Richard Turcsik

The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable I had a room on the lower level facing the Garden State Parkway but thanks to the sound proof windows I could not hear the traffic The staff was great, especially Sebastian

The only downsides were that there is not a restaurant in the hotel, although they have a kiosk in the morning that sells coffee and light breakfast items However, there is an ACME within walking distance and tons of great restaurants just minutes away Try the Galloping Hill Inn in Union for an excellent hot dog! My only other downside was that they only clean the rooms and make the beds if you give them 24 hour notice that you would like your room cleaned

Thank you for honoring my request for late check-in My first room assignment was cancelled due to heavy smoke odor in hallway Front desk clerk made every attempt to accommodate

Thank you The fabric covered headboard in the second room assignment was mysteriously stained Please replace the mysteriously stained headboards It could cause the imagination to run wild Also, the top bed sheet reeked of fragrance very odd Since I’m highly sensitive to fragrances, this experience resulted in restless sleep and a severe migraine Due to my exhaustion level both at check-in and checkout, I had nothing else to spend Overall my quality of stay was voided mainly due to the fragrance issue Although a bit cramped, it wasn’t a huge issue for me Thank you Kenilworth Inn

Stayed one night before flying out of Newark Airport, using the fly and 7 day park package Very friendly staff at both check in and check out The room was not fancy, but relatively large and quite clean

Lots of parking on site, and the staff were efficient in ordering a complimentary Lyft to the airport (instead of a shuttle, as the driver was off shift) The coffee maker in the room was broken, but even that was a fairly positive experience as they had maintenance there within a few minutes to swap it out!

I can not say enough nice things about this location Clean, easy to get to, breakfast was tasty, bartender made a good drink They have a nice patio area, but know it doesn’t officially open until the bar opens

The front desk clerks were nice, the market was well stocked and if You need it, they have it If I’m in the area again, I would definitely stay there again

Shane Barber

I believe this was the warmest welcome I have ever received when checking into a hotel Whether here in the states, abroad, or even at a luxury resort The difference is those hotels did not have Jermaine and Golda like the little Hilton Hotel on Route 22 West in Springfield

Jermaine is so warm, personable, friendly, and caring He made me feel like an honored guest in his home for the weekend Golda was very attentive, patient with requests, has a million-dollar smile and just displayed uncommon hospitality and guest service Her positive energy was contagious This hotel has a dynamic duo at the front desk Both represent the Hilton Brand Image and Core Values Thank You Jermaine and Golda!!! If I ever need hotel services in Union County area you both made Hilton Garden Inn of Springfield the obvious choice!Respectfully,Shane Barber

Very nice hotel Clean rooms Good breakfast

Just like so many other Hiltons they are getting cheaper, and cheaper As a diamond member I spend thousands and thousands with Hilton When I ask for a couple $025 bottles of water to go in the morning about half just give it to me Usually outside of town Inside cities where younger people work the counter, they say you have to pay their full price for it How stupid I will just go around the corner to a gas station or store if they are going to be that way

A true gem for either business or personal stay We have stayed here numerous times due to working late and love it The owners are genuine and gracious hosts with great conversation

Cant wait to come back when the weather turns to sit on the porch while having my morning tea Perfect place for a long weekend getaway or business stay while enjoying the best of what Downtown Summit has to offer Thank you, Michelle & Nicholas

I was able to live comfortably as if I had come home Although the inn is over 100 years old, it is clean and the rooms are modern and It is a 5 minute walk to Summit DowntownThe staff are friendly and nice to sit in the garden at night for a beer

Especially, the strong wi-fi is good for simple jobs, both cell phone and notebook(laptop) work fine The water pressure in the shower is a bit weak^^*I miss the cool breeze of the garden

We spent our 50th anniversary weekend at the DeBary Inn in Summit and Innkeepers Lee and Sharon went above and beyond to ensure we had an experience to remember From the warm welcome to the beautiful surroundings and special attention they give to all guests, we highly recommend anyone going to Summit to make this a part of their visit! Suite 17 was the perfect accommodations and a place to call home for the weekend (the bed was the most comfortable we have encountered in our travels!) We went to the Papermill Playhouse for a show which was only 8 minutes away and the Inn is perfectly situated walking distance to town with numerous restaurants, shops and the train station The owners purchased the Inn one year ago and have updated it and made it beautiful, comfortable and a home away from home

We look forward to returning for what we know will be another memorable stay!

This hotel is close to Cape Liberty for cruising Only 30 minute drive Have stayed here one time prior years ago

The entire hotel has been renovated and looks beautiful Prices are competitive The hot breakfast was great, so many choices from waffles to oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, and more The restaurant in the hotel is VERY pricey even for everyday items Overall a great stay!

Very clean and spacious rooms However, service was lacking – specifically asked for the room to be cleaned and no one cleaned it Also had a kettle in the room with no base

When asked, they told us they would check tomorrow Then we had to ask again the next day to follow up and they told us they didn’t have kettles in the rooms anymore so it shouldn’t be thereBreakfast is subpar and does not vary – would be improved with more fruit options and reduction in processed foods

For the record, I am a Best Western Diamond member, and I’ve probably stayed at fifty or more different Best Western Hotels I love giving good reviews, and I hate giving bad ones, which I have done My philosophy is to be honest when the emperor has no clothes

This is a good review of The Hub Murray Hill, BW Premier Collection, Address: 535 Central Ave, New Providence, NJ 07974I stayed here for two nights in late March 2022, for the first time This is a hotel in transition from a Best Western hotel to what is now called a boutique hotel There are many obvious upgrades and a couple of hiccups that need to be adjusted Here’s the key thing, management (Mishko) is very responsive to guest needs Checking in and out was easy-peasy and parking was plentifulThe important stuff My room was spacious with a king-sized bed The mattress was delightful, the pillows exquisite, and the bed linen was excellent The Samsung TV was larger and of better quality than any in any BW hotel I’ve been to The channel selection was a bit better than average The heating was excellent And the room was set up for the latest technology, including a wireless charger HICCUP: There was no safe in my roomThe bathroom and shower were commodious, although, as is the new BW style, there was a need for more shelf space on the vanity HICCUP: The shower needed one or two bars for safety purposes Sometimes people get dizzy and need something to grab HICCUP: The was no place to hang a towel for reuseI enjoyed the coffee in the nicely appointed lobby I was able to comfortably socialize with friends There was also a library of books and a small business center HICCUP: The first two times I went for coffee the urn was emptyThe area is pleasant and there are many fine places to dine We enjoyed breakfast one morning at the Prestige Diner, ask for Gabriel and on the second morning, we picked up bagels at the Bagel Café and ate them in the lobby We also had sandwiches from the nearby Jersey Mike’s that were quite goodI recommend this hotel, without reservations, and I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I didNOTE: I rated this hotel with 4 stars Given the opportunity, my ratings would be 45 Stars

It’s absolutely beautiful! The grounds are beautifully maintained Everything is lovingly cared for The rooms are well appointed with very comfortable beds

The vintage charm is genuine and off the charts There are many areas, inside and out, for your ideal photo ops The Grain House Restaurant has delicious American cuisine, some of which is prepared with the abundance of delights growing in their own organic garden This lovely Inn is well worth your trip from near or far

I can’t say enough good things about Olde Mill Inn! This venue is perfect if you’re looking to have your wedding ceremony, reception and hotel accommodations in one place Lindsay was our coordinator and the day went absolutely perfectly! Before the wedding day, planning was easy and thorough The day of, Lindsay was readily available any time I had a question and she made sure that my bridal party and I had everything we needed wherever we were

I had a ton of decor and the team did a fabulous job of setting it up just the way I wanted it The reception space looked even better than I could have imagined and the food was excellent! The staff was so professional and every made sure everything was packed and secure in our overnight suite I highly recommend this venue!

Wedding venue review: Best day of our lives We truly can’t say enough good things about the Olde MillIf you’re lucky enough to work with Lindsay (sales) or David (maitre d’), you are in the best of hands

Both were excellent at communication, responding to emails and calls right away, and took care of every last detail Planning was a breeze and on the day of, David made sure that not a thing was out of place The ballroom looked stunning, all of our personal items were set up exactly as we’d hoped, and on our 100 degree wedding day, David was somehow everywhere we needed with an ice cold water The little things made us feel really special too – David brought us and our parents special plates of the cocktail hour food (since we were so busy talking with our guests), and even had food waiting for us in our hotel room for after the reception, (as we were having too much fun to eat our dinners)!Speaking of – the food was delicious We received so many compliments from guests and the staff were so friendly and attentiveIn terms of the venue, the whole place is beautiful and we LOVED having accommodations for our guests right there with no need for transportation It also worked out great for guests to grab continental breakfast the next morning tooWe are not people who usually write reviews, but we would not have changed a single thing about out wedding day and can’t recommend the Olde Mill Inn enoughBonus – we had our rehearsal dinner at the Grain House, which was also perfect Wishing we could hit repeat on the whole weekend!

We enjoyed our stay here My family stayed in the 2 queen suite with pullout couch The beds were comfortable

Shower pressure was strong The breakfast was okay They had a variety to choose from each morning There was always coffee in the lobby as well We stayed here to visit NYC, which was about 30 min with traffic to the Staten Island ferry Which I highly recommend My youngest daughter enjoyed the pool as well Water temps were comfortable… the hot tub could have been a little warmer To access the pool and fitness area you need to have the front desk personnel key you in, which u thought was weirdThey do not provide bedding for the pullout couch so u need to call down for that but they are prompt once called The road it’s on is quite busy but I honestly didn’t hear any traffic until late morning I would stay here again

I used to think of Holiday Inn Expresses as no-frills but pleasant stays Not anymore The room reeked of mold and mildew with damp carpet and blankets

I tried desperately to sleep and woke up at 4 AM unable to sleep anymore because of the moldy smell, finding mold on the window I could feel the cells of disease growing in my body because of the mold On the positive side, the breakfast was good, the room was clean except for the mold, and the check-in woman was nice The breakfast area was extremely hot and unpleasant, however The jacuzzi in the pool area was too cold and had an unbearable amount of chlorine that stung my eyes I can see from the other reviews the hotel staff lie in response to that allegation and state some part of the pool is broken – clearly not true A horrible place to which I vow to never return and couldn’t wait to come home to advise others to steer clear – unless you love breathing mold through your nose and mouth all night

bevin holcroft

This place was horrible! By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Our “suite” smelled of old cigarettes and fresh marijuana There were children screaming and running up and down the halls until after 1:30am When I checked out at 4am to catch a flight, there was were suspicion dealing going on out of the front of the hotel

Do not stay here!!! My in-laws stayed at the comfort inn and had a very nice night, I suggest that as a much better option!

A group of us booked 3 separate rooms 4 months before an upcoming wedding, and ALL of our rooms were canceled last minute They told us they would help us rebook at another hotel, but when we called they said they wouldn’t help us Like what the hell? It’d be fine if they canceled us way in advanced, but no they canceled 2 weeks before the trip and at this point most of the other hotels around that area seem to be booked out for other events

Absolutely terrible customer service, never even looking at another Sonesta hotel in the future

Jeeca Cabral

I definitely don’t see how people have given this place 4 and 5 stars I’ve spent nights at the Wyndham in different states and can say my boyfriend and I were very disappointed The room had NO mini fridge

The drain to the shower was clogged so every time we showered the tub filled up The curtain in the bathroom had a old dirty rag musty smell that was a little nauseating Found hairs in the shower the first night I am a pretty tall female so I can’t imagine what it’s like for someone shorter than me to access the safe It was in the closet on the top shelf I couldn’t see if anything was in it and struggled to even put my purse in it and locking it Tennis court was horrible Basketball court was used for employee parking Elevator didn’t seem to secure, you could barely push the buttons without the panel moving with itThe good things about the hotel was the television stations were good, the air conditioner worked fine, had hot water when showering, gym had good equipment

Moza Miller

We had Excellent service here The spa was clean with plenty of towels The rooms were spotless

The room also turned out to look better than the photos you see online The linen is very clean and soft The toiletries are very soothing to the skin The beds and pillows are very comfortable The doors are wide enough for wheelchair access even if a handicapped access room isn’t available Their onsite restaurant have a variety of food and drink and stays open late Also the dining room have some 😋 delicious food If you come back from a late venue like we did the hotel has the menu for a nearby restaurant that delivers to the hotel and they make some spectacular food This hotel staff go over and above to make sure your stay is comfortable If I’m ever in the NY/NJ area again I will definitely stay here again

Breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel, it was good Rooms look like they’re kept up with and they actually care about cleaning and maintaining them What made my stay over the top great was the lady that works the desk at night (didn’t get her name unfortunately)

She was super helpful and patient through the whole check-in and happily helped me with my 2-3 requests that I had throughout the stay Recommend this spot if you’re staying in the area

Dmitry Dolnikov

be aware that the rooms in this hotel do not have any kind of ventilation air in the room is stale and stuffy windows can’t be opened at all, there is no such option, by design, they are just air tight

imagine how it feels when you experience lack of fresh air and oxygen, increased co2 and decide if you’d like to book here i wish i knew this upfront and not chose this hotel ever

Carol Beynon

I’m not usually one to leave a bad review, but this place 0 stars I don’t know if it’s because we booked through a third party, but our room was filthy

It’s like they just came and made the beds and that was it… with comforters that had huge rips in them The floors and carpets had crumbs The bathroom floor had dirt and hair balls behind the door Oh and the microwave had dried up crusted food all in it It also reeked of cigarette smoke Thankfully we were only there two nights

Erin was fantastic to work with! She answered every phone call we made We had a huge wedding and needed a lot of rooms We also needed a hair and makeup room and a room for brunch the next day

Our friends and family can’t stop talking about how elegant the Archer was Our wedding used the pool, the bar area, and it was centrally located to everything The shuttles picked up our guests timely for our wedding at the Crystal Plaza only a short 10 minute drive away The Archer even gave us a wedding gift which we will treasure in our new home we just bought If you’re looking to be treated like royalty, book the Archer and ask for Erin!-Rachel and Adam Marcus

We really enjoyed our one night stay for a wedding Front desk staff was pleasant and efficient and were able to check us in early The hotel has a great esthetic and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with lots of nice touches like books at the bedside and complimentary salted caramels and water

Would recommend and would stay again

Violet Kitsune

We booked this hotel to attend a wedding Overall the place was pleasant and comfortable, and everything was clean The only complaint is that the staff were a bit lacking in hospitality; we were presented with a check for breakfast as soon as we sat down, and I requested an item only for it to be brought up hours later

Other than the minor complaints, we enjoyed our stay

We had such a wonderful stay here this past weekend The hotel – lobby, market, and rooms – is beautiful and the staff is so lovely Doug helped me when I checked in

My card wasn’t working so he instructed me on how to do an online authorization so we could make it work He was so polite and patient with the fact that I was making check in more complicated And the whole while I enjoyed chatting with him and the other front desk staff He was pleasant each time we had to stop by the desk to get parking validated The staff at the bar and the coffee shop/market were also incredibly friendly The whole time I just felt like we were staying with friends Everything about it was just great I will absolutely stay here again

C

Stayed here for a wedding Overall wonderful experience! The staff were great The rooms were very clean and had awesome amenities

My experience would have been better if there was a full restaurant, room service, and breakfast was served for a bit longer If it wasn’t for the wedding close by I may not have stayed at this hotel because it’s quite pricey, but it was a great stay and well worth it

As a Hilton fan, we are a bit disappointed The check in was very smooth, staff was very friendly and helpful Room was very comfortable, great view, but be awarded pictures can be misleading

outdoor pool is not as fancy and big as we expected, a lot of people using it daily( at least when we were there), patio is part of the restaurant for outdoor dinning, cant just go in there and enjoy the seating parking is not free, will cost you 18 dollar per night no microwave at all in the room or lobby Breakfast was not impressive Staff were nice, but really short staffed do your calculation before booking

Samantha help us book our wedding block rooms and sent up complementary champagne with my wife’s name on the label, as well as chocolate covered strawberries She was so great to work with and the hotel couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful They even helped us when her ride to the wedding didn’t show up and she was dressed in her wedding dress waiting to go to the ceremony

The hotel stepped up with their Hilton Honors Cadillac and got her there in time for the ceremony Thank you for making our stay so special and memorable

Ok this hotel is very very nice in regards to the rooms Recently renovated however they charge 18$ a night for parking AND make sure you double check the bill! They might double charge you If you’re Hilton honors the 15$ meal credit is essentially worthless for breakfast

Coffee is 7$ and They charge 20$ on average for their meals which are merger at best! I would skip this Hilton location and go to their Home 2 down the road with free99 breakfast AND free parking

really quite nice and inexpensive Faced with paying about $250 for a night at the Hilton Garden Inn or $150 at the Turkey Inn, it was a great inexpensive alternative The person with whom I spoke a couple of times before I arrived was thoughtful and attentive and made the logistics work perfectly

A large comfortable room with old furniture was really welcoming This is a great find in the State I Hate (Spent my formative years in NJ and its certainly a good part of the reason I am malformed)

Loved staying here! I called the owners last minute and they were so accommodating and got everything ready quickly I spent time talking to Bill upon arrival whose family owned the inn for generations and he is lovely! So much history! The room (room 9) was on the top floor and large, comfortable and such a great value Included coffee, a cooktop, microwave and fridge, a large seating area and work desk

The grounds are lovely and we’ll cared for, and it’s a quick 2-3 minute walk into the middle of town Definitely recommend and will be back

Super-cute inn only a few blocks from Springfield Avenue and the Summit Train Station Though there is free parking, it is also close to community parking lots My ensuite room was big, very clean, and came with thoughtful details like a bottle opener, champagne flutes, and even a flashlight

Check-in was finished even before I got there (I received my keys in a personalized envelope), and there is a complimentary coffee bar in the sunny front sitting room The only downside was that there wasn’t an elevator (that I saw), so anyone with mobility issues might have a more difficult time reaching the rooms on upper floors

Location was great; the town is very walkable and this hotel is close to so many shops, restaurants, transportation, and parks I booked in advance through Snap Travel and received an itemized receipt Upon checking in, I gave my credit card, I assume for any damages

In my room, the phone on the desk was fake (no dial-tone, buttons didn’t work), the refrigerator was stuck at 48 degrees (the light did not work on it, neither up and down buttons worked) and there were a couple of other things if I was knit-picking, but I won’tMy biggest concern was the fact that I signed a receipt, but did not receive one from the hotel What I signed was regarding parking my vehicle in their lot I then received a charge on my credit card for the amount of a 1-night stay, that remained pending through the week Upon calling the hotel to ensure this pending charge would be cancelled, they asked if I was certain I checked out, asked for my full name, my credit card number, and phone number It seemed I was not in their system, or they were having trouble confirming I was ever thereI’m hoping to receive contact again soon

We stayed in this hotel May 25-June 1 The total for our stay was $1,19175

This hotel froze $5448 of our money, which caused us deep distress while on vacation! What type of business does that??? We have bills that are paid out of our account and they had this large sum of money tied up and unavailable for our use I tried numerous times to resolve this issue with the front desk and was assured that the manager would contact me I NEVER received a call from this manager and the staff could care less that my family was being billed this astronomical amount of money while on our vacation They ruined our vacation and severely limited the things we were able to enjoy with our kids We even had to shift money around at the last minute to make sure that our mortgage payment was covered!!! This is unacceptable and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Such a beautiful old-world hotel that is frozen in time Elegant and charming are the first words that came to mind when I walked into the beautiful lobby The room was recently renovated but still has much of the old hotel architecture such as a window in the bathroom

The staff are all very friendly and the bar is definitely a locals hangout that welcomes visitors with open arms Every single employee we encountered was courteous, friendly and accommodating Such a wonderful place to rest after a long flight The hotel is very convenient to Newark without the New York prices Highly recommend

Bonnes Affaires

My partner and I have stayed numerous times at Grand Summit We usually need to check in early, around (1/1:30 pm) for meetings, and check out very early (5 am) We never had to pay for an early check-in until the last time

The front desk attendants enlightened us that the new check-in fee of $50 is the result of the new management and cannot be waived Clearly, the new management is not making good business decisions as we will not be staying there again because of it In general, the hotel was ok- clean rooms, generic and tacky decor, and hit-or-miss staff We mostly stayed there because of its historic past and convenient location

Hunnigut Baumgartner

$300/night (not even base prices, this is the rate I got through a third party) TO FIND MENS BOXERS IN THE DRESSER IN THE ROOM, a motel with full size beds, a/c that won’t go lower than cooling the room to 75° in April with the heat blasting in the hallways while it’s 71° outside, and a “deluxe continental breakfast” that resembles prison food Complete rip off, the fact that it looks interesting from the outside does not justify these prices

Listen! I love this place! The location is amazing you have the park and the river front around the corner and Penn station right down the street from ferry street! On top of the service friara and his wife prove an excellent service The rooms are cleaned and well maintained and make sure you’re comfortable during your stay They are very accommodating and will be coming back! They are responsive and very hands with any issues you have

Munashe Shumba

I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by this place! It is as beautiful as the photos The floors are in pristine condition, kitchen appliances are modern, stainless steel, the bathroom is clean, no mold, looks new, each guest has their own access code which grants access to only the appropriate apartment and bedroom which is perfect for security in a place shared by many It’s very clear a lot of love and money went into putting this place together

The spaces are also cleaned frequently and there’s a robot vacuum that periodically cleans common spaces Host/owner pops in to check in on guests every day or two There’s an efficient system to keep everything running smoothly from name tags in the fridge to lockable cupboards in the bedrooms The rules are very clear and sensible -keep your stuff in cupboard, cleanup after yourself, no sleeping on the couches, be fully dressed all the time- just how to be a decent human when you share a space with others This place is also very affordable! The neighborhood is lovely and feels safe There’s a gorgeous bike path and park a block away by the canal/river and there is another park with tennis courts 3-5 mins walking distance away 15 mins walking distance from Harrison Path and also from a strip with banks, shops, etc This place is for people who know how to live considerately of others The rest are going to spoil this gem for everyone else

Great place to stay with an even better price! Especially for the amazing quality you get Mixed dorms, however women get their own room and aren’t mixed into rooms with menIt’s exceptionally clean and very comfortable, as well as relaxing

The guest tend to respect one another and I never once felt concerned for any of my belongings turning up missing Many are actually very helpful to other guestsClean kitchens and all are welcome to use it as they please The owner, Mr Faria, is reasonable and always willing to helpI’m so honesty, it took some getting used to sleeping in bunks again at my age lol, but it was comfortable and I got along with my bunk matesIt’s not your typical hostel, it’s more like a bed and breakfast, only you make your own breakfast lolYou can’t beat the price for the quality
