For the money, I don’t believe you’ll find a better place to stay The rooms have everything you need They are super clean, smell nice, well kept and attractive

Everything works The fridge is large Water pressure is stunning good! The bed is huge and comfortable as well For the small size rooms, they are nonetheless packed with all the basics without feeling cramped The woman who checked me is was very nice too! All around very very good service I recommend this place to stay Most times at this price I don’t But this Motel is a real exception If you need an affordable place to stay mostly just to sleep then be on your way, then book You’ll be happy 😊

This was a gem! My son and I were in San Diego for soccer Most of the team stayed at a brand name hotel for three times the price I booked this one based on reviews and being 7 miles from the team hotel

It did not disappoint The room was clean and updated We had a small table, desk, fridge and microwave King bed was comfortable The pool was available (unlike the expensive team hotel) The day and evening staff were friendly as well There is no breakfast (COVID) so that is where the fridge and microwave came in handy Thank you for providing a great place at a very reasonable price Budget for the win!

Joanne Titanic

My single room was so tiny Everything was clean and neat but minimal Nice to have a microwave and mini-refrigerator

The bed appeared to be okay but I found it too high and uncomfortable Was up most of the night from all the sounds around the room The staff was extremely nice They were the best part of the stay The television was off to the side of the room so had to angle myself in bed to view it The bathroom was directly in front of the bed ( remember TINY ROOM) so they had no choice but to put the TV on the only wall If the room was a bit bigger I would definitely return Hopefully they have bigger rooms elsewhere in the place Oh yeah, bring your own cups Only 2 tiny plastic cups No cup in bathroom A really mixed review Sorry

I want to say a special thank you to Devon at the front desk My mom had a stroke and was hospitalized at nearby Palomar Medical Center When my fiance explained the situation to Devon, he was able to get us a room last minute and provided a very reasonable rate

We were able to get much needed rest after many hours at the hospital Devon even asked how my mom was when we checked out I really appreciated that and felt it was very thoughtful of him As far as the hotel itself, we didn’t expect such a clean, well-appointed, and spacious room There was office area which allowed me to get some work done while my fiance slept There was also a really good hot breakfast with strong coffee, eggs, sausages, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, baked goods (ie scones) that was included with the room price which was another surprise 24 hour fitness center as well as fire pits were also beautiful although we didn’t have a chance to use them Thank you Devon and wonderful team at Springhill Suites!

Tough travel day I tried to be patient…and I get COVID has created all kinds of labor and equipment shortages but to treat your key customers so poorly…I don’t get it! My flight American Airlines to San Diego through Dallas was eventually delayed so many times that I had no hope at any connection in Dallas…

Then to top it off Marriott central reservations tells me I can’t cancel and not get charged unless I speak to the Spring Hills Suites front desk…which the hotels automated system keeps sending me back to the centralized call center This was maddening So I go back and forth four separate times trying to reach the front desk I never actually get to the front desk but how does Spring Hills Suite San Diego Escondido eventually treat their Gold Elite who has been at the airport for four hours in a line who can’t get to them because his flight has been cancelled They charged me for the night Worried about lost revenue was the reason when that hotel only had three rooms left This travel and book at your own risk and if something happens outside of your control…you still have to pay?! I am done with you Marriott and I encourage others to book with hotels that have understanding policies The travel industry was hit hard from COVID and some travel companies just want to treat us as a mass commodity and not customers

I would def stay here again and would also book with this brand again

Spent 6 nights at this golf resort It is a great place for a quiet retreat even for non golfers There were a couple of days during our stay when they hosted tournaments and it still remained fairly quiet

The room was very nice and had one of the biggest bathrooms in a hotel The room had a proper desk which helped on the couple of days when I did have to work There was a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave The fitness center was decent There were two pools outside One of them was rarely used There was an on site restaurant which we frequented for breakfast The resort is within a ten minute drive from the casino They offer a shuttle It is about ten minutes minimum to drive into town if you want to check out other places to eat Overall it was a great stay

Michelle Broyhill

Not only can you play golf at one of San Diego’s top rated golf courses you can stay in a fabulous room that has all the comforts of home and then in the evening for a spectacular night you can head over to the Sycuan casino and catch a concert or have an amazing dinner in one of the spectacular restaurants! Or dine in your room! I’m always impressed by the friendly staff and ever accommodating management If you are looking for something to please the whole family and your love of golf in San Diego this is where it’s at

Jennifer Nix

They left our trash in the room for three days Did not replenish cups When asked for room service they just left the towels inside the door

It’s $100 A day deposit, not your entire stay Very poor hospitality There is no parking for guests by the restaurant When we wanted lunch there was a tournament and the manager said go back to your room Take a golf cart We are fully dressed for a wedding rehearsal day Hot day I told him we were at the farthest end on the property The golf worker would have hit our car as we were slowly backing up They drive too fast Don’t want to risk a bad driver!! Very very poor maid service!!!! 2nd worst hotel experience in my life don’t stay there Our neighbors said they had to clean the filters in the room The day we insisted on cleaning our room after 3 days of trash the maid had the tv on and changed our air temp to 60 degrees Room was cold Terrible place It would be better to drive in from somewhere like the Jamul casino The food manager at the restaurant could have done better We had no lunch No food was deliveredBad place Also I think my glasses by the bed went missing I’m not 100 per cent sure but I will report if one of the maids took my prescription glasses for a child In fact I will do more than report that if I return home and they are not there Jennifer

Well I don’t know where to start Came in from out of town to just get awayWe called customer service to go to the Hilton on Mission Valley by the mall and as we drove to the location given it was mission valley stadium and did not match the pictures

As we checked in the front desk told us immediately if we switched hotels we still will be charged for three days because we needed to give 24 hours Mind you the reservation was made the same day Not understanding why a simple switch could not be made as we noticed a whole homeless camp in the back parking lot Called customer or corporate line to ask if we could switch and the customer service agent said why did we choose this hotel and not what we wanted as we explained to her we are from out of town and did not know we would of been deceived After telling us she needed to hear the tape to see if we made the mistake or the employee made the mistake Agent was rude and only listened to provide a response and not one of a customer service agent When asked if we could speak to her manager she replied she doesn’t have a manager as we called the top leave of service for Hilton and she was the boss My reply everyone answers to someone and she said she was the top and will send us an investigation As we were on the phone my husband noticed Hilton deducted 202200 from his credit card This was mentioned to top level phone agent and her reply was that wasn’t her concern as she is only focusing if we made the mistake of choosing the wrong hotel We immediately called front desk to make them aware and a male staff member hung up after being confronted about that amount and we called back and a female staff member acknowledged she was aware and they are working on it and it will be refunded in 24 hours 2 days later money was not returned and we were quoted 59400 There were no light bulbs in two of the lamps and a light bulb missing on one of mini reading lamps We don’t smoke and it reeked of stale cigarettes There was dried blood on the sheets Also we had to call the front desk to ask for new wash clothes and clean sheets as no one bothered to clean our room Tomorrow is our check out 4/21/2922 just in case there is a lie to justify the stealing of 2 grand Very disappointed in how this makes the Hilton name to become tarnished

I am giving 4 stars because the good outweighs the badNear many restaurants and stores The only disabled parking spot they have is large

Extremely helpful staff, especially midnight clerk and GM Good food at the restaurant Putting restaurant tab on hotel bill was extremely convenient Nice selection in the store Clean in the common areas and rooms Nice amenities in rooms and lobby The pool was beautiful and the workout room was excellent and very well equipped The guest safes were convenient and a lifesaverHuge homeless camp behind hotel, so tons of foot traffic through the driveway Delivery trucks block driveway throughout the day No coffee available after 10am No lunch at restaurantLots of small things broken in the rooms, but manager took the problems seriously and repairs were made promptly Minor issue with one of the elevators, and the ice machine on the 2nd floor is broken, loud and leakingWe would definitely stay again due to the staff’s commitment to our comfort, convenience, and security

San Xiong

This is the worst Hilton in San Diego, CA The way they took the angle of the hotel looks clean and big but once we arrived, the area is a dump, squash between Jack in the Box like this hotel was in the back alley

in which it is On the outside parking in the rear, you will see homeless encampment It is not safe and be aware that the camera inside the garage only have one view take and make sure you park once you enter the garageif you go further to where you are heading out, there is no camera in which that the camera angle only the entrance and not the other side The elevator and the hallway to any floors smell and has no air condition No complimentary breakfast in which they will charge you $2100 per person We told the front desk, we do not want serviceand they come anyway This place only looks good in the front main entrance to check in but the room are terriblepower outlet do not work, no fan vent in the restroom, and trust methey will try to charge you extra fees Parking is $1500 a night but you see other encampment RV park inside and they did not even care We only put friend family pet in the room for a min of 30 minutes and were charge $7500 for a service fee Stay away from this place and rent the one by the waterfront Other customer that slept during those days we stay said their bathroom was clogged and none of the maintenance did not care We have pay a premium during our stay in July of 2022and it was the worst stay At least have a security on duty patrolling the parking Have extra hotel luggage cart We have ask many time and they said they do not have it, in which we found out they only have 3 cart throughout the hotel in which we were lucking that one of the customer gave it to us down in the basement parking I would not come back to this placeI have seen many customer just walk across the alley to other restaurant to buy breakfast every morning It is a sad location and they need to disclose it online so everyone should be aware of booking it Be aware, check Google map 3d and you will thank me! Going back to lower end of other hotel that offer better service, complimentary, and care about customer spending these nights there

Summit Ridge is a clean and safe community, relatively well-managed, but perhaps overly-managed They have two nice swimming pools that were closed most of the summer of 2020 in some authoritarian exhibition to punish all for the misdeeds of a few The parking situation is atrocious

Even parking within your trailer space is regulated to only your car Guest spaces are limited and not for overnight Don’t expect to receive an assigned parking space near your residence Grandma won’t have anywhere to park when coming to visit It’s a long hike to park outside of Summit Ridge and the surrounding neighborhood is less safe than inside of the park

We booked a room on their website, and wrote on the comments section we were bringing a service dog to be polite While we were on our way to check in, the hotel called and let us know we were not welcome there, and that they would be canceling our room They do not allow service dogs, even though we offered proof that he is fully trained

The owner tried to explain thay they believe he is a true service dog, but that it doesnt matter, they do not allow them The owner apologized We were originally charged but they refunded it same day, before they called us

Wonderful small hotel in the historic 3rd Avenue district of Chula Vista Many great local restaurants, bakeries and other small businesses within a short walk It seemed like when we asked our navigation system how long it would take to drive to our destination every day, it told us “19 minutes

” So it’s very convenient to get to all the sights of San DiegoThe hotel was very quiet every night, with very little traffic noise so that we were able to get a good rest The beds have just the right firmnessThis hotel is family owned and Karen, one of the owners and the person who we saw the most, is a very gracious and accommodating hostWe will recommend this hotel to all our friends We’re so happy that we found it!

I stayed here for a work trip, just looking for somewhere peaceful to relax after hectic days The hacienda is really lovely and the team all very welcoming It definitely feels like you’re staying with friends (friends with a gorgeous home!)

I sat on the veranda at the pool to work in the afternoon (much better than the office!), and weekday rates even fit within my travel budget Keep in mind, this is a home It’s not a corporate hotel and has the little idiosyncrasies of such Yes, you can hear people in the hall, there’s not a restaurant so you’re on your own for food, the space is a bit dark if you show up at night- but everything comes together for a way more interesting experience than you’d get at a chain This is definitely my lodging of choice next time I’m in the area

First off customer service was terrible Called before arriving and the lady on the phone was very rude Wouldn’t answer any questions I had

Said she wasn’t working and couldn’t help me Then on arrival front desk lady brought us to the room and that was it Didn’t show us the keys Or say anything Besides that the outside grill in the pictures of this place was off limits for guest And we were expecting to the use that for our dinnerThe fan above our bed was hanging by the power wires Room was dirty Didn’t look like it’s been vacuumed Blood stain on the bed pillow and the side of the bed coverPool was dirty Lots of dead bugs and stuff floating around Hot tub was off and even more dirty Once we turned it on it started to smell of sulfurWouldn’t recommend this to anyone The fan alone wasn’t safe We had to just leave because it was unsafe to sleep here And weren’t offered a refund

Wow… SO GLAD to have found this lovely “Homtel” (yes, I am making up words) My fiancé and I stayed there 1 night in mid-March ‘21 and found everything about it to be wonderful We truly felt we were in a friend or family members’ home

It was so quiet and calm We felt like we had the pool, hot tub, and grounds all to ourselves and they were all beautiful (which makes sense with only 7 rooms) This time we enjoyed the Merlot room and loved it’s private balcony with a view of the pool and grounds We left feeling super relaxed as we had been made to feel so welcome by Joseph and his crew that we encountered Patty, Ann and Rhonda were all equally supportive, kind and attentive in a way that just makes you want to go back again Within 2 weeks we had dreamed up a reason to come back for a couple more days of soaking up the hospitality, serenity, and peace in the quiet area of Spring Valley We are thrilled to be staying in the Champagne room starting May 6th Do yourself a favor book it now, if you can, and add yourself the list of fans!!

First and foremost, Carole and her son Michael were wonderful hosts; great hospitality and great food I was in town for a show at the Observatory North Park which was a quick 15 minute walk from their B&B I got in late and cringed at how loudly the floorboards announced my return

*Please note that everyone can hear when you’re up and about in your room*I booked the cozy Rose Room which has a private bath and a private exit to the back porch area and pool; it is also right next to the dining room and kitchen so if you’re a light sleeper or like to sleep in past 8am-9am, people attending breakfast or anyone up and about in the kitchen/dining area, may wake you Also, if you have a vehicle parking may be limited Overall, my stay at Carole’s was lovely and I’d gladly recommend their establishment, a stay in their Rose Room, and a trip around North Park

Our family loved this hotel! The location was perfect for us – very safe and beautiful, Starbucks and good sushi just a few steps from the parking lot, lovely walking paths and two nice playgrounds, a basketball court at the hotel and incredibly kind staff We stayed Monday – Friday and loved every second We had a third floor, bay view one bedroom suite and it was perfect for our family of four

The views of the bay and the bridge were definitely worth the upgrade The pool was warm and never crowded and breakfast was decent We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

We just moved in here in Portofino and we can say that the moving process was smooth They were the only one in the area with immediate availability and we just had to move asap Their staff in the office were all nice but not the brightest to talk to

Although our apartment has outdated kitchen appliances and laundry, they’re all working well We wanted the stainless apartment but it’s additional $250++ on monthly rent It looks nice and bright but there were many wear and tear from the previous owner Again, we had to move in asap so we really can’t complainAmenities are outstanding Great views from spa area Fitness center is not too badI will UPDATE this review after one year when we move out Just reading all the move out complains of other people online makes me nervous as HG Fenton sounds to be very notorious during the move out and charge you with normal wear and tearNot sure about the whole story between them and their tenants but still, it makes me nervousJust hoping it will not be the case for us in the future, as reviews were outdated from 2018

Absolutely love this place! The amenities are first class Pool, Hot Tub, Gym, Clubhouse with Billiard Table The grounds are always well kept and the management staff is incredible! The apartments are spacious, very well maintained and modern

The community is also very peaceful and quiet Because of my work I relocate often and have dealt with many different apartment communities The manager here (Jose) has made this experience one of the best! Very professional, informative and ready to assist in any way possible I highly recommend Portofino I will definitely lease here again if on business in the area

Sarina Guida

We recently moved into the Portofino complex and we are absolutely obsessed It feels like you are waking up in paradise every single day The landscaping around the property was the first thing that caught our eye, then we saw the amenities and unit and we were completely sold! Everyone who we have been in contact with is so friendly and Isaac in the leasing office is AMAZING! He is so prompt with getting back to you and is incredibly helpful and kind and made move in so smooth for us! We seriously can not stop raving about our new home

My family of four and I were pleased with our stay here, located right by Mainstreet Walking around and finding a great place to eat and shop nearby was excellent The police station is the building’s neighbor, so it felt secure to walk at night

The staff is amicable! The pool was always at a warm temperature, and we enjoyed that while out on a night swim Beautiful Patio next to the pool as well

Natalia Jeanie

Love this place The staff are always extremely polite, courteous and more than helpful I wish the house keeping staff spoke a lock of English bc it’s really frustrating when they’re the only ones available and they have absolutely no idea what it is that you’re asking for or needing

The communication barrier is a huge road block and very unfortunate other than that very clean, great breakfast and free parking!

If I could rate this place less than one star I would I booked our one night stay based of reviews of this place Thinking it was a good safe place for myself and my babies to stay the night

I was sadly mistaken and anyone that has given this place a rave review in recent months are clearly being paid to do so! We checked in 4pm yesterday and checked out by 10p I didn’t even bother with any sorts of compensation for my 6hr stay 3 of which I wasn’t there Extremely unsafe area People screaming, clear visual drug deals in the back parking lot My non smoking room that clearly smells like cigarettes, masked with an over abundance of air-freshener The bedding that had cigarette burns in it The Door that doesn’t fully shut properly, my two year old could open it If you’re passing through and have children do not stay here!!! Extremely disappointed Original plans were to get a good nights sleep and check out in the morning not 6hrs after checking in with two babies!!!

So far I have stayed twice here Both times I experienced the same thingsFirst, they really don’t clean the rooms

They upgraded awhile back and as far as I can tell, have not washed the walls, doors or carpets sense The bath tub mats can be pretty dirtyThe rooms smell due to the carpets, airing it out helped littleThey come in daily to straighten the beds(not change) leave new towels and remove the trashThe heaters filters and vents smell and need to be cleanedTheir location is poor if you need quiet because they are right next to a noisy street that people gun their engines and race down Sirens are also prevalent in that areaParking is cramped and dirty, so are their walk waysI put up with it twice due to traveling for work and its near where I needed to be very early each morning Hoping the second time the room would be clean The beds were comfortable enoughAlso, the price was reasonableI would not stay again, and I’ll pay more and drive further

The hotel location is not bad The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating The room was nice and clean, perfect for our needs

My only complaint was the next morning around 9:30 the housekeeper opened the door without even knocking and really freaked us out I’m glad we put the door stopper over the latch It was just weird I had just gotten out of the shower So I think they could do better
