We were traveling to Ogunquit for the first time and didn’t know the area We chose Ogunquit Hotel and Suites based on location and availability It turned out to be an amazing location and a great place to stay

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, the huge pool and hot tub, and the convenience of the location The only downside was the game room The kids tried to go there to play games but the machines didn’t work This didn’t matter to us as we’d rather swim and do other things anyway Overall, when we go back to this area again, we would gladly stay here again!

Rooms are nice and spacious All services offered that I used were awesome Hotel is in a decent location close to some other hotels right off Rte

1 in Ogunguit (close to the Moody town line) Hotel staff / front desk staff was very helpful and extremely nice people Overall it’s been an amazingly great stay and the best part is they accepted the voucher I was on, so that helped even more I have nothing but good thing’s to say about this place and highly recommend it

This place is beautiful! The rooms were great, and the location is perfect Just to point out, each room is decorated differently, and Housekeeping only cleans your room before and after your stay and will not come in during your stay The rooms are like a little home near the beach

Interesting that this place still has actual metal keys to open the door The pool was warm, and they also have a laundry mat here They give you plenty of towels in the rooms and extra linen in the closet if so needed

I’m in my room here right now, and this is a very nice room, and very well maintained property, with a very friendly staff If I am ever near here again, I would definitely stay hereMy only very minor complaints is the wall AC didn’t work, although it was comfy without it, I like fan noise at night

And there is a smoking area outside my room ( sort of self designated by other guests, so not really the motels fault)But the cleanliness of the room, and bed comfort were world class! And very reasonable price Again, staff was very friendly in pointing out places to eat, and directions to the beach, a cool guy

We have stayed regularly at the Towne Lyne Motel when we’ve visited Ogunquit Although the motel is on Route 1, it’s quiet and peaceful, with a very nice riverside sitting area in the rear The rooms are nicely furnished with comfy chairs, desk, etc

and good comfortable beds The place is a bit old-fashioned in style, but who wants to stay in one of those concrete box hotels anyhow?

Bryce Claburn

We stayed for 4 days recently, and had a great experience, very friendly workers here, and very clean The back smoking area is very nice as well, sitting next to the river in the gazebos and cooking on the grill was awesome, then when night came we sat by a propane fire pitGreat experience all the way around and, i will deffinetly be staying here again

We booked on a third party site and unfortunately I missed a small detail and the room wasn’t the one I wanted…we have stayed there before so I immediate caught the error My advice to travelers is spend the money for the premium rooms, they are nice 🙂

The wonderful lady at the desk jumped right in to help with a solution for us (2 couples-2rooms) She could have been really impossible and dismissive of the issue, but her genuine ability to work through an amicable solution started our trip out right We have stayed here probably 10 times over the years and continue to go back Easy walking (maybe 1/4 mile to center of Ogunquit), but what we love most is indoor/outdoor pool (both are nice) and a hot tub Lesson learned for me (to ensure I stay on hotel site when I book that I am more familiar with and miss clicking on a room I didn’t want) but it all ended well in the end I feel embarrassed I missed her name, but she is an absolute asset to this hotel Thank you again for giving us a great night away and working hard to keep your guest coming back!!!

Decided to do a small vaca away from Mass this weekend So glad we decided to stay at Sea View Matt was very nice at check in, got to the room and was surprised how roomy it was! Very clean, and our favorite part was how comfy the beds were

They have a pool which is also nice, but we were out and about all weekend so we didn’t have time I highly recommend Sea View It’s set in a perfect location close to restaurants We will definitely be back someday!

Theo Tilton (Theotiltoncoaching)

You can definitely tell that this used to be a motel on the cheaper side And they have been taken over, renovated, and getting premium prices, they’re only getting away with this because they can Ogunquit Maine is a very trending fun filled beautiful beach, relaxing, food and drink vacation area

Many places in this area go for more than 500 to $750 a night So to find something in a reasonable range under $350 per night, you get what you pay for However these elevated prices are simply because of the beautiful charm of the town and the history and unity present here However this hotel they literally put lipstick on a pig They did their best to refurbish, refreshing, renew, and the pictures definitely describe it accurately what it looks like inside However, this is definitely a motel, not a b&b or a hotel So do not expect any bonus amenities With the exception of the pool, and linen’s service

Bhavesh valand

Clean place to stay with friendly staff We always need a single night in Maine before we can have access to our condominium and this place was perfect Plenty of room for our family of 5 with 3 teen boys

Full kitchen and dining area, beds were comfortable and the AC kept the rooms cool on a really hot night Was quiet (we were in 12F top floor) and near the indoor and outdoor pools (although we didn’t use them) Local restaurant (Mikes seafood) was very close and I recommend the stop there This is our view from the master bedroom Was lovely

The owner was very nice I booked a room with 2 double beds but was given a cabin Would have preferred the room with 2 double beds as the beds were in 2 different rooms and the TV in one of the rooms had no power cord to it so it was unusable

Also difficult to hang out together in the 2 separate rooms But it was only 1 night so we made due Cottage was updated and clean The grounds were very nice with 2 swings and patio furniture available There was smoking allowed outside and it was windy so it was kind of nasty to be outside or on the screened porch and smell the cigarette smoke from people smoking outside of their rooms All in all a very nice place and very well kept

Update 22022: stayed here again last summer

It’s a great place, very friendly staffRecommendation: opt out on the suite It’s very out dated We were a bit disappointed Other than that this place is great We will be returning!!What? 1 star – no way! We stayed here a few days last year and loved it! Super friendly staff The inside of the motel is small, the room we had didn’t have a microwave, however the room was super clean, and the outside yard was very welcoming and relaxing

My daughter and I stayed here last night while on a work trip and we would definitely stay here again! We got a king bed and it was comfortable I asked for extra pillows and they immediately got them although the large pillows they provided already were enough, I just have sleep apnea and needed more The room was clean and smelled great

The front desk workers were pleasant Last year we stayed at a hotel up the street and it was over $350 for the night and while it was nice, it really wasn’t that much of a step up compared to this hotel We will be back!!this hotel

B.F. Maine

Very nice hotel with a great location and thin thin walls I stayed in a king bed room The hotel looks and feels new and clean

No stray hairs or any other issues that are found at so many hotels Bathroom was very nice as well My only issue is that the walls are super thin I could hear my neighbors conversation word-for-word, including her speakerphone call, where I could hear the caller word-for-word as well Luckily they went to bed and woke up at reasonable times, but different people staying there or kids, it would have been probably too much to sleep

SilentBob02

I was travelling with a buddy of mine and reserved a room with 2 queen beds weeks in advanced in order to ensure one would be available After a long days drive, the hotel clerk informed me that the room we were staying in had a king bed and a sofa bed When I showed her my e-mail confirmation showing the 2 queens, the only explanation I got was that these mixups happen sometime and the 2 queen rooms were all booked but that, ” there ARE 2 beds

” I was furious but it was late and I just wanted to get to sleep So we paid for a room in advanced and one of us ended up having to sleep on a couchI do want to say, on a very positive note, that the breakfast staff was amazing They were very kind and attentive and really made me smile just by being very cheery and attentive Those ladies were wonderful and there was a wide selection of foodsI just wish the room situation didn’t leave such a sour taste in my mouth

We stayed in a queen room on the second floor and although the bed was very noisy, we had a great stay The room is very small but we expected the size with an historical inn built in 1799 We were also made aware by a note in the bathroom that the water takes a while to heat so that wasn’t a surprise at all

I loved the fact that the inn is historic and even has a resident ghost, Silas! I was disappointed to learn the restaurant wasn’t open during our stay, we missed it being open by a day, but I’ve read great reviews and hope to try it again on another trip to the area My husband and I sat in the rocking chairs on the front porch and watched the world go by Needless to say it was very relaxing Parking was directly behind the inn and the ease getting to the room was appreciated My only recommendation is to provide a cooling fan for the rooms We were there the second week of May and it was unseasonably warm during the day so the room was a bit hot We left the windows open and when night came, our room was very cool Overall, a great stay

We thoroughly enjoyed a work dinner here a few weeks ago Our servers were attentive and friendly and the food was amazing We loved the tater tots–try them, it might sound dubious at first, but they were easily our favorite appetizer! We got to meet Nick, the chef, before our dinner and we were impressed by his manner as well as his cooking

Maybe we’ll get to stay sometime and enjoy the inn, but so far, we highly recommend the restaurant!PS Also loved the historical character and nods to the past left in the building Will be back!

I had dinner at The Tavern and it was excellent I had the crab stuffed citrus ravioli and it was topped with succulent shrimp and mussels I also found the perfect wine to pair with my meal, on their great wine list

Dessert was a creamy salted caramel cheesecake that was just mouth watering! The atmosphere is warm and comfortable And the service by Deb was fantastic! I’ll definitely be back!

The place was falling apart I’m assuming these reviews are for the previous owners when the site was in better condition When you pull up to the building the second floor porch is held up with support beams, you can’t walk on it

There is a mountain of trash in the driveway The room hardly had hot water, the bed was some old mattress, and the blanket was dirty with stains all over it

This hotel was cleaner than most 4-star hotels I have visited The price is amazing but they don’t sacrifice the cleanliness in order to keep the price low My family and I were very pleased

Although we didn’t spend much time in our room, we were also pleased to find that the cable package had channels that appealed to everyone in the family At this price, and this level of cleanliness, we WILL be back!

After seeing all the previous reviews I was excited and confident about choosing this location to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday When we arrived late the check In process was seamless and smooth The interior of the lobby was cute and cozy

And the location of this establishment was convenient Now for the bad news Everytime we left or returned we had to deal with people smoking weed in the parking lot They were in their car, then in outside in the parking lot with a joint or bong It made things awkward It got to the point where our room smelt like weed We had to have the sliding door open because our AC did not work and it was at least 90 degrees The shower had interesting water temps, none that included hot I also felt like I was drying myself with an old ratty dishtowel On a positive note, the bed was comfy and the tv seemed to be large! Also I want to mention on the phone the staff is extremely nice and a pleasure to work with Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again

This is our favorite place to stay in Ogunquit and we’ve been customers for years We spend all day on the beach so an ocean view property isn’t a priority for us (if that’s what you like, try Sea Chambers, their sister hotel, it’s amazing) Not only is this motel a great value, it’s a great location, clean, comfy, fabulous hot tub, friendly staff and the best morning coffee in town

Gerda Brown

This is a centrally located, pet friendly place, very friendly, nice comfortable studio rooms We only were there for one night We found the staff very friendly

First time staying there but might want to come back The location is great!

Quaint, old guesthouse Definitely a viable option for your hotel dollars over the chains They weren’t really sweet up for business travelers though as the desk is not continually manned and breakfast doesn’t start until 8

My room was large and clean, albeit with a very small showerRecommended

Stephen Priest

I have only eaten once there and that was for Thanksgiving The table decor was interesting and they used real acorns in their decorations I had to keep my very young son from playing with them

The food was good This was years agoI visited during the free 🆓 comic book day that was happening across the state I ran into an old friend and we got caught up on events The room for the convention, that Jetpack Comics Ralph DiBenardo was in charge of, seemed a little small, but, the outside was also being used as well Nice looking garden Decent amount of parking 🅿️Good place to rent space for a medium to large gathering

Liked• Dustin, the owner, was friendly and helpful The room is clean and very comfortable It’s a very quiet location, despite being, literally, a few moments’ walk from the beach

As a birdwatcher Iparticularly enjoyed the sparrows living in the birdhouses outside the window, and the views of egrets, a Bald Eagle, grackles, redwings, someof warbler and a sweet little flycatcher Birdwatching from my window is very appealing

Wells is a nice, quiet, seaport town with classic New England bones and people Moody’s is exactly what you would expect if you wanted to get away from a modern hotel, and settle in with a homey New England cottage right on the ocean You can feel the mid-20th century vibe talking to you as you rock on the wooden porches and feel the salty air breeze through

My only complaint is that, even expecting an old school seaside motel setting from 1980, I thought that the house and grounds could have been better kept up Not a game breaker, but just a bit bothersome Also, you get surrounded very tightly on all sides (there are two story and duplex units) by tourists and you can’t help but run into or see them all the time because of the shared common areas and converging lines of sight from the porches and patios Still, the proximity to the ocean, nice locals, and OUTSTANDING restaurants more than makes staying at Moody’s worth your while

Dolores Parsons

I enjoyed our stay It was a nice clean older cabin A older vibe of New England In our bathroom there was a antique looking soap dish

Cabins boasting a porch on both sides so 1 towards the Rachel Carson Reserve, and one facing the sea A nice touch I was up watching sunrise on beach and Rachel Carson reserve 2 0ut of 3 mornings The short walk to the beach is pretty and the whole experience had a great family vibe The host greets you as you pull up, the office was closed due to Covid 19 to protect everybody’s health Dustin the Mgr Owner was happy to give the layout of the neighborhood, and was happy to answer all questions

I went up this past weekend for a Mother’s Day get away I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel as it had a 2 star rating The room was big and the beds were comfortable

There was a full size fridge, microwave We asked for a coffee pot which the happily gave The pools were great we enjoyed the hot tub The view was lovely with a fantastic sunrise ! Close to the downtown and Perkins Cove We enjoyed ourselves so much we have booked again for the upcoming weekend with our grandson The staff were super nice & accommodating!

Excellent accommodations Very Clean and updated with new paint and windows two years ago New pool chairs and umbrellas this year

We have been going there for ten years now and plan on going back again next year Two pools, one inside is heated , a greenhouse effect Big field adjacent to buildings to play volleyball, or toss the football around, corn hole etc Outdoor grill also available View of the ocean marsh in the back of property Coffee and tea provided all day Room has fridge, microwave and should you need a toaster, you can ask them in the office to provide it We didn’t have maid service at our request but could ask them to swap out our towels as needed I was bringing out our trash and it was taken from me by staff before I reached their dumpster Bed was king size (upon request) and very comfy Room is good size with much room to move about without feeling claustrophobic Close to downtown, beaches and restaurants Trolleys available for transportation Leave your driving to them

Carol Grimes

The room was not really updated, but not really outdated Biggest issue was the beds The room we rented was supposed to have 2 queen beds, these had to have been doubles, not way they were queen, they were also not very comfortable and squeaked with every turn in bed

The room was clean and smelled fresh when we walked in, housekeeping really seems to be on par The indoor pool was nice and the outdoor area had a pool and hot tub, I used the hot tub briefly and that was also nice The listing said breakfast but there was only coffee Wifi was good, close to beaches and centrally located near to all the near by beaches such as York, Wells, Kennebunk, etc, not a bad place, I would not go back to that room for the price we paid- about 150/night, though it was a holiday weekend It looks like the prices are normally about 100/night regularly which seems a bit steep for what we got, but not a bad place to stay, just basic and a good location
