We upgraded this from The Worst Western to The Not the Best Western Positives are it was quiet, comfortable bed and pillows good air conditioning and the fridge freezer was amazing It froze water even in the fridge part and held so much

Downsides is it smelled of cleaner covering up pet/smoking/mold Desperately needs renovation Curtains and carpet were ripped, everything slightly moist No hot water at all… Security latch on the door was broken and hanging off I had to borrow cleaning supplies to take down a spider nest in the corner of the window near the bed However the employees were friendly and helpful as they could be No luggage cart upon check out but I was loaned a laundry bin on wheels which did the trick Next time I’ll go for a 3 star minimum hotel You get what you pay for basically

The property itself looked great upon entry, until we got to our room The room was not vacuumed; there was left over bits of food on the floor from the previous guests We have a 10-month-old crawler and we couldn’t put him on the floor

We also booked this place because we wanted to swim; unfortunately, the pool was closed due to the misuse of previous users/guests (what we were told by front desk) The shower was also dirty; someone elses hair was on the shower curtains When checking in, the guy at the front desk did not provide any information as to the closure of the pool, when breakfast and check out was, nor were we offered additional towels since we were a family of 3 I have worked in hotel hospitality and for $140 for one night, I expected our stay to be relaxing after a long drive, with some family time at the pool I suppose we could’ve switched rooms, but we didn’t realize it was dirty until about 2100 when we were finally settling in after dinner and getting ready for bed It was too late to pack everything and move, just to sleep, wake up, and then leave I also overheard a family complaining about the cleanliness of their room, so why botherI would like to add that breakfast was decent and it wasn’t busy at 0730 There is also a good selection of restaurants around the area to try out for dinnerREPLY TO OWNER: 1) we didn’t have any friends with us during our travel and my husband, nor I, went to the front desk to inform the clerk about our room situation I am not sure who you “offered another room” to, but it was not in relation to our trip or my review2) The front desk clerk did not specify that the pool was closed due to an incident involving a baby; he made it sound like it was a much more inappropriate incident Regardless, we should’ve been notified about the closure upon check in, so that we could’ve made other arrangements I would also like to add that I called day of, and was told there is a pool but closure was NOT disclosed Clerk informed us after we had already got dressed, went down to the pool, and then asked about pool hours as it was only 1830 He claimed the pool had been closed for several days3) I will call the hotel, however, we are from out of state and will most likely not be back

Being a hotel in Greensboro this one is one of the best! My friend came here out of town and stayed here this weekend and their room was clean, had a fresh smell, it was quiet at night, the air made the room feel sooooo good and the beds was so soft, clean, comfortable and I can go on and on I don’t even remember falling asleep because I knocked out talking because I was so relaxed! The people at the front desk was so friendly that we actually stood there and had a whole conversation which happens very little now and days! The breakfast had so many different options to choose from! Etc Eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese that you can throw on a sandwich, pancakes one morning and waffles the next, fruit, cereal, oats, fruit, fruit juices and coffee! Also another good thing about this hotel is that you can bring your fur baby! I saw so many doggies I fell in love! Thank y’all for being a fantastic hotel and when my friend comes back in town this will be our first option to choose from!

We recently stayed at the Marriott Airport for our wedding festivities We had 30 rooms blocked with friends and family flying in from different locations The Marriott shuttle from the airport was absolutely perfect

When guests arrived, they were treated extra special being a part of our wedding and being the bride, and I can honestly say there was such peace of mind throughout the entire weekend! We also hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Marriott and felt like royalty! Each staff member took a special part in our wedding celebrations, and we couldn’t have done it without them! The Due South staff serving my large groups of Italian/Southern families filled the dining area and was still cared for with the most extraordinary hospitality We worked with Amber coordinating our plans from room blocks, hotel gift bags, and rehearsal dinner, and everything discussed was brought to life to every detail; it was perfect Finally, I must mention Bril and Lillian at the front desk Talk about hospitality! They truly made my husband and I felt like king and queen and continued that feeling with my friends and family! They were equally excited and happy for us as the rest of our group From ensuring our rooms were perfect, guests were satisfied, and they went above and beyond by extending a helping hand outside their job duties! We loved every minute that was spent at the Marriott Thank you for everything! It truly means so much to the world to us!

The hot tub is not functional at this location and hasn’t been for many months I called the main Marriott phone line the day of my check in (prior to booking) to ensure that both the pool and hot tub were operational The ONLY reason I booked this hotel was for the hot tub and I told the associate this and I even went so far as to ask her to call the hotel directly and ensure it was working (the hotels direct # is not listed online)

I then had her verify she contacted the correct hotel and she ensured me multiple times that everything was operational

One of Marriott’s Best Hotels!I first stayed at the Greensboro Airport Marriott 7 years ago Every time I visit it has been perfect! I live a few hours away and when I have business in Raleigh/Greensboro/Charlotte I always schedule it for this hotel The rooms are large, super-clean, comfy beds, big bathrooms (well-lit mirrors/huge shower w/2 showerheads great for 2 people, sliding privacy door), easy to find, gigantic safe parking lot

Restaurant food is fantastic and affordable Chef makes a yummy home-made pimento cheese dip platter for 6 dollars and the 12 dollar cheeseburger with toasted bun was always perfectly cooked and juicy, you would eat it every day for lunch and dinner Super-fresh salad, steaks, friendly waitresses, many private places to sit in upscale restaurant and big bar Oh, Lidia at the front desk was one of the best customer service Marriott staff I’ve met and I usually stay at Marriott all over the country when I travel for business or pleasure, usually a Courtyard If you like the Courtyard brand then you will love this unique hotel Super Fantastic Pool! Indoor/Outdoor swim-thru passage Quiet with comfy lounge chairs, extra-clean oversized pool towels Surrounded by tall red Japanese maple trees on the right and other tall trees along the back, private Gazebo behind the pool One of the best pools you will find at any Hotel The only negative was that the Hot Tub was temporarily down while my girlfriend and I were there for the 3 days Hot Tub soaks are important for us Maybe Marriott could make it up to us by giving some points to my account (Marriott hotels are super-generous with this customer service feature) for a future stay again or some how arrange for us to do some day trip visits just to use the pool this summer? Big clean Gym to workout overlooking the indoor pool 30 person wedding party from NY/Texas/FL also stayed for 3 days and kept saying how perfect it was If you are the person who picks the hotel for a wedding or a conference and want to be a Hero with the group, this is a 100% winner Oh, for the men, my girlfriend is a sweetheart but very hard to please with hotels She always gives this one a perfect 10, if your wife is like this, then choose this hotel *wink* Also has very nice hypo-allergenic rooms I don’t know why this location is so incredible, it must have an amazing General Manager Long review but after 7 years, much deserved I always read reviews before I choose my hotel, hope this helps! Safe, Relaxing, Friendly, Super Clean

Perfect for a visit with our daughter – only 5 minutes from her apartment Room was clean, the plugs for electronics worked, (not always the case at a lot of hotels, which I don’t understand) and we were able to park fairly close to the door Breakfast was adequate

Nice that coffee was available during the day Were there for 3 nights and no complaints! 😀

Great location! Customer service was super! A bed, TV and a desk do not make up a suite I thought every room was a suite, but apparently not Bathroom was pretty decent sized and bed very comfy! It was less than a 15 minute drive to NC A&T, Bennett College and NC at Greensboro

Would stay again if in the area

monty ridenhour

For a limited service hotel, it’s quite good The room was missing one chair which wasn’t the end of the world Room, in fact the whole facility, was clean

Staff was courteous and competent For me, the location is a little awkward in relation to the business I do in Greensboro, but for folks traveling I-40 who need to overnight in Greensboro, it’s good

Room was non-smoking, but you could smell someone had smoked House keeping did a good job of cleaning but you could tell Evening reception was nice, they should use two bartenders during peak hours

The location is great and with the exception of those few issues I always enjoy myself when I stay there The chefs are great and I recommend ordering from the restaurant at least once during your stay

Brandon Deal

Some other reviews talk about this location being dated I couldn’t agree more I often read these reviews and think “dated” means it’s not brand new

This location is dated “dated” The pool isn’t heated as advertised They charged for parkingThey advertise their happy hour social but I didn’t attend because the line was wrapped around the atriumThere is a breakfast provided, of which we may have collectively eaten 8 bites of All you could take in the gravy was garlic and the powdered eggs has transformed into bits of yellow rubberI wouldn’t say don’t book this location There are most definitely worse options for lodging But, I would advise that you manage your expectations before booking here The staff is awesome!

UPDATE: Came in to our room this evening to one of the best cleanings we’ve had from a hotel Everything was organized perfectly and super clean Manager replied to my original review with a great attitude

+2 stars!Legitimately one of the jankiest places we’ve ever stayed atWhat you get for $215/night (a *premium* suite!):- wallpaper peeling off the walls- carpet pulling up from the floor- couches that look like they came from the goodwill- bathtub that doesn’t drain- shower that barely works at all- room service *by request only* 😂- blank walls where paintings used to be?This place looked like it hadn’t been updated for a decade

This isn’t a 3 star hotel, was a nice hotel once but now run down, mattresses hard as a rock, pick another hotel Order something for room service, you can’t even charge it to your room, what kind of room service is that!! Had better experience at lower end brands Stay at a Super 8 or Motel 6 it has to be better than this so called 3 star

Just stay at a 2 star lower end Marriott, you’ll thank me

Jimmy Jamz

How is this rated 40, makes no sense This is a 1/2 star, 39

99/night a hotel at best PICS ARE NOTHING LIKE WHAT YOUR ROOM WILL LOOK LIKE! Do not stay here, you will regret it If you do, bring a mask, sanitizing wipes, mop, cleaning supplies, gloves, and your own sheets/blankets/pillows Also be prepared to trash/burn everything you brought with you after you leave

Michael Holdcroft

I have no idea how this hotel has a 40 star Google review It’s pretty bad…like two star at best bad

The rooms are totally run down The maintenance is horrible The hall was flooded and stinks to high heavenI would expect much better from Wyndham This is Motel 8 quality See photos of our room for proof

The service was amazing All the people working were amazing Room was ok

Shower is super small, air conditioning didn’t work They were at full capacity and you could tell We order from the restaurant in the hotel The food made me sick for 2 days Also no room service at all We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and I wish we had chosen a different hotel We won’t be back

Rodny Dahlgren

I rarely leave reviews, good or bad because I feel they are a matter of opinion only and not necessarily factual but let me give you some facts about this hotel! The hallway outside my 2nd floor room smelled like someone heated up fish in a microwave but the smell never went away over time! Other guests were laughing, singing, playing and yelling in the hallway with no regards to other guests As I was sitting on the couch watching tv, I thought someone was coming through the door as someone hit it so hard that it sounded like they were kicking it in The room was actually large, spacious and fairly clean

Good luck getting any sleep in here though This is my 3rd stay here for business and most times you just have some jerk guests that ruin it for everyone but it’s the same story every single time and I will never return to this location They need to start throwing people out or they won’t have repeat customers

Very nice hotel The staff is friendly and the room is updated and clean A VERY nice free breakfast is included

Please note, the rooms are small Perfect for a single traveler or a couple but not more than two adults if you have stuff and need privacy (only the shower and toilet are in a separate room) I’ll definitely keep this place in mind, but not when there’s three adults

Don Huggins

Awful customer service and bad communication between management and employees The employees are unfamiliar with choice hotels and sleep inn policy As a diamond member of the choice hotel franchise I do not recommend this facility for the best accommodations

I was told by the evening attendant my late checkout for diamond members was 2:00pm The next morning I received a call out of my sleep at 12 noon threatened the cops will remove me if I don’t leave the facility This threat was giving before any explanations and without accomadations to prepare for leaving I have spent much money at this facility to be handled this way as a diamond member

Ms. Petey

As a Diamond Elite member, I expected so much more My 1st room was a disaster There were roaches, the tub panel looked like it was stained with blood or rust, couldn’t tell the difference

The bathroom ceiling appeared to have water damage from the room above because it was peeling and looked corroded The shower was filthy There was no power in the kitchenette, had to use the toaster at the sink vanity The curtains were dirtyAfter three complaints & mentioning to shorten my 30 days stay, I was transferred to another room, which was much better but still not up to the Marriott standards that I’m accustomed to I still wasn’t 100% satisfied so I ended my 30 days stay earlyAlso, just like EVERY Residence Inn I have ever stayed in, the side entrance door didn’t work with the room key so it had to be propped open with a rock so the guests could have easier access to their rooms, which we all know is unsafe

India Eddie

I reserved the suit It advertised a king size beds, it was more like a small queen The room was in serious need of repairs

Pictures missing, but holes remained The bottom of the dishwasher was missing leaving exposed wires Big stain on the carpet The lights above the sink do not work Trim through out the room was broken off the walls There was still food residue on the plates and silverware Wall paper peeling off the wallsOther than that, the room was great!

Gary Vogt

Hotel was very nice My room was obviously recently remodeled and I did not experience any of the negative issues others have mentioned The breakfast area was clean and had a good assortment for a hotel buffet style breakfast

You could see construction materials on the ground in the parking lot but there was no safety concerns from rhe materials I was happy with the hotel

Disappointed with the high price I paid The room how small, outdated and inaccessible as a wheelchair user The bed was hard as a board, the water couldn’t get hot and the breakfast was insipid

Surprised because this is a 3 star hotelThe only thing I loved out of the experience was Sunshine and TK! They were understanding, accommodating and serves outstanding customer service

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly! Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed The beds were super comfortable!! I stayed here with one of my friends and we felt very safe in this area Close to the highway so you’re close to the airport, Greensboro coliseum, etc

There are also a lot of restaurants about 5 minutes away!

DJ E

A very clean hotel, the rooms were nice Convenient location to the airport and 20 mins from the Truist Stadium Pool was crystal clear even with JO’s going on

However the breakfast has no meat The breakfast wasn’t very big in general If your vegan it wouldn’t bother you, but if you love meat all they have are omlettes, waffles, blueberry scones and muffins And of course cereal, but no meatOverall it was a very pleasant experience, just be aware of the breakfast Also despite the hotel being near the airport, you can’t hear the planes takeoff and land unless your outside That means the walls aren’t paper thin

MaryLou Tyler

Very nice, clean newer hotel with comfortable beds and rooms I really liked the walk-in closet! The best part was the hotel staff They are friendly, helpful and very attentive

The woman who worked the evening desk brought us a wine opener, cups and ice buckets ( with ice) and even pitchers of water so we could have a little covid happy hour on the outside patio! The staff made the difference between a nice place to stay and an enjoyable place to stay

My wife called perhaps 6 times in advance to confirm a specific room type (2 double beds and a pull out couch) During our drive down we were told that our reservation was canceled! We were obviously upset (no foul language, not yelling but upset) The front desk associate would not connect us to the manager as he was ‘busy’ when we asked to speak to him We called back immediately and the manager answered immediately (he was obviously right next to the associate) He explained that the hotel had a weather issue that caused flooding but that the repairs were complete and our reservation was not affected Great! We confirmed again – yes 2 double beds and a pull out couch The next day we are 15 minutes from the hotel and wanted to see if the kids could use the pool as it was probably too early to check in “Sure no problem” “And just to confirm the room 2 double beds and a pull out couch?” “No – sorry its not available” ???!!!! We get transferred to the manager – SHAWN PATEL He is obviously frustrated and assumes an inappropriate tone His first words are “is this the person that’s been yelling at my staff?” (?? Um what?) No not yelling – but yes upset He goes on to tell us that the room we requested and confirmed 6 times is not available We do not fit as a family of 6 SHAWN’s RESPONSE: “Well I’m just going to cancel your room” WE ARE NOW 2 MINUTES FROM THE HOTEL AFTER A 15 HOUR TRIP “What? NO DON”T CANCEL IT!” He states that he is canceling our reservation and hangs up on us I pull in to the hotel The front desk girl is all smiles I see the manager and say “Excuse me – you just canceled my reservation and hung up on my wife?” SHAWN”S RESPONSE: “I’ve been getting yelled at all week long by customers over these repairs and I’ve had enough I can choose to refuse any customer I want Here – take my card and tell someone who cares” Staying as calm as I can: “I just drove 15 hours You confirmed our room yesterday We called and confirmed many times You messed up Shawn What can you do to help us? We have no place to stay!” SHAWN’s RESPONSE: I didn’t mess up Leave or I’ll call the police”What a fine piece of work Shawn is As a lifelong Marriott member I could not be more upset He was beyond unprofessional He absolutely ruined a long planned vacation

If I could leave no stars I would The hotel was nice but they keep charging my card for the room multiple times an no one can explain why Waiting on the manager to call me back

My mom who also got charged multiple times has been waiting on the manager to call back since Monday and it is now Thursday We left the hotel on Monday and they still charging us now

No privacy here The staff will walk in your room at anytime and not announce themselves First night it happened at 2am and scared us to death, luckily we had the lock on so they couldn’t fully get in

Again the next day around 2pm and 3pm someone knocked on the door this time while we were trying to get rest before our concert It was the same person twice and I answered the door the second time and the person explained to me that we had been checked out of our room and she was there to clean it So then I had to go downstairs and reactivate our keys because they checked us out even though we had a two night stay And then our final morning there, around 10 AM another person tried to get to our room but again we had the lock on so they fully couldn’t get in I was very disappointed with our stay and did not feel secure there Wouldn’t recommend especially to women traveling alone

I visited this hotel while in town for a graduation Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted by the receptionist The check in process was quick and efficient

The room was spotless and well stocked with all essentials needed to make your stay comfortable Throughout the premises you can find Lysol stations to decrease the spread of germs They also allow pets at this hotel, but you would never know because it is thoroughly cleaned daily They also have pet clean up stations outside to keep the exterior clean as well This hotel has a bar and food The cook Robert is phenomenal Not only is he a dynamic cook, but he’s so personable and is eager to make sure all guests are well taken care of The breakfast staff was also friendly There is lots of food options to choose from My son had the opportunity to swim in the pool He loved every second! Overall, this property lives up to the Hilton standard It’s very clean, friendly staff, and loads of comfort I highly recommend and will definitely return

I’ve been here for a week now and I’ve been pleasantly surprised of the service I’ve received! The rooms are really clean and nice I’ve eaten at the bar most night and William who is one of the chefs has been most helpful in making sure that I receive exactly what I want when ordering He was very engaged with customer service and that goes a long way nowadays

Kudos to William and the rest of the staff for making my visit as enjoyable as possible!

It was warmer in my room than outside Why do hotels control the air conditioning at night??? I could not lower the temperature down from 70 degrees In a room that I paid $250 for!! I called the front desk but got no answer and I was dismissed when I mentioned it at check out

I am a gold diamond Resorts member and Hilton rewards member but nothing was done done at the hotel Very poor customer service

This hotel smelled so clean the moment we walked in The staff were very attentive and friendly They made sure we had everything that we needed and went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied

We were there for a family reunion and they made us feel like their family This hotel is clean and is in a great area close to nearby restaurants and stores We will definitely be back when we’re in Greensboro, NC!

the staff here was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable of the area, even printing direction to our destination and back to the hotel with any stops in between, thank you Miss Crystal ❤ (we joked about us having the same name LOL!)The GM, Karylis, was not only behind the desk, checking us in, handling the phones, etc but later, we saw her mopping the floors and helping her amazing housekeepers And that brings me to the cleanliness

As soon as you walk in, you can smell the sanitation and how maintained, this hotel is And to hear it’s just over 2 years old! Unreal!!! Our room was so clean and inviting, the bed was like a cloud Calling down to the Front Desk for towels or wash cloths were immediately executed Definitely our new home away from home!!!Thank you Guys!!!

I chose to stay at this hotel again because when I came last year it was new (or newly remodeled) and I had a great stay Not to include that it’s close to North Carolina A&T This time, I wish I’d chosen another place to stay

When I checked in to room 413, the front desk clerk (who was very nice) stated that there would be a $250 charge if there was smoking in the room I would expect this rule is for everyone; however when I got to my room, it reeked of marijuana so obviously someone had been smoking I thought I would call the front desk to make sure I didn’t incur the charges for someone else; however, when I picked up the telephone, there was no dial tone and it did not work The floor in the elevator and the floors in the bedrooms were dirty with spots, that could’ve been mopped up There was a big brown stain on the carpet I am very disappointed in my stay, and will probably not be back

This is the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in! No kidding! The first impression should have been a red flag but we were in town for a wedding so we sucked it up Overflowing trash and a dead plant greeted us as we entered the lobby Our first room had clearly not been cleaned

The bathroom had hair in the sink, mold in the shower and a broken toilet flusher I called the desk to change rooms but no one answered the phone I went back to the lobby to request a clean room I don’t think that term registered with the manager Our second room was only slightly better At least the toilet functioned and the sink was cleaner We did not eat the free breakfast because that area did not look very clean either Even The coffee was just lukewarm so we just went out for breakfast There was a broken liquor bottle in front of the non working elevator When I told the manager about the broken glass, she nonchalantly said that someone else mentioned that too It was finally cleaned up but there were still shards of glass visible We never did get housekeeping service to our room and when we mentioned it when we checked out, the manager acted clueless and just said she was “new”The entire hotel needs new management and housekeeping staff as a minimumAvoid Hilton hotels if at all possible! There are lots of hotels that do a much better job caring for their customers

This was a horrendous experience The hotel was dilapidated and dirty The rooms are small, disgusting, smelly and outdated

There was leakage in the bathroom and kitchen sinks Which were both full of hair I’m assuming from the previous guests The breakfast was revoltingly not edible The pool was closed due to a heating issue which was false advertisement The staff was very rude and not really helpful at all There were sketchy guys coming in and out of the place all the time I don’t know if they lived there or not There were tons of garbage bags filled to capacity piled up in the hallway overnight because none bothered to come take the trash out I would have checked out early but we were there to visit my dying uncle who is in hospice with stage 4 cancer I have never stayed in a motel before but I would imagine this is how mortifying it would be This place needs new management, new housekeeping, new maintenance and remodeling as soon as possible I would never recommend anyone to stay in a Hilton Home2Suites unless they are looking for a dirty motel 6 vibe This was unacceptable I would like to file a complaint with corporate as well

This location and its staff were great They were very welcoming and accommodating During our visit to the AAU Junior Olympics, we booked with a different hotel chain and after staying 2 nights canceled the rest of our reservation and decided to look for better accommodations

We ended up in Virginia Beach, unfortunately due to last minute we were unable to find accommodations at your any of your properties on the beach, so we stayed at another chain no words for that property Luckily for us your location had rooms available when needed to be back in Greensboro for my grandson’s last event at the Olympics It was great, the best sleep, cleanest property, family friendly, quiet, accommodating and just overall experience we had on this trip It was well worth it Pay a little more for comfort
