This was the worst hotel stay of my life It’s supposedly a 3-star hotel, but don’t believe the picturesThe rooms have an old, unclean feel with creepy 19th century portraits on the walls

My room in particular seemed okay at first glance, but then I noticed the ants–there were dozens traveling to and from a piece of chicken from a previous guest It was disgusting On top of this, the coffeemaker was not working I told the front desk staff (whose names I didn’t catch), requested a room cleaning, and a new coffee machine They took no action, but I’m a fairly patient person so I issued another request for help before I eventually got spray from staff member Chris and exterminated the ants myselfAfter seeing all of this, one sympathetic staff member, Miriam, told me the conditions of my stay were “unacceptable” and that she would talk to her manager The following morning before it was time to check out, I tried to take a shower I had broken a sweat from a work out and had to catch an early train so I needed to get going, but my shower wasn’t working Katherine, the staff member, said they had no engineer on hand to fix it I asked if I could use another shower because I really needed to go Katherine then sent me to a recently vacated, unclean room to shower in The room was a mess and there was a cash tip on the sheets for hotel cleaning staff This was extremely unsanitary, and I couldn’t believe they did this during a global pandemic Their excuse was that they were fully booked I did not shower and was gross for the rest of the day until I checked into another hotelAfter all of this horrible treatment, I was brought to tears Still, they gave me no compensation for my horrible stay Nothing came of Miriam’s talk with her manager or my requests for support through my booking agent Bookingcom OVERALL THOUGHTS: I would not book here unless you want to risk paying hundreds of dollars for an unclean, old room and unfeeling hotel staff

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights while visiting from the UK on businessI really enjoyed my stay! The room was clean and spacious The hotel was very peaceful and I was able to both work and relax when needed

The bed was comfortable and the staff were super friendlyThe shuttle bus was very handy and made travelling so much easier I would absolutely stay againThank you to all the staff I met

Edgardo Zelaya

Really nice hotel Great place to come if you or your party is hard of hearing The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was friendly

The campus too was very pretty and there’s the added college public safety at the gate at all hours There’s also a capital bike share at the entrance and on the side entrance where you can access Union Market to get food

Overall my stay was enjoyable The College Park Holiday Inn was located in a great area not to far off I-95 Ext

on Ikea Way and yes it shares a parking lot with Ikea The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant both reasonably priced Their breakfast buffet is very fulfilling and kids eat free That was a plus! Although I didn’t get a opportunity to use the pool, they did have a indoor pool in Tower One The staff were all very friendly My room was clean as well I definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the area

Kala Twigg

Front desk staff were kind & tried to help as much as they could But this hotel is disgusting Not clean

Whole first tower smells like water damage My lungs & throat have been killing me Was contemplating staying extra days Definitely not now Moved rooms because the first definitely smelled of animals Children were complaining of that And water damage The elevators smell like urination And there is dust & dirt in every crevice Not to mention a very strange encounter at “free breakfast” which we wound up paying for I will be beyond grateful to be HOME (We originally wanted to stay at Hilton… it was having some Reno issues so they suggested we shop nearby, sad this is where we chose) Id venture to say the water/sprinkler system went off multiple times at some points in the past The carpets reek of water/mildew Convenient to the highway But … save your money people Drive elsewhere

Dan Royea

I really enjoyed my stay here Staff was very friendly and helpful Hotel was very clean no matter what area I was in, either my room, at the pool and in the elevator

I really enjoyed the color changing water wall (be sure to check it out) And this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has a doorbell for every room How cool is that? Plus the ring around the button changes red for do not disturb (also shuts off doorbell function) and green if you want your room cleaned Nice indoor pool Also has a nice restaurant/bar Outside was just as clean as the inside was It’s 30 minutes from the White House and 20 minutes away from the airport I highly recommend staying here if your in the area

We spent one night at the Courtyard recently I loved this hotel The room we stayed in was large and really nice

The bed was comfortable and the down comforter along with a strong air conditioner gave us a great sleepThe only small knock against this hotel is the location It was easy enough to get wherever we wanted to go – the hotel is less than a block from the NoMa station on the red line So that part wasn’t bad But the neighborhood was under a lot of construction, and didn’t appear to be among the safer neighborhoods in DC Also, because of the construction, getting to the hotel was a bit of a challenge The directions given by it GPS included what would have been illegal left turns, so we had to go a long way around to make our way It was all a little confusing But once we got there we were able to park the car and take the Metro everywhere we wanted to go, so it wasn’t a big issueThe rate on the room was really reasonable, the service was good and the folks at the reception desk were both very nice and very helpful We would happily stay here again

BC Turk

To start, the valet parking is outrageous but there is a garage literally right down the same road for about a third the price The staff is super friendly Housekeeping would speak to us and ask if we needed anything as we headed to the elevators

Everyone was always saying, Have a good day” The amenities within the hotel room were good We checked the sheets and filters and all was clean Sheets are super thin but worked out okay Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink/bar All the you need I like the security they have coming in It is a two minute walk to the Metro (red line) Would recommend for location being close to a walking path and the Metro

Mohammed Mohammad

Stayed here for 4 days Overall my stay was great My stay included breakfast

This hotel is great in terms of service and kind staff As for the breakfast, it’s not an open buffet style They have a menu and customer choose from it Though the choices were limited, we enjoyed every breakfast dish we tried Chef Mo is an excellent chef excited these dishes in a fine great way Ladies tacking the orders also were very friendly and helpful As for the location, it’s a 15-20 min walk to the convention center and a little bit more to reach the attractions near to it The only thing they need to add is an airport shuttle which currently not available Enjoyed the toiletries with the refreshing lemon smell Overall, thank you guyz for the great stay

The Omni DC is a wonderful place to stay while visiting our nation’s Capital As a guest, It is not uncommon to run into our political leaders, or dignitaries, as many of them have meetings inside the hotel The old world charm of the hotel, is not lost to mismanagement, or poor upkeep

It’s truly one of a kind I would recommend this place to anyone It’s so close to so much, and has some of the most beautiful surrounding streets, large bridges, and enormous towering trees ; that so much of the city has lost with the rapid development The staff is also very knowledgeable, courteous, and will go out of their way to see you are enjoying your stay The rooms are spacious, and clean, there is a great little cafe, as well as a restaurant that serves very traditional breakfast My only complaint, would be that the magnet keys are very easily deprogrammed, so if you can take one piece of advice, don’t let your phone, or any other cards near your key card Lastly their is a plethora of good, inexpensive restaurants just a stones throw away, as well as a CVS and an exquisite liquor store, that offers a wide assortment of wine and spirits I could go on about this hotel, I suggest you just give it a visit yourself I almost forgot about the pool… Great way to relax and take in some of the natural beauty, while basking in the midday sun By

Mandy Cluff

Staff was top notch My flight arrived early, with luggage I opted to go straight to hotel, the front desk was amazing Got me checked in early with a smile and a promise of getting me taken care of

The room was large and gorgeous, very clean, bed was super comfortable I walked the beautiful grounds, read outside and had a nice afternoon I was staying for a conference- all meeting spaces and meals were well done The staff was always right there when needed at any level From the doorman, concierge, front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, maintenance not one passed by without a friendly smile or a hello My stay was amazing, can’t wait to return

Michelle Olson

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this hotel! Upon arrival we were met with a friendly greeting from the doormen Our bags were brought up by the bellman within 30 seconds of entering our room From that moment, every employee that we had contact with was friendly & helpful! David at the concierge desk had so much knowledge of the area & was able to get us a dinner reservation at a wonderful restaurant

The gym has a wide variety of machines The outdoor pool was clean & well maintained I also like that the hotel is right next to the trails at Rock Creek park, the Metro is a block away, the zoo is a three block walk (or $2 bus ride) & there are numerous restaurants to choose from a block away My only complaint would be that the bathroom counter was small but that is what you get in a historic hotel

Only halfway through my stay but I felt so inclined to leave a 5 star review just because of the amazing experience thus far I wish I could leave 10 stars, the front desk is absolutely lovely Natasha took care of me in a desperate time, I will be forever grateful

It’s really the little things that add up so well to create such a wonderful stay I will definitely recommend this hotel to all that stay in this area and if I am ever fortunate enough to stay here again, I will in a heartbeat Thank you Cambria, and thank you again, Natasha

Gaurav Aggarwal

The rooms were clean and pleasant Comfortable beds and nice modern layout Everything was great in the bathroom too

Lots of charging ports and powered blinds with blackout as wellHowever every 5 minutes there was loud banging around for 150 seconds As if a motor was off center Like a bad laundromat or a jack hammer or an a/c that wasn’t working correctly We were on the 6th floor and it was impossible to have a quiet moment or sleep

Josue Orellana

Overall the place is in excellent location, close and walkable to the university Great for families for a confort stay Restaurants, pharmacy in grocery stores are within 2 miles radius

There’s free parking A+ also, inside restaurant/ bar The rooms are very clean and feels a good vibe The only downside is Baltimore Ave sometimes gets little noisy around midnight Most staff are friendly and professional

I was a little nervous about staying at this property at first simply because the last few Hilton properties that we’ve stayed at, our experience has been horrible My husband and I was pleasantly pleased with our stay this time Location is very convenient to everything you can think of, check in was pretty quick, our room was huge and for the most part clean

When we first walked in our room part of the ceiling had fell on the floor I called down to the front desk and after a little confusion someone finally came up and cleaned the mess up The breakfast that they offer is pretty amazing compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in The hot tub was nice but the pool was on the smaller side, but in my opinion, Hilton hotel pools are pretty small across the board Just be warned the pool is shared with a contractor that teaches swim lessons Other than that our stay was pretty nice I would consider staying here again

Allen Rawls

Staff is very friendly and accommodating Complimentary breakfast is great During our stay on 3-19-2022 we were able to eat bacon, Sausage, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, omelettes, French toast, potatoes, muffins, toast w/ toppings, oranges, apples, yogurt, cereal, bagels w/ toppings and oatmeal

The pool is only 4ft deep but that was plenty for our children Everything was clean Shopping is available right off the side of the hotel And the metro has an entrance at the bottom of the hotel Highly recommend!!

Tierra Holman

This was my 1st time stay here1:I didn’t get his man name, but the guy at the front desk was very condescending not a Pleasant2: calling the front desk you can’t get anyone you have to keep calling3:it was only one working elevator so it Took forever to get on and off the elevator

4: The pool didn’t have towels for you to use5 : I wish they have vending machines with other snacks and it not just sold usThe room was very clean and the breakfast was good It could’ve been better

I had a 2 night stay here last week and I was greeted by Mia who was a very friendly and informative employee She even offered to look up restaurants/closest wine stores nearby for me when I inquired I really appreciated the kindness upon arriving

My room was very clean and and modern and the shades made the room dark for sleeping The only issue I had were some very noisy neighbors around midnight which lasted until around 1:30, which sounded like they were moving furniture around for 45 minutes and banging on the walls, but that is not the hotel’s fault I enjoyed the breakfast and always available coffee/tea in the lobby as well I was going into DC and the Greenbelt Metro station was a 10 minute drive from the hotel, which was very convenient also I look forward to staying here again the future

Kayle Mabry

I always travel for work and always stay here when I’m in town It’s one of the cleanest and best 3 star hotels I’ve stayed in It’s always extremely comfortable and is a good location and everything is up to date and new

Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the noise at night if you’re on the highway side of the building I’m in my 20s and never have issues sleeping even with noise but even this was a little much for me Other than that I would recommend this hotel everytime

Andrew K

Staff was excellent! I’m sorry I can’t give 5 stars on this alone and separate it from the Hotels location! A crowd of “youths” in and around the lobby as I’m checking in after midnight And on the street in and around the Hotel there was rambunctious activity and even fighting that had local police intervention! Great stuff when you’re trying to sleep And not just for a minute or two, this went on for hours! I expect more from a Hilton! And oh, the water dripping out of the shower, basically made it useless was the kicker! Unacceptable! Otherwise the room was spotless and nice, very clean! Again, staff was wonderful and I felt sorry for them having to deal with the trouble there

This location is great! Went to Bethesda Jazz and Blues for a concert The staff is very friendly, courteous and accommodating Kenneth in particular really stood out for us

He took the time to answer questions about the hotel and provided us with the contact information for us to follow up on the weekday when the appropriate person returned to work He really made us feel at home I also witnessed other staff walking other guest outside and explaining directions Everyone greeted us at any time of the day In the morning, we took advantage of the roof top pool which our special needs son really enjoyed Parking was a bit challenging however, they have alternate options to accommodate We will definitely return to this location Kudos again to Kenneth, you rock!

This was our first stay in Bethesda and the Bethesdan Hotel was excellent in every way The rooms are large and the beds comfortable But the best part was the front desk staff who went above and beyond to make us feel at home

Karen , the night bartender was such a delight, even making a special drink for me to celebrate my birthday We will return Well done Hilton and the whole staff at this gem of a hotel

The customer service is great and parking is easy The manager Timothy is kind and helpful Nice amenities and the restaurant/bar is good

Admittedly, the rooms are small The overall facility is the draw, not the individual rooms so muchThe art & sculpture galleries on the lower level is a nice bonus(though that technically is the UMCG art collection) There have a permanent and temporary artist exhibits Overall, a comfortable place to stay and visit

Dee

From the moment of check-in, my stay was great! Larry Rollins at the front desk was so helpful from checking me in to my employee forms that I needed He was very warm and welcoming!! Thank you for the upgrade, we ENJOYED the suite greatly!! 🙂 The hotel was very clean and every associate we encountered was very nice We will definitely be back for another staycation!

Horrible Bonvoy member and literally had a closet for a room Literally

And at not a cheap rate No AC and room was so stuffy Could not lower it myself as it had been locked Had to call in service who lowered the temp but vent ended up just blowing air and not cool air Have horrible allergies so suffered all night without this Putting in formal complaint

We always stay at a Holiday Inn Express when we travel but this was not the same experience Outside looks like their typical/renovated hotel however, rooms are very dated and small I wouldn’t recommend this location if you enjoy other Holiday Inn Express locations, you will be disappointed

Pros:-Not far from tourist attractions-No daily parking fee (others in the area charge)-Parking lot/facility was gated and well lit-Morning front desk staff were pleasant and helpfulCons:-Typical breakfast was missing ‘normal’ options daily (We were there for 6 days/5 nights) Also, breakfast staff was overheard talking about guests to other guests (not positively)-No hot water one morning but was corrected in the afternoon Also, shower made a very loud sound while water was running-Rooms are very outdated and small comparatively-Possibly not the greatest area but I’m not from around there I only say that because the front door is a key card swipe to open 24/7 and there is a security guard overnight

Johnny M.

This location is situated perfectly for enjoying the area It’s a safe and clean place to stay The Ritz Carlton it is not

There was a disconnect somewhere on there part concerning my reservation but fortunately it was resolved later that evening It has its own parking lot but if you happen to go when the hotel is at capacity, finding a spot might be a chore Parking spaces are tight It’s very dated and some of the furniture and drapes in my room looked tired It definitely needs some attention to detail Breakfast was OK and served its purpose Walmart is just down the street I would stay here again but it would not be my first choice

Renée

Pros and cons—Cons: To Google maps and IHG Google stated this was 8 minutes from my destination NOT!And from the employee standpoint

ahem IHG please get them renovated!!Pros: Staff, hkpg and the girl at the front desk who greeted me were wonderful! (give them a raise!)Clean but dated rooms Breakfast was yummy, just like the one at my hotel!👋😄

We stayed here for two weeks while our home was being remodeled The location was perfect for us We booked two rooms as my husband and I both work remotely and had our double monitors set up in each room

The desk/chair was comfortable for working 10+ hrs/day The internet was fast and reliableThere is no kitchen but there are plenty of eating options just steps from the hotel There is a microwave and a small fridge The free coffee in the lobby was pretty good too!Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool as a treat and we made use of the fitness centerThe breakfast is cooked to order and served I would have rather full self service because it took a long time in the mornings, but it was good The food was fresh, especially the fruitsEveryone was friendly and the accommodations were comfortable overall It is not easy to live/work out of a hotel with small kids, we made the best of it and this turned out to be a great option

Shujie Dong

The hotel looks great from outside, bedroom clean and big Unfortunately, The bathroom smell of Urine When speaking to the staff who insisted that all rooms cleaned very well and she didn’t smell it and she stated she had a good nose

The front desk staff is professional but I cannot feel her warmthOther than that the hotel cafe’ staff is very friendly, look forward to switching to a different room this afternoon

VagabondMike

This hotel looks clean and modern, but that’s where the comfort ends Every expense was spared in the comfort of this hotelI’m sure they could have found a firmer substance for the bed

Maybe concrete, but even that may have been an improvement, at least springs wouldn’t have been stabbing at me all nightThe pillows are feather, but broken down horribly I would like to think it’s from washing them so often, but they weigh a ton for a feather pillow, which means they’re probably full of dust mites from years of useIt was clean, but I probably would have gotten a better nights sleep in the truck Spend your money somewhere else

But, the staff at this hotel makes the stay more enjoyable Mr Tilahun, the general manager, was very courteous, helpful, professional, and attentive to his guests need He made sure we enjoyed our stay One of the engineers, Andrew, was exceptionally welcoming and always said: “If you need anything, we are here for you” which meant a lot to us The housekeepers did a fantastic job keeping our room and hotel neat All of the staff we encountered displayed warm and welcoming smiles every time The front desk staff was professional and helpful Ms Sherry especially treated us like family We miss her warm and caring personality This hotel is under great leadership We have enjoyed our stay We highly recommend TownePlace Suites!

This is definitely one of the nicer hotels in this price range in the area I stayed at some of the cheaper locations and I would really suggest paying a few dollars more to stay here The staff were amazing and friendly

The room was clean and nice It also has a kitchen in it if you want to save a little money from eating out This is so close to the Greenbelt Metro station, it’s really convenient It has free onsite parking I would definitely recommend this place!

Hotel was nice and very convenient for my business trip but the management is a joke for sure I checked in Friday and per the manager the front desk did not turn in my room to get cleaned so i was initially checked into a dirty room Was told that they were booked and she’d she what she could do and thankfully found me another room but the new room smelt like cigarettes/weed and covered with perfume

But i took the room with fear of not being able to be accomadate and had to get up early for training the next morning So I was told to call management Monday (today), so i did and asked for either comp’d stay or half off and told me no because i didn’t check out after staying one night I had my training all weekend (every where else was full due to this) so i had no options but to stay He refused to help me Their mess up because my inconvenience at a price which is very unprofessional

Terrific location, near many many restaurants, 3 miles from the Mall, rooms fairly good size with spacious bathroomWish the bathroom fan wasn’t connected to the light switch as I would have liked a night light without fan noiseBed was fabulous with squishy pillows and soft, soft sheets and comforter

Breakfast was a terrific buffet… $18 Best dining room I’ve seen attached to a hotelShout out to sweet Dolores at the desk who greeted returning guests with a cheery, ‘welcome back!’

I recently stayed at The Churchill and I rarely leave reviews, but I had such a great experience that I wanted to share As soon as I arrived, Gerard warmly greeted me He was so helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions

I had a few requests and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of My room was beautiful and most importantly very clean I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you’re in the DC area

The Churchill Hotel was a great place to stay We loved the room and the view from the 9th floor was fantastic The valet was really great and professional

Had our car ready on time every time The room layout was good since it had a separate alcove that my wife called her “makeup room” and she loved having her own space Definitely would recommend!

Nice hotel Parking was free on weekends so if you are leaving on a weekend there’s no need to payEntry is a bit weird off the street but the security of this hotel is 5 stars

You need your keycard to get around Staff was nice as well Room was clean Like most hotels the bathroom could use some more attention but overall was very satisfied

Rooms are okay The curtains still let light pass in the morning The extra bed had no blanket included so we had to order some (without charge but we specifically asked at check in but had to repeat request a second time)

Nothing else is included There is no swimming pool, no gym, no breakfast included, and a paid parking It’s disappointing for the price

NYCFLY

Convenient transportation, convenient shopping, quick check-in, considerate handmade chocolate cookies at the front desk, business center, easy access to computers, clean and tidy rooms But there is no matching pool and exercise equipment, the room does not have a microwave, parking is not ideal, there is paid parking and paid breakfastSo Check-in is recommended if parking and breakfast are not required

Fantastic experience from the moment we walked in the door The night Auditor Chris went above and beyond to help us get checked in and make it a simple experience He was kinda and knowledgeable and answered all our questions and made it an easy experience

When we needed a couple extra blankets and pillows he answered the phone so politely and greeted us by name asking how he could assist us When we stepped down later that evening for some snacks from the snack bar, he was super helpful and even got us a bag to carry all our items back upstairsThe room was nice, and clean We did not have any issues during our stay Parking is only $24 a night compared to many local places charging almost $50 Would definitely stay againWe were also happy to find out there is a metro station near by for future visits Where we could walk 2 blocks and be at the hotel

Beautiful smaller property Room is a bit outdated but it gives it a rustic historic feel The front desk staff are sweet and kind and accommodating

Beds are super comfortable, pillows are soft , room is basic but has what you need If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely stay here Thank you!

This Hotel is in a Great Location, and became my hubby and I, go to spot for comfort, relaxation and Great Service However, our most recent stay had determined that it would be the last time we patron, this Courtyard The room was inadequate, we were given a room right by the elevators, which became the alarm clock in the early morning, it was LOUD! No room service, even though the Website stated there would be, that needs updating

They did offer Grab & Go items, which should be changed to ” Grab- Pay & Go, some folks take that literally, just saying 🙄 The Hotel was kept cleaner before the Pandemic, because it was not up to cleanliness by any standards, the elevator’s were dirty, the carpet in our room didn’t look like it was vacuumed in a while, room was dusty, Guest were walking around without face covering, even though it’s the Hotel Policy to wear face covering?? There was some kind of Basketball tournament in the area and some teams did stay there, had I’d known that, this Courtyard would never had been an option and parking fees were also ridiculous, should be free free for Guest To bad though, this use to be a Really Good Courtyard Marriott, but we’ve moved on
