of renovation because there was construction everywhere we went

Francesca P.

First, the good: Simple & clean Breakfast had good coffee and kid friendly options like yogurt and make-your-own waffles Beds were comfortable, and showers had ample hot water and good pressure

Some rooms were updated with newer finishes (showers, flooring & carpet) We had two rooms: one older & one newer Both were clean and met our needs The toiletries included a good body lotion that was particularly moisturizing It was a good valueAnd now for the bad: the door of my room (320) had two broken locks The dead bolt did not turn fully, and the security bar (at the top of the door) was broken off The carpet was visibly old and worn The top of the closet’s door frame was broken The breakfast area was clean but not restocked enough Each day something was not refilled: forks & tea bags one day, knives the next, dairy cream for coffee both days The counter bin for the coffee making garbage was visibly full both days and not emptied, despite the attendant walking by and looking at things, and then walking away and not taking care of these things I came down one hour and a half before breakfast was over so these things should have been restockedFor a hotel at this price point, it was decent If I return to the area, I’d probably look for one that cost a bit more, for a more reliable experienceI try to be fair and honest with my reviews to provide judgement-free information to help others make choices know what to expect If you appreciate or find this review helpful, please give a thumbs up below

I really liked the room environment quiet and peaceful with clean sheets but old towels were in the closet place just laying dirty Also, while completing my assignment for school Staff member cut the WI-FI off while submitting my work could not believe it Thanks for having good Professor at my University I did not get 10 % deduction for failing to submit my work on time

I am not picky and usually very easy to please, all I need is clean sheets and a quiet night I wouldn’t even complain about the whiff of marijuana I caught around the premisesBut when the neighbors next door wake me and my entire family up at 2am, (including 14yo daughter), by banging (on) the bed against the wall, this is where I draw the line for acceptable accomodations

My wife and I stayed here about a week ago it was a three-day visit We were in town for our son’s graduation from Navy boot camp which was just a few minutes awayOn the first evening about 1:30 a

m my wife woke screaming saying that something had bit her while sleeping She had multiple bites on the back of her leg and they got inflamed quickly I immediately went down to the front desk and they changed our room right away Even though we did not sleep well that first night the rest of the stay was fineI spoke to the assistant hotel manager late the next morning her name was TracyTracy told me they had the room inspected about 8 am that morning they did not find anything I told her obviously something was in the bed and bit my wife we even have photos and video to show it I told her there was obviously about a 5 or 6 hour gap from when we were in the room and when they had it inspected I asked her if there would be any type of compensation for that one night she said it was kind of out of her hands and it was a Marriott decisionI spoke to Marriott representative by phone and they told me the same thing that it was out of their hands and up to the hotel manager I left two voicemails for the hotel manager after our stay was done she did not get back to me she had Marriott call me and remind me that I would get no compensationThis was quite an inconvenience as I said we changed the room about 2 am ,we were up for the graduation at 5:30 am and barely sleptMarriott and the Courtyard Marriott Hotel assistant manager offered no type of resolution to us except “you say something happened and we cannot prove that it did”It was a terrible resolution they could have done something for us ,we paid to eat breakfast there a few days and we also paid and ate dinner and had drinks in the lobby for a few nightsMy wife and I travel a lot and I’ve never had an incident like this before in our lifetimeAgain the incident was not really acknowledged and was handled very poorly I would strongly advise anyone from staying in this hotel because it seems obvious to me if there is any type of conflict you will not get any sympathy or any type of resolution to the problemWe are highly disappointed and insulted in Marriott itself and in this hotel

The service was great the rest of our stay was drab Stayed on the first floor There were very few guests so it was quiet

We ending up keeping the curtains closed as there was a lot of garbage scattered outside our windowOur room was basically empty and not very welcoming The beds were rough and the bed frame clanked any time you moved Mattress definitely needs replaced- no bugs but still not in the best or cleanest shape Seeing that the bathroom was somewhat recently redone was refreshingThe pool is tiny and unfortunately during our stay was full of garbage We kept pulling out piece of broken plastic cupsThe location isn’t the best and the entrance into parking lot is TERRIBLE but I don’t think that really part of this specific hotel Overall I don’t think I’ll be booking here again

Room was very clean It looks like they are in the process of updating the rooms Some things looked really new while the carpet was worn out

But I was just happy to have a nice clean room The beds are decent Not as comfortable as home, but definitely not too bad for an affordable hotel The pool is saltwater, which was a nice surprise Staff was super friendly and personable Location is awesome too Next to Dunkin Donuts which is a must, and a short distance from Gurnee Mills and Great America Breakfast looked great! They had biscuits and gravy and they had waffle irons out Unfortunately, I was in a hurry in the morning and didn’t have a chance to try it I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area
