Upon arrival, check in staff was very rude I don’t know why I continued to be friendly despite the way I was being treated

He just made my whole visit unpleasant On a brighter note My room was clean and my bedding was fresh The bed was comfy I wanted to see if the hotel had a a la carte item for sale, so I called to the front desk to see if they did Once again the same front desk person was rude he assumed I was trying to get a freebie, and rudely explained to me why they couldn’t give that item away I said I wanted to know if there was any u could buy? There wasn’t , which was all he needed to say I guess my profile didn’t meet his standards!Breakfast in the morning was nice a good variety and kept clean The woman was very friendly Upon checkout I was treated much better by a very pleasant woman Thank goodness!I feel if People don’t like people they should not work in customer service!!!!

Very nice, updated hotel The staff were amazing – friendly and knowledgeable We came with a group of 8 teenagers for an event in the area and they had no trouble or complaints with accommodating our group

The breakfast was excellent for a hotel breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised to find bacon on the buffet The rooms themselves were recently updated and very nice and clean Bring your own K-cups for use in the in-room Kuerig Their options on that are limited but available Although we didn’t utilize it, the proximity to a Cracker Barrell (just a hop and skip from the front door) could be an added bonus We will return!

Clean, comfortable room Nothing fancy The room had a few damaged spots on the wall but they were small

The room was probably over-priced but that’s more a result of the market No complaints about the room or the staff Wasn’t crazy about the $100 damage deposit I had to pay upon checking in – that was unexpected and not disclosed beforehand But if you’re just passing through and need a clean room for a night or two, this is a good option

Hannah Elford

Booked through Bookingcom 5 days in advance Had a confirmation email and number, but hotel did not have the information for our stay

Thankfully, they had room and they treated it as a “walk in” When I pulled the comforter bad, there was a hair on the sheets Old fashioned rubber bath mat grossed me out A/C unit did not cool effectively Overall price was good, but I would have rather paid more for a much cleaner, renovated, and comfy-feeling place

Sharon Futral

We were there to attend a concert at the Amphitheater and found this hotel nearby Very, very pleased with the hotel It was exceptional clean, fresh/modern and really like the layout and design of the King room

Someone gave a lot of thought into the design for it was spacious and very practical with design and elements Best Mini fridge I’ve encountered on my travels with great depth and overall capacity The bathroom was spacious, and the full wall length vanity was a plus for unloading both our toiletry bags Used their shampoo/conditioner and was very impressed with the brand (RAIO) – kept touching my hair throughout the day for it was soooo soft Ended up ordering the product from Amazon The bed was very, very comfortable The front desk and hotel personnel were super friendly, astute, and go out of their way to help you The hotel is conveniently located to various restaurants and shopping areas yet secluded from noise and traffic I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area and highly recommend this hotel!!

I’ve never stayed in a Motel 6 before We were driving down to Florida and were desperate because it was 1am after 7 hours of driving and not a single place had an available room except this motel Honestly, it was not as bad as we were expecting

I think we got lucky this motel had just been renovated which made it nicer than what I was expecting for a motel 6 We stayed on the 2nd floor and the AC worked great The towels are definitely only large enough for kids under 10 and the water pressure was finicky, but overall everything else was fine! No bugs, no smells, and no stains Also, we never heard people through the walls or walking by outside which we have experienced at other hotels

Bryan Fernandez

This was my first experience with Motel 6 and to be honest maybe my last We arrived at the check in counter and that went smooth but once we arrive to the room it had a smelled like the room had been locked for a couple months, one of the queen beds head rest was broken when we laid down the one side ended up falling from the wall and that’s there I notice a big ball of hair stuck to the anchor that hold the head rest Pillows had stains it was a very unpleasant experience

Pickles Titanium

It was ok There was no shower curtain on the bath, just a cloth covering that allowed water to drip onto the floor The room was clean, but the beds were hard

Don’t believe the sign or pictures There is no spa room nor a swimming pool Vending machines were old, and ice machine was broke Overall it was ok, as long as you can work around the issues we seen

THERE IS NO POOL!!So, we’re currently in a double bed extended room, non-smoking The room is very spacious (about the size of 2 full rooms) 2 double beds and a twin pull out, 2 burner stove top, microwave, full size fridge, 2 seat dinette, desk with chair, hair dryer, iron and iron board, and a single serve coffee that doesn’t work

*Update on room: forgot to mention there are no dishes, silverware or pots/pans in the roomDouble beds are clean and relatively comfortable The twin pull out is scary When opened up there was a used face mask on top, several of the frame springs were missing and/or broken, there is a foam topper that is ripped in several places (& is only 1″ thick at most) and the mattress is literally ripped along the seam There was no extra bedding in the room for the pull out I went to the front desk to get some and was told there are no extra pillows available Front desk woman was very friendly and as accommodating as she could be She gave me an extra blanket to use as a pillowwhich we are using as extra paddingThere is supposed to be fresh coffee available 24×7 in the breakfast area but it was empty When asked, we were told that the owner does not allow the staff to touch the machines so we wouldn’t be getting any coffee Again, the woman was very pleasant considering she has no authorityThis is not a 5 star hotel so do not expect that I don’t think it’s worth what was paid ($114 +tax), but it is Saturday and almost every other hotel/motel was sold outThey say breakfast is included but we’re not sure what exactly breakfast will be I’ll update in the morning when I know*Update on breakfast: juice machine with apple, orange, cranberry, coffee machine was working but my hubby said it wasn’t very good, frosted flakes & raisin bran, microwaveable cheese omelette, white & wheat bread for toasting, Quaker instant grits packages and there was a pancake machine but I didn’t see anyone use it, nor did I see any syrup, so I’m not sure if it worksTo sum it up, there is no pool and hasn’t been for 3 years Our room (134) was clean and did not smell musty, no bugs (bed or otherwise) and I checked thoroughly, bathroom is not bad (read hair build up in the drainwhich I only know because the drain was out and I could see), no mold, fridge is clean and does not smellFor a stop over, it’s not bad

DogLife

Best staff ever! They made me feel welcomed & appreciated The property is clean & well maintained both inside & out Lots of convenient parking, huge area to walk your dog, close to lots of restaurants & shopping- some within walking distance

The room was comfortable with a great view and lots of space in the king suite Good variety of breakfast options including a pancake machine! This is just a great place to stay overall but the employees are what really sets this hotel apart from so many others I’ve frequented in the area for business trips

Donald Smith

This is a nice reasonably priced motel close to I-95 yet not so close to be noisy There are ample places to eat nearby and is right by an outlet mall The town of Smithfield is very close as well with many more places to eat and things to do

The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable The staff was very friendly and helpful

Fantastic hotel, I am impressed-Excellent gym with brand new, fully functional True brand equipment-Great service at the front desk (Jordan was working when I checked in)

-Free-flowing coffee and comp breakfast in the lobby, and oh yes, they have those little hazelnut and vanilla coffee-mate creamer tubs so that you can make your coffee taste like candy (the way I like mine)-Spacious, nicely appointed room-Excellent shower, shower head, and water pressure-Nicer than usual fridge/freezer, and microwave-What else do you want to know? This property provides all the things I care about in a hotel, at a very reasonable price In other words, VALUE

Valerie Anderson

We stayed for 3 nights and while the stay wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t the typical quality I expect of a Wyndham hotelPros:- Rooms were enormous and had plenty of space for us to spread out We had a party of 6 with two rooms and could easily fit our whole party into one room for gathering

– The staff was very nice Miss Caroline who tended the complimentary breakfast was amazing! She was so friendly and warm toward our family- Location was great for us as well as access to several stores and restaurants- The gym was state of the art!Cons:- The decor in the room is very dated The carpet was filthy in our room, the mattresses were old and uncomfortable We had a broken lamp shade along with dirty walls- The complimentary breakfast lacked variety and options- The fridge in one of our rooms didn’t work The remote to the tv didn’t workOverall, I’m not sure we’d stay here again without some updating of the rooms

Our son’s baseball team spent five nights here recently It’s a conveniently located hotel right off the interstate and next door to Outback Steakhouse Clean rooms with all the amenities, including a fridge, sink, and microwave

Spacious counter space with a workstation and a sofa with a pullout bed The beds were comfy too The amenities were good, but not 5-star worthy The fitness center was well equipped with free weights and machines, and a yoga mat Unfortunately the TV in there wasn’t working, but the water cooler was always full The laundry room was inside the space too, with a couple washers and dryers available for rent The indoor pool was okaythe water wasn’t heated but the room itself was very hot, and an echo chamber An outdoor pool seems to be better suited here The lobby was very nice and the dining room was also spacious and inviting, with a TV and computers for use by guests The breakfast spread was pretty good, and included with the stay The staff was mostly welcoming to our team, although a couple folks were not very supportive and warned us about being too noisy as early as 5pm and again at 8pm Overall, a solid hotel with plenty of positives

Dub Karriker

I generally like this hotel chain The layout and function are well planned Our room was clean and comfortable

However, the common areas were dirty, particularly the carpets They are filthy It’s a fairly new hotel so this is unacceptable We almost left before we got to the room but the clean room kept us there Please train someone to clean carpet in the elevator and hallways!

Danney Rampersaud

Place needs a overhaul, I know due to covud it’s hard to find good housekeepers but wow This place was not what I expected from a Hilton Trash from the previous guest in my room were still there when I check In not to mention the many pieces of hair on the bed sheet

That tells me they are cutting corners My last day staying here couldn’t have come any faster I was welcome in the morning with a Roach crawling on the wall near my bed which I took a picture of and also later that evening when I return from my business meeting I was welcome with a clogged toilet where the housekeeper flush a wad load of tissue down the toilet I called front desk and she came up with a plunger and said either I can clean it or she would Of course I told her she can clean it I also provided pictures of that Some improvements here and there and maybe it would be worth staying here and charging guest what you charge

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been to For starters my room was not even ready when I arrived I have four small children that don’t live with me and the only time we get to spend together is when I get these hotel rooms

Coming up with the money for this endeavor is always a task But I make sure to have the deposit and everything I need so that we can spend time we do this every 2 weeks religiously and have never had an issue with any deposit anywhere We always clean and tidy our room before we exit I read in another Google review where another patron experience the same thing This place is a scam if you stay here you will have your deposit taken for an obscene they literally took my deposit and I called the police and the hotel trespassed me and the police were threatening to take me to jail even though I’m the one who called them This place is not friendly to brown people apparently sing as the man in front of me paid a employee of the business some money for his room and they somehow didn’t receive it If you value your time your resources in these trying times do not stay at this hotel it’s run by people who take advantage of other people

DIRTY and UNACCEPTABLE When arriving to our room 314, the door was sticky with stuff running down it The hallways smelled highly of pot, and we walked into our room to find the Beds were not made!! I was horrified, they booked us a dirty room!? I went back to the front desk and the attendant was the only pleasant thing about this place, she was apologetic and accommodating

There were multiple complaints before me while i was waiting, she was extremely kind and has great customer service skills! She changed our room to the last available room 114 and let me go see it first I truly hope she is Recognized The Beds were made but the room smelled like a bottle of men’s cologne It was soo strong and uninviting, but my kids needed to sleep, so I touhed it out and with the added the sinus headache! This room was also dirty, the mirrors were gross The air conditioner also did not work well, it was not blowing cool air! MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO TRAIN HOUSEKEEPING HOW TO CLEAN & MAKE A BED, OR DON’T BOOK THE ROOM!

Ricardo Shaffer

Disgusting Everything was covered in bodily fluids, weird splashes of fluid, & grimeBreakfast? “The person scheduled didn’t show up… so it’s gonna take me a bit” so, no breakfast

Someone replaced the bulbs with creepy ultra-bright non-warm lights, as if it was a rent-by-the-hour motelThe faucet still had layers of toothpaste spit on it, weird splashes on the mirrors, & moldy showerThe coffee maker and blow dryer looked like they haven’t been used in months

Cara Erwine

Horrible customer service My husband was charged twice for the room and the lady he spoke to told him he wasn’t and when he told her it’s showing he was she said she knows what she’s talking about and hung up on him We have never been to a hotel and been charged for two days as a hold

The most we have ever had held on our cards was $50 Checked in at 5:00 am and checked out around 9:30 the same day ( stayed a little over 4 hours total) and got charged two separate payments of 140 something in our account They tried saying it was a hold that we would get back in 72 hours 72 hours later it’s still showing two charges in my account

Its in a convenient location from I-95, gas stations, Starbucks, the outlets, and restaurants Golden Corral is within walking distance to the hotel and was actually pretty good when it came to quality of food and cleanliness as far as buffets go If I have any additional planned trips I will definitely stop here again no questions asked

Room was extremely clean Elevators ran fast didn’t have to wait forever for a ride The indoor pool room was kept warm which made it more enjoyable for the kids

Small availability of pool towels There was a a gym and the lobby was large and big enough for everyone to have a seat at breakfast I would recommend anyone to stay here over any other hotel in the Smithfield shopping area We will stay here again the next time we need to come to Selma

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly We wanted to believe the high ratings but that was not our experience The walls are so thin and our neighbor had their tv so high it reverberated in our room, even over a white noise machine turned higher than we use it at home

We called once and the front desk said they’d do something but it wasn’t until 1:30 am when they cut the circuit breaker to get it turned off Why wasn’t that done earlier? It was promptly back on by 8 am, so we got little sleep We were on the third floor and you can also hear interstate traffic whizzing by Not sure if that’s the case on lower levels We will not stay here again If you are a sensitive sleeper, which we must be, probably best to go elsewhere

Kimberly N

Our first time staying at a Sleep Inn, and pleasantly surprised: spacious, clean rooms with very comfortable beds Tastefully decorated, too The free breakfast includes waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, toast, bagles, fruit, yogurts and a variety of juices

Very friendly and professional staff The Mexican restaurant next door gives 10% off for hotel guests and it was excellent A plus for us was windows that opened

Winston Hendricks

I don’t play the race card but I can say it was a nice young African American women who worked here that have the best service I see that she don’t work here any more the rooms smelt like feet and the floor was horrible Bathroom had hair in the tub and in the sink the house keeping here is terrible and they do not consider anyone but the people who are white I said what I said and this hotel don’t never gotta worry about me again thanks

We stayed one day and one of the room was infested with ants We only came to know following day after my family were bitten by ants and it was not acceptable When we checked out we informed our concern to the front desk and she told me she needs to talk to the general manager

They talked behind the counter and she came back and told me they can offer to give $20 dollars We were very frustrated and complaint if anyone can take the room when ants are everywhere However she told me that’s what they can offer! Manager didn’t show up to us and apologized but left the scene well before we have been in IHG hotels numerous times but this never has been a concern until now We asked this is going to be a reputable damage to IHG if this is how they treat customers She was indifferent to the situation We did not accept their offer and contacted IHG They told me that this can be an insurance claim and this is not acceptable and escalated the claim to the top management After we left, hotel’s general manager finally called us and apologized and told me that he can refund one of the two rooms to settle the case We told them that this is very disappointing We are not asking for any refund or any monetary compensation but sought for an apology at the time we raised the concern Hotel has sanitary rating A everywhere on their walls but ants were also everywhere The manager only contacted us to apologize only after IHG reached out and told them the possible contract revoke in the future! IHG needs to better manage their hotels! We have stayed in many different locations in the past but this truly disappoints us If they want to keep the business in a right way, they do need to manage their customers damn seriously!

Mary Holmes-Burgess

Rooms were quiet and clean We just needed a place eto lay our heads for the night as we were just traveling through The beds were a little hard but pillows were comfortable

Room was perfect for the two of us and there are plenty of places to choose from for eating We needed to get up and going early and they gave us a wake up call Would stay here again if we were in the area

Rob C

The room above ours sounded like there was a soccer match going on until late in the night Front desk absolutely refused to address the problem after hours of asking We stayed two nights and will never stay at this Holiday Inn location again

Typically Holiday Inn has great rooms with staff that care… not this one! Don’t waste your money here, go check in at any of the other hotels within a 1/4 mile of this place Room was semi clean and breakfast was as advertised

There was only one coffee packet for the room even though it was a double occupancy But the biggest disappointment was that I booked the room because they advertised a free a breakfast The lobby is closed for covid so they had a table with some packaged cheap snacks and coffee Not a hot breakfast as advertised Had I known this I would not have booked a room there

We stayed there on 10/9/21 the front desk staff when we checked in and checked out were extremely friendly and helpful The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable To be honest for the price which was very reasonable I was not sure what to expect

But was very pleasantly surprised Will definitely want to stay there on our return trip of we can Highly recommend it, especially for people on a limited budget

The hotel felt like a safe place to spend the night Not a lot of traffic of people, it seemed clean, bedrooms, bathrooms and the cafeteria The beds are too soft for my test but that’s very personal

Breakfast was typical, good to begin the day on the road More fruit and of better quality would have been betterThe room was quiet, we slept good

I really enjoyed my stay The staff was kind (Chris was particularly awesome) and the cleaning staff were also very kind I was having issues with my card at some point and a person cleaning the rooms helped me while I got my card key covered

I tried to give her a tip for her service but she wouldn’t take it It is about 30 to 40 minutes away from Raleigh, BUT there are still plenty of eateries and cinema nearby I also enjoyed the hot breakfast AND whatever little towel creature this is! (Yoda perhaps?) So cute! Overall, I would come back here

We stopped here for the night in our way to Florida and then again going back home It was a good experience because the hotel is new, in a new area, the room was big with two beds and so much room around, same for the bathroom I need to say the place is really in good conditions

This was the first time for us in a Beat Western Prices are on average, we paid less the first night, something around 40$ cheaper than the second night 19 days later Staff is friendly Lots of restaurants in the area and the Carolina premium outlet is less than 5 minutes far by car

We had been driving all through the night and stopped early morning The staff were so kind to let us check in early The halls had a pleasant very clean smell unlike many other hotels we’ve stayed at

Our room was was large, modern, clean smell and welcoming The ONLY thing that wasn’t clean was the bathroom mirror but that’s not a big deal Fantastic location Starbucks, Panera bread, cold stone, a movie theater going in and many other stores all in walking distance By far the best comfort Inn we have stayed at Thank you for the last minute accommodations for our family to get some much needed sleep

Disappointed because pool temp closed Main reason for choosing hotel Also, no bathtub- prob why no pics of full bathroom where I booked

No ice bag either Overall tho, nice hotel & good location I probably would have got a better room if I didn’t go through a third party I suggest calling I had to make sure of availability of their amenities before booking so you can make the most informed decision

The staff was welcoming and kind, but that’s really the only positive I have The elevators were covered in stains and smelled like pee

The hallway carpeting wasn’t much better and also carried an odorThe rooms themselves were fine besides the dinged up walls and the noisy AC unitBreakfast was very “eh” The waffle machine didn’t work, the fruit was bad and so was the ketchupNot impressed for the price

I was extremely thrown off by how horrible this place was I was placed in a room all the way in the back of the hotel, around back The hotel did not seem sold out or fully booked yet, I was placed all the way in the back, it was kinda scary

There was stacked furniture outside my room The room stunk like cigarettes and I booked a smoke free room I called immediately to ask if this was a smoke free room and the girl at the front said yes I felt extremely uneasy about the room, I looked around more, there was urine on the toilet seat, a cover for a shaving razor on the sink and 2 cigarette burn holes in the linen of both beds, There was dust and dirt all over the floors At that pointy of all that I found, I was willing to lose my money and leave anyway, the only reason I gave a 1 star was because when I called to say I was checking out and letting the girl know of my findings, she then offered to change my room but at that point I was mentally checked out fo the room/hotel as well She was kind and nice to refund me my money for the 2 nights I booked I think she knew it was gross and I should never have Ben put in that room all the way in the back like that Place needs updating and major cleaning, renovations… I would rather have slept in my car

First, I was notified of a recent Bear siting on the property Second, my room was open and not finished, and was given another room that was still unfinished Breakfast is just a grab and go sandwich that you take back or I guess you can, microwave yourself

The front desk clerk left a lot to be desired, since she was on a Bluetooth conversation the entire time I did sleep with the TV on at a lower volume so that I wasn’t “disturbed” by late night guests Not that great but half decent BBQ across the street and a food lion and I think a nearby liquor store too
