Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your room This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area

I’ve been coming here for a very long time If you stay for a few nights you will love it I’m sure!I loved our room and the restaurant “The Glowbal” We ordered various things and loved it all I wish the pool was open later but we enjoyed it and the jacuzzi aka whirlpool, as they label it

I think this might possibly be the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed inWhen we showed up the beds were made but they were so wrinkled that it’s hard to tell if someone had slept in the night before and then they just made the bed but definitely didn’t look like new bedding, comforter and sheetsThere were food stains on the floor, on the carpet, on the curtains You can see where there was liquid residue on the counters and on the table

There were stains on the hallway and in the elevatorOh yeah the toilets weren’t cleanedSlept on top of the blankets because we had to be at the hospital at 4:00 in the morning Otherwise we would have checked out and went to a different hotel

Carol Kay

I did a little staycation for 4th of July and was quite pleased I hadn’t been since last year, and they have made SO many improvements Rooms were extremely clean, brand new wallpaper, fresh paint, super clean carpets

I had a great room with a view of the mountains and could see the fireworks! As always, Pierre, the General Mgr was so pleasant and accommodating Great place to stay if you’re in Tucson It’s close to EVERYTHING!

Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I think my standards are high and I’m a bit picky I have never been more impressed with a hotel I was allowed an early check-in (due to unforseen events) and a late check out

The front desk staff is exemplary The attitude and professionalism of every single employee I encounteredsuch a friendly, “all is good”, relaxed attitudethe maid staff whistling tunes and singing while they clean It really has been a pleasure staying here and seeing genuinely kind people enjoying their jobsThis has been a difficult phase of my life, relocating and not feeling on solid ground and this hotel and this wonderfully kind staff made all the difference THANKS SO MUCH, I APPRECIATE EACH OF YOU!Also, the rooms are very comfortable and very clean and all the breakfast options are delicioustoo many options, I’m pretty sure I gained a few pounds

Andrea Maria

We have stayed here once before but never again after this stay There were small bugs in the bathroom that kept on coming that we eventually found on the bed We asked Linda in front what she could do about it and was told that it was common for the area

We have stayed in dove mountain and other Marriott hotels before where the wildlife is a feature, but we’ve never had these problems Housekeeping is doing their best to take care of them but there’s only so much they can do Kudos to the housekeeping staff for being friendly and helpful but Linda not so much We asked her twice to move us to another room, and no resolution was offered other than a reluctant move to another room We will be contacting general management on Monday

Halsey Hall Lindquist

Very impressed with the service Very nice breakfast I’m not that impressed with the rooms

Parts of the bathroom floor were constantly wet because the shower curtain didn’t seem to work the way it should and the showers faucet was so confusing One knob to turn on and one knob to change temperature We also had a broken window screen and a cricket in the window clearly due to the broken screen Would definitely stay here again But would try and be aware of some of those issues before hand

This is a 35 star review There are many good aspects and a few not so good things about Lodge on the Desert

Based on the pictures on the website and the room we were given there is likely a renovated half and a non-renovated half near the restaurant While we were on the restaurant side, our room was not as bad as what was noted in other reviews The carpet had not been vacuumed, but otherwise the room was clean enough and rather large Bathroom was fine and the large closet had the coffee service and fridge 3 stars The restaurant atmosphere was nice and they had a lot of outside seating The breakfast was free and was a set menu and not very exciting but tasty enough 4 stars The grounds have a great cactus garden and a lawn for pets and one for kids and events The pool is on the small side and there are not enough seats for everyone to enjoy 4 stars Very friendly front desk! Convenient location to everything in Tucson and local parks Will try to get a room on the renovated side next time

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for the first time, the staff and management were so friendly and helpful, and they were extremely courteousWe arrived at the resort on Easter lunch and experienced one of the best buffetGeneral manager was present and greeting all the guests, he also came to our table made sure we were well taken care of

Next day, We received a call from the hotel staff asking if our stay was going well and if we need anything Daily complimentary breakfast was more than our expectation Everything was perfectI would recommend this hotel to my friendsMike and Nina

Family comes here every year to visit Love love this place The vibes are always the best

Great out door seating at the restaurant which serves some of the best hotel breakfast out there It’s a buffet that changes every day, so yeah it’s awesome The rooms we stay in are always great We did get a room this trip that had a broken AC and they compensated us and moved us immediately to a room that had working AC and it was peachy Keep up the great service

Comfortable bed, quality materials in the room, plenty of swimming options including a swim up bar and large water slide Golf and tennis The breakfast was great! Staff was really friendly

Great views of the Catalina mountains Beautiful resortWhy is this not a 5 star review then? I’ve actually been in a 5 star hotel and there is quite a difference in quality and luxury Here are my critiques (minor gripes):The resort is very large and you’ll need to do quite a bit of walking to get to anywhere The pool area is in the middle; however, there is no direct path from the rooms to the pool This is the same with the dinning area Go from your room, to an elevator to the lobby, down two flights of stairs Need to leave to go anywhere in your car? Again, you’ll have to hike quite a ways to the parking lot from your room There was a tub in our room, but it was a single person tub Not exactly romantic if your plan is a romantic getaway

Krista Daggett

They are in the process of updating the rooms, the bed was a little too firm, the fridge in the room is way too small I hope they upgrade them! What a beautiful location! However be prepared for lots of walking, the resort is very spaced out and you can’t park anywhere near your room! The bellhop have lots of golf carts to shuttle everyone aroundWe were able to utilize the spa and enjoyed a couples massage, it was awesome! Nice facility

The pools are awesome, even had a guy playing music! Loved the waterfall, my husband loved the slideWe ate at both restaurants, good food Contigo was awesome! Highly recommended It was a great stay!

Justin Montgomery

The rooms were nice but honestly the beds weren’t queens and they were very uncomfortable Besides that it was great Service was on point

Everyone I encountered that worked there was great It is a bit pricey We stayed on the 4th of July so I don’t honestly know if we paid more or less than normal but my girl and her daughters had a blast The pols and slide are fun I’d definitely go back

I arrived for check in at 4:20PM, an hour and a half after the advertised check in time (3:00PM) The gentleman at the front desk was on the phone with someone and I was left waiting for about 10 minutes, only to be told there aren’t any clean rooms and I’d have to wait 20 minutes later a room was ready for me

Then, the person at the front desk told me my card had been declined even though I had told him I already completely prepaid After going back and forth with me and showing him my bank account where the room had been fully paid for weeks before check in, he called a manager over The manager showed him what he was doing wrong and I finally get to the room, but housekeeping is still inside the room cleaning I wait outside for about 10 minutes until they’re finished Inside the room is a king bed with 4 twin sized pillows, upon asking for 2 more pillows they were handed to me with pillowcases for me to put on myself Overall, a terrible experience that will keep me from coming back and this could have easily been avoided by proper customer service and honesty

Paul Shirey

Nice clean modern hotel I went to Mount Lemmon, Gates Pass, and Sentinel Peak Park and felt the hotel was in a good location for all that Tucked away off the main road

Nice modern suite with direcTV on a 55″ The desk is big enough you could probably set up a desktop computer for an extended stay Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast but good nonetheless Like that this hotel has digital room key from your phone Didn’t try the pool, fitness center, or ice machine In room refrigerator was nice and cold Plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby I will likely choose this location next time I’m in Tucson

Great place for our road trip stop for the night! Pool was heated and hot tub was large and cozy Good location, first watch and coffee shops across the street Staff was SO friendly and helpful!!!!! Lobby is lovely and the rooms were spacious

Room in the back was quiet Parking is a bit shady, but the hotel is gated inside The cactus garden was a nice touch, property was relaxing and quiet

Susan Renee

This hotel is top-notch It has very well kept grounds An amazing hot breakfast and the staff are super nice

Only bad thing is they charge you a $50 deposit each time you have a new reservation So, I suggest you figure out how many days and book accordingly Otherwise, like me, I stayed a few extra days in 3 new bookings and was charged $50 each day Also you must remind them to release your deposit or they’ll keep it Personal experience Other than that it’s a wonderful place to stay Oh and the pool is super nice

Tim Solomonov

I’ve been going around the states for the past few weeks and this one I admired the most Everything about was just right and the hotel itself is gorgeous and the pool area is jaw droppingStaff was the friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever seen so far, the way the inside of the rooms were laid out out was really nice, they have a living room separated from the bedroom, which I think is pretty smart

The breakfast here is just overkill for a hotel breakfastOne thing is, I noticed a bit of dust on some surfaces but I really don’t care due to how nice this place was, it could be because a lot of time has passed between it was cleaned when the next guests came The bathroom itself is a minuscule area (the sink is in the bedroom, not in the bathroom itself) but overall everything was great

Recently had to stay at this hotel due to a plumbing issue in my home My homeowners insurance made all of the arrangements The hotel itself was great, I loved the kitchenette styled rooms and they are very spacious

The kitchens come stocked with cooking utensils and place setting for 2 They also provide a coffee maker, and have neat shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the showers Housekeeping only comes once a week on Wednesdays, but if you need anything sooner you can go to the front desk and request it The only downside to this place is other tenets seem to be rather noisy and you can hear them moving around in the upstairs units if you are downstairs as we were Also the batteries for the electronic keycard doors went out, so we couldn’t get into our rooms until maintenance came and replaced the batteries Otherwise, I loved my stay there!

Nicole Amy

I absolutely loved staying at this hotel!!! The rooms are really nice, and I really loved having a full kitchen They have comfortable beds, they’re pet friendly, they have a nice pool, and they have a pretty good free breakfast w/frozen egg, bacon, cheese breakfast sandwiches, frozen breakfast burritos, yogurts, muffins, juices, coffee, milk, and bagels when I was there This is definitely my favorite hotel on the east side of Tucson

Very uncomfortable It has a halfway house atmosphere The “residents” dominate the common areas

They made my wife and I feel we were infringing on them There were verbal conflicts between residents We have stayed here multiple times the past 2 years This will be our last We will advise our outstanding of state family to stay elsewhere Management has made their choice

Kelly Chin

35ish for me Room is mostly well appointed and maintained

Parking area doesn’t inspire confidence, but no mishaps Cold shower one of two mornings, moderate noise from outside and from walls that seem thinner than normal, and a tub drain plug that doesn’t actually fit the drain lowered my rating Breakfast spread is mostly fairly good, though the scrambled eggs were not

Kris Conner

Ok, so before you judge this place by my post you have to understand a little about me I love skunky places They just have a little more character without any pretensions

Ok here we go first off this place is in a strip mall so make no bones about that It is clean, the beds are very comfy and the pool is good sized with a nice hot tub The laundry room is a plus! And there is a great continental breakfast that seems to be a dying commodity these days I love the hacienda styling in the courtyards Now the far side the hotel has partnered with a local rehabilitation center and does house some folks who are working to get clean So if this for you is an issue do be aware as the hotel does not just share this fact Otherwise 4 stars overall

My boyfriend and I stayed here for prom for 3 days and loved it! The room was very clean, and we enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning We got the executive suite and enjoyed how big the room was There was a balcony and it was very pretty to look at the city

I wish you could turn off the light on the balcony but other than that we enjoyed sitting up there Again very clean room which was a necessity, so I highly recommend

Eric Martin

Service is usually very good at this hotel This includes the front desk, snack/beverage center, and the bar/restaurant Housekeeping usually will say hi if you are passing them in the hallways

I don’t think they are doing much in the way of sanitizing or deep cleaning On this visit my bathroom was very dirty hairs all over the bathtub I hadn’t used it yet The sink was not cleaned out well and there was a towel and open travel packet on the floor slightly under the vanity You can see it when sitting on the toilet A sweep or mop of the floor would have moved the stuff So that lets me know that was not done either I NEVER go barefoot in a hotel I don’t care how nice it is I typically stay in Hilton or Marriott properties I did let the front desk know and they offered to change rooms but I had already unpacked and changed before I knew just how bad the bathroom was The front desk did note it The manager would be in the next morning I thought they would reach out to me This was a business trip so I didn’t have time to track a manager down I don’t think that should be my responsibility I stay this property often and the service is usually very good I understand we’re in a pandemic but poor service is poor service The rooms aren’t any cheaper than before the pandemic and we have less amenities than before

Joe Sandoval

Cons: Have stayed in larger rooms for the same price in the past, however the view of the mountains was incredibleWe saw the prices for breakfast and decided we could get more for our money driving to a restaurant near byPros:Arrived very very late

Kept the front desk posted of my late arrivalShannon was at the front desk upon my arrival Greeted me with a smile and a wonderful welcome Didn’t have a single problem checking in We stayed 4nights and enjoyed every single nightHotel and rooms were very cleanBeds very comfortableStaff very friendlyHad an issue with the beverage cooler in the room Eva immediately came to the rescue with a new fridge Would recommend to others for sureI will definitely stay here againThank you everyone for a comfortable stay

The bedrooms looks good, clean and they have like a restaurant with different options One of the waitresses with pink hair was rude She got mad at me because I decided to change the table because the music was a little bit loud in the morning

She looks upset instructing me where I should seat… it was in the morning the restaurant literally almost empty and the few people over there were surprised by her reaction and lack of manners The next days Of my stay at the hotel she didn’t say Good morning she just instructed me where to seat in a loud tone of voice and every body watching Really disappointed with my experience would not recommend it

Kona Andrews

I have to admit your receptionist was the best I stay in a quite a few Best Westerns This location topped it Not only did she thank me for being a diamond member she even upgraded me to a suit, now your membership says they do that but of all my stays it’s never happened until now then she topped it off by calling me in my room to check that everything was to my liking

👍🙌 thank you

Jon Bachura

Great value for a long work stay in Tucson! Working with PCC so the location is perfectoRoom was as expected, housekeeping top notch, free breakfast at Bumsted’s (see my review on Google), and beautiful landscapingOnly thing keeping this from a 5-star review is asking the front desk to replace the water bottle in the gym dispenser

But, everytime I went to the front desk to mention it, they filled my water jug for me So, many thanks Plus I needed to pick up my breakfast ticket anywayBest part was that they knew I was staying 5 nights so they picked a room for me that was close to the pool and parking Like, they actually used empathy and fore-site to consider the best stay for me Wow!Plus, other places I’ve stayed would have been a problem when my flights into TUS got delayed and I couldn’t check in until after-hours Best Western was there, doing their thing, at 1am when I walked through the open lobby doorsThat means a lot! Thank you

We chose to stay on the far end (back) of the property, to avoid noise from the pool & restaurant/bar It was a great decision, as we heard NOTHING We also had great mountain views from the balcony without paying extra for them

I wouldn’t recommend staying so far away if you don’t want to walk a bit for breakfast or the pool thoughThe rooms are spacious & comfort, but they could use a little closer eye to detail when cleaning (carpets were a little dirty & there were cobwebs on the window) There was a musty smell in the room, perhaps most people don’t stay on the far end of the property? Our fridge wasn’t plugged turned on, but it did work once we got it on There was a burnt out light in the bathroom that made it darker than is ideal il, but not a huge deal The hotel seems to be older and while they’re updated it a bit, there are certainly places they could improve on, as the property is gorgeous & has so much potential!Breakfast was delicious & plentiful but the evening reception snacks were lacking The pool was fabulous & probably my family’s favorite partI would stay here again for sure, if just like to see the property held to a higher standard

Alan Heintzelman

I pick to stay at an Embassy Suites property for a little more space and for the cook to order breakfast and nightly reception This property did not disappoint – the rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast outstanding The rooms face into an open area that is lush with vegetation and includes a walkway, fire pit and swimming pool and it was very pleasant

There is plenty of easy parking access and the service was good everywhere we went The rooms are starting to show a little aging but it was very subtle and not an issue I would definitely consider staying here on a future stay

Julie Goetz

My family members and I had 2 rooms at this hotel for the better part of 2 months while our house was being repaired for an insurance claim There is no way to pick my favorite part about this hotel- it is well kept and maintained, plus the grounds are pretty The rooms are a nice size

But if I had to pick my favorite thing about this hotel it would be the staff The front desk staff was organized and efficient and willing to help with anything and everything The restaurant/bar staffTina, Samantha, and Dawn were the friendliest I have met at the hotel that now I call them my friends I always looked forward to ending my day at the Reception with them You receive 2 complimentary drinks, plus a hot appetizer and munchies I didn’t eat at the restaurant too much, but what I did have was really good The breakfast you get every morning has everything anyone would wanteggs, omelet and waffle stations, sausage, toast, potatoes, juice, muffins, fruit, yogurtThe grounds and the elevators could have been picked up a bit morelots of leaves and stuff spilled on the concrete Housekeeping does a good job You have to opt in to those services and sometimes it didn’t get done Butif I needed anything, they brought it promptly to your room I could not figure out the A/C So, the fan was on high for most of my stay My shower was really nice, but had to have the drain fixed at one point I feel like the TV/Remote could be updated You can’t surf channels with the remote- you have to watch the guide until you find something and then punch in the number of the channel you want Took me awhile to figure that one out The pool is large and somewhat heated The Hot Tub looked niceit was always filled with kids running back and forth from it, so I didn’t spend much time there I’m sure I would appreciate it more if I had kids These are just small things I noticed, but they did not ruin my stay at all I would recommend this place for a long or short stay Thank you Embassy Suites for providing a wonderful place to live for the past 2 months
