Had a great experience with our 2 nights stay during Feb 2022Excellent hot breakfast with everything refilled until 10amSuite was spacious with refrigerator and microwaveComfortably accommodated our family of 4 with two teenagers

Only thing I missed was the gymPool and Hot Tub were great !Check out time of 11am gives plenty of time to relax in the morning

Average hotel, which was expected based on pricing for the area Some of its aspects were very nice, others were a little disappointing Feels like they are missing an attention to detail that could really improve the quality

Beautiful main lobby & gathering areas Breakfast was decent Cherry coffee was great! The indoor pool and hot tub were nice (beautiful ceilings)We stayed in one of the suites Good size Pillows and bed were sub-par The jetted tub had a large crack in the side (didn’t affect functionality) Bathroom was fine but the drop ceiling was a little dingy/rusted The couch in the living space is definitely worn down We also found leftover rotting food in the microwave from the previous guest, along with multiple large spiders crawling around the walls & ceilingOverall, I’m glad we tried the hotel, and it is in a great location (DQ & Pirate’s Cove right next door) With how much we travel & stay in hotels, maybe we just have higher expectations based on our experiences (2 star to 4 star hotels) Nice weekend, but I don’t think we would stay here again

Shell Nolan

Breakfast was okRoom was okRented the room specifically for the pool and hot tub, for two nights

The first night we tried swimming in the hot tub There was what looked like tobacco chew and also a centipede bug floating in the hot tub We were only in there for about ten minutes Got out and told front desk staff They went down and looked at the hot tub The second morning the hot tub was still dirty and by the second night we checked again, and there was still a bunch of black stuff floating around in the hot tubNeedless to say we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tubDo not recommendSpend the extra 30 bucks per night somewhere else And check all hot tubs before payment

We had an amazing time here! There were so many options of things to do, places to go and eat that we were never boredThe water park was amazing! It was very clean, safe, and enjoyable for all ages The food was incredible

We were able to try every provided restaurant, as well as their catering AND I’ve cream shop – DELICIOUS! Build a bear was a very pleasant experience and the arcade was a blast! Very clean and organized The rooms were huge, and provided everything you’d need, with a beautiful balcony view Our whole family enjoyed spending every extra moment we could collecting gold on Magiquest, and the kids loved the extra activities like story time and the dance parties All of the staff were friendly and helpful We would love to come back again!

Eric Phillips

Expensive, but absolutely fantastic! The suites are adorable with their outdoor-themed bunk beds and significant extra room for sleeping The food and staff are good But the crown of the Great Wolf Lodge is the enormous water park! Three large “big kid” water slides, two small kid water slides, and so many pools and fun water areas make for an amazing water park! The water park is the most fun for kids aged 3 to about 10 or 11

Scott Hable

Wonderful facility Clean and welcoming Plenty to keep kids and adults busy with many free activities outside of the actual water park

Frank, a gentleman who works the lobby and greets you with wolf ears, sets the tone for a wonderful staff who aims to please Great times with friends Great accommodations Great food and fun We will be back!

The hotel is right at the down town and walkable to everything! I loved the location The hotel itself is very old but renovated Overall I enjoyed the stay with my wife and two small dogs, and I appreciate them providing pet friendly rooms very much

Traverse city was absolutely beautiful and the location greatly helped to explore it more by bike and by foot If I would add a couple of improvement points…1) the entrance and the elevator can be cleaner and newer (The first impression was ‘this hotel is old’)2) Pet rooms (west wing) can be deep cleaned sometimes (there were some stains on the carpet, and the entire west wing smelled funny )3) lighting can be improved (the new led light was too white, and they used different colors all over the hotel, some are a bit warm )If they could improve these points, the quality of stay would improve a lot

Todd Hawke

For the price you’d think it be clean Elevator smelled like sewage and sweaty feet, the doors had water/beer/pop marks and prob needed to be upgraded at least 10 years ago The room was very small, the bathroom was tiny, and maybe if they vacuumed it they would of picked up the hair pin that was in the middle of the floor

The bar/restaurant was closed more then it was open, the martini bar wasn’t open and they were out of lots The bar also needed to be cleaned, like deep clean The bar was actually full on Saturday but they closed at 10 anyway, not smart business but I’m not the owner Staff was interesting to say the least Only good thing was you could walk to everything This hotel used to be so nice and clean it’s just not anymore

Kristin Brooks

I surprised my parents with a two night stay and they were less than impressed For $1,163 they had a tiny room that faced the parking lot The coffee machine had black slime in it and after asking for it to be cleaned they discovered it was simply “wiped out” and not cleaned

They had requested towels (twice) to be delivered that was not executed There were two staff members cooking and serving for the whole restaurant One lady even warned, “today is my first day and it’s trial by fire” I am beyond disappointed for what I paid It did not meet my expectations by any means The only positive was the person on the phone who helped me get a bottle of champagne to their room He was extremely nice

Mallory Burgess

Perfectly nestled along downtown and walking distance from the beach Valet and front desk were helpful, rooms were nice and for the first time at a hotel I never even turned the TV on Our group enjoyed the rooftop bar a lot and it was great weather for it

The rooms also have the best shower and the white noise machine was a nice touch for those of us who can’t sleep in silence! Everything about the hotel seemed thoughtful, even down to the little cherry treats and local snacks in the hotel marketplace Would definitely stay again!

Mary Pearson

We enjoyed our overnight stay! Our room was lovely with a bay view! Cocktails at the rooftop bar, with a bay view, were a highlight on a beautiful afternoon! Great location for a walk downtown for dinner The valet was helpful in information about the option of on street parking The bar staff was friendly and the drinks were good

The one front desk staff could have provided more information about Hotel amenities We enjoyed coffee and baked goods to go, also very good We’d love to return

Robin Chancey

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms and beds, a fantastic bathroom, and a great location However our stay in early May was ridiculously expensive at $1029 for 3 nights without the usual amenities of fridge, microwave, pool and robes At that price, you’d think they’d comp the Smart Water instead of charging 4 bucks abottle! Avoid the bar—it’s acomplete rip-off

My $12 Old Fashioned consisted of a half jigger of bourbon in a tiny glass with a couple of cherries and an orange slice Not at all tasty There are much better bar/restaurant options just around the corner

What a great place to stay Clean, specious, great facilities

ideal for business for sure Lots of space to plug computers and some very comfortable chairs close by any work area in the lobby Nice swimming pool Super friendly staff The general manager ( Connie) was super friendly and very professional A very hard-working lady Chris, at the reception, was also a star extremely accommodating and super helpful My favorite place to stay and great value for money Oh, I forgotgreat selection for breakfast too and also immaculate Well done! See you very soon!

Arrived in a raging snow storm

no snow removal in the carport or rear entrance (2ft snow drifts to wade through) Continental breakfast was terrible biscuits still frozen, the sausage seemed to be undercooked no coffee??? They don’t offer room cleaning everyday, left towels in the hall to be replaced NOT! When I asked for new towels I was lectured Asked for a late checkout and was given an extra 30 mins IN A EMPTY HOTEL! Beds are in need of replacement couch would have been more comfortable!I’m not one to to normally leave a review or be too critical this just might be my last stay in this establishment very disappointed!

EatThis Detroit

Hotel was fairly clean and accommodaing but the rates were almost $300 per night with my discount I felt for that price we didn’t get our money worth Mattresses were not very comfortable and we did not receive room service

I found out that we would have to request room service every night rather than it being provided Not very picky but there was a sign on the backdoor attached to the glass filled with dead bugs which was kinda nasty Staff was nice and Mrs Johnson at the front desk was very sweet

I can honestly say that you will not find a more stunning view of the bay than you will see here Request a higher floor if you can because the view is so worth it! The only downfall about not being on the first floor is that there is only one elevator that is pretty slow because you have to share with so many peopleOur room was nicely maintained and had a nice sized fridge, separate kitchenette sink, microwave, and coffee maker

The room was spacious and nicely lit, and the bathroom was very clean and looked brand newThe hotel is in a nice location if you don’t like the chaos of downtown There is a nice large private beach on the property with a place to rent water sports equipmentHuge shout-out to Laura (housekeeping,) the lady making breakfast, and the front desk attendant – They are seriously so sweet and helpfulOverall, highly recommend! We will definitely visit again if we ever have a reason to come back to TC

Lisa Kellogg

We really loved the staff at the Cherry Tree – so friendly and welcoming!Renovations were taking place during our stay, which we weren’t anticipating upon arrival and it initially felt chaotic However, everyone – including the construction crew – was so nice and accommodating Housekeeping left a bit to be desired – it was unclear what services, like trash removal, were provided on a daily basis and how to utilize them

The hot breakfast is a nice perk, though one day no hot breakfast items were available due to a shipment that didn’t arrive That was a disappointment (especially with kids counting on the waffles)The rooms are nice – kind of similar to a Hampton Inn, where we tend to stay We were supposed to be in the Sleeping Bear Suite – selected specifically for our family of 5 including 3 small kids – but found out upon check-in that we had been moved As a planner who had meticulously looked at pictures and layouts of all the suites, I wasn’t thrilled with the very last minute change Our room still had a wrap-around balcony with an incredible view of the bay!If we come back to Traverse City, we’d definitely look into staying here again – and a lot of that has to do with the warm and kind staff Kudos to all the team members there!

Sonya Taylor

Love, Love, Love this hotel!!! It is the cutest thing ever!! It has it’s own private little beach with fire pits Service was spectacular even though they were renovating the lobby areas I witnessed other guests booking out months in advance for their next vacation!! It’s close to several eateries and shops

And if you’re going on the bus wine tour, the pickup spot is right down the street!! This will be our go to spot every year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at the beautiful Delamar Hotel in Traverse City, Michigan in early June The room was clean and quiet, and nicely decorated, and the bed was very comfortable The bathroom was modern

We enjoyed all the amenities, including swimming in both the indoor and outdoor pools, and participating in a morning yoga class which was excellent The food and service in both restaurants were excellent We had two dinners at The Artisan, and three breakfasts in the Cafe, and all the food was outstanding All the staff was friendly and helpful We look forward to staying at the Delamar in Traverse City again

John B.

Lets begin on a positive note The hotel property was very nice The staff was fantastic! The lobby we very clean and welcoming – the quarter lounge chair was a very nice piece and the food was very good

Here is my issue We had a two night stay that they have known about since last Fall (2021) and our room was a joke (besides the bed, which nice) At this room rate the you shouldn’t see wallpaper paste on the walls The bathroom was pathetic! The ‘fit and finish’ was a joke! Uncaulked gaps around the door, the flooring looked as if it was hastily installed, the barn-door had hardware that fell off! The worst was under the sinkthere was a swept small pile of dried grout – really!? At a property at $450/night, I would expect a whole lot more! The two star rating is kinda harsh, but the room/bathroom just killed all my other positive opinions You have a great foundation, your just too far away for me to pay that rate again

Jim Brownlee

I was impressed We had a room with a king and bunk beds for kids Clean room, very nice

AC worked great Property was nice Location good All the staff I had encounters with were friendly and helpful Pool and hot tub was open later than alot of places which I appreciateOne negative We were there with a large group for a wedding Some of the couples in our group were on the 3rd floor which was being remodeled Much different experience for everyone in the group who ended up on that floor Too hot and rooms weren’t as nice/clean

Our stay at Points North was the worst/best getaway weekend ever We started in room 202 It was clean, but furnishings had all seen better days

Furniture was really beat up The room was missing key elements like a comforter for the bed and hangers for our coats We went shopping and bought what we needed At that point, we were happy to do it because of the amazing view of the bay from our roomAt about 2am I woke up in a room that was about 50 degrees The heat had quit working We started trying to call the desk It is not open 24 hours It was very difficult to get in touch with someone for after hours assistance Once we made contact, the maintenance staff arrived pretty quickly They were unable to fix the problem but with management approval they offered us a room move We moved rooms at 4am (outside access only) during a blizzard The whole experience was awfulHowever, staff went out of their way to make it right They were polite and very accommodating The remainder of the weekend was spent in room 205 Overall nicer room as far as the furnishings but still missing essentials like the comforter for the bed Still the highlight was the gorgeous view of the bayThree stars for the view and staff effort We don’t plan on a repeat stay at this property and hesitate to recommend to others

Nina Hundt

I stayed here about a week ago in room 203 Lori checked us in and was very hospitable In my mind I pictured a hotel, but the entrances to the rooms were outside

The room overall was good The outside of the hotel and some of the furniture was a little outdated, but I knew that going into it Because there is a jacuzzi tub in the room, there was no room for a full size shower, which was worth it for the luxury of a jetted tub in my opinion The bed was set up perfectly so you could wake up to a beautiful view of the bay The cleanliness of the room was decent There was a few things that could have been touched up, but the important thing to me is that the bed, shower and jacuzzi were all clean I believe the pillows are feather or something similar, which is my favorite The bed was super comfy I could lay in it all day! The one thing I did notice was that the ice bucket and lid were dirty The lid had something gooey on it I just didn’t use the lid and since there is a bag for the bucket I didn’t get a new one The ice machine was also down due to some installation issues I was worried that we would have to leave the hotel to buy ice, but Lori got us some from the office We stayed here 2 nights total and the first day I didn’t really mind, but by the 2nd day I was getting pretty annoyed with the person above us stomping around constantly By the way they were walking, I really can’t vision them being a guest at the hotel, but actually living there because it was constant back and forth ALL DAY and it was definitely just one person, not multiple I gave this hotel 3/5 stars because it was perfect for what I needed It was economically priced for being lakeside and pretty close to downtown Despite the minor inconveniences and the person above us, it was a nice room

Mariah Hector

The front desk staff were wonderful! Very nice and extremely personable I had a deal on the room but for what price normally is, this was ridiculous

the cabinet door was hanging off the hinges, floor was dirty, hair on the pillows, black gunk in the shower, the fan in the bathroom sounded busted and LOUD and the ceiling fan was constantly on if you wanted the light on (string was missing) With some updating and better housekeeping this hotel has great potential!

The hotel was fine It is clearly a 2-3 star hotel The main complaint is that they charge a 5 star price (over $600/night) for a 2 star stay

— For comparison, a weekend stay in Boston in a 4 star hotel on the water costs between 300 and 500 The room is quite small and modestly furnished The décor is a little tired and certainly nothing special During the entire stay, they did not clean the room a single time – The staff was very friendly and made the stay enjoyable and earned the only 4 stars imho – the location was acceptable but certainly not a $600 view Not even a $200 view I understand that traverse city is very popular in the summer but these prices are insane You can stay at The Grand Traverse Resort for a 1/3 of the price with a spectacular view and a whole host of amenities within the complex This place is just not worth it

I stayed two nights recently and the stay was not ideal First, lets get some of the good things out of the wayPROs:- Location was decent (outside of the hustle/bustle of downtown TC, more in the business district with shopping nearby like Target and Meijer and Best Buy)- Updated Lobby was niceCONS:- The room was not super clean, hairs on the floor and in the bathroom- The bathroom light stopped working on the first night, I contacted the front desk TWICE to get it fixed, but they never even looked at it

It was fun showering in the dark- They said they had to do maintenance on the A/C unit when I checked in, when I came back it appears they did do that but the floor was SOAKED with water Like water everywhere in the corner I told the front desk about that also, and no one seemed to care- The pool lacked any airflow inside alsojust seemed super stuffy (not like other pools I have been in at hotels)So, all in all, it was not an ideal trip

Liz K

Absolutely amazing experience The staff is incredible and so very helpful They answered every question and were able to help with setting up the rooms for my brother’s wedding

The hotel is very clean and the rooms were bigger than I expected and very clean I really cannot stress enough how friendly every employee is that we met Highly recommend staying here!!

The location and outdoor spaces are spectacular! They were kept clean and neat! The sunset views from the deck can’t be beat! I love that it is a small place, never felt crowded The staff is lovely and helpful The room was very small and our bathroom seemed to have lost its pocket door which had been replaced with a shower curtain

It would have been nice to have a bit of privacy in the bathroom The floors in the room could really have used a good mopping and the shower head and curtain were both in need of a good cleaning That said, we enjoyed our stay tremendously and would stay again but for the cost, I feel like things could have been a fair bit cleaner and the bathroom door really needs to be replaced

Alice Turner

Our family enjoyed this place so much The front desk staff and Roxanne were so friendly and kind to our family and especially my 5 year old daughter We all loved the beach which had plenty of chairs and sand to play in

Our room was a little tight with our pack and play for our baby, but had everything we needed and was so clean and comfy The view was unbeatable Everything looks newly updated Grab and go breakfast was just what we needed to get going in the morning We would 100% stay here again (and plan to) Wished we could have extended our stay this time!

I could not have been made to feel more welcome and comfortable by the wonderful Roxie and her team at the Brio Beach Inn I didn’t want to leave! The rooms were spacious, clean, peaceful, and super comfortable, and being by the water with the private beach area was an absolute dream Roxie went out of her way to make my stay (and my first time in the US!) as smooth and as enjoyable as possible

I can’t wait to come back! Thank you Roxie!

Great room I am a third shift travel nurse This location is quiet, and the room is amazing

I love the alcove that it has where the window is located; it really helps to keep it dark when sleeping in the day The staff are always very pleasantThe room service is at your requestThe one draw back I see is that the handy cap bathroom has no door and the water, even with the floor towel, the floor gets wet, and this is a concern as it may lead to falls

My family and I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago Our stay was very exceptional and was pet friendly which was the make or break for us being how we lived in PA and couldn’t leave the dogs at home They didn’t cause a big fuss because we had the dogs which was a big relief for me

Although the weather wasn’t the best for our vacation we still had a blast and your hotel was part of the experience My son is 7yrs old and his favorite part was the pool you guys had in the basement He said it looked like a pumpkin lol But everything was good and if we ever come back to TC we will definitely stay here again Only thing I would recommend is more lights on the one side of the room because when it gets dark it’s a little dim on that side but no big deal Thanks for everything!

I wish I could give more then 5 stars! All the staff were super friendly, my room was clean, breakfast was hot, the pool/ hot tub is open 24hrs, and they have a free shuttle service that will take you wherever you need to go so you don’t have to drive and try to navigate an unfamiliar town and can go out and not worry about driving back to the hotel after a few too many drinks! Will definitely plan on staying here next time I’m in Traverse City!

My fiance and I spent a night here for our 5th Anniversary and were pleasantly surprised We paid a little more for the room than we would have liked, but it was worth it when we checked in only to find a handwritten card and a local bottle of wine waiting for us in our room, courtesy of the staff The jacuzzi tub was huge and the bedding was heavenly

Great place for a little staycation especially during the winter months when beach access or a view are not a huge priority

Dr. Barbara M Wright

We were visiting due to a family emergency I was able to get two adjoining rooms on short notice, and they have a special rate for people who are in town due to a family member being at the hospital! The rooms were nice, the facility was clean, and they had a workout room, a hot tub, and an indoor pool And, they serve free breakfast downstairs in the morning! What more could you ask for?

Air-conditioning did work well all week Stopped working the last two days of our stay The temp was 80 in the room and they offered us a fan

They had to order the part for the air conditioner They don’t seem to keep up with the maintenance of the building The valve for the tub was broken and the beds really need to be replaced I had to put a blanket on the mattress under the sheet to be able to sleep I won’t be staying here again

I travel for work a couple times a month I stay here whenever possible All other hotels are graded on a curve created by this property

Management obviously has very high standards and it shows in the staff and the whole property Lobby, grounds, parking lot and public areas are ALWAYS clean and organized Rooms are ALWAYS clean and tidy and in perfect or near perfect shape Probably the best beds of any hotel I’ve stayed in All of the staff are ALWAYS friendly and professional They always have “little extras” to show appreciation for Bonvoy Members I’ve never seen any staff using a personal cell phone One morning, after a few inches of snow, the maintenance staff cleaned snow off of EVERY car in the lot I’ve never seen that! Thank you to everyone for making me feel at home when I’m not at home

I can’t say enough good things about our stay hereFirst of all the staff was amazing!!! Everyone was really kind and friendlyThe room was spotless We had a total of 3 rooms and everyone was very happy about the cleanlinessThe amenities were great The pool and hot tub area was clean and stocked with towels; this is big for me because several times I have gone to other hotels and cannot use the pool because it is overcrowded and out of towels, definitely not the case hereAlso each afternoon they put out lemonade and tea along with flavored syrups; this was a big hit with our group and a really nice touchThe breakfast bar each morning had a great selection and something for everyoneIn addition they had a computer and printer available at no charge for the guests, which was helpful as we needed to print documentsNext time we are in the area we will definitely be staying here

My husband and I prefer Marriott when traveling as we have always had excellent experiences with them Unfortunately, this Fairfield was the exception This was our first overnight hotel stay with our infant son and it was awful

We were unknowingly placed in a handicap room on the first floor and immediately upon arrival we noticed a strong musty, moldy, body odor smell throughout our room and down the hallway The room smelled like wet clothes and towels were left in a pile somewhere for days There was visible black mold in the corner of the shower and on the window curtains which aggravated my husband’s asthma overnight When we complained about the smell, a staff member just came in and sprayed a deodorizing spray which made no difference Window wouldn’t open more than two inches so we couldn’t get any fresh air to air it out Because the room was handicap accessible, we were stuck with a roll in shower that allowed water to leak all over the floor in the bathroom No counter space to put things, just a sink My husband scoped out the complimentary breakfast the next morning which looked sparse so we did not partakeThe place was fully booked so they couldn’t move us to a different room, but we got no apology from the staff or offer to make it right No greeting/acknowledgment from staff when leaving or returning Certainly not worth anywhere near $250/night We will never stay here again, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area Based on other reviews, it looks like we are not alone Very disappointed with Marriott this time

We booked online and then never received a confirmation So, my fiance called to double check and then everything was supposed to be good We ordered a regular room with a queen bed and somehow they gave us a handicapped room

Which should’ve been given to someone that actually needed it However, Even this room didn’t make sense for anyone disabled The shower is so small that you can barely move inside of it There’s no room to put anything They also have the lock on the bathroom door on the outside which makes no sense They said it was for safety reasons If that’s the case, they shouldn’t even have a lock on it and just have a regular handle on it instead

Klara Fye

$706 for 2 sleeps and a wake up Check in is at 4 pm and Check out is 11 am The room was not cleaned well at all

Thick dust on the services I have no idea who they have there cable hooked up to but it’s about what a $50/night motel would have Shower was old and had mold on the shower head and hair on the bathtub and floor The breakfast was barely edible and none of the appliances worked properly Forks had food on them, as did the plates The eggs were powdered and not real I’m still in shock that this was $350 a night This is a standard no frills room
