Now called Historic Sealy House – loved this place! Perfect place to stay for weekend in San Angelo! Called last minute to book, owner was nice and super helpful over the phoneClose to lots of shops and restaurants and the river walk area Historic building bed and breakfast, rooms are off a central hallway with high ceilings, original wooden floors and comfy beds

Best part for me: breakfast was left outside door in a picnic basket and was delicious!Would def stay here again next time I’m in town!

Our new favorite place to stay in San Angelo! If you’re staying a while, the Sand and Surf suite is perfect as a little home away from home Cannot say enough about the hospitality of the owners/staff – such great people Plus, it’s right downtown and an easy walk to great restaurants, bars/music/entertainment venues, the riverwalk, and multiple unique shops

Michaelle Richardson

Our stay was excellent! The hotel is just beautiful and our suite was so well decorated and also had everything we needed Great coffee and wine in the room! Owners are very accomodating and especially nice Although this time we were passing through on our way home, next time we will make it our destination! Great part of historic downtown and the river

We walked everywhere! We give this place a 6 out of 5!

Marriott became my preferred choice many years ago but this particular hotel has raised questions if I should remain loyal The experience was not value for money with breakfast quality being the biggest issue for me As a lacto vegetarian I already have less options

It was hard for me to believe when the service personnel said that all of ‘Marriott’ has removed 2% milk and Bread from its menu San Angelo is a great town and the people are awesome I trust this review will help serve the needs of lacto vegetarians like me in the future

Christa Collier

Was erroneously charged a no show fee I contacted the manager Jesse to resolve She confirmed that the room was not booked by me

I sent her proof that the travel agency that booked the room did in fact cancel the room, now she will not reply to my emails I am a Marriott rewards member who travels alot for work and am disappointed in how management refuses to take care of their customer knowing they were not at fault Will look at other hotel chains moving forward

dewey alford

Would not recommend staying here Staff is not friendly except for 1 staff at the front counter that I only saw twice I brought my emotional support k9 with me and my room was never cleaned

I understand it is a hotel but I never felt comfortable due to my experience while staying here I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere!

I stayed at this hotel for one night soon as I walked in I really liked the decorI walked up to the front desk the gentlemen at the desk was very nice and he checked me in real quick no problems at all I got up to my room my room was clean my bed was soft and comfortable

The put me in a room with a good view One of my requirements in every hotel that stay in that the shower water is hot and bathrooms re clean, my bathroom had both i was very happy After I got settled in I went down to the pool area, the pool was area was clean the water was super blue I was able to relax before workThe Next morning I got up went to the workout area I really like it another clean area and the equipment was up to date I went to the breakfast area the food was good everything was neat stocked and clean I would definitelystay here again

Mellanie Garza

Wingate is a really nice, super clean hotel with up to date decor and comfy beds They offer a good breakfast selection offering hot food and Texas shaped waffles! Housekeeping was super friendly and helpful But the star of the hotel is Kayla! My daughter and I needed a place to stay due to our AC unit being out in my house

Kayla went above and beyond to see that we were able to check in early and made sure our room was clean and ready as soon as we arrived The hotel was short staffed that day and Kayla had no problem jumping in to help where she was needed, ALONG with making sure the guests were taken care of in a professional business manner, followed by a great personality and super friendly and caring attitude! We LOVED Kayla! Don’t skip this hotel!! This place is awesome!!

Rebecca Tuminello

This location is not worth the cost, I have stayed at other less reputable locations than a Wyndham in San Angelo in the past that were much cleaner They do have potentially nicer and more modern rooms however the upkeep is disgusting I would take a more dated looking room over a dirty one

Sheets and towels are literally tattered, the bathroom has signs of prior guests and guests furthermore prior to them and so on This location was far from worth the cost you pay Spend the little extra and stay at the Courtyard by Marriott or save ten dollars and stay at the Microtel… it’s much cleaner

My wife and I stayed a couple of nights earlier in the weekThe hotel is nice Very modern and very clean

No continental breakfast here, but the bistro will make you an inexpensive custom breakfast The days of pawing the food in a hotel buffet are gone folks Get use to itGreat location to see what little there isWe had some great suggestions from our new friend Mariah at the front deskThis girl is perfect and professional She smiled and greeted us every time we passed Talked together like best friendsEvery hotel should build there customer service around herMariah was the highlight of our stay!

PetreczkoJan

Well, that was just about the poorest customer service I have had in a long time Arrived around 1215 PM and asked for an early check-in Look, I get it, check-in is usually later but unless there is no-vacancy from the night before it is pretty simple

The front desk looks at the occupancy, finds any open room, and hands me the key Here, it was a tough break, come back later attitude Not even an attempt to accommodate even after I asked for a double check This place is pretty big and tons of hotels surround it I even asked if full and got “unsure” response Great, see if there is a room please? Nope This really makes sense and I almost anticipated poor service because as I stood and waited to be helped she was nasty to a person on the phone claiming could not help get a total cost because of tax calc Maybe a rough estimate? Dang As a lifetime platinum customer, I have been to a lot of properties I haven’t even checked in and am already jaded about this place

I really enjoyed visiting with the owner of the mansion She was so helpful and hospitable The Mansion is so quaint and comfortable

This was a very reasonable price for so many amazing amenities Our room was spotless, and we loved our jacuzzi tub Breakfast was served at our door each day, and it was delicious and thoughtful We cannot wait to stay here again!! Highly recommend

Ginger Adams

If you like a fun quirky mansion with a lovely hostess and, good breakfast in a great location, this place is a very good option About 6 minutes from all the downtown activity TV was a little issue for us, but a lot of that was user error or lack of knowledge and subscriptions

We would definitely stay here again if travels find us in San Angelo

Angela Gonzales

Had a wonderful weekend at the Music Garden Mansion!! We stayed in the lavender suite and it was so adorable! The property is very well maintained and super clean The hot tub was nice & relaxing after a long day Very reasonably priced with a great location

Privacy was also very comforting right now since we haven’t all had the opportunity to get vaccinated I will definitely be back again when I’m in town!

As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a nice clean front area, sweet smelling aroma & a smiley front desk person!Rooms and beds were suburb!Great stay! One of the greatest I’ve ever had a hotel Breakfast was delicious!Definitely will come back!

Denise Pearson

Very friendly front desk staff and a very spacious, comfy and clean room to spend the night! Excellent water pressure in the shower with the toilet and shower in separate spaces is awesome- just had to mention that! Only 10 minutes from Goodfellow AFB made it easy to visit my son for the weekend A nice breakfast included in the price every morning was also a plus Restaurants, stores, gas stations and even the mall within minutes from the hotel made it a win win!

Teresa Washington

Front desk staff was EXTREMELY friendly and nice but either their system is dated or they don’t know what they are doing They gave my son a room and when he entered the room, another guest was already in that room This situation could have completely gone wrong because as I addressed the front desk what if that guest had shot my son or pulled a gun

How do you not know that a guest was already in that room? So unacceptable, and they should have given my son a discount on his stay but they didn’t still unacceptable to say the least My oldest son and his wife’s room, was NOT clean so they had to go downstairs and get another room as well and even the second room the trash cans contained trash Now, my room Bed made but full of hair so that led me to believe either the sheet were not changed or not cleaned well thank God I’m in a habit of bringing my own sheets So after I Lysoled the bed I changed the sheets The AC unit was untouchable and I’m serious It was pure disgusting I had to wipe it down with several Lysol wipes before I could change the thermostat In these day and times hotels for the cost you charge cleaning cannot be sub-par Very disappointed in these rooms

The service and accommodations are excellent with the exception of the dining room, I’ll explain after these comments The staff ALL of the staff are amazing! I stayed here for 2 weeks for work and I would definitely come back, because of the staff and the roomsNow for the dining room I was told the air conditioning in the dining room has been broken for about 2 years

I was here in April… Milder weather, 90’s The ladies stayed positive while constantly wiping sweat from the u bearable heat in the dining room I as a customer would have definitely appreciated air conditioning as well There were 2 fans blowing the hot air around but this is UNACCEPTABLE !!!!!!!! O customer should have to sit in a room to eat at 90’s temp And worse, the staff should not either! I feel for them with the upcoming SUMMER heat!!!!If you truly value your AWESOME staff and guests, fix the air conditioner, or replace it!!!!!!!!

Sabrina Daves

The only reason we stayed at this Hampton in was because it was the cheapest we could get And there are plenty of reasons why it’s cheap The rooms had a very weird not totally off putting smell, but it wasn’t pleasant

While the ladies were pleasant during breakfast, you have to wait for one of them to serve you It made us very uncomfortable, and ruined breakfast for us the 3 nights we stayed On top of having to wait for someone to serve us there was no AC in the breakfast area At least it was working in our room There were house cleaning tools laying around the hallway During a previous stay with my parents the toilet backed up and we ended up going to get our own plunger because the front desk person couldn’t be bothered to fix it or get someone to come up to fix it Definitely the worst Hilton we have stayed at I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone A Motel 6 is a huge step up from this one

Ken Davidson

Hampton Inn has a big problem The AC in the lobby and breakfast area of this property has been out since sometime last year Local management can’t get approval from corporate to get it repaired

Local management of a hotel property should be able to keep things in good working order without corporate management involvement We stayed just one night of a six night need We finally left after having an unpleasant breakfast experience Imagine trying to converse and eat in the middle of a hot West Texas whirlwind! On the brighter side, the front desk staff, especially Ruby, was very pleasant and helpful A

Check in was quick and easy! The lady at the front desk was so so kind and attentive She answered all of my questions and did her best to make me and my family feel welcome! Upon arrival, our room and bathroom was super clean The air conditioner was at a nice and cool temp

Loved that!!There are lots of snacks and beverages in the lobby and the breakfast is great! I will definitely stay here again!!

Chris Teague

I travel extensively for work; this location ranks in the bottom 5% of all customer service failures in my career Having prepaid extra for 2 rooms on the same floor through Hilton customer service (sent to them by this hotel); the manager argued against honoring this agreement and purchase for nearly an hour I had already spent 2 hours prior to arriving obtaining this purchase and now another hour arguing with this manager

Add to this the added costs of the rooms with her desire not to provide me the agreed rooms and anyone can see this location is not run with a customer-oriented team I recommend you steer clear of this location at all costs Oh, and to top it off – I found the below beast in my room the morning of checkout!

kevin smith

The rooms are nice But that’s it After three days I asked for the beds to be made and trash emptied

They told me you have to request the room cleaned 24 hours in advance I asked for more towels as the 2 in the room weren’t enough for the 4 of us I was told I could go to the housekeepers closet and grab them my self I emptied the trash and left it in the hallway where it sat for 2 days

First off, I want to say that the room (125) that we stayed in was excellent! We came into town to visit my dad for a few days and I was very pleased with our stay, from the front desk reception to the check out, they were all amazing and very friendly! The water pressure and hot water from the sink could be improved or looked at but other than that it felt like home away from home! Thank you! We will be returning!!!!

Abby Paynter

I was in San Angelo for work, my company put me up here, and it was greatStaff was friendly The only issue was with was the outlets, I hadn’t plugged much in other than my hair straightener, and it blew a fuse 3x

Quick fix, not big dealI used the gym daily, wish I was bigger and 2/5 cardio machines didn’t work and were brokenTheir trash service was great, fast and efficient I highly recommend staying here if you’re traveling to SA for an extended time I’ve stayed at the Home2Suites (in SA- next door) and Residence Inn was nicer and the rooms made it feel more like an apartment rather than a hotel room

Kimberly Miller

My family of four stayed at this hotel to participate in a baseball tournament over the weekend Our room had one bed and the sofa bed, so we brought a cot for our second child The hotel was great in all respects, with the exception that the sofa bed was broken and unusable

Upon bringing it to the attention of the receptionist, we were advised we could not switch rooms and no solution was offered Thank goodness we had the cot and our other child could sleep on the sofa; otherwise, someone would be sleeping on the floor We were offered points upon checkout, but I’m not a Marriott member, so what does that matter? We booked a room counting on that bed and we didn’t get it
