Clearly have a back up plan before staying here I booked a suite because we have two set of twins to only find out that they completely changed my reservation with no explanation phone call or anything Manger didn’t seem to care much and no one tried to fix the situation

I book my reservation well in advance It was booked September 2021 I hope I never have to book here again I didn’t even want to give it a star Please have a back up plan!

Audrey Geissinger

I think if no one has ever stayed here when it was the Sheraton then one would think this was a nice hotel Ever since it switched to Marriott this place has disappointed This time no cold water for a shower, no room service even though they advertise as such, room wasn’t ready at 3pm and my door was damaged and had to be repaired as it wouldn’t shut

The staff really tried and were pleasant The only reason I stayed here again was because of business I had in town I will absolutely not stay here again

Stayed at this hotel with my entire extended family for a funeral Staff was extremely friendly and courteous and the General Manager Lynne was a great help in helping make arrangements for dinner at the adjoining Machine Shed (which was delicious)The hotel is very clean, and the lobby is beautiful

Very comfortable beds and large bathrooms is a plus The pool area is incredibly spacious and the kids loved itWill definitely be staying here again

Lydia Keskitalo

Clean rooms and great staff, but the floor plan is very odd Many of the rooms look into the pool which itself isn’t bad, but the windows are very thin and the pool doesn’t close until 11:00pm This can be a problem if you are here for business or if you like to get to bed early

However, good prices, clean rooms, and helpful staff makes this hotel a good place to stay in St Paul

Lisa M

Black hole of a room Overall, the hotel was fairly nice, typical Holiday Inn…HOWEVER, our room had absolutely no natural light coming in

We had a window, but it faced a wall Pitch black at all hours Hard to relax, when you have no idea what it’s like outside, or cues that it’s getting late, etc We (spouse and kids) slept terribly as we all kept waking up at various times afraid we’d oversleep (yes, we used an alarm clock), since we had no other cues it was morning Pic was taken before checkout at 9:30 am, just to show how ridiculous it wasWas never informed our room was like that when making booking, or calling in to confirm that day Unable to get new room as hotel was booked No refund as prepaid for best price We’re done with the IHG brand after this

I stayed here about a month ago in March 2022 when Elton John was playing at the Xcel Energy Center across the street The location of the hotel for that was absolutely perfect It was a bit pricey but absolutely worth it for the convenience

The room was clean and well-maintained The staff were all really helpful and polite as well I actually had to call them after I got home (out of state), because I had forgotten my good pair of headphones in my room I was sure I’d never see them again, that they’d be gone forever However, the staff were able to find them and mail them back to meI would 100% stay here again if I was going to attend an event there across the street

Key card wouldn’t work to let us into the building Someone else had to let us in Loud people yelling and running up and down the hallway late into the night

Food was left in the fridge from whoever stayed here before us For the price not worth it But for the convenience of being across from the concert Okay Customer service was awesome when checking in

Mark Stang

This is a food review of their first floor bar/sports pub We attended the first 2022 Wild home playoff game and had plenty of time for a pre-game meal My wife and I ordered: a bacon cheeseburger, order of traditional bone-in chicken wings and a side order of beer-battered onion rings

All 3 were excellant The onion rings were about the best I’ve had in a long time Despite the place being jammed just 90 minutes before game time, the wait staff was very attentive Well done

Stayed at hotel for honeymoon and it was perfect Amazing food delivered to the room from the restaurant, all staff were friendly and accommodating Everything was clean and loved the suite, the tub is large enough even my 6’5” hubby was able to comfortably relax and bathe

The common area was luxurious so it was nice to have a quiet meal in the room one night and play cards with a local friend Definitely want to go back! The rooftop bar was amazing as well!!

Emilie Christensen

I have stayed at Omni Viking Lakes a few times, and there are a some things that keep me coming back The hotel is beautiful! The Nordic Viking theme is just perfect, with subtle and tasteful nods to the Purple&Gold Vikings who’s training facility is just next door This hotel is high end while still being inviting and comfortable

Side note: If you are a MN Vikings fan, you just might end up having a drink and some great conversation with a player or coach ;)The rooms and spaces are exceptionally clean and well appointed The staff- from the front desk to the restaurant, and bar staff- have all been so kind, professional, and welcomingTheir loyalty program is so thoughtful! Sometimes a glass of champagne at check in, complimentary wine/beer at the lounges or restaurants, or complimentary coffee from the in-house Caribou Coffee branded shop are always so appreciated I recently also booked services at the spa and it was truly a luxury experienceSo, with all of the hotels to choose from in the area, I’ll continue to come to Omni

Cassandra Krzebietke

This place is excellent My fiancé and I booked a regular room and were able to upgrade to a suite for half the price We had a huge bathtub and shower room

Very clean room, comfy bedThe food down at the restaurant is good too Only complaint I have is the fries were not all that great But my Korean Fried Chicken sandwich and his steak was so yummy! We had breakfast down at the little coffee shop (wasn’t great for the price…)We also got couples massages at the spa and were treated like royalty when we went in there You can use the spa all day if you book a serviceOverall, it was a nice and enjoyable experience We were sad to leave!

This has been one of our favorite places to stay while traveling! All the employees were friendly and greeted us every day A lot of options for breakfast No microwaves in the rooms but had two that guests could use in the breakfast area

They had bags of chips, pop, candy and different freezer meal options available for purchase by the front desk also The pool was an alright size, it went to 45ft that my son likes but my daughter likes when it gets a little deeper They had multiple tables and chairs which I like and big patio couch for bigger families Our room was nice size and perfect for myself and two younger aged kids If we come back up to the area again for an event my kids have already said they want to go to this one again even if it’s not the same hotel as others in our group

Sarah Pinion

This hotel was a great location It was within walking distance of great places to eat and drink The staff was amazing

We had adjoining rooms Upon arrival we found that one of the rooms had not been cleaned The hotel was totally booked but the manager got it cleaned while we went to dinner He then voluntarily comped the room without my asking Based on the way we were treated by everyone at this hotel, we’ll stay here anytime we are in this area visiting family in the future!

Andrea Linton

This is a great hotel to take the family The room was very clean and so were the sheets The pool was nice sized but water was cold

Not a big a deal breakfast had a lot of options, also good for the kids and plus there was a snack section you could purchase The only thing was there wasn’t shampoo and normally I don’t care because I bring my own but this time I didn’t The manager was apologetic and I don’t blame him that there wasn’t any the night of our stay Restaurant across the street and ordering pickup was faster and had a large kids meal Very tasty

Awesome hotel! They have great security You cannot access the use of the elevator or secure parking garage without a key, nor the building itself They do charge you under $20 for parking but it’s worth it

They have breakfast and a decent selection of items The hotel is well kept and the rooms were very clean and nice Was disappointed in the size of the pool They do have a little kids area w/ pool that’s not at all deep with a slide and water spout type contraption The staff were all friendly and helpful Location was okay but I never had a reason to go out and about in the city We were in town visiting family Double check your charges after you check out It might have been a fluke but I had mysterious charge that they did end up refunding me for Jim is one of the managers at this hotel and he was very professional, patient and helpful when resolving this issue I definitely would stay again

Almont Sadie

After having a horrible experience at Best Western Como park, we cancelled our reservations and went here Feeling so let down by our first encounter with such unprofessional staff, this place was a breath of fresh air!! The check in process was perfect The receptionist, Jacky, was so friendly and helpful!! It was beautiful, bright and clean! Location was perfect! They even have a beautiful, little attached patio to enjoy outside

I highly recommend this hotel and our family looks forward to visiting again as this is where we will always stay in the future:)

Ashley Munk

Breakfast was good Fresh and many options Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable

A little disappointed with the pool and jacuzzi listing as the jacuzzi was the entirety of the whole pool We were expecting more of a hot tub or separate area for jacuzzi Otherwise, it was fine Staff were very friendly and the building was very secure

Very impressed with the quality of the rooms and polite staff Loads of amenities From the coffee maker, to the fancy shampoo, the room is built to impress

We were staying for just one night but it was so great that I will definitely be booking here if I ever returnThe rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tons of storage options We’ll lit and good temperature controlsThe bed was very comfortable and the room was so clean It was such a wonderful change of pace compared to the hotels I have stayed in recently My only complaint would be the pillows were too soft All the stuffing moved to the other side of the pillow and I woke up with a sore neck – not the end of the worldMost impressive was the breakfast With the generous hours running from 5am to 9am, and equally as generous options, you will not be disappointedThis is definitely not your typical covid time breakfast Waffles, coffee, juice, Greek yogurt, fluffy scrambled eggs, sausages and sausage gravy, biscuits, cereal and fruit, danishes, toast, bagels The staff were bringing out food even at 8:30Check in and check out were a breeze and the staff were friendly and helpfulIf you’re in the area, check out this gem

Mike A

Great place to stay at a reasonable price Helpful, smiling and just the right amount of friendly, staff The suite was large with two features I have never seen before in a hotel room

A window bench which my wife just loved and a center island with a sink Very handy! Breakfast was pretty typical for this type of hotel The only drawback was the walls are fairly thin It was not a problem as everyone quieted down at night

John Schafer

Spent a night here, and it was a clean, comfortable room Room size is small, but since we were just using it for a single night, that was not a concern for us They had a basic breakfast buffet in the morning (cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, toast, etc

), and they had access to a computer/printer to be able to print out boarding passes for our flight in the morning Very helpful young man at the front desk when we checked in, as well as when we checked out in the morning Will definitely return

I was extremely impressed and enjoyed this location They keep this property very clean They have a gym with enough equipment to get a good workout in while traveling

There’s an indoor pool and hot tub too I want to highlight that Michael’s professionalism and service make you feel like you are staying at a 5 star resort Great experience Highly recommend this location Also very close to the airport

**Updated my star rating due to the fact that I received a response about the maintenance of the pool That was my mistake for assuming the weren’t checking Like I said, the staff was nothing short of amazing

I may give them another try if we’re in the area**The staff was amazing and kind!! The room itself was ok Cracks along AC/heat unit, missing electricity plate, shower tub was grimey, shower head was leaking and sprayed water out of the shower unless you turned the shower head a certain way, and found a baby spider crawling on the bed Thin walls/door, you can pretty much hear everything I felt like the swimming pool hasn’t been treated and with an all girls softball team there all weekend and them using the pool often, I would think they would check One small elevator for the entire hotel, which took forever Breakfast was decent, but can’t really complain since it’s free Parking wasn’t too bad Location was ideal but I would definitely check out other hotels in the area after this stay

Wendy Leigh

What a wonderful stay at this hotel!!! The staff is amazing! Moona (and I think her name was Ellie) at the front desk went out of their way to make our daughter’s birthday an extra special experience Our stay was also incredible and we all slept so, so well! Here are my pros and cons for this hotelPros:- The staff 100%- beds are super comfy! They are a medium firm

We all slept so, so well!- We had a queen suite and it was very spacious with lots of room for our family of 5 to spread out/get ready in the morning- The breakfast is yummy!! We love how Springhill has the sugared waffles They are our favorite!! They also have hot protein items like sausage, eggs and bacon and they keep them well stocked-It was super duper quiet even though it appears the hotel was pretty full/busyat least from the parking lot and the main lobby area-Parking is easy- The shower is awesome! Lots of water pressure and the massage feature is wonderfulCons:- the building is older (if you consider that a con) There are stains on the carpets in the hallways Our room appears to be updated however- Our room had a bit of a perfumy smell when we first came in I was worried it would cause my asthma to flair, but I didn’t have any problems thankfullyWe would 100% stay here again if we return to the area in the future!

My family and I stopped here on our way through headed home from a week in the boundary waters Everyone was very friendly We booked late at night and showed up even later but the staff was very ready to help

Unfortunately we did not get the two double bed rooms we requested so that everyone could get their own bed but they did say they were full with a wedding and wrestling That being said It would have been really nice to know that it would not be what we requested before we got up to our roomsThat being said the 5 stars reflect the rest of our stay! My room was immaculate, the cookies were warm, the shower was so clean and refreshing, and the bed was incredibly comfortable The next morning we enjoyed a very hot and fresh breakfast on the second floor where Moe was very attentive to our coffee and needs! The coffee was fresh and hot and the bacon perfectly cooked! You could tell the staff are all hard workers!I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would like to personally thank each of the staff members we had the chance to interact with!

Matt Bozovsky

Friendly staff and great breakfast! I stayed for 2 nights in a king room The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable As mentioned in other reviews, the room was a little dated; however, nothing terrible

Parking was nice in the ramp, and the elevator opened right to the hotel lobby You do have to pay for breakfast, but there were a lot of options, and in my opinion, it was worth it I would recommend the hotel! There wasn’t a lot of traffic downtown on the weekend so that was nice as well

Rebecca Bang

First thing, great staff Every staff member we crossed paths with was pleasant and helpful Biggest kudos to Anita that checked us in

Gave info on best places to eat and gave hints on best way to navigate and get around downtown! The hotel is older as others have said and not a ton open as we thought would be Alliance Bank Center hard to get through and not a lot of restaurants open there like we thought, but still walking distance to Xcel Arena and other food options Overall room was clean, good price, restaurant in lobby was open, so overall, 5 stars because to me customer service makes or breaks it and their customer service is top notch

The lobby is nice Valet parking was convenient The morning we left, there were dozens of other people leaving too and waiting for valet

The desk staff and valet people were really hustling and did a good job getting lots of cars quicklyThe room was not great There was no mattress pad on the bedjust a fitted sheet directly on the mattress The room was not cleaned well There was dried mascara on the sink leftover from a previous guest The door handles and high touch surfaces had residue and marks showing that they clearly take no time to wipe down or properly clean such areas The shower was not cleanTheir saving grace is that they are right across the street from the excel center, which is convenient for attending events However, it may be worth it to stay elsewhere in a cleaner room and take an Uber or pay for event parking instead!

Bethany Rose Larson

We were in town for a difficult family trip (saying goodbye to a loved one), so for us, this place was a haven of much-needed rest It’s been recently remodeled and has a new feel, even though you can tell by the ceilings that the building has old bones The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast room packed but kept up with, and most memorable were the staff, who were kind and helpful

The only thing I wish I would have known about beforehand was that there was a parking lot *right* behind the hotel, which could have saved us the $35 valet fee (though the valet guys were great) We literally walked into our room, opened the windows, and looked down onto the park-and-pay parking lot It would have been a short walk up a hill and around a corner with our suitcases, definitely worth the $35 plus tips! Oh well! If we’d been having a sight-seeing trip, it would have been a perfect location for downtown events and the riverwalk Another time, perhaps!

Tara Miller

We went to a Minnesota Wild game, and love the convenience and location of the hotel to the Xcel Energy You are given valet parking, so you don’t have to find a spot to park and pricing is reasonable They have breakfast in the morning from 6 to 10 am

we have stayed there a few times for games and all the experiences have been good Would reccommend

This is such a beautiful place! We stayed here for my husband’s birthday Loved the fact that it isn’t the average hotel The rooms are very charming and the antique furniture and art was all lovely

Really easy to take a walk along Summit and get to nearby restaurants! I wish we had stayed longer We were up on the third floor–based on the photos we thought the room would be a bit smaller/cozier but it ended up being very spacious!

Mary Jo Bartels

Such a delight! Did not want to leave this beautiful place! We booked the master suite and just Wow! So many amazing spaces to enjoy The quality of the home, the wood, the windows and light, the furnishings, fireplaces, library, parlor Such a grand place to savor sweet musings of lives and years gone by

Will definitely come back but for a longer stay! And I plan up research the story of the family who first lived here and the evolution since those early daysThank you for making this indulgence available for us to enjoy!!

Paul We traveled all the way from Minneapolis just to enjoy the space If you like, everything you could ever want (grocery stores, restaurants, downtown, etc) is accessible by foot If you want to drive, the Twin Cities is your oyster, with a lovely home base to return toThe space itself is absolutely wonderful, the highlights being the bathtub with water jets, the views of the river valley, and just the ambiance of being in a 100 year old mansion I’d recommend sitting out on some Adirondack chairs to catch the sunset or sunrise Summit Ave is obviously beautiful and the Davidson is on a stretch of Summit with low traffic and ample parkingEvery aspect of the building is lovely and feels like such a refreshing break from the bog standard hotel experience There is no front desk so it feels like it is entirely your space but the management is incredibly responsive via phone or email and you can refill simple things like Keurig cups and toilet paper yourself just walking down the hall (They also have staff to clean and replenish things on a daily basis if you request it, we just preferred to be on our own) It felt like we were in our own apartment rather than a hotel The perfect place to get away but still be close to anything we wantedIf you are looking for a place to spend any special occasion, I would recommend booking the Davidson We stayed for a short stay-cation before moving away from the Twin Cities and it was some of the best 3 days we’ve spent in the Cities in 10 yearsThe room was spacious and had everything we could need We didn’t utilize the kitchen at all because so many great food options were so close We hope to stay again as soon as we’re in the area We loved the setting, the space, and the whole experience It was beyond wonderful

Decent hotel and the price wasn’t bad for the location Huge shoutout to Vivian in the breakfast lounge She is amazing and quite an asset to the hotel

Great hospitality!!! Unfortunately, I do have a couple of complaints: 1 We had no idea there was a free breakfast for guests until I was walking in the hotel the first morning after picking up McDonalds already There was nothing on my reservation confirmation and we weren’t told about it when we checked in That would’ve been nice to know before I spent money elsewhere on food 2 The south facing rooms definitely hear the interstate traffic outside We could hear it well in the morning when we were trying to sleep in 3 The blackout curtains in our room weren’t perfect at keeping the light outOther than these issues, our stay was acceptable and we were overall pleased with our stay The staff was very friendly Just wish they would’ve told us about the free buffet when we checked in

Friendly, helpful staff (thank you Shay for the great service and caring smile) Valet and shuttle driver were extra perks! Hot breakfast provided a variety of options (son is gluten free) but odd no brown sugar for the oatmeal Classy yet cozy room with well supplied kitchen

Best of all, first time we’ve stayed in the Twin Cities without waking to sirens or traffic noise (Several were deployed, too)

Stayed here 4 nights with my wife and kids Started with the air conditioner not working in the room We notified them multiple times they gave us a fan

Average room temp was 75-80 degrees Didn’t want to make a big deal because the said the we fixing it By yesterday we’re like pack all our kids up and goto another hotel? We just toughed it out The only good thing about this place is the pool Breakfast was sub par Good thing hopes is next door I mentioned again about the room air and their reply “Said did we tell them” Unreal! You gave me the fan So she comped us the valet parking We didn’t even use valet parking but one night because when we got back the place was surrounded by police cars Been here before a year ago and it is definitely not the same Hit or miss here

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 months while we worked in St Paul The staff here are amazing

The hotel was well kept and well run Extra mention for Shay who made sure we had a room that was in a good location for working night shift and Luke who brush our car off when we didn’t have a snow brush and had a flight to catch the next day I cannot say enough about all of the wonderful people who made our stay amazing I wish I could give this a rating higher than 5 stars Thank you to everyone for going above and beyond – kitchen staff, housekeeping and maintenance, we are so grateful!

Love the size and layout of the room So many lights and outlets for devices First time I’ve been in a hotel with a dishwasher, and dishes!Full fridge, microwave and lots of open spaces! Really appreciate the curtain that can be pulled to separate the “living room” and the beds! Love, love, love the desk with a roll out dining table, great use of space and function! I’m going to have to find more locations of this hotel for future stays, really like it a lot!

Do not stay at this hotel! Disappointing overnight stay two weeks ago Stayed at this hotel one time in 2021 and loved it, but things have changed and we do not plan to returnOur room was disappointing

It was very apparent that surfaces of doors and some walls had not been wiped down in a long time The pocket doors for the bathroom were very heavy and difficult to slide and close completelyOur biggest issue was the noise level on our floor Several rooms were occupied with large families with multiple young children Even though the rooms were a distance away from us, we could hear kids screaming and talking very loudly despite their room door and our room door being shut And these children were repeatedly allowed to slam room doors and run screaming up and down the long hallway This running went on for 10-15 minutes periodically We called the front desk to complain multiple times but the disruption continued When we left our room for dinner we noted a long line of stepped-on Cheetos all down the hallway When we returned to our room much later that night, the mess was still there Apparently no staff were walking the floors and tidying up as needed It gave the hotel a “trashy” feelOur second issue was the fact staff allowed guests to walk around the lobby area barefoot or in stocking feet We noticed this during the breakfast buffet And some of the attire of both adults and children was questionableWe did not feel satisfied at all with our stay We have stayed in multiple Home2Suites as we travel cross-country and have never had such a disappointing stay We will continue to book rooms with this hotel brand but will never return to this one!

Pros:1 Nice sized rooms2 Good blackout curtains3

Pretty good continental breakfastCons1 Room wasn’t clean (hair in the shower, something splattered all over the curtains, air vents blowing out dust)2 Lots of dogs staying there It is a pet friendly hotel, but every time we left our room we encountered 2+ dogs with varying level of behavior, some that were obviously not very well leash trained3 You park in the Cedar Grove ramp, and there’s only one entrance to the that is anywhere close to the parkingFor the price probably won’t stay here again
