One of the worst places in Sandpoint This place is absolutely not kid friendly My mother in law drove all the way from Kentucky to come visit all the grandkids and paid for a two bed room in advance months ago but once she got to the lodge and let the owners know that her grand kids would be coming and visiting for the day, the hotel checked her in and gave her a one bed room and the room was cheaper than what they had charged her for, to make things worse they then told her that they didn’t want any kids stepping foot on the property

It was all in all shocking and the worst service I have ever heard of My mother in law ended up asking for a refund and went to Best Western which was a lot more accommodating and was just as beautiful if not a lot better I would recommend going to Best Western over this dump

My oldest and dearest friend moved to Kentucky quite a few years ago She hasn’t been able to see her kids and grandkids too much since she moved, so she decided to plan a vacation so she could see her family She started planning for this vacation ahead of time and reserved a room at the lodge

The lodge had beautiful pictures look like a dream come true When she finally got to the lodge, she was told that she couldn’t have the room she reserved My friend took that in stride She also was told that her grandkids were not welcome in the property to visit my friend I believe the website stated 13 years old and younger stay free After all that, the owner preceded to offer a refund to my friend because she was no longer welcome Places like this should be in business This didn’t ruin her vacation, she stayed at another hotel and got to visit all her family I wouldn’t stay here, the expense isn’t worth the lack of customer careOh and to the owner: instead of making excuses for your behavior, like you did to the other review, maybe apologize Just a tip

Overall this is a great place Got room w view The view of Lk Pend Oreille, mountains and Sandpoint is beautiful

Fortunately the main room is well sound proofed when doors are shut, so you will not hear highway Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area 2 hottubs work great Private beach access is great Breakfast provided was simple but plentiful n tasty: pastries, fruits n tea n cofee Minor issue: no more restaurants in the resort But there are plenty of restaurants of all variety in Sandpoint within 3 mi from the resort

Hotel Ruby in Sandpoint was a pleasant stay I stayed here a while back and it was nice The hotel is modern and has a relaxed atmosphere when you walk through the doors to the front desk

The main area is spacious as well Though one downside might be how dark it is inside, there wasn’t much natural light The hallways were also darker as well, making it not comfortable to walk through at times They might have fixed that though since I’ve stayed here The room was nice, small but adequate! Nice little bathroom as well with plenty of towels and toiletries included The view was pretty as well, a nice mountain View Even considering the two downsides I mentioned, I would stay here again! Nice affordable hotel for a short stay

Stayed in the king jacuzzi suite!!! The jacuzzi was wonderful, the room was clean beyond my (very high) expectations and the bed was a dream! The pool and hot tubs

yes they have 2were also clean and the pool was warm!!!! I love this hotel I really think that for the price you get all that and a bag of chips The staff is kind, personable and accommodating Love it there!!!!! Go stay and see for yourself!!!

The King suite is one of the best in the area, with a giant whirlpool tub in it and some kind of exotic vapor fireplace contraption

I don’t know how to explain it but it’s awesome I would consider myself to be more on the “common folk” side in my every day life, as in I don’t have a remote control steam fire in my bedroom so that I can pretend to emerge from hell or intensify my metal air guitar exploits I’m guessing it is supposed to be more of a mood setting device, but honestly the giant whirlpool, expansive bed, and full bar across the street would have done the trick Having said that we did spend at least an hour on our phones looking for where to buy a steam 🔥

These people are amazing! I am traveling for work and they are super accommodating! The room is the cleanest I have ever seen It is a very charming little motel but I feel it needs a better name other than motel It’s like little cottages! Fresh hanging plants give it a charming feel! There are no scummy people living here

I feel safer here than the more expensive places in town

Rose Vlieger

This place is awesome! Our room was much bigger than we expected and was super clean The bed was big and very comfortable Sheldon, the manager was great! He was very nice and very attentive to our needs

It may appear older but we liked it better than any of the higher priced and newer places we have stayed If you get the chance to come through Sandpoint, this is the place you will want to stay! Thank you Sheldon for making our stay the best part of our trip!

Super convenient to park and be done with it and just go skiing and on a miniature pub crawlStaff was super friendly and helpful, they always asked if we needed anything as well as one guy that I think works maintenance gave lots of good ski info Having the daily grooming report helped make us decide how hard packed the AM to PM grooms would be

They gave us a discount for breakfast but it’s too bad they didn’t have coffee in the lobby or even just basic breakfast grab and go things like fruit, yogurt and pastriesPool area seemed a bit under construction and small hot tubs got full fast Hopefully they will put in more or bigger ones when the new construction is doneAs long as Mt Hood Meadows keeps a ticket exchange program in the next years I’ll definitely wait back

Bill Kilcullen

Great place for summer getaway Resort rooms are large, comfy and well equipped Note, construction is going on so village is disrupted and there is some extra noise and dust

Scenery is amazing and activities are ongoing Hike, bike, take a horse ride or chill out at the pool Be prepared for a great mountain road drive with switch backs of 180 degrees ! Hope you have a sport model to drive! 🤠

Started check in with staff that was less than enthusiastic to see us The hotel is pretty dated and our curtains have a large tear in them Seems clean enough minus the 1 pillow case that doesn’t match

The location is very convenient though with a great restaurant in the hotel and a spa within walking distance The park and lake is probably fun in the summer

Susan Chivers

A very clean and slightly older hotel set right on the lake and slated for substantial renovation (expanding footprint add adding another floor? )You cant beat the current set up of walking outside from your room to sit with your coffee and look at the lake and all the comings agree goings Would imagine a price uptick when renovations are completed tho So, I’d go now if you can 😊Oh, it also has a good restaurant (Trinity) residing there

Fab Sunday brunch, and good breakfasts, lunch and dinner They also provide room service Though it’s a very short walk to any number of good restaurants in town Note: Trinity has said they will not be there after renovations, so check 😁

We did enjoy our time there however, the camp showers were not in operation and we had a little trouble finding where the dog area was We think we found it, but it was a little over grown The good news is we weren’t far from a forest service campground that has a dog beach! Really enjoyed our trip there and the people we met

Campground hosts were excellent and helped with my minor water issue with my rv I would go back again
